Dear team,

I purchased two acs from neha electronics noida for voltas company. They said, company is running with complete warranty of 5 years.

When i wrote customer care people for confirmation of warranty:

Dear sir/madam,

We have registered already your product. Your customer id number is [protected]. For future references, please provide the customer id or your registered contact number.

When i called customer care again yesterday for service booking, they said...They have no records for this.

When i wrote this to customer care again: they wrote me a mail with terms and conditions:

Dear sir/madam,

Thank you for contacting voltas.

Terms & conditions of extended 5 year's warranty are :-

1) applicable for all functional parts for repairs or replacements except plastic parts like grill, louvers. Etc, of the air conditioner for a period of 60 months from the date of purchase,

2) from 2nd year till 5th year, all labor (Service)charges including gas charging charges are applicable as per standard cost

3) the extended warranty will be void in case the air conditioner is

A) improperly installed by third party, repaired by unauthorized personnel, modified, improper usage, or due to faulty electric supply/connection.
B) damage is caused by accident, fire or misuse; or
C) the original serial numbers are removed, obliterated or altered from the air conditioner.

I am amazed, how they sold product with wrong confirmation with complete 5 year warranty and comeup with terms and conditions after 1 year.

This is serious issue...I just want you to take action against these companies. It is rediculous.

      I have bought 3 ACs online and waited for 3 weeks for installation. Finally when I called your customer care I was allotted a request no;:[protected]. I have been getting calls from different people talking rudely and asking for the address, whereas I had taken lot of effort in explaining my address while registering the request.
      Your installation team guys are shouting at me that they have not been given the address but only my phone no. Is this your way to deal with your customers or you have bad quality team handling your customer care and support work. Or, you have outsourced these activities to some cheap agency to save money?
      They were threatening to not deliver the installation service.

      Yesterday some guys came and installed the machines but they have ruined my walls while installing these ACs. I have never seen such bad quality workmanship. Is this the way Voltas works? I was told by them that they are not from Voltas. I owuld like someone from Voltas to come and see the condition of my walls.

        I purchased a voltas ac on 22.03.16 from krishna agencies, thiruvallur.
        The installation person visited my home on 23.03.16 after making me wait for good six hours (Ind ac services thiruvallur -602001)..
        I am very upset with the way he behaved and particularly with the way he commanded a customer..
        He all of sudden asked for photocopy of the bill and say i won't get warranty when i fail to give photo copy..
        Overall i fell bad for choosing volatas because for your installer...

        I am a tata loyalist, my loyality towards your brand is trashed...

          This complaint is against Voltas AC. I have two ACs one split and one window. Votlas people came for service of my ACs at my home and charged extra. They even harassed and demanded extra money. The engineers were untrained and looked like local people. They were some agency people hired by Voltas Ltd.

            Most horrible service. They make sure that we always have the gas been refilled. I had taken the refill of the gas last year in june. Then from july it stopped working then i had to go out of country came back and found these service guys have purposely left the gas leaking so that it will get over again and then they will come and charge back

                I have a Voltas 2 ton, 5 star rated split AC, bought from Srinivasa Enterprises, Hyderabad in june 2014.

                Since the time of purchase I have faced several issues with the unit. First the contactor was fried thee times. After that there was a problem with the drain pipe. Finally, the AC had started making a loud noise after running for a few hours, making it impossible for anyone to sleep in the room. After making several compaints Voltas decided to replace the indoor unit in August 2015 which was of no use. Then a senior technician named Jagadish ([protected]) visited and said there was a problem with the installation and redid the entire installation but again the problem started in feb 2016. Note that the AC was rarely used from Sept-Jan. After several follow ups again Jagadish visited and said that a sensor had to be replaced as it is defective. His visit was on feb 28th 2016 and since then after calling him everyday also he doesnt show up. According to him the responsibility is of Tempcon Services ([protected]). They also are so busy that they do not have time to answer my calls. Between all this, I was connected to Jaiprakash ([protected]) by Srinivasa guys who is the manager of service at Voltas, who has sent Jagadish the first time. When the second time the noise problem arose, even he has stopped answering my calls and responding to any texts.

                After having used split and window ACs of almost all the leading brands, I wanted to give the TATA company a chance only to realize that they indeed are the worst. I will never recommend any Voltas product to anyone ever again as this one product has made me lose faith in the whole TATA brand itself. Not only are we customers paying for aub standard products but also for a serive which does not exist.

                If Voltas does read this then please look into refunding my money back and taking back your product.

                  Because my 75% of family members are working with Tata, Tata Chemicals Ltd to be precise, I thought to purchase a product of Tata and not anything else.
                  This idea was not because I wanted to avail additional employee discount, but because of the trust which was developed with Tata in this many years.

                  I bought Tata Voltas AC 1.5 T from Flipkart, and since day one I am facing some or other problem. Installation of AC was pain, following up with the installation team was the worst ever experience. After that, water leakage started, and every-time the technician comes after minimum 5-6 follow ups, and he comes to my home and opens the AC Unit, gives a look at it and claims that it is resolved. And they will suggest us to keep the AC ON for whole night, and let us know. Before we could even test it, I will always get a message that the problem is resolved.

                  Now the problem has reached to next level, ice pieces have started falling out of the winges. And they directly fall on my TV.

                  Below are the SR numbers.

                  SR # 1 : [protected] Dated : 21-May-2015
                  Description : I have called up CC, to register my product because at that time their website was down. Till date I was relaxed and under the impression that my product is registered. But then at time of raising today's complain, I came to know that my product was never registered and the person who had taken this request; has mentioned in the description that this call was for Product inquiry.
                  Feeling so much disgusted by knowing this.

                  SR # 2 : [protected] Dated : 09-Dec-2015
                  Description : Raised the water leakage problem, after struggling to get in touch with Customer Care and the technician; they came to my home. Took a look, like an expert at the product. And claimed that the problem is solved. We trusted them. And the problem was still there.
                  Mistake I did : Instead of again raising/reopening the complain, I directly called the technician and tried following up for a month. And then I gave up.

                  SR # 3 : [protected] Dated : 01-Mar-2016
                  Description : After the previous complain, we had almost forgot that we have an AC in our home. Then suddenly we again started the AC, and the problem was still there. And so we raised the complain again.Request which was raised on 01-Mar-2016, the technician came to my home on 11-Mar-2016. Does it really take this long for a person to take a visit ?
                  This time there was different set of people, they said that the product which you purchased is wrong product. You should have never purchased this. I was like WTF ?
                  And on the other side, they did took a look at the product, did some type of servicing and claimed the problem to be resolved.
                  As part of this SR, I had clearly asked the CC representative to make a comment, that I want the replacement and that I am demanding for a new AC. To my surprise, there wasn't any such comment added by the CC representative.

                  SR # 4 : [protected] Dated : 13-Mar-2016
                  Description : So now I have again raised the complain because today ice pieces are falling from my AC Cabinet. And it is high time that I have been patient. Now I don't wanna hear anything and simply need a replacement of my AC.

                    I Had purchased window About 185DY from Vijay Sales GhodBandar Road on 18th Oct 2015. Requested for first Free service due within 6 months on 23rd Feb 2016. Technician visited immediately. PCB fault found. PCB is to be Changed. Technicians again visited my place But with the PCB was of some other model. There after till now even after continuous complaint No response from your Service center for last 15 Days. Please look into the matter and resolve the issue as early as possible

                        I purchased Voltas Vertis Elite S AC from Jaisons dealer Salem 7.on 31/03/10.
                        Since then i am facing lot of problem with this AC. This AC is running with more noise. Within a period of 10 months the coil sensor failed. It was replaced.then 14th month outdoor unit blade got broken..It was replaced with a defective one. Again the blade was replaced with a new one.
                        Again the blade got broken on 1/9/15. This was replaced on 04/9/15 for Rs.900. The said blade got broken again on 9/3/16 a short period of six month. I have complained to the service personnel. But they replace the blade only every time without analyzing the root cause. This company has cheated us by selling a defective Ac. I am fed up with performance of this AC

                          I purchased voltas AC from snapdeal on October 2015 and used only twice, till now. First it worked well but now we have a problem with cooling. So, I called voltas customer care and launched a complaint on 23rd FEB, 2016. They said issue will be resolved with in 24 hours but week passed no response from their side. So, I called them and made one more complaint but no one came to fix it. It's almost 4 weeks from the initial complaint still no response from their side. When ever I call them they are giving the same response your complaint is given high priority and will be resolved in next 24 hours still it's not fixed.

                            Hi,

                            I have logged a service request and Complaint for Voltas AC ( 183cya 1.5 ton, window AC ), request no : [protected], Dated : 25 feb 2016.

                            It's been more than 10 days there is no proper resolution being provided .

                            Executive have visited twice after 5 calls to customer care and detected issue was with PCB ( sensor) and had taken the sensor (PCB) and remote for the repair and it's being 7 days the condition of PCB is still the same.

                            Today they have came up with repaired PCB ( sensor ) however it didn't work.

                            Again they said it will take at-least of 3-4 more days to fix it.


                            I am not understanding that Voltas don't have any trained technician or service staff to provide after sale services ?

                            It's being pathetic experience till now with VOLTAS as it's just 9 months of buying a new AC and it's quality not up-to the mark. ( PCB not working, sensor issue, poor after sale service )


                            Please provide the proper acknowledgment and treat this request/complain on High Priority.
                            And if it's not getting repaired than please make a replacement of new PCB so that issue won't occur again.

                                Dear Sir, I have purchased the above machine from your dealer, M/S. Khosla Electronic, Barrackpore in West Bengal. Model No.SAC123EY-R, Sl.no.4511860D15J000825 vied invoice no.5424/1516/10286 Dt.21.02.2016.
                                also I get a free gift cupon no114. from your dealer where indicated Free Wall mounting and free standard Installation.
                                After that, your one of service provider M/S. Rachana Electronic, Add.- Pansila, Sodepur, Kolkata. Ph.[protected] come in my house on 25.02.2016 to installed the machine, but they have demand Rs.800/- for your wall mounting (product code[protected] either Rs.600/- for installation.
                                I cannot accept their suggestion and regret to pay execs amount.
                                Unfortunately the machine is still uninstalled.
                                In case you are not in a position to supply this mounting stand free of cost, please treat my order as canceled & arrange to refund the payment.

                                      3 weeks before I have purchased a 1.5 tonn split ac 185CY in paytm which has a unit warranty for 1yr and 4 yr warranty on compressor. Though i have taken a paid installation service from voltas( req no: [protected]) as technician did not do proper installation. All the gas got leaked out and the machine started giving trouble. If we would have noticed it at earliest we would have faced a huge damage to the product.

                                      I have loagged couple of complaint by calling on voltas customer care number and even with multiple follows on a daily basis my issue is still not addressed.

                                      Being a tata group employee I am totally disappointed with the service provided by Volta's and in fact feeling regrad for choosing the product based in brand name.

                                      When I call the local Volta's customer service center, to my surprise they were refusing to provide the warranty service thought the issue was occurred due to wrong installation. In fact they are asking us to pay additional amount for visiting my home to check on issue.

                                      I tried all known ways to highlighting my issue. If its not going to workout Last option left would be approaching consumer court.

                                        I purchased a voltas chest freezer 500 Lts on May 2014. The freezer broke down on Feb 2015 and voltas replaced the compressor at free of cost in warranty.. Again the machine broke down on Jan 2016 due to compressor.. We have stabiliser and used for domestic purpose in our home.. Now voltas required 10000 rupees to replace the compressor.. On average the compressor didn't last for even one year.. Kindly request to take necessary action .. Attached the bill copy and replacement copy for reference ..
