Snapdeal sold us Used and Warranty Expired iPhone 5s 32 GB in INR 29, 500
Post delivery, we have noticed that phone packing is dirty and has scratch on
transparent skin on touch screen, I have called Apple support to verify the authenticity of phone and Apple support team confirmed that iPhone SNAPDEAL sold me is actually a used one and warranty had already expired.
This is biggest fraud i can ever experience and that too for such expensive item.
We have reported this snapdeal wherein unfortunately we were cross questioned to prove & bring written document from Apple.
I have asked at least 10 times to transfer me to Senior / Managers but neither phone call was forwarded nor escalated.
Although it is Snapdeal's duty to gather all such details when customer complains about such serious issues however customer care was kept arguing endlessly and saying "Pls. provide us written email from Apple then only we'll return the phone"
Hence we spoke to apple again and request for written statement of respective iphone's status wherein eventually they have understood our problem and provided us the written statement of iphone. Iphone's warranty was already ended as they sent me email as:
"Phone you have in your possession. IMEI:[protected] has an original purchase date of 03/21/2014 and the limited one year warranty ended as of 03/20/2015. The original carrier policy is for Japan."
To me - Why should customer prove about the product ? It is seller's duty to prove that good sold are brand new and has valid manufacturer warranty.
I have so far spent 550 NOKS in making phone calls to SNAPDEAL and US based apple helpline, that should also be taken into account. Based on email it is crystal clear and written proof that SNAPDEAL sold me warranty expired already Used phone.
Seeing the email from Apple, in urgency engineer visit was scheduled and phone was picked up by courier however unfortunately now Snapdeal played another tricky move by closing the return request stating quality checks have been failed even phone was inspected and carefully checked by snapdeal engineer and a written form was given to us and picked up courier agency.
Question is how the quality check has been made failed even verified by snapdeal's own engineer and at our end we have not even powered on the phone as we know the consequences o[censored]sing it.
Snapdeal is forcing us to accept the product instead of returning money and sending it with courier, we will not going to accept at any cost as this is biggest fraud can ever happen with a customer, who have been sold a used and warranty expired phone, email from Apple can't be neglected.
Please help us to get our money back only and don't need any replacement, we have lost faith in snapdeal.
