I am from Chennai and I bought one Samsung 2 ton rating split airconditioner, just 15 months ago-on Jan2008.It worked well for 4 months from the date of installation, then did not cool.When complained to compnay Toll free call center, they arranged for repairing after 3 days. The service people-they are not from Samsung, but they are outsourced by Samsung to carry out the repairs and services-said that they have to check the cooling coil and dismantled the airconditoned cooling unit and came back after 7 days, saying that the problem solved and re-installed the unit.
Then again in 6 months from re-installation date the cooling effect not good, so we again went through same routine, calling Samsung call center, they in turn sent their service agent and same service agent came again to inspect the unit. This time also the cooling coil is the problem, so they said they will replace the coolong coil.Since the airconditioner carries a 12 month warranty, they did it free of cost. We have to shout at them for this repeated problem, etc, etc.They promised that the problem is solved permanently. But alas, the unit now is not working again, same cooling problem, but now NO WARRANTY and we are afraid how much we have to spend for the repair now.That is their story.
Will somebody help me with some solution for this and can we sue Samsung in Consumer Rights commission?
