I had paid an amount of rs. 1020.50 on 15.02.2020 to optival health solutions through amazonpay. The transaction was successful and amount of rs. 100 was given by amazonpay as cashback as per the provision. But, the local store of optival (Medplus) informed that, they did not receive any amount.
Again, i had to pay the amount through amazonpay and this time the transaction was reported to be successful. I immediately lodged complaint with optival and amazon for refund of the amount debited for the so called failed transaction (1st. One)
Upon contacting the amazon, they told that, the amount will be credited 3-5 after the amount is received from optival.
On 19.02.2020, optival refunded the amount. But, amazon, in their statement showed that, rs. 661.22 would be credited to the a/c. Form which the amount has been debited from. But, the same amount has not yet been credited to the account from which it was debited, although a week is going to lapse.
On the other hand, amazon took back the cashback of rs. 100 on the plea that, the transaction is unsuccessful. If it is so, then, amazon could have provided the cashback for the next transaction made to optival.
I feel, the customers are being harassed by such companies citing the stipulations of rbi. Till date, the amount debited has not been credited and it is not known how much time the company would take to refund the money.
Besides, the issue that, amazon has provided a lolypop by giving the cashback and then it took back should be taken up.
Amazon India customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
