Hi,

I am a Vodafone user and I received a call from some Abdul Gafoor ([protected]).

He claims he is calling from Vodafone head office Mumbai and informs me that I have won a lottery worth INR 10,00,000.

He has asked me to get intouch with some Mr. Sunder Singh, Bank Manager at SBI ([protected]) to claim my prize.

While I understand this is fake, i request Vodafone to look into this and spread awareness to avoid its other customers from falling trap.

Also @Vodafone: please block these calls from your network.

    I have been cheated by Vodafone India.

    My plan for the vodafone 3G datacard number is MBB_VOL_850_30d_3G. I have purchased this SIM card from Vodafone store located at Pune. While I purchased the SIM, I was told by the staff that there is offer of additional 3GB for customers. This has also been advertised in the newspapers. So the total volume limit for the month is 6Gb. While my account showed 3Gb, I was told that the additional 3Gb will be automatically added to my data limit.

    My total usage for the previous month was ~4.5 Gb. I have been charged Rs 15000 for additional usage above 3Gb using the rate 10 paise per kb. So for the first 3Gb they charged me 850 and for the 1.5Gb additional they charged me 15000.

    Vodafone cheated me on the following points.
    1. Staff at the store gave me wrong information.
    2. Even though they set the credit limit of 5000, a bill was generated for 15000. They again lied to me that the credit is only for voice and not for data while the credit limit is clearly linked to a customer id.
    3. The data connection was disconnected without notice the day the bill was generated.

    Here is my response to them...

    I have already discussed this matter with various representatives from your esteemed organization...

    The store directed me to the call center. The call center directed me to an e-mail id. After writing email, to which I have not received any satisfactory response, I have no choice but to disconnect. The acknowledgement received specified 3 numbers...

    All those people you have staffed simply pointed me back to the Vodafone store claiming they have no details about my complaint.

    Whenever I contact the any representative, he has no knowledge of the case, complaint and I have to explain everything. He has no details in the system and he simply directs me to someone else or asks me to wait for 2 days.

    You want me to publicly quote my number here while you don't respond to open complaints in your system. My inconvenience is very painful and I will make sure that other consumers and potential customers do not have to undergo the same. I will make sure that I explain this to one such person for every single rupee you have over charged me.

    I am also a victim of vodafone customer care service
    OMG, same thing here! They set the credit limit on their own, to 15000, and now my bill is 15750! without letting me know or informing me even once my GB plan was used up totally, no sms or email that i have completed my monthly plan and now overage will be charged, and they set the limit to 15000! how to deal with this? Do I have any other choice besides just canceling this number? How does vodafone react?
    I have bought Vodafone 3g connection in Pune. The executive begged me to buy 3g and he assured me that I wont be having any problems what soever in 3G data. Its been 2 months and I am still waiting for my 3G data to show me H+ signal on my mobile. Finally I have decided to get this connection out of my mobile and get vodafone out!! The customer care executives admit on phone that yes there is some problem in 3G data but bills are always delivered on time!! This is shocking that customer care executives told me that there is no tower in my area. begged me to keep it for 2 more months and a tower is coming up!! I am getting this connection out of my mobile now. Forget about paying bills!!

    Please suggest me how to get rid of this most fraudulent telephone service!!

      This mail is in regards to the incident happened Dated 09/11/2011 ,It was very unfortunate and shame towards the customer services provided to vodafone customers.

      this started as i called to check why i have incurred roaming charges when i haven't gone out of Delhi-Ncr region, for which i have to call vodafone customer service on number 198, 5 times and after speaking with 4 people it still not been resolved,

      Also my other concern was that i have received a message from number 12320 that i have subscribed for Krishna Sloka services which i never opted for!!! wanted to check whether it a genuine message or spam!! about discussing this i haven't got much opportunities !!!

      Let me tell you how it started first time i called i have spoken too SONU PATHANGUNI ,i told him my concern -he said let me check!!! after some time he came to me and said sir i could see you haven't paid any roaming charges, you have mistaken...which also putted me in doubt as well,that whether i have checked the bill properly or not!! said call back once you check again..but i insisted to hold the line...while i started looking for my bill he said that it is your present bill generated on 03/11/11 ,it was obvious that he was looking on the bill which i haven't got till now!! i said its the bill which i already paid...he said let me check!!! and after that he has taken 2-4 minutes to open the bill and telling me yes now i could see you paid!!!

      I said you could have done it earlier!!! and after that while i was talking to him he transferred me to IVR...first i thought he putted me hold and later i realized that he has transferred me to IVR...
      Such a shame towards helping the customer!!!

      Why i am writing??? Is because i also belong to customer service background!! i know at what time what should be done and how the things should be handled!!! I never expected such kind of behavior from vodafone customer service rep who actually represents the vodafone to there customer at first point of contact. I never expected it!!

      Then i called again!! again have to wait for 4-5 minutes before getting connected to the customer!! No problems- I waited patiently!!reached to MANOJ KUMAR who got his own style towards resolving things and different view towards there manager!! i said can you tell me the name of the person whom i was talking to earlier!!he given me the name promptly which i do appreciate however when i said i want to speak to a supervisor..Manoj said: "sir apka concern kya hai???" look at the way they talk!!!And that started a fire inside my body!! i said don't you have the notes of the previous rep!! i earlier heard him whispering the notes so i was aware that he was just trying to mold me towards different things!! because i have already gone through a lot and i also want to complain about previous rep i insisted to speak to supervisor and then he said sir we don't have supervisors...we only have seniors...i said what?? he again mentioned senior!!! i said OK lets see what a senior can help me with!!

      and then manoj said" sir you have to hold at least for 5-6 minutes before connecting to a senior ,so kindly stay on hold!!! i felt like a slap on my face!!! i waited and waited and waited....call haven't got disconnected and then line got dead!!!

      Again i called back and this was the third time i have spoken to vijay thakur to whom i have requested please let me talk to a supervisor!! he did that howver again i have to wait for 5-6 minutes..call got transffrd to JEET ROY!!
      first he gain did the same mistake which the first rep did by looking on the present bill not the one i paid!! and after that he said ok let me look!!!he again taken two to three minutes of mine and said sir you have visited some parts of eastern and western U.P hence you have to pay the roaming charges...i said i haven't and then he said you did!! again i said, I Haven't and he said sir whatever you say this charge can't be reversed...i said till now i haven't asked to be reversed....he said sir investigation done i checked you went there hence you nothing cant be done..
      A shame towards the tag of supervisor!!!

      It made me feel nobody today in customer service of vodafone can actually help me!!! hence i have taken the email address to write you people!!! Now tell me m i in mistake or these guys!!!
      I want my concern should be answered and if it will not i will take it as much far as possible!!!

      I also want that strict actions should be taken against these people as not on helping the customers and for trying to avoid the work which they get paid for!!!

        Pls note that I m a Vodafone Prepaid Customer in Chennai(Prepaid Mbl No:[protected]).today morning(9am) I got messages from Vodafone that you are activated a caller tune in my number and deducted around Rs.45/- from my mobile’s account. Pls note that I didn't made any request for a caller tune. Then I spoke to your local support number ([protected]), reg. this issue and they give me a reply that, I pressed star button while talking to somebody and that’s the reason for enabling the caller tune. Even if any type of such arrangement is there in your system, it is your minimum responsibility to send a request to me for confirming weather this facility enable or not. Also pls note that suddenly my balance become minus balance. I am using this connection only for my official purposes and I don't like any type of caller tunes in my number. Also while talking to anybody, its my right to touch any key button on my handset(pls note that its not supplied by you).Also I request you to kindly avoid sending all types o[censored]nwanted messages and calls to my number(pls note the Govt order reg. this).I hereby request you to remove this caller tune from my number within 24hrs and refill the amount which you deducted from my account I thought if you stop this type of PICK POCKET Business, that will help you very much in your Business to grow.         This i am getting 3rd experience from vodafone. i called to customer care to activating std offer .. i activated std offer after 2 day's i did't get that offer but they already deduct money from my account. Again i called and ask they told u can't activate this offer because i activated another offer... k i understood then why u did't say this before activating? why did u take money from my account? ...         hi, i was using vodafone number for past 6 months suddenly today they blocked my outgoing and told it was only because of ID check and they will release it in 1 houre in morning 8.30 am after that i have made around 15 call to them still the issue is not resolved and and am not able to make calls when ever i call them they used to say 1 houre, 30 mins but nothing is happning in some time they used to discontine without hearing to me today is sunday 14/11/10 and whole of my sunday have gone fighting to them really really bad about vodafone pls some one help me as vodaonee is very happy to help me

        i am vodafone customer my no [protected], i have been using vodafone services from past years, now days this vodafone services are very bad they doesnot have proper services response they are become money minded.

        calling to customer care of vodafone services are charging Rs 1/- per 3 min this is one of bad thing they are doing no one tele operater is going to charge calling customer care this is useless one is charging.

        no one cant call unless they have problem or no customer want to make romantic talk with customer care persons.

        i am going to apply to change this service soon

          Today Morning[protected] at 8:55AM , I got missed call from [protected] ,then I reached office and check the number detail +92 code is ISD code of Pakistan,I am surprised because of I don't know any one in Pakistan,I don't know how some they people got my number.I think this is very much serious concern ,because of why Service provider people distribut numbers to (marketing /saling/pramotional )people.Pl do need full for this.
          and take serious step for this type of mistakes and wrong doing.

              Vodafone 3g usb stick comes with headache. never buy vodafone 3g usb stick. if vodafone no. [protected] (person - rahul), vodafone okhla office & vodafone gazipur or vodafone.in (online form submitting to buy vodafone 3g usb stick) makes call and offer you any product of vodafone, never buy. you’ll get headache free. they'll make any fake commitment to sell their faulty, useless and dumb 3g usb stick or products.
              I bought one vodafone usb stick on dt. 2.11.2011 by making online request on vodafone website, don't know where vodafone forwarded my query. i received a call from vodafone no.[protected], the person was calling rahul. he made all fake commitment to sell vodafone 3g usb stick (vodafone 3g usb stick no. [protected]). he said me that if you get any problem you'll get your money back in 15 days. we have strong network and 3g services. he made all fake commitment that he could make to sell this faulty vodafone 3g usb stick.
              Vodafone 3g usb stick no. [protected] activated on dt. 4.11.2011. its 3g data plan is 3g data download up to 2gb monthly. from very 1st minute of its installation, vodafone 3g usb stick is resetting again and again (disconnecting internet connection in every 2 or 3 minute). i tried to make device complaint on [protected] (this no. provided by vodafone executive – service all) on dt. 8.11.2011 at 14.09 and 14.55, but this no. was switch off.
              Vodafone 3g usb stick hardly running on 3g network always going to 2g network. switching network again and again. on 2g network its speed is very very low. i just got headche free with vodafone 3g usb stick. if vodafone no. [protected] (person - rahul), vodafone okhla office & vodafone gazipur or vodafone.in (online form submitting to buy vodafone 3g usb stick) makes call and offer you any product of vodafone, never buy. you’ll get headache free.
              From dt. 04.11.2011 to 08.11.2011 vodafone 3g usb stick resetting again and again (disconnecting internet connection every 2 or 3 mintues) approx. 120 times. i tried to contact [protected] – rahul via sms and calling the same number approx. 100 times, but failure.

                Vodaphone customer care is the worst i ever dealt with. They dont even know there job. Customer skill is very poor and when i called up your 198 no and complaint about it. that guy put me on hold for 20 mins and morover he hang up the call and didnt even log my complaint.

                I am getting the similar problem of error.. My number has been registered in Delhi.. Right now i am in jodhpur... Every minute a pop up comes stating vodafone services error.. I am not able to receive any calls... Its really tough for me and i have contacted vodafone customer care twice but in vain... Plz do the needful at the earliest...

                I am getting Vodafone service error: 0x5 on my mobile screen in every minute .
                Its quite irritating, I have already deactivate FLASH service through SMS and also in my mobile setting

                please help me

                Now i have got irritated, I have already deactivate FLASH service through SMS and also in my mobile setting .. now please tell me what will b the next step as i am planing to change the number because of this
                I have been getting this vodafone service error : 0*9 at times on my display screen . Kindly tell me what does this error means? How can I get it resolved. Whenever this error is coming the tower goes off the network showing a cross sign. I have replaced my SIM card thinking that it'll solve the issue but of no help. Please suggest asap

                  My vodafone number is registered in the name of Yashodhar Pujare i have been using this vodafone number from last 8 monthes and i have done all the payments always on time. Last monthe wen i received bill as on 25th Oct 2011 in that they have charged me Rs.54/- for 18 MMS but i know very well that i had never send even single MMS to anybody. And later i dropped an email on Corporate.[protected]@vodafone.com and then next day i received a call from Rajesh Bhagwania and he told me that those charges are correct and when i asked him to give me details of those MMS on which number i have send as per their record very arrogantly he denied me to give details and told me further he can't help any more on this and directly disconnected call. I know very well that i had not send any MMS to anybody these charges are fake and that's the reason they don't have any details so they are denying to give me details.

                  Vodafone is good in service of moblie but the billing procedeure and delivery of bill service is very pathatic.
                  My mobile is charged everymonth even though my mobile is in safe custody. everytime they are expecting to send an email for any clarrifications.                     This is Naresh and my mobile no is [protected]. This is regarding complaint against Vodafone customer care. I really screwed up with the vodafone customer service and i lost nearly Rs300/- around but no regret or not even trying to have the nature of helping to the customers. I have never seen such disgusting service ever
                    Supervisors are trying to escape of escalation and giving wrong commitment to the customer's on callback which they never do.No product knowledge over the process. Especially i hav spoken to two supervisors i.e Mr. Madhu and Mr. Hari are not suitable to work in the customer service.
                    I am using Blackberry 9780 model with Rs100/- plan for 7 days. The day i start using this service i lost around Rs300/- for which no one helped me. Moreover web sites are giving wrong information( Ex: Rs115/- which is showing 115 full Talk time no bonus TT, but when we callup customer care only we came to know it is Bonus TT). Pls find attached the screen shot for your reference
                    There are lot more complaints we are getting in Vodafone, If my issues are not getting resolved means there is no way o[censored]sing and loosing our money here. Pls take necessary action on this and if you revert on this issue with remarks i would be very happy, if not definately u may losse some valueble customers

                      I am connected with vodafone mobile service, abruptly I was unable to make calls, for the same I called vodafone customer care, they said that it would be due to incomplete document submission, for which, I was shocked, because, I double checked the documents, while submission, I submitted my passport, which is a proof of identity and the address as well, I made sure with the representative at the vodafone himayathnagar stores. As it was not solved over the phone, I have been to the vodafone stores, himayathnagar, personally, and they told that it is due to the signature mismatch, for which I was given a form again, and was told to fill in the details, I was given a time of 48 hours, I have been waiting for that time, but still it is not resolved, I have a balance of about 250/- prepaid on my sim, please see that my issue is resolved, and I can get back to the phone service normally.

                        Myself, arpan jindal, residing in pune, maharashtra. i am user of vodafone service, postpaid no. [protected]

                        I have sent a request for gprs activation through sms as per the guidelines given on the website for postpaid customers.

                        And i have received a confirmation sms through sms for activation within 24 hours.

                        After 24 hours when i used gprs service, my outstanding reached around rs. 3500/-.

                        I am compalint in this regard through email and regularly taking the follow-up via email, visiting vodafone store & calling customer care. but they refused that i have not sent any kind of request for gprs activation on such date, even after showed the sms to them on vodafone store.

                        There are two facts that :

                        1. when i have sent a request for gprs activation through sms, as per the guidelines given on your website, and the service is not activated is not my fault.

                        2. when my credit limit is only rs.1000/- then how the outstanding crossed rs.3500/-.


                        Pls register my complaint against vodafone, maharashtra and do needful to re-imburse my amount.

                              My Vodafone no. is [protected] and i am using this with blackberry.For the Blackberry services i have been paying 399/month as rental.But, as i feel i have become the golden duck for Vodafone as they are continuously deducting balance from my account(like .10 paisa,.30 paisa),which i have noticed from October.Once also Rs. 71 was deducted from my account in the same month.

                              The situation becomes more frustrating when those technically unfit customer care representative comments that i was been charged for receiving mails and sending as well,and also promises to transfer the call to his senior which is the biggest joke at the moment.Now after that if you are going to call you'll find your number has been blocked.

                              So,in this regard kindly suggest what are we going to do.There are so many questions bubbling and you'll find none eventually to satisfy.I would request your concerned organization to take a call on this and treat them the way they deserve to be to at least put a brake on this everyday theft.

                              I guess i am not the first one complaining,you had so many.So,the time has come to take the necessary steps to prevent all these kinds o[censored]nethical income.

                              Vodafone — continuous balance deduction

                              Hi,

                              I have already complain regarding my balance deduction but no one action has taken against my complaint after that two time more they charged me with out my information. They cheat me. They simply reply this is bcos of your consent. I am saying there is not my consent.Vodafone is a realy fraud complay. I am with more than 7 year with vodafone but this time i cant say regarding vodafone fraund.

                                I have a prepaid mobile connection from your esteem company, bearing the number [protected] and for this same number I tried to get the internet connection in my phone (NOKIA C2-03) by putting the monthly pack of Rs.98 (2nd Nov. 2011, at about 9 pm) and called your customer helpline number 198 where I was said to send 'ACT VL' to 144 & also I was sent the GPRS settings to be saved in my phone & was said to switch off the phone, which I did but even after 24 hours of doing that I was unable to connect my phone through GPRS for which I have called your consumer helpline number 198 again & explained the fact & I was then advised to bring out the SIM card & put it again in the phone & I did that accordingly to get no any positive result. I had a very good impression about Vodafone Essar before this experience & for that very reason I have even done MNP (Mobile Number Portability) from Reliance Telecom and as I assumed myself about your company which has high technical & network grip, it gives me utmost setback for the pitiable failure from your network to get a consumer his/her GPRS connectivity after 3 days of persistence.

                                My next grievance is about your helpline number for GPRS (198). Previously, when I used to call this number for GPRS connectivity then I was told to press '2' to connect to customer executive to convey the problem. But since yesterday when I am trying to connect to your customer care personnel after pressing '2' I get the message from the IVR like this- " SORRY, WE ARE UNABLE TO PROCESS YOUR REQUEST". Till the time I was writing to you this long essay the situation is same here. So, where shall I go now to tell my problem/grievance? Sir, does your esteem company block a consumer from getting the customer care line when his/her problem is not solved & he/she is thought of doing too much calls for the same unsolved problem? Also, I have got one call from [protected] of your company while I was writing this to you telling me that my problem will be resolved soon.

                                I, hereby round up my explanation thanking you overwhelmingly to waste your valuable time to go through this unwanted lines of a consumer from Assam & I think that my net connection & my pack of Rs.98 have gone in vain. Hope, you may intervene into the matter as its a matter of reputatin of a popular company all over India. May be, I am a single consumer for you now but others may follow when they will try GPRS connection from Vodafone. I wish all the good & prosperous & advanced future of Vodafone.

                                      I had blocked my number 2 yrs back. and strtd using a new no from another service provider.but recently i found out that the blocked number had been given by vodafone to another person. i missed to give my new number to few of my contacts. so they are contactinng to that number thinking its still with me. this is providing me lot of inconvenience. is it allowed by law to give already taken number to another person? and now the other person may misuse my contacts contacting him. give me a solution.

                                        i dr.kavita sheth with vodafone mob no.[protected] wanted to change the mobile service provider from vodafone to aircel.after repeated complaints this has not taken place. i would like to disconnect the services under the mobile portability scheme of trai. vodafone is rejecting everytime saying u are under scheme which we have never asked for. all the outstanings are paid but still no action has taken.

                                        I am using Vodafone number [protected]. From starting itself, I am not receiving bills at addresses given to Vodafone executives many times.
                                        However, I am getting regular calls for paying an amount for montly bill. How can I validate the amount without bills?
                                        On contacting Vodafone customer care, they agree to send duplicate bill and insist on paying payment within 24 hours.
                                        They have disconnected my outgoing. I have written similar complaints earlier also, but no impact on companies like these.
                                        Now, I am not able to communicate important information to my customers.
                                        This is intentionally done. They want customer to go for ECS (Electronic clearing scheme), where they get amount deducted from credit card/ bank automatically. The client, one avails ECS, keeps waiting for bills, which is never recived normally and can not validate the amount.
                                        TRAI has to release a policy, where, customer receives bill copy every month, on time and without acknowledgement of receipt EC can not be executed.
                                        VODAFONE, Customer care is worst in India. It does not sounds like a professional MNC company.

                                        Have been a customer of Vodafone for the last one year, and in spite of paying a cheque payment, my phone connection was discontinued. To add to that, I went to their outlet and put in cash again and was told that the services would be restored within 2 hours and I am still waiting. Then, I got a message saying that an extra 143 has to be paid. I am lost for words.

                                        The customer service is horrible and there are a bunch of jokers sitting there. I regret the day I took their connection and wish to convey others not to do so. I would also request Vodafone to change their slogan to "HAPPY TO HARASS TO MAXIMUM."
                                        Over the past many weeks I have been at the receiving end of what you would call your “happy to help” service. This email I hope will bring to light, my inconvenience as a customer and a redress to a long pending issue.

                                        The issue as it stands is that my Vodafone number has been deactivated by you due to non-payment of bill. I had made staggered payments as per my 8 year history with your company all I had to do was give you guys a call to inform that I have paid and you’d restore it soon after.

                                        This is where the harassment starts.
                                        • Since you have disconnected my line I can’t contact your team through my registered number.
                                        • I have tried to reach you via alternative Vodafone numbers [prepaid] but your infrastructure and logistics lacks the bandwidth to transfer a call from prepaid to postpaid.
                                        • I have tried to reach you via landline numbers but the IVR asks for an MPIN [if you are a registered user with “my Vodafone” you may enter the same number – is the IVR verbiage.. well I don’t have an MPIN [that’s the next story]. Now what?
                                        • Your website gives no information on one’s billing details unless they are “registered.” When I try to register, it asks me to “sign up”???

                                        So all in all, you have disconnected my number, I have paid as per norms, now I can’t reach your team to inform that the service needs to be activated. In the first place, I am sure you have software’s that should tell you that a number needs to be popped back in, but I guess your IT standards are evident in the channels of communication open to your customers.
                                        In the process, here’s what’s in for you, you get to charge me extra interest on the unsettled amount by the day/month so that leaves me more in debt to your organization.

                                        Through my experience, I have come to believe that your company displays poor work ethics and codes of conduct and that doesn’t stand in the market in the face of competition. So, please send me a copy of my outstanding bill, re-activate my line and I assure you a speedy change of service providers as soon as I settle the bill, post receipt of the same.

                                        Lats 15 days I am chasing with the Vodafone Executive for my Out going service as these people are saying I have not made the payment the smae was made 10 sep through net banking and have the mesg for the same.

                                        Customer service executive are very useless are saying that they will start the services in next two hrs but nothing is happing.

                                        I have post paid plan of Rs 199 and plus I apying 300 rs for my Black Berrry becse of my outgoing services are stuck unnessary I ll pay this amount to Vodafone. as they are charging for customer care calls also they used to pit the call on hol.

                                        Dear Concern I ported My no. [protected] from Aircel to Vodafone Prepaid used it for almost 2 yrs then I decided to make it postpaid, a week everything was fine 1 day I got the message your no. is been discontinued due to your earlier bill of another 2 no.s is pending pay it to continue the service on your current no. I dial 111 didnt get any responce then 198 same here not in service then I reached to Vodafone store to make an complaint, customer care executive said we apologies [protected] and [protected] doesnt belongs to you it is bymistakenly registered in your name we will rectify within 48 hrs, I again visit after 3 Days on Vodafone Store Mahipalpur then she said give us 12 hrs, I again visited she said both no. are registered in your name you have to pay the bills I said ok fine I'll pay the bills please give the Bill I'll pay now the turning point comes she said we are unable to provide you bills and untill unless you pay the bills we will not activate you current no. [protected], I again ask that lady dear atleast activate my no. I'll pay your bills but my no. is not working from last week you can send me bills with your sales or collectings agency at my office i'll pay, or you can give no. of your area sales head i'll talk to him she gave me Name and designation but she said I cannot provide you no., then I said that lady dear you have left no other option for me, I'll go for Consumer Court she said wherever you can go your no. will not be activate until unless you pay the earlier bills and again I stuck in argument of Bill copy she said We cannot provide you bill copy.
