    My AIRTEL DTH ID are [protected] & i have decided to take the 6 month advance rental plan with the same channel packages as were already available for viewing to me.but surprisingly when i had paid the 6 months advance rental the ZEE News channel has been removed from my list and when contacting to customer care thru e-mail & phone call they are not satisfactorily answered and the things happen 3-4 days. and finally they have suugested to pay extra amount to subscribe the ZEE News channel.
    if the channel is available before paying the advance rent of 6months than how it is removed and demand the extra money?? this is unfair practice and required the action..

      Dear Sir/ Madam,

      This is to bring to your kind attention about prompt service that we are not getting in case of calling up on your airtel customer care number [protected] and [protected].
      Our case is Mr. Shripad S. Shetye (senior Citizen) lost his airtel mobile having number [protected] (prepaid connection) about 8 days back and we were trying to call up the above airtel customer care numbers but we were unable to get any airtel customer executive online so that we could lodge complaint about this disconnection of lost airtel mobile number.

      Infact customer service executive should immediately be available on your customer care numbers so that we can tell about the problems we face and grievances, if any.
      But sorry to state that it is a poor service and we were really frustrated and had to rush our office boy to the Ghatkopar airtel gallery to lodge the complaint.
      Now the complaint has been given on number 999 and they have told to call after 12 hours on number 121 but through airtel number only. There should be some service where we can
      easily get in touch with the customer care executives from any non-airtel numbers.

      Kindly take action immediately and let me know whether the number [protected] has been disconnected.

      There should be easy service about disconnection when our own mobile is lost to avoid wrong usage by the receiver of the handset.

        Airtel has deducted rs 20 and started friends chat service without me sending any request. they have even not informed me about the start of the service and deduction. I came to know about deduction when on 16 feb 2010 at night when i checked my balance. I called customer care at 198 and came to know that rs 20 were deducted for friends chat service i told him that i have not activated the service but he refused to listen to me and cut the phone. I again called 198 and this time again the customer care person cut the phone and also stopped the service. So in this i was deducted rs 20 for a single day for a service which i didn'u use nor activated. When i again tried to call customer care i was not able to do so as it was disabled by them. This is total fraud and dadagiri. This is not about the money but about the cheating. I feel cheated and helpless as they have openely cheated me and i can't do anything about it

        Airtel — Unauthorised chat activation

        Hello Airtel guys, hope u read this complaint. I would like to publish this comment in the online consumer complaint form so that people would read the degree of corruption in the AIRTEL offices. My mother-in-law has an AIRTEL pre-paid connection which she has been using for over 2 years. Without her consent the AIRTEL guys have subscribed to "Chat services" with an intention to steal money from the pre-paid connection. She gets irritating calls from "loafers & third rated guys" that too beyond 11 PM. I shouted at the call center guy. After a few moments he gave me a confirmation that the "chat service" (rather unauthorized "chat activation") has been disabled. I challenge the AIRTEL guys to prove if the service was ever activated. I gave a standing instruction to these guys never to activate the "chat service"; but i am certain these AIRTEL guys would illegally activate the service and deduct the proportionate amount from the pre-paid account.

        I strictly warn you guys not to play the dirty game once again, else my next mail would to to the OMBUDSMAN with a copy to your CEO.

          THIS IS REGARDING MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY (MOBILE NUMBER [protected]). I HAVE SUBMITTED NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR MOBILE NUMBER PORTABILITY FROM AIRTEL TO TATA DOCOMO ON 04 FEB TO LOCAL RETAILER AFTER GETTING UNIQUE PORTING id ON 01 FEB2011. THE EXPIRY DATE FOR THE SAME IS 16 FEB 2011 AND THAT IS TODAY. AND SO FAR NOTHING HAS HAPPENED. IN THIS REGARD I CALLED THE CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVES OF BOTH THE SERVICE PROVIDERS MANY TIMES AND THERE IS NO POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM BOTH SIDES. BOTH THE SIDES ARE JUST ASKING TO CALL THE OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS(AIRTEL/DOCOMO) AND THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. FOR YOUR REFERANCE I JUST SPOKE TO Mr. PUKHRAJ, CUSTOMER CARE EXECUTIVE OF DOCOMO, HE ASKED ME TO DO THE SAME i.e TO CALL AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE. WHEN I SAID THAT I WILL COMPLAINT IN THE CONSUMER FORUM. THEN HE SAID HE IS CONNECTING TO HIS HIGHER SUPERVISOR FOR THE SAME. I KEPT THE MOBILE ON HOLD FOR 15 MINUTES AND THEN THE CALL AUTOMATICALLY DISCONNECTED FROM THEIR SIDE. MARELY PASSING BILLS IN PARLIAMENT DOESN'T CREATE THE SERVICES STREAM LINE. FOR THIS, THERE IS URGENT REQUIREMENT TO PUNISH SUCH SERVICE PROVIDERS WITH SUSPENSION OF THAT FIRM. THEN ONLY ALL THE SERVICE PROVIDERS CAN COME ON LINE. OTHERWISE THIS WILL KEEP ON HAPPENING WITH THE TODAYS CUSTOMER. I WANT YOU TO TAKE NECESSARY ACTION.

          I had the same issue.
          From Docomo, I got a message which reads like this:
          Your request has been rejected due to contractual obligation. Pls contact your existing service provider.

          I tried contacting Airtel- No response at all. Later I got a call from one of the Docomo agency and they told me to resend the porting request and tell them the Unique Porting ID. They said porting will be complete within next 7 days. Till now I din't get any response at all. My Mobile no. is [protected]
          hi...i wanna change my network from airtel to tata docomo...could u please help me about the process(instructions) i need to follow.

          I had the same issue.
          From Docomo, I got a message which reads like this:
          Your request has for Mnp Is succesfully done.

          but there is no portabilty since 1 month ([protected])
          yes now my request has been resolved. you must follow up ur request after submitting documents. You must speak to customer care regularly, although they don't listen. Note down the name of customer care executives and put up complaint in consumer forum. You have to get behind them, then only they will release the network.
          Airtel is one of the worst service providers in India. I had easily ported my idea no +91 [protected] to Airtel. Now since I am not happy with their services, I opted for porting to Tata Docomo. I gave the application on 25th April... for some reason or the other Airtel never stoped their service. I called the customer care they said some services are active and asked me to use RC12. I did that. Then they told me that they will do the porting on 7th July. Today it is 11th July and the porting has never happened.
          Airtel guys are crasy. When someone is not happy with your services u should let them go. But these useless guys give all kinds of tensions to the customers. Every time I go to their Koramangala center I hear someone shouts at there.
          If the concerned people in Airtel take a little salt in their meals let them satisfy their customers
          I AM HAVING A PROBLEM AGAINST AIRTEL.I ACTIVATED RS.53 SMS CARD FROM MY NUMBER ITSELF. ON THE SPOT I WAS CHARGED RS.53 FOR IT BUT BENEFITS REGARDING FREE SMS HAVE NOT BEEN PROVIDED YET.I CALLED SO MANY TIMES TO CUSTOMER CARE BUT ALL IN VAIN. AIRTEL IS PROVIDING WORST SERVICES AND I AM VERY MUCH DISAPPOINTED FROM THAT.

            I took Aritel Mobile Postpaid Connection 6 months back. I was unnecessarily being charged for a Value Added services namely Subscription Service Alerts since 6 months. Unaware of this I paid my bill for all the previous months. In the last month when I received a hard Copy of Bill, I realized that I didn't subscribe for that specific Alerts. When I called the Customer Care and inquired about this, they just said that my Mobile automatically activated for those services. I couldn't understand without my interference how could my Mobile on its own could activate a Value Added Service.

            Moreover, I also noticed that is it necessary to charge a Customer for getting support from the Customer Service? These people started charging 50ps per 3mins. Another interesting aspect is that, when I confirmed (generally by pressing some number) to talk to Customer Representative, just before getting connected to the Representative, the call will be Disconnected. This generally happens twice, and for the third time or fourth time when you call and confirm to connect to Representative then it will be successful. It is a prank played by the Service Provider to charge the Customer for 3 times i.e, 1.5rs just by pressing the confirmation button and not connecting to the Representative.

            Providers are becoming smart enough to charge the Customers unnecessarily.

            I would like to file a case on the Airtel for unnecessarily subscribing for Value Added Services without my permission and any prior intimation.

            Also I would like to request TRAI to take necessary steps to stop Service Providers eating away the Customer Money for the Support which they must provide for free of cost.

            hi friends...
            My name is Sunil. I also suffering from unnecessary activation of value added service by Airtel Mobile without any information . Just they are charging Rs.30 every month, even i called so many times customer care to stop service but i dint get any response from this.Finally i decided to switch another company.This in my kind suggestion to all friend to switch from Airtel to any other provider to get rid of type of problem.
            Airtel khule aam din daharde har ek costumer ke pocket marta hai aur hamara system has nothing to do, nothing to say our judicial system sits mum.

              Dear all concerned,

              A complaint was registered on 15-Feb-11 (complaint no. 5435093) regarding non-functionality of Airtel DTH. Upto now (20:00, 16-Feb-11), the same is not attended. Frequently the connection get disturbed, set top box malfunction frequently. On 15-Feb-11 while talking to Airtel customer care, I was advised to switch off the set top box & switch on again. I did so but set top box stopped working at all. Now since last one day, service is not working at all.

              I was told by the CSR that I have to pay the engineer visit charges as well as cost of set top box (350/-). I am not able to understand, why I have to pay if the equipment provided by Airtel does not work properly.

              I am facing problems since purchase of the system, few of them are listed below:-

              1. Set top box hangs frequently, the box was replaced by Airtel few months back
              2. Signal is disturbed/lost very often
              3. Features as committed by Airtel at the time of purchase never worked. I have been told to wait but since last more that 2 years, the feature never worked

              While talking to CSR or their local service providers (Mr. Kailash - +91 [protected]), I asked the mobile no. of responsible Airtel CS Manager but I was denied on account of company policy.

              Under the circumstances, I feel cheated and would like to take up the matter in Consumer court if the satisfactory & immediate solution is not provided. This is the situation when I am previllage customer of Airtel using 2 Mobile connections, Landline as well as DTH. HORRIBLE !!!! I MUST LOOK FOR OPTIONS !!!

              I wish that above message is reached to Airtel Management and my grievances are addressed immediately.

              Same problem we are facing. It just 4 months since we have subscribed for airtel and since than some or the other problems are occurring. For the last two weeks I am facing a problem that is error SM2. Even their customer care or technical personals not know about it. Last week they changed my setup box and today the same thing occurred again. I am fed up now. And worst part is they tell to hold 3-4 button on your st up box in such a way that you don't loose the press. My fingers started paining but nothing happened. I am fed up now.
              I also suggest not to buy any Airtel services

              My customer ID is [protected].I made the mistake of paying online for the new connection.I paid the bill of 1590 on 21st of feb 2011.the lady from ur customer care called and said that it would be done within 24hrs.But no body cared for more than 10 days.When i called your customer care they always said that please be online and we will forward it to the other authorities but each time they cut the call.After many unsuccesful attempt i somehow got the number of your area manager( mr. Rajesh gupta [protected]).After many calls and running here and ther my set top box was installed yesterday but the connection started today only.That also after making about 30 calls to ur customer care and area manager.After the connection got activated, within minutes, error code [protected]@ came and displayed that there is no signal and contact cutomer care.
              I must say that there is no limit to shamelessness in Airtel.I feel cheated and I am fed up of calling again and again to your useless area managers and customer care.
              I dont know if you will look into the matter or not but one thing is sure.I WONT SUGGEST ANYBODY TO BUY AIRTEL DTH.

                I have recharged with rs.24 msg pack and i got benefits for 2 days only....
                and after that me was gettin charged for each message from the 3rd day, kept on callin customer care, Airtel customer care is really a center. I dont know what else to say about there service.
                and senior VIVEK gave his number([protected]) to me and said if your problem is not solved then you can call me on that number and after that day his cell was switch off.....
                I have many questions about airtel services!!
                1. In call center how they can giv personal number??
                2. How can senior can giv his personal number? i dont know how he is been promoted to senior position?
                3. Why the complaint is launched?
                4. Why complaint is not solved on time?
                5. If complaint cant be solved why the service is been provide?
                6. What should i do now??

                  Hi,

                  i have requested for Airtel DTH relocation from customer care. Airtel has promised the same will be done on same day and given the number of his Dealer which is Kaizen communication kandivali. After multiple followup only excuses and stories to delay the relocation.

                  I brought the Airtel DTH in Dec 10.
                  Now i am relocated to new location, so i raised a request for the relocation which is included as per their agreement with chargeable amount of maximum 300 Rs.

                  I shifted to new place from 3rd March2011, and calling the Customer care for last 6 days and i only get the resolution will be done by today with time for which there is no trace from their executive.

                  Also i had the conversation with senior personnel at the Airtel DTH Service, where i got the same reply, but nothing has happened till date.

                  Also iam losing the subscription period for nothing.

                  Now when i called the manager at local service center of Airtel DTH , i get rude reply for the service and also the false commitments which is not addressed till date.

                  Please can you guide me for what action i should take for such nonsense and irresponsible service.

                    I am a airtel Broad Band user of Airtel in jabalpur city in Madhya Pradesh India . I am using airtel connection and 15 days before airtel reaches me offering some new plan called airtel BB999 ( broad band 999 ) via their telecaller and in which they offer 1 Mbps speed and 75 GB of data download for which i get the details of that plan so i agreed to migrated my current plan with the new one , but they do not activate my plan for 15 days when i reaches them they told me that they do not have this plan while other users of jabalpur city got that plan and also their plan is activated , i am putting all of my conversation which i had with airtel in this complaint .

                        This complain is regarding generating wrong bill, complain is company charge for message which are failed as per their system. I had already noted complain and doing followup for last six months, but there is no response. as per their officer once message hit systems its chargeable whether its delivered or failed, even nodal officer, customer care people, Appellate officer all say its wrong process, but they didn't took any step to solve.even there is no call from any technical person to resolve matter. also I had asked for message regarding 160 charactersas they say its rule made by TRAI but till date they haven't provide me proof.

                            We had applied for 2(Two) landline connection and one broadband connection from Airtel, Ernakulam, Kerala on 17th December. We were assured by their reps.Mr. Vinu([protected]) & Mr. Deepu([protected]) that the same will be installed within 2 days. We also received some SMS from Airtel telling us that the same will be installed in 3 working days. Our cheque for Rs. 500/- against the landline application has also been encashed on 21st December. Since 27th December we have written two emails to [protected]@airtel.in. We have received replies that our rep. will contact within 24 hrs., but no calls. Then we wrote an email each to Nodal officer, kerala on 6th January and Apetlate Authority, Kerala on 19th January & 29th january. From both places we received acknowledgement email assuring that we will receive a response within 3 days but we are still waiting for the same.

                            Please help us know the status of our application or suggest us where should we now approach. On the website of Aitel we are getting no suggestion as to further course of action.

                              I am using samsung GT-I5801 with my airtel no. [protected].In the begining days when i used my airtel number with this handset i got call summary details with call rate information at the end of the call.Also I was able to check my balance and validity.But now i am not able to check my balance and validity.Also i am not getting any message at the end of the call which will give information about the call rate.Please let me know what needs to be done for this problem.When i contacted the customer care they are not guiding properly.Also nowadays you people are charging for calls which we are making to talk with customer care exceutive,I am losing all my money in making call to customer care.Because after selecting the option to talk with customer care exceutive,its taking 5 mins to get connect with customer care executive.You are unneccessarily wasting our golden time with the cost of our money.

                              Please solve this problem ASAP.

                                This is to inform you that Airtel is deducting balance from my prepaid account for its unused Airtel Live Service namely ‘DID YOU KNOW FACTS’.

                                1. On Dec’10 and Jan’11 I received messages from Airtel saying that I have been charged RS.10 for activating ‘DID YOU KNOW FACTS’ service from Airtel Live, which I have never used.

                                2. From my prepaid account a total sum of Rs.50 was deducted in said period. I complained on 121 about this. The customer care executive admitted that this was done from their part and refunded the whole amount. After that the service was discontinued from my number without refunded the deducted amount.

                                3. Again on 11/2/11 I received similar message and Rs.10 were deducted from my prepaid account.


                                Is this the way that Airtel is supposed to deliver its services without intimating custmer.

                                I am feeling hopeless, kindly assist me gaining proper services and amount deducted from my account may be refunded at the earliest with deactivation of the service.

                                Also explain if Airtel cant take care of its customers, should I move to another service provider.

                                    Unwanted and nonredable messages from TD-55555, may be virus threat
                                    Dear Sir,
                                    Since last week i am receiving messages from TD-55555 which are not redable as along with english alphabets, there are certain characters in a word. This type of message is creating confusion and giving a thought of would be virus threat. I am using hanset Nokia 5233.

                                    I am also facing the same problem from the past few months. Same non readable, irritating and annoying messages from two senders: TD-55555 and DM-55555.

                                    I am using nokia handset with airtel carrier.

                                    That was not enough for those bloody senders, that they increased their sending frequncy to 1-2 messages per minute. Now i have my inbox full of their approx 500-600 messages in just 12 hrs.

                                    I request you to please look into the matter ASAP.

                                    Guys, If you are with Airtel, Send LAST to 121 to know the last 5 charges for your phone account. This will however not stop these unknown messages but will tell you what you are spending on for these messages.

                                    I have the same case of reveiving sms's from TD-55555 and the messages are jumbled alphabets and numbers which don't mean anyhting. I have found out that I am being charged for these stupid messages by some service for getting ringtones.

When I call on this Number [protected] Ms. Ekta picked my phone and I told her my problem but she said to me this offer is not available on your package we can’t help you if Mr. shantanu commit any wrong communication then sorry for it.
                                        Then I asked her raise complaint for my concern she said me I am not able to raise complaint because we can’t help you if someone commit wrong communication. Then I ask her to transfer my call to her senior and she said me I will transfer you call kindly hold line and she put my call on hold and disconnect my call. Kindly confirm why my call was disconnected by her. Then again I called to Ms. Bharti for telling her my this problem she said me I will arrange call back by Shantanu for you confirmation. But no call received yet.

                                        And Vriti Ms. Ruby Number is [protected] will charge twice for my this package 1590 rs and they said my it will return within 2 or 3 days but I am afraid after this commitments and behavior.


                                        Very frankly to say my first experience with Airtel is very very Poor and bad. Airtel is a big name in industry so I believe my problem will resolve very soon. Kindly resolve my this problem and arrange call back. Unless I have no other option to go Consumer court.

                                        Wrong billing for downloading of games by airtel without our consent and wrong charge [protected]

                                        I received by Mobile bill in April 2009 and shocked after saw that there was wrong billing of 893.00 for 11 SMS. I contact so many times for customer care but no satisfactory response received. On e-mail sent to them they have informed for charges of 893.00 for downloading of games. On 9/4/09 I saw my mobile with 3 nos of new games and subsequently received a SMS from airtel stating that we have loaded the games in your mobile. Immediately I contacted airtel customer care where they have informed me that the games are chargable for Rupees 99/-

                                        On equiry from My Seniors we found that they have also similar type of wrong billing for which we have disconnect our two connection of airtel.

                                        Earler I was a prepaid airtel customer and switch over for post paid connection.

                                        On this we observed this similar type of cheating by the company for all the customers of the country.

                                        We request company to wave off the same.
                                        i had made a recharge of 58 one month ago for local a2a 0.40 paise & others 0.60 paise. now Rs. 2 is being deducted from my account for which i called coustomer care to deactivate the service, but every time the message they told to send reply as "no such keyword found". i have alredy called 4 times. please look over it as soon as possible

                                        Airtel — Poor service and rude customer care.

                                        I am the user of mobile no. [protected]. for the past one month i am being charged for services which i have not subscribed for like, job alerts, matrimonial etc. on contacting customer care i had to face very rude behavior. a number of times i had been assured of solutions. which never happend . even i happen to contact the seniors sitting with costumer care but in vein. FINNALY I HAD LEFT IT AND FORCED TO SAY GOOD BYE TO AIRTEL. The number is active as my SIM is valid till Aug 2010 with nil balance till some miracle happens. AS SUCH GOOD BY AIRTEL!!!!!!!!!........

                                        Airtel — Wrong commitment and worst customer support

                                        Myself Pankaj Rawat and my contact number is [protected]. I have taken Airtel Net on phone(NOP) plan on 23rd of Oct 2009 and at the time of activating this plan i had talked to almost 4-5 airtel customer care executives regarding the benefits of this plan and they assured me that i can access gmail, yahoomail, rediffmail by activating this plan and there will be no extra charge for that. But when i had checked it is not working so i had complaint it toAitel [protected]@airtelindia.com, i had already sent almost 10-15 mails to them but didn't got any sufficient revert from their side.They are saying that i have to subscribe for Mobile office plan. Even the airtel customer care numbers(121 and 12132) are not working properly, in this at the time of transferring the call to customer care executive call automatically disconnects. Now i don't know to who is the concern person for solving this issue.

                                        Airtel / DTH — Installation not done

                                        Using DTH by Airtel:

                                        Recently I have shifted to another location and informed to Airtel for re-installation. My 1st order no.is47608474, after 3 days they gave me another no.3453056 with another 3 days extension, again when I called today (04.08.10) then they gave me another no.3477642 with 3 days extension. I was not expecting this type of response from company like Airtel. I have to call them on[protected] every time which costs me around Rs.20 and without watching TV I have to spend on recarging the account that is extra.
                                        I am frustrated calling them and want some solution by consumer forum.
                                        Please help me out.

Recharge your account for Rs150 and get ESPN, STAR Sports channels FREE for 1 months.I had recharged my account with 150 on 14.2.2011 at 7.30 but not get these channels.It`s very bed experience with Airtel TV.

                                        Pls do the needfull asap.
                                        this the worst customer care of airtel.. i had 150 snms free per day.. now it changed to 100 sms per day..tats fine.. but till now i did 44 sms from morning m getting charge for each sms of 1.5rs.. wat the hell is going on..i ve called customer care nd spoke to them ... i got the worst response.. they all r giving fake replies.. if i won get solution means ll cum to airtel office nd complaint on u ppl..

                                        Airtel DTH — No installation after 3 days

                                        Hello,

                                        Airtel DTH has been utterly frustrating from day 1 even before installation. I have booked a HD connection with an ultra pack. But 3 days passed and no body even called me for installation. My customer ID is [protected]. And to my shock airtel DTH customer care (12148) has the most unprofessional people sitting and listening your complains. They keep on disconnecting the line for 70% of the occasions and for the remaining 29% kept on giving false commitments. And to the heights of my shock they cant even speak proper english. All the managers in the customer care department are most of the time in lunch or dinner or not to be found when required. And to tarnish the image of airtel (whom i always advocated in the past to be the best) the cust care rep says that their system is down/slow or there is shortage of HD boxes (Crap!!!).

                                        I am sorry my Mr. Sunil Bharati, but your DTH team needs some correction. They are pathetic and utterly unprofessional. And i am really having a tough time.

                                        Please do look at the matter and get my installation done.

                                        I AM STILL WAITING.......
