PAID ALMOST DOUBLE !!!

I planned and booked my domestic flight tickets a month early in order to coordinate my international trip. Now 3 days ahead of my flight I am realizing that I paid almost double the regular price fare by booking early. Even if I cancel (pay Rs 3000) and rebook I can save a few hundred rupees. If I had a choice I would cancel indigo and travel elsewhere.

Why would you charge so much for advance booking in the name of Dynamic pricing ???

I have been in the trading industry for 25+ years and very well understand demand and supply based pricing but what I see at Indigo is plain malpractice !!

    Refund of ticket

    Hi Team,
    I writing you to ask for my refund as I booked a ticket with Flight 6E6915
    Flight date on 5th Nov'2024 with PNR P7C53E and Seat 8A.

    It was showing Services DFNS anf at check-in they asked me for defence or dependent ID that I didnt have as I said my father is retired from Ministry of Defence but they didn't allow me to get check in as well they asked me take a fresh ticket and they commented...

    Dated 30.11.24, i Aman Gupta along with my wife travelled on flight no 6E 6552 from Lucknow to Chandigarh. Ticket is attached. PNR is Z3G73T. One of my luggage got damaged during handling by the airline. I am very disheartened to see the condition. I am a frequent flyer on your airline and have never experienced such a thing in the past. Photograph of the damaged wheel and luggage tag is attached herewith.

    It is requested to kindly acknowledge receipt of this email and process the refund as per your standard protocol.

      I wish to complain to Indigo and consumer forum with reference to the following: Indigo Singapore officials did not let me board my flight from Singapore to india while I was holding a e visa falsely claiming that Indian Immigration officials have strictly instructed them to not allow anyone with an visa to not board flight all they have a return ticket. The airport officials did not allow me to board flight till the last minute and I was forced to book a return flight on Indigo. When I embarked in Kolkata Airport and asked the Immigration, they clearly and categorically denied having such rules and circulars. I was on the flight from Singapore to Kolkata on 28th September 2024.I am looking at being compensated for mental harassment at last minute, false claims quoting the Indian government & compensation for the tickets

          Let us start with some background. 1. On 17th July, 2024, I had booked flight tickets from Durgapur to Madurai on 3rd August (PNR Q3S7NA), and Kochi to Calcutta on 10th August (PNR WRVRXL), so as to travel to Kodaikanal and Munnar. 2. On 31st July, 2024, floods and landslides occurred in Kerela. 3. On 1st August, 2024, I received the Red Alert from the Administration of Kerala and the properties of Munnar and Kodai requesting not to travel. I incur a cost of INR 3, 854 to reschedule both my inbound and outbound flights. All I could have done is to park the tickets at a later tentative date incurring a cost of INR 3, 854 and then again to reschedule with INR 4, 000 when things get back to normal, or incur heavy charges of INR 7, 996 to cancel the tickets. 4. On 1st August, 2024, I booked separate flights to Udaipur from Durgapur and back - PNR Y7RFXH and T3NYWD. 5. On 2nd August, 2024, at 6:13 PM Indigo notified that flight 6E 5131 scheduled to fly from Durgapur to Udaipur at 9 AM on 3rd August, 2024, is cancelled due to inclement weather. Thereafter, I immediately proceeded to book a flight from Kolkata to Udaipur on 3rd August (PNR TZJP4J), and made my travel arrangements to Kolkata. I shelled an additional INR 1, 972 on flight and INR 4, 500 on travel to Kolkata. Now, when travelling to Kerela/ Munnar has resumed, I am planning to utilize the flight tickets I already have with Indigo. However, Indigo is again asking me to pay and additional INR 2, 886 to change the dates of my flight from Kochi to Calcutta (PNR WRVRXL), and to cancel my flight for INR 3, 998 from Durgapur to Madurai (PNR Q3S7NA) and book separate flight from Calcutta to Madurai incurring additional costs of flights. I would have travelled to Durgapur Airport on 3rd August for my flight from Durgapur to Udaipur via flight 6E 5131; but you cancelled the flight due to weather. At the same time, you insist that your flights were operational in Cochin Airport on 3rd August although people cannot travel from Cochin Airport and Kerala being under Red Alert. You cannot have two different kinds of logic for the same situation! If I were changing dates because of some other reason, I would have changed as per my availability and paid the fees for the same. However, I am sure you are intelligent and considerate enough to understand that, in this case with limited time and uncertainty I cannot reschedule my tickets to a confirmed date but only to a tentative date. Hence, I request your good office to not hold further additional charges and help me to reschedule my existing flights - Calcutta to Madurai on 7th October and Cochin to Calcutta on 15th October. Given your logic that "your flights were operational at Cochin Airport", please refund me INR 6, 472 which I incurred to book a flight from Kolkata to Udaipur on 3rd August 2024 (differential fare of INR 1, 972), and to travel to Kolkata to board the flight (fare of INR 4, 500), after you cancelled flight 6E 5131 scheduled from Durgapur to Udaipur on 3rd August, because the roads from place to the Durgapur Airport and my vehicle were operational. You and your team are also ignoring the fact that on 1st August, I could not decide when I can travel to Kerala and pay additional charges to reschedule. All I could have done is to park the tickets at a later tentative date incurring INR 3, 854 and then again to reschedule with INR 4, 000 when things get back to normal, or incur heavy charges of INR 7, 996 to cancel the tickets. Sure, you may take charges to reschedule as long as customer is doing that under personal reasons not when there is some natural disaster at play. I have already paid once to salvage my tickets, charging me again is outrageous and unprofessional at the least. Kindly refund me the sum of all the differential costs I had to pay. Thank you.

            I had cleared all security checkpoints at T2 Delhi airport and was finally boarding the flight when the indigo staff there asked me if I wanted to give my cabin suitcase for cargo hold. I denied and told them that I had important documents in the bag but shortly after that they had already put a luggage tag on my suitcase, and I had to give my bag for cargo hold. This had me anxious and stressful throughout the entire flight. I do not think it was necessary to take my bag since clearly a small cabin luggage 7kg and a handbag which can fit under the seat are allowed per passenger. This last-minute instruction/action caused a stressful flight for me. I hope the necessary measures are taken to ensure this doesn't happen again.

              Unfortunately, due to false promises made by your team regarding arranging an alternate flight and the subsequent cancellation, I, along with around 500 other passengers, was forced to endure over 24 hours of waiting at the airport and an additional 5 hours inside the aircraft.

              This experience caused significant stress and inconvenience. Your staff member, Mr. Moiddin, personally assured me that I would be compensated for the trouble caused. I have attached a photograph of Mr. Moiddin for your reference. He Said indigo gives compensation if you do not give me full refund or compensation then i file Legal proceedings on indigo.

              Additionally, I was forced to book an alternate flight through Air India, as per the attached which cost me ₹149, 000. The original flight cost with Indigo was ₹49, 000. Therefore, I request a refund of the difference, amounting to ₹100, 000, along with the previously mentioned compensation of £1, 000 for the loss and suffering endured.

              And Also my beg are damaged.

The booking was canceled without my consent and without any notification being provided to me. This action is a clear violation of my consumer rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

                  Due to the late departure from CCU, I missed my connecting flight from Delhi en route to IXC. Now they are refunding me the base fare. I had to book a bus ticket that costed me 1260 rs, eat at roadside dhabas among strange men. I travelled to IXC at night. Roaming the streets for a bus since I had to reach by morning 7:00 am. Last time I checked there was a Nirbhaya case in Delhi. My family, my in-laws and my parents, everyone was restless and worried as I travelled alone in the dead of the night. I docketed a complain at Del airport and the were very cooperative. Now when I am asking the customer care to attend least refund me my extra 1800 bucks spent that night, they are denying.

                    Dear IndiGo Customer Service,

                    My name is Zainab, an undergraduate student at IIT Guwahati, and I am in dire need of your assistance. On 21st July, my train (Ranthambore Express 12463) from Kota to Jaipur (PNR [protected]) was delayed by 5 hours without any prior notification, resulting in my missing two crucial flights: Jaipur to Delhi (6E 2176) and Delhi to Guwahati (6E 2289).

                    I never anticipated that IndiGo, an airline I once trusted, would profit from the misfortune of its passengers. In previous journeys, I was met with excellent care, but this time, the disappointment is staggering.

                    Despite my meticulous planning to arrive at Jaipur airport 2 hours before departure and my constant communication with IndiGo during the ordeal, no assistance was provided. Even after informing IndiGo 3 hours in advance about the inevitable miss of my connecting flight, I received no help or cancellation options.

                    I have submitted a refund request through the booking portal but have been met with silence for over a week. As a student, this financial setback is crushing.

                    I urge you to intervene immediately and ensure I receive a full refund. It's disheartening to see a trusted airline prioritize profit over passenger well-being. I am attaching my payment invoice for your reference.

                        My name is Shubham Kumar Srivastava, on 16th july 2024 I was travelling from lucknow to leh via delhi through indigo airline with flight No.6E5082 (lko to delhi) and 6E 2049(delhi to leh) and my PNR-SV7Z2Z. I got my luggage submitted at indigo bag drop and got my self security checkin and boarded the flight. When I reached leh in mid afternoon i got information that my luggage is still at lucknow airport and indigo did not board that.Today is 3rd day and i am continuously trying with leh indigo and lucknow indigo to please send my bag but they are not doing anything.I work in armed forces and my base is 300kms from leh. I am requesting my seniors to let me stop here for some days so that i can get my luggage then i will report to my unit.I am barely surviving here, wearing same cloths for past 3 days.Every day is getting worse for me please do whatever it takes but at least give proper information to your customer and connect with each other because at Lucknow it says that the system is showing that the bag has reached to leh and leh airport says we didn’t receive any bag yet and Lucknow airport is not even reaching to delhi airport airport for any further details .Now i am badly stuck in between, please sort out it’s hampering my duty and it can get even worse for me.Thank you

                            I was traveling from Baku to Delhi Via Doha and when my bag was received broken

                              Unable to generate travel certificate

                              I booked an air ticket in indigo. However, I have misplaced my boarding pass which I need to submit in the office.
                              I have been trying to apply for travel certificate from indigo airlines website but every time I am trying to request the travel certificate it is showing the below mentioned error:
                              please enter correct email address.
                              I have tried with multiple email ids, but the same error is popping every single time....

                                  I vinod varghese, the customer who travelled in indigo6E678 from cochin to mumbai for business purpose with my partners.i was booked three seats for travel.as per the information its departed at 5.30pm from cochin and arrived at 7.30pm.as per this i was planned my jorney with connection flight from mumbai to jaipur via UK 518 vistara flight.but the indigo started their journey only after 6.10 and arrived at 8.15pm in mumbai.due to this we missed the flight and suffering the finanacial loss.(24000)so I need to refund my amount of ticket fare fully and need the compenasation for resolve this issue.kindly do the needful otherwise i need to go to consumer court for justice

                                    My son boarded flight from Nagpur to Mumbai 6E5002 PNR-JZLERG
                                    His luggage did not reach Mumbai rather it was sent to Guwahati.
                                    He boarded morning flight as he had some urgent appointment over there, which he missed as all the papers were in his Luggage.
                                    further had to urgently buy the clothes from Mumbai.
                                    Kindly let me know how to get refund for the same.
