Don’s shop at Viveks, you will end up paying more sans service guarantee
We bought Samsung AC 1.5 T from Anna Nagar Viveks showroom in May 2009 thinking that after sales service would be excellent in Viveks. People who came to install the Window AC were not trained as was evident when they drove all screws using hammer and did the work unprofessionally. They promised to come and check the AC one in three months, which they never do. When we shifted to another nearby house in April 2011, we realised that they fixed the AC horizontally, making the water stagnant inside the AC and corroded the inner parts. When we bought the AC the sales person told us single booster premier stabilizer would be more than sufficient to withstand the power fluctuation. Last month, our compressor conked off and Samsung came and replaced it and charged us Rs 2000 for gas filling. The engineer told us we should have used double booster to tackle power fluctuation instead of single one, and that is the reason why the compressor gone faulty. Had Viveks sales person advised us correctly, we would have saved this money and also would have paid less for double booster stabilizer which cost less then. Yesterday ( May 10, 2011), when I visited the Viveks’ showroom in Anna Nagar Viveks, the gentlemen in the reception asked me to bring the single booster Premier stabilizer and promised to exchange it with the new double booster Premier stabilizer and informed me that the balance money only I should pay[protected]. He did not even ask when the purchase was made. When I went back to viveks Anna Nagar immediately taking the stabilizer, then they were saying that it's two years old, they cannot exchange it. It was horrible. I came all the way from home just because Viveks’ staff promised to change it. I did not have any option but to opt for the new double booster AC stabilizer, which they said would cost Rs 4300. I agreed to pay and asked for the new stabilizer. Then came the reply that they did not have stock and I should come back next day to collect it. I lost my cool and immediately left the Viveks’ showroom with the old stabilizer. I went to nearby the NEXT showroom in Anna Nagar from where we bought Samsung automatic washing machine and Samsung double door fridge last year after realising that prices in viveks are little higher. Even all LCD and LED TVs cost higher compared to other showrooms.I got Syscom double booster 4KVA for Just Rs 3600. I also managed to sell my old stabilzer for Rs 500. Thank god I did not buy stabilizer in Viveks. Had they got the stock yesterday, I would have bought the stabilizer for Rs 4300! I am happy that I saved more than 1200/ and also got a lesson that I should never shop at Viveks.

Viveks — Delivery delay

Bought on 2 nd Janaury Godrej regirator. When called up no response and till 9 Jan its not delivered!
I am next to you ! i bought Voltas A/c on May/07/2011 and it is not yet delivered to me, also no proper response from the shop. it been one week now.. :( depressed with their service!
I Agree Never shop at Viveks, Please. Worst Service! If you call NO Response ... LATE LATE delivery ... NO promise words from them... so many worst service from Viveks .

Viveks — Delay for the installation

I purchased Air conditionor in Viveks on 07 May 2011. they promised to install on 09th May 2011. but till(13 May 2011) now no response from Viveks. Daliy i made a call to them. but they are not properly responsed me.
I am really disappointed with them.
I bought on 25th May-2012 Panasonic AC 1 Ton
when called up no response till[protected] its not deliver the product to my home. kindly take action...
Kindly do not purchase at Viveks. I purchased a Chimeny last week, when I purchase they said I[censored] use your credit card 0% Interest. He dint mentioned any thing about the processing fee. After I swiped my card only I came to know that there was some processing fee. All the employees making some promises and try to selling the product.
yes i should have seen this comments before i by a AC. there service is worst they dont keep there promise and they are cheats. please friends never by any product from Viveks and you will suffer. i have planned to make consumer complaint on them.
there service is worst they don't do there service before 11 am and after 6 pm we have to be there in there convience time and they respond properly they are best cheaters. friends please don't by any of product form viveks and i have made a consumer complaint and i wil get solution for that. please raise a complaint when ever recive the problem.
Yes it is real vivek & co should be closed they are very worst in sales & and after sales services
I got one of the worst customer services experiences with Viveks. I ordered for a fridge and a washing machine totaling to around Rs. 1 lakh from Viveks Anna Nagar Branch with the commitment from to deliver the items before Diwali. Their price was higher than the price quoted by other dealers, still I placed the order with Viveks because of the sales person who took special approval from his manager to bring the price close to other dealers and with the commitment to deliver the items before Diwali. They had the fridge on display but the washing machine was only shown on catalogue. I placed the order as I didn’t want to waste time behind this. I understood that their commitment is valid only till the order is placed, after the payment, the treatment totally changed and the commitments were not maintained. We have to call and chase them on daily basis. They will commit that the items will be delivered on the same day, but the items will not arrive. Most of the time the sales person will not be available. We have to call at least ten times to catch hold of a sales person, to whom we have to explain the whole story, who will say he will call in 10 min, but there won’t be any call. We have to call and chase again. We have to wait the whole day waiting for the delivery and waste the days. I work in Dubai and have come to India for a short vacation. Each and every day is precious for me and major portion of my vacation is spoiled behind this supposed to be simple and straight forward purchase. After a weeks struggle fridge was delivered but we are still waiting for the delivery of the washing machine. I don’t know when they will deliver this item. If you have plenty of time to waste waiting for delivery and want to experience a bad customer service.

Till now i didn't get any response from the Viveks and from the Big TV operators. Its been 6 months since i purchased..,

For past two months the product not working we have complained viveks service centre and called them also personally still we didnt get any recovery for our problem.poor service we have ever seen in the showrooms we have seen till now.we kindly request to neccessary action immediately otherwise take away your product by refunding my full cash back.otherwise we have to go for legal services which will be affecting your brand name

        I have purchased a LG washing machine from Viveks Indiranagar on 5.11.10. A gift coupon for Big TV Network connection was issued on purchase of the said equipment.

        Unfortunately, I am struggling since one month to get the Big TV connection. I am not getting any proper response neither from Viveks nor from Reliance Big TV.

        I also purchased at viveks annanagar when i tried to call the particular no It always switched off
        I would think twice before going to Viveks to purchase any product. Their customer service exists till they have received money for the purchased goods in the account. Horrible shopping experience at Viveks. If any of you are thinking of purchasing from Viveks. Would suggest you reconsider your decision.

          I brought an LG colour TV from VIVEKS, T.Nagar branch.i paid money and they told its door delivery.

          they delivered the TV next day, the packed box is an damaged,no books related to TV operation and service warranty report.

          i called twice the sales people they didnt respond properly and booked service complaint to LG.

          So people who buying any appliance from any branches of VIVEKS, chennai please get confirmation about your delivering product, they may cheat by send the displayed one with damaged box what i got.

            I recently faced a problem with Viveks Store, Chennai. I have ordered for LG Split AC 3star on 31st March'10 and product delivered only on April 4th 2010 in my home. Also they said the installation will be done on 5th April, where i have taken leave and waited for the technician, he never turned-up that day.

            I took leave on 6th April 2010 and after lot of follow-ups the technician came late evening (after 6.30 p.m) and finished his installation of Split AC by 10 p.m. The AC didn't work and he said we have got only economy stabilizer and we need to buy Double Booster to feel the AC.

            Then there is no follow-ups from the technician or from Viveks whether the product is working fine. Yesterday (8th April) i have installed Double Booster on my own and then the AC didn't work because the Installation from VIVEKS team was not properly done and the compressor didn't work. Even we followed many times they didn't attend the fault immediately.

            * To install a AC, why there is lot of confusion and Delay?
            * There is no Team Co-ordination between them.
            * Every time if we have to convey anything to the technician we have to undergo a customer care number where we have to wait for so long time in 'Q'.
            * Since the Customer Care people is also not the direct employee of VIVEKS they don't know what to answer for our fault and it takes time to reach the message to proper person.
            * Buying AC is no more Luxury now, it is coz of summer and my 6 months kid suffering from Sun's heat.

            * I personally feel that there is no Customer Care where i have taken 2 days of leave and they don't feel the urgency and importance of retaining the customer.
            * If we have delayed in paying for the product would they have encouraged us? but i have got the product very late and still the installation is not complete after 9 days billing.
            * Only when people bill they are behind us and once after billing we are behind them.

            The greatest comedy was from VIVEKS;
            They had sent a message that i will get a technician named Ezhilarasan on 6th Morning 9.30 am, but no one turned up.

            Then i got consecutive messages that he will come at 2 p.m and by 4 p.m i am getting a message that he will come by 2 p.m. How can it be possible when i get a message by 4 p.m that a person will come at 2 p.m (2 hrs before) where no one turned up by that time.

            But i only got Karuppian as a Technician late evening, but not Ezhilarasan. Why there is so many Wrong Info sent to the your customers?

            Is it the way should a customer been treated? I FEEL THERE IS NO CUSTOMER CARE IN VIVEKS STORE, CHENNAI.

              I hvae entered in to AMC with you for my Samsung 1.5T AC unit.

              AMC inv.no.111/ac/ch/000660 dtd 11/2/2010.

              Before entering in to AMC the AC unit was working normal.Your people suggested to go for fixing up of the Outdoor unit in Angle instead of Keeping it Laft. As per their suggestion i accepted and paid Rs. 750/- extra for fixing up.we were out of station for 10days after this.

              After that the cooling effect is very low. regarding this i booked a complaint in your customer care, ref.no283889 dtd15/3/2010.

              But there is no resposnse up to this time, i called 4 times to your customer care, and booked in net , i tried to (chitra kala) customer associate she never picked the phone. then i tried to level 2 Mr. Arul -Manager marketting his number always engaged.

              As a customer i am helpless. pl depute your person atlease at this time once, after that i will never turn back to viveks even fof AMC service

                I bought a LCD TV Sansui costing roughly 20000/- and it has been delivered today. This has been properly installed by Mr.Ashok Kumar of Sansui whose service was very good. I gave a tip of 50/- on my own to the person who delivered it from Saidapet depot to my residence at Besant Nagar, but one Mr.Vijay Kumar of Mylapore branch spoke to me over telephone and insisted on a delivery charge of 150/- for which there is no receipt. When I wanted an explanation, he repeatedly said that ( no doubt very politely) that it is company's policy and I have to pay the amount. I would like to know your company's policy on delivering such costly electronic goods. If the policy is to deliver free of cost, please arrange to send me a cheque for 150.00.


                This is not a complaint against Mr.Vijay Kumar.

                  I have a job number pending with you, it is, 239007, it was booked on Friday, the 17th and customer care said it would be fixed in 48 hrs and I can expect the technician on Sunday. I don't understand what he meant by 48 hrs, it is Wednesday and nobody has turned up or bothered to call from the customer care. Is this what you call as "Customer Care"? What does this mean in your language? Infact I am paying for all the services and why the hell some don't work? Why should such people be given a job when there are thousands, professional people jobless on the streets?
                  Are there any supervisors or managers who control such people? or the service centre is in the hands of such ? or even the managers / supervisors are like these unprofessional ?

                  I spoke to Ranjith Kumar, Kanakaraj, Mercy and they all said the technician will be arriving before 8pm on 7/22 and this has not happened. Now, how many more days do I have to wait for a service? Don't you beg for customers to sell a product? and when it comes to service are you such an unprofessional? I spoke to Irfan finally and he just disconnected the call, when he knew the technician won't be attending this call. Do you have any valid reason for this behaviour? Are the customer centre guys not trained to handle a customer?

                  I got the numbers of the supervisor, Velmurugan,[protected], I hope he is the supervisor and this being his number. He just said the technician will be attending today after which his mobile was switched off!

                  I got the service manager's number, [protected], the number of Jimmy George. I guess he is the manager with this number, he never bothered to pick up. If the managers and supervisors are this way what more can we quote on the people down the line.

                  The service Vivek's offer has degraded to such an extent it stinks which has never happened in the previous years. They don't understand the mud under their feet has began to erode!

                  Are there any professionals left in Vivek who can respond to this?

                  Samsung A/C — Service

                  I bought 1.5 ton a/c from samsung world, New Delhi in 2003 till today it got break down 10 times
                  I shifted to chennai and again it break down and service centers are asking 9000 for the repair
                  They need this amout in cash
                  When I contacted samsung support center they replied as they can't do any thing
                  I think I bought system with samsung not with the third party service center
                  If any one know the solution pls let me know
                  I bought 1.5 tn window ac in delhi from yusuf sarai in last summer. I was told that some body will visit for the service in next summer, but no body visited and we are still waiting for our a/c to get serviced so we can start it.

                  They are useless altogether. least bothered to answer a phone call. Time will teach them a good lesson. Lets stop purchasing from all these jerks who feel they are god. Even their father's father have arrived in the market.

                  Lets promote shops like croma, Big bazzar. etc. We have have a real custer care experience there.

                  I am facing the same problem here. Call after call to the customer care. Despite booking a slot for repairing my A/C, these guys never bother to come on time. These guys are more interested in you going for an AMC with this kind of a service in place. They expect you to sit at home and wait for them all day. They never bother to return your calls too. My job id is 354511.

                    I Purchased an A/C from Vivek & Co on 21/04/2009. The company guy (Called Technician)had installed the A/C in my house . You can find the installation in the picture. After installation there was a power trip for few times, It took 30 mins to get the room cool. We were not aware that the A/C should be fixed 2 ft away from the wall. After 20 days the A/C noise level increased and disturbed the sleep, so reported to Vivek Service Centre & Show room, they came and checked after many calls and many complaints. Also visited the show room (T.Nagar, Chennai).They said that their senior engineer will visit the site and give the report. But after 10 to 12 days they visited and said that the A/C cant be fixed in my house due to unavailability of the space. And asked us not to use the A/C further.

                    I have purchased the A/C and the guys from Vivek & Co did the experimented in my money. Earlier Vivek & Co Supervisor said that they can only change the faulty spares(if it is faulty). After so many discussions they agreed to change the A/C but they won’t change the cabinet. This shows their cheating stuff.

                    I am afraid whether I got the New A/C or Faulty one.

                    I have spent 1000 Rs for installing the window A/C. And purchased the A/C for 23000 (1 ton) which is 1400Rs. extra When compared to other showrooms.

                    Everything has gone waste, the final result, I cant use my A/C .

                    * Service will be done by Vivek & Co ( No-one will pic the call if you call the service centre)
                    * Technicians from Vivek & Co will look into the issue if you compliant any fault ( You can see the pictures how they work and how they care about the customer.)

                    Now a days consumers were cheated like this for the money.

                    At last Vivek & Co has agreed to replace the A/C. As it has been escalated to higher level, the reaction was too fast.
                    REGARDING DISH TV RENEVAL CHARGES ACTUALLY I PAID THE RENEVAL AT VADAPALANI BRANCH ON 05.09.2009 BUT SO FAR MY DISH TV IS NOT ACTIVATED SO CANNOT ABLE TO VIEW THE CHANNELS PLEASE DO THE NEED FUL AT YOUR END WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT.

                    I billed for a LCD TV (samsung) on 24.09.09 & till 30.09.09 no technician has come for the installation. I have made umpteen number of calls and there is no proper response. I am totally dissatisfied with their service.
                    yes i purchased a sansui t.v. 21 inchs .within few days it went out damaged totally. Inspite of repeated complaint to vivek vadapalani branch and sansui customer care there is no truthful committment from both the people. we are totally disgraced and we are further proceeding to consumer court in short time. I never expected such an attitude from vivek and sansui service center.
                    Some people who committ are totally untruthful. I am going to claim damages from them, as i am an advocate from chennai.
                    Vivek and co is horrible, They dont do all that is required to ensure that the AC works.

                    I have bought 3 acs before form Ratna Fan House and their service / installation is professional. I made a mistake by buying from Vivek.
                    We purchased voltas 1.5ton ac on 4.5.2013 from annanagar viveks..my advice to friendz dnt buy any products from annanagar viveks.poor service and wrost feedback from viveks..they dnt know how to treat customer..compare to other company viveks is wrost..

                    I have purchased 1.5 inverter (Hitachi) A.C. from Tambaram chandra tower viveks on 14.04.2014. The product was delivered to me after so many requests. on 18.04.2014. The mechanic (one Mr.Tamim) came for installation on[protected] around 3.00 p.m. They have try to install the product till 9.00 pm and they unable to install the product and some noise is coming out of the machine. They finally left my house without any word. Then i approached to Tambaram vivek on[protected] and they have told me they will sort it out today[protected]. Mean time yesterday evening[protected] one person calling him self mechanic of vivek and informed that he will come to install the machine around 6.00 P.M., but every 15 minutes he informed that he will come in next 15 minutes and after 9.00 p.m. no call from him and he switched of the mobile. Apart from this today some one from viveks called my wife and informed that the product will be delivered to you today. We just confused that we are frequently complained about non installation but suddenly one call for delivery of new machine.

                    Our original request of installation is still not attended and we are very much irritated for this purchase from vivek, since no one is either the show room / customer care center or the mechanics are not informing correct position to us. This is highly irresponsible attitude of vivek towards customer and i am ashamed of purchased a product from vivek.

                    I have bought AC from T Nagar viveks on 18.6.2019 for 47, 700.it was delivered on the same day.i was assured by Mr. Lokesh([protected]) and Mr.Suresh([protected]) from AC division that it will be fixed by the technical person that day itself .But till date they didn't fix and its almost 3 days.Due to heavy summer only we bought AC but what is the use of we keeping it as a show case doll. I even spoke to Mr.Lokesh, Mr.Iyappan ([protected])and customer care. Perhaps, no response at all.I wish to bring this to higher offices notices about the very very poor customer care with viveks. .kindly help me out of it and do take necessary action on the people who are lethargic in the technical division. i have already send mail to your vice present . for further clarification contact [protected]

                      Viveks at Madras being the No. 1 dealer of all consumer products and appliances AS THEY CLAIM, I have been their customer for more than 15 years. NOW I FOUND THEY ARE USELESS AND EXPRESSED THEIR CONCERN THAT THEY DO NOT SERVICE FRIDGES AND THE CUSTOMERS HAVE TO GO THRU THE MANUFACTURERS, WHICH IS WHIRLPOOL.

                      VIVEKS HAVE BECOME VERY UNRELIABLE AND INCOMPETENT BY SAYING SO; MY QUESTION TO THEM IS WHEN MANUFACTURER THEMSELF NOT ABLE TO SERVICE THE HIGH END MODELS OF FRIDGES LIKE FF450, WHY VIVEKS ARE SHOW CASING THEIR PRODUCTS ?

                      Sir:

                      We have purchased a refrigerator FF 450 from Vivek & Co in Chennai on 07/01/2005. We were provided by a free one year warranty. During this time the fridge failed two times and the time taken by your authorized agencies was more than two weeks to rectify, saying that they do not store the spare parts for high end models and it has to be arranged.

                      Later on after one year we have entered into PMP Plan with Sairam Referigeration from 07/01/07 for five years. Again and again many problems and break downs happened in the past two years. Recently on 05/05/2009 the fridge did not work. We tried calling up the customer service numbers stuck in the fridge and also from the documentation we had received from Sairam Refrigeration but we could not reach any body. Finally we called up the supplier Vivek and found that Sairam does not exist and we have to call whirlpool Customer care.

                      We called them and registered the complaint with your call center by case No: 17422 dated 10/05/2009. On 12th one Mr. Sundar from Maruthi came and inspected and he told us that the fridge has to be defrosted for at least 6 hours, then only he will be able to remove the cover inside the freezer and hence we had to switch off the fridge, even though it is not cooling. Evening on the same day he opened it and told us that some part is not functioning and it may take two to three days to get the parts.

                      Today we called up your call center and found they could not get the spare and it may take some more days as it is expected from Hyderabad, quoting the reason that they do not keep spares for these high end models. If that being the case, why you market these products.

                      I am of the opinion that your call center people are very irresponsible, right from the call takers till the supervisors. It is very pathetic to see Whirlpool of America is functioning in India like this. When I called your HQ[protected] and asked for the MD, the lady who picked up the phone talks very rough and trying to teach me to be polite and hung up the line as if we are under your mercy.

                      I being a CEO of an American Software company lived for 23 years in the US, the business ties we had with Whirlpool, I thought I will enjoy the same quality of service in India, but it is pathetic. This has created a serious mental agony and torture dealing with irresponsible people of your call centre and your franchise.

                      In these Circumstances, why I cannot take legal action in the Consumer Redressal forum for the problems I faced with your company, for having bought a product, which you could not support. I will also put up the matter in Internet, Media etc.
