Hi,
I am using Vodafone R201 MiFi router with post paid 3G data sim from last 18 months. While traveling if I goes to some other place, automatically signal comes to 2G even though 3G signals avail in that place. Every time I need to wait for a log time to get 3G signal back in different place. Most of the time, I didn’t get 3G signal and their customer service is pathetic. Before I get 3G signal, most of time I would have come back to bangalore without using internet. Even their data download calculation also not reliable. They just show bogus data download and
send bulk bill even tough i have not used much.
Most worst part with vodafone is their sales staff from Jayanagar 4th Block, Bangalore. They cheated me while buying this router. While buying this router, their sales person Mr. D Promodh Rao told me that we can use any sim with R210 mifi router. But fact is we can’t use any other network sim with this router(without unlocking) and that person never told us that we have to use only vodafone sim. Now he has been promoted Manager for cheating number of customers.
After having 18months of worst experience with vodafone finally decided to change network. But I need to unlock
this R201 mifi router. When I visit Jayanagar 4th block vodafone outlet, after arguing a lot with store Manager Promodh Rao, he asked me to bring bill so that he can unlock it. When I visited second time on next
day, that person never bother to come out of his cabin and sent another person. He told. they will not unlock this mifi device. According to them, either we need to continue with vodafone worst service by paying
hug bogus bill or we need to throw SIM and mifi router(cost is Rs. 5500/-) to dust bin. They are not selling this router in discount price or any discount tariff is there so that we can compromise and continue
with vodafone.
Sales person will hide that, we need to get unlocked to use different network or they will lie that we can use
any network without unlocking or they will unlock when ever we needed. They just want us to waste our money for nothing. Their staff told, they could unlock if its in warranty period. I told them that, you can charge for unlocking. But he was not ready for that as he simply told out of warranty reason to escape from unlocking. . What I need to say for this?
So friends, my advice is never go to vodafone Internet service and don't go to buy this vodafone R 201 Mifi router . I am not sure about vodafone’s other service. But I have very bad experience with 3G Internet and their mifi router.
