It appears that the fact of complain lodged on 29.05.08 was denied on03.06.08at01.44pm and accepted onthe same day at 01.45pm.My question is as 29.05.08 was earlier date than03.06.08 at01.44 pm, then for which purpose they send the said e.mail that the complain was not properly lodged?
I think that it is an example for their non efficiency in every sphere and non caring attitude to the customer.

I want to know the rates of tariff of ISD calls from BSNL Fixed Landline telephone connection of Behala Telephone Exchange, Kolkata. The same is not mentioned in the Tariff Rates of B-phone in the website of The Calcutta Telephones.

Orissa, I am an existing consumer of BSNL landline connection since 10yrs, having the no[protected], but my telephone not working from 30/09/2008. So that I have facing so many problems due to not working my phone and very unsatisfied against this departmental service. In this session, my Father was expired. I was not able to contact my relatives for information. I had many time complaints in telephone exchange but they are presented themselves in indecency manner.I had already visit (Anglo and Jajpur Town with Mr.H.K.Mohanty).Till date they have no respond and never came my premises and my area. Please take a needful action.

My uncle, aging almost 77 plus, leaves alone at Bhowanipur. His greatest link to us all, as well for other important civic requirements essential for an old man, is through a telephone having No[protected]. Since more than two weeks this phone is giving a one way function depriving my uncle to hear what the other side is saying to him.
Three complaints have already been lodged with no result worth mentioning except a call against the first complaint when someone from the telephone department took notice of the exact nature of the complaint.
Today a fresh complaint is again lodged having Docket No. B 9076.
I am quite aware of the load BSNL so successfully carries inspite o[censored]mpteen infrastructural limitations and, hence, humbly request not to construe this as a complaint to any one wosoever deals with such matters. My only request is to do whatever you kindly can to help a man in his twilight years.

The nature of all the complaints and the responses received by each leads to one bottom line...

"Fate of poor customers are in the hands of the all mighty BSNL, and they refuse to be customer-friendly, come what may..."

When it comes to service, I have faced similar problems with my broadband connection, lodged complaints only to receive new phone numbers each time to correctly solve my problem, and the last one I received "24352200" is "out-of-order". And quite inevitably my problem remains unsolved...

Ironically when BSNL themselves have their exchange telephones "out-of-order", its useless for us to depend on them to resolve our problems. Its better to surrender your lines and opt for some other customer-friendly service provider, but beware of atleast one big name who carries almost similar attitude as of its elder brother when it comes to customer service.

My landline no is 25913594, in krishnapur, kol-101.It become noise after few day repeatedly. Somedays ago it was repaired after complaing 3times.Again it become noise.I lodge the complant 3 times by dialing 198.But no action taken by authority till now. please take kind attention if this.
This is my second letter following another complaint today under docket No. B331 against the mis-functioning phone[protected]. It is surprising that how the Telephone authorities overlooked my previous letter for so long in this webpage. It has crossed more than a month with a persinting one way conversation in the given number, and I have, almost, lost track of all the complaints that I had lodged with the Calcutta Telephone during this last month.
I repeat my problem in BOLD LETTERS as under for your doing the needful :

However, I could not get the same through 1502/1503. The instructions do not cover land lines. 1. I HAVE PAID BILL ON DECEMBER, 2008, I HAVE GOT A MESSAGE IN MY MAIL FOE BILL PAYMENT AND ALSO CONFIRM BY CHECK CLEARATION FROM BANK AGAINST MY BILL. BUT BSNL OUT GOING LINE IS DISCONNECTING IN MY LAND LINE. AGAIN I HAVE COMPLAIN IN 1500, AFTER 24 HRS I HAVE GOT OUT GOING CALL, THIS IS THE
NEGLIGENCY DUTY OF BSNL OFFICE.
2. AGAIN I HAVE PAID BILL ON 26TH FEB 2009 RS-774/-. AHTER 2MONTH (21/04/09) MY TELEPHONE IS DEATH.I HAVE ENQUIRED IN ACCOUNTS OFFICER HE TOLD TO ME, YOU DO NOT PAY THE BILL ON FEB 2009, HOW, ALREADY I HAVE PAID BILL ON 26TH FEB 2009, THIS IS PROVE BY BANKING STATEMENT.IN THIS MOMENT THIS STATEMENT IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ME.IF I GO TO BANK THEYWILL GIVE THE STATEMENT. I AM HARRAESMENT FROM NEGLIGENCY DUTY OF BSNL ACCOUNTS OFFICER[protected], 0661/ 0638).

I have been facing tremendous problem with my broadband connection from the day one.My telephone [protected] is also malfunctioning since last six to seven months.After several dockets my broadband connection is restored for a short tenure but again problem with the connection.Moreover for my telephone, if an incoming or outgoing call is made, while the broadband is on, the modem is hanged for several minutes.
I was assured by your office that my broadband and telephone connection is restored but the problem arises from the very next day.
I am really befuddled.
Please look into the matter to restore my broadband as well as telephone line in no time.

Earlier complaint No. U2692 dated 23.5.2009 lodged in Taratolla Telephone Exchange in connection with the telephone no 2401 2399 has not yet been attended till date. The original complain was about severe disturbance in the telephone line which makes it impossible to hear the voices of either side and some times the inward calls are not available.

I haven't received my telephone bill for the landline no : [protected].Please provide me the customer id so that I can pay my bill online.
My landline No. is 24816877. Last three weeks the line has been lying dead and whenever I complained I was simply advised that "thre is underground fault and it is under rpairing". My last complained docket No.is C5812 dt 27/07/2009. When I visited concern officer I was given the same reply yesterday around 3 pm. Around 4-30 PM I saw one lineman was working on the telephone joint box just in front of my flat. I got down and asked him to check my line. He told me that your line has no fault and he showed me some open cables hanging in the telephon post down my flat. I saw wires of two cables are joined due to wind and when he detached the joint my telephone started working. He explained that in our area concerned lineman never paid a visit and whenevr any complain lodged he simply advised his hireups that it was underground fault. Such happened twice in my case. The matter was brught to the notice of concerned officer Mr. Pandey (at Ranikuthi BSNL Office) yesterday and I had requested him to take appropriate action against the line man in our area. What happend, from today morning my telephone started warning me "You are in default and your line has been temporarily disconnected". I have not committed any default and I have paid all my bills timely which could be viewed in internet. My two Bills of Internet and landline were paid on the 27.07.09 when I lodged my complaint personally.

Under this circumstances I would rather request BSNL to ask us to surrender our line and ask us why are we paying loyality to our Public Sector Company instead of going to companies under Private Sector.

duly docketed vide no.I-6781 dt.03.10.09.My complain is remaining unattended as a result i am unable to use my landline[protected].

My telephone number is 25135686. On receiving my Sept'09 telephone bill, I noted with my utter surprise that an amount of Rs.107.45 has been charged as the late fine. The due date of Aug'09 bill was 1.9.09 but I deposited the bill on 5th October'09. As such, a sum of Rs.20.52 should have been charged (as I learnt from Aug'09 bill). I also failed to understand as to how the system showed the Aug'09 as "unpaid" even after making the payment.
I hope you will correct your record and send me a fresh bill so that I can make payment of September'09 bill. I also request your kind attention to this matter and inform me accordingly.

BSNL — LANDLINE NOT WORKING SINCE 5 MONTHS

My telephone landline No.27757906 is not working since last five months. I have no dues. The complaint number recently they gave is [protected]. Kindly rectify at the earliest.

I have submitted an application for changing my land line receiver set on 18/11/09 at Behala Exchange and later recorded the claim at New Alipore telephone office on 19.1.09. The set becomes unserviceble during rainy season and at present ring is not audible, sometimes few dialing rids do not work at all. 4-5 years back I repeteadly complained but I was asked to procure personal set. I was using my personal set till 18/1/09. Now I request either a good receiver with caller ID facility should be supplied to me or take back the old set and monthly rent should be deducted in the monthly bill.

BSNL — response to consumer queries

It appers that BSNL, a previous Government Dept is sure to face the fate of dinosauers, that is extinction.The Company is not accustomed to treat the consumer with respect and has not come out of the mind set of the government. They are habituated with ordinery citizens queing up for services doled out by a government with scarse resources. Rampant corruption prevails at all levels-its lower level personnel do the most routine service only for some bakshish in return. I had th eexperience of paying bakshish too return an instrument after surrender of land line.

The management of BSNL should introspect whether they can do any thing equal or better than what the private telcos are already doing.They have gone down in the rankings and survive on governmental and PSU customes. Infact for a country like India and its common people a government telecom company is very much essential. But BSNL with its culture and attitude is not the agency for the same.Its personnel were goverment employees.who have no respect for the consumer. Its web sites and response mechanisms are the most ordinery,in fact they are unresponsive.Better dismantle the entire out fit and create some thing new would be the solution.

    I have made innumerable complaints regarding the poor performance of BSNL broadband connection on my phone no[protected], the DSL light frequently disappears and the broadband connection stops, many a times staff have turned up but have not solved the problem, they say that wiring is to be changed but take no action.     I am also having the same problem of frequent disconnection of broadband. I also lodged comlaints. BSNL technicians say that the problem is with wiring. But, as and when the disconnection occurs, I am rebooting the ADSL Modem and I am getting the connection immediately. If the problem is with wring, how can I establish the connection every time I reboot the modem? In my opinion, the problem may be with modem or setting. Alternatively, BSNL may be designating the catogory "connection on demand". If any one has found a solution, please publish in this column to help others to set up the modem properly.

Every time I have to complaint to the local office which is in the circle Rohtak-Jhajjar and the sub branch is Beri. Before 15 days I directly went to the Jhajjar Branch there I got a honey capsule by the Beri area JE. He told me that he will look after the matter and will do the needful. But it's all are sit. This is the reason why people don't want a BSNL Landline. So it's a kind request to you that please look into the matter and again do the needful.

          If cell phones can indicate usage of phones instantaneously by indicating the charges for the calls made and the total billing so far, is it not possible to find out same way thru a portal, the usage of landlines and the total bill ( of the current month) on a daily basis ( if one wants to) by a BSNL landline user?               This is Vijayakumar, resident of Madhava Nagar, Miyapur (500081), Hyderabad, Andharapradesh. I am a BSNL customer since November 2007 (both landline - One India Plan as well as broadband - Home 500C Plan). I received a SMS from BSNL portal on 10th June 2008 stating that my bill amount for the month of May 2008 for the connection number 23041261 as Rs. 12722/-. The above bill amount was surprising to me, because my monthly bill amount for the past 6 months i.e. from the date of intallation ranges between Rs. 263/- to Rs. 1637/-. Since I was not in station for the past 20 days, I could not follow it up with the customer care. After returning back on 26th June 2008, when I checked with the customer care (Phone Number[protected], I have been informed to write a letter to the Area Manager, Lingampally, Hyderabad to investigate the matter.

              When I registered a complaint on 27th June 2008 with the Area Manager, I have been informed to make the payment first because the investigation will take 2 - 3 months of time. If I wont make the payment, connection will be disconnected. If the difference is Rs. 1000/- to 2000/-, I can make the payment and wait for BSNL investigation result. But in this case it is 20 times of my normal bill. I kindly request the respective authorities to take necessary action to help me out of this problem.

                The website [protected]@bsnl.in does not open at all .Moreover the Customer care people are so pathetic that they do not provide any appropriate information and just release/ disconnects the Call .
                The User name and the password is always incorrect when it is entered in the website even though i type it in the same way as i type it to connect to the internet.

                Please provide me with an alternative website to check the account usage .
                Looking forward to you response .

                hi i buy the broad band connection from bsnl the service is not so good i live in kashmir the bsnl service is sometime working some times not working and also some times when there is little bit rain it is not possible that it works at that time it was better that i was using the netone service. Also the bill is so high which is impossible.

                hi i think there is some problem with bsnl broadband site because sometimes when i checked my account usage for current month or previous months it shows that "NO USAGE RECORD FOUND" which is a nuesance .I think this site is not regularly updated and that's why sometimes it shows unexpected results .
                i'm unable to check my bsnl broadband usage since the last week of december 2008.the site bbservice.bsnl.in is not showing the months to check the usage details, though the page is displayed.please help or give some other idea to view my usage details.

                I have taken bsnl broad band connection from bsnl and have also purchased modem type ZXDSL831 AII.
                First of all I didnot get the connection even after applying for more than ten days. After continuous follw up Ifinally got it, i.e, the bsnl person simply handed over me the modem and said that go and install it by following procedure. Even after adopting the same procedure I havenot got the connection done, on contacting the concerned people in BSNL office, they havenot given me any solution but in turn told me that they donot want to talk on phine. Really, it looks very odd that in present scenario when entire world is facing recession and great competion in local market, the BSNL staff has such a courage to ignore its coustomre. Really, it is strange...
                I've trying to open the portal www.data.bsnl.in for the last 15 days.But it does not open.
                The people sitting out in the NIV they call which is their customer service center do not have any answer to as to why the link is down for so long.
                Apparently what happens is that there is a sense of insecurity as to how much is left.
                So cant even use it just because of the fear of extra charges there are after you exceed the limit.

                Its a shame that the country's largest service providers are not at par when it comes to service...
                Its time they remember their slogan "We Value Customers"
                i can not see in my broadband usage time

                    I am having a post paid connection against Plan-100, having no [protected], from Barasat, Kolkata, few years ago. But unfortunately, I am not receiving any bills from your end for last one and half years. I have been forced to make ECS payment regularly, but as I need the bill copy for checking & claiming purpose, I am facing diffulties since long. Several times, I have tried over phone /went & discussed the matter in Customer Care Office at Barasat, talked with the Courier phone nos. given by them earlier but failed miserably.
                    In view of above, I am having no other alternative but to surrender the said connection.

                        We are from Ambattur and we have a bsnl broad band connection in our home.Today morning our broad band did not connect properly, when we complaint this to Ambattur Bsnl office, AE of the office replied rudely that we are comming in the early morning and added that it will take about 2 days to repair problem. Kindly take some action on him and warn him not to do this to any body else.
                        Dear Sir,

                        I have Landline & Broadband Connection through[protected] since last one and half month we could not get continues connection of internet for the same. I had complain frequently but I could not get any proper answer. In day we are trying more then 40 time but nobody is ready to attained our telephone ( Panigate Exchange, Vadodara). In a private section their max. time limit is not more than 16 hrs. within this time they have to solve this problem otherwise they are suppose to increase our internet hrs. accordingly.

                        Kindly look in this matter and solve this at early hrs.

                          Dont contact customer care of BSNL. they are giving really annoying replies.
                          I took a post paid connection from reliance, I am getting promotional sms entire day, I called up to cust. care to stop sending SMSs, they replied they can not stop it and you have to be bother for at least 45 days.

                            I got connection (HOME 500 C) in July 01, 2008. But they didnt give us Portal ID and Password. They give us at 28th of July. And I saw chargeable used space is 8.7 GB.
                            There is only one word for them THIEF. BSNL Broadband is THIEF. Now they will charge for 7-8000 Rs for used extra space. But everybody knows that for this prise I can get unlimited net for 3 months IN buiziness.                               bbservice.bsnl.in page is not opening insetead of that page dataone page is being opened
                              i'm not able to see my brondband usage for the past 10 days, bbservice is not opening. how can i see my usage?

                              I have the same problem. Dont use any broadband plan that has usage limit.
                              Better choose or go for UNLIMITED PLAN !!! even at 256 kbps, its better.
                              Be careful, bsnl said that switching to another plan is free of cost. If somebody asks money only for changing the plan, its unfair because the advertisement said it's free. After that, carefull check your monthly bill. Warn them you will cancel the connection if they charge a huge bill by "mistake".

                              We have taken bsnl broad band connection one mont back. Still the loging id and password is not enabled. we have given complients on 1500 and 2573400. There is no action. Due to this we are unable to see the ussage deatails. Please advise us to stay with BSNL or find other service provied to get better service.

                              I am unable to access bbservice.bsnl.in & thus unable to check broadband usage which is imp as they have posted very heavy bill.
                              I am using broadband connection. Past two days the net is not connecting and the error is 797. And I contacted your technical assitant (phone no. is[protected] He asked me to check the all the ports and repress it . Immediately it was connecting but after shutdown the system the same error (797)it is ginving. And today suddenly link was failed whole the day while using net.

                              Can you please help me in this matter and give me immediate solution to this problem

                              Hallo frendz,
                              There is a problem with www.bbservice.bsnl.in .Problem starts on 112009 .
                              The probles is, i am opened the portal with my user id and password.and click on the usage details tab.
                              On the SELECT MONTH list there are no months listed.
                              This is my problem.The list box only contain the word "Select month".
                              And in other site, when tried to access my usage details, there is a ERROR MESSAGE only.
                              What i do ?
                              I dont know that this is only my problem !

                                I have data one Broad Band Connection with night 2.00 am to morning 8.00 am free
                                it shows in my usage that i have used about 150 three in limited usage timeperiod
                                but clearly the time is like 1:57 to 2:27 150...Mb
                                1:59 to 2:20 170..Mb
                                they are robbing us .
                                so either give them a wack or be carefull
                                is that the same what i had the bill 90mb when i used 1 minute beyond free period time i had used 6.13-8.01.my advice is that to power off the modem at 7.50 itself and use the free time and usage seperately so that they could not claim free hours

                                  my landline number is[protected], i have taken homeplan 250 of bsnl broadband.my broadband is not working since last five days.i am facing so many problems due to it in my business as well as my further studies.
                                  kindly co-operate me for solving the problem as eaarly as possible.
                                  My land line number is[protected].I have taken 750 unlimited home plan. From 1 month I am not able to connect my internet. It is giving Error 678. I have complaint about it to 1957, 1500 and at my nearest bsnl brodband exchange but till now action was not taken, because of it I am suffering from many problems.

                                    1.I am Rahul Sharma Tel No.[protected], Dundigal, Hyderabad.
                                    2.The portal for lodging Broadband complaints says it cannot connect to database.The other portals are for landline complaints.
                                    3.Complaint - Broadband is getting connected but webpage is not opening - some LAN TCP/IP settings wrong - complaint no.00069 dated 25 Jun 08 refers.Kindly expedite.
                                    4.Your helplines are not very helpful i.e. 23233311, 23231345, 23234770 do not attend the phone..sometimes it is engaged ..other times no one picks up..these are also not 24 hours lines.Other [protected] can not provide satisfactory online help, it can only lodge a complaint, 12678 disconnects you after saying .. pl. hold all operators are busy!!
                                    5.Kindly improve the setup.

                                    i was a bb user under plan 250 and changed to home ul 500 plan from december 2008. An application for the same was given on the 15th of december and i was told that the new plan will come into effect from january 2009, but while surfing the official data one website on the 29th of december 2008 i saw that the plan had already been changed to home ul 500. On seeing this i started downloading and now the bill for january 2009 has come showing an amount of Rs 8502 to be paid by 29/01/2009. Please clarify the details. [Specially the bb usage charge of Rs 7100.10 which seems to be appaling]. Kindly give an immediate clarification/details of the complaint lodged.

                                      Sir, Pls note thate we have requested for Tariff plane for monthly charges Rs 900/ and we have received bill for another plane.The BSNL person for booking has also misguided us.His phone no is -[protected].He never informed us re modem charges he said that every thing is free only we have to pay for our requested plane.When we received the bill we immidiatelly called him up, he said we'll discunnet the cunnection but as on date things are going.Pls to check our requested form and provide us the requested connection and rais the mentioned bill again.

                                        Initially after putting a lot of effort somehow I could be able to get Broadband connection, it all about 8-9 months passed but I never enjoyed the connection even a single day, the situation is as horrible that you can’t relay that you will be able to work smoothly even for a Hrs., My company provides me facility to work from home and for that purpose I took the Broadband connection but I have not a single day working from home, though I am properly paying my rental charge for broadband connection. While approaching the local exchange they have their own problems, some time network outage and power failure, The local exchange officer behavior is very bad, I am fed up with this service.
