I have a vodafone postpaid connection [protected]. In the monthly bill for the period 24 April-23 May 2014, I am charged Rs.99/- under an item "download".
When I called up the customer care, they said a file has been downloaded named shotformat_dw****** for which Rs.99/- were charged. When I asked them what this file is, they had no idea. They said it could have been a chargeable item which I may have downloaded from a website. However, I did not download anything that was chargeable to my carrier. I have a 3G datapack of 1gb, and my data limit had not exhausted. They don't even know if this file is a song, a game, a software or a video.
I do not understand that if they don't know what I have downloaded, how can they charge me? When I told them that it has to be some error in their system, they simply refused. I tried to log a complaint on 198, but they continuously argued with me and did not log any complaint. I am sure they are over-charging me.
