I am an executive working with MNC. I had taken a home loan from HDFC in November 2005. The rate of interest applicable then was 7.5 %. I was told that this interest rate is special for my company and less than what other customers and banks were charging. Later on HDFC kept on revising based on RBI rate which is acceptable. But, the revision has now lead to a situation where the ineterst rate, which is 11.75%, from HDFC is 2 - 2.25 % above other banks public sector banks. When I checked with bank they told, they are not directly coming under RBI. Then why they responded to previous hikes from RBI?? Only they do not know, how to reduce. Very bad!!! So guys when ever you take any loans, take from good public sector banks.

I now feel trapped with HDFC as they are charging very high rate as compared to market. There should be some action against them from RBI.

HDFC — Interest rates

Normally Home Loans with floating rate of interest are to charged with the current rate of interest only. But in case of HDFC, whenever there is any increase in interest rate, it applies to the existing Home Loans as well as to the new disbursements. But in case there is any decrease in interest rates, it applies it to the new Home Loan disbursements only and the existing Home Loans are being charged with increased rates. A clarification is required in this respect. Kindly also let me know the regulatory authority who regulates the Home Loans.

Dear Sir,
Had taken a housing loan of Rs 1063000 at Floating Rate of Interest from your Bank in 2006 at an interest rate of 9.5 %.( Loan Account Number LBNOD[protected].
On April 10, 2007 the rate was revised and the period readjusted as per existing FRR/PLR.

I fail to understand when your bank is lending from past many months new loans for floating rate at 10.50%-11%. Why, I am being charged 12% rate of interest?

On contacting your customer care helpline number months back was told to me that I can get the same corrected at the branch with refund and adjustment of excess amount. On contacting your branch at Andheri-Mumbai no such help was rendered to me.

Kindly let me know in mail the process of getting this correction done or getting the same corrected from the time the interest has been wrongly charged in excess. Else, I am sincerely considering the option of switching my loan and all transactions to other bank.
Such type of behavior of second biggest Bank in the country with customers like us I s making our belief of trust in you lost.

Hope you all take this mail seriously as this is my last effort to bring the anomaly for correction to your notice.

ICICI Bank is one of the worst bank to deal with whether its bank accounts, home loan, Credit Cards, or some other products. I really have never heard ICICI bank reducing interest rates from last 4/5 years. RBI should strictly look into this matter and save customers of ICICI bank. I started my home loan in 2003 @8.00 and now ICICI bank is looting me with interest rate @14.00. When you contact them they have standard answers like you have opted for floating rate and PLR is taken into consideration which is as per government and RBI rules. God please help ICICI Customers.
ICICI is the worst to approach for the loan. They do very fast processing of the applications especially loans. One have to understand that the Public Sector banks follows all the Government norms etc, so the processing time might be higher. But it is worth waiting for that rather than screwed up and keep paying for the unethical banks the excess amounts for years.

You guys think RBI don't know this. It will never act. It is always on the Industry side not with common citizens.

The only way we can do is stop all the transactions with ICICI and spread with your friends. If ICICI collapses may be few thousands may loose jobs, but at least lakhs of people will save lots of money and other banks will learn for not following the basic business ethics.

Remember ICICI is the second bank with highest Home loans, so without issuing new home loans, it can still make profits with existing customers for long time. Because the loans are for not less than 10 yrs.
I have take HDFC Loan @ 14.5% interest rate since 1999 and they have charged interest rate @ 15% since then. Now also they are charging me interest rate of 15% where as actual market rate of interest is arount 10%. They are list bothered to RBI rules & Regulations.

my situation resembles to yours. i too am struggling to get out of this. by now i guess your rate of interest is 13.25% but i have been advised that there arent any prepayment/preclosure charges on the loan.

the guys in the regional deptt are not capable or authorised to help the clients by any way or means. i also wrote to the mumbai corp office through the email vide there website. i got a very weird and senseless reply simply stating that my rates have changed as per the RBI guildlines.

i am still working out a way.

Ya its right that comparison to nationalised bank HDFC interest rate is high. HDFC coming under NHB guidelines. Nationalised bank get packages from Government. So they have lower interest rate. Nationalised bank have more defaulters too.

Mr. Vijay, Do you know how much NPAs in private banks and to cover that why the end-up looting the existing ones. Pls go and read their Q'results statement.

Mind you, Govt. banks follow very very strict norms in giving loans and that's where many o[censored]s goes to private banks not because we approach them for bad properties but succumbed pressure from the seller when the market is up for quick disbursal etc.

If anybody undergone such interest rate cheating from non-controllable-private-banks, they will never ever go to them. Another adv. with PSU is, most of them do thorough paper check compare to pvt.

Even when the default occurs, bank won't loose much (unless given to some thugs/politicians on illegal land/properties)

e.g. for a say 23L property, i have already paid 8L in EMI and 4L as down payment. so in effect 12L in 30months AND need to pay still 16.5 to them. But they provide "" as a service e.g. by not sending "Repayment schedule" when there is pre-payment etc. and ask Rs.300 for that!.

guess what even if i default, bank can auction the property (which is 35+L on today market value) and get a hell lot of money.

so pls pls be "sensible" and don't pass arrogance comments across the HDFC screwed user voice/posts.
I agree that ICICI Bank is one of the worst bank to deal with customers of home loan. At First, it lured the customers towards its lower rate of interest but soon after it lost the faith of the customers on the pave of the interest rate, at which the other banks cared the welfare of their customers. RBI-India should look into such matter and compel such banks to follow the rules and regulations strictly to save the customers from the senseless policies of such banks

Dear Sir,
I took a loan of 127500/- for 10 years on 02/07 with 9.25% interest floating.LIC has given me only 2 opetions, floating and fix.Hence selected flating so that LIC will reduce as per their plan.
After that every 3 months they have increased the interest up tp 12.5% and now they have reduced to 11.25%.
However for new coustomers they are giving floating interest as 9.50% when I asked for me to give the same interest.but not given.
My question is, how LIC has double standard for floating interst which was not clared to me at the time of taking loan???

There is no value for a regular coustmer who is paying regularly instalments with high interest??
Where we should ask for legal help for injustice ? shall we accept anything that LIC does?
HDFC won't reduce interest rate. Better to go with PSU bank.

I made biggest financial mistake by taking loan from HDFC.
Currently they are offering 9.75% and completely avoiding existing customers. Dear new customers, once you taken the loan, you will be in the same situation like us. Better go with any public sector bank. They service may not be hi-tech. But they won't suck your blood like HDFC and ICICI.

Anyway SBI is far better than HDFC. I'm a victim of HDFC home loan. I've taken loan for 7.5% in 2005. My friends took from SBI same time. Now they are paying 10.25% and I'm paying 11.75%. Difference of 1.5%. So dear customer you can judge, who is better. My decision to take homeloan was biggest financial mistake.
Even after complaining lot of times, HDFC is still charging me 11.75%. They are blood suckers. Don't approach them for any loans. Their MD makes a statement that cost of funds have come down for giving loans at 9.75 for new customers.

Somehow, the cost of funds don't come down for existing customers.

Customer complaints have forced Mr Parekh to make such statements. But he is not ready to bring down rates for old customers.
Now SBI is offering car loan for 10%. And I'm paying 11.75% for housing loan from HDFC. What a pity!!

Public sector bank car loan interest is much less than HDFC housing loan!!

This is wake up call. It is better to do some papar work and stand in Q in PSU bank rather than repenting afterwords.

It's true and as a NRI I had done the same mistake of taking loans from HDFC; as a result end up paying huge interest and despite all RBI regulations they don't seem to budge a bit. It's a shame on the part of Indian to see a fellow indian looting a son of soil at the pretext of bankers. Even when we pay the EMI in time also they dont seem to credit the amount in time and as a result I end of paying penalties many times.

I am being charged @ 11.5% by HDFC while new customers are being offered @ 9.75%. They have changed the meaning of floating rate of ineterst. They increase the rates when RBI increases rates but do not decrease even after so many rate cuts.

I was thinking of balance transfer to SBI. Now HDFC has increased BT fess from 2% to 3%. All the customers at HDFC are unable to transfer thier loans now. We are paying 3 to 6 % higher rate of interest to HDFC than any other bank.

Government should do something in this direction. The Bank must be penalised for this.

I also had taken a 20 year floating home loan from them at a rate of 9% in June 2006. It had gone up periodically till 12.25 and now came down to 11.75.
At the same time, I know that the same company is selling loans currently at the rate of 9.75, for the same (less than 20 Lakhs) tenure.
I am not sure who can force the company to stop this double standard and fleecing the existing customers?

For the last one year I am raising this issue but unfortunately due to its heavy financial impact on the exiting undue profit making
and monopolistic activities no private banker has come to resolve the matter including the officials of the RBI . But it is indirect invasion on the innocent pockets of effected people of the country and RBI is also not doing its due role . If there are no existing system/laws/policies framed by the legislature then RBI should do the advisory role to get these amended so that parity may come between public and private sector banks and innocent citizens of the country may not be effected by the shaukari system of private bankers.

Since matter was pending with with me for PIL u/s 32 of the constitution of India as law student to rise the monopolistic /biased /one sided activities of all the private banks as compared with public sector banks of the country resulting in grabbing of huge money of innocent and uneducated /unawared people of the nation and its ramification of very wide nature on the economic system/position of the people. Recently public banks are offering home loan at the rate of 8% as against the 11 % by private banker and case to case biased policies .

Thus to be in brief do reply within 48 hours why this public interest issue should not be raised in the Supreme court of India as per the legal system of the country as a law student, by myself.

Same case, I had taken loan from DHFL, that time the market intrest rate was 8.5 % or less, but they charged me 12.3 %, due to market change they have raised the intrest rate to 13.25 %, now all others are redused to 7.5 % to 8.5%, now they are continuing with 13.0% for old loans, which is a very high rate as compare to others

SGPGIMS — cheating in the name of alerts

I have been cheated of nearly Rs 300 in the last year on account o[censored]nwanted cricket alert or bhajan alerts etc. I get a message that Rs 30 is being deducted for alerts. In the end of the message fake numbers are given one is [protected] and one is 51234030.
I would like to register my complaints.
What can the customer do for such blatant cheatings?
Is there anybody who cares for customers in this system or you all are getting good kickbacks to make this cheating business part of your income plan.
What we need is RBI intervention to stop this discrimination between new customers and existing customers. Banks should charge only one set of interest rates for new and existing customers. This will force banks to reduce the rates. Now these banks like HDFC and ICICI has no pressure to reduce rates. They get new customers with low rates while charging existing customers with a higher rate. We need justice.

Be careful, before taking HDFC housing Loan, They have made me a fool they are not follow any RBI rules.
I would like to explain all things, I have taken a loan amount INR 6, 53, 000 @7.25%pa variable rate basis dated for 20 years dated on Nov 18, 2004, and when RBI has increased rate they charge me with the increased rate and when RBI reduced Interest rate they had not reduce my EMI, they told me that we will reduce your loan repayment period,

HDFC charges high rates, same is true with me. Thing is we can sue HDFC if they say they are not under RBI regulations.
Just go to consumer forum and register yourself. They will fight against HDFC bank and you will get all your money taken additional back. As floating rates are regulated based on RBI instructions.

Financial exploitation of existing home loanees by financial institution is certainly under the patronage of Ministry of Finance and RBI. Total indifference and apathy of RBI towards the issue indicates a strong possibility certain vested interests .

What is the terminal objective of financial policies of RBI, both in hardening and softening of rates? Dear Friend,

I would like to make you alert on few details regarding HDFC and other limited companies.

HDFC LTD is a limited company and is not a banking institute.
It is a self regulated financial organization and is not at all regulated as a refinancing institute or is not a Banking institute. Sales officers makes people fool by stating HDFC Home loan as part of banking division. Even interest rates charged by HDFC is very high which is increased in subsequent years.

As such rates of interests for home loan are definitely regulated by RBI but limited and private companies do not fall under their per-view. These companies fall under company Act and not under Banking Act.

At time of taking loan these companies promises low rates of interest and then increases rates of interest in subsequent years, which increases your burden of repayment in form of slow poison eating your lots of money.

I will share my personal experience:

I have a very bad experience with HDFC, My loan of 11 lac with tenure was only 20 years and was promised with 3% discounted rates for my loan account as the company with which I was working was a corporate client of HDFC, so my loan started at 7.25% rate of interest and a low EMI of 8595/- Rs only.

In later stages HDFC revised rates of interest stating that my loan is on floating rates, where as no discounted rates are applied to my account. More on no reduction in rates are done at all even when rates of interest of other banks and institutes fall down. Even when they offer low interest rates to new customers – on my inquiry they asked for a proceeding fees of almost 12 thousand rupees to revise the rates of interest.
My EMI is also revised to 10, 526/- Rs and the tenure is now increased. Today even after paying EMI for more then 6 years my tenure of repayment is more then 18 years and EMI is increased from 8695/- Rs per month to 10526/- Rs per month. So I will end up paying money to HDFC for more then 24 years.

So I will end up paying four additional years with new EMI to HDFC which will make me a loss of almost 10-12 lac rupees.

HDFC is offering new customer 8.25 rates of interest where as even when I am a old customer with corporate tie up with the company – I am charged almost 11% rates of interest and I am screwed up by paying more EMI.

I have started legal proceedings against HDFC – and warn you all that dont take loan from HDFC other wise your people will also end up in soup and will have to pay huge for small things.

REQUEST YOU ALL TO TAKE LOANS ONLY FROM BANKING INSTITUTES AND NOT FROM ANY LTD COMPANY--
Ask following questions at time of taking loan.

1.Is the company having word “Bank” in its name.
2.If the company is refinancing company - take in written that – rates of interest in the company will be regulated as per RBI norms.
3.Only those people whose files are not getting approved from banks and documents are not clear enough and are in need of loan should opt for such institutes, but mind it these ltd companies slowly increases rates of interest and eats away your lots of money charging high rates of interest.

PLEASE NOTE – HDFC is a limited company and not a BANK. Only banking institutes or company with word “Bank” in its name are regulated by RBI.
Before signing any document of ltd company please read the terms and conditions completely and take a lawyers advise if needed before going ahead to sign the same.

Please disseminate this information to all your friends and relatives so that they are not cheated by any private company in case of loans / home loans.

Hi Guys!

This is the incomplete information which publisher has put in this article. Please do not be under impression that SBI is lending home loan with lowest rate. This is another fraudulent bank which gives you loan under their "Happy Home Floating Scheme" saying that for 1st year the interest rate will be deducted at 8.0% and for rest 2nd, 3rd and 4th years it will be deducted at the rate of 9.25 % but this is all Fake, The SBI will definately give you 8.0% interest rate in 1st year but as soon as you enter in second year the Rate of interest will start rising and by the end of few months it will rise upto 11.75 - 12.0% and you will be under impression that you are availing the previledge of the Home Loan scheme. I AM ONE OF THE VICTIM OF THE FALSE PROMISES MADE BY SBI. You should regularly check the interest rate as they might be changing anytime.
EFFECT: Due to higher interest rate, your principal amount will reduce very slowly as you are paying 80-90% of your EMI as an interest every month due to which your payment tenure gets extended or you get burden of paying higher interests on your principal. And in last phase of your Home Loan tenure you land up paying higher amount to foreclose your home loan as soon as possible.

If you find this fraudulent practice in 2-3rd year of your loan tenure then after repeated complaints and applications there will be No action taken by SBI for correction of the interest rates. They will say that this is the mistake of SERVER DEPT, this is to be corrected by back office, and we will get it done soon...bla bla bla... All rubbish.

In the above table: EMI paid every month regularly as 14872.00 and SBI is charging every month higher and higher interest rate and deducting interest of 12955.00 which is aprox 13000 out of 14872. Now you can see that principal is getting deducted only 1872.00 which are less than 15%.

Conclusion: Out of EMI which you are paying with your hard earned money SBI is charging more than 85% as interest charges and rest less than 15% as principal repayment from your loan amount.

Term Debit card ADJ 23-12-15

Hi,
I would like to know why what is the meaning of the charge[protected] TERM DEBIT CARD ADJ 20-12-15 that has been debited from my savings account on 2 days almost back to back.The amount that has been debited from my HDFC account is 11.45.

Also please suggest what is the minimum balance to maintain in savings account.

    I Wasim Botke applied for Net Banking IPIN Number. HDFC BANK has dispatched the courier on 16th October 2007 through Pafex Courier vide Airway Bill No.[protected]. After 4 to 5 days I have enquired reg my courier to Pafex Courier (Andheri Branch) they have replied me that we have returned your courier to HDFC BANK (Chandivali Branch) becuase our company did not have service to your postal address.
    Please note I am residing in Nallasopara (west) Pin Code No.401203 (Dist - Thane, Taluka Vasai).

      The agencies of HDFC Bank approached for extending the facility of Overdraft and during the initial briefing I was told that there would not be any additional expenses other than the interest for the amount and period the OD is used. But to my surprise from the date of the facility adhoc amount was put as liable amount and from then on by interest and fine, the statement shown by the bank shows me as if I am liable of rs.5000/-.
      In the mean time in January'2008, I visited HDFC Bank office at raniganj LG building) and met the bank official Mr. Umesh who adviced me to Pay around 450 rs for the expenses incurred by the bank so that the issue can be settled. though not convinced, I paid the amount and destroyed the cheque book and the card given by the bank in front of the officer.
      But the problem is I still get calls to clear Rs. 5000/ from the agencies fixed by the bank. claim of Rs. 5000/ by not giving even a single paise is a horrible thing to happen that to from a reputed bank as advertised by the bank.
      Such harrasment should stop immediately not only to me but to all other similar cases.

        I am very sorry to say about the HDFC bank(Not bank)representative. one mr.Saravanan he is working with Annanagar 5th avenue branch. he got all details and 1 lakhs Rupees cheque from me on 24.11.2008 my cheque credited on 27.11.2008. till date i didnot received any account number anything. also there is no response from above person. i tried is mob no also, there is no response. please do the need ful and avoid these people to make safe our bank

        HDFC Bank — Cheating the customer by collecting cheque bounce

        Respected Sir,

        Two Wheeler Loan no 12685334

        I got a two wheeler loan from HDFC bank and the EMI is Rs. 2240/- and I have paid the EMI regularly. Unfortunately a person from bank called me to pay bouncing charge of Rs. 450/- . I checked my bank statement account in SBI no [protected].
        The ECS of loan is deducting from my account regularly every month.

        So, I request you to take serious action against the bank and do the needful.

        I have been dealing with hdfc bank for a fairly long time now, for the first time I have been very frustated with the lack of supprot fromthe concerned dept.
        for the past many weeks I have been trying to go for settlemnt of my credit card, few weeks back I recieved a call fromthe person (Niharika Chaudhari), working in rajourio garden, ansal tower 5th floor, hdfc branch, handling my credit card(collection dept.), asking me to make the payment.I told her that I want to go for settlement, and then she decided to do the settlemnt in 27000, in total.and she asked me to make a payment of 4800, immediately and for the rest of the amount she will send the settlemnt letter.Imade the payment but still they went ahead and put a hold on 47000 from my saving a/c.When I came to know about it I called them, I spoke with Anuj Chaudhari(Team Leader, Hardeep Singh(Manager)Aman (Associate), and thet told me that the fund will be released by monday(7th of dec)and send the settlement letter to my place and make the payment.But when I checked it wasnt released, and no on ecame with the settlement letter, since then I have been calling them but no one picks the call, if they picks also, everytime thay say that the concerned person is not available, and tells me to call the next day, which I have been doin with no result.Being a cust. I am not running away to pay the amount, but I feel there shouldnt be a problem like this ignoring a cust. and not helping .

        It really pains to pen down this letter, its really pathetic to know that HDFC BANK have such a system where in their guys dont even have a morale where in your customers have to suffer.

        I was issued a credit card from your BANK Credit card Details : CARD No. [protected]
        : Validity from - to date. feb-08

        I had made a settlement of this credit card on DATE[protected]. And i was being told by your location head Mr. Lokesh that i would recieve my settlement letter in 90days.
        In between i got a call in between this time, and the language was ABUSIVE. I dont understand how come you are not even concerned about the customers and their month's planning.
        Inspite of informing them about my settlement, they were constantly giving me BAD WORDS. Is this your system? I havent got my salary for the month of December and you have leaned my account for no reasons?

        I am not threatening you, but giving you 4 days time. Kindly clear my due amount from the balance, after 4 days i will have no option left other than going to media and to consumer protection. Its not a threat but its a plea of a customer who is badly affected with your USELESS system.

        And the another thing i would like to add is after making so many calls & mailed to HDFC bank customer service department they had given me a number of their officer when i called on the same number where i got the answer from their respective debt management officer named sanjay mishra was " do what you wish to do now you have to do what we say ha ha ha..."

        This is for your information, This is the complaint against Mr Neeraj naidu, head of recovery dept, secunderabad.
        As i bought one two wheeler and taken loan from HDFC BANK.only for one cheque bounce the veichle is Seized by recovery people.when i was not in the hyderabad, i was in bangalore, they took the veichle form my friend forcely.as i went to the bank and spoke to Mr Neeraj naidu from HDFC BANK ( RANIGUNJ, SECUNDERABAD)i just wait for two hour in the office, and finally he spoke to me and his asistant also spoke to me and given the details. and he dint infromed me about to sell my veichle from day one, . finally he sold my veichle for 12000/- which i am getting 34, 000/- from out side, without informing me, he sold my veichle with in week days, and the people from recovery Dept couried the notice to my old address, where i am not staying there, till now i dont know who received the notice.

          i was some query, so i called to customer care no[protected]
          the person recived my phone(date-1-Dec-2008 time-12:40 AM) is macking fool to me. i am tring to tell him problem & and my problem is ver simple(how much charges u r appling for valu plus credit card), but he was not listning my prob. and just telling me that call at morning.so why are they bludy telling that our customer service is 24*7.

          centurion bank pin no cover — not received

          on my centurion bank atm card oin no cover is posted on 05/07/2008.but i am not received till today.it is very urgent.
          i hav applied fr a personal loan, , the person to whm i hav submit my documnt said that i wil take only 4 or 5 days .           I call from australia and try to find out where are my funds(Tranferred money to HDFC accnt from sydney).

          After 2 weeks they still dont have answer and when they canot answer my question they just hang up on you. Everytime in a email i send the receipt of fund transfer and in reply they ask me to send the receipt. I want to ask how dump you can get????

          Then I have to copy paste the whole attachment on the email then they said after 2 weeks we will get back to you and GUESS what I canot send email to them anymore i think they block me now.

          what a joke. I think everyone should close there account with them and open with some foreign bank thet might help. less people there and quick servise and they have selection procedure but in hdfc anyone can get a job only thing they have to do is hang up on you because they know they dont have tot tlak to you again.

          Here is my querry for your kind information and record if you can do some thing please hlep me otherwise I have lost my trust on HDFC Bank, being a prefered customer these type of things we are facing.

          However, this payment has been made twice thru net banking, since one payment i.e. 1620/- BSES is already been settled and balance one transaction i.e. 1620/- they kept in suspense account and saying that when HDFC Bank will confirm that these transaction has been made twice thru this card in writing, we will adjust this amount in your next billing cycle.

          Please look into this matter and do the needful.

          Hi,

          I have got some issue with the transaction.

          I have an a/c in Airport road bangalore.

          I had done a transaction of Rs 2000/- on 1st od Aug from an ICICI ATM howeverthe transaction was denied. I could later realise that my a/c was debited for the same amount. In lieu of this I trie reaching the customer care for HDFC.

          It was so damn irritating to know that they dont have anyone to attend to our queries an neither nor do they have a common number to talk on. I got so pissed off and since today morning(3rd Aug) 8 am have been trying har to reach but realising that I am just nt able to contact anyone for my complaints.


          The phone baking number takes through lot of questionnaire options to dial but doesnot even have a satisfactory query solved.

          I am really frusrated the way this bank works. It says that they provie 24*7 customer service which just seems to be a big BULL .
          Really sorry to use such fowl language but really pathetic to know the way this bank provies the customer service.

          Can you actually do something an will I get y money back in the a/c???????

          i have applied for DMat Ac. Two months back. I am yet to receive Trading and Passward Nos.
          Hi all,
          This is regarding the worst customer service I have ever faced in my life. This is HDFC customer care. If you go for any query they do even have the patience to hear you. Today morning I called the customer care. One lady picked the phone. As I told her the problem he just told I am tranfering your call menu and you enter your id and phone number and she transfered the call. But she forgot that I entering the id and phone number only I can enter into the talk. Quite often when I call the customer care they behave in a very rude manner. Like we are here in the office to enjoy and time pass, not to pick you phone.


          I have one ICICI bank a/c. The customer care is very good. Any time they ask you, May I help you in any other matter madam like this. Actually I feel they have the real care for the customer.
          I am with HDFC since last 4 months. But I am fed up with this bank.

          If the customer care is like this then what about the bank. They feel they are doing any favour for us. Once the faith of the customer is gone from the bank. It will be at no where.

          I think if this trend continues soon it will be at no where.

          Like me many of my friends are now going to stop our account soon.

          All banks are cheating customers indirectly. Bank should think that they are running business with Customers Money and Interest. Without Customer's money - Bank will a BLANK. if all customers close account from HDFC bank - what the bank will do? so the Bank should think this cause.
          I request all customers please go with Government sector banks and NOT TO PRIVATE BANKS.

          HDFC Customer care latterly disappointing me since last 1 week due to some small querry everytime they are making wrong commitment. Some times they asking send us your querry thru fax, some times they asked to drop your querry in drop box.

          what the hell all this things and I continually call to my had branch G.K.2, 3, new delhi but there is no response to my phone call. How mean by this? It’s your hdfc customer services?

          I want to bring your attention i am very panic because of not attending telephone of your Dehradun Rajpur road branch.I have complained regarding the concern branch head.Today also i am trying this number but getting no response.I am very confuse that why you have given these numbers for contact?           You are running a most reputed bank but what should say this type of behaviour happened with me ?

          Please dont go with HDFC account, it does not provide any support for failure transaction, I made a transaction of 5000, i had only 5000rs in my account and it was very neccessary on that day, and the transaction got failed and amount got debited from my account, when i called to customer support on day 1 evening, after the failure transaction i was said that complaint section only works from mrng 8 to evening 8, always they say we will forward the call to complaint section and my call got diconnected, just i lost my currency time was 6.20pm, am 5000 was very imp since i had to give to some one, day 2 morng when i called customer support i was said that it takes 12 working days, am i responsible for FAILURE transaction.. i have decided that i will close the account and switch to another Bank, please suggest me... which bank is good...
          Hi, I am facing problem with your courier service provider in new delhi.I asked him twice or thrice to come in the morning or till 10 am in the morning as I am working but he refused to deliver it at that time, On the top of dat neither ur customer service provider is providing any help in this matter .Now, the result is dat he has send my net pin number back to HDFC chennai branch, i am rly frustated.

          I doubt there are few HDFC agents who misuse our information or accessed my a/c cause my a/c shows a debit of 5000rs when I called customer care back, they said that they don't know from where it got debited.HOW USELESS.
          On 9th DEC I called hdfc for unknown charge of 110Rs and the amount was reversed but then that very day again I had 5000rs debited.
          I am disappointed .It’s the third unknown charge and my card is not misused by anyone other than hdfc customer care.
          My Card is always safe and never got misplaced. I didn’t use my card nearby any December date. And there is no possible case of cloning my details from nowhere other than hdfc.
          On 9th DEC I had word with 5 customer care agents. I remember few names ADIVA, JASNIT, SANJIV KAPOOR.
          I want the reversal of my charges in any ways. They couldn’t tell me the location also. And I issued no cheques to anyone so no ways of mistake from my end.
          I want to hear soon from you guys. I want total justification and total reversal. We trusted the customer care. Please keep a check on people you hire.
          IT’S SO DISSAPPOINTING.

          I am unable to understand one thing that why they told us that we will help you at avery moment of time(when we applied for lone), but afterwards everything seems to finish from there end. They never take intrest in listning our problms at all. Even i call custumer care for the enquiry they just told me that call me in the next morning, or call on this-that number. I m very upset from their services.
          I made a huge mistake by taking personal lone from HDFC. Also the agent who gve me loane had not told me the full terms and condition about the payments.
          Try to avoid any services from this bank.
          I lost my Debit Card and blocked it on 14.12.10. I also applied for the same on that date. I asked the CC to post the debit card at my residence address but was told that it will be posted at my Office address. I told the authorities to post it at my HDFC Home Branch. But Channai Head Office post it at my office and it was returned. Again I lodged a complaint from Bhikaji-Cama Branch and told the authorities that my Debit Card should be posted at my nearest Branch i.e. Bhikaji Cama Branch. It was posted and I collect it from that branch. But my pin was not sent from Chennai. I again lodged a complaint .the request No. was DEL 333173, dt. 08.01.2011. While enquiring on 17.01.2011, I was told that it has been despatched at my Office Address. When I already told the authorities to post my PIN at Bhikaji Cama Branch, then why it has been sent at my Guargaon Office. Now you can judge, what type of CC services and what services are provided by HDFC to their customers. This is my problem that my salary account is in HDFC who is unable to provide even average services to the customers. I am very much unsatisfied with the services of HDFC authorities and more CC whose executives are rather hopeless/careless and are unable to satisfy the services.             My name is Rudra Pratap using Credit cards no: [protected] for past 3.5 years and I was happy with the existing card. I have been started getting calls for past 6 months regarding up gradation for gold cards. And I keep on saying not interested but finally they have sent and I have returned it back and said not interested. Even they have not left me out and blocked my online transaction. When I called up customer care they said please, accept gold cards or if you want your old cards back kindly, fill the form with the sign and submit to HDFC BANK. I said, why should I sign and fill the form as I have not applied for new card and how have you given gold card without any signature and form. Its blunders. Its mean tomorrow you will use my identity and deliver card to someone. Next day I got the call from recovery illegal department, if you will not pay 3000 amount then your name will be black listed in civil. I said
            My card is block how can I pay then they said let me check and never get back to me same way as with customer care till date. I have recorded every verbal communication in my cell. I am really get boiled. Let me tell you frankly I am not going to pay any single rupees as I am regular payable of HDFC, on time. If you will force me then I will send this recording to media.
            Note: important thing is how you can issue gold cards without my authentication

            Hi,

            I was having HDFC credit card and it was good. Suddenly with out informed me they have increased my interest rate, when I got my bill it was with new interest rate.
            I called HDFC customer care and asked the same thing but they told me that it has been increased for every one. Then I have told them to close this credit card as I don’t want to use but they never came back for closer. I stopped paying money to them and came to Bangalore after getting a new job.
            There was no communication between me and HDFC bank, after 6month they called my uncle number and did harassment to them. I didn’t know about this when my uncle called and told this story then I called HDFC customer care and provided my new cell number to do the settlement. But there was no response till 20 days then one day I got a mail from HDFC back that they are putting my name blacklist and filing a case against me. I call the number which was there in that HDFC mail, after a long conversation they asked to pay hefty amount for settlement and close this card. I agreed and paid them full amount 7 months back. But still my name is there in civil black list.
            So I request to HDFC bank to remove my name from black list of Civil as I have paid the full amount.

              HDFC bank is not reducing the interest rate, given that the interest rate has fallen now. When the rates were increasing, they had readily updated it but not now. When asked the response was that the PLR has not changed and it remains the same. As a layman we do not understand these terms and they easily give you many calculations to prove that the interest rate at present is correct. When contacted as a new customer for home loan they are ready to provide at a lesser interest rate of 11% whereas the existing customers rate is maintained at 12%
              Yes. I called up HDFC and all they said was rates are not reduced. Most of State run banks have got interest rates down to 9.5 while HDFC continues to charge 11.5%

              Yes I agree with you. HDFC is still charging 12.75% to me where as public sector bank is giving loan in 9% for 5 years. People should avoid this private bank. Treatment like layment bank only suit to them
              HDFC is the WORST BANK ever, they are fraud and cheating customers by acting to their own whims and fancies. This is my advice to all people: DO NOT TAKE HOME LOAN FROM HDFC.

                I took home loan from HDFC, they took 22, 000 for the insurance they never told about this when I asked for the loan but when i write email to customer care they are shouting on me how can i write an email without infroming them.

                I want to tell you one thing that when you fill the application form then please read details and fillup the option which you want. In this case you have must putted tick mark in HDFC Home Loan Protection plan. So the HDFC Ltd. staff has given Insurance. You can cancel it if you dont want and dont pay the insurance premium which they club in your Loan Emi.Just write a mail to HDFC Ltd. that you dont want to avail Home Protection plan.

                A forum is really needed in this connection to take the fight to HDFC and eventually to the banking ombudsman.

                    HDFC is a treacherous lending company.Their sales team will not tell all details regarding loan, but are eager to take processing fee quickly.Then they will start asking for un necessary documents and delay loan process.Before taking processing they will keep mum abou documents.

                    Their customer care and sales team is the worst among private sector bank.But their service charges and interest rates are very high.it is better to avoid hdfc

                    My experience has been really good with HDFC when it came to getting the loan disbursed. I think was lucky with the person who handled my case & even paid me my processing fees back but I agree banks when it comes to increasing ROI do it for new & old customers but when it comes to reducing ROI they do not reduce the same for Existing customers. I think people should join hands & file a PIL against this malpractice. Let me know if you guys are interested...

                    i applied for home loan for rs 2000000 but i insisted to take loan for rs 2100000 (one iac rupees for hdfc std insurance cover for property). i was not informed about the variation of rate of intrest at <2000000 &>2000000.. today i feel that i was cheated by hdfc team by 1.5% intrest .now i have only option either to transfer the loan to another bank or repayment any how, because it is clerly a cheating with a customer by not giving full details of home loan
                    These days so-called leading ICICI, HDFC etc. all loot from "existing" customer by all means. e.g. they too increased 1.5% and decreased by 0.5% and effectively increased by 1% in Dec.2008! when PSU's reduced to 9.75%.

                    There is NO ethical practice followed by these banks. There is NO such thing called "floating rate". It is only one directional, ie. trap the customer when it is low, and keep increasing but don't decrease when the economy softens.

                    I don't know what happening in this country. Nobody cares. If anybody is going to file a PIL on this, i will support. You can add me as a victim.

                      This indicent has happened in visakhapatnam on 11/26/08.Myn name is Anand Akolkar and I was apporved for a personl loan with a horrifying interest rate.

                      The principal was 75, 000/- rs (50%) of my eligibility and GUess what the interest arate for the amt to be paid in three years was 47, 850rs.

                      As I denied to pay such a high int the local credit manager along with the bloody executives told me to pay the processing fees and advised to cancel the loan.

                      Not ocnvinced when i informed i need more time the manager told me to sign on some blank sheets of paper which i did not do . Now the problem is i work for a bank so now there is no need to pay this fee. However imagine this people who are making several people pay forcefully for their blody commisinons.

                      This are the reasons why people are not paying back personal loans and are escaping from the same.

                      what i mean to say is it is really hell these days to even applyfor a loan.

                      The people who should b epunnished are
                      Mr. Vijay exedcutive personal loan
                      His sales managers (two) and the credit officer who is forcing to pay the loan in three years and yell the un affordalbe int rates.

                      Pls take necessary action and u can reachme on [protected] for assistance.
                      This incident has happened in Ramnagar Branch, Vizag, Hdfc personal loans department.

                      Punish the people and send them in the vizag jail.

                        Hello Sir,

                        Im Cyril Suresh from Chennai. I have taken a personal loan (PL: 2079010) from HDFC Bank. Where im making the EMI payment regularly throw ur collection devision. When i changed my salary account from SCB to ICICI, i intimated the bank to get me ECS through their bank so that they can collect their EMI from the account itself, they fauled to do so.
                        They told me that they will send a person regarding this, where a collection agent person represented from HDFC and asked me wether i will be comfortable paying throw cash everymonth throw him. I to agreed and one and half years a person was collecting from me where there was no strain for me but resently some other person is following this.

                        This month a girl named:
                        NITHYA (phone no:[protected],[protected].
                        was fallowing me for the payment where im asking here to make a call by 10.30am to collect the payment. But she never called me at that time and she will call in the afternoon where i will be with my client.

                        For the last 2 days i was not in station and she called to my residance phone no and she was informed by my brother that i was not in station and ill be back on 27th. But today insted of calling me she called to my Residance again where my MOTHER attended the call.

                        She used very abused language to my mother:

                        I[censored]R SON IS NOT CAPABEL OF PAYING THE LOAN WHY HE IS TAKING THE LOAN. IN WHAT WAY "YOU GROWN UR SON" . " ARE U A GOOD MOTHER", WHY UR HAVING THIS KIND OF SON.IF YOU ARE A GOOD PERSON ASK YOUR SON TO MAKE THE PAYMENT ELS I WILL SEND A PERSON (GUNDAS)TO YOUR HOUSE.
                        she was Threatening my mother.
                        Who is she to aske my mother this kind of Question? She has spoken in such a way that she is the Head of the HDFC Bank.
                        For your kind information my mother is a BP patient and she is very innocent where she dosent know any thing about banking transation. She dosent even know how to operate SB a/c.
                        Can you plese tell me this is the HDFC Bank procedure to collect the payment. Is RBI has given the Bank to use this kind of HARSH & THREATENING treatment towards the customers. That to where my mother is not a Customer or Taken any loan from HDFC Bank.
                        You can see my track that only this month payment is pending towards the loan. Im not Cheating HDFC Bank withou making the payment for a long time to handel me like a person who made a CRIME. Your people totaly INSULTED me, if you are in this situvation can u digest this kind of treatment.
                        If some thing happens to my mother will HDFC Bank take the responsability
                        I also complaind to the Phone banking people where they sed that they will get back to me after 48 hrs. complaint no or dock no:[protected]. after seing my mother i cant tolarate this and i cant wait till 48 hrs. thats whay im sending a mail to you.

                        See, you are absolutelly right but we can reply to them in their langugae if some threatning then we should beat him/her at their place, First please loudge a FIR then take an action.

                        today credit to my personal loan amont to A/C[protected] ICICI Bank Electronic city-Bangalore.
                        1.first one for me requested on the starting time unwards 2laks. but bank person to informed the loan approved 1day before 1laks only why?

                          I have applied for a HDFC personal loan so that they asked me to submit a Bank Statement of my Salary account and a guy called HARASHIT ( whose Manager is RAMESH) told me that they only need on-line net banking statement and that is what I have given them and the guy HARASHIT came to me and collected the documents and asked me to sign in many forms and I did so. Suddenly when I was checking my bank statement I found that a Rs. 112/- has been debited from my account and now they are telling me that they can't give me back my Bank Statement or the money and now I am really having a doubt that they can do anything harmful to me with those documents, can any one guide me regarding this matter

                            I had applied for IPIN from the bank.On[protected] SMS was sent to me that same has been sent through PAFEX courier wide airway bill no;[protected] after not receiving it, I checked the status from the site of PAFEX ON[protected]. The result was delivered on[protected] at 4.00pm. I mailed a complaint to HDFC Bank on the same day[protected]at 5.30pm asking for enquiring from the PAFEX where they have delivered the courier. The reply of the Bank is surprising instead of taking courier co. to task they advised me to apply for new IPIN.How they assure same thing will not be repeated

                                I TOOK AUTO LOAN FROM HDFC BANK ON 20/12/2005 TO BUY A SANTRO CAR. MY MONTHLY INSTALLMENT IS RS 6085 I RECIEVED A CALL FROM THE AUTO LOAN DEPARTMENT ON 26/11/2008 TO DEPOSIT ADDITIONAL RS 97 ON ACCOUNT OF LATE FEE. ITOLD THEM THAT THIS INSTALLMENT OF MINE IS GIVEN THROUGH AUTO DEBIT FACILITY THEREFORE THERE IS NO POINT OF IT GETTING LATE. BUT THEY ARE INSISTING ON ME TO PAY THIS AMOUNT.                                 My PF Account No. is 91296 my f & f satallment is cleared but i have not received any PF document

                                  I Ramesh Babu I have a TVS Victor on finance from Centurian Bank Bangalore, I have paid all emi (Amount) and nothing pending from my end, but bankers side showing 8k+pending, And i spoke to the Bank person Balaji & Krishna 7 they clearly told me that mistake is from their end (Bankerside) they promised to clear this issue asap. and will issue the NOC, But last 2 months i am trying to get the NOC

                                    Hi, I am having account in HDFC Lajpat Nagar Branch, which is my salary account. On the 4th of November one wrong ECS has been debited from account for amount Rs. 833.33/-, which is not related to me, I have complained at Cusotmer Care of HDFC, they reverted me for that the ECS Mandate for the said amount has been sent to you branch, which is signed by me, when i have visited the branch, the bank has shown me the signature which is not signed by me, even bank officicals says that it it not matching with my signature.
                                    I am not getting any solutions from HDFC Bank.
                                    Please help me..

                                    I HAD SALERY ACCOUNT WITH BANDRA BRANCH. I HUMBEL REQUEST YOU ALL PLEASE DONT APPLY FOR ANY ECS THROUGH HDFC BANK.
                                    THERE WAS AN ECS DEBITED FROM MY ACCOUNT ON 5 MAR OF 2000/ WHICH I HAD NOT APPLIED FOR.BANK SAYS THAT THEY HAD APPROVED MY ECS ON BASIS OF CHEQUE. BUT IN THAT CHEQUE MY SIGNATURE WAS NOT MACHING.REQUEST YOU ALL NOT TO GIVE ANY BLANK CHEQUE FOR ANY ECS ITS RISKY MORE THEN 2 MONTHS HAD BEEN PASSED BUT NO RESULTS FROM THERE END. DO NOT APPLY FOR ECS AS THEY DONT VERIFY YOUR SIGNATURE AND JUST DEDUCT THE AMMOUNT.AS IF ITS THERE MONEY

                                      I have one credit card machine of HDFC BANK installed at my shop for last 2 years. Now without informing me Bank has started charging Rs. 500 rent per month.
                                      I am requesting HDFC Bank Officials to with draw the macine from September 2008, they continously assured me to reverse the rent charges but nothing done neither reversing the charges nor they are withdrawing the machine.
                                      So I am deciding to go to Consumer Court against the HDFC BANK.
                                      Dear sir,
                                      I have one credit card machine of HDFC BANK installed at my service centre for last 8 years. Now the machine was not work. but already inform for your Servicing centre. The Service person said to Now the time not yet new machine .This rettified the problem with in 2 days clear it.

                                        FORCED POLICY
                                        POLICY NO.12100157

                                        My need to have a locker landed me into forcibly taking ‘HDFC Standard Life Insurance’.

                                        I approached the HDFC bank Greater Kailash-1 branch. on 8-Aug-2998.I was promised a locker for one year on the condition if I deposited money in a fixed deposit account for one year. They demanded 5 lakhs I agreed for two lakhs.

                                        They made me sign on the dotted lines on a bunch of papers which I did in good faith.

                                        I received the ‘Savings Assurance Policy’ by post ( Ref No.: 12100157 AWB No. # [protected] Blue Dart Courier) on 10- sept-2008

                                        On around 4-5th of Oct. 2008 I came to know through someone it was not a fixed deposit for one year but a 10 year plan where I had to deposit the same amount every year for the next 10 years. I refuted him by saying that since I have been offered a locker for one year why should the bank take a deposit for 10 years. He laughed it out and told me that I have been conned.

                                        Excited with frustration I visited the branch early morning the next day and confronted the agents and asked them as to why the period of the fixed deposit of 10 years was never disclosed to me. Instead of giving me a straight answer they began extolling the virtues of the scheme and eulogized the features of the policy.

                                        I reasoned out by telling them that as a 53 years old with lots of ailments as also not financially capable I would never ever opted for any long term deposit scheme/policy were I aware.

                                        I vehemently told them that I was not interested in the said policy and offered to withdraw. I also offered to surrender the locker if that was the condition.
                                        They showed their inability for rectification saying the 15 days ‘Option to return’ was also over. I was furious. I questioned them as to why this important piece of information that was vital to the policy not disclosed to me initially.. They had nothing to say. I was miserable.
                                        We all are aware of the marketing agents who in their zest and enthusiasm to accomplish their sinister task of meeting the target assigned to them and be in the good books of their bosses play crafty.

                                        There is a thin boarder line between cheating and not disclosing everything.

                                        Since time immemorial the role of agents has been one of trust and faith. They were always committed to offer services that deepened our trust in them.

                                        Was it not obligatory on the part of the agent/staff while initiating me into the schemes/policy to disclose each and every aspect of it as also to inform me about the time span, purpose of investment and most importantly keeping my age in mind?


                                        The two very important piece of information which is vital to the scheme was not disclosed to me :
                                        1. The tenure of 10 years.
                                        2. The ‘Option to Return’ within 15 days from the date of
                                        receipt of the policy document.

                                        It is also pertinent to note that I would have wasted not a single moment had I been informed of the ‘Option to Return’ policy and avoided being afflicted with misery and disgust.

                                        IIn the above circumstances I hereby request you once again to kindly refund my money as I do not wish to continue with the policy for reasons as stated above.
                                        I do hope you would treat my complaint fairly in good faith and in time without prejudice failing which I would have no option but to have recourse to all the avenues open to the aggrieved consumers to get justice.

                                        In trust is truth and truth is mighty and will prevail.

                                        SUB: - REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES AGAINST HDFC BANK & STANDARD LIFE INSURANCE CORP. PATNA (EXIBITION ROAD

                                        1. That I invested Rs 2, 00, 000 in HDFC Standard Life Insurance (vide cheque no. 0506129 dated 13 Sep 2007)
                                        2. I contacted the bank so many times to the then bank manager Mr Sudhanshu Mohan and Abhay Kumar: the policy manager, from abroad. And I was assured that your policy for Rs. 2, 00, 000 has been done (email evidence). To my surprise there was no such truth to my avail.
                                        3. On 30th July 2008, I visited the Bank and I enquired about my policy of two lakh. Mr Amit Balajee met with me because Mr. Sudhanshu Mohan & Mr Abhay Kumar had left the bank. (The reasons for leaving the bank is skeptical).Then Mr Balajee disclosed verbally that only one lakh has been invested in the said policy. The effective date of policy is 02, February, 2008 as mentioned by Mr Balajee. The Manager deposited the remaining Rs 1, 00, 000 to my NRE A/c no.[protected] vide cheque no. 0038334 dated[protected] from a/c no. [protected] ( HDFC SLIC ) after 10 months .And deposited 3500/- to my wife’s a/c no. [protected] Mrs Chandani Kumari. as a compensation.
                                        4. I requested Mr. Balajee to surrender my policy which has never been in force because till date I am not in possession of it. Also even if the bank offers me the policy I would not accept for the simple reasons that a bank can’t look after their customers in normal time what about after an eventuality. To this effect a written application dated 11/10/2008 has been submitted to the bank after clear assurance from the Bank Manager that the money ( Rs 1, 00, 000 ) would be remitted back to you with a handsome compensation.

                                        The Under mentioned facts are to be explored.

                                        I. Where my funds (Rs.1, 00, 000) were allocated for 10 months. The compensation i.e. 3500/- isn’t it too meagre. I am sure there is an embezzlement of funds by the bank
                                        II. Since the policy was not created why I was not informed where as I was in touch with the bank thru emails /Phone calls and even my brother Rajeev Kr visited the bank or else should have been deposited in my account.
                                        III. Why I was not informed despite my so many endeavours to know the status of my policy for Rs 2, 00, 000.
                                        IV. Where are the policy letter/Bond papers? Which the bank asserted has been created (w.e.f. 02 Feb, 2008).
                                        V. If at all the policy is created in my favour as they say I.e. w.e.f. Feb, 2008. Whereas the funds were debited from[protected].Why so late, The Bank played with my funds for more than 4 months.
                                        VI. Who should be held responsible for this period where as I was without an insurance cover and nevertheless for one lakh only while as I was under an apprehension that I have invested 2 Lakh for better insurance cover.
                                        VII. The expanses borne by me to call from abroad, personal visits to and fro Begusarai to Patna.
                                        VIII. Above all the mental stress due to which I m suffering from Hyper Tension and under going treatment.


                                        I am sure your good office would judge all the presented facts in the light of just and would ensure the grievances are redressed in the right perspective.
