I am an user of Vodafone Postpaid for last 6-7 months. I have a 1GB 3g plan (after 1GB, unlimited 2g) I was charged Rs 49 for downloading some wapvilla(doesn't know what was that). When I called customer care, they told me that I have accessed chargeable sites but when I asked what are the list of chargeable sites, she didn't told me anything. Please help me. Thanks

In my Vodafone Postpaid Bill for September ( on Number : 808****678), Vodafone has charged me an additional Fake amount of Rs 49, supposedly for some download that they claim to have happened on my phone. This is incorrect. Because firstly, i have an Unlimited Internet Plan (3G_Connect_375). Secondly, The download time shown is Afternoon. During afternoon i am always connected to my office WiFi so I dont use my net pack at that time. Also i have all nevessary security measures to block pop ups and unwanted downloads. So please do not say again that I have downloaded this. The name of the downloaded Content mentioned is, wapvilla_ppd. I dont have anything like that on my phone.
I have all the details of all downloads on my phone since May 2014. I can provide screen shots of them if required. All of my downloads, are free small content, and nothing of which need to be charged.
The amount may be small, but I do not intend to pay a single penny other than my own usage, if Vodafone just wants to cheat the customers. The same Fraud activity has been done for several of my friends bills as well. They have all reported a fake charge of Rs 49 or 99 for some download that hasn't happened on their phone. I have proper information that Vodafone has used this same tactics to cheat several others customers from various places. Some of the Content names shown as "Downloaded" are "wapvilla_ppd" charging Rs 49, "shotformat" charging Rs 99 etc.. Vodafone Customer care is so utterly Useless and all they reply if we call up and complaint is that "Their Vodafone Billing systems are correct & up to date, & that there is no error". What about the 100s of people who are complaining everywhere with the same download content name & amount.
This is highly unprofessional for such a big Telephone Network Company, and I'm sure they will not last long if they intend to Fool customers like this.

Same problem here.. I noticed some random download and cancelled in time. Despite that, they have charged for it. All they need to do is to find a technical mechanism to make sure that customer has downloaded the app 100% and installed it - they will easily come to know what to charge and what not to!
I am a Vodafone Customer in Delhi using corporate connection 299 Plan in which i am getting 750MB 3G after that 2G Free data plan.

Vodafone has charged me total of Rs 124 + Tax /- for downloading vuclipindia_pack75 of Rs 75 & along with wapvilla_ppd of Rs 49/-. in last month's september bill. So in all they have charged me Rs 124/- for downloading a stuff which I had never downloaded. When I called their Customer Forum for explaination they had no proper explaination. They just keep on sending me one line with incomplete details "You downloaded vuclipindia_p***** on 21/09/14-06:23:54 and wapvill****** on 25/09/14-07:11:11". I jhave never downloaded this kind of stuff or never visited these websites. This is fraud i need a proper explanation why should i pay when i haven't downloaded anything. Solve my query asap. Sad such a multinational company like vodafone using cheap means to earn extra bucks…shame on you guys. I am also gonna register a complaint and discontinue vodafone service for sure. I don't understand by using these cheap tricks you guys might gain some money but will losse customers. I have read hundreds of such complaints in which you guys have charged for these nonsense things.

Although i know you don't have any solution for this but still again want to hear that useless customer service foolish reply.

I too have been facing the same problem. The worst thing is that the Vodafone customer care has the guts to send me an email saying that their system is accurate.

So many people are facing the same problem, Why isn't anyone taking up the issue at a legal forum. Below is a quote of an email from Vodafone. The reply is so cryptic and meaningless.

"Below are the details for the download:

All these days I faced only network problem. Now I am facing billing problem with Vodafone. For my number, I have activated data plan before two months. My billing shows (for this two months), I have downloaded some application named wap villa. I haven’t downloaded any application and this application is not available in my mobile. Last month while paying my amount, I called your customer care and I have told that I have not downloaded any application, however I paid my bill.

Again this month I have been told that I have downloaded same application and charged 150 rupees. If this is going to continue, I don’t want to have your Vodafone number. You guys are charging an unknown amount every month which is not downloaded or utilized by me. I am not going to pay this 150 rupees and I will pay only the remaining amount Rs.350/-.

I also want to disconnect my relationship with Vodafone. I don’t like to have network issue and billing issue with you guys every month. I have enough proof that how many complaints I have raised for network problem.

Please let me know how I can port all my 4 numbers. I DON’T want your connection henceforth.

I'd like to gladly inform you that I have put my port request. It was my mistake that I ever took the sick Vodafone Connection.. CHEATS, FRAUDS, ...#@%!$#%!@!!! I really hope & pray that every other Vodafone customer also ports away from ur network, and that all o[censored] will loose ur jobs for cheating so many people around the world. And that Vodafone gets doomed.. As I remember it, Hutch connection were facing problems, and Vodafone bought Hutch.. Now we see why you mobile companies face issues.. i was charged for using of website wapvilla and mydala sites which i never used and i never got notification for the same. When I called to customer support they said no to log the complint which is not acceptable. I have send the email to them but to the response they say, ( to use the GPRS services cautiously and avoid clicking on the links and advertisements available on the websites. )

I have been also cheated by Vodafone. Appvilla download charges of 49 rs is billed evrymonth in my post paid bill.
I really dont know why these chrges are billed to me. I have called 198 today 1 am 23rd Nov. The customer service representative put my call on hold for 32 mins and then he disconnected the call. This is frustating. I contacted consumer forum. I will follow the process and file a case. Also spread this news to all social media website. Everybody should know what vodafone is doing with post paid customers.
I am also facing the same problem regarding Wappvilla bull !!!

Same this time they have charged me rs.49 for stupid wapvill when I obviously did not use this application. Just irritated with Vodafone.
Its same with me too. They have charged Rs.89.32/- for some unkonwn download from vuclipindia_p*** & con******. On asking list of websites which are chargable they said vuclipindia_p***& con****** are the links. I don't know what kind of links they are!

But they have also passed a credit of Rs.89.32 to my account which will be reflected in my next bill.

    I changed my mobile plan to Advantage 1299 in April 2014. When we received the Bill in the month of May then they had charged Rs.1299 and also charged us for data usage at their usual rate. We immediately stopped using the data and complained to Vodafone. They came back to us after 3-4 days and reversed the charges. I asked them to send me complete details of the data package that we have and they have sent us the details. When the new Bill comes in the month of June (current) then the mistake has been repeated and I feel that this is deliberate as their system is definitely not manual and therefore error cannot be repeated if corrected once. They have charges us Rs.1299 and also separately for Data usage. When pointed out they have not reversed it and instead sent me a mail that they will revert in 7 working days. IN the mean time the last date of payment is close. I have following complaints against Vodafone: 1. Every time I send a mail to them they tell us that they will revert in 2 working days. Why should they not attend to it immediately? 2. When you try calling them then one never gets a satisfactory reply and there is no record of the discussion. So no point in calling them. 3. How can they do wrong billing in the first place with all the automated and computerised system in place? 4. How can the mistake be repeated if it has been brought to their notice, acknowledged and corrected by them? 5. Why should they take 7 days to revert for a repeat mistake? 6. We did not use the data package for 3- 4 days. Vodafone has refused to compensate us for that. Why should they not be penalised for this? 7. We had to undergo lot of mental agony and are still undergoing mental agony due to wrong billing. Vodafone should compensate us for the same. 8. Quality of Vodafone network is very poor. I have complained on their website. No response on that. We are hardly able to use pur mobile phone while in office. 9. Overall, Vodafone has shown complete apathy to me as a customer.

      Hi, At the time of taking a new post paid connection, I was informed by Vodafone store executive about a gift scheme which can be redeemed post my 1st, 2nd and/or month billing. Its been almost 8 months I have been using this number, and made around 4 rounds to Vodafone store for redeeming the same. During my 4th visit, my registration was done by its executive in the store, vide registration number 6043, and I was told that gift would be received in 15 days at door steps. It is over 40 days now, and I have no clue about the gift. When I check with Vodafone Store, they say this is with CISPL. Contacting CISPL is more frustrating than contacting Vodafone custermer service. Their executives are always busy and in around 5 seconds, the call gets disconnected. Should I wait for any response or shall I assume that I was cheated by Vodafone!! This is the last attempt I am making by posting here. Thanks D Prabhakar Rao [protected]

        Hi Team, My balance was deducted on 5 June 2014 of approx Rs.150 that should be refunded. 1. My phone was switched off during my visit to Nepal (only border for half an hour). 2. I have never requested to activate International roaming. 3. As per my knowledge other Vodafone users do not get charged for international roaming in that region of Nepal. 4. All this was communicated to Customer Care (Niranjan) on 5 June and he assured me to escalate this however I have never heard back. This needs to be resolved ASAP.

When I inquired with the Vodafone customer service their reply was that I had downloaded from a link on 31/08/14 for which I was charged. First of all I didn't download anything for which I would be charged. When I googled the link which I got from Vodafone customer service found out that there were similar complaints of other Vodafone customers stating the same problem.

        Within 2 days my complete balance got deducted
        When enquired with customer care centre i
        Got info that amount was deducted of browsing,
        But I did not got any info from Vodafone of dedication
        When enquired they saying my number is dnd activated
        So msg will not be sent

        I request to sort my issue and revert my amount
        My Rs 35 balance was deducted automatically for the TV mode activation which I did not activate. After talking to the customer care executive, they deactivated it and promised to return the amount. But after talking to the customer care executive for two times again they said they will return but not received the balance yet. Balance deducted on 24th of March 2015. My number is [protected].
        I have 2 vodafone numbers and balance is deducted from both of them for a fraud source dowload- DNLD-ALT_ROZGAR_PPU_10_ALTRUIST which is not either intentionally or unintentiontally dowloaded .
        Even any alert or msg was also not followed after this deduction.
        What type of fraud is this!!
        Kindly resolve the matter ASAP.
        My vodafone rajasthan numbers balance of Rs. 49 is deducted 3 times in last 3 months at exact time of the day from a fraud source download- DNLD-WWAP_DLS0049_PPU_KINO1467053 which is not either intentionally or unintentionally downloaded. Called on customer care but they didn't help seem like they are also a part of this fraud. They don't even tell who is deducted the amount. Even no alert or message was not followed after this deduction, even this deduction is not listed in history of vodafone app. I'm of the opinion to port the service to BSNL or other network.

          It is bring to your kind notice that i was using a vodafone prepaid number [protected] from the last 4 or 5 years but a month back i raised a request to convert this number into postpaid corporate number. so, for this one of your executive Prakash visited my home for collecting the document but after some day one of your executive called me and said that your verification is in negative list because as per report you are Tenant but the fact is that my family is living in this area from the last 120 years and then he said that no one was present at home during the visit of executive but i am living in joint family and again it is not possible that no one was not present at home, my brother and my mother always stay at home and actually your executive didn't visit my home or office for verification. Now, the problem is that my outgoing calls has been stopped due to all miscommunication and i am facing very major problem due to that.

              Hi All

              Trust you are doing good, despite knowing the fact that your users are not good by associating with you.I am one of the regular customer of vodafone since more then a year & i believe it was one of the utmost wanted service provider company, but it was my myth reason since last couple of weeks, there is unwanted deduction of my account balance each time, however i have been assured by the customer cares ( sachin shukla, Satyendra, Zubair) that i will be credited within 24 hours with the deducted amount, but awaiting for the balance since last 2 weeks, the same has been happened again on this Sunday i.e 15th June, 14.SO I am feeling helpless with your customer complaint zone.

              Hope to hear soon from this forum, since i am fed up with the customer care no.

                We have already taken 8 CUG mobile connections from your firm since last five years. Now a days the monthly bills are not informed in due course.                   On 4thApril I called Vodafone to activate my 3G plan, and deactivate blackberry plan. I was told, As my billing cycle is 3rd to 2nd, so, the BB plan has already been activated, and will be charged for full month, even If I deactivate. So I was suggested that, I use this plan for the month, and on 1st or 2nd get the change done. On 1st june I raised a request to activate my 3G plan and deactivate BB, The vodafone Executive knew the reason I am shifting, But HE DINT INFORM ME THAT IF I ACTIVATE THE PLAN EVEN 24HOURS BEFORE MY BILLING CYCLE, I WILL BE CHARGED. Now, when I got my bill, I am charged for last months BB plan(justified), and am also charged for the 3G plan which got activated on 2nd May at 12AM. That means, After giving me false information, and not informing about the plans, Vodafone easily fooled me into paying which was not justified. I am one of the vodafone's oldest customer, with high credit limit... thus if vodafone can do this with its old customers, they cannot be trusted for new connections atall. Siddharth

                  Its very very surprising that, such a ridiculous customer care system vodafone has, I really used to feel one proud vodafone customer, but its very very disappointing.
                  The customer care people, doesnt know how to talk, neither they can understand, moreover try to talk in english which they dont know a bit, and hence screwup the meaning even more.

                  I received 2 calls from vodafone (one at 8:27AM on Sunday) and one more, both the times, I pickedup but there was no response from other side.
                  I received a message "Hello. In response... Please call 111 for an update"
                  (I guess this simply means, for the update on your complaint.)

                  I called 111, and the so called executive says, update is: "Vodafone called you two times, 1 at this... and 2nd at this... you did not answer...Therefore vodafone will call again"
                  HAHAHAHA... this is what you call update?????????

                  I need the amount to be rolled back IMMEDIATELY... Otherwise face the consequences of wasting customer's time and money.

                    Sir, The mobile connection i have taken 10 years back, and there was no problem in billing, usually my billing amount does>Rs500/.but in the month of May 2014 i received a billof Rs 6743/ i was surprised on enquiry i was told that i have made aISD call to Somalia for 62 minutes, since my mobile has no ISD facility i briefed them but instead of checking the issue they are giving the same old reply.my humble request is that my moble does not have ISD facility, then how can i make call to outside India, this may be verified from my previous 10 years outgoing callsI think some technical error in the system, instead of setting right they are unnecessarily giving trouble to the customer.please set right the error and allow me live peaceful retired life(i am 64 yrsold) With Regards, V.Chandra

                    Sir on19.06.2014 @16.32 hours I received a messahe from VG vodafone stating that a sum of Rs.7214.73 may be paid by[protected] to enjoy un interepted service, again @19.10 hrs I received a message from them stating that pl ignore the earlier payment reminder sms. we regret the inconvenience caused. Again on[protected] @12.10 hrs I received a message stating pl pay the amount immediately. I am not understanding how can they send different messages.Sir pl sort out my problem and set right my bill .

                      I feel very sorry to say you that last 15 days continuously i am trying to get GPRS Manual Net setting in my iball tab model no i9018. Eventhough taking request for manual setting. At present in my family we r all using vodafone and i am having two no r [protected] & [protected], from both the number i have requested for the same. I also talk to u r executive officer on 15/6/14 at around 1500 hrs. He promises me within 24 hours it will be done. I don, t know weather i have done mistake to associate with u r service.

                        Hello, myself samuel. syrian, my name has changed to new name samuel syrian from old name sunil. shinde. the application and documents had given to vodafone store to thane gokhale road naupada on 7th may 2014. but still the old name is reflecting on the billing statement. Several times the complaint has lodged to customer care but still waiting their call to recieve. Find too embarrassing to carry a carrier like vodafone, no value for customer requests.

                            Hi, At the time of taking a new post paid connection, I was informed about a gift scheme based on my 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd month billing, which I can redeem after 1st or/and 2nd or/and 3rd bill payments. Its been almost 8 months I have been using this number, and made around 4 rounds to Vodafone store for redeeming the same. During my 4th visit, my registration was done, vide registration number 6043, by the store executive and the screen shot was shared to me. I was told the gift would be received in 15 days at door steps. It is around 40 days now, and I have no clue about the gift. When I check with Vodafone Store, they say this is with CISPL. Contacting CISPL is frustrating. Their executives are always busy and in around 5 seconds, the call gets disconnected. Should I wait for any response or shall I assume that I was cheated...                               I sent a request for porting regarding my vodafone number [protected] but after few hour dated on 24/05/2914 at 5:19 pm vodafone executive called me and offered a plan Rs 349/- plan including thousand call local and std+1GB data on 3G speed and I excepted the plan now the problem is the executive committed wrong. I am not getting benefit as he told me kindly request you solve this problem. Thank you

                              This is issue pertaining to wrong information been committed to customer, Hence drop a mail to nodal.[protected]@vodafone.com, appellate.[protected]@vodafone.com clearly mentioning the committed offering, executive name or no from which the call came and your pain.
                              If the problem is not resolved there are more channels for escalation, though, i think your concern will be addressed at this level only

                                Dear Sir, I used ([protected]) Vodafone Sim Since 1 year with same plan, but recently your changed the previous plan without intimation. As per previous plan I used my sim but i received present plan (I think its working previous plan after received bill i was shocked). Please change my plan and process the bill as per previous plan. If your not consider my request i am not able to use your network.. Please consider above the same and do the needful action as soon as possible Dear Sir, My current Plan is NC_DL_MV_Alankit99 and without any intimation Vodafone people has changed my current Plan to ST_CR_MV_E_Talk_99 which is totally illegal as my billing cycle starts from 25th March to 24th April Midnight. Despite my continuous explanations to Vodafone customer care executives they seem to stick to the same behavior and as per My Bill Dated 25th March My Billing Cycle should be from 25th March to 24th April Midnight. So I requested many times with Vodafone customer care executives to change my plan into my previous plan which is NC_DL_MV_Alankit99 & I also requested them to discount the extra amount which was charged to me. After many repeated calls they changed my account into NC_DL_MV_Alankit99, but they didn’t discount the extra amount which was charged to my account unnecessarily and without my knowledge. What I want is the same plan and the extra amount to be discounted from my account. If this is the way Vodafone treats its customer then you can understand how ethical they would be at service... So, I hereby request to kindly take initiative and do the needful

                                I got a call from Vodafone today with no.[protected] & they are saying that they will not refund the amount to me. Am totally vexed with the services of Vodafone. So i request to pls look into the matter and do the needful for me.

                                    Hi, I am submitting this complaint as a vodafone prepaid sim user. I am unable to make or receive any calls since today morning. I see a "network busy" message every time I am trying to make a call. I tried switching on and off the phone. I also tried to remove and put the sim again. I have also checked with other vodafone users and we all realised that the vodafone network is not working. However, he messaging / text facility is working. We are near Ghatkesar Hyderabad. Is there any problem with nearby towers ? Can this problem be resolved asap. We are facing lot of trouble due to this!!! Vodafone Authotrities, please do something! Route us to a different network if possible, we cant stay unconnected like this. Thanks, Lata

Kindly cancel dis pack n refund me the deduction asap.

                                        about a 2 days ago while i was surfing on my internet a pop up message bar has been flashed.I immediately closed this window but due to its loading page a RS 75 has been deducted from my balance.While i haven't get a single message of this deduction from Vodafone.When i came to know about it after a 1 day and call customer care Executive She has refused me to answer about it.The Senior Person Named Vishal Patil has told me that it was a fault in your Mobile Device.As i have Used too many cards of Different company they haven't told me about it and i have never Experienced this things in my mobile device.He also tell me to complain anywhere as no one will help you in this matter from vodafone and u will get same answer.So it's a totally fraudge service from vodafone to its customer.As i asked him for Refund this amount to my balance, his rude answer tell me that its your handset problem.Neither we nor our system has fault.So how could i know whose mistake is this, as they havent message me after the deduction of this amount from my balance.
