Sir, I requested for e bill for my vodafone prepaid mobile number 3 days before. after three days I got a confirmation call that what is my email ID and they are sending my e bill on my email address within 04 hours on 21 may 14 at 1330 hrs . It is most urgent for me and my family. I could not get the bill after 4 hours. I am calling again and again to customer care of bihar (customer care chargable no [protected]) from new delhi because i am working in delhi. I called 10-15 times but they are simply telling that I will received my e bill soon. After 28 hours, date 22 may 14 at 19 30 hrs vodafone customer care again told me that This is last time and you will get your e bill within 4 hours till 23 30 of 22 may 14 . I am waiting till ensured time and could not get my e bill of Apr of 2014. Now, I wanted to know why they did not sent my e bill on due time and i am simply mentally and financially harassed with my family tension. what shoud i do ?

      Sir, I am Himadri Sekhar Kar. I am using a Post Paid Mobile connection of Vodafone since March-14. From beginning I am using 2G Data Plan @ Rs.155/- per month, which allows 1GB free data. . On 15/4/14 I received one offer message in my phone in c/w 300 MB 3G data service for Rs.100/- per month. It was mentioned in the said message that "to know & activate dial *121#". I dialled *121# to know in details about the offer. But later on 17-4-14 I noticed that 3G service has been activated in my connection without informing me anything without my permission. I immediately spoke with the Vodafone Customer Care to stop the 3G service and wanted their explanation as to how the service was activated without my explicit permission. They stated that as I have dialled *121#, the service was activated. The 3G service was deactivated, and usual 2G service was reactivated on 17-4-14. But I had no intention to activate 3G service, I only wanted to know about the offer in details before taking any decision. Now when I get my bill for the Billing Cycle for 6th April- 5th May-2014, I noticed that they have charged huge amount for the 3G service. I spoke with the Vodafone customer Care on 11.5.14 and registered a complain in regards to the bill (complain registration no.[protected]) which they attended on 14.5.14, without any fruitful result. On 15.5.14, I sent an email to vodafonecare, kolkata, which they responded to on 15.5.14, stating that the 3G service had been activated with my approval, which completely false. I again emailed them on 20.5.14 requesting them to explain how can they activate a service without informing the details as promised in the message "to know & activate dial *121#" In turn they replied in the same line and expressed their inability to revise the charges levied. On 21.5.14 & 22.5.14 I received service call from Vodafone with regard to bill in question. I again explained the fact in details to them and wanted to know the meaning of the phrase "to know & activate dial *121#", on both occasion they failed to explain and stated that they will forward my concern to their higher level for solution. But I am yet to get any fruitful solution to my problem, and it seems they are willfully lingering the issue with an intention to penalise me for defaulting payment, the due date of payment being 24.5.14. On the above context I request you to kindly look into the matter and take appropriate action against the company for cheating the customers by sending ambiguous and misleading offer message.       On the above reply from Vodafone this is to state that none of the customer care executives who spoke to me on the above issues, cloud satisfactorily answered my query. They repeatedly stated that the 3G service was activated with my permission as I have dialled *121#. But in no way I am agree with them as it was clearly written in the offer message in question that "to know & activate dial *121#". I would have no objection if they had activated the service after making a call to me detailing the offer.

      Let Vodafone intimate me whether the format of the offer message abide by the laid down rules & regulations of Telephone Regulatory Authority of India, or not.

      They are cheating people with such misleading & ambiguous message.

        Dear Sir, I am a customer of Vodafone. My No. is [protected] registered in Delhi. I use vodafone prepaid sim card in my dongle. I have recharged my number with Rs 455/- for 2GB 3G data plan on 17th May 2014. The amount has been debited from my account but due some internal error, the transaction was not processed. I didnot get that data plan. Later I called to Vodafone customer care on 198 same day and queried regarding refund of my account. The concerened Official ( could not remember the name) told me that the same amount would be credited back to my account within 4-5 days. Today is 5th Day and till now I have not received my Money back. Since I m a student so Rs 455 matters to me. Kindly help me out. Incase online transaction fails, the amount charged from your bank account gets credited back to your account within 7 working days. We request you to kindly check with your bank for the same. However, in case the amount is not credited back to your bank account, we request you to kindly send us the scanned copy of bank statement confirming the transaction debited from your bank account so, that we can check and assist you in the best possible manner.           Respected Sir/Madam, There is an overdue amount of Rs 2937.17 as on Jan-2014 against my Vodafone mobile phone number [protected] and Relationship number 8.11607003.00.00.100059 After sending number of emails for cancellation of my number, it was committed and agreed by Mr. Rupesh Shetty on 19th Feb 2014 that Vodafone will can cancel my number upon clearing due amount. I paid on the next working day i.e, 20th Feb 2014 and asked for the cancellation confirmation. Once paid, no reply on that from Vodafone about cancellation. But, Vodafone didn't cancel my number, instead they started sending bills for Apr Month. I sent number of mails about the reason for sending bills eventhoug it is agreed to cancel. There is no response on that matter till now. Since 15 days, I keep on asking for the reason, each time when I ask below it the response. "With regard to your e-mail, we wish to inform you that, the services for above mentioned Vodafone mobile number has already been suspended w.e.f. 17/03/2014. Further, we wish to inform you that, there is amount due of Rs.654.05/- on above mentioned Vodafone number [protected] as per your bill dated 07/04/2014. Which has a payment due date of 25/04/2014. " I didn't understand, why there is poor response from Vodafone. If I have to pay for valid reason, I will make the payment immediately, but they are not responding to mails for the reason. Hope at least Vodafone will reply now. FYI, I have never used my number for making any calls or internet connection after I requested for cancellation. Thanks, Venkat.

          I sent number of mails for giving me the valid reason for Apr month bill amount, I never get any response about reason, as I said, they keep on repeating the same generic email about payment.

          Now, they sent a legal notice for payment from Harish Gore <[protected]@harishsgore.in>, even I gave all information about this case by putting Vodafone team in CC. No reply from any of them till now.

          I sent mail to Vodafone team like below, could you confirm can customer give timelines to a company to give proper reason otherwise whatever they are claiming will be invalid since they failed to respond to customer? Attached the mail screenshot that I sent.

          " Vodafone Team,

          I dont need pinpoint one particular person, whoever responsible for this can reply.

          If you dont answer with valid reason for the due amount, I will assume and confirm that there is no outstanding due amount from me and since its your negligence, it will be adjusted internally from your side. Also you will permanently disconnect my number if not done yet ( its your internal issue anyway once committed to customer).

          I told number of times that I am not using any number. Requested to reply via email many times. My preferred communication is email as it will be acted as proof of what we agreed and committed.

          Who told you to call this number [protected] ? Its not my number. During my Vodafone activation, I gave this number for reference as I remember.

          Vodafone is wasting my time since 4 months for simple issue. They take ages of time to respond.

          They are always trying to divert the issue by putting their internal issues. Latest example is about, I am seeking response on the commitment they gave to cancel my number after clearing the dues via email as I don't have mobile number right now.

          Vodafone Response:
          "We tried to contact you on [protected] at 10:40 AM, but we were unable to speak to you.

          With regard to your e-mail, we wish to inform you that your Vodafone mobile number [protected] has already been suspended w.e.f. 17/03/2014 due to unpaid bill.

          Further, we wish to inform you that your Vodafone mobile number [protected] had been reactivated w.e.f. 20/02/2014.

          Also, an outstanding amount of Rs. 654.05/- has been remain on your Vodafone mobile number [protected] toward the invoice dated 07/06/2014. Kindly make payment for future proceed.
          "

          What I understand: Vodafone people are not understanding what is the actual issue from customer and how they should resolve the issue.

          If Vodafone start calling to the number [protected] then I put a complaint for unauthorized calls as I gave this as reference for activating my number as I remember. In the past also, Vodafone called to this number and asking for payments when I am in touch with Vodafone related to payment issues.

          Why are you trying to divert my question.

          It is committed and agreed that after paying the outstanding balance on 19th Feb 2014 to cancel my number.

          Why should I consider if it is your internal problem that you activated my number automatically after paying the bill on 20th Feb 2014?

          Below is the response from you doesn't make any sense without answering my question.

          Secondly, don't you read my emails? I told number of times that I am not using mobile number and reply to emails. Still, why do your company bothering by calling reference numbers that I gave during the activation of vodafone connection?

            Service request number : [protected] I got a call from Vodafone on my number [protected] yesterday afternoon regarding internet plans. the guy told me about unlimited internet plan details, which I already knew. After the call was disconnected, I found out that my balance was deducted by Rs. 198. I didn't ask for the internet plan activation, nor did he inform me that he would activate the plan on my phone. I called customer care and requested for refund, which was subsequently rejected today. the reason they told me was that I have used the data. Actually I didn't even know that a plan was activated on my phone. As soon as I got the message regarding plan activation, I deleted the settings. The total amount used is 0.55 MB, that's not even 1 MB. and I didn't know about the plan activation till then. i just want a proof of me requesting for internet activation plan. Actually I never asked for the activation of internet on my phone. There was a similar complaint regarding free internet 4 years back, which was also not resolved. But this time I won't let go. I will be filing A complaint at every possible medium against Vodafone. And you will be pleased to note that each and every person who attends our queries on 198 number is a complete . Those total are so rude that you can't even imagine. If this time my complaint isn't resolved, I am ready to fight a legal battle against Vodafone in order to bring you disgusting people to terms.

              Hello, My Text msg block from 20 days and i think works again after some days may be some issues but not currently its too many days almost 1 month, previously automatically network goes Off and Red cross on my network and currently now facing text msg issue, i have received the msgs but not able to send.
              i am now thinking to stop the vodafone services, from 8-10 years i am using vodafone number but never have problems like these, from 4 months the issues happens networks automatically off red cross when i actually need to call in emergency my mobile is not working and after mobile restart the network comes again and some apps like Smartcardservices automatically installed in my mobile, is it hacking technique or vodafone fault as per my research about the issue its hacking but how someone block my network and msg block, currently my msg not sent but received. if its hacking case someone will force to vodafone to do it and if its not like that then vodafone do their own side, the question is why vodafone is doing, again i am goes to my first point.
              can someone will force to vodafone to block my network and msgs. can you help me otherwise i don't have any option and buy sim from another service provider.

                  Sir, My wife (smt. Nayana Rawal) and self (BG RAWAL) were on a visit to Malaysia and Singapore from March 8 to April 14/14. Vodafone agency was requested to provide international roaming facilities to both o[censored]s on our mobile numbers, viz: [protected] (self) and [protected] (wife). It is our misfortune that we also requested for Internet 3G facility which resulted in the receipt of highly inflated bills for the months of March and April 2014. We asked vodafone to re-examine as we were using Internet / wifi available there at our children's places and never used Internet facility of vodafone or their associates in those countries. But they asked us to pay or face stoppage of outgoing services. They indeed stopped my mobile and I was forced to pay the amount of Rs. 2111/- though knowing fully well that bill was incorrect. Then again I received another bill for the month of April which is to the tune of Rs. 3763/- Now they are pressurising me to pay the bill failing which they will stop my outgoing calls. Bowing to the pressure I had to pay an amount of Rs.1111/- so that the mobile does work. The same thing goes with my wife who also received a bill amounting to Rs. 2944.39. We had to pay Rs.1111/- in order to continue the mobile service. It would be interesting to note that I had asked the vodafone (111) to stop 3G on 27/4/14 but they did not stop it and disregarded my request. They did not inform me also. My wife also requested the vodafone to stop 3G but the request was ignored. Now we are being pressurised to make full payment. I being retired government officer and a senior citizen not ready to listen to their harsh words. It may be informed that in 2013 also I had visited Malaysia/Singapore in March/April2013 and had received a highly inflated bill of more than Rs.7000/- which I had to pay as I did not know about this forum and also being a law abiding retired government officer.                     Hi, I am Satesh. I am using Vodafone postpaid since 2012. I am drafting this complaint wrt 3 complaints([protected] / [protected] / [protected]) that i had made because of poor singal. Since last month, I am facing severe drop in thesignal quality at my home located at Thirumullaivoyal, Chennai. It started with the slowness of internet coverage, later it extended to delay in SMS delivery and even drop of call abruptly. Since last 3 weeks, I am totally disappointed and frustrated with the way this signal drop is at my place. I am not at all able to locate 2g data and the SMS are getting delivered to me only once in 2-4hours. I am missing so many important calls and messages. My colleagues are complaining that they are not able to reach my number despite trying for more than 15mins continuously. They are just receiving that ‘the number is not reachable’ as the response. I am facing severe problems because of this network issue. I had raised this issue 1 week back and problem still persists. Your network support technician in the name of Kumar(mob no: [protected])contacted me and came to my place. I am yet to get any response from him. Despite calling so many times, he is neither picking my call nor returning a call back. I received all the message sent previous evening by next morning after 8’o clock only. Owing to this frustration, today, I called up the customer care team but could not get any proper response from them as well. I had written mails to all 3 complaint mail ids i got across net and no response for any of my mails. I tried calling nodal officer and all other officers but they are neither picking my call nor returning back. Can someone please work on this on priority and bring it to closure. Totally frustrated and fed up coming behind you people.

                      R/sir, mam I had purchased pre-paid sim from akola on 12-05-14 having number [protected] but still vodafone franchise /company is not able to start it. While i had provided all proper documents but still facing this problem, during this i rushed to shop from where i purchased the new sim for the same problem, he spoke with vodafone authority 4-5 times but till now number not started, there is no coverage on mobile.                             My company required 2 new postpaid connections. We called up the vodafone customer care on may 13, 2014 and they sent us their representative mr. Raj kumar on wednesday, april 14, 2014. He came and gave us 2 sim cards and we chose our numbers. We also paid rs. 500/- only as security deposit money and all the documents for the connections, receiipt no. Scce 40308. From thursday, april 15, 2014 till monday april 19, 2014 we constantly followed up but no action was taken. Thereafter, mr raj bhatia called up on tuesday, may 20, 2014 and assured us that the numbers will get activated by wednesday, may 21, 2014 but those numbers are still not working till date.

                              sir i am not a telemarketer, i usually do chat with my friends through sms only. but for the passed 2 days my out going sms was blocked by vodafone server. when i contacked the customer care they are teling me to register in trai . in trai they are asking Rs.5000 as registration fees.i swear i am not a tele marketer then whythey blocked my out going sms .i have consulted my advocate and he told me to book a complaint in online complaint.if vodafone not taking a proper action on this and solve my problem with in a day i will file a complaint legally

                                  respected sir, This is regarding activation of 3G Data Plan without my permission in respect of my Vodafone Mobile No.[protected]. On 15/04/14, i.e., on Bengali New Year’s Day ‘Poila Boisakhe’, at 7.50PM one Text Message was sent to me from VK611112. The exact message is reproduced hereafter, “POILA BOISAKHE 3G internet OFFER Only For You. 300MB 3G data at only Rs.100/month. To know & activate dial *121# NOW!!”. As stated in the said message to know the details of the offer I dialled *121# soon after on 15.4.14, but no one responded. 15th May’14 was a National Holiday and on that day I was at my residence where there is no Vodafone 3G Internet service. On 17th May’14 when I came to my office at Howrah, where there is Vodafone 3G Internet Service, the mobile internet indicator sign changed to ‘H’ from, ‘E’. I immediately contacted Vodafone Customer Care Service, and they told me that a 3G Pack has been activated on 16.4.14, and the 2G Pack has been discontinued. I was also told that the pack had been activated as per my request as I have responded to the message by dialing *121#. It was clearly mentioned in the offer message that “To know & activate dial *121#”. The phrase itself is very ambiguious. The same number to ‘know’ and to ‘activate’? The paradox in the phrase gave birth to the misunderstanding in me. But as the word ‘know’ comes first and then comes the word ‘activate’, because without knowing how can one take a decision whether to activate or not, I dialled *121#, to know about the plan, but Vodafone directly activated the plan without detailing the pos & cons of the offer to me. I requested the Customer Care Executive to immediately deactivate the 3G Pack which had been activated without my explicit permission and to activate my subscribed 2G Pack, as there was no such request from my side and I only responded to the message to know about the offer in details as was stated in the message. Soon after the 3G Pack was deactivated on 17.4.14. On receipt of the above bill I noticed with great surprise that an amount of Rs.395.50/- has been charged being 3G internet usage charge, over and above my subscribed Data Plan Charge. I have contacted The manager, Customer Service, Vodafone East Ltd, DLF IT Park, Block AF, 15th Floor, 08 Major Arterial Road, New Town, Rajarhat, Kolkata-700156, through email, detailing the fact on 15/5/14. The reply received from their end is given below: “... Dear Mr. Kar, We have received your email dated 15/05/14 for your Vodafone Mobile Number [protected]. Based on your email below, we would like to inform you that for the above number 3G plan at Rs.100 was activated on 16/04/14 as per your consent received on *121#. Hence, on activation of the 3G plan, the previous 2G plan of MI_C_V_155_30d_D1GB_MO_2G was deactivated. Again post your request at the helpline, the 3G plan was deactivated and the previous 2G plan was activated on 17/04/14. As the data plans were activated and deactivated in mid bill cycle, prorated rentals have been charged and prorated discounts have been levied accordingly. Please note that usage beyond free permissible limit is charged at 2p/10KB, downloads are charged as per content and website, while MMS is charged at Rs.3. There is no inconsistency in the charges levied and data pack activations as it was clearly mentioned in the SMS “to know & activate dial *121#”. We thus regret our inability to process any reversal towards genuine charges levied. The service registration number assigned for this correspondence is[protected]. In case you need further assistance, please do call or email us. We'll do our best to help you. Happy to help, Tanumoy Banik Contact Numbers ...” It is clear from their reply that they are not agreed to waive the 3G charge, but how can they activate a different plan in my mobile connection without my explicit permission, based on such a ambiguous message. I have sent another email to Vodafone in reply to their response above. But they have reiterated the same reply on 20-5-14. The due date for payment is 24/5/14, after which I have to pay penalty.                                     This is regarding activation of 3G Data Plan without my permission in respect of my Vodafone Mobile No.[protected]. On 15/04/14, i.e., on Bengali New Year’s Day ‘Poila Boisakhe’, at 7.50PM one Text Message was sent to me from VK611112. The exact message is reproduced hereafter, “POILA BOISAKHE 3G internet OFFER Only For You. 300MB 3G data at only Rs.100/month. To know & activate dial *121# NOW!!”. As stated in the said message to know the details of the offer I dialled *121# soon after on 15.4.14, but no one responded. 15th May’14 was a National Holiday and on that day I was at my residence where there is no Vodafone 3G Internet service. On 17th May’14 when I came to my office at Howrah, where there is Vodafone 3G Internet Service, the mobile internet indicator sign changed to ‘H’ from, ‘E’. I immediately contacted Vodafone Customer Care Service, and they told me that a 3G Pack has been activated on 16.4.14, and the 2G Pack has been discontinued. I was also told that the pack had been activated as per my request as I have responded to the message by dialing *121#. It was clearly mentioned in the offer message that “To know & activate dial *121#”. The phrase itself is very ambiguious. The same number to ‘know’ and to ‘activate’? The paradox in the phrase gave birth to the misunderstanding in me. But as the word ‘know’ comes first and then comes the word ‘activate’, because without knowing how can one take a decision whether to activate or not, I dialled *121#, to know about the plan, but Vodafone directly activated the plan without detailing the pos & cons of the offer to me. I requested the Customer Care Executive to immediately deactivate the 3G Pack which had been activated without my explicit permission and to activate my subscribed 2G Pack, as there was no such request from my side and I only responded to the message to know about the offer in details as was stated in the message. Soon after the 3G Pack was deactivated on 17.4.14. On receipt of the above bill I noticed with great surprise that an amount of Rs.395.50/- has been charged being 3G internet usage charge, over and above my subscribed Data Plan Charge. I have contacted The manager, Customer Service, Vodafone East Ltd, DLF IT Park, Block AF, 15th Floor, 08 Major Arterial Road, New Town, Rajarhat, Kolkata-700156, through email, detailing the fact on 15/5/14. The reply received from their end is given below: “... Dear Mr. Kar, We have received your email dated 15/05/14 for your Vodafone Mobile Number [protected]. Based on your email below, we would like to inform you that for the above number 3G plan at Rs.100 was activated on 16/04/14 as per your consent received on *121#. Hence, on activation of the 3G plan, the previous 2G plan of MI_C_V_155_30d_D1GB_MO_2G was deactivated. Again post your request at the helpline, the 3G plan was deactivated and the previous 2G plan was activated on 17/04/14. As the data plans were activated and deactivated in mid bill cycle, prorated rentals have been charged and prorated discounts have been levied accordingly. Please note that usage beyond free permissible limit is charged at 2p/10KB, downloads are charged as per content and website, while MMS is charged at Rs.3. There is no inconsistency in the charges levied and data pack activations as it was clearly mentioned in the SMS “to know & activate dial *121#”. We thus regret our inability to process any reversal towards genuine charges levied. The service registration number assigned for this correspondence is[protected]. Happy to help, Tanumoy Banik Contact Numbers ...” It is clear from their reply that they are not agreed to waive the 3G charge, but how can they activate a different plan in my mobile connection without my explicit permission, based on such a ambiguous message. I have sent another email to Vodafone in reply to their response above. But yet to receive any further correspondance form them.                                         Sir I Rajesh Awasthi resident of Air Force Station Agra SNCOs Mess 164/3, purchased a prepaid sim mob no [protected] on 12 may 14 from Arjuna Nagar west, Agara Vodafone mini store from Mr Soyeb a vadafone employ and he assured that sim will be activated within 48 hrs. But till today sim is not activated and he is not able to tell me that after how many days my sim will be activated. So pls do the needful else I have to knock the doors of consumer court. If Vodafone is not able to activate my sim I may be returned my money back & I will submit the sim back. Thanking you
