Hi Sir/Madam, I bought a Shoe on 8th september around 9 p.m. in Bata Shoe Store, Thuraipakkam, Chennai-600096. I did not notice properly when i am buying this shoe. Today(10th september) i noticed small tear on the side of the shoe. And i verified in my first photograph of the shoe which is taken at 9th september 10 .10 A.m. The photograph conformed that the damage is occurred at the time of purchase itself. Shoe Model No:[protected]. It is really disappointed the product is damaged when i'm noticing on the second day itself. Really Bata is great if they exchange the product. I attached the screenshot of bill and the damaged product.

    My name is shiva reddy, I have purchased two pairs of sandals by using my SBI Debit Card (622XX4704) for a purchase worth of Rs.2200.00 in 8th July 2015, at DWARAKANAGAR No : 37 - 14 - 7A Dwaraka Nagar, Visakapatanam, Andhra Pradesh 530016, on 5th September 2015 one of my sandals has been damaged, immediately I have approach at above store where I have bought my sandals. I have not been received well by the branch manager and he is ignorant and not bothered to listen to my complaint and insisting me to get the bill but where I have submitted my account statement as I swiped my debit card to pay the bill at the store above, Branch Manager is asking me to come after two days for launching my complaint. This incident gave me immense dissatisfaction and I lost trust on Brand Bata and People working in it.

    Hereby i would like to inform that complaint which was raised on 7th September 2015, complaint has been registered by Bata India and mail was send to my mail id with the reference complaint number 472188, and issued has been solved on 9th September 2015, by replacing damaged sandals with a new pair of sandals for which i am thank full to indian consumer complaint forum and Bata India for quick response on consumer complaint.

      Dear sir, i have purchase shoes from mazgaon bata shop no. 02518 shoes model no. 821 - 6768 shoes no. 10 rs. 1299 / - its purchase on 24 / 5 / 2015. However, its has been damage in monsoon season within 3 months i have put complain on 17 / 08 / 2015, but customer care personnel told we have process your complain and you will get email on your email box. But i have received any from them. Kindly look into matter at the earliest and resolve the same

        Customer Name : Mr. Avinash Article No. : 674-5164 Complaint No. : CRF466936 Store address: 01A71/3, DD Urs Road, Devaraja Mohalla, Mysuru, Karnataka 570001 10th of Aug 2015, I bought a pair of Dr Scholls sandals for my mother. After wearing it exactly once for 20 mins, she experienced severe pain on the ball of her right feet which resulted in limping for the next two days and repeated pain killer usage. I went and inquired politely at the store we bought about possible replacement of the product assuming that there must be something wrong with the product that is not apparently to the naked eye. The manager apparently is not available for any conversation physically or by phone between the times of 3.00 - 6.30 PM as it is his lunch time (3.5 hours and it wasn't even an exaggeration). The sales representative clearly disregarded our request and mentioned that he won't entertain any such exchange requests because it was tried once in the store before buying and was subsequently used for 20 mins. After repeated calls to the customer service people (First time the complaint was lodged but they couldn't find the complaint when I called to inquire about its progress), I have successfully managed to get my complaint officially lodged into the data base. Unfortunately their resolution team thinks that me going and talking to the store owner is the only way to resolve the replacement issue that I am facing. As a customer, this is what I am NOT going to do: Go to that store again ever in my life and talk to sales rep and the manager. However, I want to give another shot to the resolution team to help me with this issue. I want to get a replacement of the product, or I will continue with escalating this issue. Not because I have spent 1999/- on a product from your company but because of the way you make me feel as a customer when I come to your store or call your customer service people.

          I had ordered two shoes on[protected] having order no[protected].but it was cancled by bata automatically, because the order had in sale.next time on[protected] having order no[protected] i had ordered 3 shoes among which they delivered 1 shoe which was not in sale and the rest 2 shoes they didnot deliver.i called customer service to know the reason but they simply told that the order had been canceled, they didnot have stock.but still the shoe was showing in bata.in site.and the order tracking status is processing.they simply make people fool by showing sale in their site bata.in.i wanna my order should be delivered to me.

            I purchased formal bata shoes from M.I. Road, Jaipur bata showroom on 1st August, 2015. After use of less than one month, top layer from front part has started to come out. Now, I can't wear it because it started seeing ugly from front now. I don't think it is leather shoe for which bata company is known. Can you suggest me what solution I have ? Should I go to store for replacement ?

                      Dear Team, On DT 18th Aug 2015 (Time 20:03:12), I purchased one sandal amounting Rs. 699/- from Bata India Ltd. (Address- Bata Shoe Store (556/02085), B-283, 1st Floor, Padke Road, Dombivali (East) – 421 201). The same time I was given cash amounting Rs. 700/- & as per the bill amount the cashier was supposed to give Rs. 1/- back, but was not happened & I also ignored as just a matter of one rupee. While selling the product, he committed that if any kind of defect in the product then can be replaced after submission of the bill. On DT 20th Aug 2015, I observed that the stitches of right leg sandal got damaged. I visited at the same showroom around 20:15 and met Mr. B.K.Mishra (Sales person) for replacement. He was giving me another sandal but that was also damaged. I asked for another one, but he said that if you want to take then take or else take your cash back which is against your policy as mentioned on the bill (NO CASH REFUND), and literally he had thrown the cash Rs. 700/- on the counter table. There is no complaint against anyone but sharing my experience with you. If you really believe on the CUSTOMER SATISFACTION/ AFTER SALES SERVICE concept, we expect better approach towards customers from your representatives as they are presenting a good brand name i.e. “BATA”.                         I purchased a Hush Puppy Sandal from Bata Lucknow on 23.02.2015 at Rs.1799/- Within 3 months of wearing it it started to wear off and last weekend it broke down completely. Getting Torn apart within 6 months of purchase is very unfortunate. This brings Bad name to such a reputed Brand. I am currently staying in Mumbai. Please arrange to get this thing repaired of replace if repair is not possible.                           We have purchased one Ladies Shoes Rs.499/- 1.6 months back from Hyderabadad SR Nagar.2 times it has broken.When we went they the Manager told you have broken this. 1st time it has broken within 1 month they have repaired and given .2nd time it has broken within 15 days.He told we will not give another shoe only repair.When we have told we will complain he told go and give complain on Customer Service. My question is why people will purchase Bata shoe and will paid higher price. It willbe beter to take footpath shoe. Why you are Fraud to the Customer ? This is the answer we will get from the Manager from Bata. This is very disgusting. I want to take New shoe inreplace of old one . Please reply me immediately otherwise I will do Consumer case against you.

                            Dear Sir, On 14.08.2015 I have purchased a school shoe from your 80, Bentinck Street store for my son. The cost of this shoe is Rs. 750/-. 16.08.2015 was 13th birthday of my son. It was a small gift for my son. 15.08.2015 was Independence day & 16.08.2015 was Sunday. On 17.08.2015 he was gone school with his new shoe but unfortunately pasting of both the sole (Toe portion) totally removed. My son is asking “PAPA YOU BOGHT IT FROM FOOT PATH FOR MY BIRTHDAY GIFT?” I am very much disappointed in this matter. Yesterday I have lodged complaint through your toll free no. Complaint no. is 461544. You customer care executive assured me that complaint should be reflected in my e mail id but unfortunately it is also not reflected. At present I am out of KOLKATA & not able to go to the store for replacement, my wife will not able to do this work. So I request you to please send your person to my house and replace the defective shoe. I think if you send your person to my house for replacing this, my son should realize that “HIS FATHER PURCHASED HIS BIRTHDAY GIFT FROM BATA ONLY NOT FROM FOOTPATH.” Awaiting for your favourable reply.                                 To whomsover it may concern, I would like to bring to your notice that I had bought a pair of boots from the Footin shop at sahara mall on 26th June 2015. When I paid the bill I was offered the shoes in a poly bag instead of a box. When I insisted on getting a box, the shopkeeper started searching for one and it was then that I located a visible cut in the boots. I informed about the same to the shopkeeper to which he replied that I could keep the cash memo with me as the bill was already paid and that I could collect the boots on subsequent Monday. As I had my office during weekdays, I could only manage to reach the shop on the following Sunday i.e. 2nd August and I was informed that the boots were sold out as I didn't reach on time. I was furious by then and was told that I could get the boots the next day on which I disagreed as I couldn't leave my ofice just to collect the boots. I was further asked to share my address details so that the boots could be couriered to my place and I was informed that I will be receiving them latest by Monday i.e. 3rd August. It's 6th August already and I haven't received any call from the shop and I haven't heard anything back about the delivery of my boots. When I try calling the number provided to me at the time of purchase, it always says Out of Network Area. I received an auto generated response after 2 days of me lodging a complaint and once I received it, I waited for another couple of days before I called up the customer are where I was told that there was no supervisor available to take my call. I then received a call the next day stating that I will receive my boots positively by Monday, i.e. 08/10. I waited for the entire day and didn't even receive a call back. I AM GRAVELY DISAPPOINTED BY THE KIND OF SERVICE THAT I HAVE RECEIVED. I have made up my mind NOT to buy anything from the shop again. I am an MBA and a manager at a repuyed firm and I know how to keep the customers satisfied, however Footin has completely failed in this. Consider this as an official complaint.

                                  On 29 July 2015 I purchased several items from Bata Showroom, G-15, South Extn Part-1, New Delhi vide Cash memo no. 29-07-15/1/0010 bill amount Rs. 10, 631.50/- which included 01 pair HUSH PUPPIES shoes, 01 pair POWER shoes, 5 pair Hush Puppies socks, 2 pair POWER socks, 01 HUSH PUPPIES Shoe Brush & 01 HUSH PUPPIES Shoe Polish. All the products were in original packing. Shoes were taken trial hence fitting was O.K. However the fitting trial for socks was not taken as it was believed to be of free size and of premium quality. However after reaching home when I wore Hush Puppies socks, it was very ill fitting and after one day only only it became loose like substandard road side vendor socks. I tried two other socks from the same pack. They were also way behind in comfort, fitting and quality. On Customer Care No.[protected] I lodged complaint no. 453808 on 05 August 2015 However on 10 August 2015 I got a mail from Bata “ With reference to the concern raised by you, we would like to inform you that socks, shoe care and foot care products or other non-footwear items are not covered under the replacement policy. Hence we regret that we would not be able to extend the option of replacement of the article”. I am astonished to receive this mail. I opted for HUSH PUPPIES as BATA’s Premium quality products and finding defect in its quality, within one week I reported the matter to customer care. Now I am getting this mail which implies that defective merchandize sold with the premium tag will not replaced or refunded. But Bata’s Claim Policy itself acknowledges that “there can be few exceptions of defective merchandize among the millions we manufacture and sell”. Then why are they selling these defective merchandize with overpriced premium brand tagging? Why should a customer pay full price for these articles when they will be neither replaced nor refunded in full. Why the defective lot is cleared at quality checks, not branded as defective and make blind use of customers faith. I am not at all satisfied with the reply of customer care. I want either the replacement or the refund for defective product. Last year in May-June 2014 also I faced similar issue and that time also it was resolved only after protracted mails and phone calls. I asked Mr. Nitesh from Bata that why don’t you resolve the issue in the first instance instead of harassing the customer and raising the levels of complaints. He assured that I will not face the similar treatment again but sorry to say the trend continues without any improvement. from [protected]@gmail.com [protected]

                                    Dear Sir / Madam, I have purchased a leather footwear (Article no. F[protected]) from Bata store at H-3 Kingsway Camp, Hudson Lane, New Delhi (Ph :[protected] on 22/7/2015. I am herewith attaching the cash memo (no. 03485). I wished to exchange my product as I was not satisfied with the design. The store asked me to come back after a few days when they have other designs. (visit #2). However when I revisited (visit #3) no other designs had arrived so I was asked to visit the store at Kamla Nagar. But when I went there I was turned away saying that I cannot change the design at a different store. (visit #4) Next day I went back to the original store (visit #5) who now asked me to visit another store at Connaught Place & to make them speak on the phone with the store manager. They assured me that the product will be changed. In Connaught Place I was asked by the store at B-block (visit #6) to go to another store in the same area (near Regal Cinema Hall). Here (visit #7) I was told (for the first time after so many visits) that I need to get the approval request before I exchange the product at a different store. So I called customer service right there from the store ([protected]) and placed a request for approval to exchange my product at a different store from the one I purchased from. My request was accepted ( no. 454280, dt. 5/8/2015) & I was told that I will be mailed the approval no. in 1-2 working days. I requested the person if I could exchange the product now as I had placed the request & was already in the store. But I was told that I could do so only after getting the approval no. Yesterday (7/8/2015) I called the customer service again (call #2) as I did not get any mail after the first request acknowledgment mail & was explained that approval no. could be obtained at the store directly by making the store manager speak to the customer service. I was unhappy because I had tried explaining the same while placing the request but the person had insisted that I could not exchange it that day because of which I had to come back. She assured me that I will be receiving the mail within 24 hours. But I have not received the mail yet. I again called customer service today (call #3) but was told that I will receive the mail within 2 days. I still haven't been able to exchange my product. I have spent ₹300-400 on auto rickshaw rides to different stores. Not to mention the time I have wasted visiting stores, making calls & writing mails. Please help me so that I am able to exchange my product with minimum hassles from now on. Thanking you in grateful anticipation. Yours sincerely Saket Sinha

                                      I had purchased a pair of slippers from Bata stores at Sector 15, CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai on 27-7-15, vide Cash Memo 27-7-15 / 011 02344 for Rs. 125 and as requested by the cashier gave my mobile number. later, I received sms from Bata saying - " welcome to bata club . u have earned 1.0 points on ur 1st purchase. Also enjoy 50 bonus points worth Rs.50 valid for 30 days. Visit bata to enjoy more benefits.Tnc" accordingly, to avail this benefit I armed with the cash memo and SMS received, went to buy another pair to the same Bata store at CBD, on monday 3-8-15, and wanted to purchase another pair, But bata coolly refused to give any benefit promised in the sms by giving an excuse- "this cannot be redeemed in my computer". when Bata does not want to give any benefit why make customers as by hanging a CARROT ? such false offers are nothing but dangling a carrot ! it does not suit big companies like Bata to resort to such malpractices to entice customers ! Shame on you Bata ! when you spend so much on Advertisement budgets, such dishonest offers give you a world of bad publicity Moral of the story- never trust bata again ! never trust their offers ! kaur

                                      I purchased from Bata India Ltd, 625 DH Road Kolkata-34, (bill No 28-02-16/1/0035) and I received msg on my mob as provided at time of billing that Rs. 100 Bonus Cash points to my a/c was given with expiry on 01 May 16. Actually I forgot the offer but my son remembered and on 01/05/16 he wanted to shop and insisted to visit Bata Show Room. We visited same shop and I selected a pair of shoes and other items. When I asked the cashier about this offer he said "line (internet) is not available ...slow... etc etc, ..." then he started billing process accordingly I received code in my mobile number which was provided to him (cashier). but bill generated with full amount and no bonus cash points was deducted from the amount...and he tendered me the bill of full amount... by the time another msg followed " thanks for redeeming your points . Total points redeemed 100. Your Bata Club Account now has 5.0 points. See you soon" It seems to me as a mockery, I asked him to cancel the items and I left the shop with disgust as I was fooled by Bata India. Biswajit

                                      My problem is similar to one faced by Sarkar. I hv recd 100 bonus points (valid 9 Jun 17). Today 28 May Sunday I wanted to purchase rain wear worth ₹ 179. I wished to cash in my bonus points at the cash counter, but he refused saying first dat it had to b encashed before 1 week.. and wen I showed him the validity up to 9 Jun, he went on to say net slow and to come on Tuesday..Why did I have to go thru this? I hv not purchased today and hv been asked to come on Tuesday.. I m working lady and due health issues might not b able travel and come again, however i feel there Shud had been some way to honour d customer in ur esteemed Bata shop.
