Dear Sir/ MadameMy father Mr. Kamal kapoor is right now travelling in the following train ni:2926, his P. N. R no : [protected], dated 29/02/08, Jalandhar to Mumbai. Would like to inform you that he demanded a nonveg breakfast and lunch from pantry being run by the IRCTC and was refused by the catering deptt on the pretext of fear of the bird flu and on the directions of the railway authorities they are not serving teh nonoveg food to the passengers from the last two to three months.
On demand to produce circular if any, the concerned people failed to produce the same. My fateher has also filed a formal complaint in the complaint book vide receipt no. 18.
My father Mr. kamal Kapoor also visited the pantry area and denanded a menu from them which he again refused by the manager ( Pantry) and to his surprise the70% of the food items displayed on the menu board were not available... eg..fish curry, south indian food, lassi etc.
And also they are using LPG cylinders for the cooking purpose in the kitchen which is of highly inflammable natture and can be of great danger.
Also the kitchen was in the most unhygeinic conditions.
