There is huge disappoint in me after buying Sony W8 series because buying I found there wont be any update's released by sony for the phone, Why is so you guys have launched 4.0 Ice-cream sandwich android version but the W8 doesn't get the update. There are thousands o[censored]ser's who are disappointed after buying the same. Please find below the some review's

I brought W8 and was really unhappy after looking into reviews. Is there going to be upgrade of os to android 2.3 or 2.2 If yes then please let me know the date..
If not please provide the thrid party link where i can upgrade to 2.3.

Is sony Ericsson W8 upgrade to android 2.3/2.2
The w8 was sold to me assuring me of a DEFINITE upgrade to a higher version of android. Its the only reason i even bought it, the "definite" upgrade. Im really disappointed looking at these reviews. Its quite ironic how other brands give us phones with a 2.2 for way lesser than how much u cough up for a w8 with the assurance of an upgrade. I definitely feel CHEATED n would appreciate it if someone from SE made things clearer for all o[censored]s please. Its just too annoying!! :|

Consider to upgrade W8 update to 2.2 or better.

I am a new user of Sony ericsson Mobile.... I switched from Nokia just to experience Android. and I must say I am utterly dissapointed by Sony. what ever happens My next won't be a Sony any more. Wat a waste W8 sucks..

Sony Mobile We're sorry to hear that you feel this way. I'm afraid that I can confirm that the W8 handset will not receive any Android updates passed the Android 2.1 version.
The only handset from the same portfolio as the W8 receiving further updates...
My Only Question is y has the company not mentioned anything on its retail box or on its site there wont be any update for the phone, so that the buyer can decide before buying the phone whether to buy it or not

    One Sony Ericsson Mobile Handset Model no Ji012 was given to Authorised Service Centre of M/s Sony Ericsson i. e. M/s Radhe Krishanan Communication ,Panipat vide Work Order No SE [protected] dated 26.06.2012 for repair which was under Warranty. The party is giving every time fresh date of delivery ,but it is not repaired since now even though exiry of about two months.I have requested to provide me standby handset till it repair or another set if beyond repair.I have also given compalint on Sony Ericsson Customer Care on Phone and register on line comlaint havin RMS Icket No.SES[protected] and SES[protected] ,But no reply received.I
    I am facind difficulty without Phone and unable to received important call. I request to provide me another set ,since it is not expected to be repaired.

    Sony Ericsson — mobile phone

    my fairly expensive c902 has been a major dissapointment to me, i have owned several sony erricssons before this one and have previously had nothing but good things to say, however this model has been problematic from the moment i purchased it and people with the same model all say the same thing,no wonder they have such large profit margins when they make a bad product and disreguard loyal customers complaints, i will now switch to nokia!

    Sony Ericsson / Mobile Phone — Delay in Service / repair

    Mobile purchase on Jan 2009. It is under warranty period. Problem - Loudspeaker noise not clear - i.e. audio problem. Earphone not working. Given to their Service Centre at Cochin on 1st Dec. Today is 14th December, but still not repaired. The delay gives tension. Hope if I could get it without any further delay. The Workorder Number: SE309ACH11546. When asked the Service Centre they said the dalay is caused due to lack of Spare Parts. They are awaiting for the Spare Parts, but can't say how long it take.

    If you can expedite the process I would be grateful.

    dear sir
    this is to state that i Somnath Goswami purchased a sony erricsson mobile set w580i from big bazar bhubaneswar on 28th March 2009. The display (lcd) of the phone stopped working on 25th of June 09. I registered a complain inthe Sonyerricsson service center at Shahid Nagar and did waited for 2 months almost to get a proper display replacing the old display which was not working.
    Now the very next week I got transferred to Kolkata and on my way back again the new display which was replaced became blank and stopped working. As I returned back to Kolkata I contacted one of the Sony erricsson service center Ayan Electronics at poddar Court; I was treated very badly by the person there and he told me that my complain was not closed in bhubaneswar by the servicecenter there so I need to close it and then only my mobile display will be replaced.
    Now my question is to the SonyErricsson people is it my fault that the I have purchased their product or is it my fault that the service center in Bhubaneswar has not closed the complain.
    I purchased a mobile of my dream brand and now i am suffering the most and do not know wether my set will be repaired or not. Infact I do have my warrenty but i do not know wether my warrenty will be executed or not.
    Please do help me out and forward this to the sony erricsson service people and get my mobile done ok
    otherwise I need to do something else which is not good for the brand nor for me.

    I have sony ericsson k-850i mobile phone.My phone's display got defected and i send my mobile to sony ericsson service centre at ahmedabad,Gujrat on 3rd aug.2010.My work order is SE[protected],but still i didnot get my mobile got repaired.If i didnot get repair my mobile within a week,then i will go to consumer court and seek action againsed company.

    Sony Ericsson — Non Availability of body cover of K550i -Mobile phone

    The body cover of my mobile-k550i (Sony erricsson) damaged. and we are trying to find out the same last six months but unable to find the location from where it can be purchased. harvir singh,610/6,Jagriti Vihar, Meerut,U.P.India
    Sir, my mobile set model number is W760i. now my mobile connector is required to change as it is not in working condition. but the service center technician is telling that if it will be changed then in future it will not be get any kind of service warranty for your mobile.

    So my question is why it will be going to happens?? it was not my fault for the same. so pl provide me the balance 6 months warranty period for atleast technical problem.

    Sony Ericsson — delay of mobile repair

    I had purchased a Sony Ericsson Mobile, Model :- Experia active ST17i
    on 19/04/2012 from North India Top company(online Homeshop18)
    But my mobile got damage due to technical problem as the LCD was completely Blank i.e. No Text or Picture were on displaying on the screen, so for that I had given my hand set to Service centre – The mobile care,C.G.Road, Ahmedabad at a complain no.SES[protected]for sony care) reference no.93342975 and job no.is 11583 Dt. 22/06/2012.

    I visited several times at care centre but they are not responding properly and also can't say any thing about my mobile in the last 15 days.

    As I'm a customer, I've not seen such type of Poor, Dumb, Lazy work and service by your Executive.

    As the name of the so Big but sevice is very poor.

    So, I shall be highly obliged if your please look into matter and delivered my mobile as soon as posible.

    If you are not able to repair give me new handset or refund my money back.

      I bought the new sony xperia s(imei no- [protected]) on[protected]. I noticed a yellow tint on its display after few weeks.When I contacted sony service center; I came to know that its a manufacturing fault and sony will replace it with new unit.
      Hence, I submitted my xperia s unit on 06/08/2012 to accelfrontline tardev mumbai. I was told that I would receive the replacement in 7 days. Its been more than 15 days and I still haven't received my phone back. I have already escalated the issue with sony xperia support team twice and still there is no response.
      After 15 days of depriving me of my phone and the hassle of contacting service center, moreover I still haven't received my phone back; hence I demand for full compensation and replacement of my phone asap.

        I have purchased a Sony Smart phone on 18the August 2012. shown at Gadget Guru. I went to thee website to verify thee tall claims and praise for SONY. Sony smartwatch worked withe my SAMSUNG Galaxy Note. The message and Face book font was very very small and cannot be read. Contacted sony customer care therough theeir Toll free line. They told theat theey have no solution and I have to live withe theis only. Their Demo on thee application for thee watch (virtual demo) on thee phone shows thee text size will be large and is perfectly readable. Unfortunately SONY does not allow any demonstration and declares theat Android version ( 4.0.4) and Galaxy perfectly matches each otheer. The Tall claim is totally false theey have software problems. SONY is a great company but theey have now turned theeir face on theeir customer complaint. A redress is very much necessary else all the customers of this watch will badly suffer.

          I took my Sony Ericson xperia set E15i to Mobile gallery & UG-26 Suneja Tower II District Centre, Janakpuri, New Delhi- 110058 &. told phone is charging of and on. They repaired phone & charged Rs. 1450 for changing " jack " vide receipt no. 1086 dtd. 16/8/2012. As the phone was not functioning , I went again. Receptionist checked & found that it was not charging. She gave to incharge . After 1/2 hour he told me it is charging & he would not see the set till it stops functioning. Probably he wants to finish warranty period of one month. They are not paying any heed even now. A big co. like Sony Ericson is denting its image by outsourcing this work to dishonest people.

              I had purchased a Sony digital camera, Model Name :- DSC- W530/BQ E32, Serial No.-1278820 on 26/10/2011 from Croma Electronic Mega store (Infinity Retail Ltd.), Ansal Plaza, Greater Noida, District- Gautam Budha Nagar (U.P.). Now Camera is not working & it is under three years warranty including extended warranty.                   Hi! I have a Sony TV (Sony Wega). There has recently been some issue with its operation. i tried connecting with the sony service centre and sony authorized centres for its repair. it has been about 4 days now that i've been following it up with the concerned officials on phone and on every call we are given the assurance that somebody from sony will visit within a couple of hours to help us rectify the problem. however, it is really very disappointing that no-one from Sony has turned up till date. therefore, i request you kindly respond to this issue at the soonest. it will be a big help.                     I surendra own a Xperia S and it is got hanging and auto restarting. I have given it for service and they have upgraded it and gave me still the problem is not rectified and i have given it again in the service center they have veriifed and sent it for replacement. One day i got a call from service center that they asked me should we send it for replacement and it will take 10days to come back, i said ok and they asked me do you need to change the color of handset i said to get me black colour they said ok. After some days they called me to collect handset so i went to service center they gave me a hanset which is in white color and it contains full dust and blackish on the back side of handset i think that is not a new handset and it may be refurbhished. So, i said them i will not agree with this handset and get me a new handset which is balck in color and the staff is trying to bluff me that is new handset.
                    So, please verify and get me new handset in black color and it is already nearly 20days so pls verify and let me know the reply and call me on [protected]. The details of service center is sony ericssion, ameerpet, hyderabad. and the jobsheet number is 9006

                      Sir,
                      I purchased Xperia Sola MT27i (IMEI – [protected]) on 30/05/2012 from Spice Retail Ltd, Haryana with invoice no[protected]. After one and half month the power key button was not functioning but due to my busy schedule I was not able to visit sony service centre. Unfortunately after 2-3 weeks, in rainy season (Mumbai area) my phone got wet but immediately I removed back cover and dried it to my satisfaction. For some time screen was blank but after 3-4 hrs it came back. Still that power key button was not functioning. When I visited Sony service centre (details are given below) to repair my phone, they did some random checking and told me that this phone will not be considered in warranty since its water damaged piece. I tried to explain them that that button was already not working and due to my busy schedule I was not able to visit service centre and in between it got wet. Finally they accepted my request to at least have look in the device, so I surrendered my phone with them on 03/08/2012. After 10 days I got the info that my phone will not be repaired but they will replace it at cost of around Rs 16000 (which 80% of bill amount Rs 19209). It was totally shocking, my phone except the power key button is totally fine (camera button, touch, volume button all are fine) and I was using it with no other problems except this. I don’t want to replace my phone by paying so huge amount. I just need to repair that particular part. But service centre people are forcing on replacement only they don’t even taking care to repair it. It’s totally unfair.

                      Sony manufactured this phone and I think its mistake from your side that if one button stops functioning customer need to pay for entire phones repair/replacement. In other products they replace/repair the malfunctioned part and even amount for such party is less where customers can easily pay. So it’s my request to you kindly take up this issue and resolve it asap.
                      I am waiting for your reply, I already posted my complaint on consumer forum helpline (no -397171) and they suggested to write this letter and wait for 10-12 days and again contact them so they will take further action.

                            I bought a new SONY XPERIA U handset from BABUA PHONE CENTRE, SRI RAM TOWER, LUCKNOW on 25 May 2012 FOR RS. 16,500/-

                            The handset started to have a problem with its camera within a month. It said-“ERROR-CAMERA NOT AVAILABLE”. I live in Dhanbad(Jharkhand). I was advised by the company to do a software repair myself, I did that. Due to that, I had to bear the loss of all data from my phone. The problem was still not solved.
                            So I went to the service centre in Dhanbad(MOBILE WORLD, DHANBAD) on 24 July(SINCE THE PHONE WAS UNDER WARRANTY FOR 12 MONTHS).They repaired the device and gave it back to me, but the problem came back after a day.Then I again went to the service centre on 26 July, this time they deposited my handset and promised me that I would receive a new handset after 10-15 days.
                            After 16 days, on 11 August, I received my handset. The local service representative said the handset I received was a new one, but all his claims were proven to be false when the handset again started to give the same problem within a day o[censored]sage.
                            When I enquired, I came to know from the sony call centre that only certain components of my device had been changed, and the device was not totally replaced, which clearly proved that the local service centre representative had lied to me that the device I received was a new one.
                            Also, during this time period of 16 days, I was not provided any spare handset by sony for my use, due to which I faced a lot of difficulty. When I again went to the service centre stating my problem and asked for a new handset, I was simply asked to deposit my handset again for 16 days, which I refused to as I could not live without my handset again for so many days.
                            Also, I would like to highlight here that the replaced set which I received is even worse than the previous one. Many additional problems have been added in it by the sony engineers, such as:
                            1. ERROR-CAMERA NOT AVAILABLE on opening the camera, this problem still remains unsolved.
                            2. GPS is Not Working anymore.
                            3. The TRANSPARENT LED STRIP has malfunctioned.
                            4. INABILITY TO PLAY ANY VIDEO.
                            5. FREQUENT HANGING AND APPS CRASHING ERRORS.
                            6. FREQUENTLY THE PHONE IS UNABLE TO RECEIVE ANY INCOMING CALL.
                            So, just due to the sheer careless nature of the sony engineers, I have already faced a lot of pain.
                            Also, the local service centre representative hid the facts from me and misguided me by repeatedly telling me that the replaced phone I received was a fresh new piece, which it actually wasn’t, as I later came to know from SONY company.
                            Kindly help me in this situation.
                            Please ask SONY MOBILE to either
                            1. refund my entire amount and take back my handset as soon as possible.
                            OR in the worst case scenario
                            2. give me a new handset as soon as possible hand to hand without me having to deposit the set and waiting for 16 days again.

                            I also purchased a Sony Experia J and am facing serious issues with the phone. It's touch doesn't work at all. with an android touch phone worth Rs 16, 500 what am I supposed to do if the touch doesn't work
                            I just wanted to know if any action was taken in your case, also I would like to know the procedure U followed so that I can get my money back...

                              I had purchased Sony Xperia Sola on 5th jul, and it got a problem on 25th jul, so submitted to Sony service center in pune, they assured me that you will be getting your handset back within 15 working days, and gave me some to followup for the handset, i am continuously on that support center for my handset status, handset status has not changed from 25th jul which is "your handset is currently under repair", support executive don't have any updated status, had spoken to on of the senior executive on 5th aug. and he assured me that i will be getting my handset on 9th aug., i didn't received a handset or a call from sony support center for any changes or delay in handset repairing. on 11th aug. again i had spoken to there 'senior executive and she assured me that you will be getting your handset in between 16th to 18th aug..

                              On 16th aug. when i called sony support center, they still dont have a clear idea when they will be giving my phone back.

                              Please help me in this case.

                              My mobile Xperia u looses network and I become unreachable even tower is
                              full.
                              I went to pune khothrud center and they are close 2nd and 4ethics Saturday.
                              I am pissed off and loosing business due to this.
                              How can a service center be off on Saturday when all working people will
                              visit there.
                              Plz help or I have to publish negative feedback to all public forums or go
                              to consumer forum in the worst case

                                I'm too much unsatisfied with vaio..what a dump laptop.
                                you can't install win7's other version otherwise some software will not be worked...like Bluetooth, battery compatibility...etc.
                                i hate sony's laptops.
                                i hate sony's products.
                                no more fun no more enjoy with sony.
                                it's a very low level laptop but it's have very high cost....sony's product always dumped.

                                  I purchased a Xperia P mobile phone from Sony on 10the July, 2012 and since theen i was experiencing problems withe thee device following which i submitted it to an autheorized service center on 30the July. I was told theat thee phone shall be swapped and returned withein a week but have not received till date. On calling thee company repeatedly i was always given an excuse and an extension of 2 days was asked but it did not help. The company executive Mr. Tilak himself admitted on thee fact of selling a defective device. The company regional head of Mangalore region Ms.Vidya theen said theat theey would replace it withe a new device but till now theere has been no action from thee company. I kindly request you to look into thee matter and help thee customers.

                                    Careful- before buying Sony Vaio laptops. Once if you are asked to visit their service center, then remember that will be your beganing. You have to then visit them every third day.

                                    I bought a laptop recently- 07-april-2012 from Great India Place, Noida, soon a spot was seen on the screen. Called customer care for the same, they suggested to take it to JAYPEE ELECTRONICS , supposed to be their authorized service center. Took for the first time on 05-August-2012 and then on 10-August-2012, though fixed the spot from the screen, laptop's microphone and sound stopped working (which earlier was working fine),.So, took it back on 12-August-2012 to fix the problem on suggestion from customer care (who actually while giving tele-support thought that my laptop doesnt have required hardware ). 12-August-2012 they fixed microphone problem but now left with noisy sound behind the laptop's screen. Guess what the customer support says,, please take it back to Jaypee again.

                                      From past several months i have send the complaint for replacement of my cell ( Sony Erisson Text Pro CK 15 i ) because i was facing problem in the device which was in warranty & from last one year i am talking with your executives & Sr executive but none of the people are responsing me their names are1) Ankush 2) Bharat 2) Dhiraj 3) Rashmi 4) Rahul also i have spoken withb ASM of Karnatak even he is not taking the innecative to solving the issue of the hand set. Each one are replying that you will receive your new hand set in 2-3 days from several month's. As on they are contuning with the same reasons day on day. As this is my last request to you kindly look into the matter & solve the problem elase i have to take legal action for the same by going to consumer court.

                                        Dear Sir,
                                        I hv purchased a Sony Ericsson mobile phone 3 days earlier. I hv paid it INR 7500/- for wi-fi facility & qwerty key pad. But it is not compitible with you tube videos(Internet videos) and also having auto switch off problem & slow processing. what is the use of wi-fi while it is not compitible with Internet VIdeos. I wants my money back or other company mobile phone in the replacement.
