Dear Sir,

I want to draw your attention in this matter related to Airtel digital TV. I arup sarkar consumer no.[protected] holding this connection. Earlier I was charging a monthly rental of rs.170. without my concern they increase my rental fee to rs 200 per month.and they change the extra pack for which I was paying around rs 30 per month(kids channel) but they did not cut the rental.
As a result for only one channel i.e. Disney XD,I was paying rs 30.whereas that channel alone monthly rental is about rs 11.
recently I add another pack of English movies which consist of two channel but only one has activated so far.I tried to contact the customer care but they told to mail the same to them. I have mail thrice but still I did not get any reply from them neither my issue has been solved by them.

    Hi,
    This is with reference to Airtel Digital TV. My Customer id is [protected]. From last 1 year i am getting error code - SM2 which is related to satellite migration. First time I encountered this error in the month of October 2011. I call customer care and they refreshed my account and logged a complaint No. 12605722 dated 11 oct 2011 for migration to new satellite.
    1 or 2 days after I received a call about the migration to new satellite issue and told me that executive will be come to my house till this time(mentioned some time). After that I didn't receive any call and no one visted my house and complaint was closed without any action/resolution.


    After 1 or 2 month I encountered same issue and I call customer care and they refreshed my account and logged a complaint No. 15022413 dated 29 Dec 2012 for migration to new satellite.
    Same process now, 1 or 2 days after I received a call about the migration to new satellite issue and told me that executive will be come to my house till this time(mentioned some time). After that I didn't receive any call and no one visted my house and complaint was closed without any action/resolution.

    After this it worked fine for 9-10 months. Again on 20 Oct 2012, I encountered same issue, I call customer care and they logged a new complaint for migration to new satellite (Complaint No[protected]. This time customer care executive was helpless in even refreshing my account and told me that their all channels are now on new satellite only. Earlier some were on old satellite and others were on new satellite so they were able to refresh my account. This time I even didn't receive any call from any executive and complaint was closed without any action/resolution with a comment that "problem is resolved on phone".

    Above process repeated on 29 Oct 2012 (Complaint No[protected], no action was taken and complaint was closed with comments that "problem is resolved on phone".

    Same process repeated on 2 Nov 2012 (Complaint No[protected], no action was taken and complaint was closed without any action.
    Same process repeated on 13 Nov 2012 (Complaint No[protected], I received call from executive that someone will visit my place. After that no action was taken and complaint was closed with comments "Migration is already done, User is misguiding".

    I again call customer care on 15 Nov 2012 and a complaint[protected] for wrong resolution was raised. Today (16 Nov 2012), I received a call stating that he is a local dealer from my area and he has got a call from Airtel Area branch office that please resolve this issue and CUSTOMER WILL PAY RS 200 FOR THIS TO HIM. At the time of writing this complaint my last complaint dated 15 Nov 2012 is still open.

    I want to know is this the type of service user is seeking from a so call brand name "Airtel".
    Please have a look on the issue and resolve it as soon as possible otherwise I am no more left with any option to discontinue my another connection (Customer Id : [protected]) as well and aware people to be far away from Airtel DTH.

    i have call to airtel digital tv for migresion of satelite that was one time free sarvice but company engginiar tolled me its not a free service

      I susmitha having using airtel no: [protected] and on 15th morning i have a balance of Rs.299/- and before that i have have activated Rs.98/- for data using but on 15th on my mobile the balance is deducting auotmatically and by end of day it was at Rs.188 i dont know why the balance is deducting automatically with out notice and even i didnt register for any services but Rs.30 has been deducted and when i call to cutomer care they have refunded back it and later i was talking for the rest of amount also they are telling me you have used data and disconnecting the call. I wanted to know that when i recharged with Rs.98/- for data activation again why the amount is deducting and i want the amount to be refund back asap. I was shocked such a big network is doing like this cheap things to get money and bluffing the customers by deducting money with out activation and it clearly shows the mistake is from your side and refunded back only Rs.30/-. So please verify and refund me amount asap and you can call me up on my number or [protected].

        I have been using airtel for more than a year now.When i first bought my airtel SIM it had plan in which every call would be billed per second and there would be 100 SMS free after first 3 SMS.These first 3 SMS would be charged at 50 ps per SMS.Now during this diwali there was blackout on SMS as always so I was charged 1 Rs per SMS but since then on later days the SMS was chargeable at 1 Rs per SMS and moreover i couldnt even send any free SMSes.I called up airtel on 15th Nov 2012 to tell them that my SMS was being charged at 1 Rs,the executive told me that your problem would be solved and all money would be reimbursed to your account.The charging of SMS at Rs 1 continued and i called airtel customer care(121) on the following day and I was shocked when they told that there are no free SMS facilities on your number since your card is not a FRIENDS card.I argued that I always used to get 100 SMS free after initial 3 SMS but then the guy kept me on hold and never answered.Later I again called them and a girl recevied and she had to say something similar and should assured me that she would tranfer my call to her supervisor but then she put me on hold till 7 mins and I had to cutoff since now a days they charge us even for calling customer care numbers.I really find myself helpless and need some assistance on how to deal with these people.I have recorded the second customer care call.Please Help

        AirTel — charging of messages

        sir,
        i have an airtel connection with a plan that gives me 500 messages free( national/local). in my december 2010 -january 2011 bill i was charged for these messages. when i talked to the representative i was told that on black days the messages are charged. but when i took the plan i was never told about these black days and neither did they send me any message of these telling me that if i send the messages on these days i will be charged the money. i have not paid the outstanding amount till date. now my outgoing services have been withdrawn. i am facing a lot of inconveneience from this company and my daily working has suffered due to which i am unable to concentrate on my work.

          Hi,

          I went to airtel showroom chromepet last week Saturday (10/11/2012) and paid my postpaid bill. They said since there is no power , they will update in the system by evening and i will get the message for payment by night. But till now they have not updated the payment and i had not received any message for the payment that i had done. This is the worst showroom i have ever seen so far. It is been a week and they have not updated my payment.

          Worst showroom in Chennai , as they even don't have any contact number.

                Respected Sir , With due respect I beg to state that My Airtel Mobile No-[protected]. I recharged Rs 54/ on 01/11/2012 for1paisa/ 2sec call charge.But it had been activated after 7 days, it worked for 2 days but after 2days the benefit stopped. The call charge has been charged abnormally,and it is doing abnormally till now.I have made complains many times to the said company's customer care,but there is no result.
                You are requested to investigate the matter and take necessary action as early as possible .

                  I have subscribed for Airtel DTH Services's 12 month package named Economy Sports 4 HD amounting to Rs. 3745. The time duration is from 14th Aug. 2012 to 14th Sept 2013. When I took this package, all sports were coming,but from today onwards they have stopped broadcasting all sports channels. When contacted Airtel Customer Care they told me that the company have revised their package and now extra charges should be paid to view these channels. When I took this package no terms and conditions were shown or discussed with me and now they are telling that they have send messages to all customers. I have not received any message from airtel. And why should I pay them extra money when I have taken yearly Subscription.

                  Yes, this is the main problem..Everybody is subscribed heavily to so and so packages and left with no scope for a change for fear of losing money. Nothing can be sure. Here, most of the people are above the Rs250 / month pack and we are getting the basic channels plus some unwanted channels.
                  I am subscribed to South economy Sports pack and from today Im getting only ten sports channels & DD sports plus one new sports channel Trace..nothing else in sports. Then in addition to that I dont have any English Movie channels also, but still they are debiting my account with Rs 10.31, thats more than Rs 300 / month. But there is a little hope that i could change the service provider since i pay for only 1 month at a time, whatever be the offer.
                  Even I have same issue.
                  I'm also facing the same issue. There was no notification from Airtel on this, no SMS, no calls. I dont understand how they can suddenly change the package that they have taken and without notice. I'm trying to call customer service, but lines are busy. They keep calling you for feedback, and keep sneding messages for various reaons, but it comes to increasing prices or changing packages, no news. Awesome customer service.

                    I have not subscribe to BOLLYWOOD MMS service of airtel. But airtel give me a message 3:30pm today, that BOLLYWOOD MMS service is active in your mobile at Rs2/day. They gave a number *121*5# to manage this service. But when I dial, it gave a massage, "Press Exit for main Menu". This how airtel fool its subscribers. If they fool 1cr people they an Rs 2cr rupees. Please take necessary action against these people. I think many people are victim of such offers. Why should I give Rs 2/day to these cheaters. Lets give complain in large scale such that they stop doing cheating.

                      I am an Airtel Digital TV customer for more than 3 years and was having South Super Value Sports package. 2 months back, with informing me, Airtel changed my package to another package which resulted in many channels being removed from my package. When I contacted the customer care, they simply asked my to switch the package to another one, so I was forced to pick a more expensive pkg South Economy Sports, which had ESPN, Star Sports, Star Cricket channels. Now, within 2 months, again they have removed these channels (without reducing the rate of the package) and now I am being asked to change to Mega pack(the most expensive of the lot) to get these channels or opt for a top-up for Rs. 50. Airtel has failed to deliver even the basic promise of service, and their redressal mechanism is the most terrible with the highest disregard for the customer concerns.

                        Cheating experience from Airtel Digital TV and Pathetic customer service(CSC) from Airtel. My customer ID ends with 196. I was in south value pack and seen an interesting offer in their log in that if subscribed annually I'd get for 1700/- and odd the south sports economy pack. Once I recharged and tried to change the plan it didn't happen. Afterwards when I called the CSC they told the plan has got changed but not updated in website. If that was the reason the recharge also shouldn't have got happened. They make sure to recharge with some offer but when you try to subscribe to the plan they change the offer. Looks that is not enough for them. Their CSC is pathetic, You will never be able to reach them as either it won't reach or after waiting for 20-30mins they will cut the call if you are asking some basic queries like why the channel is not coming. In my case the annual subscription mentioned I'd get all sports channels till 14th November I was getting star cricket, espn star sports. Today they have stopped all of them inspite I am in an annual subscription. When I asked CSC they say the company has stopped from yesterday. My sincere request to all who read this is, please don't ever subscribe Airtel digital TV and it will be like you are buying for a cost a can of issues.

                        I agree. Just got my Airtel hd+ connection. First of all the installation was not upto my satisfaction.
                        Then csk. Believe they are the worst. They are just but threads.

                          I have subscribed for Economy pack with sports channel like ESPN, Star Sports, Star Cricket. These all channels are stopped to telecast without any prior information/notice in written.

                          While approached to customer care number. IVR is straightaway asking for add up separate package worth Rs. 50 for these channels.

                            Airtel Customer service has been getting pathetic day by day.. The calls for so called "Platinum customer" is kept on hold for not less than 20 mins. I have been getting missed calls from the welcome dept (Rep - Prakash) at randoms hours and on complaining the Executive (name of the rep : Shabnam) tells to register a police complain instead of noting a complain to take action against the employee. On asking for escalation the rep disconnects the calls..Disgusting..hmpf

                            - Is this what they call customer service??
                            - Are the customer valued??

                              Hi,

                              i m from chennai, since today morning they have removed the ess channels from ADTV. I have specifically selected super value pack(RS.209+25 OTHER ADDON CHANNELS) for these sports channels.. This is very unfair especially when Indian cricket season starts from today.They are forcing us to buy an 50rs addon ess channels.I think its time to change the digital operator........

                                Channels are not been shown as per the package

                                Till yesterday night Star Cricket was shown by Airtel Digitel TV with a pacakge Super value advance pack of Rs. 275. per month. Surprisingly today morning without any notice Airtel Digitel TV has removed Star Cricket, Star Sports and ESPN channels from said package. Instead of that Airtel has added 233 and 234 new channels of no use.

                                On customer care we were responded after 3 hous that this is company policy that without informing...

                                I made a complaint regarding price hike without prior intimation and signal loss resulting only limited channels to view about 1 and a half month back approx in Aitrel Digital TV customer care however no resolution has been provided yet and the problem is still there. After making no. of complaints to customer care and their nodal office only the assurance was provided but nothing has been done yet. I found Airtel digital service the most pathetic service in the market and most inefficient management I have seen ever. Worthless customer service with no proper knowledge and customer handling skills. For last 4-5 days we are unable to view a single channel, inspite of making no. of complaints nobody bothered to rectify the problem. We are deprived of watching TV which is the only entertainment source and my daughter asks me everybody about it. I am really disappointed, annoyed and frustrated with Airtel services their management and staff.

                                  India top and most pathetic and worst telecom srvice provider is AIRTEL it is in all aspects they cover everything in being bad the most pathetic customer serivce and worst attitude of the customer service personnel, the network is bad always and everywhere, calls keep droping.                                   l issues they have billing issues too they show some thing else when we sign up for the plan but the truth is they change as they wish, the call rates are totally different from what we are shown and what we get in our bills, they are really bad guys who dupe people. No one should be encouraged to use airtel, I will honestly cherish the moment this company drowns. I will never wish this company anything good. Their customer service people have actually harrased me badly. Since we dont have easy access to any lawyer they think they can do anything they want. How do we free of cost put a legal case against such stupid and worst companies. The biggest case was even when i had cancelled my number 6 months ago by even talking to their call centre people and writing official emails they kept generating bills with rental plans of Rs 599 per month and for 6 months they dragged this issue and never actaully cancelled the number and finally when i did not pay the rental amount they sent a legal notice, what the [censored] i have cancelled this number but still they generated the bills and dragged the issue for 6 months and then made me pay by sending legal notcies such is the bad practice of airtel. also behold this plan of Rs 599 monthly rental also was not choosen by me but these people automatically updated this plan on my number even without telling me such worst attitude of these companies. For the money they have looted from me they will suffer badly and trust me such type of attitude will bring this company down very soon
                                  I have a Postpaid connection. I have been facing Network trouble since past 2 years. Everytime I make a complain, they FORWARD IT TO THE RELEVANT DEPARTMENT who are supposed to get back to me in 24 - 48 hrs, which NEVR HAPPENS. After 5 days, I find out the complain is resolved... I wonder how does that happen?

                                  1. i am an army officer posted in ahmadnagar .i took a mobile postpaid connection no [protected] from airtel on 11 oct and had paid one month rental of it for rs 374.00.
                                  2. i had deposited all the docs to the ahmadnagar office but the service provider has deactivated my services thrice in this one month stating that i had not deposited the same.
                                  3. after enquiring about it at your airtel office ahmadnagar i am told that the docs have been sent and they will be checking the same with their head office .
                                  4. after 15 days i.e today, i am suddenly told that your services are barred as your docs are incomplete. if that was so why my services were continued for one month and bill forwarded to me on my address nothing much then at least some kind of warning and some time could be given to rectify it.
                                  5 i am highly aggrieved by this behaviour and careless attitude towards your customers and will be lodging a complaint abt it in the forum.

                                  they are in market just to exploit customer. in the era of globalization where customers are treated as GOD and KING, bloody airtel people believe that they themselves are god. i am using blackberry enterprise service paying Rs. 899 as monthly rental for that and calling rental seperate. yesterday i gat a mail from airtel that we can download uncensored big boss videos without mentioning any terms and condition or whether its chargeable or free. i clicked on the link and the next moment i got a message from airtel stating that i have been charged for Rs. 99 as charges of same. i called up the customer care they said they cant help it and i have to pay 99 as rental. i shouted her that i have already taken unlimited downloading plan then why to pay 99 extra, she said since u clicked it u have to pay. its not a matter of 99 rupees but its abouit cheating innocent customers. they are trapping and cheating customers. thats it.

                                  i have activated missed call alert service from them. i have been charged rental of same every month but i never recieve a single message from them. despite the fact that my office colleagues, freinds, family, etc. keeps on complaining that my cell is never reachable.

                                  GUYS THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THIS IS THAT FROM 1ST DECEMBER WE CAN SWITCH TO OTHER SERVICE PROVIDER AND OUR MOBILE NUMBER WOULD BE SAME.
                                  I AM DESPERATELY WAITING FOR 1ST DEC TO CHANGE THIS PATHETIC SERVICE.
                                  YOU GUYS ALSO CHANGE THE SERVICE.

                                  THEN Mr. SUNIL MITTAL WILL COME TO KNOW THAT CUSTOMERS WHERE USING AIRTEL NOT BECAUSE OF SHAHRUKH KHAN OR SAIF ALI KHAN BUR BECAUSE THEY DONT WANTED TO CHANGE THERE NUMBER.

                                  AirTel — Worst service provider

                                  I had lodged a compliant to the airtel digital TV customer care 7 days back.Everyday I am calling them atleast 3 times a day asking to resolve the issue.We are unable to view any channels and hence we requested the customer care to ask the engineer visit our residence to lookninto the issue.Everytime we are geeting a false commitment that the engineer would be contacting you, or reaching the residence in next 1 hour, however nobody turms up.Everytime they raise a service desk ticket and without resolving the issue they send an sms to our mobile confirming that the issue has been resolved and the ticket is closed.We lodged a compliant for the same however no action was taken.Till today nobody has turned up or called us for resolution of the issue.This is the worst service provider we have ever come across.We strongly recommed no customer should use such service provider if they dont value the customer.
                                  India top and most pathetic and worst telecom srvice provider is AIRTEL it is in all aspects they cover everything in being bad the most pathetic customer serivce and worst attitude of the customer service personnel, the network is bad always and everywhere, calls keep droping.                                   l issues they have billing issues too they show some thing else when we sign up for the plan but the truth is they change as they wish, the call rates are totally different from what we are shown and what we get in our bills, they are really bad guys who dupe people. No one should be encouraged to use airtel, I will honestly cherish the moment this company drowns. I will never wish this company anything good. Their customer service people have actually harrased me badly. Since we dont have easy access to any lawyer they think they can do anything they want. How do we free of cost put a legal case against such stupid and worst companies. The biggest case was even when i had cancelled my number 6 months ago by even talking to their call centre people and writing official emails they kept generating bills with rental plans of Rs 599 per month and for 6 months they dragged this issue and never actaully cancelled the number and finally when i did not pay the rental amount they sent a legal notice, what the [censored] i have cancelled this number but still they generated the bills and dragged the issue for 6 months and then made me pay by sending legal notcies such is the bad practice of airtel. also behold this plan of Rs 599 monthly rental also was not choosen by me but these people automatically updated this plan on my number even without telling me such worst attitude of these companies. For the money they have looted from me they will suffer badly and trust me such type of attitude will bring this company down very soon

                                    I recently converted to Airtel prepaid service provider from the VODAFONE prepaid through MOBILE NUMBER PORTABLE SYSTEM.
                                    I am using mobile number :[protected], but the service is blocked from 10th november 2012 although I submitted the required documents to the concerned retail outlet of Airtel Communications. I am very unhappy with the service of Airtel as I lost my business transactions as the service is denied without prior notice. I want to move legally for my loss of business from 10th november 2012.

                                      HI,

                                      I am using Airtel DTH from the past 2 yrs.
                                      2 weeks back i have taken South economy sports package(for 6 months) which includes most of the sports channels and also South channels.
                                      Today morning i am not getting the sports channels which i have taken(ESPN, Star sports, Start cricket).
                                      When i call the customer care they say they have changed the package and if i need these channels i have to take a special small package.

                                      What is the point in taking a package for 6 months when i am not guaranteed of these channels. Now they are not even ready to cancel the package.

                                      What can be done now.
