I'm Senthil from Chennai, using Airtel postpaid Company CUG ([protected]) for the past 6yrs. 3 months back i activated Internet pack of 1GB, till last month i get bill below Rs1000/-. last month i got bill for Rs5118.90/- was shocked on seeing it.

I called Airtel customer care (121), executive informed that i have used excess 400MB and its cost nearly Rs 3911.12/-. I have send a mail to [protected]@in.airtel.com on 17th Oct 2012, i got call from Airtel on 23rd oct 2012, i explained everything and asked to reconsider about the bill.

Then there is no response from them, i have send another mail on 26th oct 2010 to know about the status, and got return mail from Rekha & Sirisha Palaji as "GPRS charges are charged as per the usage".

In Airtel there is no facility for me to check the data used, only in the bill it reflects the total usage. My concern is after crossing the limit of 1GB i didnt get any information allowed to used the internet and finally in bill showing Rs5118.90 to pay.

The ultimate thing is, I'm paying Rs98 for 1GB and Rs3911 for 400MB, i dont know how to digest it.

I'm one of the customer of Airtel for the past 6 yrs, using 5 post paid Mobile connections and 2 Data card, now this incident made me to think about other network for the further uses.

I'm totally frustrated on this, and not getting any solution so came here to highlight this matter. As a once the leading mobile service player Airtel should have a clear transparent system.

When the limit exceeds it should inform to the customers and should have some slab limit for using and also freezed cost for it.

    Hi,

    I have the following airtel mobile numbers [protected],[protected],[protected] on my name i.e Divya Manohar Mudumala.

    My issue is, i have paid my airtel bills on 09/09/2012 for the above mentioned numbers generated on 22/08/2012 which was due on 09/09/2012 vide bill num-61 at Bharti airtel office ,opp Vijaya krishna super bazar,Near buckinghum post office,Vijayawada.The details are:

    [protected]-860.00(paid on09/09/2012 vide cash bill receipt no-60)
    [protected]-790.00(paid on 09/09/2012 vide cash bill receipt no-61)
    [protected]-290.00 paid on 24/08/2012 and 575.00 paid vide
    cash bill no-60)


    However i was charged a late payment fee of Rs-100.00 for all the above three mobile numbers in the subsequent bills.I also raised a complaint for the number [protected] vide ref no[protected] on 16/10/2012 and for [protected] vide ref no[protected] on 16/10/2012.I spoke to many customer care executives but of no use.All my efforts went in vain.

    The undigested fact is that the airtel customer care people closed my complaints stating incomplete info.Also I neither got a call nor a mail from the complaint resolution team stating my complaints were closed.This says the airtel's concern towards the customers.

    The second one is i tried calling the customer care several times to inform my problem.The worst experience i ever had in my life was with airtel IVR.It asks to dial 198 for any complaints .

    When we dial 198 it gives 2 options i.e if we have complaint no press 1 else press 2 .
    When i dialed the option 2 it again goes back to the previous menu and asks us to dial 198 for any complaints.This goes on repeating all the times i call and i am fed up of dialing 198.Finally i though of writing a mail to some next level where my pain can be understood and resolved.

    I hope the resolution at the earliest.

    Airtel — Daily charge being levied

    I am being charged daily on my mobile [protected] for a service called 'TEXT BASED SERVICES ' - Subject subject 'JOKES & 'SUBMAN' I have made several calls to Airtel on 121 to discontinue this service. Everyday I get around 3 sms from a number 64611001 & 58888 to add to one's frustration everytime you call the Airtel 121 number it is answered by people who dont understand english all they say is 'I am so sorry' 'Your problem is sorted out' 'withing 2 days this will discontinue' 'Thank you for calling AIRTEL have a nice day' This nonsense has been happening for more than 3 months or more. I have already closed one number of mine I will have no other alternative but to write.

    AIRTEL please STOP CHEATING you cannot be the #1 service provider by doing this. Your Company should be sued and shut down. Kindly take immediate action on this complaint and refund all the unnecessary debits that has been done on my prepaid card.
    If this does not stop I will have no choice but to send a notice tothe customer consumer bureau of india...

    hi, i am Karan Gambhir...my prepaid number is [protected] and in the evening my today (14th October 2008) my balance got deducted by about 30 Rs for which i did not get ne msg from Airtel.

    my balance was sumwhere close to Rs 144 and on checking in the evening my balance was Rs.114.

    i tried complaining on the Airtel cutomer care but the executive did not have information about it, and he told me to call after 24 hours.

    please note i am not using ANY extra service except for Hello Tunes for which already Rs.200 was deducted from my account.

    I want a refund of those Rs.30 !!..its highly annoying.i am really really dissappointed with Airtel and request you to register a complaint from my side, and pls make sure a get a resolution for the same !

    Dear Sir,
    I, Sudhakar G Bijur, residing at TSS Road, Ashok Nagar Sirsi, complaing on my sister behalf.
    On[protected] at 11.36 pm I received a message form Airtel 64611099 and 64611010 for downloading JavaGame and animation from Airtel live WAP service and I have been charges Rs 99 and Rs10 resp. I have never downloaded any game or any other service from Airtel live nor I tried entering Airtel Live. Next Day I called customer care asking for the details.At that time customer care executive informed me that it was may be my mistake and will re-credit the same with in a period of one or two days, and that has not been done. So I called customer care again after two days and this time they informed me that I have downloaded Java Game and Animation. Every time I used to recharge with a minimum balance of Rs 50. Two days earlier I recharged with Rs 150 for full talktime.

      Whenever a complain /request is made withe respect to thee existing services etc. thee company does not attend to thee same theough theeir customer people assure me of thee same. In last monthe I shifted from one place to anotheer in thee same city and made a request to shift my air-tel connection to thee new place. Though theere were multiple calls from thee customer people no action was taken and at last I had to disconnect thee services. To my terrible dismay thee number was working somewhere in thee same city. There after I applied for anew connection which was provided after much waiting. The service people are very much unresponsive and do not pay any heed to requests. This time thee land line instrument is not working and even after I lodged a complain on 24the of October-2012 till date no body is forthe coming. The customer people only beg pardons for this and do not ensure timely attendance.My reference number theis time is 23805254.

          My customer id. is [protected]
          I am using this connecting for past 3 years and now due to some issue Airtel technician wants to replace it.
          Airtel is expecting me to pay 350 Rs. for the replacement.
          If Airtel owns the STB and I have paid upfront for the set-top box services then why am I asked to pay for this replacement? This is not acceptable since if I terminate the services then the STB will be returned to Airtel.

          Need your immediate attention.

            I had raised a relocation request to bangalore based on the suggestions from the airtel customer care. The first relocation request raised a mnth back was closed as complete without even notifying me so I raised a request again(req num[protected] on 19th oct. Still i havnt got any call and no agents have come and collected the documents needed. They also called me and cancelled the old number which i held.

                I had lodged in a complaint on 121 at 20.45 hrs on[protected] for my broadband connection. The modem was not working. The copmplaint reference no. is 23833466. I was informed that airtel would revert back to me by 18.30 hrs on[protected]. I followed up with airtel customer care on 26th and 27th and I was informed that the problem would be resolved positively by the time mentioned for[protected]. I called 121 at 20.30 hrs on[protected] to inform thet no action has still been taken and a very rude airtel representative told me to go to a store and buy a new modem. When I got a little upset and called agian, another representative told me that an engoneer would visit my address on[protected] and that he is arranging a call by his Senior. Nothing happened and I did not receive any call. On 28th evening I called again and was assured that an engineer would visit by 11.00 hrs on[protected]. And still nothing has happened. I have been without internet usage since[protected] which has resulted in huge business losses. I am shocked by the carelessness of airtel. They refused to take my complaint also. I really do not know how they are going to maintain heir quality with this sort of customer service.

                  Hi,

                  I have raised a request for my airtel broadband connection in the month of may. They hav cancelled in july. i have asked for the full and final settlement and paid in the month of july. In august they have again generated a bill and sent to me. They are causing inconvenience to me by calling on every alternative days. I have mailed the concerned teams many times. Inspite of this there is no update in there system?
                  Now they are saying that they will issue legal notice.

                  Please let me know what can i do in this case?

                    I received an SMS from (ADSFALRT: Dear Subscriber, now enjoy unlimited downloads in next 24 hours from the link http://180.151.100.230/sl/avpack?catid=584), but i have not subscribe for this service, next day (25th Oct 2012 09:47 PM)I got charged for Rs. 99 from (ATAIRINF: Thanks for downloading Airtel Animation Value Pack_Rs from Airtel. You have been charged Rs.99.0.

                    Airtel cut Rs. 99 from me second time...(My number is [protected]) anyone can help on this. This is purely illegal. They cheat there customers..

                    Airtel Live — unable to unsubscribe to bollywoodji

                    My airtel cell number is [protected] (prepaid)
                    For the last two months I have been observing my balance coming down without much usage. Suddenly there was a sms from airtel telling that my subscription to Bollywoodji is renewed at the rate of Rs.5/- per day.

                    I tried several methods to unsubscribe but still airtel is stealing Rs. 5 from my balance. This seems to be an atrocious thing. I had sent messages to 121, 54321 and also in the web in their website and the so called service 'bollywoodji'. The reply messages from airtel says I am not subscribed to any service but I still continue to be deducted with Rs.5/- everyday.

                    I continue to loose Rs.5/-per day and I am not able to discontinue this stealing by airtel. I request this forum to take it up with airtel to unsubscribe my number from this unethical service (bollywoodji). Also there must be a easy way to unsubscribe from services which the customer does not want.

                    It is resolved (atleast for the time being):
                    I had done the following:
                    1. Found a link http:// gclub.in and unsubscribed bollywoodji (from my mobile)
                    2. Sent an email to airtelpresence as indicated in one of your replies of some other complaint similar to mine (in your website) & got a reply that they will look into this.
                    3. Sent a STOP sms to 121 from my mobile.
                    4. Forced stop a bollywoodji cookie inside the mobile - may be implanted by airtel?! (This could not be completed removed but only could be stopped!!)

                    I do not know which one of the above worked, but finally it seems I am out of trouble atleast for now.

                    Today morning I checked as usual and found that Rs.5/- was not detected today.
                    But need to check for some more time. Will update after some time if I am completely out of trouble !!!

                    Airtel — Charging for stuff which actually downloaded from AIRTEL LIVE

                    Today i got a msg from airtell (AD-54321) Saying that i have been charged 8 Rs. for downloading Hangama content game from airtel.this stuff actually not downloaded from my mobile. Due to this my balance cut to zero this was not the first time in the month of july 24th i have been charged 49 Rs. for downloading nokia stuff from airtel live
                    When i called Customer care of Airtel they are not reffunding us deducted balance.
                    plz suggest me how get this refund back.

                      My fixed line & broadband were not working since 16th October. I have placed a complaint with Airtel Customer Care (SR #:[protected]. Every day, the folks at customer care promise me that the issue will be rectified as soon as possible. They also assure that A SENIOR OFFICER will call me back and provide a status. Never did they call or provide a status.


                      What is the point in spending crores on advertising, when you can't provide the service you are supposed to? What kind of issue takes more than 12 days to resolve? Are we in STONE AGE?

                          Dear Authorities,

                          Myself C Ilavarasan, purchased the Airtel mobile number[protected] as postpaid; an year back on June 2011. Then I converted the same as prepaid at Airtel, Shop No. 12, Anna Nagar, Madurai - 625020. The same was done on my presence.

                          Unfortunately my mobile was lost on September 2012. I approached airtel customer care at Madurai Airtel Office @ Anna Nagar, for new sim. To my surprise, I was told that the number is registered in somebody else name i.e., Mr Anand Kumar, S/o Mr Mahalingam.

                          I wonder that when I submitted all the proofs and other details for the purchase of number; how its being converted to somebody else name without my knowledge. Even if the number is in somebody else name how come they didn’t question the same for last 1 year; when I used it. F Y Kind Info, I have a proof for my usage and my possession.

                          The same subject as complaint been registered as with customer care over phone.

                          Again when I approached the Airtel Office @ Adyar, Chennai; they did a prolonging enquiry. Then provided a new replacement sim no.[protected] H2 and informed that activation will be done in 2 hours and not activated till now.

                          I would raise the doubt that, how do Airtel permit me to use the number which is in somebody else name.

                          I suspect the Airtel executives are purposely doing these cheap works to abduct this fancy number.

                          Kindly do intervene and get me back my mobile number at the earliest.

                              Dear Sir,
                              This is to inform you that the plan has been
                              activated on my number [protected] without
                              my consent. An amount of Rs 10 is being deducted
                              everyday. When I complaint, Airtel customer
                              superviser agreed that mistake was happened from
                              airtel end and comitted me to refund all the deducted
                              amount. I also requested for deactivation of plan.
                              But instead of deactivation and refunding my amount
                              airtel has been deducting amount daily.My first call
                              for complaint was on 28-10-12 at 12:30 - 1:10 AM.
                              Please take strict action on Airtel

                              Airtel — Activate plan without my consent

                              My name is Farhanul Haque and my mobile# is [protected]. Airtel activate the cricket score plan in y mobile without my consent and they are deducting 5 rupees per day as I confirmed with their executive, I called them yestereday and they said that they have stopped the service and charges will be refunded. But I didn't receive refund into my account and moreover I got score message today also. I called Airtel again and executive said that money won't be refunded as this was getting deducted on daily basis. But, how can they activate the plan on my mobile without my consent and not refunding the deducted money as the service was not for my use and I never asked for it.

                              Please ask them to look into this matter and refund my money asap.

                                I have recharged the mobile internet pack of Rs.98 on 15.10.2012 but I am getting a problem for use of internet in my room which is situated in the Arlem area of Margao State Goa, even I am getting the full range of network. It showing the error i.e Packet data connection is not available check the network services. I called the Airtel customer care and used all tactics as they told me but still I am unable to access the internet in my room from my nokia C5 moible. I had also checked by changing the mobile but the same problem has been observed in that.                                   I have never seen this type of harassment to their customers from any of the service providers.
                                  I just called to AIRTEL DTH for information , and they configured my mobile number for at least 20 connections for BABA HOMES.

                                  I am getting everyday atleast 10+ messages on behalf of those accounts.
                                  This is being from last 10 months .

                                  I had called so many times to Customer care and asked them to delete my number.
                                  But I dont why they keep troubling me a lot....

                                  I[censored] need any clarifications u can reach over me [protected]... I hate Airtel .....and it service..

                                    I am a customer of Airtel digital tv customer no. [protected]. I have taken two connection of digital tv for my home, as the sale person told me that this would be beneficial to us by getting discount on other connection but haven’t told that we have to compulsory use both connection. After installation, i was surprise to know that my balance for both TV was charged even though I used only one as my other TV is not working. On talking to customer care I came to know that I will be charged of two connection, even though I recharged on only one connection. Thereafter, in the month of September I said them to split the connection so that I will pay only of that connection which I use. They confirmed me that split has been done and also generated new customer ID [protected].Further they confirmed that I will be charged of one connection only on my old ID. Again after few days when my balance eroded in short time, I called customer care and was again shocked to know that, they were still charging me double. They said your ID was not separated yet, they asked me to recharge of Rs 100 on new customer ID [protected] which was generated on my split request. After long discussion, I recharged of Rs 100 as well, so that my problem would be solved in 48 hrs as promised by senior person of customer care department. But to my shocking till present date i am charged double. From last few months, they are just misguiding me. No proper response from customer care now, as whenever I call, I get answer that our senior person is busy on other call and cant take your call now, call latter.

                                    I would like to draw your kind attention about my SR # 1188441 regarding my recharge airtel digital.

                                    On 13-Apr-2009 Rs 800.00 has been chargesd form my credit card with your ref: 3011125 ( paid thru unregistered phone number ). Again on 18-Apr-2009 Rs 800.00 has been charged from my credit card with your ref : 5850590 ( paid thru registered mobile)

                                    I got bonus offer from for Rs 250.00 as I am Airtel mobile customer.

                                    So total 800+800+250 = Rs 1850 I got total balance to Airtel.
                                    And I supposed to pay for recharge Rs 750.[protected] = Rs 1100 ) is my balance on your side.

                                    Till date no call and they have closed my SR without intimation me. Every time they will give new Service Request.
                                    Wonder how they are working, you call everyday almost half an hour, they will give you everyday new apology, then next day you will call and your call will go another call center, then again same story...............****ing story.

                                    DVR Machine not working/malfunctioning
                                    I bought an Airtel DTH DVR box and connection about a week back (Jan 10th 2011) from a local retailer in Amar Colony Market. The installation and everything was okay. The Airtel guy charged about Rs 700 stating that he needed extra cable. I didnt complain. However, the horror story started right from day 1. The DVR STB is so slow that its practically unusable. I changed the batteries on my remote since the call center guy advised me to do so. But that didnt help. Couple of guys came to try and trouble shoot from Airtel but couldnt do anything. They gave up finally saying that the STB is slow since it has a hard disk and all sort of technical jargon. Even the technician tried navigating the channels using the remote but everytime he pressed "OK" to select a channel, the box took him to the Games menu.

                                    I am surprised that no one else has any complaints about the slowness/glaring problems of the device and that makes me think that I was fleeced by Airtel who gave me a malfunctioning, broken worthless STB and now refuses to replace it even though its just been a week since I purchased it. I went back to the retailer to return the box and get my money back, but they completely washed their hands off. No help from there either.

                                    The situation is so unbearable that many times I'm just tempted to take my remote and throw it at the television. I am as frustrated as frustrated can be. I want Airtel to take some responsibility and either 1. say that their DVR STBs are not up to any standard o[censored]sage or 2. Replace the box and fix the problem.

                                    If the quality of the STB is like I described above, then I'm afraid I do not want the product and want my money back.

                                    PS: I hope others reading this review make an informed decision and stick with one of the other companies that provide Digital TV service and DVRs.

                                    Airtel DishTV — payment Rs. 200 deducted from account but not recharged

                                    On 13 Feb'2011 My Airtel Dth customer ID [protected] connection recharged morning time for Rs. 200/- but no iformation received, I again recharged For Rs. 200/- in the evening time same Dth. After Only Rs. 200/- recharged and the other amount of Rs. 200/- is unknown. The amount is deducted from the bank and not recharged.

                                    I recharged my account on 24.4.2011 and since 25.4.2011 I'm unable to view any channels. My setup box is down since 25th April and the company is willfully deducting the daily amount from my account without showing me any channels.
                                    I'm repeatedly complaining to the customer care numbers(both tolled & toll free) and every time i get the same response that your complaint is being looked into and it being forwarded to the concerned persons. But none has come to resolve the problem.
                                    Yesterday around 4.30pm i once again called up customer care executive and was shocked to hear that only one complaint dated 26.4.2011 has been made by me and that has been resolved. I was astonished to hear that my all complaints were forwarded to deaf ears and i was just being made to understand that problems are being resolved. So this time i insisted executive to provide me a complaint number[protected], so that once again I may not be the part of the same trick.
                                    But the customer are here to be fooled.So in reply to my complaint i received an sms stating that my compliant has been resolved. I checked up my Tv and the position was same and it was showing no signals.

                                    Kindly look into the matter urgently.

                                      I was a customer of Airtel digital tv customer no. [protected]. On 30 Sep some problem started coming in Set top box. On 04 Oct 2012 I made a complaint through [protected], got assurance for problem to be cleared within 24 hr. But even i 48 hr no one visited and no call was received. I confirmed about non redressel of complaint and was given again 24 hours. Same responce was repeated. I again did complaint 2-3 times, but responce remained same. Then I called nodal officer up UP region, and agan was given 24 hr. Like that I felt Airtel TV is not concerned about its customers, so I switched to other service. On 28 Oct I got a call from Airtel TV about the problem. I was surprised on so quick respponce. I want to advice people to keep away from such service provider.

I went for 3g internet recharge on 27th oct 2012 with txn id 627670.I checked my balance and it showed no change in data balance. I contacted airtel customer care informing that rupees 250 has been deducted from my bank account.The fellows at airtel customer care told me there is no 3g package for rupees 250.But I have recharged successfully for Rs 250 on 16th oct 2012. The airtel website still shows Rs. 250 3g recharge option.The customer care of airtel is not a position to help me. Please inform me what should I do ?

                                        My Post paid connection no [protected] got blocked, asking for resubmition for the documents, this connection is provided by my company.
                                        I submitted all my documents, my connection got activated once and got deactivated again and sked for undertaking document.
                                        Even after 2days after submittion of this document at Ameetpet, Hyderabad office to Vanitha, no progress in activation.
                                        For submitting each document, I need to travel for 2 hours from my work location, this is causing lot trouble for me.
                                        I request to activate my connection with out causing trouble to me, I can provide all the relevent documents if they reach my office instead of me travelling for each individual documents.

                                        On 20/03/11, I lost my mobile & no. also. Then I renewed my no. On 25/03/11. After that, I noticed that my balance is deducting everyday. Because some Spjoke, Pjoke & Cricket pack has been activated without my permission & prior notice.                                         Can you believe this nonsense? Since 8am today I have been trying to recharge my airtel mobile via their website. The bloody site does not open for a long long time, and when it finally opens, it gets stuck for hours together. Where are they guys in charge of the company's website? Have they all gone away to celebrate Christmas? This is utterly ridiculous.
                                        I have recharged for 102 rs for getting 300mb of 3g data.I checked this info from airtel online recharge site.
                                        But when I recharged I did not get the amount whereas amount has been deducted from my account.
