Worst experience with cleartrip. By mistake I have cancelled the booking and was continuously trying to call at cleartrip customer support but they were disconnecting. The same flight is refundable in goibibo but cleartrip didn't refund my amount 5776. Worst experience ever.

    My name is Prabir Pal. I have booked a Haveli at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. My cleartrip Trip ID: [protected]. However, I checked with the hotel and they said that there is no booking in my name from Nov 13 to Nov 15. Even there is nothing available in that hotel. Please help me and confirm my status.

      Hi, My Name is AnkiReddy. I booked Air Ticket form Hyderabad to Ahmedabad for 27th Oct 2014 through cleartrip.com website for Spicejet airlines. Later on I reschedule to 26th OCT 2014. Actual reschedule charge is Rs. 250/- only by online. But total Rs.13, 307/- amount debited from account.(First time Rs. 6, 444/- debited and on reschedule again Rs. 6, 863/- debited). I Used HDFC creditcard for transactions. When we trying to customer support call is going under on hold and asking contact details for urgency purpose. But I didn't received any call later. I tried from two different mobile numbers. When I contact to SpiceJet customer support, They told only one amount added to Spicejet. Even I e-mailed to services of clear trip. No Reply from them.       SpiceJet received only INR 6, 444.00/- only. Here the ticket from SpiceJet received from customer service.

        Had booked a room at the hotel for myself and friend for 25th Oct 2014. Paid through credit card on cleartrip. On reaching hotel, showed my driving license but hotel staff said local ID proof not acceptable. No where during booking it was mentioned that local ID proof is not accepted. Hotel staff said its some new government ruling. Have booked other hotels in Delhi through cleartrip earlier and never faced any problem. Called up Cleartrip support. Call answered by Vaishali. After a lot of discussions and waiting for close to 25 minutes on line, no solution reached. Asked her, if she could change the booking atleast in my companion's name as he had ID proof of another state, she blatantly said that cannot be done. I then asked her, I will not stay in the hotel, atleast let my companion stay. She again said no! By this time it was almost an hour I was sitting at the hotel helpless and neither the hotel staff nor your customer support was helping. Then I asked Vaishali to connect to her boss Vishal Chheda. He said that he will get back in half hr. Waited there. He called back and said that I cannot stay in hotel, nor can he transfer me to any other hotel, what he can do is let me know if a full refund will be done or not by tomorrow. Till date no call has come. I had asked him to share his mobile number so that I can get back but he blatantly refused to do so. I have never been in such a horrible situation on my life. Have been a loyal cleartrip customer for years and luckily there were never any issues with booking filghts/hotels. Never had I thought that in case of any issue if I had to get in touch with your customer support, it would turn to be such a nightmare. I demand a full refund ASAP as I did not get to stay in the hotel.

        Got a mail from cleartrip today. Full amount will be refunded. Brings back my faith in the brand. Although the inconvenience caused cannot be corrected but the action is sufficient.

          Dear Sir / Madam, My Clear Trip ID: [protected] & Voucher #CHMM967594/20.10.2014. For the 1st time in my life I booked through agency (ClearTrip) totally depending upon them but the reverse happened and my total trip was spoiled /washed away and financial loss / mental stress. I had called on[protected] your no [protected] and Ms.Zainab attended me, I told her that I am for a look out of HOTEL ROOMS at PUNE from 23rs to 26th 3 nights . She started giving me list of hotels and I told her that I need good Hotel, wherein then she suggested me KALPATHARUVU SERVICE APARTMENTS and said that it had A/C DELUXE ROOMS WITH WI-FI, FLAT SCREEN TV, INTERNET AND COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST.I repeatedly asked her whether it was a Hotel and I am looking out for a HOTEL ROOM. She told me that I have to decide fast as the hotels are getting booked fast and she will not be able to help me out with any hotel bookings. Then she sent me a mail which I received after 1 ½ hours which had details of remitting the money to your account. I went to the nearby ICICI Bank, Vashi Branch and deposited the relevant amount of Rs.9862/-and confirmed with her the receipt of the same. I was happy that moment that all went well. I landed with my family ( Spouse, Daughter, Mother-in-law 78 yrs) on[protected] by car and was SHOCKED when I saw that what called as HOTEL ROOM BOOKING was a big complex consist of lot of tower buildings and We were taken to BUILDING WING :L:, 1st floor which was a flat in the name of the individual called as GUEST HOUSE which had 1 big hall, 3 rooms, 1 kitchen wherein already 3 GENTS WERE STAYING AND WE WERE SHOWED 2 ROOMS which in your terms called as AC DELUXE HOTEL ROOMS. HOW COULD I STAY WITH MY FAMILY THERE WITH NO PRIVACY . MY FAMILY WAS TOTALLY SHATTERED AND ANNOYED / UPSET . I immediately called upon cleartrip office and told them the blunder done by Ms Zainab and she has totally taken me for a ride. I was given all type of reasons to avoid REFUND NOR ALTERNATIVE ARRANGEMENT. I pleaded them for alternate Hotel Arrangement but nobody were able to help me that terrible moment. I had made three calls and each call waiting period was 7 minutes, 9 minutes, 15 minutes but no result. They told me to wait for ½ hour within which they will do something, and we were stranded just below the building outside with my family. Think about, how disgusting it is ? Then totally disappointed we left for Mumbai . IN MY BOOKING CONVERSATION WITH MS.ZAINAB I HAD CLEARLY ENQUIRED FOR HOTEL ROOM BOOKINGS AND NOT FLAT GUEST HOUSE ROOMS Now let me know how can u treat a building flat so called as HOTEL DELUXE ROOMS and market them .IN MY BOOKING CONVERSATION WITH MS ZAINAB I HAD CLEARLY ENQUIRED FOR HOTEL ROOM BOOKINGS AND NOT FLAT GUEST HOUSE ROOMS. I REQUEST YOU TO LOOK INTO THIS MATTER AS WE HAD NOT OCCUPIED THE ROOMS AND REQUEST YOU TO REFUND ME THE MONEY OF RS.9862/- BOOKING CHARGES ALONG WITH RS.15000/- AS PENALTY FOR THE MENTAL TORTURE/STRESS MY FAMILY GONE THROUGH .           My case is still pending. I got a phone call on my cell @ 3.45 pm approx on 31st October and was told that the amount of Rs.9861/- is being refunded and you need my bank account details and postal address. I had given all the details required over phone and was told the cheque would reach at the earliest. Stll not received are u fooling me around. Pls let me know the status of the cheque and if so when was it couriered or posted . Awaiting reply.

            Dear Sir/ Mam I had booked a Hotel Room through Clear trip at Periyar Meadows, Thekkedy vide Cleartrip ID No-[protected] dated 28 Aug 2014 for one night from 04 Oct 2014 to 05 Oct 2014.On reaching the Hotel I was told by the reception people of the Hotel that There was no booking on my name for that night .I contacted the cleartrip customer care and after an hour of Investigation it was learnt that clear trip had not given my booking to the hotel and they tried getting one then but the hotel was fully booked thus I had to move with my family to Alleppy to stay overnight and was forced to pay extra money to my Taxi, had to pay heavily at Alleppy for last moment booking a room The cleartrip with just a word sorry initiated my refund.May I request the consumer forum to intervene and direct Cleartrip to duly compensate me for the mental agony, the extra expediture incurred by me, the inconveinience caused to my family wherein I had to replan my Kerela Trip, They kept me on road inspite of ooking the Room 2 Mths in advance.               Hello All, I am Rikin Gaikwad and I booked Elephant Court - Thekkedy for 3rd Oct, but when I reached the hotel they were not holding my booking. Called up the customer support but they were not helpful. The main issues are: 1) If my hotel booking was not confirmed in Elephant Thekkedy, why was I not send a single sms or email to inform the same, I booked the hotel on 7th Sep. 2) Why was I not presented with any option when your customer team could have given me better resorts on 3rd Oct or before that. 3) When I reached Elephant Court, Mr.Sreelaj from Elephant Court categorically said that they are holding my booking in Pepper Vine, the resort was not booked by me and I gave no consent to Cleartrip to provide me alternate accommodation. 4) Why was no bill send on my email id, if you hear the conversation between me and your customer support team of 4th Oct, she clearly said that cleartrip will send email to me with the invoice in next 3 hours. It has been more than 6 days. Still no response. I demand a full refund for my booking at Elephant Court, Thekkedy as we were never given accommodation there. And I paid for a Five Star Resort property and not for any new hotel where construction was still going on, Pepper Vine is not even rated on Trip Advisor. I would have cancelled my trip to thekkedy altogether if Cleartrip would have been more transparent with the booking. Cleartrip knew from the start that Elephant Court is not available and they intended to give me accommodation in Pepper Vine without even taking my consent. Cleartrip customer support is pathetic and they should have resolved the issue but they didnt. I am a loyal customer of Cleartrip and always book my flight tickets through the cleartrip website, it was the first time I booked my hotel through it and they didn’t deliver. My Call Log to Cleartrip Customer Support:3rd Oct - Called at 1:36 PM to resolve the issue, was told will get a call back within an hour, but didn't get the call4th Oct - Called at 10:47 PM, the call time was for more than 90 minutes, Mr.Yash came on the call and told me that i will get a revert withing 3-4 hours, it has been 6 days Mr.Yash didn't called me up.7th Oct - Called up at 11 AM, Ms.Elena came on call told me categorically that she will give me a call within an hour but she didn't. 7th Oct - Also registered complain on the cleartrip website, case # 07954978 still no revert from Cleartrip. 7th Oct - Again called up at 1:11PM - Ms.Arti picked up the call and said that Ms.Elena is busy on another call, she will get back to me in another 2 hours, but she didn't.7th Oct - Again Called up at 4:14 PM - Your executive informed that she has spoken to Ms.Elena, but she is not on the floor at the moment and she will call back after 1 hour, but she didn't.7th Oct - Again Called up at 5:33 PM, I was told Ms.Elena has left for the day without resolving my issue, then Mr.Vishal Chedha came on the call and told me that he will call me in 2 hours to update on the issue and surprisingly he did gave me a call and informed me that the issue has been sent to Cleartrip Mumbai Office and I will get a revert on 8th Oct before 1PM.8th Oct - Called up at 3:54 PM as I still had no update, your customer executive told me that Mr.Vishal is busy and I will get my Call today but i didn't.9th Oct - Again Called up Mr.Vishal, he told me that he has got a resolution which is same as earlier, I never got a single call from any of your representative to discuss the issue.I demand full refund for my booking as Cleartrip didn't provide the accommodation I booked and they didn't even bothered to let me know that my booking is not confirmed even though they had more than 25 days to inform me the same. Please find attached the booking voucher and scan copy of the invoice from pepper vine, which clearly suggest that Cleartrip didn't deliver what was being paid for and forced me to stay in a substandard hotel.                 I tried to book train on 15sep2014.trip id is [protected] but due to cleartrip failure booking was not done.but train fare was deducted from my hdfc account.still they didnt refund my money back.i mailed customer care 10-16times..but they didnt support me.please refund my money.

                        Trip Id [protected] I had booked a return flight from Bombay to Johannesburg and back on refundable ticket. The ticket says the cancellation fees is Rs. 3000 and total price of ticker was Rs. 48000. I had to cancel the return leg of the flight and the refund that has been processes is only Rs. 1469. Is this some kind of joke. I expect immediate reconcilation or I am taking you guys to press and consumer court

                          I am extremely fedup of calling Cleartrip for rescheduling my return flight and they are redirecting my call to specific carrier for which I booked my ticket(Jetkonnect).Various excuses given by cleartrip executives:- 1)They are telling that from 3dec(for which I need to reschedule my return flight) - 13 dec they are no available jetairways flight But On checking on cleartrip site I told them that flight is available.So, they made one more excuse saying that if it should be of same airlines i.e If you have booked jetkonnect then flight can't be rescheduled to jetairways 2)On Calling second time after I searched for available jetkonnect flight for travel between 3dec to 13 dec, they told one more new thing that flight numbers of same airlines should also be same which is not at all mentioned in their or any rescheduling policies of any flight booking site .For eg.According to them if I have booked JetKonnect S2 4608 I should check for same flight number and can't book my trip from JetKonnect 9W-2793. After my conversation customer care executive forced me to talk to jetairways customer care and jetairways support directly told me that I booked my ticket through cleartrip they can't assist me for any change and Cleartrip is responsible for any changes done. 3)On calling third time to cleatrip customer care executive, He told that no tickets are available for period of 3dec to 13 dec in booked airlines (Jetkonnect/Jetairways as according to him as well both airlines is same and he didn't mention that rescheduling is only possible if flight numbers are same) and when I pleaded him wait let me check the available flight as I had seen few minutes back and let him know the details ; he told me thrice within the fraction of a minute that they are getting other customer calls and can't wait for me reverting with flight number(though i waited for 5-10 mins when he was gathering information regarding my request).I pleaded him saying to wait as I am in urgency for rescheduling;without saying anythng he just cut the call. KINDLY HELP!!!

                          Though Jet Konnect and Jet Airways are operated by one organization, the same are being operated separately. Since, they have decided to merge and operate as one carrier i.e Jet Airways effective 01st Dec'14, the Jet Konnect flights are not available as they would be operated as Jet Airways.

                          However, as per the information received from the airline, they have requested us to divert all the passengers to them, who are facing any issues related to this and they shall take care of at their end.

                          Hence, we request you to get in touch with them on 39893333 and they shall be in a better position to assist you as we have not been authorized to change the airline in such scenarios.

                            Sir, I booked a hotel room at Mookambika through cleartrip for three persons on 14th September. They deducted Rs 778 from my account in South Indian Bank.On arrival at the Hotel Sriratna guest house at Mookambika I was told no rooms were booked. The hotel peoples also told me that they have no connection with cleartrip. By this it was evident that the company Cleartrip was cheating me. I rang the number of cleartrip, but I received only a recorded message asking me to wait. I waited more thantwenty minutes, but there were no answer other than the repeated message. A few days I ago I sent a complain through their feed back system online, but no reply at all. I request you to refund my money as well as to compensate my pain and sufferings.                                 Recently I have booked honeymoon trip for my friend Mr. Hitesh . Who is currently in Kerala and staying in hotels that I have booked through cleartrip.
                                2nd October he checked out from houseboat and I am writing this mail to lodge a complaint against the Houseboat owners (B4You houseboats).
                                I called the houseboat owners on 1st October and informed them the time Hitesh will be arriving in Alleppey, I called them again on 2nd Oct to remind them, to be extra sure they dont forget. Even after all this effort Hitesh was made to wait for around 1hrs 30 mins citing technical issues in the houseboat. Houseboat was never present there. They arranged for a makeshift houseboat which was completely shoddy and had bad sanitation. Rooms were not proper and bathroom was dirty and stinked. It was no way a deluxe houseboat that we had booked.
                                This is really disgusting on part of the houseboat owner and it has indeed spoiled my friends honeymoon, to say the least. One would never expect this to happen on a Honeymoon!

                                I want complete refund of my entire money and moreover I would want cleartrip to take action against the houseboat owner. This is completely unacceptable, the best day of his life turned out to be a nightmare!

                                  I made a booking to Aquarius Cottage Kakkayam, Kozhikode, I got the confirmation from Cleartrip but the hotel owner ( [protected] ) is saying we have no booking. I am trying to reach Cleartrip but the call center automatic is always keeping me on hold saying we are on high volume Trip ID : [protected] I tried to reach Clear trip by mulitple means - Email to [protected]@cleartrip.com [protected]@cleartrip.com, Twitter - @Cleartrip, Call Center Number[protected] Urgent Number - +[protected] but didn't get any reponse from any means even after hours of mutiple attempts I have booked a local Taxi who is going to charge me even if we won't go. The Hotel Booking - 6000 INR from clearTrip Wastage of Holidays Mental frustration Phon call charges wasted to try to call cleartrip.

                                  the alternate booking was given and why it wasn't of any use and why the whole journey resuted into mental trauma, these all points I have mentioned in the complaint to Core.nic.in

                                  I made a booking to Aquarius Cottage Kakkayam, Kozhikode, I got the confirmation from Cleartrip but the hotel owner is saying we have no booking.

                                  When I reached the city and called owner he denied the booking and said we have no reservation.

                                  from that time (12 AM midnight) I tried to reach Cleartrip Customer Support (This number is 24*7 operational http://www.cleartrip.com/support/ )but the customerCare[protected] automatic phone always kept me on hold saying we are on high volume or dropped my call, I also tried to reach Cleartrip through other methods from alternate phone number - ( +[protected], EMailId - [protected]@cleartrip.com, [protected]@cleartrip.com, SocialNetworking account - https://twitter.com/Cleartrip. The result was that I was on road with my family from midnight to next day afternoon, Later when I was able to reach them than they gave one alternata booking which was 60 kms away from the place, I was able to reach the place only after 5 PM.

                                  My Concern is
                                  1. They shouldn't have given confirm booking if the room is not available, One of them is culpirit ( ClearTrip or Hotel )
                                  2. They claim to available 24*7 but they didn't even respond to any of the multiple means which I tried to reach them
                                  3. They never called back only I was able to reach them other day.
                                  4. They should have given the alternate something nearby but the alternate given by them was 60 kms away
                                  5. If they would have told us earlier or they wouldn't have given us the confirm booking we would have not gone us.


                                  I can produce more documents where I tried to reach them as well as phone call records etc.

                                  Damages -

                                  1. I was on road from midnight to next day evening in unknown city without Sleep.
                                  2. I was with my family and we couldn't get the place whole night, we couldn't go to sleep, loo or toilet, couldn't eat.
                                  3. Mental Frustration for the whole family for more than 24 hours
                                  4. The lack of sleep could have resulted in a accident resulting a great mishap.
                                  5. The alternate option is no way up to the mark as it was arranged after lot of requesting to cleartrip and also it was more than 60 kms away

                                    i had booked a hotel in shimla with trip id [protected] and it is a confirmed booking from yor side. But when i called the hotel Sukh Sagar Regency on their no [protected], they are denying any availability or booking fromcleartrip or with my name. This is such a shocking incidence as i have already done my payment and i m following up with the customer care for the last 16 hours and they are unable to provide any solution. And more interestingly today also your site is showing availability in that hotel without any confirmation from the hotel.I am going through a very poor experience of your company.                                       I have emailed cleartrip support on 28/9/14 for clarification on changes advised by them due to rescheduling of a flight on my booked route, with Case #07738626, but the company is not responding since 3 days, and giving a lot of stress on the fate of my trip.

                                        I had booked two tickets from Hanoi to Denpasar (Bali) using Cleartrip. The flight involved 2 airlines - Vietnam Airlines from Hanoi to Singapore and Jetstar from Singapore to Bali. I booked my trip as a Hanoi - Denpasar trip. Knowing that Jetstar is a budget airline, I wrote to Cleartrip well in advance asking about their policy for checked in baggage. Cleartrip replied that I would have to check with the airline. I contacted the airline on my own - they informed me that my ticket entitled me to 20 kg of checked in baggage per pax. When I went to board my flight at Hanoi, I was informed by Vietnam Airlines that they had no arrangements with Jetstar to forwaarrd my baggage to the connecting flight, and I would have to collect my baggage from the airport and check it in for my onward journey. On arrival in Singapore, I was denied access to the baggage area since I did not have a Singapore Visa. I had no option but to abandon my trip and return to Hanoi. - for which I had to buy a separate ticket. Cleartrip is responsible for not informing me about the non-arrangement between the 2 airlines and not informing me that I would require a Visa for Singapore. When I wrote to them, they have responded by giving me a ZERO refund. They have simply shrugged off their responsibility. I request your assistance in getting a full refund.
