    Had purchased 2+2+3 sofa set, within six months so-called leather started to change colour and spots started to appear sofa set was worth 1, 30, 000 which came with 5year warranty, now they wont even lodge complaint, i also purchased a dinning table worth 89, 000 which was sold to me saying this is italian marble table top, but actually it was just some cheap stone covered with paper making it look like italian marble, durian is a fraud company with no sense of customer satisfaction goods were purchased from their noida store, fortunately they asked for Cform later, which in any case i am not giving to them.         I purchased sofa set (Blos/37930/b) worth rs.70, 000 from durian outlet at vashi on 26th april, 2013 with 5 years warranty period. The sofa leather stitching ripped off within a year time. I made complaint to durian with several reminders, but no action has been taken.

          Sir, I purchased sofa set from your company's indore outlet on dtd.13/10/2013 which is under guarantee for one year & under warranty for five years but not more than ten months passed the handrest portion of one of the piece of purchased sofa set leatherette stitching was removed. Today it was stitched in very haphazard manner by the person sent from your outlet. The photos of stitched portion are attached herewith for your kind consideration and the employee who came for the repair work is saying that this work could be done in this way only if you want better work to be performed on damaged portion the piece should be sent to our workshop which will take at least one month to be get repaired & the cost will be born by purchaser. As it is been disclosed to me while purchasing that within one year if any product fault comes to the notice, then the product will be replaced if not repairable to its original finished as for first one year it is under guaranty. Sir, it is humbly requested to do the favour in the best possible way as at the time of purchased i was convinced by your salesman at indore that i am purchasing the product from india's best customer friendly company in furniture making. But the first experience received by me is very depressing.             Want to share an extremely bad experience with durian furniture. I purchased a dining table set (With 6 chairs) - model dws/34769/dt dining set along with 6 emerald chairs from durian showroom on mulund link road, goregaon (E), mumbai vide invoice no gog/june/h/33 dt 14/6/14. The salesperson ritu promised delivery on 16/6/14, which never happened. Eventually after escalating the matter to her supervisor naz, the delivery was planned for 25/6/14. The showroom delivered only 4 chairs citing that 2 chairs had got damaged and would be supplied the next day. Subsequently the chairs which were sent (After 2 days of intense follow up) were from a different lot and shade. After these chairs were returned, we have been harassed to get the 2 chairs of correct shade delivered. We were told the best the showroom can do is to accept all 6 chairs from a different lot (And different color as compared to the table). The 2 chairs which were forced to select from the different lot are of a different shade and spoil the aesthetics of the table set. Extremely disappointed and aggrieved with the harassment met out to us. Unbecoming of a brand like durian. Recommending to other customers to beware of such callous customer servicing.

              Dear Concerned,


              I have bought Sofa Set costing Rs.58, 000/= with five years warrantee
              from Durian Industries Ltd. from their Vashi Show Room: PlotNo.44, Sector
              -19-E, Palm Beach Road, Near Galaria Mall, Vashi, Navi Mumbai - 400 705 delivered on 10th July ‘2013.


              It was a shocking affair to note that within a span of one month o[censored]sage; the above
              referred Sofa set has become non worthy to give preferred comfort with cushion seating
              oddly lowering down on sitting, escalating heavy pain while getting up.


              Being totally depressed I was in repeated follow ups with your Vashi Show Room to depute
              their technician or replacement of set was in vain. However, after a lapse of
              around eight months one Mr. Patil extended the courtesy to attend to grievance of
              condition of Soft set bought by me and deputed his technician to survey the
              same. The Technician then deputed, observing the condition of the Sofa Set had conveyed
              me that the Sofa Set needs to be changed completely and had promised to arrange
              for pick up of the same. Almost eight months has passed but the problem has not
              been resolved, causing me lot of pains and agony.


              The delayed action clearly signifies that Durian Industries Ltd. a name of repute has
              literally failed in extending Customer Support and required services after
              sales and is only bent upon to take their customers for a ride betraying, victimizing
              and harassing them by all means.


              Since mentioned Sofa Set is not money worth paid by me, I hereby request for complete refund or immediate replacement of products purchased by me within seven days from the receipt of this e-mail
              failing which I will be constrained to approach Consumer Court and the company will
              be solely responsible for defamation of their image and their products.

                Had Purchased durian sofa set( 3+2+1) on 28.08.2009 against payment of Rs.95, 000.00. Just within six month of purchase, the reality of their worst quality of raw materials used by them has come out ie. The outer frames of all sofa set has been eaten away by termite & continued. The foot of One set has already been grounded as there is no strength in the frame now. The spring inside the set also loosen though it was repaired once by them a year back. The internal frames of sofa set used by durian in worse than even packing woods. I am repenting that why I was not purchased sofa set made by plastic rather than durian make. No one can imagine such a worst quality of raw materials used by “ Durian” I have been cheated badly by this CO. & poised for black listed by the competent authority & their license to be cancelled as well as their all works+ show room to be locked/ their higher authority to be put behind bar as they may be treated as top cheater to the common/ innocent customer. U r requested to take up the matter with the above Co for free replacement ( or refund of my amount) other wise take stern action against them as well as warn the future customers to do not buy any furniture from : Durian till replacement of my defective sofa set. No furniture of such high value (Rs.1, 000, 00.00) will have self life of only 3 years. I have also purchased other furniture’s about 25 years old made by local carpenter which are intact & no repair is still required. I am govt employee purchased the above set with a perception that I am buying the sofa set from a renowned manufacturer to last at least ten year.                   Hi,
                  I bought a 5 (3+1+1) seater sofa from Durian showroom in Gurgaon sector-17, around 3 years back for Rs. 30, 000. At the time of purchase the showroom person told that the product carries 5 years of warranty and if there are any quality issues with the product they will take care of it. However, after using the sofa for just 1.5 years the stitching started to fall apart. I contacted Durian customer care but there was no action taken from their end. I continued following up with the showroom from where I bought the sofa (and even mailed photographs of the sofa's detoriated condition) but even they didn't takeany action. After hard struggle they provided me the contact details of some Mr. S.P. Agarwal who according to them was in-charge of taking care of such complaints. I contacted him and he promised that someone will visit my residence and solve the issue. However, nobody visited my place even after repeatedly following up with Mr. Agarwal. In the mean time around 1.5 years went by and the condition of the same became even worse. Finally when I visited the Durian showroom again on 12/10/2013 and confronted the showroom guy he again referred me to Mr. Agarwal and when I put my point strongly he agreed to send his guy. His service guy visited my place today (19/10/2013) and after evaluating the condition of the sofa asked to pay Rs.11, 000 for repairing it. I discussed the matter with Mr. Agarwal who said that during warranty period all repair expenses are to be born by me so I need to pay Rs.11, 000. I asked him if I am paying for repairing your sub-standard product then what was the purpose of the warranty? Why at the time of purchase nobody mentioned this? They have cheated me by first selling a sub-standard product in the name of Durian and then later on misrepresenting facts regarding warranty. Kindly help me.

                    Had purchased their bed and sofa and horribly during installation itself the wood started breaking from corners.
                    Drawer of wardrobe broke and came out. Since this shameless people claim warranty of 5 years, had called them several times but was treated like an alien.
                    Luckily once a person assured of visit by their carpenter, who never came. Have lost complete hope in this company but still believe that some day they might change the system and revert to customer being loyal on the brand name.

                      I bought a sofa for Rs.10500 from Durian Noida Showroom in 2009. Company provides 5 year warranty on the product. And my product has started to tear within 2-3 years of purchase. I have launched a complaint for same and now company is asking me for Rs.8000(transportation extra) to repair it which i find is not the suitable amount for a product. Kindly refer to this problem.
                      Durian is the worst manufacturer and moreover has a nastiest and shameful after sales service.
                      Had purchased their Bed and Sofa and horribly during installation itself the wood started breaking from corners.
                      Drawer of Wardrobe broke and came out. Since this shameless people claim warranty of 5 years, had called them several times but was treated like an alien.
                      Luckily once a person assured of visit by their carpenter, who never came. Have lost complete hope in this company but still believe that some day they might change the system and revert to customer being loyal on the brand name.

                        We bought a sofa cum bed and lounger from durian in mumbai in may 2011.After only 19 months out of which it was used for only six months the so called leather cover of both sofa and loung started peeling off.The set looks horrible.The company office at goregaon mumbai says that sine one year is over the leather cover will be changed by charging money.I fail to understand that they claim its good quality italian leather how its peeling like rexin? They should provide new cover without any charges.

                          This is to share the facts of the harrowing experience I had with your Durian authorized show room at Rani Jhansi Road at Delhi on 5 December 2012.

                          I bought a table for my children and the person who was present at the time was one Mr. S P Agrawal. I paid the total amount by credit card and cash. However I was given a receipt only for the credit card but not for the cash paid. The invoice no. is RJ/RI /123 book no – 3.

                          The next day I noticed to my horror that the table that I bought did not have the wood on the rear side and was taped by cello tape. I shared this with Mr. Agarwal and was told that someone who come to my house to repair the table. I told him that I expect a replacement but was told that it could only be repaired. This was indeed a big set back to me and i was surprised to get a disappointing response. I then immediately called the mumbai Durain office and spocke with mr ramesh tripathi to intervene and help. So far there is no response from the mumbai office aswell.



                          Since then I have been following up but neither has someone come to repair it nor has Mr. Agarwal taken my calls. I again went to the showroom but was met by a different person who refused to hear me out and asked me to contact only Mr. Agarwal. On the day i visited the showroom after several follow ups Mr. Agarwal came on his cel number he was rude, arrogant and callous and said I could make a complaint in the show room and wait for a response. i requested to meet his as i trusted him as he had sent a packed table to my home at round 9pm on the day of purchase, since the entire dealing from finalization of the table to payement, mr agarwal has done, how can he ignore a customer like this.


                          I am shocked that a reputed brand like Durian can behave like this and offer sub-standard products to its customers. This is a case of cheating and I accept someone to resolve the issue for me. if the same is not attended in the next three i would take necessary action as this has lead to a lot of mental stress due to follow ups / my children are unable to utilize the product which i had baught for there use. Durian compnay responsible representative has never even bothered to even give a call even once till date.

                            I had purchased 2 single seater sofas during the sale period for rs. 9, 800 each and made payment for rs. 19, 600 in advance. I was promised delivery within a few days, however as i preferred the delivery to be on weekend, i ask them to deliver it after a week. When i recieved no calls from the showroom for the delivery, i called up the durian showroom and spoke to rajendra - the store manager. He told me that he will check and call me back in 5mins. After 1 hr when i did not recieve any call back, i called back and was told that they can deliver only 1 of the sofa as the other piece which was also the last piece was damaged. When i enquired why this was not told to me sooner, the person has no answer. As an alternate, he told me to keep 1 sofa and buy something else or he can give me another 1 seater in some other design. I told him that would not make sense and i would prefer to get a refund of the money paid. He told me i would get the cheque within 15 days. When i asked that when i have paid in advance, why should i wait for 15 days for getting the money back, he again had no answer. When i demanded to speak to a customer relation office, his response was that he was the only point of contact and i could not contact anyone else.

                            Next around wednesday, he called me and told me that he had another cheaper sofa, for which he had 2 single seater which he could give me for the same price. I agreed as i wanted a pair of sofas before the new year party. It was supposed to be delivered on 29th dec 2012. That never happened. Then he said it will be on sunday, 30 dec 2012. I spent the entire weekend staying at home to recieve the delivery and again i did not recieve any follow up. When i called, i was told that again when they opened the box, the sofa was damaged and hence no delivery. (Does durian have only damage furniture.) anyways i am now tired of the crap this person is giving me. I want my entire money refunded along with the interest which my credit card company is charging me. I would also be interested to know, if i can be compensated for the mental trauma and the disheartment i have to go through of not being able to be a good host during my house party.

                            I would be more than satisfied if my original order is delivered to me today.

                              We had purchase dining set from your surat durion showroom on[protected].Invoice no:sur/h/cs/05/00031 name of manishkumar babulal patel. After instoling the dining set few month, its lesser spock are opened from the glass base. I had done complain to your service center and they are solved it. After few days same problem appear with other lesser spock and i had done complain to your service center and they solved that problem. I told him that time please solve this problem permenantly and if it is not possible you change this set. They told me this time we use more powerful liquid, so now this problem is not appear again. But it is not possible and this problem is contineuosly appear mor time and we had done complain every time they solve the problem, but permenantly not solved this problem.
                              O, i go to your showroom and meet to your mananger mr. Rajiv shukla, and told him entire cylce from the date of purchase to till today. They told me your lesser spock is damagge so you have to change it and now your warranty time period is over so you have to pay for it. I told him this problem is not came from resently this is contineuosly appear from i purchase this dining set. And also i told him you check your complain record if in your warranty time period i had not done any complain regarding this problem then i have agree to pay for it. They told me we have not previous record of complain.
                              They told me no one customer are stood if this type of problem contineously coming why are you not coming previously? I am so upset to listen in this. Today our respectvely nature is expensive any difficulty for us.
                              Today our dining sets three lesser spock is opened and glass base is free from legs. I hope you solve this problem.
                              Customer setisfaction is most important for the business.

                                I had a harrowing experience at the Goregaon store of Durian for a sofa set my brother had bought some 2.5 years back after it broke (it actually caved in)

                                The store asked for Rs. 4500 as repair charges in spite of the product being under warranty

                                They advertise "5 years Warranty" throughout their shop by way of POSM and all other branded collateral).The fact of the matter is that they offer only 1 year of Warranty and 4 years of labour availability (but charge for the work the labour puts in)

                                This is very misleading and we were not informed about this at the time of purchase by the salesman and the Durian staff

                                Their staff treats consumers who have already made their purchase with absolute disdain and have a "Take it or Leave It" attitude

                                They have 'imported' furniture and consumers tend to buy it thinking that they have a safety net of 5 years in case something happens but the fact of the matter is that the product 'caved in' and needed repairs in less than 3 years

                                They are using '5 Years Warranty' as a sales tactic, whereas it is absolutely untrue and misleading

                                This post is just for the purpose of letting everyone know - purchase from Durian knowing the risks involved

                                Has any member had similar issues with Durian or know of anyone who got them sorted out? Will be great to know how they went about it.

                                Durian Furniture — Damaged in six month

                                One of the worst furniture supplier in terms of quality, response and handling customer complaint.
                                I have such a bad experiance of this guys ...will never even see this shop or brand anymore.
                                just cheating people ....
                                Careful for the Durian furniture,,
                                Durian is the worst manufacturer and moreover has a nastiest and shameful after sales service.
                                Had purchased their Bed and Sofa and horribly during installation itself the wood started breaking from corners.
                                Drawer of Wardrobe broke and came out. Since this shameless people claim warranty of 5 years, had called them several times but was treated like an alien.
                                Luckily once a person assured of visit by their carpenter, who never came. Have lost complete hope in this company but still believe that some day they might change the system and revert to customer being loyal on the brand name.
                                Any senior officials of Durian who cares to know true feedback from their customer, call the undersigned.

                                  Hi

                                  I had purchased a sofa (3 and 2 seater) worth a lakh rupees from Durian considering it as a branded company.

                                  The sofa skin started peeling off in 2 months time and after complaints Durian never responded. We have been trying to follow up regularly but we are not getting any response.

                                  This is the worst type of service we got from a Branded compant and we are not sure what to do .

                                    I have bought a sofa cum bed from durian industries ltd., 2/69, w. H. S. Kirti nagar, new delhi-110015,
                                    India which was delivered on 20 aug 2010 which is still in warranty. Within 3 months this sofa cum bed has developed problmes with its functioning. We contactd durian customer care in november and they sent one service person who came, inspected and said the lever is not working. He said he will get it replaced within 15 days. But no one after that came or even responded to our dozen of calls to durian
                                    Customer care at[protected]. The request no for this complaint is 184907. Almost 4 months have gone by but this problem has not been resolved.
                                    Customer care each time promise to get it repaired but absolutely no action has been taken till date.
                                    In the month of december we also sent bill copy and warrenty card copy to cusomer care as requested but again nothing happened. Around 3 weeks back we received a call from one mr. S. P. Aggarwal (Care taker) as he told his name after repeated callings to customer care, he also promised to take action but again nothing happened.
                                    Last we again called customer care on 12/3/2011, executive said that she will get the problem resolved in 2 days and again promised call in 10 minutes but again as expected from this comapny, nothing happened, not even a single call from any one.

                                    I am rally frustated at this bahaviour of this so called reputed company with so called 5 year warranty.
                                    Now this piece of furniture is useless to me. I demand either complete refund or immediate replacment of this product. This has already caused me lot of pains and agony.

                                    Please help me out of this mess and save me from this comapany as they take their customers
                                    For a ride literally.

                                    I bought a Sofa set (3+2+1) in 28th December 2010. After 3 moths the arm of the single seat torn off. I called up customer care. The person came and all he did was sew the torn off place which looked very odd. However, in March 2013 we found that the rexene on the 3 seater torn off from joint and opened up. I called the customer care again. This time they said that this will be a paid visit as the Sofa is more than 1 year old. When I reminded them that the sofa was under 5 years warrantee, they agreed to send someone. One week passed no one came. Then I called again and they gave me this S.P. Agarwal's number. He said that the technician is on leave and will be back after 15 days. I called again after 15 days, he said he is sending someone. 2 months passed and nothing happened. I called Agarwal again, he repeated the promise and again a month passed, nothing happened. Then I called again and blasted. His man came after a week and said 3 sofa panels (seats) have to be replaced which will cost Rs.2250/-. When I told them that this being on warrantee, only material cost is to be levied, he said this is material cost only. I inquired in market and found that the material cost is only Rs.200/-. When I called Agarwal to inform him this, he asked me to get the material and he will get it sewed for free. I got the material. The called him. Now he says he is not sure when he can send his men.

                                    All I can tell from this is that Durian products, as is evident from above are of substandard quality and the company has a pathetic after sales service. I have advised all my friends and acquaintances not to buy any DURIAN product.

                                      I had bought a leather recliner from durian's gurgaon showroon in mar-2009. Within 6 months, despite of very limited usage, its so-called high-density foam sagged, its leather got creased very badly, got cracked and dis-colored at a number of places. After repeated follow-ups, durian repaired the recliner but repairs didn't last for more than 3 months and cracks started re-appearing. Since then, i have had multiple follow-ups (Complaints in customer services dept, emails to corporate/marketing teams) but to no avail.

                                      I feel that going to consumer forum appears like the only option left.

                                      Please help me.

                                      We from Sroi Sharada Institute of Indian Managem, ent Research purchased one office table and two big size cupboard 2 years back, not it got some touch up repairing work. for That I lodge a complaint in[protected] with a service request, after 12 days from the date of complaint one person came at 7 pm in the evening and he told that I will need another 15 days to send the technician for the work, Fro that event also 15 days happened. but nothing happened, Today again on 30th April 2011 i have lodge a service request and again it is told that it will take another 7 days to attend the service request,

                                      With such kind of service how they are serviving,
