I have applied for MTNL broadband connection a month before but till today they have not installed or provided connection. Each time I visit MTNL Nerul (Navi Mumbai) office, they give me a reason that my telephone line is not O.K and they will rectify the problem as soon as possible. The phone number provided by them doesn't answer the call, and if at all they pick up the call they provide me the different number of sub divisional engineer or ADSL people and they again tell me to meet some one who is never present at his desk. The work order department[protected] doesn't even know how to behave or answer the call. She is too busy to reply or forward my complaint to the respective department. Sub Divisional engineer[protected] only says that connection will be established tomorrow (which tomorrow , no body knows). Each time I have to take half day from my work and go to MTNL Nerul Office just to enquire status of my application. Does anyone know how to get work done from this pathetical unproffessional people.

the service was great at nerul branch.. it has become pathetic now. My connection had to transferred from sector 20 to 50, but it is 2 months now and still they say we will get it this week.. the new divisional officer is truly pathetic.

    I have similar problem (my connection is 1 1/2 year old)ph number 268438xx and it happens every month but after sending mail to gm then only it rectified mtnl field staff are too bad and they don't want to work

      Hi,

      I have been using MTNL broadband connection for last 1.5 year.
      Phone number - 28334375
      CA number - [protected]
      But for last 2 months, i am facing a hell lot of issues with the connectivity and the speed problem.
      I have raised more than 50 complaints on internet as well as on 1504, but nothing happens.
      My plan is that of Rs 649 per month.

      On this plan i am getting a download speed of just 8 kbps, which was earlier 60kbps.

      I have spoken to the Section supervisor too and he gave me this email id and asked to tell him if didnt get any response and submit a letter to the SDO office.
      Also the net goes down too frequently
      .
      Please do the needful asap as it is very frustrating.
      Kindly increase the connection and download speed of the net.

        I installed my MTNL Broadband Connection on 30th March, 2010.
        It worked for about an hour or so and then its not working at all.
        I have lodged complaint many a times, but there is non-compliance of all the complaints lodged.
        I'm giving details of all the complaint lodged with MTNL below herewith :

          Hi,

          I have been calling MTNL helpline for over 18 months to get my internet connection fixed. The connection keeps disconnecting frequently. The technicians who answer the call are clueless and keep telling me that the modem is faulty. I have had so many complaint numbers however, everytime when I call in, they are unable to locate my call. Infact, now they dont even answer the call, the phone keeps ringing and gets disconnected.

          I also called to check the current speed of my connection. I was told to be online while the same is being checked. For 20 minutes I stayed on phone with no one on the other side. I called back and again the same thing.

          I really want to reach out to someone who is a regional head to make him go through the same experience and question the quality checks that is being done on this team. It simply is a time waste talking to them and there is no one to complain.

            On 26 Dec' 09, i went to MTNL Office to get the new connection for MTNL Broadband Service & that time they ask me to deposit 500 Rs for the same. i have deposit the same to Company. after 03 days i had received a call for reconfirmation the details & they told me that within 02 days Lineman has come give a connection with Handset & Modem.

            But as of now i didn't get any connection & when i registered a complaint then they told me that there is a pending bill on your father's name.

            please help to on this matter.

              I had sent a complaint to MTNL Vigilance through the Website on[protected], 00:07:15

              "My Trump Balance was reduced by about Rs.50 on Mar.5 between Noon and Midnight, without being used.
              I booked 2 complaints Nos. CC[protected] and CC[protected], but they were both closed as resolved!
              I suspect MTNL employees of diverting funds from my account to theirs. Please Investigate."
              The complaint reference number is 78232 for tracking above complaint.
              Obviously, I do not expect MTNL to cheat its customers.
              I am writing to you though the amount is small, as it could be part of a much larger Racket, and request you to ensure suitable action is taken at the earliest."

              When I did not receive a reply, I sent email copies with a reminder to :
              1. Shri Peeyush Aggrawal, Chief General Manager (LS)
              2. Shri Bhim Singh, General Manager (Vigilance)
              3. Shri Rakesh Tumane, General Manager (Finance)
              4. Shri Satyapal Singh, General Manager (Central)

              I finally received their clarification as under:

              "From the attached logs, it can be seen that the subscriber has opted
              for the bidding service for premium Dolphin/Trump numbers. For this
              the user had logged on our homepage (http://mtnlmumbai.in/ ) and
              selected the link for premium number bidding. After this a validation
              key is sent to the subscriber on his mobile thro SMS. When he logs in
              again with his username and validation key as the password, a sms from
              [protected] is sent to deduct Rs.47/- as the charge o[censored]sing this
              service.
              Therefore the amount of Rs.47/- was charged to him for the usage of
              bidding for premium numbers.

              The matter rests with my clarification as under:

It is sad and surprising, heartening to note the same. I . I want to put my grievance and complaint on record. Pl. refund the excess charges collected by You.

              4 every execuitve have attitude that he working in goverment service thats why he not to need to understand our problem. he have talk less, un helpfull, attitude, and workingless. and also not making proper solution by them how this possible without any confirmation and such a knowledge.

              5 every one executive depend on each other . he transfer every call to another executive to solve during customer call but customer not have any time to talk with them with his own and proper issue.

              6 every solution must be done by only call executive and also he must have all knowledge of mtnl services.

              The proble which have face all of customer of MTNL customer i have also face this problem.

                  I have registered to pay my mtnl landline bill through ICICI online bill pay. First two months bill not uploaded and i had to pay the bill manually with penalty of Rs 10 each time. When complaint to ICICI they said it is fault of mtnl, due to not uploading the bill it could not paid on time. After lots of complaint and written complaint bill for next month got uploaded and paid on time. But this was for just one month as next month again bill did not uploaded. I chose this service for automatic bill will be paid but now i think it is even easy to stand in queue and pay the bill. Response from ICICI and mtnl when complaint are not good. I would suggest them not to offer such service which they cant manage.

                    I have a broadband connection on my MTNL land line, just received a bill from MTNL for the for the month of February station broad band charges of over Rs 5000/-. I have been using this connection for over one & a half year and have never got a bill for broadband usage more than Rs 300/-. Met the concerned engineer at the Jogeshwari Exchange on level 2 and he logs into his system and tells me the usage has been made by you. I tried reasioning with him that i can see usage happening past Midnight & early morning where heavy downloads of over 500 MB happens. to this he says that it seems that you have downloaded. I told him that the modem & pc are off for days without being used and still there is Broadband down loads happening. I also told him that if i were to be downloading such heavy files would'nt I take an appropiate plan (plans for unlimited usage start from Rs 495/- per month), I am not a fool to unessairly pay such a high amount of Rs 5000/- when there is an option to pay Rs 500/- per month for similar usage.

                    I feel that the MTNL engineers are into a racket of misusing the customer accounts for high revenue gains
                    Please let me know if I can get some help and advice on what i should do next.

                    MTNL TRIBAND SERVICE — Unable to get Services

                    I Jalpa Shah would like to put a complaint that i have faced a poor customer experience and a absolute rubbish service from MTNL Triband for my internet services .

                    I am unable to use my services since 20/10/08 and have lodged a complaint (no-1248) and was given a SLA of 48 hrs however its still not resolved and even after talking to the customer care rep there is still no help ?

                    Please guide me?

                    MTNL Triband Service — Poor service

                    I had a tele connection from MTNL Delhi, 28033037. The phone was dead for more than a month. It all started with disconnection of broadband services, followed by No line (Dead) connection. All Complaints from all possible sources could yield no results. Finally when I approached MTNL to disconnect my number, it was connected, but not to my place, i.e someone else was found enjoying at my cost. I reported the matter and asked the exchange for complete disconnection of services.
                    To top it all my tele bill reflect usage of 291 units. Not one used by me, who else has been using my erst while phone then. This time no billing details is also attached with my bill!

                    Can some one help.

                    I want immediate confirmation that my number has been disconnected for good.
                    I also want to know, what action has been initiated against defaulting officials.

                    MTNL — TriBand

                    about an year ago I bought the TriBand Connection from MTNL. Initially the connection worket at the promised speed of 200Kbps. But after some months the speed dropped to mere 20Kbps.
                    there has been no response from the company even after frequent complaints. after every complaint the employee says that the complaint will be looked into.
                    but is it really looked into or is it that it just looked into and not worked upon?

                    Will there be any need to lodge a complaint with the Consumer court or will there be a solution without any legal action?
                    I have complained in the head office. The manager has told me that if you see MTNL broadband tarrifs carefully, you will come to know that the speed offered is 256 Kilo bits not Kilo bytes which comes out to be 26 Kbps. They are such big cheaters.

                    MTNL — Triband connection

                    This is regarding for getting a broad band connection which is waiting for last five months. I have made so many complaints to MTNL. No body is responding to my complaints. Once I have gone there personally, then they said within a week will get the connection. After that they are not at all responding. My details of application as follows.

                    Hi, I am the broadband user of MTNL service, I hardly use their net of not more than 1 hour in a month but then too I receive the internet bill of not less than Rs. 4000 /- Also the speed damn pothetic its not what it says 100 Mbps.
                    I also just got a bill for Internet of over Rs 4000, though Internet/phone line service was dead for more than a week and my computer was not working for about another 3 days.
                    Looks like there is a very clever, billing computer error designed to rob/loot people.

                    Triband — Bad Service

                    I've purchased a triband 512 kbps connection, and am really disappointed with the services that are been offered.
                    The connection was working superb only for the first two days, after which the connection was down for a day.
                    On lodging a complaint, a person from the telephone exchange called up to verify the complaint, after which the connection was working fine for about 2-3 hours.
                    Now, its been the 3rd day that the connection is down. Sometimes, intermittent connectivity is provided.
                    Upon lodging a complaint, I've been told that a complaint has already been placed, and that the issue would be resolved.

                    I dont understand how are we supposed to lodge a complaint, if the IVR does not allow us to lodge one.
                    Secondly, I dont understand why do I have to disconnect my main telephone line for connecting to the internet (whenever it's available)... I'm paying for a broadband connection, and not for a dial up. I do expect my phone to work, when I'm on the internet.

                    This seems to be a fraudulent publicity for Broadband.. when actually the meaning of Broadband is not understood by their own technicians....

                    I would really expect some action on this...
                    If no action is taken, then I would really appreciate if my internet connection is restored, and works as expected...

                    I was out of station and used skypee for 10 minutes. My stabilizer was out of order and can be seen from billing of my "Senior Citizen Plan" that only 23 calls were made and billed. Kindly investigate and get the bill for tri band rectified, as I was getting tri band charges @150 / month. the amount was built is 864.72 for tri band subscription which is out of my reach is four times higher than my regular billing. kindly rectified and inform at < [protected]@yahoo.com >

                    hi ,i am azhar sayyed,i am using mtnl tri-band service from past 1year.actually problem started 10days ago my line got disconnected due to rain.it was completely dead line n still noise is coming.and in spite of complaining many times i didn't get respond.and above that 1day i called in the office and that guy gave me my area engineers no. n i called him and asked to come,he talked to me very rudely and set i dont care when i will get time then i will come.his name is PRASAD.i am really frustrated now what to do.i called them 100 times but that guy isnt ready to come.please do something.and one more thing when u will apply for new line these area engineer ask for BRIBE .extra money which company says free connection.

                    MTNL DELHI Land Line & Broadband A Great fool — DEAD PHONE

                    My Telephone & Broadband connection is disturbed since 6.10.2011 for which i had made several request to several authority but still unattended.

                    If any person is going to subscribe MTNL he will be great fool.

                      My broadband is not working properly since last 2-3 yrs. I keep visiting MTNL Dahisar telephone exchange and it works for some days, then again the same problem starts.
                      The ADSL light normally is absent. Can i have a permanent solution to the problem,

                      Nowadays i have started recording my complaints, but for last 2 years i just used to complaint and there used to be no action.

                      Above are the dates and complaint numbers, i don’t know who closes the complaints, but 2 days later when i still have a problem, i have to re register the complaint.
                      The ADSL light not present is persistent since last 3 yrs. The problem is on and off. Sometimes there is an issue, sometimes it starts working. However the service is not reliable at all. I can never be sure if the service will work when i reach home. For last 3 yrs, i have paid close to 25000 Rs as my bill payments, for a service which is not working.
                      Visits to MTNL Dahisar telephone exchange are useless. Either the person to be contacted is on outduty call, if at all i am able to meet him, he says he will take care of it and send some line men. But the SERVICE of BROADBAND just remains AS it IS.

                      My broadband ADSL has not been working from Friday the 6th Feb 2009 afternoon. My compaint number is 6883. I have been making repeated calls to MTNL but so far no change in status as on Feb 10th 2009.

                        Against my telephone no 26025372, past several years I am using MTNL broadband service and against my telephone no 26025468 I am using MTNL wifi broadband service. During the past one month both the services are in pathetic working conditions. Repeated complaints have yielded no result. MTNL is quick enough to give the complaint number and equally quick enough to "close" the complaint without attending to the same. To check the connectivity when I run Ping it shows either Request Time Out or Destination Net Unreachable. To add "salt to the injury" now the both the telephone numbers have gone "dead". MTNL may launch new products, new services but would some one advice them that to keep alive and competitive one has to provide service. Unfortunately, it is Incredible India, where a consumer (moreover a common man) is always at the receiving end. Services are available to people only with "contact/s". Jago MTNL...Jago !!!

                          I have been using mtnl for last two years and one thing always giving me problem is the frequent disconnection of internet. Although it improved for past few months but since they started on the new minimum 512kbps speed programme, my internet keeps on disconnecting every 5 mins or whenever there the phone rings. MTNL are the poorest and filthiest internet service providers. All these mtnl guys can do is just give you a complaint number and sit back and relax. I kenw they'd give me a complaint number, so when i called them up two days back i was bang on correct. They handed me a complaint number. What more is filthy about them is that sometimes the linemen would call you and ask "kaunse floor pe hai aapka ghar?" I mean this is ridiculous. If we live on 4th floor with no lifts, then it is our fault that we are using mtnl. Can anyone do something about it??? I have heared of RTI complaint. Can i file it?? if yes then how???

                          MTNL Triband Services — Triband status disconnected always

                          I, undersigned Mr.Amit C.Merchande is resident of Bhayender (E).My CA.No. is [protected] & telephone no. 28192229.
                          This is regarding my Triband connection which is always disconnected. It has been 2 years or so since I've been availing this facility. But most of the time my internet connection doesn't function at all. From time and again I've brought this thing to the notice of the concerned authority but in vain. I think the entire system is least bothered about this. Every time I register a complaint, I only receive the complaint no. No further action is being deployed. In course of frustration asked to withdraw the connection but was refrained by the MTNL saying that the waiting list is too long & that I won't get re-connection if required in near future.
                          But I earnestly request the authority to look into the matter & kindly solve the prevailing problem for once & all. I just want to remind you that how come ur governing body does not fail to dispatch the bill on time whereas be incompetent in solving the problems of your customers.
                          What's the use of paying just monthly rent without having the privilege o[censored]sing them? Am I wrong?
                          Hope you derive some of your precious & valuable time to read this out & make some amendments in your approach at earliest.

                          At the end I just want to say that I'm only a simple person who requests you to help me out. Due to my working hours I cannot visit your office.

                          Hope you understand my problem & shall be generous enough to co-operate with me.

                          MTNL Triband — Frequent Disconnection

                          Sir,

                          I am using MTNL Triband from past 2 Years. But from past 4-5 months it is been extremely unbarrable to use the Triband. It disconnects very frequently say 2 minutes max. I have filed complaint to customer care 3 times all the time some one calls back & says "This is cross connection problem we will try to resolve it & no one gets back.

                          MTNL — recurrent disconnection

                          Land line and internet are being disconnected time and again from June, 2010.
                          there has been no connection on the following dates:
                          12th to 17th June, then 27th June to 7th July.
                          after repeated complaints by telephone and in person, problem still seems to persists. visiting the mankhurd branch, the staff are so casual about the work. yesterday, after talking to many staff members it was decided that the connnection would be restored on the same day itself. although, connection was received, but it was intermittent and finally by 18:00 connection was lost again. repeated attempts to call mr Gawai (in charge of complaints at mankhurd) on his cell number resulted in him not answering the phone. many complains were also registered on their complain numbers 198 and 25552198

                            I have been paying all the bills before due date for more than 20 years.I contact the neary by MTNL division but they where not intented to entertain my complaint as after 25 days of making them oral notice but no action has been taken so far.Today I have also Filed an written complaint but I have no faith for the action will be taken for my complaint.

                            My phone no. 22306241 and internet is out of order since[protected].
                            I had booked complaint with no. 1066 dated[protected] for no dial tone. No body has attended till now.
                            It is observed that the complaint which I had registered earlier in last four months regarding noise or faulty telephone instrument These complaints were cleared by your office himself without attending the phone. Now telephone is completely out of order since last 18 days.
                            It is threfore, requested that the fault may kindly be rectify immediately and the amount of faulty period may kindly adjusted in next bill.

                                Sir,
                                I am Deepa garg, Residence of Tri Nagar, phone no.[protected].
                                I am having problem with its broadband services. They did not offer the speed and the connection get disconnected frequently.

                                This has become the strategy of MTNL of making money.

                                they did not offer the speed as mentioned and it often get disconnected frequently.
                                this is not only with me. But are doing with almost everyone. They are taking advantage
                                of consumer ignorance for their services.

                                As per my plan, I should get the speed of 256KB/S but i was getting only 33KB/S.
                                after complaining here i am getting 64KB/S. This is not only the problem. Connection get disconnected frequently. So please help me and others, as there is need for immideate action against MTNL.

                                I, Narender Kumar Gola, have a broadband connection no.[protected]
                                with a Combo plan. I have also same type of problem like other complainers in connecting the internet. After making so many complaints on 1504 no. but No one cares. Yesterday I send a complaint to My area manager Mr. A.K. Sharma by e-mail on [protected]@bol.net.in.

                                One side MTNL do advertisement to show their services far better then others and another side does not solve the complaint of their customers, due to this reason the MTNL customers are surrending their connection and taking private service provider's connection

                                Can my complaint be solved ? or I should also surrender my connection

                                  Dear Sir/Madam, My Telephone no 28988872 having Broad Band Connection since last 15 years, since last four weeks ( more than 26 Days), it has frequent disconnection , I have called up 1504, they adviced me to book MTNL complaint no 198 & their person should be there in house to repair or check Modem.I have booked complaint both on 198 and MTNL Borivli Shimpoli office telephone number.every time, some one calls up me ans asking me status of the connection, but no proper connection done & no one came to my house
                                  Please advice now with no coonection or frequent disconection, my work is getting affected

                                  My landline no.is[protected] & i am facing lots of problems while using broadband, my connection is weak, it takes 2-3 minutes to load a page, also my downloading & uploading speed has been reduced to 30 kbps while my plan is of 256 kbps.
                                  I had complained in mtnl office which were nearest to me & from where i had taken the connection but still they had not solved my problem, they also suggested to complain on 1504 & 198 customer cares numbers which i had done & it had been 2 days still there is no feed back to my problem.
                                  I want solution on my problems & my issues should be solved by mtnl.

                                    I applied a new telephone line & broadband service for my home on 9th March 2010. On next day MTNL Line man came at our home & installed the device. After installation they asking for money to start the phone line.

                                    On 10th march we received the conformation call from Ghatkopar exchange that your Line has been start & billing period has been activated, But again the after 30 minutes phone has been dead & not yet been working.

                                    Requested you to look in to the matter & take the proper action aginst the same.

                                      MTNL-CDMA Mumbai( GARUDA ) dissconnecting telephone services all of sudden without any instruction to subcibers. This are happenning regularly and every month. No body senior officers bothered to attend any of acctual troublefull system to all subcribers for favouring of other PRIVATE TELEPHONE COMPANIES.The call center 1502- the only complaint booking authority for CDMA also refuse to book the complaint and ask to CUSTOMER to visit personally at BKC.If any guidelines for challaenging in COURT or CONSUMER COURT,Pl. mail the details......[protected]@rediffmail.com

                                        Dear Sir /Madam,

                                        This is to bring to your notice, the trouble I had to face recently while applying for Triband (495 Unlimited Combo Plan). I live in Rathodi Village in a rented house which is near Jankalyan Nagar (Malvani Fire Brigade). On 6th of March, 2010, I called on[protected] to enquire about the plan and its eligibility if any. A lady attended the call and when enquired; confirmed that the service is available in my area and asked me to collect the application form from the counter in Malad. When I asked her name, she confirmed that she sits at counter number 4 however refused to give her name. She also asked me to be ready with 3 mandatory documents; NOC with notary, rent agreement and identity proof. On 8th of March, whole day I ran around and made the NOC skipping my work. When I went to submit it to Malad center on 9th, to my surprise, I was informed that I need to visit Kandivali center. Helplessly, I went to Kandivali as instructed to find out that they do not provide Triband service in my area. That was enough to take me on a hell ride. However, Mr. Ghosh at the center was nice enough to make me sit in his cabin and explain me the reasons which went over my head as I couldn’t make out any logic.

                                        Now my question to you is, if there is no service available in the area mentioned above, why on earth I was not informed on my initial enquiry? Secondly, why advertise behind all the B.E.S.T buses that run to and from Malvani bus depot, Marve Rd and Jankalyan Nagar where you do not even have the facility? It should be specified under conditions or atleast on your website where Malad is shown as coverage area. I think its high time, MTNL atleast try to follow BSNL who provides internet service in remote areas of states like Bihar and Assam where people do not even have proper road connectivity. My motive is not to disgrace your enterprise but to do a reality check. It hurts my pride of staying in the most developed metro city in the country and also makes me realise why private providers are flourishing.

                                        I request to you to provide me a clarification on this and a commitment on when will you start working on it and make the service available. I am saddened by the fact that I am loosing out on an apt limited offer Triband plan that suits all my needs. I also want to know if I will be able to book the plan for future use or will I be considered eligible to avail the same plan whenever your services will be available. Hope to get a prompt response.
