Unable to book Tatkal tickets

Although there are 536 complaints available on IRCTC in this forum, has any action taken on it to rectify the problem. I am fed up booking any Tatkal tickets in IRCTC. I have never booked any Tatkal ticket, The IRCTC people are deliberately blocking the site exactly at 8 AM every morning. Are they just providing a service for the agents. Poor Website Performance

Today i tried to book ticket from Chennai central to Erode and Chennai central to Coimbatore. I entered into the payment gateway and once i gave pay it shows some page without any proper link or proper message. But the payment got deducted from my account. And i tried to relogin to the website it shows service unavailable. And again i tried to book the ticket second also i got the same page and the amount is also deducted from the account....

Tatkal Ticket online reservation - Racket

Hi,

I am a regular traveler and use IRCTC for booking online tickets. But, I have seen that Tatkal reservation is all mess. It’s merely an application only for name sake.

rail ticket cancellation not refunded

Hello All,

Myself Ravikant Ahuja, i booked train ticket thru www.irctc.co.in , which I cancelled on the date of train as train was late for more then 7 hrs. I had i file TDR already with irctc but no responce came yet its already 6 months (approx). please find below the detail of ticket booked.

Fake Website

The site seems to be useless, as most of the times it doesn't work. And specially when I tried to book my tickets in tatkal I log into irctc from 6 am morning but as soon as its 8 am the server goes down and remains down for 5 minutes and finally when the page opens reservation status is reached 100+ waiting.
I would suggest its better to close this site, because anyways its of no use. Rather provide the phone numbers of agents...

RESERVATION FOR Sr.CITIZEN

Dear Sir,
I have booked through IRCTC and am a Senior Citizen also. But unfortunately all the three times it was allotted Upper Berth vide PNR Nos.[protected];[protected];[protected] dt.11.11.2009.

I hav to cancel the above e-tkts with a loss and more to that my money not yet deposited back into my account.

I am here surprised about the railway booking package logic about allotting Upper berth to senior citizen....

ONLINE BOOKING FRAUD ON TATKAL

I try to book a train ticket under TATKAL. normaly TATKAL booking will open at 8am. when i try to book at 8am it says," sorry tatkal booking open after 8hrs" even at 8:20 also the same message, after it comes up with Waiting list 50" what stupit is this?. Bloody . This is purely Southerrailway FRAUD.they sell the tickets for the Agency with some commissions.

WHO WILL TAKE ACTION ON THIS?...

Problem in Tatkal booking

Hi ,
I want say that IRCTC site should be permanent close on 8:00AM to 9:00 AM. Since it is standared time for tatkal booking and in this time if any one can book ticket he will not success. Because upto this time the IRCTC site always shows "Service unavailable". I dont think so IRCTC is planning to use any Load Balancer for this time.
Can IRCTC guys tell me that they are thinking any thing for this time.

faulty server - booking agents racket

when I try to book indian railway ticket online. The ticket booking is allowed only after 8 A.M. And when I try to book it, for next half hour or so, it does not allow me to book ticket saying "services unavailable". And when after half hour when it allows me to go ahead with booking / shows page, all the tickets in tatkal quota are alloted and sold. Fraudulent Behaviour

It has been been my practical experience with the above site, while doing online booking (www.irctc.co.in), especially in TATKAL category.

Whenever I login on the site to do Tatkal booking, the site mysteriously depicts "Services Unavailable" message from dot 8.00 am to around 8.10 am. The same site works properly till 7.59.59 am and as soon as the clock strucks 8.00 am, we get the "Service Unavailable"...

I was supposed to board at Guwahati station The train No 2518 Garib Rath dated[protected] which was late by 9 hours than the scheduled departure time(21hrs) and was re-scheduled next day i.e. on[protected] at 06-30 hrs. I filed TDR for refund as the said train was late by more than 6hrs and was supposed to get back the full amount of my ticked according to the rules laid by the IRCTC . But till date I got refund only Rs. 293/-.I...

CHOOSING YOUR BERTH

BEFORE PASSENGERS ARE REDIRECTED TO BANK FOR MAKING PAYMENT THEY SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO SELECT THE BIRTH THEY PREFER.
I AM OVER SIXTY AND MANY A TIME I WAS ALLOTTED SIDE UPPER BIRTH AND I HAD TO CANCEL THOSE TICKETS DUE TO MY INABILITY TO CLIMB UP TO THAT BIRTH. IN THE PROCESS I HAD TO LOOSE MONEY I PAID TO BANK FOR THE ONLINE TRANSACTION.
IF I WOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE BIRTH TO BE ALLOTTED TO ME WOULD BE THE SIDE UPPER...

I sent various mails to IRCTC, regarding my refund issue, but there is no response from them, initially they gave me a ticket number as if they are really going to work on it, later they didn’t even bother to reply my e mails. i travelled oct19th from trichy to chennai (Rockfort Express). i booked train tickets for my whole family (5 members) through e-ticket.
