Ref: Advance Receipt Number : [protected] dt. 31-08-08 for purchase of 1 Bar Unit ( glass made )+ 1 Dining Table Set

Customer : Ashu Kansal

I had purchased above items 13 days back with 100% advance payment of Rs 23279/- with an assurance of installation within 5 days . Delivery happened on 3rd Sept 08 but the guy for installation ( mr. Jai phone number -[protected] ) came on 7th Sept after n number of followups with the customer care ( ph no.[protected] . On 7th when all unpacking of glass items for bar unit had been done, Jai reported that hardware was missing and could be arranged from dadri warehouse or local market . Immediately Jai informed about this to his supervisor Mr. Mohan ( ph no. [protected] ) . Mr. Mohan assured me that it would take another 3 days ( maximum) to arrange the hardware and install the bar unit i.e. maximum by 10th Sept08 . We had also informed about the same to customer care for records .

But till date i.e. 13 Sept08 installation has not happened . Mr. Mohan does not pick up the mobile .Mr Jai picks up the phone but cannot help us as instruction has to come from Mr. Mohan . Customer care with whom I am doing regular followups makes false assurance of calling me back within an hour and so . Even customer care is not ready to give me the contact number of senior officers . There is no website information where I can file the complaint .

This is a case of false practice & no customer service by a very renowned store " Home Town" located at Great India Place NOIDA .

If some senior person from Hometown can see my complaint, then please act on it . Else refund my money .

Home Town — False assurance

I am finally writing this mail after geting completely frustrated from the false assurance given by your loved staff (Mr Vijay , delivery head at GIP Mall in Noida). Let me give you the detail of my incident
I ordered a TV Stand(WU Casa V2) on 25th January 2010.
My advance receipt number was :-[protected]
I got the delivery ,on the same date it was mentioned on the receipt that is 29th January 2010
When the next to next day , the serviceman came to install the TV Stand , I saw that color was not that , that I was originally ordered. (It was urban teak while it should be wallnut color).
Then I called Mr Vijay (Delivery head at GIP Mall Noida) and he told me that it was mistake from their side and the goods will be replaced within 3 days.
After that I called him a number of times (his mobile is on and I listen the ring also but he does not pick up the phone).
Finally I had to call their customer service on 7 and 8 th both the day and I got to know from Mr Vijay (this is another person who works as customer executive at GIP Noida) that he talked to Mr Vijay (Delivery head) and got to knw that the goods will be delivered by 11th of February 2010.
Now today is 11th February and just to be sure that whenther the delivery is in process or not , I called the customer service number and it was very sad the they did not have any clue about my issue.
I would advice customer NOT TO BUY PRODUCT FROM HOME TOWN, KOLKATA. They are the biggest cheater in Kolkata. I have ordered a dinning table under Advance Receipt No: [protected] dt. 28/08/2011 which was supposed to deliver within 3 days. Right now it is more than 20 days and there is no sign of delivery or status report from their end. We have tired of calling again and again. As per my last correspondance, they asked me to send email at ht.[protected]@futuregroup.co.in requesting for refund. Now they guys are kept neglecting my email and not ready to provide the refund against non-delivery of product.

HOW CAN SUCH A BIGGEST CHEATER SURVIVE ?? I AM REALLY SHOCKED TO SEE SUCH PATHETIC SERVICE FROM FUTUREGROUP.

I agree with you about horrible customer service. People at managerial level at Home Town can't stay up to what they promise to a customer. It's been 2 months I madfe a fu;; payment of 80, 000 Rs. and still my furnitures are not delivered. It's height of negligence and false practise. Action should be taken against such practises. On 1st & 2nd June 2013 I purchased few items amounting to Rs 34997/-under exchange scheme from your Ambience Mall, Gurgaon Outlet.I was promised by your staff that goods will be picked up from my residence on 7th June and new items will be delivered on next day. so far it is 10 days now, neither exchanged items have been lifted from my residence nor new items have been delivered. I am making futile calls on given numbers but no body is picking up the phone. I have paid 3 visits to your out let so far.

I had lodged a complaint with customer care (# [protected]) on 20th July, 2014 for Cistern problems, however till date no one has time to call or attend to this complain. I think it was our mistake to trust Home Town architect and buy goods on their recommendations.

Home Town has only one criteria to sell inferior quality goods and provide no after sales service. We really do not know what to with company’s attitude and bad service. I am now writing to on this forum in desperation as no one is attending or listening to my complain for past 7 days and I hope people who read this message can be careful before buying any goods or services from Home Town.
Totaly rubbish customer services. Bought an almirah from flipkart and its been one month its not get installed.

    I hve done the online purchase of Refrigerator and washing machine from Future Bazaar (on 6 Aug 08). Got the delivery of washing machine (after 15 days) properly but the delivery of referigerator was in damaged condition (after 20 days). Therefore the delivry of Refri was rejected. They informed us that they will pick the damaged refri and provide us with the replacement. Till date (11sept08) they have not taken back their dmaged refri and till date i have done numerous call folloing for the same but to no avail. I dont know when will i get the replaced refri whereas all the payments were done on date of purchse. Tried to speak to their senior employees but always directed to their call centers executuve and by now iam really fed up of saying the same complaint from scratch (leads to lengthy conversations) to number of executives and as usual getting the same reply as they r lookng into it. I hope some senior from future bazaar checks this and get my grievace resolved.

    Future Bazaar — No Delivery till date

    I Bought a Samsung Window A.C. from Future Bazaar situated at Shipra Mall, Ghaziabad.
    Despite of Calling again and again, they failed to deliver the same till date, the delivery and installation was supposed to happen last Saturday, when called they are not even able to give a satisfactory reason for this non compliance, and i on other hand am feeling harassed.
    i have purchased 10 pcs of mobile phones samsung 5350 from futurebazaar on 1st of april. i am yet to recieve my products but as the delivery schedule was 7 days nd today is 16 th of april still no product delivery of the product has been recieved. in electronic market the price of the products are revised and new products are launched every day. if they cnt deliver the product in their delivery schedule why do these companies take orders online.i will launch a complaint in consumer forum and even move in court for my loss which may occur due to the delay of these products

    FutureBazaar — partial delivery

    i had placed an order with order no [protected] dt. 23.9.2011 for philips handblender. i have received the same at my end but it does not include the wall bracket and the 1 L beaker with lid as it has been written in the product listing. kindly ensure to send the soon as soon as possible

    Big Bazaar — Regarding Bill

    I have not received the correct original bill. Total Bill was 6000. After giving coupons of 1100 they just gave me deducted bill and not the original bill. I need the original bill

      I have ordered Bed room set with wadrobe and computer table on August 10th 2008 in hometown, Punjagutta.I paid all amount and got bill and product will be delivered by 30th August2008.They didn't sent on 31staugust'08..I went to Office nd told them the situation.They told that it will come by September 3rd...But they didn't sent on 3rdSept ...By 4th i got it but only warddrobe and computer table...No Bed...I go on asking them about BED...No proper response..Atlast I got my BED on Sunday 7th September...Now actuall problem...Fixing...I called them so many times ...Atlast they called me on 9thSeptember and told they will come by evening 6.00pm...But they came at 9.00 and telling they will tomorrow...I didn't accept...So they fix the bed upto 10.30p.m and they told they will come next day(10thSept08).But they didn't come...When i called to office..they dont know about them and office people sent those guys to other customer and they dont know about me...This is unfare..Service is veryvery bad...

        A Queen Size bed was booked on 17th of Aug from Maarenahalli has not been deliver till yet.

        It was suppose to be delivered by 25th this month, after a dozen of follow up calls I have still no got the confirmation on the delivery of the product. At each call I was give false promise that it will be delivered tomorrow, but that tomorrow is yet to come.

        A very bad service from Big Bazaar, I must say. My money is blocked for the past twelve days; I could have bought the same from some other place.

        If they cannot take so many orders then they should not take and waste customer’s time.

        Same issue with me. I had bought a queen size bed and mattress from them (Big Bazaar at Whitefield) before Dassera (almost one month back). Just before the payment was to be authorized the chap (Babu) told me the delivery will take 21days. He could have told this to me before. I went ahead with the purchase. Promised date was 25Oct
        To date (Nov03, 08) there is no bed and no matress. We have been calling them regularly but everytime they promise a delivery in 2-3 days. Today the girl blankly said that they do not know when the delivery will happen, so we should not call...!!??? When we threatened to go to consumer court etc. she went in and talked with her manager and said that the delivery will be this saturday...
        I am sure we will have to follow up again and go through the same crap. Buy from these guys ONLY if they have stock. We also liked a dining table, sofa and TV stand but did not buy. I am glad we made the decision. If you want to buy cheap furniture, consider going to Shivaji Nagar in Bangalore, the quality is EXACTLY the same and the price is lower. Delivery is within a few hours...

        I also ordered a Queen size bed + mattress in Dec 2008 from the Old Madras Road outlet, which was supposed to be delivered on 3rd January 2009. I am only wasting my time calling up again and again to know when it is going to be delivered, but only get a new story every time. Even the manager of the furniture bazaar Mr. Reddy is giving me false assurances - that somebody from the CSA team will sort out my complaint! Nobody from Big Bazaar has had the courtesy to call me and tell me in advance about the delay in delivery - infact nobody knows what is happening! Whoever picks up the phone, gives a new story...

        I have guests coming in, and have no place to accomodate them! If I knew Big Bazaar only cheats like this, I could have purchased a bed from elsewhere much earlier!

        I would recommend NOBODY should buy any furniture from Big Bazaar, unless u have a lot of patience, and afford to wait for months for delivery...

        Can somebody guide me on what are my rights, and how can I make sure that Big Bazaar is taken to task - so that nobody else suffers the way I am sufferring.
        the same is case with me, i have also bot a queen size bed from mumbai mulund furniture bazaar of future group, on 27 of june nd delivery is stilll pending, even after calling for so many days nd also personally visited to check wht the status is they only promise of delivery, this is very irresponsible nd ridiculous on their side, i request everyone to be cautious before buying from them.

          On Dtd. 16.08.08, i have booked Milestone Suitcase-3Nos with free gift of 1No. Pouch & 1No. Freedom Bag.When I went on Dtd.18.08.08 for getting the suitcase, employee of Big BazaarMr. Jagdish Patel have told me that we have received defective Freedom Bag so pl. collect the same after 2 Days.On dtd24.08.08, I telephoned custmer care(a lady, Anita) have told me that come & collect, When I gone there, the person Mr. Jagdish Patel has told me that still we have not received the Bags.The attendant hs miguide me.Is this a way of business?You are making fool.           dear sir,
          i have purchased a sony product from Big bazzar bhopal on 04/03/2015. i have got product delivery after 20 days on 24/03/2015. The model name SONY KLV 32R412B.
          sir the LED model i have purchased there is a offer with this product " a sony head phones" . but i have not got any gift with LED. when i asked the Big bazzar's manager so he said "the prodect is front of you & there isn't any head phones with LED. Today when i made a call to sony costumer care the executive told me" the head phone is given by sony company with this model of sony LED.
          kindly contact the dealer & find out where is the problem.
          i want my product's gift as soon as possible

            I had ordered for a bathtub on the 2nd of august and paid the amount in full. The delivery was promised on 10th of August. As of 25th august there is no sign of delivery. The customer service is pathetic where they keep asking you to call up a different number. Half the time the concerned people are on leave with no one else knowing what is going on. If you ask for refund they will keep dilly dallying. It is difficult to belive that HomeTown brand is like some fly by night operator lacking reliability, customer service and on time delivery. Hometown operators are like some local crooks who are out to swindle you.

              A Techie's bad experience with Big Bazaar
              A software engineer from Technopark, here sharing his bitter experience with Big Bazaar, one of the biggest retail outlet in Trivandrum.

              “Beware of Big Bazaar cheating??

              Now a days even a small retailer will replace their goods, if it seems to be not working. See the case when the dealer is Big Bazaar(One of the largest retail chain in India), Trivandrum.

              I purchased a 4 GB Transcend Pen drive from Big Bazaar(Kesavadapuram) on August 1st. At the time of buying they claimed that the product has 2 year warranty. After buying that I came to home and checked it in my PC. It was not detected by my PC.(Win XP OS ). Then I tried in another configuration and none detected that device. That day itself I came to Big Bazaar, Kesavadapuram with the bill and the box including the Warranty card and other packaging.

              I directly contacted the manager who was in charge for the Electronic goods section. He said that he is helpless and they cant replace it with a new one. I argued that at the time of selling they told they will provide full service for the product. But he said they are not taking the service of ‘Transcend’ and I have to send that to ‘Transcend’ service center in Bangalore. I contacted other persons in their office and complained against this and everyone said the same story.

              Then I went to Big Bazaar office at East fort(the time was around 8 pm). I told the matter to the security. He refused to let me inside with the packet and told me to come on the next day. There was a large crowd and I told this matter to people surrounded there. At last security allowed me to go inside and I met the manger there. I told him that, I just opened the pack and inserted the Pen drive to my PC but was not detected. That guy also told the same words.

              Next day I registered a complaint to Transcend, US through their website(http://www.transcendusa.com ) . But they said that they don’t have any authorized service center in India and Big Bazaar is not a dealer of their product. But Big Bazaar claiming that Transcend has a service center at Bangalore. The address given by ‘Big Bazaar’ for the Transcend service was ‘Intellic systems, Bangalore’. I didn’t send that damaged item to Bangalore(I don’t want to loose the courier charge too)

              My doubt is, Are they selling the genuine goods or duplicates? It is apparent from my experience, Transcend is not responsible for their products sold by Big Bazaar. So Please think twice while buying goods from there.

              many other are there to finished the goods..
              more nunbers are getting benefit than lost.. its human luck.. surely someday unlucky is there..
              one day i wnt to big bazaar i n a shirt of john players @ rate of 350 rs discount but the real matter it is a duplicate of ROYAL oxford shirt so bevare of buying things from cheaters big bazaar. but the govt or the authorities are not taken nessarry actions aganist these froudlent sellers.               Sorry to hear what you went through... The first mistake you did was to appraoch Big Bazaar to buy a computer gadget... There are umpteen number of PC hardware dealers in Trivandrum. Even one of my friends had some issue with his transcend device which he procured from Logtech.. If am not wrong the device encountered issue after 1 year from the date of purchase.. He got the device replaced with no hassle...

              When you have specialised stores for products like computer gadgets, you should appraoch them instead of the RETAILERS like big bazaar...

              Though it was a bitter experiences, you learned something for it!!! now make sure you don't repeat this :)

              hey even i had problems with the transcend pen drive and i never got it replaced. and their customer care is horrible
              I am surprised that you thought of buying such goods from Big Bazaar. These days everyone are looking for cheaper prices.

              Moral of the story: Buy pen drives and other such stuffs from authorized computer dealers like Logitech or Coax Computers.

              I strongly oppose on charging for carry bags. Mind it, we are not the media for advertising your firm through the carry bag and more interesting thing is we have to pay for this ad.

              Think more about customercare and customer satisfaction rather than rejecting the request of Customers.

              Also the inconvenience at Cash counter, where one counter is always closed. Someone should monitor and keep the other cash counter on high demand. Customer does'nt have time to waste at your complex.
              THE STORE MANAGER AT BIG BAZAAR EAST FORT IS SUCH AN THAT EVEN HE DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO BEHAVE TO AN CUSTOMER. THE CUSTOMER DESK IS COMPLETELY A FUNNY THING . THERE NEW GENERAL RULE IS SUCH A STUPIDITY THAT THE CUSTOMER HAVE TO BUY THE BAG FOR CARRYING THE THINGS FROM THE OUTLET

              BIG BAZAAR — amount charged in Bill but the product was missing from Luggage

              With reference to receipt no.0009494.(Kandivali BIG BAZAAR, 22/11/2011, time 11:25,Till no.8)

              I have just come back purchasing products worth Rs.4255

              I am shocked to find ceratin products being absent in my baggage worth Rs100+,which is included in my Bill.This is cheating.This means there was cheating on the cashier counter.The cashier has charged me while the person who puts the products in bag has slipped the product out of the baggage.

              A bunch of in billing section. A guy named Anandu is reluctant to pay the balance. When i complained against him in the billing section, he paid it.but with the help of another fellow named Aneesh, they made me stand there for 10 minutes for getting a discount.

                Usually big bazaar advertises huge discounts during 15th aug especially in food bazar (combo offers). Since there is huge rush, I had gone there early in the morning - 7am and after waiting for 2 hrs for the outlet to open, I made my purchases. During the billing, there was problem in the system and the cashiers had to redo their billing. When this was being done, somebody walked away with my trolley. After getting another trolley, I just walked away without really checking the bill as the outlet was getting crowded. After reaching home, I checked the bill and saw that I was billed twice for the combo offer when I had purchased only one quantity - The cost of the combo offer for 5kg basmati rice, 5kg sugar and 3lit oil was 499 (I was supposed to save 400 on the offer) and I ended up paying 998/- due to no fault of mine. I am sure since Big Bazaar has a computerised system and they must be having daily stock reading, they will have this extra amount on their system. But I did not want to face any embarrassment at the outlet where I am a regular buyer. Instead of a saving I ended up wasting my time and money. If big bazaar really lives up to its reputation, it will reimburse me my money other I will really feel cheated whenever I visit the outlet and stop going there altogether. I really felt duped on Independence Day...

                  I visited the Future Group Home Town showroom as Ishanya Mall, Pune on 22 Jun 2008 and paid for two pieces of furniture. The delivery was scheduled on 29 Jun 08.

                  The furniture has not been received till date, 15 Jul 08. I have been speaking to these people almost daily and get only excuses.

                  Can't understand the pathetic response of this huge company.

                  I have paid amount for a morrison bed at home town, hydrabad.They have taken the advance on 10.9.2008.The delivary shedule was 15.11.2008.But so far they have not delivered.I am asking them almost in alternate days.one day they says it in import .and then it is in trasport and another day it is in go down and after wards our SAP softare is not functioning. now they says this number what was mentioned in the receipt is not correct.I dont know what to do now, whom to contact now.I have very bad experiance with home town. If we some payment or advance to home town, our problems will start from that time and they will least bother about us.

                  Future group/Bedroom set offer — Non delivery of some products

                  I had puchased a complet bedroom set from Furniture Bazar at Thahur Mall, Dahisar, Mumbai for
                  20, 998/=. The offer was 1 Victory Bed, Night stand, 2 door wardrob, dressing stand and 1 mattess of size of double bed on 04-jan-2009. the delivery date was 13-jan-09.

                  On 14-jan-09, only bed, night stand and dressing tables were delivered at my residence. I was told that
                  wardrob and mattress will be delivered within one or two days.

                  But till today we have not received wardrob unit and mattress. I was successfull in contacting their executive two times and he said that due to shortage of stock both items were not delivered but within one or two days you will get both the items. In the meantime double bed and dressing table and Night stand were assembled by them.

                  I have the same response from Home Town - Pune. I was purchasing the product through ICICI Credit card on EMI installment and sale representative told me that future group have finance scheme at 3% only instead of you taking at 7 % from bank.
                  We agree to buy the product on finance from Future group on finance and then the sale representative ( Non Finance person ) start asking too many personal question ( salary, bank account, owned car, owned house etc ) and took the conversation into a negative direction. After repeatedly asking to get in touch with the finance representative, he explain me that he has the exposure of finance and worked in this field with Future Group - Home town which wasn't the case !
                  I felt offened with such a poor customer attendence from Home Town and decided not to purchase any futher products from Home Town - pune .
                  Also, I have launch a complain to Mr. Atul Angle - Head Home town, told him to take necessary action on the same.
                  Finally, I purchase the selected Bed Room set from Life style which has better service and Customer Attendees then Home Town.

                    BIG BAZAAR — Debit card transition

                    29.12.2010 i purchased some material in big bazaar rs-665 by my standard charted bank debit card. after that i checked Jan 3.2011 my Account balance, its shows 665 transition on 29.12.2010 and 665 transition on 30.12.2010. they are debited same amount twice. presently i rised complaint to my mother bank.

                      It is a matter of great regret to note that there is no uniformity of rates in Pantaloon Retail outlets, corrupt practices by purchase staff and totally unfair pricing of products being sold at various Food Bazaar outlets.

                      A concrete example is the case of Apricots Whole being sold by their outlets at GIP Noida and City Walk Select Mall at Saket, New Delhi. There seems to be looting going on of innocent customers. The following table would illustrate the point:-

                      It would be observed that wide unacceptable variations within GIP Mall Food Bazaar in the same month and drastic difference in price between GIP Mall Food Bazaar on the one hand and open market on the other.

                      It is obvious that corrupt and unfair practices are going on in Food Bazaar, GIP Mall Noida.

                      Concept of Food Bazaar is to provide food stuff to customers at cheaper rates than prevailing in the market. But obviously, not only they are selling at higher price than in the market, but, in fact, looting customers in broad day light.

                      Please investigate matter and take appropriate action to bring down prices below what is prevailing in the market.

                      Information should also be publicised through media to warn customers of what is going on.

                      since in weekdays i am not able to go the store so i think i am not getting my material this week

                        My credit card was lost i have informed ICICI phone banking officer about the same.He asked me to make a Police comlaints (NC) & submit the relevant certificates to them.Accordinglly i did everthing & settled the stolen card matter by paying relevan amount. (the one which was spend by me). I have received ICICI representative acknowledgement against the final settlement of this issue.
                        After few months later I found that Ampount of Rs. 19760 has been dirctly withdrawn from my ICICI saving account.where as stolen card has the credit limit of 10000 rs . only & there was a miss use of card for amnt. of 8000 rs (called as a dissputed amnt.). After talking & emailing to Bank they have replied that Bank has got the all authorities to deal.
                        Anyone help me to take up this matter at higher levels.

                          I had purchased a "Usha Lexus Dolphin Tower Cooler" from the Big Bazaar outlet at Ambience Mall, Gurgaon on 18 Apr 2008. When I made the purchase the staff had informed me that the piece on display was the only one available since they do not stock up high value items in large quantity and the same had been rceived at the outlet only the day before. However my nightmares began just days after the item was brought home. It has started giving problems and till now the service engineer o[censored]sha Lexus has visited and repaired my cooler already five times and that includes the replacement of the blower in the cooler. The product has not given me satisfactory performance even for a month.

                          I had requested Big Bazaar to replace the item since I was given a defedctive piece... and am still waiting for it to happen. I have already made two trips to the shop but nothing concrete has happened.

                          When I purchased a branded cooler from an equally rep[uted company I expected the item to have some basic quality in the product and the company to live upto its reputation but all in vain. Now I feel that I should have bought my cooler from the local guy, at least I should have got some better product and after sales service at a much lower rate !!!

                          I am looking forward to the cooler being replaced at an early date by either Big Bazaar or Usha Lexus.

                          i have purchased usha cooler {dolphin} from it's dealer in chandigarh on 21 may 2009 but it started giving problems from the very same day as it's water pump was not working properly and despite my repeated calls at it's service center no body came to mend the fault in it. i am dismayed and dissatisfied with the product i have purchased and dismayed at the frequent calls which went unheeded.

I have problem in that, till i purchased it even i could not use it once.i have warrenty on it. i complained it on10/5/2008 and now date is 7/8/2008, it is almost one month. but i am not getting my iron. i have complained even top management. BIG BAZAR is a reputed brand name but some staff in that branch is spoiling this name.As u know customer satisfaction play a important role in recent bussines senario.I have done follow up many times but it was result less.

                            pls do necessary action, so that i can get my product, hope for ur positive response soon.

                              This email is with reference to the poor after-sale/ customer service provided by BIG BAZAAR MALL -

                              Himalaya Mall, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

                              I am an NRI, presently in ahmedabad on vacations and i visited Big Bazzar and bought items.

                              But those were not upto the requirements so i had to exchange it (just in matter of SIZE), i went the next day immediately with the cash receipt and the item untouched.

                              But the staff's behaviour was too arrogant. Not bothered to pay attention to the Customer's Complaint.

                              I got no positive feedback from Customer Service department, so i requested to speak to the Store Manager and ask him why the item was not been exchanged.

                              I do agree that the Staff members are restricted in their duties and exchange policies, but i just wanted to speak to the store manager and know why the item cannot be exchanged.

                              the customer service department Declined my request to speak to the Store manager, and then they sent some person named Mr. Gunjan Bhatt, who claimed to be the Store Manager. But his behavior was very arrogant, not bothered to listen to the customer's problems and queries. Before I could even ask him why the item could not be exchanged, he said it cannot be done and asked me to leave the mall at that very moment.

                              I am sorry to say but i feel he is not The Right person for such an Important post of a Store Manager. He was rude, had no manners and even his attire never showed that he was store manager. Later on i encountered that he was not the store manager, but he himself previously claimed that he was. I tried to meet the Store Manager, but the Customer Service Department did not let me do so. So then when i asked for the store manager's contact number, i was given some number which was busy always.

                              I had to face very Arrogant behavior for TWO HOURS and POOR unappreciable Customer Service.

                              I went to shop to BIG BAZAAR because it is a division of Pantaloons, but this was a very bad Experience. I have recently bought a FAST TRACK WRIST GEAR from pantaloons. But Im very disappointed with the customer service provided by Big Bazaar Staff.

                              I know Mr. Kishore Biyani is the ideal person to build up the Future bazaar group, but i didnot expect such a poor, manner-less arrogant behavior from Big Bazaar Staff.

                              Waiting for a positive reply, the item to be exchanged is not Important, but the Behavior with Customers and their Queries is important.

                              i noticed in Big Bazaar while Shopping, in most of the Sections customers are left unattended, unlike in pantaloons.

                              Im in india only for a week now, i will be leaving to abroad then, but I do not think i will ever visit Big Bazaar again and will not let any of my NRI friends or family members (even those residing in india) make the mistake that i made and feel Embarrassed.

                              I second with her. It has got trmendously poor customer service.
                              I have made several purchases from Big Bazaar before and had a good opinion about them. But off late things have started to deteriorate. It stared with the reduction in choice of items and now it is taken a giant leap forward to the few of the customer support staff.

                              I am writing this mail, so that my experience stays as an example for the other customer. As of now I feel cheated and terrible.

                              The previous time I went to Big Bazaar I noticed a shoe rack which costed Rs1750. I spoke to one of the customer service agent regarding the price and the different color. He said " There are no different colors Maam and the price is Rs.1750 and no further changes"

                              The next time I went to this place I found the same product with a price tag of Rs2500. This was totally ridiculous and such fluctuations would not happen in matter of few days. Then when you start questioning the staff they start the blame game. The answers which I got was hilarious " the price tag would have been interchanged by customers", " you would have seen it wrong", " the other department staff would have given the information as they do not have knowledge about the subject". The manager also got into a defensive mode. More then a matter of money, it is a matter of standing for what is right.

                              And after a heated up argument were the customer is made to look like a fool, the customer has to wheel his huge furniture to the car park. There is no assistance or courtesy to help the customer. Forget home delivery, from the 3rd floor to the basement ???? Is the customer asking for more?

                              The Big Bazaar staffs have to be informative about their product. If they are not sure, please tell them to say so.
                              Even if the customer changes the display card, the staff should have an idea of the cost of the model.
                              The manager should have tried to be sincerely apologetic instead of sounding like a recorded message with different versions of "SORRY"

                              For any customers going to Big Bazaar please follow this. Even if it sounds stupid.

                              1) If you are dealing with a customer executive ask him "Which department do you belong to"
                              2) Even if he belongs to same department you can recheck with his other colleagues "Please confirm if the display price has been changed by customers or it is an original rate"
                              3) After dealing with the Manager have a strong person along with you to wheel the furniture back to the basement.

                              All you get even if you raise a complaint is "Sorry Maam", which ofcourse they do not mean. There is no slight effort of meaning what they say or trying to rectify it.

MUKESH OF BIG BAZAR PROMISED ME TO CLEAN THESE SPOT BEFORE DELIVERY ON 21/4/09.BUT HE DELIVERED IT WITHOUT REMOVAL OF INK SPOT & WHEN ASKED DURING DELIVERY TO CLEAN IT, HE ASKED FOR SPRIT TO REMOVE THE INK FROM SOFA, WE PROVIDED, BUT AFTER USING THE SPRIT, WHITE SPOT BECAME SOURROUNDING THE INK, BUT INK WAS THERE. HE HAS PROMISSED TO REMOVE THE INK & GET BACK THE NATURAL COLOUR ON NEXT TUESDAY, BUT IT SEEMS THAT I PAID MY MONEY FOR SECOND HAND THINGS.THE PAYMENT IS MADE ADVANCE SO THE UPPER HAND IS YOURS BUT IN FUTURE I CAN NOT RECOMEND ANYONE TO SEE BIGBAZAAR.THIS IS A PAINFUL RESULT OF ADVANCE PAYMENT.

                              Big Bazaar - A Pantaloon Group — Lack of Response to customers and false commitment

                              Dear Concerned,

                              This is regarding the ordeal which Iam going through for the last 38 days with one of the major retail company in India, Big Bazaar (BB).

                              We had purchased some furnitures from BB on 23rd of April 09. Since BB had to order for the products from its Mumbai warehouse, we were promised that the product would be delivered in 7 - 14 days time from the date of purchase.

                              And thats it, we have been getting products in small batches and we still have not got the complete consignment. We make close to 8 calls a day, since we have made the entire payment, but we get some very cold response.

                              In this 38 days, I have made close to 134 calls to BB and 110 times they have told me they will call me back with the update as to when they would deliver the product and 110 times also they have not bothered to update me and also the remaining times, they just hang up, when they come to know its me.

                              I have been patient enough to bear this entire episode with BB.

                              I have come to a situation were I have decided to take the money back, but the thought of they have taken me for so granted, really makes me upset. I cannot believe how many customer are facing such issues.

                              Big Bazaar / Steel Cot — Faulty Bed

                              Hi,

                              I had purchased a Steel cot from Pondy bazzar, Chennai Big Bazzar on 26th of January. I have been facing several problems:

                              The bed was delivered with a one month delay even after several follow-ups
                              The bed panels had alignment problems, and this was noticed by the fitter. He did a shoddy job and fixed only 4 out of 8 screws. When later I realized that I complained to the store manager as well as to the area manager. They promised to resolve the problem, however even after two months of complaint and more than fifty follow-ups the problem has not been resolved.
                              The store manager is not picking the phone anymore and the area manager says he is helpless.

                              .it seems bg bazar person is only sitting to earn the money, but no sense to provide the service.
                              Be aware before purchasing anything from bog bazar, becoz they don't know to provide after sales service.
                              The telephone number of any of your outlet is rightly given in the Yellow pages, in information centre, or anywhere. The number you had given everywhere is totally changed. You never cared to correct the numbers in telephone directory and yellow pages and in all information centres. Such an irresponsible administration is going on. Please let me know the correct telephone number of your outlet or e-mail ID.

                              had a very unjustifiable experience at big bazar, palakkad branch.had bought a himalaya chyavanprash a month back.was just trying my luck when i asked them to take it back today.had my bill intact.after some whispers with the fellow workers the customer service guy comes back and tells me that it was part of an offer and there should have been one more bottle...ie they were offering two bottles at the price of one.well i had only one with me...and this was new information to me.one of the guys was very sure that this could "never"happen as the company people always keep monitoring the products.

Big Bazzar promised me to send the fitter the very next day itself, more than a week has passed and still they have not found a fitter.                               Today I purchased a Hitachi AC on the condition of being installed today itself from The Great India Place BigBazaar branch and was promised by the salesman named deepak tht it would be done, however after the delivery i was told by the delivry guy that the installation will be done on Monday. On calling XDeppak back and raising my concrn he lied bluntly saying that h had informed me about the installation being done on Monday. On asking to escalate it he gave me some wrong # and refused to connect me to his manager. On calling the customer service # Ias told they wd look into it and call me, however to my surprise as a response to my complaint another misbehaved salesman named Imran from that branch called me saying he had heared Deepak tellingme about the installation day and that I was lying. I again called the customer service # and spoke with the manager named Ankit who refused to extend any help saying he cannot get the installation done before Monday and nor can ofer any compensation. I had a pathetic experience and no just feel that I had a loss of Rs 285, 000. I would like to speak to someone who has the ability to take the ownership of the missold products by the cheap salesmen.

                              this is not Big Bazar but cheat bazar, On 27 Oct in Pune chinchwad Big Bazar I had given offer if I will purchase goods for more than 9000 i will get a dinner set on paying Rs 300, and this can be availed before 18 November,

                              but when I visited on 14th November to get this dinner set, they refused to give the dinner set and told it is out of stock and now instead of dinner set i can get towel

                              When I taled to sr person of big bazar, their response was very poor

The Related staff swap the card twice by giving reason that our swaping machine is not working properly.

                                But, today, I find in my bank statement that the above said amount is debited two times.

                                  We had purchased tiles from Home Town Noida.

                                  We are highly disappointed & shocked that the bill stated Rs 716 per box & the boxes that are delivered at our place are low quality with a price tag of Rs416 per box which is such a big fraud on their part. We had just by chance checked the price on the box otherwise we would have signed the receipt & delivery man would have rushed out. This act is totally unprofessional & strongly shocking no matter what the reason behind. We have retained both the receipts of the delivery man & the one meant for us. We have the boxes too hence have all the proofs for our case.

                                  When we had gone to purchase the tiles one of their official said premium quality is not available we can give you second’s quality. For which we insisted we want only premium that’s how the bill was made & we checked with their team twice that we need only premium tiles nothing less & they had given assurance. Despite their hollow promises we encountered such a major folly it’s a blunder & we are not ready to take it lightly.

                                  We have lost faith in Home Town’s credibility. Our work suffered miserably in the process, we kept speaking to the department manager- Sanjay & merchandising head – Abhineet Seth but they couldn’t give us satisfactory response leave apart a delightful response. They kept giving false promises. Abhineet had the shamelessness to say such things happen. Their team came to our house Sanjay along with Nitcos regional manager to apologize. When we asked them to change the tiles & compensate, they now said the required tiles are out of stock.

                                  This is a POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. This is a scam. Your minor problem becomes a nightmare. You are re-routed to these people, no matter how hard you try to explain, they are least interested in helping. This is definitely a detriment to staying with Home Town.

                                  This episode has really left me with a negative feeling towards Home town, which is too bad because my initial experience with Hometown was good (even with customer support)!!! I would much rather have bragged to my friends about my first experience with Hometown as opposed to what happened afterwards.

                                  I strongly disagree with this complaint posted by Mr. Gaurav Shrivastava. We had got our office at Tolstoy Marg renovated earlier this year, and my contractor had infact recommended purchases from Home Town. On scouting the market, we found the prices at Home Town really competitive. Impressed by their services, we even went ahead and bought electronics from them...and this time we ordered directly to them. And as far as I remember, Abhineet Seth was the person we had dealt with. Excellent is my word to describe the professionalism they had.

                                  To me this complaint appears to be a fault of the Tile Brand... and a bias of the complainant.

                                  Biased complaint. Seems this person has some personal scores to settle. Am a regular at Home Town Noida. Problems do happen regularly...but never to an extent where they have not been solved for me. Have bought my LCD, Refg, Bed from there...never bought tiles though...but pleasant experience.

                                  I totally agree and this is not the case with just Hometown it's the same with all the future group companies ..be it Pantaloons, Bigbazaar or FutureBazaar. I also had similar experience with FutureBazaar and now Hometown. I had to wait for 1 month before FutureBazaar deleivered the product whereas they had earlier told me that it would take only two weeks. when I called up after 2 weeks to check the status they said that such an order number never existed and they would re-register my oreder on a priority basis. After a zillion phone calls and a threat to take them to the consumer court they sent me my order. And today here I am again waiting for a delivery from HomeShop. I got a call on 14th Aug telling me that i would get my order delivered on 15th and its 17th and i am yet to get the delivery. This is the limit and I have decided that I would never ever deal with these companies in future and neither recommend them to my friends/relatives.
                                  I agree...the attitude that the customer care of Home Town, Noida has is not good at all. After buying a chimney from Home Tome I am waiting for now almost a month to get it installed. In spite of repeated calls, the only thing I get from them are hollow promises.                                   I purchased Dining table set a few months ago and it devolped a crack at the base/support frame which has not been attended by Home town inspite of ourvarious calls and follw ups and assurences from their side...we do get a call from them after a fornight or so and then no body shows up...we are dissatisfied and would always discourage all the people we can reach by word of mouth or otherwise to buy anything from Home Town Noida

                                  I agree they are cheats I was cheated on a sofa . In seconds sale they sold sofa saying it is 140000/- but we are giving it for 49999. In comparison the defective one, the fresh piece in the market was worth 42000/- .There is a slip that these people got it signed from me saying that it is for writing address but in the fine print they shown me later that it was an undertaking that I was purchasing the sofa. Anyways it was not a stamp paper. I work in a software colocation and will write in forums of techmahindra, TCS, Infosys and Accenture about the same.

                                  If anyone will still like to trade with Future group you can take there future card from me I will give it @ 10% more value against the 5% that I got. This promotion is also for greedy future group which has taken 3000/- from me without delivering the sofa they can earn more profit if they want. I do not know why Indian govt. does not impose law of torts as in other countries.

                                  All goods were delivered to me but the DINNING TABLE was delivered wrong, it was not as I ordered. Hence this was taken back (Take Back Bill:[protected] on 12th Dec 2009).

                                  The case is that I have called and visited the store may time still have not received the alternate table (OAK Colour). Every time I get a reason from the store incharge, floor managers and the sales man and now I am totally frustated from this service.

                                  Initially they said that they have no stock. After some time they said stock arrived but was damaged. Later they said It is Jan and the SAP will be closed till 12th Jan so cannot progress any order and now it is 20th Jan 2010 and I have still no response. I get only further excuse from all.

                                  The Below person are dealing with the case and have knowledge of this but have faild to progress any.                                   This is to inform that I need to escalate for Hometown products purchased on 25 Aug 2010, description of goods is[protected], Glass Vanity vs-3033 80*52 red from the sanitary section of Kolkata branch. Invoice number is[protected], price is 8700.

                                  Once the product was delivered, the person who came to install the product was inefficient and broke the mirror while installing it. He was ill behaved and after breaking the mirror, he just left without fixing it. After this, there was a harrowing experience to chase Hometown to get the product replaced and after many phonecalls and visiting the Hometown center, there was some respite. Finally after mentioning that this matter would be escalated to the Chief of Hometown, Mr. Sheshadri in Mumbai, it was replaced on 17 Sep, 2010. However, the truck driver, who came to deliver the product now <Truck Number - WhiteTata Magic, WB 15 A4802> was utterly deranged, most likely drunk and misbehaved, abused the mistris at my place, almost threatening etc. despite being given a bakshish of 50 rupees, name was Aftab Alam alias Raja, which could be a lie as he was hesitating to disclose the name and it could be a made up name, but Mr. Anirban Choudhury of Hometown did speak with him and mentioned that he would escalate the matter as he was aware of who the chap was since he spoke with him. Also, the driver made a mess as he wanted to take back the broken mirror and made a huge scene outside the home of respectable people which was absolutely not required as confirmed by Mr. Anirban Choudhury. Utterly rubbish and pathetic behaviour !!!

                                  Mr. Anirban Choudhury in Hometown did try to help to some extent but there was gaps and only after mentioning that there would be an escalation made to Mr. Sheshadri, did he make a sincere attempt to get the goods delivered and now I am waiting when would there be anyone coming from Hometown to install it.


                                  Now, the second scenario, is for the installation of the Nelson Shower Panel, 80001022, price is 9095, the same person who broke the mirror was demanding money <750 rupees> for some part that he used to fix the panel. When Hometown was contacted, they confirmed that installation is free of charge and all parts should be available with the kit but the man misbehaved and de-installed the entire panel and ran away without fixing it. I had to pay money and get my plumber to install the panel.

                                  I have also purchased the entire modular kitchen products, along with Glen Chimney and Glen Hob purchased on 25 Aug 2010, again and till now there is no follow-up as to what is happening next and when will it be installed, rather I have to run around and make several phonecalls to follow-it up. Also, make a note that Hometown from my home is 1 and a half hours away and it is not possible to travel everyday for the follow-up. Is this way to treat customers ???? Also, while purchasing the products in Hometown Kolkata, the folks there were not at all helpful, rather much lazy, inefficient and it appeared as if they were not interested at all. Also, while paying, there was a long queue as the folks at the counter was not aware of how to manage the customers. Do they need some training on customer service and time management ?

                                  I am absolutely disappointed with HOMETOWN for it has rubbish customer service and there is no value for the customers at all. I have purchased products in Delhi and now in Kolkata for over 6 - 10 lakhs of rupees but this has made a terrible impact on me and I will make sure that I mention this to everyone that Homwtown has very poor customer service and should not be buying products from this place at all if they want to save themselves from this horrid harassment.

                                  Hometown service is pathetic, as stated by some of the earlier posts. I bought a Samsung fridge (frrrunch series) from Hometown store (Ishanya mall). While purchasing, they had promised us as they would send me a "packed piece" from their warehouse and not the display piece. Eventually they delivered me the display piece itself. When enquired, the answers given to me were unacceptable (something like the actual piece was dented and therefore the display piece was delivered). They even promised me that a technician would contact me within 48 hours for a demo of the machine. However, the technician never contacted me. Even after repeated followups, they still make false promises and keep the matter pending. This is a very frustrating experience and it hurts more when you've paid for it.
                                  Agree with it as i have faced the same problem. Paid for one model refrigerator and another model was delivered at my residence may be of lower price. I am forced to use that as they are not agreeing to admit their fault. would never buy anything from Home Town.

                                  They are saying, they can make home delivery of the product if worth more than 10k. This is something annyoing for me. Even if the value is more than 7k.

                                  I agree, I ahve few dealings with hometown and I find them good to talk but equally bad when it comes to deliver.
                                  Their home building department is sham, and they out source work to worst contractaors available who are capable to run away without compleeting job. My batroom was so badly done that the flat below me senta notice for coanstant leakage.
                                  Worst, when you want to escalate the matter, no senior official will meet you and they tend to play around with customers.
                                  There is no timeline met for delivery, whatever you order.They are in short fraud . Their IQIP products are absolutely cheat.
                                  Best way to use them- see the product on display, buy from somewhere else. Hurt them where it hurts them most

                                  Home Town — Very poor quality Customer Service

                                  Had an order for a 3-door wardrobe placed about 3 weeks ago. I have had to make a non exaggerated 10 phone calls to request them to have it delivered to my place. If that was not enough, I had to wait out another week to request the assembling guys to come by to assembling the piece. Even after that, they had some wrong levers in the packaging, so the entire assembling could not be completed. They let me know that they would come back again next weekend with the correct parts and fix the issue. Over the weekend i have had to make another set of non exaggerated 15 calls to 66413317 wherein they keep giving a list of a million other numbers to contact (out of which almost all of them 'do not exist'- passing the bucket?). I wonder if even going all the way there and speaking with the store manager will get things moving since from my experience so far Home Town, Hyderabad clearly has not trained their customer care staff about tending to their customers 'rightful' needs on a priority basis. Its been about 15 days I made my purchase and my wardrobe has still not been fixed fully.

                                  I have paid full amount in the month of Dec 2010, instead the they misplaced some of the Goods and it took them almost 4-5 months to replace the Missing Goods.Even today the Shipment is still incomplete.

                                  I have registered tons of complaints from very top level Hometown HYD Branch Manager to supervisor, but still the proper action was not taken and i believe even in future they are not going to provide. I am still shocked how they provide the service to customers after selling their products. This is THE MOST WORST experience i have ever faced in my life. I felt like sending back all the goods worth Rs.4.25lakhs back to the HOME TOWN store in HYD.

                                  I request someone to advice me in taking this issue forward in order to get the Goods from HOME TOWN for the money i paid.Please suggest me the procedure to file a complaint in consumer court.

                                  - make false promises,
                                  dont keep delivery dates,
                                  never answer their CC nos,
                                  dont call back when committed, and
                                  expect you to be available 24X7 to receive the goods (at THEIR convenient times) !!

                                    I AM NOT SURE IF ANY OF THE BIG BAZAAR OFFICIALS WILL TAKE NOTE OF THIS ONE, BUT DEFINITELY THIS WILL REACH THOSE WHO HAVE ALWAYS RATED BIG BAZAAR AS BEING THE BEST FOR YEARS, AND WILL FEEL LET DOWN AT SOME POINT OR OTHER !!!

                                    (This is a mail I sent to the customer care cell @ big bazaar, at 9 AM on 27th May '08).
                                    This is to bring to your notice, my first bad customer experience with Big Bazaar, in over 6 years of association...

                                    We have booked an Air Conditioner (Whirlpool 1.5 tonne) at your Chennai branch, on 24th May 2008 (Saturday) vide Cash Memo #. – T38/11745, amount paid in full in advance – Rs. 22, 890/- which was supposed to be inclusive of the price o[censored]nit, stabilizer and on-door delivery charges (booked in the name of Mr. P. Vijayaraghavan, my father). The delivery of the unit was promised on Monday (26th May) by Mr. Nagendra who co-ordinated the booking order for us. When the unit was not received on 26th by us till 2000 Hrs, I called him up on his mobile to find out the status. He informed me saying that the unit got delayed in its arrival to the warehouse and that he has despatched it such that it will reach us by 2200 Hrs. Also, when I asked him for a contact number of person delivering it, he promised to get back to me in 15 mins post confirming who out of 3-4 people is carrying my consignment (later I got to know that there are only 2 delivery vans, driven by Mr. Mohammed and Mr. Jana). Please note the time of this mail – those 15 mins are yet to lapse !!!

                                    I tried atleast 20 times to reach him on his mobile at around 2230 Hrs and he was unprofessional enough either not to pick it up or disconnect the call. We stay in a flat and the main gate is locked post a particular time. I was trying to zero in on the exact time only to ensure that the gate remains open. Then, I contacted the customer care number mentioned on the receipt and got Mr. Vishwanath’s mobile number. He promised a status update which he provided in 15 mins – that the AC hasn’t been despatched at all & that it will reach us today (27th May) by 1200 Hrs noon !!!

                                    I have always preferred Big Bazaar over other such brands because of the robust customer care structure and the sense of dependability that they create about themselves. This is the first time though, that I chose Big Bazaar in Chennai, I met with the pathetic experience, where this employee of yours (Mr. Nagendra) showed absolutely no value for customer’s time !!!

                                    The reason I am taking all this pain to get this unpleasant incident to your notice is possibly because my expectations from Big Bazaar have been set very high by other Big Bazaar branches, like millions of other customers. Unfortunately, there is no consistency in your services or should I say, one such customer-oblivion character if left unnoticed, can create such an image of even the best retail brand in the country. Customer service is all about valuing customer’s time and that was precisely what was missing in Nagendra’s attitude towards customers.

                                    This may please be treated as an official customer-complaint and some action be taken to ensure such casual attitudes are nipped right in the bud.

                                    PLEASE NOTE – I am still awaiting (rescheduled) delivery of the AC & its installation which was originally promised before 1800 hrs this evening (27th May).

                                    IF ALL OF THOSE READING THIS MAIL, THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS AN ISOLATED INSTANCE, PLEASE CHECK OUT FOR OTHER COMPLAINTS IN THIS FORUM !!! THERE ARE MORE COMPLAINTS IN THIS FORUM THAN THE NUMBER OF PRODUCTS BIG BAZAAR WERE TO OFFER :-) !!!

                                      Hi,

                                      I bought a Bed and Wardrobe from Home town pune which never got delivered even after a month. I called up Home town atleast 15 times in this period every time they say it will be delivered in next week. The call center never seems to know the status of orders and never calls back even after promising to do so. I will never but anything from Home Town again and will suggest others also not to.

But the stationary items were missing during the delivery and the necessary items which was required for fixing the goods was missing .                                       When he made a call to the his manager he said to him that tell the customer that it will be done after 2 days. What is this we paid the full amount to hear that the work will be done as per them or it should be done as per the customer request.

                                      The person Harish from the home solution some how managed to fix the goods.while fixing the goods he not only damaged the goods and He fixed it without knowing how he should fix. Which one should be used first and which one next. Still the work is incomplete. Outcome was he DAMAGED THE GOODS.

                                      Not only I my family also faced the problem. I am requesting you could you please replace the goods or else return the full amount.

                                      I have visited your hometown at Noida on 22 august 2010, and booked two article vide my order number #[protected] and the delivery date given to me was 11th of September 2010.One of the article was delivered to me on 24th September that too at very odd hours early morning around 6.00 AM and was subsequently visited by a fitter who was non cooperative. All this was logged in the service delivery report but till date nobody bothered to check with us about it.
                                      The 2nd article has still not been delivered and we still don’t have any information as to when it will be delivered, we have made several call the customer center and all that is worthwhile as they themselves don’t know about the status of the delivery. In the above circumstances I would like to cancel my pending order and would like my money to be refunded asap and advice others not fall in the trap of hometown
