Dear Sir/Madam
Myself Deepak kumar tolani and my SB a/c is[protected] i took 30000 cash from hdfc bank. I paid instalment regularly but due to financial crisis i lost my job so i can't instalment regularly but when i manage amount i asked to credit card divission on this no .[protected] on this no Mr. Deep Mishra (state head) he told me that ur satelment amount is 24000 and when u paid this amount i send u sattelment letter next day so i paid 24000 rupee dated[protected] and Mr. deep mishra give me his mobile no for contacting. from 11 th jan i m calling regularly but they are not receinvng my call .
After some days i m getting notice from hdfc bank that ur due is 46000 so plz help me i take 30000 and total i paid 42000 ( instalment+ settelment amount)

They harassed me for one year and i want to share my experience with everyone.

HDFC bank Credit card recovery department is most notorious in the country.

That is the reason they can show very low Non Performing Assets because they never write off any of the settlements done with the customers.
They did the same with me for one year. I took the matter with ombudsman, using all the emails that i had sent for one year, the settlement letter scanned copy and the proof of payment that i had done. Now i have received the zero balance confirmation and the write off in cibil.

They try to get you into accepting expired settlement letter after which you have no rights. Make sure you make the payment within the written time frame of the settlement letter at all cost

*they sent harassing recovery agents on 'behalf of HDFC Credit card'
*the agent wanted me to make part payments rather than asking for settlement letter
*they tried to make me accept the expired settlement letter.
*they did not honour their written commitment made via their settlement letter for writting off the dues.
*they kept on refusing on emails and kept asking for more money for writing off in cibil records.
* I took up the issue with their "Nodal officer" as well but to no use.
*finally i took all the mails to the ombudsman and got the issue resolved.
*Till date HDFC credit card department holds that everything that was done is in accordance with bank policies. (only God knows how many inhumane policies do they have in their kitty)
*they have wasted my whole one year in followups, mental harrasment, and botheration.

Stay away from HDFC bank for all reasons.

    Bank has TRANSFERED my Money of 9804.55 Rs without my knowledge from my Account. if Bank had any dues from my side it has to clarified and legally it has to be sorted.but i had account that bank and deposited 10500 for some urgency, they took my Money.

      2nd March,2010

      Still after one month since we closed our account, we failed to get "the written confirmation letter" for the closure of our SBA nor did the HDFC BANK pay the remaining accrued interest upon our money remained with them in 2010.

      Our grievance sent to HDFC BANK's manager Ms. Gayatri stand as follows.


      17th February, 2010

      Sub.: Account closed due to the hell of the harassment from Ms Gayatri but failed to get the closure letter and the balance accrued interest, still after three weeks- while RBI states a week period only to close SBA.

      We closed our SBA on 29th Jan., 2010; due to the hell of the harassment we faced for so long from Ms. Gayatri Krishan Rao (Branch Manager: Churchgate Branch).

      BUT still after three weeks, our account (SBA No.: [protected])is not yet closed.
      So does it mean that you people are back to further harassment?

      BRIEFS:

      (1) We have closed our SBA ([protected]) on 29th January,2010 ie almost three weeks back.
      (2) The closure form was handed over to Mr. Ajay of HDFC bank.
      (3) We were promised that in 2/3 days time you would get the “closing letter” from the bank.
      (4) Still after three weeks, your bank has failed to send us the needed intimation/letter informing us the closure of the above captioned SBA.
      (5) WHY?
      (6) We were asked for the reasons for such closure, whereas we have already mentioned verbally and in writing too about all these harassments; which have made us to close our so old account for ever.
      (7) Refer the closure form. Sr. No.4. Reason code: 5.
      (8) We were also categorically asked about the harassment we faced from Ms. Gayatri.
      (9) And we had detailed out as to how this lady had kept on harassing us for so long just to close our “deceased daughter’s SBA”.
      (10) Secondly we had also detailed out as to how this lady refused to correct the wrong/less interest calculated in our as much as 12 FD. And we suffered monetarily when HDFC paid less interest for all these 12 FD.
      (11) The funniest part was that the top banks like HSBC & SCB (also CNBC TV reporter) have made the calculation and agreed that we were less paid, but this lady Gayatri was adamant enough to rectify the error. And she calls herself the branch manager.
      (12) SO THIS IS YOUR HDFCB BANK, who does not even hesitate to do such daylight robbery in this way.

        HI MY WIFE IS WORKING WITH HDFC BANK LTD,
        I FOUND IT RIDICULOUS THAT THE TIMINGS OF THE BANK ARE NOT SCHEDULED,
        OFFICERS ARE FORCED TO WORK AFTER CLOSING UPTO 8 PM EVEN ON HALF DAY WORKING, GENERALLY BANK TIMINGS ARE 9.30 TO 3.30 BUT THEY ARE BEING CALLED BY 9 AND LEFT BY 7 OR 8 OR MORE. NO RESTING PLACE, NO TIMINGS OF LUNCH,
        NO OTHER INCENTIVES ALLOWED, JUST HARRASSING THE PEOPLES WORKING OUT THERE, NO HIKE OF SALARY NO PROMOTIONS ON TIME LIKE OTHER PUBLIC SECTOR BANKS AND SEMI PRIVATE BANKS,
        HDFC BANK IS JUST SPOILING COUNTRY HR POLICIES AND FREEDOM AND BEING COMFORTABLE TO WORK,
        SUCH A BIG CORPORATE IS BEHAVING SHAMELESS.

        Hi, if anyone has time to read.
        I was working with HDFC Bank, I am continously following for my F& F from last so many months, But my concern Manager {Anuj sharma A.S. M}has not time to give us, he had lot of time to take Business from our team, but no he has not have time to get their settlement done.
        I followed with HR, they said they have forwarded mail to concern person, dont know how many years he or she will take to do this.who knows who is this concern person .
        The manager tolad me, for settlement of[protected], why you getting worried, i want to ask i[censored] need to pay this much amount then u people wont get any employee's settlement done.

        How can i get my PF when my F& F is still pending.

        Can anybody help???????????????????
        hdfc bank calls it self as no one private sector bank but do they really know whats going on in the branches?
        Silvassa branch is the one branch where employees are harassed like anything.bank officers Surekha and Suresh are harrasing other employees and making their life hell..and that also in front we customers
        these people behave like they r the owners of the bank..thr's one more affair going on in the branch it self about which a common customer like me can also easily know.
        i am really surprised to see that what professionalism the bank maintains while behaving so rudly and badly with employees?

          informed you earlier inspite of settlement & all

          to make payment. It is too much herrasment you are
          still doing & TRYING TO GET BOGUS INCOME.

            Submitted Third-party transfer (TPT) request with filled application to HDFC Sarjapur Branch on 10th Feb 2010. Branch people got to know that I was from Oracle and asked me about free Demat account but I said No for it. Later, my application was verified and I was said that TPT will be activated in 7 working days. I was waiting for activation and gave call to Customer care on 24th of Feb 2010. Customer care said they will take complaint against Branch and update me on status. Complaint no. is BAN058458. I did not get update from Branch later. I called on 25th again because o[censored]rgency to get TPT activated for personal medical reasons. However, Complaint Department said they still did not get any revert from Branch.

            I called again on 27th of Feb (today). Complaint department lady I spoke said that complaint department has got update from Branch on 25th of Feb 2010 saying that my Oracle Employee ID was not provided in TPT application and hence was rejected.

            Problems faced:
            1. I was promised by complaint department that I will be updated when they get revert from Bank on status of my TPT. They got update on 25th but I did not get a call back. They also lie now that they called me on 25th and I did not take the call. I'm holding a serious Business responsibility at Oracle and I dont miss my calls. Also the TPT is my highest priority. Additionally Complaint department had been sending sms about complaint and details but did not get any sms from complaint department on 25th.
            2. ***More severe issue is that a simple aspect of employee id not filled in my TPT application. Branch people can call me and ask my employee id for verification needs if any they have. Also Helpdesk in Oracle office is not accepting TPT applications. ******TPT application form is not having a field to fill information on my employee id. When I went to branch for submitting application, branch should have asked me to fill the employee id during my initial submission itself. But instead, it took **17 days, 10th when I submitted my initial application and until 27th feb 2010, to update about missing employee id in my TPT application. Now I'm asked to resubmit TPT application but unfortunately HDFC Sarjapur Branch or any other Bangalore branches still dont know that Oracle or other such Company employees need to provide employee id in their TPT application and it takes 17 days or even more than that to update a Corporate employee. Don't know if this kind of failure in Bank operation is due to any Bank Management decisions on Corporate employees. Also is n't it strange that employee id not specified and not asked to be specified in application causes a individual to re-submit TPT application again?
            3. This complaint has been noted by a Manager for Customer Care as promised to me during the Escalation call I had. The complaint department lady I spoke to purposefully disconnected my call and I find this most strange occurrence one could experience for a serious problem experienced.

            Dear HDFC Bank, please please understand the severity of issue and beg you to fix this asap. This is a desperately urgent problem.

              Dear Chairperson, I am Rehan Danish Khan, employee number 71404. I have been serving with HDFC Bank in New Delhi since Sep 09. I was given appointment letter by the bank on 16 Oct 09, and therafter transferred from parent branch to another branch within three months. My salary has not been initiated till date and the bank is asking me to resign forthwith. Please help.

                  I Mrs.Flavia Sabastian was working in Symantec Software company Aundh IT Park, but I left the organization on 5th Nov 2009 till that date So for that reason I have not received any credit card bill in my office. I also called Symantec Company to inquire about my bill but they said they have not received any bill. Then I joined new company Mphasis but I was under training period for 2 months in Kharadi, as I had my working regular in Magarpatta so they didn't provided exact address so didn't changed the address of my credit card billing, then I was shifted to Magarpatta after that I was out of town for 2 weeks, so my husband tried calling them to change the address and get the information as well but they refuse to disclose any details stating that the Credit card holder needs to call us. Ram Tawre (Executive) from IDBI Bank called us to inform that my credit card payment is over due, so then I called H.D.F.C Credit card customer care to ask about my payment over due as they provided me the information and the amount, so told them we have paid the amount . They agreed for it. So kindly request you to please process my Home Loan.

                    I went to vodaphone office today to pay my bills and came out of your office very dis heartened and disatisfied with your Employees attitude towards coustomer handling as you aware or service industry.
                    He did not answer me properly and talk to me rudely and totaly ignored me.
                    As a costomer of your company since last two & half years i did'nt expected it.
                    In my office we having over 30 connections of your company and persons that you had empoyed are giving bad name to your company as well as your services.

                      respected sir,
                      i hold an add-on credit account, the original account being my husband's four year old account. last payment got delayed by almost a month after the due date.i started receivng calls daily for five to six days from the credit cards division office ,palarivattom, kochi, kerala, reminding me about the dues.in spite of expressing my difficulty to arrange an immediate payment and requesting an extension of the due date the phone calls never ceased to come several times dailyand finally the person who kept calling me informed me that the recovery was being handed over to agencies.the next day i received calls from a male agent mr.manoj whose dialect and attittude was abusive, foul, and bullying.but these calls came from the same landline number as the previous days' calls.(from hdfc credit crads office, palarivattom.) i am very much disturbed by this method of recovery of dues adopted by a bank like the hdfc. we have had a long term of banking relationship with hdfc. did we choose the wrong people to bank with?

                          BE AWARE of hidden charges of HDFC bank credit card. The co. will send a message that GET MY CITY card and no surcharge on fuel charges but they will not inform you about the charges and when you receive the monthly statements surcharges are added.
                          Bank should give complete details instead of cheating customers through leavying hidden charges.

                            My card number is [protected].

                            I did a shopping on 13th Feb and that time called HDFC credit cards.
                            I got the update that my account has been upgraded to platinum plus from Gold and a new card will be dispached very soon.

                            Note this talk happened on 13th Feb 2010.

                            During the call I was told that once I receive my new card, I have to call to HDFC for activation of new card and deactivate my old card (GOLD).

                            Then on next day I was booking rail and Air ticket as well but the transaction was declined due to GOLD card block. (This was not informed me). Then I called HDFC asking about the transaction and updated that my card was blocked.

                            I lost my journey ticket due to this. Then I kept calling HDFC for this issue and was following up with Aayasha Sayyad she commetted to call me back on thursday, no call received from her.

                            Since then I am trying to catch either Aayasha or her supervisor Mr. Vinod Hiremath but no response from both of them.

                            I am very very regular payment payer even I make prepayments.

                            This is very pathetic and custumer harrashing service from HDFC bank.

                            I want to discuss this with Vinod's supervisor on this issue.

                            HDFC bank Credit card recovery department is most notorious in the country.

                            That is the reason they can show very low Non Performing Assets because they never write off any of the settlements done with the customers.
                            They did the same with me for one year. I took the matter with ombudsman, using all the emails that i had sent for one year, the settlement letter scanned copy and the proof of payment that i had done. Now i have received the zero balance confirmation and the write off in cibil.

                            They try to get you into accepting expired settlement letter after which you have no rights. Make sure you make the payment within the written time frame of the settlement letter at all cost

                            *they sent harassing recovery agents on 'behalf of HDFC Credit card'
                            *the agent wanted me to make part payments rather than asking for settlement letter
                            *they tried to make me accept the expired settlement letter.
                            *they did not honour their written commitment made via their settlement letter for writting off the dues.
                            *they kept on refusing on emails and kept asking for more money for writing off in cibil records.
                            * I took up the issue with their "Nodal officer" as well but to no use.
                            *finally i took all the mails to the ombudsman and got the issue resolved.
                            *Till date HDFC credit card department holds that everything that was done is in accordance with bank policies. (only God knows how many inhumane policies do they have in their kitty)
                            *they have wasted my whole one year in followups, mental harrasment, and botheration.

                            Stay away from HDFC bank for all reasons.

                              This is my e-mail which I have sent to all the people related to HDFC Bank and V Customer Employee:

                              To whom it may concern

                              I am writing this as "To whom it may concern" as HDFC has been acting as if they are not concerned at all about my problem. TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MY PROBLEM PLEASE SEE THE E-MAIL BELOW WHICH I HAD SENT ON 4TH FEB 2010 AND OTHER AROUND 8-10 E-MAILS AND HUNDREDS OF CALLS MADE.

                              Anyway now this is the case since 2-3 months I have been fighting with HDFC to reduce my policy premium from 2400/- to 1000/- AS PROMISED by the issuing manager during the time of the issue. But when I visited the office of HDFC Standard Life in Sec-63 and called thecustomer care several times they told me that this cannot be done until 3 years of issuing. And I was misinformed.

                              I am writing down my grief in points below so that you can understand better:

                              1. My policy was issued by Ms Vibha Rai from New Friends Colony, in July 2009.
                              2. I was promised that the first premium has to be 2400/- and thereafter I can pay AS MUCH AS I CAN as premium as I will receive a call every month before deduction of my premium (WHICH I NEVER DID).
                              3. Then when I called back the issuing agents to confirm this they said that yes it is possible.
                              4. When I received the welcome call from HDFC and they told me the T&C I confirmed from that person as well, he said NO it is not possible, and you will have to pay first 6 installments as 2400/- and then you can reduce it, I CLEARLY TOLD HIM THAT I DO NOT WANT SUCH POLICY AND PLEASE ARRANGE TO RETURN BACK THE DOCUMENTS, so he told me that he will arrange a call back within 24 hours, which never came.
                              5. I waited for 6 months to complete and then I went to HDFC office to reduce my premium amount but to my surprise they told me that it cannot be done for 3 years.
                              6. I suspected something was wrong, I went back and checked the documents closely and saw that there were COUNTERFEIT signatures of me on the documents, which were done because I was not made aware of the policy facts.
                              7. Now now one is looking into the matter since 2 months, so as grieved about my situation as I am as no one is bothered about the situation, I have decided to go the other way around.

                              I owe HDFC 54,000/- as a Personal Loan and around 14,000/- as Credit Card balance which are linked to my account. I decided not to pay the HDFC loan premium unless they clear off the matter and since 10 days when I have not made the payment and told the collections agent the reason why, I have been receiving calls from HDFC to solve my problem, please visit this office please visit that office, and HDFC Loan division does not care about what policy you have and it is not their concern.

                              Well reason for my grief is HDFC I do not care what division, for a customer HDFC is same and until the day I was paying my loan premium on time no body cared about my problem but I do not pay 1 installment and I get 7 calls in 10 days telling the solution of my problem. Well, I am not going to visit any HDFC office and am not making any call to any HDFC agent/employee or customer care, because I did that already many times.

                              Well here is a dialogue which one of HDFC's representative said "HDFC will not run for your problem, you will have to run for your problem" well then who so ever is concerned about this problem should know that I'm not going to run for this problem any more even if I get threats from 3rd party collection or a court notice, because I have proof of CHEATING by an HDFC employee and I want SOLUTION for that, I have been grieved since 8 months and no body cares, all HDFC cares about is their money and nothing about the customer, well if HDFC is big today it is only because of customer they have. So first make customer satisfied with the services and then ask for something from them.

                              Well I have been mentally harassed and grieved because no one even cares about my problem and I am sick and tired of dealing with phone calls that only promise me another date or another "will try to find the solution" things. So please I am giving you a solution, RETURN MY 14,400/- which I paid as premium and I will pay off my loan and credit card otherwise I am ready to go to the consumer court and wait for them to find a solution, and until then I am not dealing with HDFC bank in any way.

                              And if you at all are worried about your customer then I should receive my 14,400/- in my bank account and not another call promising me that "we will find a solution shortly", I am an 8 year old HDFC customer and will QUIT HDFC bank if this issue is not resolved with immediate effect.

                                I want to make complain against HDFC CREDIT CARD collection dept.i am carrying a card no.[protected],the limit of this card is overdue,but every month i am paying them the interest on that amount which comes around 2100/- but this month i am not able to pay the said amount,so they are saying ki if don't pay the amount we will send a executive at your relatives place,the address which i never mentioned anywhere.& every month before making a call to me they always make a call to my parents.which i think not a way to get the things done.They actually shout on phone there is no professionalism in these people & the manager of these executive also don't have any manner to how to talk they use rough language & say "hum kaun sa 50000 bugs mang rahe hain" "itne din se kya kar rahe ho".& also saying "if something happens then don't blame us"
                                The name of the executive is Reshma & her manager name is Prakash.
                                & No. from which they are making call are[protected] &[protected].

                                I want to take some necessary action against these people.

                                I am CREDIT CARD([protected]) holder of your bank,as my account is already overdue,every month i am paying the minimum amount due i.e 2100/-

                                at the end of next month.I was trying to arrange for that amount but somehow won't be able.

                                  Dear Sir/ Madam,
                                  I am a existing personal loan holder of HDFC Bank. I had taken one topup priviously on my existing personal loan and the process done smoothly without any dispute. but when I applied for second topup after 9 months they came to me to collect the papers but up to the last moment they never discloused the amount they are giving me as a topup. whenever I asked about it they told me that it is not finalized yet..they signed all the agreements without disclosing the tenure and amount. Since i need money very badly i thought that everything will be fine and signed all papers.
                                  Before this i told them that don't change my tenure which is 60 months. but they changed my tenure from 60 months to 48 months because of that my EMI increased by RS 1000/- per month. After that I told them that it is wrong tenure that you had given me but now they are not intertening in this matter. they had given me 19000 check as a topup amout which is not yet encashed still they are asking for the new EM.I. I requested that i am not able to pay this much amout please reshedule my loan tenure or cancell it if it is not possible. they promissed me to do the needfull. but not doing anything. their recovery agents calling me again and again and harassing me.

                                    Hello,
                                    When I logged in to my HDFC netbanking account today, I got a promotional offer stating that petrol surcharges on all petrol stations will be free (there was a * above it with Terms and Conditional apply).

                                    I clicked on the link provided hoping to read the Terms and conditions.
                                    But the next screen I see is below:
                                    "
                                    The MyCity Petrol & Utility Benefits will be loaded on to your credit card in 15 working days and Rs.198 will be debited from your card account for this service.
                                    "

                                    It did not even ask for a confirmation.

                                    When I contacted the customer care, I am told that I need to submit a written letter asking for cancellation.
                                    Why should the facility be activated without asking for confirmation? And why should I run for a HDFC ATM where as it took me only one click to get this activated.

                                      I have received an unsatisfactory response to my complaint regarding Anand Lok branch. Rather than apologizing for the behaviour of bank guard and bank staff Anchal Sharma, the manager rang up to justify their behaviour.
                                      I had gone to drop a cheque when the guard prevented me from parking and passed insulting comments along with another guard standing nearby.On top of that, while I was filling the pay-in slip the bank staff named above, opened the door of ATM AND STARTED SHOUTING, SAYING THAT THE SPACE IN FRONT OF THE BANK IS RESERVED FOR BANK MANAGER. I asked her to show allotment/lease deed for footpath, she couldn't. How can bank staff block public roads and then shout at a customer
                                      As a customer of the bank, I got shouted and insulted by two bank employees. My fault? I had gone to drop a cheque.

                                        Hi,

                                        I was contacted by HDFC bank that on application of platinum plus credit card, I will be eligible to get a VIP Alfa traveling bag once I swipe the credit card.

                                        A separate form was also got signed in which this clause was mentioned. However, after swiping my card, I have received a cheep bag which has no connection with VIP.

                                        Please take this issue seriously it is also affecting VIP brand loyalty.

                                        Requesting autorities to take some immediate action on same.
