1. I booked e ticket on 09 Feb PNR [protected] for Sampark Kranti from Bhopal to Secunderabad.
2. Till 18 Mar 2300h the status of this ticket was WL 3,4,5.
5. Inspite of booking this ticket on 09 Feb 10 there was no change in my status till 18 Mar midnight . Thus keeping me hanging till last minute
4. Per force on 17 Mar, I had to book a tatkal e ticket PNR [protected] for DAKSHIN Exp, the timings of which did not suit me since my family had to travel from Sagar to Bhopal without any connecting train for Dakshin exp.
5. At time of booking of tatkal e ticket no warning was given to me that this ticket cannot be cancelled and no refund is applicable.
4. On 18 Mar at 2300h, PNR [protected] got confirmed.
5. Sampark Kranti being the preferred train because of timing and connectivity, I decided to cancel DAKSHIN EXPRESS TICKET.
7. To my surprise, I am told that I cannot get any refund on tatkal confirmed ticket.
8. This denies my right to cancel a confirmed ticket and that too because of circumstances created by railways.
9. Rules are to respected but exception to the rules need to be viewed case to case and accordingly handled.
10. Please clarify the following:-
(a) Why there was no change in my WL status for more than 40 days when reservation and cancellation status is updated online.
(b) Why charts were updated at 2300h on 18 Mar when departure of the train is at 0700h on 19 Mar.
(c) Why no warning is given to the customer that no refund is applicable for booking a confirmed tatkal e ticket.
(c) Why right of cancellation is denied to a tatkal passenger prior to departure of the train.
11. I would request this issue to be handled deliberately and refund granted.

    I have booked 2 tickets from Bandra Terminus to Vapi for Intercity train(bandra surat) of 6.50 am from Bandra terminus. I was charges Rs. 158.07 for 2 tickets including credit card charges. Both tickets got auto cancelled as it was in waiting list after chart preparation. But refund I got was only Rs. 101.98 against both tickets. I was been told that if there was auto cancellation then full amount gets refunded. then why so... Please revert me the status.

      I filed a TDR in IRCTC on 12th oct,2009, even after mailing 6 times to customer care, TDR enquiry i didn't got any answer.

      Same issue filed TDR on 15th April and did not get refund. now its 03rd December.

          Hello,

          Today (08/03/2010) I have done an online transaction to purchase a ticket on 7226 Amaravati Exp from Hubli Jn to vijayawada boarding on 10/03/2010 for Sri khs sudheer. Unfortunately after the payment was made through SBI payment gateway, the error, "REDIRECT=https://www.irctc.co.in/cgi-bin/bv60.dll/irctc/booking/bankrespon... came up without giving me the confirmation of the payment and neither the ticket is generated.

          This is really embarrasing situation and IRCTC is expected to help me at the earliest with the ticket if the payment is already confirmed at their end. If not refund the same amount.

          ARUN MUKERJI, I booked an E-ticket today (31/08/2013) on Indian Railway E-Ticket booking website www.irctc.co.in throuh my registered email address for self & wife, Reena Mukerji (both being senior citizens). The e-ticket was booked in AC-I by 12555 Gorakhdham Express
          for 30/10/2013, boarding at Gorakhpur Jn to Lucknow NR. Payment of Rs 1, 442.47 (Rupeese one thousand four hundred forty two & paise forty seven only) was made on date, through SBI portal No POS PRCH[protected] IRCTC. The amount has already been debited from my account. This is to inform that the e-ticket processing site did not complete the process & the ticket could not be generated.
          It is to request that an e-ticket may please be sent on my registered email address at the earliest or a refund of the paid amount be made
          to my bank.

          Difference in train number

          I booked a ticket through irctc from patna to anand vihar. The train number shown on the ticket was 22487 which is different from the original train number 12487. Due to this disperancy i was unable to continue the journey.

          cannot log in

          dear sir i cannot log in my irctc web site while clicking find trains it automatically logs out kindly resolve my problem

            I had a reservation for 3 tickets on 2-tier AC from Renigunta to Dadar on Train # 2164 for 7th March 2010.
            Reservation date:[protected] Status at time of reservation: 13/14/15. PNR: [protected]

            By 6th March the status had been updated to 3/4/5 and a few hours before travel improved to RHA1 17 / WL1 / WL2. I was traveling with my parents (68 and 57 yr old) and was not willing to board the train if we did not have individual berths.

            We got to Renigunta station early to inquire about the possibility of traveling with 2 waitlisted passengers. We were CLEARLY told by the railway authorities that since we have 1 RAC passenger on the ticket, we are ALLOWED to board the train and the TC on the train should be able to accommodate the 2 wait listed names.

            Given the assurances stated above we boarded the train and soon hit a brick wall. The TC started the conversation with "Its a full train and there not much I can do". Well he ended up doing a lot of stuff for another group which had 'lots' of money to shell out!

            The same group shared the single RAC reservation with us and were kind enough to give the entire seat to us. So yeah we had now paid Rs 3680 to share 1 berth amongst:
            - Me
            - 68 yr old man
            - 57 yr old woman.

            The TC had the audacity to say "You dont have much to offer, the other group had a lot to give!"

            After a good 8 hours of travel, a different TC was kind enough to allocate a 'no-show' seat to us in the adjacent berth and that made it a little better for the 3 o[censored]s.

            I do not feel like claiming TDR since we all ended up traveling on the ticket on offer. However I ask IRCTC if this was worth Rs 3680 that they charged us?

                I try to book my ticket from amritsar by my home internet connection.but due to network failur its not booked and i have not recived any message.but the cost of ticket Rs 83 is deducted from my debit card.I think that its not a huge amout but how much inconvinece i feel only i can understan. by happining these type mistakes it make bad impression to us and our country.so please update ur software that people can use it freely without any fear.And tell me that how i can get my refund.thanks.

                    Hi,
                    I have booked tickets for my parents from Bangalore (SBC) to Hyderabad (KCG) for journey on 1/Mar/2010 on Kacheguda Express. My dad was is the main passenger and he lost is wallet on the way to the railway station and hence he could not provide the Original copy of ID card. Though he didn't have the original copy of any id cards, he had the SBI debit card with his name on it and the TTR refused to accept that as an id proof. Now there is no way that he can get his id card right at that moment. His other id proofs are at home in Hyderabad. What can anyone do in such situations? The TTR behaved rudely and demanded Rs.1048 (double the actual ticket fare for 2), which is totally insane. I need to know if this is the correct fine amount. I need to know if this is real way to behave with my parents who are totally tried explaining him what actually happened. I read in the tickets that even if you don't carry the actual ticket itself you will be fined only Rs.50 per head

                    I paid Rs.563 for booking the tickets (online) and my parents paid a fine of Rs.1048. So totally we have paid up ~Rs.1611 (which is totally insane). I NEED JUSTICE and I need to be charged only what I should be charged. Also the TTR who has pained my parents and caused mental torture to them should be punished. So I need to escalate this issue, as well as I need to get back my money if he has charged us wrongly.

                    IRCTC — IRCTC Duplicate Booking and Refunds

                    Dear All,

                    I hereby write with referance to above subject. I can not explain by words that how bad the IRCTC customer complaint redrassal system is.

                    I have suffered twice in last 15days from it. I am a frequent traveller being a manager in MNC.
                    To explain in first case, I have booked the ticket(E ticket) for 4 pax. Out of which 2 Pax got reservation amd i and my colleuge has not got the confirmed tickets and was waitlisted. On station the Chief Ticketing Officer has confirmed that i can board the train, However after boarding TTE has charged the heavey panalty and confirmed that the original amount will credtied back to the account. Which has not happened till date. And neither anybody responds from IRCTC [protected]@irctc.co.in nor they take calls on their all nos. I have lost 1600Rs.

                    IRCTC - Tatkal — Online Tatkal for Bangalore Exp Fails

                    Hi,

                    Though the online booking for Tatkal starts at 8 am, the booking for Bangalore Exp (6525) says booking is not permitted. The Availabilty status says "Not Available" till all the tickets are over?? This is the 10th time atleast I am facing this problem. I have not seen this with other trains, and I dont know what the problem is with this one. If somebody can, please help.

                    If you look at the picture below, you can see the time is now 8:40 am. It is still saying Booking Not Permitted?

                    First thing is that TC who ever in S! coach asked my husband to give 500 rs for the ticket confirmation.
                    Second this is that if not 500 rs you will pay he ask him to getdown in Lingapply.

                    My question is that:
                    For 400 rs ticked if we pay 500 rs extra to TC means my husband will get the seat?
                    Is this the way of treating the passengers?
                    nothing was mentioned like the in tatkal rules that if our tickets were not confirmed in tatkal means we shd not travel on that schedueld train why?

I asked for a duplicate copy or cancellation of that four seats.As I am working in transport department of karnataka state with ID proof had the following information of the tickets-PNR number, seat number-13, 14, 19, 20, ticket number[protected] with ID proof .But still they did not allow us inside the bus.So the conductor suggested to pay the amount for same seats.Again I paid the amount Rs 558*4= Rs 2232/- .Hence I request you to refund the amount of reserved tickets back.

                    Indian Railway auothorised IRCT to book tickets on some condition and terms. A passanger who books his ticket by IRCT he is bound to these condition. Train Ticket Checking Staff only obeys Railway Rules. He can not change the railway rules. So this is clear that " If passanger fail to show an photo identycard ( PAN Card, Driving Liscens, Election Photo Identy Card, Passport and Gornment issued Identy Card for their employee), he will treted as Without ticket."
                    And if you are with an orignal identy card menion above and have no Electronic Reseevation Slip, you will be charges Rs.50/-
                    When you are charged without ticket, you have to paid at about Rs.370/- more than orignal ticket fare in Sleeper class.
                    I[censored] r travelling on E tkt u have to carry an ID proof. Since u are charged by TC, U can claim the refund by filing TDR, U can go through IRCTC web site. After log in u will find the link General-File TDR procedure.

                    i had travelling form mulund to cbd belapur via thane i had bought ticket for that ihave tool train from thane for vashi as there no train for direct belapur at that time i have alight at vashi for onwards jounery for cbd belapur T/C has check my ticket & told me that i have travelling in wrong direction & i have to alight at sanpada station for onwards jounery for cbd belaur. i convinced that this not my fault that in my ticket nothing has been written that i have to travel via sanpada. T/C has charged me fine for sanpada to vashi Rs. 5 & penalty Rs. 250.00. he touchred me that if i will not pay

                    dear sir,
                    i want to open an account in bank of india, in greater kailash part 2 branch. but they refused to open my account because they want identification proof of delhi state, meanwhile i have my driving lisence as id proof which is from aligarh transport athourity ( UTTAR PRADESH). And i also attached a bonafide letter with all risk and resposibilties taken by my employer with local address, altough my employer also have an account in the same branch of bank of india.
                    Sir i cannot undestand why the bank people not accepting my DL as valid ID proof, well its also have government of india seal and it also allowed me drive throughout india, mobile operators provide me connection on same lisence ,in addition to this i also provide bonafide letter from my employer who have years old account in the same branch. i also advice them if they want i will also submit photo identitity card of mine from aligarh.

He carried his laminated driving license(ofcourse its an xerox of his original) and i carried my original passport. The checking squad was so rude, she refused to accept my original passport and fined us an amount 0f 1200(aprox) when we demand an explanation she failed to explain us and the checking happened only in our compartment. When we asked why the hell you people are doing this only in some compartments she just ignored us and left the place. We need to know

                    -->what basis she calculated the fine amount.
                    --> is the squad's duty is to check all the compartments or not ?

                    Of course mistake is with us too, we have to carry the original proof. For our mistake we have paid the fine amount. Who the hell will take care of the squad who failed to check all the passengers?

                    We have been travelling in train for so many years, we didnt face such problems the TT will usually accept anyones valid ID

                    On receiving credit card statement, it is found that same amount (i.e. 309.47) is also claimed on[protected].
                    I had never booked any ticket on[protected] which can be verified by details of "Booking History". There is no entry on[protected] in the "Booking History" hence it is a duplication of 309.47.
                    Please cancel the entry of[protected] and refund duplicated amount.

                    IRCTC — DUPLICATE TICKET CHARGES

                    I had booked railway ticket (on line) on[protected] and payment of Rs. 309.47 was made through credit card.
                    On receiving credit card statement I was shocked to note that same amount (i.e.309.47) is appearing twice, once on[protected] and
                    another on[protected] so I contacted credit card dept and brought this duplication to their notice. They replied that railway has
                    claimed these money and Railway has to rectify this mistake.
                    In support of my claim, I request to go through"Booking of History" which clearly shows booking only on[protected]. This is mistake,
                    by Railway and request you to rectify and refund Rs.309.47 at earliest.

                    For AC class tickets purchased through counter also, now original ID is compulsory. I showed the duplicate copy of the ID, i.e. Colour xeroxed and laminated card. But squad people refused to accept it. Though the ID is compulsory for only one passenger, they levied fine for all the three passengers shown in the ticket. This is atrocious, inhuman and totally opposed to public interest. Even the airlines are accepting the duplicate copy of the IDs, why not railway officials. Totally unjust behaviour by a Government (Democratic or autocratic) department. Railways will doom soon.

                    Hi today I booked an Tatkal e-ticket for my father in irctc while booking I gave the Id proof as Voter-Id..Unfortunately I have given the voter id number wrongly .Since my father name is there in the ticket and my father has original Voter-ID with him will TTR accept it?Or he will charge fine? If so how much will be the fine amount?Please someone help me as he is going to travel tommorow.

                    I booked tatkal ticket for my mother and aunt (from Vizag to Secundrabad). I used my mother's bank pass books (photo copy) as ID proof while booking the ticket, but while traveling my mother carried her aadhar card as ID proof. In Secundrabad, the ticket collector asked for ID proof and my mother showed her aadhar id as proof, but the ticket collector rejected it and fined double amount.

                      IRCTC — LAST REMINDER REGARDING TDR

                      Sir,

                      This is in reference to the TDR file on 17th feb,2010. The TDR Ref No.is ekt [protected] the refund sought for PNR NO- [protected] vide the refered TDR is still awaited.Even after the period of nine months the refund has not been made which is very deplorable and disappointing considering the modern on line facilities available.The delay shows the lethargic attitude of railways towards its customers

                      I once again request you to speed up the matter, failing which I will have no other option but to approach the relevant court of law i.e.consumer court. Hopefully the matter is resolved at the earliest.

                        Rules for Waitlisted E tickets passengers

                        a) Status of E-tickets after chart preparation

                        1. Confirmed E ticket –Wait-listed E- ticket where all passengers are confirmed at the time of charting.
                        2. Partially waitlisted/Confirmed/RAC E ticket - Wait-listed E- ticket where some passengers are confirmed/RAC and others are wait-listed at the time of charting.
                        3. Fully waitlisted E tickets - Wait-listed E- ticket where all passengers continue to be waitlisted at the time of charting.


                        b) Authorization to board the train

                        1. Passengers with Confirmed E ticket are permitted to board the train. Their names will appear on the chart.
                        2. Names of passengers with Partially Waitlisted /Confirmed/RAC will appear on the chart (including the Waitlisted passengers).
                        3. PNRs having Fully waitlisted status will be dropped and names of the passengers will not appear on the chart. They are not allowed to board the train. If full waitlisted passengers are found travelling, they will be treated as without ticket and charged as per extant Railway rules.


                        c) Cancellation rules

                        1. Confirmed E ticket can be cancelled by passengers through internet before chart preparation only.
                        2. Partially waitlisted/Confirmed/RAC E ticket can be cancelled by passengers through internet before chart preparation only.
                        3. Fully waitlisted E tickets can be cancelled by passenger using internet before chart preparation. After chart preparation it will be cancelled by Railways and money refunded automatically.


                        d) Refund rules

                        1. After chart preparation, Refunds for Confirmed/RAC/Partially Waitlisted E ticket will be processed through TDR process. Customer can file TDR online and refund sanctioned by Railways would be credited back to user/agents account.
                        2. After chart preparation, Fully waitlisted E ticket will be cancelled by Railways and refund shall be credited to user/agents account automatically.

                        I booked an E tkt for my family. One of the passenger"s sex was wrongly indicated. Male instread of female.

                        I went to reservtion counter in KR Puram, Indira Nagar and Mayo Hall. They all refused to correct the tkt ont he plea that they have no such arrangements with them.

                        irctc railway ticket — IRCTC cheating

                        Hi Sir,

                        I have booked a ticket from chennai to vizag for 13 oct 2010 and while booking the status is wl 3 & 4.Aftwer the chart preparation the status is confirmed for one passenger and waiting list for other passeneger on one ticket.PNR no is [protected].As they will not allow the waiting lis t passenger we have droopped and filed TDR for the confirmed passenger assuming that the waiting list ticket amnt wil get automatically refunded.But now it didnt happened and when we call the customer care they are saying that the ticket is in partially waiting list and we need to file TDR for both passegers.As we dont know this process we have lossed 1700 without travelling and I need file a forum on this.Please help the customers in this type of cheating.They are cheating and bluffing the customers with this internet reservation.wat abt a lay man who doesnt know this process.

                            Dear Sir/Madam,

                            This compliant is with reference to one of the rules that is being followed in IRCTC for the Waiting List category of E-tickets.

                            When a consumer's E-Ticket booked in IRCTC for a travel in a sceduled train is happened to be on waiting list category at the time of booking and if it status is 'Waiting List' at the time of chart preparation, the E-ticket will get cancelled automatically. If that person travels with that ticket, he is just regarded as ticketless passenger.

                            I would like to strongly advocate against this rule. Because, while booking the E-ticket, the passanger is paying an extra reservation charge. Why not the E-Ticket is given the same options as that with the tickets reserved at the counter. Why not the E-ticket waiting list is also allowed to be in the queue and to get cleared even after the chart preparation?

                            IRCTC - Railways e-ticket — Refund Status

                            I booked an e-ticket with PNR [protected] from Kalyan to Lucknow (Date of Journey 24/10/08) on 28/08/08 and I cancelled the ticket on 23/10/08 but the amount for the ticket has not been yet refunded to my account.

                            It has been more than two months and I am continuously following IRCTC helpline but no action has been yet taken on it.

                            Everytime I had to call IRCTC and customer care people will ask to wait for a week or two. But no concrete action has been taken yet. I had already called up IRCTC helpline about 25-30 times and have spended around Rs 200 for ticket of cost rs 441.

                            Today i.e 07/02/2009 I booked an e-ticket thru my HDFC Credit Card but suddenly server gets down and i did not got any tickets but my money has already been deducted from my account.can u please find the reason for that.

                            I had a waiting ticket for today - 07MAY09(PNR Number[protected]. I have been trying to cancel it since last afternoon (3 PM onwards) but website will keep going down with the message "Service Unavailable". Finally I wrote email to cancel my tickets at ids [protected]@irctc.co.in & [protected]@irctc.co.in. Next day morning I checked again. To my shock they have not cancelled the ticket and it has got confirmed. Now that the chart is ready, it cannot be cancelled online also.                             A lots of fraud business is going under the name of e- ticketing.The refunds of WL e -tickets are not given to the passengers as per the rules written on the e-tickets it self.Many people have various other complains against e-tickets.I feel either the railways should issue only confirmed e-tickets or not issue any e-tickets(i.e.waitlisted tickets)
                            I think one of the source of the whole lot of profit made by the indian railways these days is the funds collected by it not refunding passengers money on cancelled and WL tickets!!!

                            Hi,

                            I booked three i-tickets through IRTC for some of my friends who are staying in Salem and sent a hard copy to them. All the tickets are in waiting list.

                            Unfortunately, they postponed the trip and they are not in a position to cancel the tickets on the day and the tickets are in waiting list.

                            I have gone through the IRCTC instructions and sent a mail to IRCTC team. They said that it's okay to cancel the tickets the next day also. When we approached the reservation counter the next day, they argued and they didn't allowed us to cancel the tickets.

                            As I can't access my id in irctc.co.in. I am want to cancel my E-Ticket. The PNR
                            NO of the E-Ticket is ( [protected] ) and Transaction Id No. is ( [protected] )
                            of Train No. 2651 that is SAMPARK KRANTI Express. I had booked tickets for
                            boarding the Train from Madurai on 21/08/10 and i want to cancel The Ticket of
                            Three i.e. (3 ) passenger of AC 2 Tier ( 2A ) . Please Cancel all the tree
                            E-Tickets. Please send me comfirmation on that on my E-mail address
                            ([protected]@yahoo.co.in) and on Mobile No. ( [protected] ). Please cancel it
                            urgently. Do now at will.
                            It is a geniune point of complain.As stated by you, if the User ID does'nt print on the E.Ticket, it may be treated as fake one by the TTE at the time of journey .In the such casses passangers face a unplesant situation.In my opinion E Ticket should be cancelled immediately and IRCTC may take steps for rectification of such mistake in future for convinient of E Ticket holder.                             Dear Sir / Madam,

                            This is to inform you that I have booked a e - Ticket from Yesvantpur (YPR) to Kacheguda ( Andhra Pradesh) on 30th June 2010 & the date of Journey was 2nd July 2010, The trasaction id was [protected] & my PNR number was [protected].

                            there were 2 passengers who were supposed to travel on that date but only 1 tkt got confirmed out of two so one passenger had to return back from the station & the tkt collector informed that the other tkt will refunded back to your account automatically, so I request you to kindly verify all the facts and do the needfull with an intimation to the undersigned at the eraliest.

                            I had faced a similar problem in the past also & I was informed by the customer care that the refund process will take 6 -8 weeks so I was under the impression that my refund is under process but now the customer care has informed me that my travel date had lapsed 1 month so now they will not be able to process my request.

                            The reply which was given to me by the customer care is not at all justified at all so I request the concern dept. to kindly intevene and look into the matter.

                            Hope the needfull would be done at the eraliest.

                            Sir,

                            I had booked 2 tickets (Pnr Number: [protected])on 11th August,2010 in Charminar Express from Chennai To Secunderabad to travel on 7th November 2010. Later, I cancelled (Transaction ID: [protected])one of the tickets on 15th September,2010. But Still the amount of rs.272/- which has to be refunded is not refunded in my account.

                            The refund status of cancelled ticket shows as "Sent for Refund" for almost 10 days. But nothing has been refunded as such. I have even mailed the concerned authorites at [protected]@irctc.co.in and [protected]@irctc.co.in. I just got a mail that your complaint has been registered/or escalated. but no action has been taken as such.

                            Indian Railways reservation system — Printing of e ticket

                            I cannot print my e-ticket with normal fonts. It is printed in condensed fonts which is very difficult to read. Is there is any setting of the printer which i have to change?

                            There must be some changes in this rule.
                            This seems to a big loss sometimes, as people are highly dependent on their railway tickets, and such a partial rule, impacts big plans.
                            There should not be any difference in the waiting tickets, whether it is done at counter or e-ticket or i-ticket.

                            If the facility is provided, let the people use it fully... else close such facilities.

                            True. The rule has to change. I had a Waitlist 2AC e-ticket and the same did not get confirmed at the time of chart preparation, even though the status was WL 2 and WL 3. We hoped that it will get confirmed to RAC. But it did not. I was shocked to see that people with tickets booked at the counter or with an i-ticket got confirmed with WL 112 nos and more. I also came to know that the PNR generation is diiferent for e-tickets and counter tickets and preference is first given to counter tickets in WL category and not e-tickets. Hence if you have an e-ticket with WL status, don't book it. The possibility of it getting confirmed to RAC or confirmed status is rare. If that is so, then Railways should remove the option of booking WL status tickets from the e-ticket module. We will save some money. Manoj Warrier, Mumbai

                            Sir/mam,

                            plz look at the matter that IRCTC was wants to provide the phone no of the passengers while booking ticket through agent. This wasa such a redecullas information wants by IRCTC. There are many problem faced by agents by this rule. The first problem is that while you go for the cancellation the system of irctc wants that phone no while cancellation , that was a tough thing to remember the passenger to provide the same no, the other problem we have to faces that some passengers are continues changes the no. if his ticket was booked three months earlier ,it impossible to remember in his half to remember that three months back which no was used by him. the other problem was to rise that some people doesn't exposure his/her no. The other problem arise that in that the village & small town girls & women doesn't give there personal no.

                            Dear Sir I had an e ticket for the journey from Patna to Bokaro Steel City on 16.12.2010 by train no. 8623.For some unavoidable reasons I had to cancel my ticket.On attempting cancellation a message given that ticket would not be cancelled as the chart has already been prepared. I consulted Railway no. [protected].They advised me to file a TDR.As the purchased tickets details were not found there on the TDR page of IRCTC the process of filing could not be completed.You R requested to make my refunds back.

                            Nagesh — not issue ticket

                            Hi,
                            I am travelling from Channapatna to Bangalore everey day. Every day I am facing and seeing that the conductors collect exact ticket amount and don't give tickets to passengers. Today (Jan 1st 2011), I have seen that the conductor didn't give tickets for 80% of the people in the bus. I observed in each and every stop. Just he is collecting money from passengers and didn't give any ticket. I asked him somany times for my ticket and he was telling something else. Whle discussing with conductor, my bus stop came. The bus details are as follows.

                            From: Didn't see exactly
                            To: Bangalore

                            This is doing not only this conductor, many many. 90% of conductors are doing like this. But no one is taking any action.

                            Because of this mainly KSRTC is loosing their profits drastically. People please think about this and take necessary actions if any Police office or KSRTC staff will see.

                            I have done transaction of railway ticket from www.irctc.co.in.But my transaction not successful and ammount has deducted from my HDFC bank account.

                            IRCTC — CAN'T BOOK TATKAL TICKET ONLINE

                            I am also one of the Indians who are fade up of our corrupted systems. One decent example is Railway department. Today 09-Feb-2011, I am on my computer since 7:30 just to prepare myself for booking :-). When I started booking there are aroung 120+ seats however after several attempts they came down to WL23.Same thing happened to me (like several other Indians) many times in past but this is the first time I am writing complain. On the name of Tatkal facility we are already paying a significant amount then why railway department behaving like this. Isn't it extreme greediness? If we ask some railway clerk or agent for ticket booking then they can do it for you. I asked an agent who books through railway department people then he asked me an amount of 2000 for a ticket that actually worth 1050. What a pity that government bodies has nothing to do with general people; they only consider general population only at the time of applying Tax Rules.

                            What is the use of a facility which one can never avail it. 95% of the time we fail to book tatkal tickets online. WHY IS IT SO? Because we belongs to general category and we are not allowed to book ticket until Railway department itself or their agents are not done with their own ticket booking.

                            I request to honorable Railway Minister on behalf of thousands of Indians to please look into these issues. If Railway Department wants to earn money from their Agents and kindly provide them special Agent quota which similar to Tatkal and make rule if they found guilty of booking ticket from general people quota (by any means) then they have to pay a huge penalty. Sir, we are already paying a lot of money to government in different forms so kindly make our lives a bit easy. We all will be grateful to you.

                            we spend more on e ticket and yet are given preference in the last...
                            i think the railways should look into the matter with more of a concern and better stabilizing approach rather than acting on with the same process whickmakes no sense or just cancel your irctc because it dosent help the way we expected it would.

                            IRCTC has a reason here. A majority of the Waiting list passengers donot travel. So auto cancellation is a useful and a must feature for these people. Hence I propose there should be an option in IRCTC website to choose if we wish to hold the ticket. By default, you can auto cancel the ticket. But when a customer explicitly asks the IRCTC to hold the WL ticket by not AUTO CANCELLING the ticket, this ticket should be of equal importance to the one, which one buys at the counter.

                            Dear Sir,

                            I booked a e-ticket today through IRCTC Login, from Pune to Mumbai CST by 11008 Deccan Express vide PNR No.[protected] and as per the e-ticket the fare for Chair Car was Rs.639/- for 2 adult & 1 child ticket with IRCTC Service charge Rs.20/-.However, Rs.669/- was deducted from my account i.e Rs.10/- more.

                            Same thing was noticed on earlier booking as well as cancellation.

                            3. could not open site http://www.irctc.co.in/ throughout the day, even from different machines at different locations (learnt later that there was problem in irctc server )

                            4. also tried all customer care numbers, no body attended despite continuous ringing.

                            5. since train departs at 0615 hrs hence charting would be done today evening (09 may 11 evening) and thereafter i ll not be able to get refund.

                            6. i am loosing my hard earned money for no fault of mine. it was irctc server which prevented me to cancel it in time as eticket can not be cancelled on counter or any other way

                            IRCTC — FULL REFUND OF CANCELLED TICKETS

                            I'm Jayesh Parikh from Bharuch having booked Rly. Tkts. vide PNR No. [protected], Transaction ID: [protected] which was booked on[protected] of Sleeper Class Journey in Train No. 19944on Dt.[protected], but at the last moment Authority has announced Cancellation of Train. In fact to catch this Train from Ahmadabad we have traveled through Karnavati Express with Seating Reservation from Bharuch and on reaching Ahmadabad, we came to know that the Train is canceled and immediately we have to rush for other alternative arrangements to reach our destination.
                            I have filed TDR after reaching back to my home town Bharuch on[protected] and than after I'm in receipt of Rs.121-00 only against Total Rs. 253-00 ( inclusive of Internet booking charges ). Than after I had reminded the authority for refunding me balance amount Rs. 132-00, but yet awaited.
                            We request you sir, kindly to support me in getting back my balance amount, as due to Railways Management Train was Cancelled and that is why we were not able to Travel in the Train, there is no fault at all from our end.
                            On the contrary, unnecessarily we have traveled by Train to Ahmadabad and than traveled by Travels Luxury Bus at Premium Charges. So we are looser both the way.

                            Indian Railways — IRCTC e Ticket booking site is down more than 4 Hrs

                            India Railways e-Ticket booking site https://www.irctc.co.in/ is not working for more than 4 Hrs. Being a very big public transport system in India it should maintain standards in booking system. The site was down for more than 4 Hrs means thousands of people were affected by this issue, many people were unable to travel as per their plans.

                            Indian railway should consider this as their failure in maintaining the system, and they should take severe action on the site maintenance company.

                            IRCTC — People with no reservation tickets travelling in reservation coach

                            Dear Sir,
                            I am travelling in Sayyajinagari Express, Train No.19115 from Bombay to Bhuj. I have experienced that from Borivali and Dahanu Road Station lots of working people and students are travelling in reservation coach without reservrd ticket and being trouble to passengers with reserved tickets. We can not sit properly because of crowd. There is no meaning of our reservation.
                            So I request you to take some action against this problem.
                            This is too funny at Indian Railway end. I faced the same situation of auto e-ticket cancellation. Waited for round 2 hours at railway station keeping my finger crossed to get my ticket confirmed and surprised to know about this funny rule. Why Funny www.irctc.com always send sms as well as mail for all transaction but for auto cancelled ticket. There was no cancellation information by SMS, e-mail, 139, Customer Care[protected] or my ID at IRCTC.

                            My journey was of around 5 hours using bus and 4 hours using the train. I waited 2 long hours for the luxury I paid for. At the time of Chart preparation my waiting status was 10. when the train arrived I came to know that my ticket get auto cancelled and other's ticket get confirmed even they were higher then me in waiting list. Moreover I was offered standing journey by one of the TT by paying Rs. 1, 700 where as 1st class ticket is of only Rs. 800.

                            I fail to understand why I paid taxes since ages. Whatever happen I will not pay any Tax now onward as system is to help people from people contribution called tax and not to harass them. This is simply HARRASMENT. Moreover I am talking about our Capital's Railway Station "NEW DELHI".

                            irctc on line booking — no confirmation of the tickets booked

                            yesterday i shinglee samuel huang booked tickets on line with irctc for Bareilly and back yesterday and both ways for the19th, dec by 14313 and return on the 7th.jan 2012 by14314 and they did not give me any reply of my booking whatsoever.

                            today i found out the money had been deducted from my account from my bank of rs 2132/- plus there is no history of the bookings that i made yesterday.

                            i am 66 yrs and have heart problem and my bp is going higher by hour. i am worried that if this money is lost then my son may not ever give me the chance to visit my sister.

                            i also wrote to [protected]@irctc.co.in and they replied that i should use this # for future quaries the id # 1961173 thats it.
                            please help me and let me know what should i do to get my booked tickets or my money back

                            I totally agree with this. This complaint should be fought in consumer court and i think people will win this case easily as it is totally a farce rule which should be fought in the court against Indian Railways.

                            i have reserved for two e tickets from thiruchendur to mayiladuthurai two months ago. i was put in w/l no 10&11. but till now the update waiting list not published in net .how a long time the old w/l continues reply me immediatly.PNR NO [protected] .
                            Railway did this (auto cancellation of waiting list e-ticket) because how TTE could know that this e-ticket has not been cancelled by the passenger or his relatives. To avoid such misuse, Railway must start a service in ticket counters to lock the cancellation procedure on passengers request (after chart preparation) and issue a token kind of ticket showing PNR number etc. that this particular ticket has been prevented from cancellation online through internet. - naresh dot kankaria at gmail dot com

                            I also agree with all of you complain, I have booked e-ticket 90 days before i.e. 13.10.2011 and date of journey is 1.1.2012 whose booking status is W/L-4 and current status is W/L-3 and it is auto cancelled.
                            i see that other people whose W/L no is between 0-10 is either RAC or CNF.
                            I dis-pointed that I booked 90 days before ticket but it does not confirmed.why this type of difference is done by irctc E-ticket W/L and Counter Ticket W/L.
                            Please solve this problem and give permission to E-Ticket W/L Passenger to travel to train
                            I had a strong Complain about Indian Railways.
                            The E-ticket is automatically cancelled when it is on "waiting list" when chart is prepared.
                            Then what is the need to give facility of Internet Reservation.
                            It is a loss for Indian people who is educated who is doing reservation ONLINE.
                            We had faced many problems. Our journey date is 04.01.2012.
                            This is happening in India that's why India is still technologically behind from other countries.
                            We are paying the additional charges of Internet Reservation then also the E - ticket is meaningless when the chart is prepared.

                            Today also Indian Railways are not favoring technology and giving importance to old structure of ticketing which is standing in the Queue even if the person may be the Senior Citizen or may be the Lady or any handicapped person.

                            Please don't trust Indian Railways...

                            The amount deducted from my Bank account is Rs.650/-, After confirmation in my Bank Account Entry, the processing took long time and the ticket display did not take place. Now the amount is deducted but I do not have ticket in my Booking History.

                            Please arrange to either get me booked ticket or refund the amount deducted from my bank account.

                            Bala is absolutely right.

                            It is a horrible way to treat e-ticket holders.

                            I had a similar bad experience that my current WL number had come down from 50-60 or so to just WL2 few hours before journey. So i set out for the station (takes me about 90-105 minutes) . When i reached there & checked the charts, i found that people with current WL upto even 100 or so had got confirmed, whereas my WL 2 had got deleted at the time of chart preperation simply because it was an e-ticket !! I had to go back all the way, as i did not want the tension of being a ticketless travellor.

                            The Railways can very well upgrade/automate their programs so that at the time of chart preparation, pending WL tickets are confirmed in strict sequence - the status will get automarically updated, so there is no question of anyone being able to cancel the e-ticket thereafter !

                            I had a similar Horrible experience today morning...you guys not gone believe me that my WL-1 and that got cancelled after chart been preparation. i was shocked and i didn't know how to react at the moment.

                            Railway Rules Maker Plz either you make changes in ur protocol that WL should not book online or else plz consider the e ticket WL as a GNWL.
                            If the Government has given equality to the E- Ticket with the tickets which are booked in the counter then they should give the equal treatment to the
                            E- Ticket WL as with the tickets booked in the counter.
                            If the facilities are given by the rail government then why should the customer opt for it, so certain steps should be taken in this regard, that the WL E-Ticket should be given same refrence as that of the tickets booked in the counter.
                            True. The rule has to change. I had a Waitlist 2AC e-ticket and the same did not get confirmed at the time of chart preparation, even though the status was WL 6 . I hoped that it will get confirmed to RAC. But it did not. . I also came to know that the PNR generation is diiferent for e-tickets and counter tickets and preference is first given to counter tickets in WL category and not e-tickets. Hence if you have an e-ticket with WL status, don't book it. The possibility of it getting confirmed to RAC or confirmed status is rare. If that is so, then Railways should remove the option of booking WL status tickets from the e-ticket module.
                            If the facility is provided, let the people use it fully... else close such facilities.

The payment of Rs.247 has been debited through SBI-ATM-Debit Card.I have verified my SB account with SBI,Peelamedu, Coimbatore. The amount of Rs.247 has been debited to my account.
                            After payment procedure, one message was appearing instead of Print Ticket " .....at one time'

                            I strongly accept your point, afer all every one of them booking the ticket are human beings and i dont know wat kind of difference it makes by putting this rule in place.I storngly object this rule, want my goverment to take this as a request and consider waiting list E ticket as a valid one/Else atleast let me know wat is the reason for this rule.Each rules and regulation should have its own good to people, but in this rule only i can see the bad things to the people.I am writing this mail with my personal experience(Carried E ticket waiting list for a travel unknowingly) on one of my journey and got down from the train after boarded

                            I am trying to book ticket in IRCTC.co.in in tatkal -online for last few days, but I am not successful to book a ticket,
                            Website should be improved to bear a trrafic and a number of requests.
                            I also in favour of the complain.
                            E tickets should not be cancelled. If the persons wants to go urgently then what he will do..
                            He will be simply ticket less this is ridiculous.
                            I am of the opinion that e-ticket should also be cancelled online by the passenger who booked it online. Indian rlys should not cancell it automatically if it happens to be waiting and not confirmed till date of journey, and as such the waitlisted e-ticket passenger be treated as with ticket as like other passengers should be kept in Q of waiting list till he himself cancells it, and not automatically

                            Dear Sir,

                            I want to make strong complaint against the waitlisted IRCTC ticet. This WL ticket is issued while booking and even chart preparation, if the ticket is still on waitlist, this get automatically cancelled. The passenger may think that during the final chart preparation this ticket will get confirmed. Unfortunately, if this is not thecase, the ticket get authomartically cancelled the passenger will not be able to use this ticket for his travel. At this juncture he maynot be able to get a waitlisted ticket from the Railway booking counter and he can get only a general ticket. With the wiatlisted ticket if he approach the TT if for any cancellation comes, he may get a chance to allot a seat, considering the wait listed ticket. Therefore it is suggested that wiatlisted e ticket should also be allowed to be used for travel. This is my earnest request and hope you will consider this.

                              I have booked my TDR against my ticket(PNR no. - [protected]) on 10th of October 2009 as the train was late by more than 3 hours. But still I didn't get my refund.
                              No. of times I have send mails and called IRCTC customer care. I got same reply every time that they don't know the exact time of refund.

                              After so many days, lastly today I got one mail from IRCTC, giving excuses as:

                              Dear customer,

                              Sorry for the inconvenience. Kindly note that your refund case of PNR No. [protected] has been forwarded to CCM/NER Railway on dt. 22-oct-2009. Refund yet not received from concerned railway, so we are sending a reminder with all the papers pertaining to your refund case to concerned railway on dt.17.02.10 to chase up the cases. As soon as refund, if any, received it will be credited to your card account.

                              I couldn't understand,what are the processes that IRCTC is doing that takes too much of time?
                              Nobody is there who really can take care for all these happenings?
                              Or, IRCTC wants to earn more and more interest from customers money?

                                dear sir, i have booked an e ticket for PNBE from NDLS for brahmaputra mail on 17 feb at 2250 hrs. and the money was deducted from my SBI account but ticket was not booked. a sum total of rs 695 was deducted. my user id is abhimax19. i request you to please look into the matter.

                                IRCTC on line reservation — money deducted without reservation done

                                I was trying to book ticket (from pipariya to ujjain ) through IRCTC ON LINE BOOKING on 9/01/2012 and 11/01/2012 Both time mony deducted from my debit card , without successful booking of ticket.

                                Detail of both transaction.

                                (1) On 09/01/2012 mony deducted from my PNB debit card rs.492/- at 07:06:02. .I already complain to bank help line and they reply that this problem is from IRCTC.(from pipariya to ujjain)

                                (2) Today once again i use IRCTC on line reservation facility to book ticket (from ujjain to vadodara), and this time also my mony deducted from SBI debit card without successful transaction. Txn NO.[protected] on 11/01/2012 Rs.554.

                                  COMPLAINT: WE REQUESTED 5 TIMES TO THE EMPLOYEES FOR A KETTLE OF TEA BUT THEY DID NOT GAVE US THE SAME AND AFTER COMPLAINING THE MANAGER OF PENTRY CAR HE DID NOT TOOK ANY ACTION AND ALSO DENIES TO GIVE US THE COMPLAINT BOOK OF RAILWAYS.

                                    I had booked a ticket for a journey from Lokmanya Terminus to Chiplun by Matsaygandha Expresee dated 12/02/2010 through IRCTC.

                                    There were 4 available seats in 2nd AC. As 5 of my family members were travelling the 4 of the seats were confirmed and the 5th was wait listed as WL5.

                                    I had a query regarding why the 5th person was wait listed as 5 and not 1 or RAC, I called up the IRCTC chennai helpline (as no one was picking the call on the delhi helpline, the phone was just ringing).

                                    The customer care executive wasent even bothered to listen to my query and constantly kept repeating "call 139". I even tried telling him that there was no way i can get this query answered through 139, but all my efforts in trying to even talk were in vain. There was no answer to my query till the end.

                                    It was an unexpected and pathetic service experienced.

                                    I would not recommend this service to anyone else from now on which i used to do before

                                        I have booked ticket on 08.04.2012 to chennai to Rajahmundry in circar express train, the ticket was suspended with out PNR number and the amount of Rs.267.00 was deducted from my Debit card and debited in my account. till date i waited for credit of amount but not done by irctc, contacted our bank not responded and say they don"t know any thing about. It was a surprise to note why these railways are looting like this.
