Hello, I currently have a "friendz" pre-paid plan on my Airtel SIM. I purchased this nearly one n a half years ago. Uptill now, as per the plan, I was having 200 free SMS and 1-p aitel calling local and 50p STD calling activated. But for the past one week I think Im being charged one rupee per SMS and one rupee per call.
I would like to know whats happening here!

Airtel — FRIENDS TARIFF PLAN

HELLO SIR ,
I AM A USER OF AIRTEL FREINDS CARD , AS PER THE TARRIF PLAN THE DAILY CHARGES BEING DEDUCTED FOR MY AIRTEL CELL NO.[protected] HAS INCREASED FROM 50PS TO 1 RS. WHILE PURCHASING THE SIM IT WA MENTIONED THAT THE CHARGES WONT BE INCREASED.

    The Airtel Number [protected] has been disconnected without any reason or information the customer. Customer Service is pathetic and unable to reach any live person on the phone the IVR automatically disconnects the call.

    I'm a professional in gurgaon and having a Airtel no. [protected] with me . On 23rd July my mobile network went off suddenly and when i contacted the customer care they said ' YOUR MOBILE NUMBER HAS BEEN PORTED ' due to which your mobile services have been disconnected. They neither logged any complaint for this. I kept on following for the whole day and nothing happened . When reached the airtel store in Sahara Mall; they said nothing can be done as it is weekend and its a holiday with the backend team.

    how can some mobile provider port the mobile no. of a customer wiothout his request or any information. With such a matter how can wwe trust the credibility of a company like airtel
    How can a service provider port a working mobile nu, ber without any request from the customer . Then they show such a blank face that they cant help for problem
    I have an airtel landline/dsl since 2005 but I have been having constant disturbance on my line. As these were not rectified, I bought an airtel sim card and gave as my verification details - a copy of my passport, my driving licence and airtel landline number. I also put an additional recharge of Rs 500. (mobile no [protected]) packed Nov 2011 - activated on 20.12.2011. Further, I got a verification call in which I verified all the details. A few days later, I found my number blocked and I was asked per mobile to verify my account, I did so but it was not actiivated. I called again and the lady started misbehaving and started asking me my 'marital details'. This is a sheer breech of privacy. Finally I got someone on the line who activated my calls.
    Yesterday suddenly my sim was blocked saying that it could not be verified. This is all the more absurd as I had earlier received a payment alert from airtel regarding my landline/dsl though I had not registered my number. Subsequently Icalled the customercare for mobiles but 3 times the phone was put down on me.

    Finally I called up several other numbers and got the following [protected] (nodal officer Vikrant Pandey. I spoke to a Mr Vijay who said the problem would be immediately rectified. He gave me a REF No: F[protected] and siad I should dial 46081111. I called there and gave them the Ref. They said they could do nothing and that I should call up yet another number [protected]. There I spoke to a Ms Nasim who said that the reason the verification had failed is that the number was to be in the name of a Sunita devi. Therefore I should resubmit my documents to the Relationship Centre and it would be immediately activated. I went to the Centre and the man started misbehaving and when I asked him for his name, he refused to give it. Furthermore he threatened me and told the others that they should make sure the problem was not rectified. He then said it was the fault of the dealer. I subsequently went to the dealer who showed and gave me back the form that had been filled in which clearly shows my name, my landline number and all my documents attested. No reason had been given by airtel as to why the papers were returned. This is pure cheating and a SCAM.

    I am simply disgusted for I have been a client with Airtel since 2005. Each and every bill has been paid on time.

    The landline and DSL service has completely deteriorated. The aspect of customercare constantly putting down the phone, giving me appointments on which their engineers will come is not met.

    As a professional, I have lost work time.

    As a professional woman, I have been abused and asked about my private life.

    As an old customer, I have been treated as dirt.

      1. This is to inform you that I am a Army person serving far away from my native. My wife have a BNSL Mob No (0.......40286). Last one month fake / ugly / unwanted SMS received from unknown person. I find it out this No is Airtel in Chennai circle. As satellite map shows that near the area of T.Kalatur, Thuraiyor, Veeramachanpatti & Kottampatti. His No [protected], Rank Engineer. I frequently called him, but did not answer the any incoming call.

      2. In view of the above, you are requested to give the exact details of the person or otherwise guide me How to complaint in Police/criminal section?. It is one more request you that, till finalize the case did not disclose matter anywhere. In this regard any information please contact my e-mail only (s.[protected]@gmail.com).

        I find that I can not view any sports channels which are normally free channels. When I try it says - UNORDERED CHANNEL.

          I am surprised & astonished that error is caused twice or thrice but this is not error but knowingly the Customer care, Technical assistance etc are making it happen regularly this may be transferring the amount into their accounts & they are using this amount to their or any of their own numbers for their personal use, I want that you to talk to me and expedite & also refund which amounts to Rs.500 to my account immediately today itself I want to know the amount refunded to me with all details. I am subscribed to unlimited plan @ Rs.10/per day excluding this deductions, what VAS deductions which happened since my last recharge under what headings depletion has been done every details of it mentioned I have all the details to cross check so I expect a fair transaction from you please call back & verify that all the automatic depletions have been refunded to my account or else I will be bound to change service provider & forward this to consumer forum, since I am very old customer subscriber of Airtel considering the long association with Airtel & the service provider I hope you will consider that no such actions to be taken.           Airtel — Start a service automatically

          My mobile number [protected].I never activated a service but automaticaly activated any service and customer excutive told me that it was my fault not airtel,sir pleas help me

            My Mobile Number is [protected] airtel provider prepaid service 4 years i am using this Service 3 days back[protected] i find my cell outgoing barred i call to Airtel customer care he saying sir plz submit your ID Proof & photo then we activate your number i saying ok sir i will give to my dealer, next day i submit the ID Proof & photo[protected] after 2 days[protected] is not activate afternoon i tell my cell number problem to Airtel customer care he saying this number is recycled we can't activate your number, i tell how can u recycle my number without any information he saying sir hold the line i will connect to my manager plz ask her i tell ok the manager said i send 1 sms, your not replaying we recycle the number i telling i am not received any message from your side she telling no sir we are help less that's all

            I think they are taking own Decision

            My Opinion is before recycling call to responsible person

            plz don't ignore & plz help me justice

            i lose my number, business, customer, Friends, currency, my time, ID Proof

              Dear Sir / Madam,


              We are holding an Airtel Prepaid mobile connection with no. [protected] for over last one year.

              Its been quite frustrating to deal with Airtel so far as in event of any assistance required or complaint to be registered we only have two contact nos. i.e. 121 or 198 which have no option to get the correct help as desired.

              While dialling on both the nos. its impossible to reach to the correct person and even after trying more than 20-30 time, if fortunately we are able to reach some one, the customer care officer do not pay any attention to the complaint instead disconnects the line by giving some excuse or the other. Most of time customer care officer uses local language despite our repeated request to use English or Hindi as we do not understand the local language.

              We have been regularly charging the prepaid connection and noticing that without using the phone even for day the balance keeps on reducing due to some pretext or the other, we recently discovered that due to some unwanted service called 'Hungama' the balance have been reducing on daily basis which was not even subscribed by us at any time.

              We have made this request in past (when we were lucky to get connection to Airtel's helpline) many a times to remove our no. from any such subscription but till date the same have not been done and balance is being reduced forcefully without our consent for any such service.

              Its almost impossible to reach any customer care officer in Airtel and frustrating to get the issues resolved of last many days despite hundreds of attempts.

              We have recently subscribed to the 3G data plan worth Rs. 199 (given 500 MB of free data download), however are surprised to note that every time we connect to the 3G and use even a site like google or gmail our balance reduces whereas this was suppose to be free of cost till 500 MB data usages.

              We get no update from airtel on data usages and are failing to understand how can 500 MB data be used only on first connection of 3G if it is so happened.

              It seems to be complete cheating on Airtel's part to deduct user's balance without any reference to them and enable unwanted services on phone and deduct money.

              After getting no response from any of the Airtel's contact nos. we are raising this as last and final complaint before filing a case in consumer court for intentional cheating and malpractices also violating the applicable TRAI guidelines.

              Please do consider this seriously and respond within reasonable time.

              Airtel is cheating by deducting Rs. 1.50 everyday from my prepaid balance. Many times I called Airtel Customer Care to get it de-activated. But after few days it is activated by Airtel itself fradulently to cosume the balance amount.

              Airtel customercare executives refuses to record complaint for this.

              At present the Airtel system is such that this can not be prevented by the prepaid customer.

              This is a well planned tecnique of getting the money from customer in fradulent manner.

              Can any step be taken against the Airtel Top Manangment for such fradulent practice and can this be stopped by any means?

              I want to inform public about your landmark victory at district
              consumer court against Dakshin Media Gaming Solution Pvt. Ltd.
              Company, the organizers of television game show “HAUZEE” on Zee T.V.
              to pay me 11, 00, 000/- alongwith interest @ 6% p.a and telecom service
              provider Bharti Airtel Limited to pay a sum of Rs.2, 00, 000/- as
              punitive damages and also the presenter/hosts of programme namely
              Sajid Khan and Javed Jaffrey to pay Rs.1, 00, 000/- each as punitive
              damages.



              I won this money in the episode relayed on 13.11.2005, in which I
              downloaded Rs10/- ticket on my prepaid airtel connection. I played
              the game and won the Jackpot and was declared winner of 11, 00, 000
              prize money. I was promised on the show that I will get this money
              and will also be invited on TV to appear on subsequent show.

              But later, I never received my money. I kept contacting the related
              parties for my prize money for about a year. When all my effort went
              when in vain, I filled a case against Dakshin Media Gaming Solution
              Pvt. Ltd. Company, its partners, Bharti Airtel Limited and the host
              Sajid Khan and Javed Jaffery in local consumer court.

              The case went for seven years, and because the game show was run by
              so many partners, none of them was ready to take responsibility to pay
              me money. As a common man this journey was very difficult and I know
              lot more people who are being ripped off and given false hopes by this
              channels and game shows and not been paid their money.

              I wanted to get my prize money back and show these companies and
              presenters that they have credibility towards the consumers from whom
              they are making such profits.

              During this journey I realized that common man doesn’t even know how
              to deal with this problem so they give up and whom to ask. I want to
              tell such people not to give up hope and fight back.

                Airtel digital tv
                I had purchased a digital tv and got it installed after making the necessary payment. But even after 3 days the services has not been activated despite repeated reminders and phone calls. On calling one of the executives i was told that the services has been given and he is not even bothered to see if there is any technical problem. I am discontinuing the services,
                i have been a regular customer of tata sky for the past 4 years but never faced a problem.

                  16th Sept 2011: We have filed a request for disconnection and refund of our balance with Airtel DTH. Then we have been told that [COLOR=#009900 !important]technician[/COLOR] will come by 17th Sept 2011. However that day no one came.

                  19th Sept 2011: We have received a call from technician who [COLOR=#009900 !important]confirmed[/COLOR] that he will come at 7 p.m. on 19th for [COLOR=#009900 !important]recovery[/COLOR] of dish etc. However when we reached home and called them up by 7.15 then they rudely [COLOR=#009900 !important]said that[/COLOR] they can not come.

                  20th & 21st Sept 2011: Same story was repeated for the next two days. Airtel DTH is so pathetic that they don’t even have the decency to inform customers that they can not come on scheduled time.

                  22nd Sept 2011: We received a call from Delhi nodal office of Airtel DTH and that person told me that technician told them that we have told technician to not to call us up. Its pathetic! First of all technicians never called us up to tell us that they are not going top come and when we used to call them up then they either switched off their phone or did not pick the call or gave a rude answer that they can not come. However, anyhow that day they came for recovery and we handed them over everything in good condition. We have been told that we will receive our balance of Rs. 3088/- by 29th Sept 2011.

                  29th Sept 2011: As expected from Airtel DTH, we have not received our refund cheque by 29th Sept 2011.

                  30th Sept 2011: To enquire about the same I called up at [COLOR=#009900 !important]customer care[/COLOR] then they said that they don’t have “Recovery Receipt” hence our request can not be processed. Airtel DTH had left no stone unturned to harass its customers.

                  5th Oct 2011: Ultimately I have to send the scanned copy of “Recovery Receipt”. Then I have got a call that I will receive my refund cheque by 20th Oct 2011.

                  20th Oct 2011: I have not received my refund cheque.

                  21st Oct 2011: Now they are saying that they have dispatched it on 17th Oct 2011 via courier and they are again asking me to wait for another 10 days.

                  27th Oct 2011: I have received reply of Airtel Presence but as yet no one had contacted neither did they tell us by when it is expected to be resolved. They are just making vague statements. Since last two months I am just getting vague statements that we need time of 10 days etc etc every time I send an email. They are just not intended to return my money.

                  I am an Airtel DTH customer, subscribed with an HD set-top-box. Trouble started 6 months back, when the set-top-box stopped functioning. Since then I have called Airtel customer care centre about 300 times, registered numerous complaints, but still no resolution. I have paid in advance for the year, so my payments go on auto decrement, despite me not availing of any service. My apartment complex is wired by Airtel & I am unable to switch the operator.

                  I have just started a door-to-door campaign against this fraud company, and I am not surprised that there are many like me who have been suffering in silence.

                  Pls do share with me if there are any redressal forums available for general public against such blatant abuse.

                    My friends plan deactivate on 26 Oct 2011.Before did not remind me about this.I complaint to customer care they told me tat your friends plan will be activate within 24 hrs but today is 27 Oct 2011 my friends plan not activate.when cal not possible to activate friends plan . . . I am totally dissatisfied with this, they did not inform me before deactivate my friends plan .... I don't know what to do ?please take strictly action on it . .

                      Hi,

                      My name is Himanshu and i am using Airtel mobile postpaid service (phone number -- [protected]).
                      My complaint is regarding extra amount charged against my bill for 3 bills. I had already registered a complaint with Airtel in the month of July regarding the discrepancy in my bill for that month.
                      I am using one Airtel number from last 3 years now and never faced any issues. Recently i changed my bill plan and also added another number (through mobile number portability) under my group so that all the calls between those numbers should be free of charges (all over India). I had submitted all the documents and followed all the procedure as suggested by their executive.
                      A few days later i received a confirmation call from Airtel that my bill plan has been changed and new number is been added under your group and all the calls between those numbers will be free of charges.
                      But when i received my first bill after these changes, there were no benefits given to me on the calls made to that new number. I went to Airtel office to inform them about this issue and i was been informed that there may be some problem. We will check and solve this and it will not happen in next bill. They also asked me to send them the extra amount that is being charged so that the same can be waived in my next bill but nothing of this happened in the next bill. I was being charged extra again and no amount was waived off.
                      I didn't pay the bill but they stopped the outgoing service of my mobile number twice. I had no option left but to pay the bill amount.
                      I am continuously following up with them from last 3 months but i am yet to receive a proper solution from them. Each time i visit the office they say that they are looking into the issue, they have sent it to senior management etc etc.
                      I also called their complaint department but didn't got any solution. I also mailed the details to their Nodal Office and Appellate depts for customer complaints but in vein. There was no proper response from them as everyone was busy blaming me.
                      The outgoing service of my another number is stopped again as bill amount is too huge and i haven't paid it yet. When called to customer care/complaint dept. they are asking me to pay the bill amount. They are simply pointing finger to me thats its my fault, there is no extra amount charged against my numbers and bill is as per the usage. They are simply asking me to pay the bill amount and are not discussing anything about the amount to be waived off. They are stating that i have not followed the rules but the actual thing is other way around.
                      I have already paid an extra amount of more than Rs. 4000.

                      Please help me.

                        Hi,

                        The pre-recorded voice message while I dial 121 my offers and the customer care executive informed me that I can avail full talk time on recharge of Rs 300 (irrespective of mode of recharge - ATM , Online , easy recharge etc).
                        I had recharged using online mode but I did not receive the benefit of full talk time. I had registered a complaint regarding this ( complaint Number [protected]) to avoid refund the resolution they provided me was that the full talk time is not available in online recharge mode.
                        The guy who registered the complaint agreed that i should get the full talk time and regsitered the complaint.

                        Airtel — Full talk tme offer

                        I recieved a sms by AY-My Offer on 26 sep at 1.18 pm, in which the offer was that, the consumer will get full talk time on Rs 270 top-up and he will get 50 Airtel minutes free valid for 28 days. Same day I did top-up of Rs 270 in evening at 07.58 pm and got balance of Rs 242.79 only. I did not get full talk time still .I tried to contact to custmer care so many times after one hour trying I was attended by Mr. Anurodh he asked me that the remaining balance will be credit within 48 hours. After some time a sms from AD-Airtel came on my mobile in which they said the remaining balance has been credited but that was only a sms no balance credited to my account. After that i tried to contact to customer care but they did not recieved my call.

                        Airtel — not Refunding full talktime

                        Sir, I recharge my airtel prepaid with Rs.44.00 on RECHARGE SUCCESSFUL ON[protected] at 07.51PM talk time Rs.37.89. MRP Rs.44.00Tranjection ID [protected],and RECHARGE SUCCESSFUL ON[protected] at 02.04PM talk time Rs.37.89. MRP Rs.44.00Tranjection ID[protected]
                        But according to massages Rs.44 per FULL TALK TIME rest talk time Rs.6 will provide after 72 hrs later ,after 72 hrs when I didn’t got talk time so I contacted customer care, they promised me to get it on 19/01/2010.Till now I didn’t got it .Now I again recharged Rs.44.00 (RECHARGE SUCCESSFUL ON[protected] at 09.48AM talk time Rs.37.89.                           Im a Bangalore Airtel Subscriber for the last 2 years !!
                          Cant able to control the India's Biggest Network (AIRTEL) does such stupid thigs ...!!

                          1.Last week I recharged for Rs.250/- only GPRS I activated (Rs.98 plan).Yesterday my balance was just 25 ,plz note no calls have been made from my number.

                          Airtel Owner Mr.Mittal has bcom rich/richest/Richer ?? by eating his customers money ????? [Beggars are far better]

                          2.Need to surely mention about their customer service...Woah,what a idea,when they came to know that the mistake is from their side,keep transferring the call to one another & making us fool !!

                          3.Airtel Relationship Centre , Why do u people have such centre in bangalore ?? To help us or to run away from one place to another ??

                          Cubbonpet,Bangalore centre was closed, so we tried to reach in Malleshwaram centre, there also closed and went off ??Now where is the place to lodge a complain against Airtel.Its is really waste.

                          4. Without our knowledge and information , some stupid schemes (Ringtones,Wallpaper,MMS,Daily News) Schemes are activated.?Who wants this plz do to them.Not to others WHO DONT WANT TO WASTE MONEY !!!

                          Fed up calling customer care and searching the Airtel Showrooms !!

                            Airtel — Disappear of currency

                            Dear Airtel concerned,

                            On monday 23rd June 2008, we have added currency into our prepaid airtel no.[protected] for Rs.30/-. The next day when we want make a call we could not, because no currency available. And when we checked with *123#, the balance was showing 0 (zero).

                            I think now a days these problems are more coming up, as iam hearing from most of my friends an d colleagues.

                            I would like to have my currency back into my cell no.[protected] which is a prepaid lifetime incoming facility.

I just don’t know what airtel staff will do with my documents. what will they do with my 5 photographs ??? what will they do with my ratio card and driving licence copy which is not at all required for cancellation of the phone ??? only one id proof, sim card and an application is required to cancel the mobile connection. Please just let me know what will be done with my submitted documents ??? also they denied to provide a no due letter in spite of my clearing all the bill & usage payment till the date …. ???

                            I am constantly gettign unwanted SMS from airtel and its fellow advertisers.despite of continous mails alongwith the details of the sms being sent to airtel nothing has happened untill now.
                            I am already registered with Do-Not-Call-Registry in the year 2007 but still there is no action being taken by airtel in this regard.Everytime they are giving fake promises.

                            I request you to please take strict action against AIRTEL in this regard which keeps annoying the subscribers with all those unwanted ads as SMS'es despite that the subscriber is already registered in DND registry.

                            I am constantly getting various advtmts. thru SMSes from Airtel, though I have already registered with NDNC on 27/ Aug / 2007 ref. no. F [protected]. When contacted the customer care, an assurance has been given that the matter will be looked after and will be solved in 15 days. And it has been solved but just for one week and they have started sending the SMSes again. It is really very annoying to receive unwanted messages and that too sometimes the same messages three to four times a day...

                            Please do look into this matter and do the needful at the earliest.

                            I heard this AWESOME anecdote how to get back at them. One of my friend's friend went to the Airtel gallery. Took out a nail clipper from his pocket, cut the cord of the complaint telephone reciever and quietly left the shop. He left a note on the fone saying that he will continue doing this until airtel stops sending those unwanted SMS. I think that if everyone starts doing this, Airtel will lose more money than what they are earning. What an awesome 'IDEA', pun intended!

Airtel is really becoming a thief in a corporate veil.
                            I would like consumer complaint forum to take some severe actions against these people who think that they are above the law and think themselves as so called GODS.

                              I had bought a Airtel friendz sim card in Aug 2006, it was working fine as per plan till 20th Oct 2011

                              But now from last one week, I am charged with some variable call rates 1Rs/Min as it was 10Paise/min before.I have talked to customer care about the matter, then told me that the company has changed the friends plan without noticing the concerned customer.                               Airtel — Change of plan automatically without any information or prior notice.

                              I had recharged for my validity for Rs 501 which gives 5 month validity and Rs 495 talktime..my validity got extended to 5 months. but after 2 days i found that my plan changed to a life time one with 1Re/ min or per msg...which actually were 50 paise/min on airtel to airtel and 1Re to others(during daytime).and 25 paise/msg to any mobile and 10paise/min airtel to airtel & 50 paise/min to any other (between 11pm to 7 am).
                              i have made the complaint to the customer support on 09.01.09 but they always give asurance to resolve the prblem and ask to wait for 48 hrs every time i ask for help..and it has been 12 days since then..but no action have been taken by them.
                              now i want my connection to turn back to normal..as i can not change this No..as i am using this for all my business purposes..i want a strict action against them..since this has been a mental harrasment to me and i have lost my money and time due to this..
                              bro the same happened with me a year ago .. they even dot inform us by sms which is binding on their part ..

                                Airtel Broadband is very slow compared to BSNL now a days. I have been with Airtel for the past 4 years and i was really happy with the service. But from the past year Airtel has become really worse the complaints are not getting resolved they are taking more than 2 days to resolve a complaint for an company as well.

                                I recently shifted the connection to BSNL and was verry happy the connection speed and the time within they connected.

                                I have applied for Airtel broadband connection last month (22/Feb/09). The sales guy " Chandra mohan" came to my house and collected the money and all the documents. After that till now he has not attending my phone calls. NO RESPONSE!!! (He had given FALSE COMMITMENT like they will provide connection with in two days!!!)

                                I called Customer service in the same week and i was trying to launch a complaint. those guys said it would take min 7 days, after 7 days only i can launch a complaint!!! (I don't know how sales guy given 2 days time form me!!!) NO RESPONSE for this complaint.

                                3 times i directly i went to guindy Airtel office. Bit RESPONSE from sales head ( Babu ). installation has been done, but not completed the work. till now (12/Mar/09) I didn't get the NET connection. What can i do with the PVC pipes and wires????????

                                i was a fan of Mr. Mittal's progress story as first generation entreprenuer...salute to his vision and taping the opportunity...but i am sure we will see the down fall of Airtel very soo not because of Market/Investors/Technologies but only because of its Customer services.

                                They have hardly any understanding as what a customer is all about. i think " Process Delay, Confusion, Careless Approach" are some of the defined competencies to get promotion for Airtel's Manpower.

                                None of my complaints (more than 10) about following problems through regular channels have been resolved.

                                it just seems that there is absolutely no use to expect better service from airtel even though this is a private player. It seems they do not care if few customers are lost due to poor service. They also do not care about the pain they cause their customers.

                                The airtel broadband services offers plans which have a limited download. This limited download is justified on the basis of a 'fair usage policy', something they claim is implemented throughout the world. However, airtel fails to justify what in reality is fair usage policy. I have lived in the Uk, US and Canada in the past 7 years and the fair usage policy which is implemented there is substantially different from the one which is implemented here. The internet companies abroad provides what Fair usage policy and only implement it on individual basis when the particular user downloads something illegal or pirated such as movies, music on torrents or uploads something illegal.
                                An example of such fair usage policy can be found on the o2 website(an ISP in london)

                                Point 1 of the PDF clearly provides that when FUP will be implemented and broadly covers the cases when the user indulges in illegal activities and not lawful downloading or streaming.
                                However, in India, airtel slows down the speeds irrespective and even if you stream or download music legally the download speed is reduced considerably after the downloads crosses the specific limit.
                                This is nothing but cheating by Airtel in the garb of FUP, something which is a completely different policy. I hope the governing authority takes this into account and gets rid of this sham.
                                I bought a new Airtel Broadband connection.. But i sucked with the speed.. For Rs.881 i got only 512kbps.. In BSNL we will get 2Mbps for Rs.500.. The only advantage is it is Airtel is Unlimited.. But the work which i do all the day in Airtel Broadband can be done in 3hrs in BSNL.. So this Airtel is cheating us... My friend who have the same unlimited connection pays only 500rs for 1mbps.. it seems he got BB connection in some offer.. but i pay 881rs per month but i SUCK.......... wat the hell is this Airtel... i dont like this ...

                                Broadband Connection

                                I had paid Rs. 500 as advance payment for an Airtel Broadband connection vide cheque no. 268479 dt. 23.7.11 drawn on ICICI Bank. The cheque was handed over to Airtel's representative Mr. Parminder Singh on 23.7.11 and Airtel's customer enrolment form no. 2757393 dtd. 23.7.11, duly filled, handed over to him.

                                Regret to inform that the Broadband connection has not been provided to date. Further, despite repeated reminders, the advance payment given by me, too, has not been refunded by the company.

                                It is unfortunate that such a big company should indulge in such unethical practices.

                                hi, i ordered for broadband connection online using airtel website. it asked me to pay 500rs which i did through my card. after that i have not received any communication about this. I also contacted your customer care about this and after 3 or 4 mails about this from them i have not yet got a reply yet. its been couple of months and airtel has still not refunded the money i paid for a connection, which i have not received. Could you please let me know what is happening with this?
                                I applied for a new broadband connection online almost 2 months ago (reference number BR6356063).

                                After 2 weeks, they did not do anything about it, so i called up customer care and raised a complaint(complaint no.[protected]. Even then all they did was call me and asked what my problem was.

                                After waiting another week i called them again and they told me my complaint had been resolved and there was a problem with my application. So they raised a new connection request on 7th April (ref no [protected]) and they promised me the connection would be set up in maximum 7 days.

                                After another month of me repeatedly calling their customer care and raising 2 more complaints (no. 45012666 and no.[protected], no action has been taken by them on my request as of today. Maybe posting here will somehow help me.

                                Unfortunately for me Airtel is the only Broadband provider in my area and I am stuck dealing with them.

                                  I got call from airtel regarding documents submission for verification.
                                  I went to aundh's customer relationship centre and submitted all the required documents.
                                  But still I am receiving calls regarding the same.
                                  When I went to relationship centre(after trying to make 100's of call but no response) they said my documents have already been sent.
                                  However, the customer care executive says that they have not received the documents.

                                    Recently i have called up "Airtel Customer care" to activate 3G service on my cell phone with number([protected]), this is where all the pain started, none of the people in the technical support team doesn't know how to treat a customer and i bet they do not even know their own process, which they are working on.
                                    I told them very clearly that i have activated 3G on my cell phone and downloaded the settings to my mobile and still 3g is not working,so they started saying that i have to switch off and switch on my mobile , which i did and that did not work out, i call them again, i told them check their complaint log where i have registered about my issue, but they do not seem to maintain that, i had to make them understand again about the issue i am facing, so they ask me to recheck the settings and again switch off and switch on, i did the same again, does not work again, i call them again........this whole process got repeated for 3 days and lastly one of the executive has promised me that someone will give me call from their supervisor department for which they have asked me for alternate number, so i provide them my alternate number, but they never turned up a call..........today i called them on my own to get the status, so one guy called "Suresh" gave me manual setting and asked me to switch off and switch on my mobile and check for browsing ,asked me to call him on 12134 number and ask for him , eventually the 3g signal was there, but no browsing, so i call 12134....this time the representative " Raju" answered my call, poor guy doesn't seems to have any idea on the process, i told him the whole story ,but he just forced me to repeat the whole steps again, i could do nothing but laugh at Airtel's service, my question for Raju was 1.what is the speed 3g internet? Raju : 300kb to 600kb per second, I said alright, 2. i have 3g service activated, but i am not able to open Gmail and unable to open any site ? Raju : It is alright i can help you, now is the funny part, he asks me to open the browser and type gmail and give the log-in details to access gmail and said that is how you browse...for a moment i was frustrated, but did not wanted to waste my anger on him , simply asked him to transfer the call to "Suresh", so he did, but the call never got connected......I have a list complaint numbers which i have registered....i am not sure if they are reference numbers or complaint numbers ...but they will tell the whole story to Airtel about the list of calls which i made...........all the calls which i made were chargeable at 50ps for 3Minutes, all the money on calls were spent for nothing but a bad service....


                                    I spoke to people called Sarvani, Pampari, Raju(poor guy doesn't seem to have any clue about the process), Suresh....i had few more names, which I don't remember....

                                    I suggest Airtel to look in to this matter and provide me proper resolution, and please stop saying that you are the best service providers....if you want to say that...please make sure to mean it......


                                    If i am not getting response with in a day, i am going to shift my service....

                                    You have a caption saying swift solutions..? have you give any swift soultion to my issue..? if you could have read the posting you were supposed to get back to me on time, which never happened and you expect me to call you guys back to get my issue resolved even though i have raised so many complaints...

                                    This sort of response clearly shows the kind of respect airtel has on their customers...

                                    I am switching service..bye bye Airtel...

                                    I am using an Airtel 3G (USB modem) in Chennai and I am having the worSt experience of all times!!. First I had a very tough time in getting it activated and finally when it got activated( after losing, hell a lot of money in calls n plans)..Now The connection gets cuts off very often in between of browsing and most of the time its doesn't gets back on the same day! the tele- customer service is so horrible, that they always put me on hold or keep transferring from personal to personal with no proper solution or advice and moreover they charge for the call as well!!.
                                    I feel to have made the biggest mistake of my life by choosing to go for Airtel, believing on their Ad's n reputation...Now am planning to go for a different service provider if this doesn't get resolved at the earliest. At the worst, I would consider the money I paid for the modem(which is refundable) as equivalent to toilet paper or got rob'd in daylight !.
                                    SHAME ON YOU AIRTEL!!, this is not the way to operate and if you continue with this 'ty practice, you are gonna die soon in this competitive market..

                                      Need to matter to be addressed urgently , as it has been more than 15 days now when i logged my first complaint on 15/10/11 to customer care of Airtel DTH at 12150 , i was provided the following service number[protected], but still now the problem has been unresolved.
                                      I called the customer care on 17th Oct, 18thOct , 19th Oct and so on , i had to explain everytime my problem to a new customer executive (as call lands everytime to a new person) then he/she provided me a service request number such as 13096961,13044772,12942971,12920001,12839601,12836044,12786232, and all these service number where closed without any service engineer visiting my house .So you can see that how may times i have called up , but still they have not responded

                                      Now i as a customer feels myself as getting harassed ,as i call customer care every day , even i have mailed them on [protected]@airtel.in but all invain, they give me a system generated number , and the go to sleep

                                      I have decided to move to another DTH service provider , but want a legal action to be taken against the company , for such consumer harassment and non-transparent hierarchy they have ,by which no customer can speak to their top management

                                      I need the amount invested on the purchase of the DTH back togetheer with penalty to be imposed to the company
                                      I know this problem are realty mai ise khud jhel raha hoon
                                      Ya same with me!
                                      Airtel should be curtailed of their license if they cannot provide service to their masses.

                                        I am really frustrated calling airtel persons there is no response from them. Firstly they have delayed in the installation and after installation my account has not been activated yet. my customer id is [protected]. I called at least 20 times but no worth calling.                                         I bought one HD box on 9th of January/2012 through online and till today (today is 17th January/2012) no phone call no installation has been done. If I call to the customer care only one answar "It will be done by tomorrow", that "tomorrow" will never come I think. It is one of the poorest service I have ever seen in my life. I advice to all not to go ahead with AirtelDH TV connection.
