Hi,

I am extremely unhappy with the kind of service provided by Tata photon for Borivali, Mumbai and i hope after reading this mail some of the respected responsible gents from TATA would take this matter seriously and bring a justified solution to my request ASAP.


Details are as follows

3.Tarrif plan : photon plus unlimited 5gb @ 950 3.1 mbps
4.Subcribed Date since: 9th june 11

Problems
As stated above the plan subscribed is for 3.1 mbps speed and unfortunately since 7 months the download speed that has been provided is 20kbps. This was only identified when i personally checked the speed as this plan belongs to my sister who is not aware of it technically.
After my investigation with her for timely payment of bills @ 950 /m and usage that has been always minimum less than 5gb. So, I launched an official complaint thru customer care as mentioned below


Complaint Details
1.Complaint launch date 14th jan 12
2.Complaint tracking no[protected] --- (Gentlemen Mr. Chetan Metri, assured to resolve this issue by 17th jan 9.00pm)


Complaint Status
1. On 15th jan 12 (3.10pm) Mr. shivraj pal [protected] (technical team) attended the call and diagnosed it as network problem and assured to forward this issue to their network team.
2. On 16th jan 12 (1.20 pm) i received a call from network team saying that they cant resolve this issue due to tata's internal coverage problem and it would take another 5 to 6 months.
Upon which i asked the gentlemen to change my plan equivalent to the speed that they have been giving so far and to refund the difference of amount for same since subscription. This as per my opinion is merely a fraud. " if you know that you can give the speed of 3.1mb due to your technical coverage reasons then you must have intimated us that you wont be able to deliver the said service and would have left the choice to us to change the plan to lower speed and cost until you come up with the promised speed or allow us to change the service provider".
Further, i have concluded the conversation by saying that my complain remains intact and unresolved and i expect a call from your senior to refund money for unused service and charge us only for the type of service that has been delivered so far.
3. As on today no one has called and i strongly urge to resolve this subject at the earliest possible to avoid further mental harrasement which may lead further escalations & complications.

Tata Photon Plus — bad service

I have a TaTa Photon Plus connection and since July 2010 their service is PATHETIC. If you call their call center, there are who try to tell you what is wrong with your PC without any knowledge of the subject. Finally after several complaints they sent network engineers to my place and ACKNOWLEDGED THEIR NETWORK WAS AT FAULT>>> SO WHAT HAS BEEN THE RESULT ??? ABSOLUTELY BLODDY NOTHING. I GET 10 to 15 DISCONNECTIONS, PATHETIC SPEEDS AND STILL GET BILLED. I DID AN ANNUAL PLAN, GREAT MISTAKE. SO NO RESULT IN SIGHT, THEY CANT DO ANYTHING, YOU ARE FORCED TO SPEND AND TATA GIVES BIG ABOUT CUSTOMER COMMITMENT. DONT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF TATA INDICOM.

Tata Photon Plus — Bad support

Guys please dont go with following link for buying tata photon plus..They r the worst cheater...these guys r just pathetic..they will give u the tata photon plus and will take ur docs for further processing..but after some days u r photon will be nt working reason..these guys not submitted ur doc to the concern department and hence ur photon plus has been blocked due to the documentation issue..

Tata photon has has the worst customer in this whole universe, I was a victim of getting the device online. My device was never activeated and i am now tired of writing mails to customer [protected]@tatatel.com and calling the customer care...
please tell me who, s help me. my photon data card has been blocked and since last one weak i din't get active . i suggest for other people that please dont go for buying tata photon plus.

Hi,

thanks for your response,
however it is not satisfactory as my issue still remains intact, you are charging me for the service that you are not able to provide and as informed by you that it will take another 5-6 months to fix the coverage/speed issue by setting up a new cell site.

So to conclude this subject you have left no option then stopping the bill payment for JAN 2012 and i am awaiting a compensation for the whole period wherein i have paid extra until now. i trust your feedback and will wait till the issue is resolved however the compensation should be adjusted in the tarrifs of the coming months (for slower speed) till the issue is completely resolved

    i disconnected ny tata photon whiz connection on 2nd dec ,2011. i have cleared all my bill dues and they have taken my request for disconnection and after 20 days their executive called and what is the reason for disconnection and asked do you want permanent disconnection and i said yes.
    on 18 th jan,2012 they generated my bill even after disconnection this is really harrasing me

      Respected Sir/ Madam,
      I am Monalisa Ashok Shinde using internet by Tata Photon Whiz Diler.
      Now I recharged my sim [protected] for Rs.199/- for accessing home zone plan. Then I received a sms that recharge is successful. But still when i access internet balance is reduced from my main balance!!!

      Since I have a Desktop computer, Inever change the position. I already used Home zone at same place & I have recharged by same shop then why this happened??

      Please inform me as early as possible!!

      TATA Indicom — Why main balance is reduces if I am using home zone in home zone only

      Well, I would like to comment on the above situation...If Monalisa is using a desktop, so she will not change the location I assume...Then another case arising is that Tata is using Tie-up network of other network provider's...and Tata is switching Monalisa's network to that and charging her...This particular problem has happened to me...Tata DOCOMO put my mobile to 'Idea' network even they have Docomo network and charged me like anything...

Local dealer said broad band speed up to 3.1mbps. i working speed 160kbps to 180kbps. i am not satisfied. so, i returned the device to local dealer on date: 09/01/2012. Still not disconnected in my postpaid connection. I already said, please immediate disconnect my postpaid connection and refund my device amount. I had already paid Rs.1100/-. So.             Hello,
            I recently bought a TATA PHOTON plus connection on 17th December 2011. The network claims a speed o[censored]pto 3.1 MBPS download speed, But I have been getting a speed of around 10 -15 KBPS. I had filed a complaint against it on around 25th December (reference no.[protected]. I got a mail from TATA TELESERVICES Limited ensuring me that the complaint will be resolved by 27th of December. An engineer from TATA PHOTON visited me and checked my connection. He told me that the problem is with the network and that he would forward my complain to the network team. I was informed that the network will be fine after 29th of December. The problem persisted even after 29th of December. I kept calling the customer care and they kept me waiting saying that i would get a call next day from the network team. Finally they did call on 14th of January telling me that the network problem will persist till 16th of February. I was shocked to find that i have received an email from tata telecervices limited saying that my complaint has been closed as it has been successfully solved. Unfortunately I had paid for two months in advance, so i decided to ask for a refund from the Company through the customer care. They denied it as if Its their money! My mobile phone network TATA DOCOMO provides a comparable speed at Rs 63 per month, while the TATA Photon charges me at the rate of Rs 950 per month. Now I wonder why they should deny the refund when they accept that I am being provided with poor speed. They may not even resolve the issue by 16th feb and still ask me to pay the huge amount of bills. The company advertises "You are what you do with your time ... get speed get time". And with this connection, I am mostly struggling with the slow internet speed or calling the customer care and now writing this complaint. What i really got was frustration and headache. Those who are planning on buying this connection please ensure that you get a good speed in your area before opting for this connection.

              I BOUGHT A LAPTOP FROM KOLKATA IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER. ON THAT VERY SHOP A TATA PHOTON SALESMAN OFFERED MYSELF A USB CONNECTION OF TATA PHOTON PLUS WITH 2 MONTHS FREE ACCESS AND LESS PRICE AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE. AFTER 2 MONTHS USE I WAS GOING TO RECHARGE THE CONNECTION AS PER THE SALESMAN PROCEDURE. BUT I KNOW THAT MY CONNECTION WAS A POSTPAID ONE. FROM THAT DAY I DID NOT USE THE CONNECTION . BUT RECENTLY TATA CUSTOMER CARE SERVICE CALL ME AND SAY THAT I HAVE A LARGE AMOUNT DUE REGARDING THIS CONNECTION. I SAY THEM THAT NO BILL WAS SEND AND I DID NOT RECEIVED ANY BILL . THEN I SAY THAT I WOULD LIKE TO DEACTIVATE MY PLAN. BUT THE RESPONSE IS THAT AFTER CLEARING THE DUE BILL IT WILL BE DEACTIVATED. SO WHAT CAN I DO?

              usb internet — huge bill

              i was shocked ,when i got a bill of around 2500 .mearly by using 40-50 hrs in a month .in my plan i was told that i will get 30 hrs free in one month and after that 25 paisa per minute

              photon plus — internet not working

              i had an old tata indicom internet connction .the account no.was[protected]. i have surrendered the connection a month back as i bought photon plus. since yesterday the internet is not working. i get 'error 678 message -the remote computer did not respond'.

              i do not have the account no.for photon plus .i hae not received first bill yet.

              who should i write to? i do not get proper replies from your bpo.

              please tell me the reason why it is not working .it was working fine till now.

                I currently have the following plan: Photon Plus Power Sur[censored]nlimited



                This month, I was sent a bill which was astronomically and abnormally large. This surprised me as I was assured by your sales team as well as by a mail later that the plan I had opted for was an unlimited plan and there would be no extra charges in case I crossed the limit of 10 GB. The only change in this case would be that the connection would change to a dial-up one.





                When the bill arrived, I sent back a mail on 9th January 2012, seeking clarification for the erroneous bill (the conversation is provided in the mail trail below). Here, it is also important to point out that the charges for usage was shown to be the correct amount. The extra amount was shown as a part of the “discounts and other charges” category.



                Following my mail, a representative of the company called up my husband on the 9th and told him that the charge was a churning fee, which was generally applied when an account is discontinued by a user and then asked to be restarted again. I had never ever given a request to stop or even pause my connection and have in fact been using the connection every day since July 2011 and have also been receiving and paying my bills every month. So how can this so-called “churning fee” be attributed to my account?



                The representative then promised to look into the problem and assured us that he would raise a compliant for the issue. The next day, when I tried to log into my account, I could noty connect. Since I work from home, this created a huge problem for me. I called up the customer care department and was informed that my connection was blocked as I had crossed my “credit limit”. Please note: this was the beginning of a new month and though the connection was working fine on the 9th, the connection was cancelled on the 10th, right after the phone call. How could my credit limit be crossed in a single day and that too in the beginning of a fresh month? It is not even that my bill payment date had been missed and as a result of that my connection was stopped.



                All this was done, without even informing me or even sending me a mail indicating that I had crossed my credit limit. Anyways, I called yup the customer care department again and was assured that my compliant was lodged and that someone would call me up to sort out the issue in the next 24 hours. Nothing happened, no body called.



                In the mean time, I called up the Nodal officer department and was given the same assurance. The person handling my call, restarted the connection again after profuse apologies and promised to look into the bill abnormalities by 3 P.M. of 11th January 2012. It is the 12th today and even then no body has called or even mailed me. Today again, I cannot connect to my account as the connection has again been disconnected.



                I would like to know exactly why this is happening and why should I be made to go through such a harassment? There is not the slightest professional etiquette from the Tata Indicom authorities, which is such a pity as we definitely expect nothing but the best from any organization even remotely connected to the ideologies and principles of Mr. Ratan Tata. I am being made to suffer through no fault of mine and my profession is also suffering because of this.



                Please try and solve this problem as soon as possible or else let me know in case I should terminate the connection.

                Tata Photon+ — ABNORMAL BILLING

                Sir,
                I had been using tata photon+ connection for almost 1 year. Needless to say that I's very much satisfied with their service and din't experince any kind of billing related problems. Due to relocation(to other city where Photon + service is not available), I had to surrender this connection on 19.09.2010. After surrendering the connection when I got the final bill, there were lot of discrepancies in the bill. I asked them for an itemized bill,but they were keep on delaying the process of sending itemized bill. Finally after requesting for near about 15 days, I got the itemized bill but It's not understandable to me. Even the customer care executives were not taking the responsibilities for making me understand the bill.
                Every month, I used to get an SMS message from tata indicom regarding the bill-amount and on that month also I got a message from their site, in which the bill amount was totally different from my final billing amount. So, as customer care executive was unable to help me and with their suggestion, I went to near-by tata indicom exclusive store and told them about my problem. They lodged a docket against my complain(complain no:[protected] and told me that I'll get a call from their side which will solve my problem and explain everything.                   I am purchase Tata Photon plus broadband Number is [protected] internet on 5th jan 2012 tariff plan is 300MB free and extra 1 rs /MB rental is 250 per month. I check my usage bill on 10th jan 2011 say that 156 extra payment without rental usage is 456 MB but I can not use more than one hour not download any. Then my total bill payment on 10 jan 2011 is 400 Rs including rental. They cannot provide usage details. I can also use the reliance broad band surf more hours monthly and only billed rental 333 only no other charges.

                      I am using Tata Photon Whiz having No [protected] for the past one year. The speed of Internet is very low since the beginning day. When contacted they said that the Kolar is going to get 3G connection then the problem eases. But even after Kolar is upgraded to 3G the speed of the internet is as slow now as in the beginning. I made a complaint on 30.12.2011 vide complaint no 404178, but it is not resolved yet. Even i was not at all contacted over phone nor e-mail.

                            I have taken a new Tata Docomo Photon Plus Post-Paid subscription from a DSA in Bangalore. DSA gave me the card but i have been chasing the them for past 5 days for activation of the same. My request has fallen to deaf ears. More over Tata Docomo call center do not entertain any complaints without the customer proton number. Since my number is not activated I cannot reach out to their customer care office. Pls advise how i can lodge a complaint against the DSA Kash Marketings and Tata Docomo in this case.

                            The same with me . My brother in law Debraj Chowdhury bought the postpaid connection a 2 months back with Tata Docomo Photon Number [protected] . After a day or two they deactivated the connection without any specific reason showing an alibi that the Document picture was not clear enough .They gave me a new connection number [protected] after giving a new copy of the same document and then after a day or two the connection was deactivated again . On 20th July I gave them a copy of his passport with clear picture and they gave me an assurance of sooner activation . Till date it is in the process, and I the prospect of it seems to be in limbo. I bought the connection in calcutta only .Please let me know how to get out of this problem .

When i was about to buy the PHOTON + they assured that the speed will come up to 3.1 MBPS, but now i am not at all getting atleast 200Kbps. I see the speed only 20 - 30 Kbps.                                   Issue- iam your corporate customer who’s using your tata photon+ services from last couple of years and whenever I called up to your customer care dept. those executives or mangers are not at all supportive even they don’t know how to talk and retain the customers even they don’t know about the process flow or company hierarchy recent incident today I called up to customer care with the problem of slow speed the executive who took my call he was yoning on the call and not understand my issue when I asked him that do I get any resolution he straight away said we raised a complaint and forwarding to the relevant dept. you got a call from our technical end tomorrow today is Sunday and our technical dept is on off when I asked him can you please transfer my call to any superior he said sorry sir I can’t when I force him to do he transferred my call to Mr.Athar he is Floor supervisor in the inbound process even Mr .Athar is not at all supportive he highlight the same thing again that on Sunday we are closed only me and my team is working on Sunday if these types of guys don’t know how to fulfill the customer requirement and don’t have any adequate to talk then I don’t thing they deserve to be a floor supervisor or executive in your company they should learn about the company process flow afterwards they should be on floor Mr.Gulati iam highlighting these thing because iam also in the same Field and took your connections in BULK by the name of jade services I think we should surrender all the connection and contact some other company and I want you to take some serious action on the same so that these types of issue won’t arise in future

                                      I am using Tata Photon Plus since its inception first in Jan 2009 in Jammu. I was posted in jammu and have taken a new connection and the introductory plan was Rs. 1500/- a month for unlimited usage. I was transferred to Rajsthan in Jun 2011. When I approached to Tata Photon Office in Jammu for surrendering the device, they advised me that since the device is roaming free and you can use it anywhere. When I reached Jaipur, I had faced various issues relating to its speed. When contacted customer care, they didnt even bothered to listen my problems. They said since the Number is from J&K State, we can not provide you engineer. For almost 20 days I had problems with customer care and finally they paid a engineer visit.

                                      Now again I am facing the same issue. But the customer care has clearly denied to pay me any engineer visit. When asked further course of action, they said to transfer this number from J&K to Rajsthan circle for further resolution. When enquired about the procedure, they told me submit my ID Proof, Address Proof and other documents which I submitted while taking connection for which I denied.

                                      Sir, I want to clear one thing. When I have submitted my complete papers once, why should i submit my ID Proof time and again within the same network. Isnt it a security hazard ? What if my ID Proof is misused. Why dont they keep a record of IDs. Its okey to submit the Address proof since the address changed but the individual is still the same. How can they ask for the ID Proof again and again without an assurance that the ID Proof will not be misused ??

                                      Another point is that the committed speed of Tata Photon is 3.1mbps whereas I usually get the speed of 268-350 kpbs. Please think it once again paying Rs. 1500/- a month, almost Rs. 50/- per day for internet that too at such a low speed, is not justified in anyway. When I approached customer care they said that the least speed that covers the plan is 256 kbps. If you are getting the speed of 256kbps +, that is your good luck.

                                      Sir, I want to file a suit against Tata Photon. Pls guide me what should I do ?

                                        This is with respect to the Tata Photon Plus Internet services providers' failed SLA and zero support to customers applying for their "superfast" Tata Photon Plus services.

                                        here's a brief of the situation:
                                        1. I submitted an online application, filling all the details, and paying Rs.1500 with respect to a new "Tata Photon Plus" Internet USB on 9th December 2011, on Tata Indicom's website: http://www.ichoose.in/etrade/wireless-internet.jsp.
                                        2. I got an email (attached) acknowledging the successful payment, and an Application number (ET[protected]
                                        3. It was also mentioned that my Tata Photon Plus would arrive within 3 working days (or lesser) in both the product page as well as in the order tracking page (attached),
                                        4. I decided to wait for a week, giving the service provider some time. But during that time, and even till now, there has been no communication from them.
                                        5. Last saturday, exactly 7 days after my application, i called the bangalore branch of their customer service, and spoke to Mr. Anand ([protected]). Who promised that it would be handled ("within an hour") were his exact words, but no response from him.


                                        And now, my application fee of Rs. 1500 is stuck with Tata Indicom, and I dont have the service I requested for. And there is no response from any one.

                                        Tata indicom - photon plus — device not delivered yet from last 1 week

                                        I have a complaint against Tata Indicom - photon plus company. I had a made a payement of Rs. 3000 for buying the device. I was informed by the exectuive from the company Mr. Manoj Sarang (executive code: MHA016A42476) that the device would be delivered at my door step on saturday thye 28th August 2010. since than i have been waiting nobody has ever come to deliver the device to me. and forget that i complain at thei customer care number nobody looks into your problem nobody is helping me to gwet the device i have a application number as:3169127and my account number is :[protected]. i want either my Rs.3000 back or i want the device today itself.
                                        I've been following it up with your customer care.Each email reply takes atleast 24 hours, aand i get the same mail from a new name of your customer care team, asking for the same information(Application number), that i've probably given thrice, in bold, huge font so people are able to see it, and they dont seem to understand. It is going to be 2 weeks since i applied, assuming it would be delivered within 3 days, when i needed it. I think I've had enough of "bearing with you in the interim". I'd like my money back. TODAY.
                                        The complaint was supposed to be resolved today at 3:00 p.m. according to your declaration above. I've not got a call or an email from an actual person, telling me what they're doing. I get a mail that it will be done in 24 hours! what nonsense is this?! I would like my money to be refunded ASAP. I DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH YOUR FAKE SERVICE.

                                        This is the last straw.
