Despite being a loyal and frequent user with 1200+ trips taken on a personal account ([protected]) and being a corporate profile holder on Uber, the company decided to deactivate my account (first noticed on 3rd June 2022).
Before this, I'd booked a ride with Uber on 31st May 2022, during which the driver started the trip without my confirmation by just asking for my contact no. in the in-app chat feature. When I protested against this and threatened to raise a complaint if he didn't call me back to explain why he did so, he made excuses to evade. I raised this issue using the 'Help' section of the app and was assured I would get my money back. Meanwhile, the driver completed the trip without even picking me leading to an INR 151.24 charge on my account, which I had to pay later to book another ride. After multiple complaints and intensive follow-up, Uber refunded me on 1st June 2022. However, when I tried booking the next ride on 3rd June, I couldn't because I had logged out, and my account was deactivated.

Since that day, I've been trying to raise a complaint regarding this with Uber via mail. Despite so many days of correspondence (10+ emails exchanged), Uber gave a standard response and could never explain why this action was taken. Moreover, every time I tried to follow up on their previous reply in the same thread, some other executive would be assigned who would then reply with their default responses and not understand the context. During this while, I haven't been able to use Uber at all, leading to the highest inconvenience for me in my work life as my corporate profile linked to my account allowed me seamless work travel.

After all this harassment, I decided to stop pursuing this and focus on getting a solution as I have to use Uber for work. I had to buy a new mobile number and register a new email address to create a new account ([protected]) with Uber. Again, when I tried adding my payment modes to Uber, it didn't allow me to book a ride even with the new account. On raising this issue, the Uber team gave the same standard response that duplicate accounts for the same user are not allowed and that they can't disclose details about the previous deactivation either. Furthermore, they have blocked my device completely, inhibiting me from using the service.

Apart from the apparent lapse in communication, it's unreasonable for such service providers to ask for trust from the customer regarding every detail (payments, addresses, location, personal information, etc.) while not having the basic courtesy even to explain why they terminated my services and caused so much harassment over the past two weeks.

    My account on Uber is registered with same mobile number and name only.

    I had booked UBER ride @ 4:05 AM from Sarai Rohilla Railway Delhi station to Kilokari- Delhi on 13th June 2022. While booking the ride amount of trip was shown was INR 370. At first it was showing 2 mins waiting and after that consecutively 2 rides were cancelled by drivers itself post asking drop location, probably they were not interested to go on said location. Finally ride came @ 4:35 AM and due to which waiting time was 30 mins along with my family members and 1 infant outside railway station.

    We took ride with making no changes in the entire process as 2 cabs changes happened by its own and ride started @ 4:35 AM.

    Moreover while payment @ drop location billing amount came out to be INR 1252 for travel distance of less than 18 km. Unable to understand that how come a ride booked @ INR 371 and final billing is INR 1252.

    How come uber cab afford to make customer harassment with such unprofessional behavior?

    Also how come 18 Km distance can be charged with INR 1252

    I need immediate reversal of excess charges of INR 881.

    Looking forward for positive revert from esteemed organization like Uber.

      Pending charge showing in app after I paid cash to driver

      I had travelled from Delhi T2 airport to Narmada apartment in Baba Kharak Singh marg area in delhi on 4th july 2022. I had made full payment right after the trip ended at 9:41 AM and I paid the entire amount of rupees 391 via Paytm at 9:42 AM. The driver has marked incomplete payment and now it shows that there is remaining payment of INR 300 on the Uber app. I have not been able to take any ride after that because I will need to pay extra...

      I booked a Uber long time back about more than 2 years ago, made payment online. Still shows outstanding. Again made the same payment twice after that in Cash bit still shows outstanding. I have stopped using Uber sice then and use Ola now.

        Complaint details - Sir, we respect your facility which your providing the general public but there is mischief content regarding your uber driver
        He knowingly cancelled our booking so that he can claim the cancellation prize ...we already payed the amount through Google pay...even though he asked cash to be paid...we request you to take a strict action on the driver and make us provide with our refund with the amount of ₹1500 within time limit
        Otherwise we will go further with legal action

          I have already paid the driver right after he dropped and told me to pay to his phonele number rupees 134. And i make the payment. Now when I opened uber for my next ride it's asking me to pay for the trip with sum of 164 something.
          The driver has to charged for this manipulation.

            I drive so sincerely but my wallet gone in negative.
            I collect 198 for a ride but you deduct 148 rs. from my wallet and this type of things happen many time with me.
            Why these types of things happen to me.

              Respected sir I have been writing you this notification with regards to complain on Uber service and drivers behaviour
              We want to bring it to your attention that we had boarded and an uber
              But the driver had receives to come to the pickup point instead we had to walk to the car to get the Uber service
              When we boarded the car the Uber driver had Kept are giving with us about the pickup point and said that the customer has to walk to get the car
              We have attached the screenshot please have a look

                I am a regular customer o[censored]ber India. Recently I have been observing that Uber is charging some additional amount as 'Previous unpaid amount' for my recent 3 trips. Each and every time I had paid that additional amount even knowing that its wrongly claimed by Uber. But again yesterday (08.06.2022) they claimed INR 13.30 as unpaid amount. The details are as below:

                24.05.2022: Actual ride amount INR 361/- (paid by cash), after that, it showed an amount of INR 45.11 as unpaid amount, which I paid by Credit Card on the same day.

                08.06.2022: Actual ride amount 110/- (paid by cash), after completing the ride it showed an amount of INR 13.79 as unpaid again, which I have paid again by Credit Card on the same day.

                08.06.2022: Actual ride amount INR 106/- (paid by cash). But after completing the ride it's showing again an amount of INR 13.30 as unpaid.

                Why Uber is cheating the customers in this way? Is it a new strategy to earn more in some wrong way as Uber is already used to do?

                I want all my extra paid amount back to me immediately, otherwise I will escalate the issue further.

                  Please take an action against the auto DL 1R N4759. I booked the auto, he accepted it. I got into the auto and told him the OTP. He said he was having some trouble entering the OTP and then he cancelled it, while I was sitting in the auto. He refused to go despite me saying that I will pay cash to him. Please look into this. I am thoroughly disappointed

                    On 7th June I took uber from Aerocity, he Marriott to my house. in Aerocity the driver came to reception and I boarded immediately. at my drop off, my house I paid him 260 for a bill of 252. after he left, he wrote that I paid only 100 rupees and now my uper app shows 152 pending payment. this is very bad on part of the driver. he paid a late fee because he came late to me, after entering Aerocity, he was already in atrocity when he got my ride request, which he wanted me to pay. I didn't pay 30 delay fee because I was not the reason for his delay. I paid inside the cab n he drove off. I have CCTV footage of my gate but it doesn't show me paying the full amount. how do I get rid of an undue amount showing in my app. I'll not use uber. is the driver's wrong statement counted? who can let a passenger get off without receiving the money?

                      Today Evening the Driver of Taxi No. GJ24X0727 named Jitendra came to our pick up point, waved his hand stating that he is canceling the trip and left in the moving car without even stopping.

                      We were shocked at the behaviour of the driver. Not stopping at the pick up point and driving away is bringing disgrace to the Company.

                      For above aborted trip (not undertaken by driver) you have charged me some amount.

                      I request you to withdraw the claim made and seek an explanation on why the driver did not stop at pick up point and talk.

                      Please go through my track record and act. This has bee the first humiliating experience and wissh it does not happen again.

                        Of late it is becoming very difficult to get response from Uber auto as well as cab drivers for rides booked through Uber app though the drivers are available nearby. It amounts to illtreating senior citizens like us. What is the use of having a company which does not respond to requests for ride, though the drivers are available within the vicinity as per the map

                          On 4/6/2022, I took a trip from DPS Ruby Park High school at shanti pally Naskarhat, East kolkata twp, Kolkata - 700107 to 183, lake east, 6th Road, Santoshpur, Kolkata - 700075 at 11:14am. After the trip was completed the payment value was not shown in the drivers app nor in my app. Although, I paid the driver rupees 150. But still now it is showing unpaid and is being added to the next trip.This is highly inconvenient. PLEASE LOOK INTO THE MATTER AT THE EARLIEST.

                            It is with respect to the issues I am often facing with Uber India that they are charging me Rs 50 cancellation fee regularly even though the driver himself is canceling the ride and why should I pay for them. It's beyond my patience level now I feel cheated.

                                Company levied extra toll charges which they are not reverting. Driver asked me to pay toll charges. I confirmed with him but he mentioned as per policy I need to pay and in middle of highway I couldn’t argue with him. But when I saw invoice later I got to know that it is there in invoice as well. Now company is saying that I shouldn’t have paid it and now they can’t revert it. Company is not ready to enquire with the driver. They should’ve educated their drivers. This is the case of fraud. This has happened many times. I always get the invoice higher than the fare I saw at the time of booking. Please look into it.

                                  I booked a auto numbered 8606 at last. His name was Samay. When I needed to pay him, he had no change. So I asked him to come with me to my shop inside the MGF mega city mall but he denied saying police will take my auto away and he asked me to keep something for security so I kept my mobile. And when I returned back with the change he was not there and neither he is answering my call.
