SIR, MY LAND LINE No 28387264 IS DEAD FOR THE LAST 7 DAYS. I SENT MAIL TO HELP DESK AND ALSO LODGED COMPLAIN WITH 198 BUT TILL DATE THERE IS NO RESPONSE NOR THEE FAULT IS RECTIFIED.

My landline No. is 28426429 and I had paid online the Bill No. [protected] dated 08/07/2009 on 28/07/2009 three times (by mistake the bill paid of amount Rs. 1090/- 2 times by Axis bank and one time by Bank of India) one payment was reversed in my axis bank account. One more amount of Rs. 1090/- to be reversed in my account.

I had already complained to MTNL office at Goregaon (W) in writing, they told that the amount will be reversed in due couse. But the same is not done by till date.

I had surrendered my Telephone No. 2364883 on 15/2/2010. Mtnl owes me more than Rs 50000/- which was deposited with MTNL in the Voluntary Deposit scheme. MTNL is just delaying to pay the dues they owe to me. The phone was installed in 1975 as OYT General category. We have been playing all the bills regularly and there is no dues whatsoever. I am a senior citizen. The accounts department just says no refunds as this is OYT General Category. I request to let me know what are the refund rules of the deposit I paid.
I am afraid MTNL Is just delaying without any reason since a good sum is lying with them as voluntary deposit. They are forthcoming in helping a customer but just delaying. Can anybody help how to get my refund.

    I always receive two bills in a month. So far I have paid them all but I wonder how? 5-6 days after paying the first bill another bill comes in the same month.
    I asked for itemised bill but they dont oblige me.
    Authority may look into this and stop profiteering by fooling the user.

    विषय: हैरत अन्गेज़ रूप से ज़्यादा डाल्फ़िन बिल भेजने सम्बन्धी शिकायत – डाल्फ़िन मोबाइल सन्ख्या ९८६८८१३२५४ व ९९६८६६३२५४ (जीवन साथी प्लान)
    श्रीमान,
    मेरे पास लैन्ड्लाइन फ़ोन (२७०१८२९८) के अलावा दो डाल्फ़िन के नम्बर भी है जिनका नंबर ९८६८८१३२५४ व ९९६८६६३२५४ हैं. इन दोनों डाल्फ़िन नम्बरों का इस्तेमाल केवल इनकमिन्ग काल्स हेतु ही किया जाता रहा है या फ़िर कभी बेहद ज़रूरी काल करने के लिए ही किया जाता है.

    डाल्फ़िन नम्बर ९८६८८१३२५४ तो एक साल पहले लिया गया था और पर बेहद कम काल्स करने के बावजूद भी काफ़ी ज़्यादा बिल आता रहा है. इस बारे मे अपने नज़दीकी सरस्वती विहार सन्चार हाट व रोहिणी सन्चार हाट मे कई बार शिकायत की है पर हर बार एक ही उत्तर मिला कि ’इस्तेमाल करोगे तो बिल आएगा ही”, पर इस पर किसी ने भी गौर करना गवारा न किया कि बिना काल्स किए बिल क्योकर आ रहा है. फ़िर इसके बाद से हमने शिकायत करना ही बन्द कर दिया. पर एक शिकायती पत्र २०.१०.०८ उनको भी लिखा है पर उन्होने आपसे सम्पर्क करने को कहा है.

    २-३ महीने पहले मैने अपनी पत्नी के इस्तेमाल के लिए एक और डाल्फ़िन नम्बर ९९६८६६३२५४ केवल इनकमिन्ग काल्स हेतु लिया और पहले हफ़्ते तो जोश-जोश मे ५०-६० रूपयो की काल्स कर डालीं. पर फ़िर मेरी बदकिस्मती कहिए या खुशकिस्मती कि मेरे मोबाइल का ’डिसप्ले’ खराब हो गया जिसके कारण मोबाइल नम्बर इस्तेमाल के काबिल न रहा और पूर्ण-रूपेण इनकमिन्ग काल्स तक ही सीमित रह गया. पर महानगर टेलिफ़ोन निगम लिमिटेड की मेहरबानी देखिए कि, उस महीने भी १०२/- रूपयो का बिल ही भेजा गया, है न हैरत-अन्गेज़ कारनामा.

    और अब अक्टूबर माह मे इस बिल के और भी बढने की आशंका है, क्योकि इस महीने मेरा उपरोक्त मोबाइल फ़ोन ही गुम हो गया है और मैने टेम्पोरेरिली इसका सिम भी बंद करवा दिया है.

    अब तो हर हालात मे मुझे “दाल मे कुछ काला” नज़र आ रहा है, यह सब महानगर टेलिफ़ोन निगम लिमिटेड(?) की मेहरबानी से ही हो रहा है कि बिना काल्स किए ही इतना बिल आ रहा है. आप से तत्काल कार्यवाही करने की उम्मीद से ही मै यह शिकायती पत्र आप तक पहुंचा रहा हूं इस आशा के साथ कि आप दोषी को तत्काल पकड कर सज़ा दिलवाऎंगे और जान्च करवाऎंगे कि क्या पिछ्ले कुछ महीनो से जान बूझकर गलत बिल भिजवाया जा रहा है या फ़िर मेरे नम्बर का ही कही दुरूपयोग हो रहा है. इस तरह की शिकायते मेरे कई दोस्त भी कर रहे है जो कि डाल्फ़िन के उपभोक्ता हैं. इस तरह के गडबड-घोटाले से महानगर टेलिफ़ोन निगम लिमिटेड के पहले से ही घटते उपभोक्ता नेटवर्क पर और ज़्यादा असर पडेगा, जनता को पहले से ही सरकारी सेवाओं पर पूरी तरह से यकीन नही, इस तरह के गडबड-घोटाले से इस अविश्वास मे और भी बढावा होगा. धन्यवाद सहित,

    BUT PAYMENT SHOWN IN NOV BILL IS Rs 1197 WHICH WAS FOR ANOTHER PHONE NO [protected] WHOSE DUE AMOUNT WAS 1197.
    2. 2ND. is[protected] BILL OF PHONE WAS Rs 1197 AND I PAID 1197 BY CHEQUE ON TIME.
    BUT PAYMENT SHOWN IN NOV BILL IS Rs 160 WHICH WAS FOR ANOTHER PHONE NO [protected] WHOSE DUE AMOUNT WAS 160.
    NOW PROBLEM AROSE OF INCONVENIENCE, FINANCIAL CONSTRAIN AND SURCHARGE OF Rs 40 DUE NON OF MY MISTAKE BUT MISTAKE OF DATA ENTERY OPERATOR WHO FED THE AMOUNT IN MY ACCOUNT.       sir this complaint is regarding all the users of mtnl having a night unlimited plan.
      sir we are asked to switch off and on our modem at 12:00 midnight and before 8:00 am so that we are not charged for the usage. although i am unable to understand when the technology is available then why dont mtnl does it in the billing automatically.why should we always keep it switching on and off if technology is concerned then why dont my usage doesnt gets charged if i switch on before 8:00 and use during whole day and switch of after 12 .

      mtnl is already taking deposit of Rs 500/-for router on the top of connectivity charges while providing the connection for triband .Monthly rent is being charged Rs 80/- +service chargeof 10.2 % MY connection has already completed more than 2 Yrs &the cost of router is only Rs 1450/-in the open market. Howlong the MTNL WILL loot the subscriber and is it not against the consumer right ?.will the MTNLstop charging rent after the recovery of the router cost is over?

      i dont understand what is wrong with MTNL TRIBAND billing system. inspite of less usage the system produces unexpected bill.. we have complaint for it n number of times. the month we complaint and its following months it shows norminal bill again after 2 to 3 months the same huge bill and to my surprise the usage reading also shows the download when the computer is switch off this came to the notice when i realise that the download that it is showing is the time when there is no electricity and the computer is shut. as i do not even have an usp to keep it working. there really needs to check out what the problem is all about
      you cant keep the consumers cheating with such bills

      Mtnl-triband — Cheating

      Dear Sir,
      I had taken Internet Connection on 26th Jan 09, they told me that download means saving any matter on the computer initally. But whaen I checked my account they have accounted even for the surfing done, the total download shown was approx 1400MB in 5 days. When I checked with the service engineer Mr Darji Tel.ph no. [protected] He says that once we start the net any file u open is accounted as download which is ridiculous. I checked with my friend in Vashi having the same connection there download means the data saved from the net on one's computer.Can anyone explain me what is Download according to Mtnl

      Hi,
      u are right.there is no. o[censored]nauthorized usage of broadband connection in mtnl and especially if it is new connection.and i[censored] report mtnl officials will turn deaf ears which shows their involvment.
      i was given modem which was not mtnl stamped and later they were refusing to take it back.
      my usage details shows 64 mb usage in just 36 mints.
      later i found the solutions.
      after taking connection first thing u should do is:

      lock ur telephone by using dynamic locing facilty
      124 (code) (code)
      code is 4 digit u want to keep
      all calls lock 123 code 4
      open 123 code 1/0

      second change modem password which is by default ur ca no.

      go to register.mtnldelhi.in
      then open ur 192.168.1.1 for delhi which is modem configuration and change the password with same as register.mtnl.in

      also change password at view bill segment of mtnl web site.

      I HOPE EVERYONE SHOULD DO THIS AND STOP UNAUTHORISED USAGE BY MTNL OFFICIALS.

      MTNL Triband Inet connection — Over Charge for usage

      The bill for september month is atociously High while it has to be only 10% of what it is showing. I am sure It can not be this much.

      This is my third month going since i started on this service. For the first month also bill was too much but still since we were unaware for the details of the connection i paid the bill but this month bill is even almost 180% of my first month bill.

      I've written mails to Mtnl over this.
      No response. They however did admit that that are deliberately shutting of the Internet every 6 hours for 3-8 mins. I fail to see a logic behind this except to discourage unlimited plans.
      There is no question of excess usage if the plan is unlimited.
      Data package plan users Donot face this issue.
      This techinal constitutes denial of service for which we are getting charged.

        I AM SUFFERING FROM INTERNET SERVICE OF MTNL. THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING THE PROPER SERVICE OF INTERNET, BUT THEY PROVIDED THE FULL BILL OF IT. I AM DOING REGULARLY COMPLAINT OF IT ( 25TH SEPT 2008, NO. IS 867) PHONE NO. IS 29964851 NAME OF INDERJEET.
        THEY ALWAYS SAID YOUR CABLE WILL BE STOLEN AND WE CANT PROVIDE INTERNET TO YOU.
        CAN I SAY THAY, THEY CAN ONLY GENERATING THE BILL REGULARLY.
        PLEASE SIR LOOK THIS MATTER PROPERLY RESOLVE IT AS EARLY POSSIBLE

          broadband unlimited — about the replacement of the connector box

          i am sumeet sharma, I have installed the mtnl broadband unlimited internet connection at our home. regardless of the comlaint and regular reminder my problem of the replacement of the connector box. is this the way they treat their customers. we go for the mtnl as we thought as it is the largest service provider in delhi so we trust them for the good service.

          MTNL — broadband speed problem

          my internet speed never comes above 256 kbps and i have enrolled for the plan of 2 mbps(speed normally comes around 220 kbps). I have talked to your engineer, he said that might me your PORT is not opened for 2 mbps. please kindly look into the matter i am complaining about it from the past 2 months, but no action has been taken yet.

          There is no problem here...I too have an unlimited connection. The thing is connection speed is divided by 8. i.e. if you have a 256Kbps connection, the download speed you should get is 256/8=32Kbps. Every broadband provider provides connection like this.

          During first month MTNL provides 2Mbps that is why we get 200 kbps download speed, but subsequently they change to 256 kbps.

          I faced this problem too and i changed to airtel but they too do the same thing.
          i ve unlimited pack of 750 per month 256kbps speed but i can download up to the speed of 15 to 25 kbps thats all pls do suggest me to increase my speed level..

          i also faceing same kind of problems in my MTNL net and now i am going to file complain against MTNL in TRAI (Telephone Regulatory Authority of India). if they also not able to help me then i file a case against MTNL in consumer court. so i request all o[censored] to join hands and file a compalin in TRAI (Telephone Regulatory Authority of India). i promise TRAI (Telephone Regulatory Authority of India) can solve ur problems.
          People, try this.
          Use Download Accelarator PLus(DAP) or Internet Download Manager(IDM). THey are download accelarators that have helped me a lot. I have th unlim. plan too, nd th download speeds are just below 32 kbps. But with DAP or IDM, my download speeds occasionally go up to 70 or even 80 kbps. U can dwnlod DAP for free.

          I am facing the same problem since 2 Feb 2009. I complained 2-3 times but no improvements in speed. MTNL has the worst customer care.

          I got this connection three months back. It worked fine for three months.

          Three days back, my connection stopped working and when restored... it is providing a speed worse than a datacard. I am getting 8-10 Kbps on a broadband... SHAME for MTNL.

          It takes ages to open a google homepage on this net now.

          Instead of various complants registered this time, The Broadband connection is down for the last 10 days. I am told that there is some connectivity problem with the server at the MTNL end, which I wonder why has not been resolved for so long.

          To dealing with the complaint your attitute is not appriciated kindly make some effort as per market standerd to be in the business.
          256 kbps means 256 kilo BITS per second not 256 KBps or KILOBYTES per second. If you were getting 256 KBps in 256 kbps plan then it was an error which has been rectified and you should get under 32 KBps. Computer programs measure speed in KBps while isp shows in kbps. Think before y ou speak chutiyon.

          MTNL Broadband — Non Working Broadband for approx last 2 Months

          I am a customer of MTNL No 28034586, cutomer number [protected] since last two months.For last 45 days plus the broadband is not working.

          I would like to state that I have personally complained on 1504 numerous times. The person Mr Mohinder kumar who looks after Broadband at Dwarka, New Delhi, hasn't turned up even once during last 45 days of complaining. Mr Arora, GM, West1 who sits at mayapuri was met personally regarding this.He promised to look into it, however he also seems to part of the government system.His orders to PA and other officers have fell on deaf ears. His behaviour is not becoming of such a senior post.

          Please help me. I am not going to pay any more billings, though I have been paying for last two months without services.
          I understand that the calculation of 256 kbps comes to under 30 kilobytes/second, however its very wrong to initially provide high speed, then suddenly cut it down. I had installed MTNL unlimited 256 on a temporary basis and was satisfied with the speed, which is why I cancelled other lines, now I cant get my work done because its hardly 25 kilobytes/second.

          Even my previous MTNL connection, 590 NU, was 256 kbps and I got 200+ kilobytes/second. Now why would they give you higher speed than required there??

          Techncialities are not the consumer's lookout, he chooses based on what he sees, and this is clearly malpractice.

          18-22 kbps on downloading single item.I m facing this problem from 3-4 months. I can't see you-tube & other videos without pause.           Its a depressing experience with MTNL broadband. I only wanted the contacts information's till PM and president with Ministry of telecom India. We need to teach them a lesion for the service. Damn...
          There is a problem here. You will lose the case if you file a consumer petition. That is because MTNL advertises 256 kbps which is 256 Kilo BITS not KiloBYTES. and when you say that you are getting a speed of 30 Kbps download, you are talking of KiloBYTES and NOT KiloBITS. Theoretically, 256 kilobits/sec=32 KiloBYTES/sec so your speed is fine.
          It is true that after around 2-3 months, every MTNL connection becomes slow but it is because in the beginning we get the speed of 2 MegaBITS which is equal to 256 KiloBYTES/sec but after some time it comes back to what it ACTUALLY should be.which is 256 KiloBITS or 32 KiloBYTES. So you all are getting what you are paying for

          MTNL — not providing promised speed according to TRAI

          i have done various speed test and speedtest.com at various times i get maximum of 350 kpbs...
          my plan is 512 kpbs... according to the company MTNL they have given a note that according TRAI provider must provide 60 % more speed that is 800 kpbs which they are not they have also said the speed can go down by 15 %due to traffic that is 400 kpbs thi is also not been provided i have made 18 complaints to be preciese but nothing happened even after promised by them i can even provide screenshots and stuff...
          for the first 10 days i got 900 kpbs now its down 200-350 kpbs depends on time ...

          NOTE all speeds are in kpbs in KB i get max 30 KB/sec instead of promised 75 KB/sec according to TRAI 150 KB/sec and traffic 60 KB/sec none is fullfiled please take the necessary actions ...

Initially, Me too have an unlimited 256kbps plan...I got 2Mbps+ speed for first two months, then it depleted down to 32-32 kilobytes per sec, which is horrible to see, but when i looked into my plan it was just 28.8 Kilobytes per sec... They give high speed for first two months, so that we get a habit o[censored]sing the internet, & make it a part of our daily usage.. But as soon we get addicted to it, MTNL knows that now we won't go anywhere & they decrease the speed... & Most o[censored]s do not change our ISP just because the speed has been reduced... Cos for first 2 months they cuddle the customer, giv them the luxury & after 2 months when the customer is addicted to it, turned into ordinary, it hurts but this is a business for MTNL...           Hi, I am having internet problem from last 10 days, and I have written 3-4 complaints at mtnl customer care. But each time they are saying that we are re-forwarding your complaint and doesn't do anything.

          256 kpbs mean 256 kilobytes per sec. this the speed of the isp only the coustmor get only speed which is connection speed/8 = download speed 256/8 = 32 is your download speed if you are not getting then downlaod internet down load manager it will ful fil your speed or some times beyond 32 kbps.
          agree with all above. i am also facing same problem since last 20 days they are making fool to innocent people. i also complaint 15 to 20 times but nothing happen. they are cheater. my mtnl no. 24055303 and mob.: [protected]. can any budy have a solution of that.

            Slow Speed — MTNL - INTERNET

            I have been using the MTNL Internet since 6 month and found that the Internet speed is very slow from 2 month, I took the plan of 512Kbps and getting the speed of 120Kbps. and when I try to open www.Microsoft.com, www.facebook.com are not to open properly. I am not able to browse the Microsoft web site too, even I am not able to login to windows messenger or login hotmail.com.               That I am Dr Anil Thakur writing this mail on behalf of my wife with user details of MTNL phone and BB as above.
              1. That on 5th October also I submitted a complaint via mail about the misbehaviour of a person at 1504 customer care call cetre. See below alos that details
              “ That on 5th October I called 1504 at 6: 58pm and person who attended phone was abusive and not complying with customer care . He refused to tell name and threatened me of dire consequences if I dint hand up phone. He disconnected phone. Later repeated attempts to call at 1504 lead to talk to another person Mr Alam at around 7: 10 pm. Kindly let me know who earlier misbehaved with me as I wish to meet preson who dare to tell me to meet with dire consequences thus reflecting customer care at MTNL and goondagardi there.”
              2. That despite being such grievious nature of complaint no reply has been given to me by any of MTNL officials .
              3. That I wanna know if MTNL officials don’t wanna intervene then they should be open to give me option to lodge an FIR against the guilty.
              4. That at least MTNL wud have helped me to identify the culprit coz it is only by MTNL machinery who knows the workshift of their officials that I can locate that official and I have given you minutest of details of my call as above also and previously also.
              5. Also to add that I have been suffering from worst imaginable BB services by MTNL.
              6. That I have been promised by SDO Rajauri Garden[protected] ? name Mr Gosain that my connection willl now work properly but again as usual alse promises like leaders and other govt officials none have been done.
              7. That either MTNL should stop spending advertising good services regarding speed and accessibility of MTNL BB or should give consistency in services.
              8 That by proving your services at customers end will help govt keep its image clean and later can justify croroes of rupees spent in advertising.

              9 That its more then 8-9 months regarding frequent interrupted services of MTNL BB by MTNl; an dits now beyond shame that still you are getting idiotic services when you never know whether BB will work or not next moment.
              10 That rather now if we comp-laint on customer4 care 1504 rather get threatening that hang up phone . Is this the new way of MTNL to improvise their functioning of BB.
              11 May MTNL be kind enough to tell me when they would be able to give stabilized services and if yes or not.
              12 That my earlier mail has also not been replied. May I know why .
              13 That can I get the name of guilty and lethargic officials of MTNL leading to all these delays under RIGHT TO INFORMATION please. Necessary fees for postal order likes may be added as an expense in my new MTNL bill.
              14 Hope this time MTNL people will wake up and do the needful.
              Note An printed version of this mail is also being sent to Minister OF I & B New Delhi through courier with request that guilty officials may atleast be given warning to work efficiently or should be shunted out of services.

              Well I agree that the mtnl customer service is not a good customer service as compared to the customer service available to consumers in other countries like usa and uk, and is also not close to that provided by ICICI bank, as per my personal experience, I also have problems with mtnl, many times they hang up as soon as the call lands to an executive, and I had made a booking for a plan change on 24/1/2009, which I tried to cancel after 2 days, but they said that now it cannot be done over the phone, may I know the reason for that ? If I can request a plan change from my phone then why can't I cancel that request through the same channel, they told me to go to sanchar haat, OK I agreed, I went to sanchaar haat. Now the sanchar haat people were there to surprise me, they said that they cannot cancel the booking done at 1500 service, but when I told them that I have been advised by customer services to come to you then they asked for proofs that I am the account holder, I submitted the proofs alongwith the request to change my plan or cancel the previous request, they did something on 28/1/2009, and when I called them on 30/1/2009, they told me a request has been made but the details of which cannot be checked and would only be available in the next month, WHAT IS THIS ? this is an example of poorest information management, and moreover mtnl has this great policy that a plan can be changed in a new month, and today when I checked my plan, I found that it has not been changed, so all my efforts went in vain, MTNL the sarkari company, will it ever be able become a professional company ?

                The broadband at Delhi MTNL Phone No.[protected] in the name of Ratnesh Kumar Mishra R/o- C-15/16-2, Hastal vihar, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-110059 is disturbed due to vMac problem since[protected]. I have called the customer care for at least 50 times.But no solution has been provided. I am unable to do my online works. I get several types of reply like...
                * Call to 1514 ( From there I get the reply How dare u call here. This is for employee only)

                * Your connection will be ok today. ( From 4 days today has never came.

                * you have changed your password ( In fact I haver done this. However they have reset the same 4 times.)

                and so on.

                What should I do.

                  Always we receive the bills after due date, thus we have to collect the duplicate bills from MTNL local office prior to due date and we always pay our bill via CITIBANK online payment system before due date.
                  After all efforts to pay the bill before due date, MTNL block all out going call or disconnects all phone lines, when we ask them about the problem they tell us that they have not yet received our payment and if we have done the payment then we should produce the proof.
                  From last 4 month we are submitting the proof to reconnect the phone lines.

                      Dear sir/madam,

                      As applicable from the 1st of September MTNL BROADBAND announced an increased 200 MBs for the "DSL_199_256kbps" PLAN, i.e. before that there used to be an allowed 400 MBs for the Rs 199 plan but from 1st September they increased this limit to 600 MBs.
                      But when i checked my account for the left MBs of the month, around 118th of this month, i got to know that i have been allotted the same 400 MBs only for the month.
                      Then, as usual, i complained for this on MTNL BROADBAND CUSTOMER CARE NO. 1504. The person there understood my problem but still just blamed that on other departments. When i demanded him for that department's number he didn't even give me that. Then i got that number from directory helpline and called there. But the result and attitude of those people towards solving my problem was the same, and even their way to talk wasn't humanistic and they clearly refused to do any thing in my case.
                      So, sir/ma'am please help me regarding this case and please grant me to have those MBs in current and future times.

And making lots of complaints, there is no solution. These illeterate fools and don't even know what's broadband and why people require speed.                         I have 1000/- unlimited plan of MTNL broadband. Initally it was working fine. Now it has stagnated. The speed is not good. It takes 1 min or more to open up a page and now it is not working for 2 days. I have tried to connect to customer care but with no help because no one is responding the customer care calls.
                        Also, earlier once when it did connect to the customer care. The male executive was not helping instead he was discussing his personal talks with the people I could hear in the background and I was kept waited for 30 mins.
                        MTNL service is becoming bad to worse.

                        I have an MTNL[protected] broadband connection with Tri Band Combo Unlimited Tariff plan.I am getting a very slow speed of only 30~34 kbps while other people with same tariff plan are getting 240~254 kbps.I have compliant the MTNL officials but they dont response.
                        My Mumbai MTNL nos is 26797350.
                        My tel bills were coming from 1st of every month at 2 month intervals.
                        My Broadband was started on 25Oct for Rs.199 with 500MB download.
                        So they raised bill from 25Oct till 30Oct09
                        So they charged Rs.33 for Rentals and charged a hefty Rs.282 in usage charges.
                        I asked them to take full monthly rental of Rs199 for 5days - even then it falls cheaper
                        Till 8Nov09 my usage was only 400MB.
                        They keep saying that it is a policy decision. Nobody can do anything about it.
                        Is there any email or officer to whom we can complain?

                        I know it is useless ... but can anyone help me?
                        mtnl has eaten up all the money i had given up as deposit. the lineman disconnected my services and i got a bill of 1100 thaT month when my phone was dead for 20 days. my billing trend was arond 500 for all the months before july 2009 when this happened.
                        latest I have got plan of 1MBPS..speed should be 130kb..but getting 80kb should is worth to pay Rs 2100 per month.
                        I have a problem in line also but botbody bothers..

                          I am using MTNL Broadband connection.From last 5-6 Months I am facing problem in Internet connection, some times It gets Connected or some times not .Most of the time its ADSL link continously blinking due to which I am unabel to browse any site. I have registered my complaint many times in MTNL via call center but still problem is same.My Telephone number is[protected].

                            Sir,

                            I applied for 250 COMBO Plan in the month of July and the phone was installed on 31st July 2008 (phone no.[protected] and the lineman once gave a call from the pole to ensure that the same is working or not. Immediately after his call on that very day it was DEAD, which I informed to the lineman and he promissed to start again but till date my phone is DEAD. I have made several complaints in thsi regard but in vain.

                            Futher, since I applied for COMBO Plan, internet also is needed along with the phone. Since 31st July I have been following up but MODEM has not been installed at my place. In thsi regard I had complaint to Mr. Dutt, Secretary to GM (Commerical), Mayapuri Exchange, thrice. He informed that since there is shortage of MODEM, we are unable to provide the same. I asked him that "I have applied for COMBO Plan and if MODEM is not available, there is no fun putting a dead phone at my place because my main requirement is internet".

                            Quite interestingly, for a dead phone, MTNL has sent me Bill. I ask you, why should I pay bill for a dead phone and a plan which has not been installed yet. I need internet urgently, but even after making many complaints, it has not been installed.

                            I request you that NO BILL should be charged for the period it is dead and till MODEM is installed. Bill should be sent from the day MODEM is installed and phone starts functioning, means COMBO works.

                            Kindly do the needful and oblige. Do revert back.

                              I applied for transfer of my ph (no.[protected] from Kulupwadi to Vasant Marvel, both place is at Borivli (E), on 18.6.08. The ph was finally transferred after numerous follow up (with new no.[protected] on 19.7.08. Further, a complaint was also given for replacement of faulty instrument which was finally done on 6.8.08 and I was able to use phone. After the information from a/c department on 9.9.08 that recorded date of transferred connection is 18.6.08 and one bill is pending for payment, I gave application on 10.9.08 to Mr Vidhate at Magathne exchange, for rectification of my connection date and thereby bill. Now on my return from outstation tour I realize that my outgoing calls have been suspended without information. I am yet to receive revised bill. It may be noted that one bill was already paid on receipt.

                              Kindly let me have the revised bill for payment and restore my suspended outgoing calls immediately.

                                I have applied for broadband connection 2 months back. I am trying to call them just to find the status. Whichever number I call, they ask me to call the other number. After dialling 5/6 different numbers, I reach a number where they don't pick up the phone. So basically I end up in deadlock. Once I called them around 1 o'clock, that customer service lady directly told me to call after 2 PM since she was having her lunch. If you ask them their names, they just tell you they are not allowed to tell their names. I think this is the worst customer service I have seen so far. I am not sure if the management even looks into these issues.

                                Dear Sir,

                                I received your bill no [protected] dated 06/01/2009 for the supposed internet use during 01/12/2008 to 31/12/2008.

                                I wish to inform you, if you are not yet aware of this fact, that, you have disconnected my telephone no 26858743 from Nov 2008. No incoming calls were allowed since that day. As the line was completely dead, I believe that there was no internet connection available to us. Hence, there cannot be any claim for internet use.

                                While on this subject, I wish to inform you that early in 2008, you barred all outgoing calls from this telephone because I disputed the bill for Feb 2008, which I haven’t received till date and which showed on internet a charge of Rs. 4492. I demanded the details of the calls supposed to have been made from my telephone during the relevant month of the bill. I did not get this. I was made to run from one of your offices to another such as one at Gokuldham, other at S.V Road- Goregaon West, another at Nirlon complex- Goregaon East, one more at Pinky Cinema, Andheri East and still one more at Bahar Cinema. Ultimately I received a statement at the last mentioned office which stated that all the charges made were for local calls of which no details could be given, unless demanded IN ADVANCE. Which meant that there were a total of 2769 calls made in 29 days, approx 95 calls made every day, that works to 286 minutes each day. If this does not sound absurd, what will?

                                To make the analyses simpler, please find below the details of the local calls, STD –ISD and the bill amounts from Jun 06 for your ready reference.

                                I could provide the details right from the installation of the phone about 5 years ago, I have given the above details only as an illustration.

                                From the above table, you can make out that the highest number of local calls made in a month was 369 in Oct 07. Hence, our hesitance to pay the bill claiming 2769 local calls.

                                I hope you will take a reasoned decision based on the above facts and send us a revised bill so that we may make the payment and also you can restore the telephone operations.

                                I made a complaint to the Chairman-cum-MD MTNL in April, 2009 that in our areas bimonthly telephone bills are not being received by at customers' address due to which most of the subscribers have to pay the bills with late payment charges. Even sometimes the telephone connections are disconnected for non-payment. Moreoever the personnel attending the public/subscribers misbehave with the public. UNFORTUNATELY, no action/response has so far some to my notice. Furthernore the MTNL repeated the same tradition of non-sending the bills in May, 09, too. Thanks to the HoD for encouraging/promoting the trend.

                                  In past 6 months, I have registerd compaliant's number of time, things get sorted out but after some days it get occur again.
                                  I am not getting for which i am paying for.
                                  I am really fed up with this SARKARI structure. This forum is last option for me, If still things wont get sorted out than I like to discontinue it.
                                  I have MTNL triband combo plan 599 Rs./- unlimited. For last few months I am unable to get proper service from MTNL. The service is sucking me up. It is the kind of company which tries to make fool its customers. When I tried to register complaint number of times to customer care number (1504) they just held the line. This kind of activity is making headache for me. I am one of those millions of customers of MTNL who have been cheated by this company and we can't do anything in this regard.

                                  But one thing which I can do is to disconnect from this service.

                                  There should be some organization which can deal in this regard. There is TRAI but I don't know the method of filing the case against the company. If anyone knows please give me reply.

                                    we are also enjoying the IPTV facility provided in tri-band plan.
                                    while scrutinising our account summary history details, we have come to know
                                    that abnormal bytes are being consumed of our internet limit. The details
                                    show that the internet is being used for 7 to 10 hours daily, which we are not doing.

                                    is not understandalble. We apprehand that for what ever time we are using

                                    MTNL — MTNL Broadband and IPTV

                                    I personally think that IPTV service is a failure, being a consumer myself. In the last 5 months, there has been hardly a day when I did not face any problem. On lodging the complaint, IPTV people say everyhting is OK with IPTV its due to broadband problem and when MTNL is contacted they say everything is OK at their end its IPTV problem. I finally wrote to the head office but to no avail. My complaints have been closed without setting the problem right and I received a call from MTNL that your complaint has been closed as told by you, whereas I never said such a thing. Their representatives/babus have no ethics, no politeness, they talk as if they are providing these services for free. Their way of talking is very rude, they have no sense of responsibility and they are least concerned with consumer grievance, they are just concerned with closing the complaints received irrespective of whether they are actually addressed or not. I asked them to either address to my complaints or I do not want to continue with their services, so they disconnected my telephone, broadband and IPTV connections. You can now think what sort of service they are providing. This sort of attitude is not going to take MTNL/IPTV anywhere and they will lose their popularity, all their talks of quality and consumer complaint redressal are mere face wash and have no weight. It seems as if the MTNL babus independently decide to close the complaints, to save their jobs, without actually taking any action to address the complaints.

                                    MTNL BROADBAND SERVICE AND IPTV — NOT WORKING PROPERLY AT ALL

                                    Hi,

                                    This is Sanjay Kumar Jain. This is regarding the MTNL broadband connection. This seems to be a very disgusting service provided by MTNL. I am facing lots of problem with this since I booked this. After various calls made to MTNL and the numbers installation took place on 1st of November (Saturday). And after installation also I am facing lots of problem regarding this. Nothing is running smoothly. Even I called up the customer care number (1504) no one is picking up the phone. Then after getting frustrated by this I called up 1500 there a mam took the call and when I said that I tried 1504 lots of time and no one is picking up the phone, she simply denied with the fact that this can not take place as if i m lying and the way she said this was also in a very rude tome. Is this the service provided by this department? What a 3rd class service or I should say worst then anything. These peoples even don’t know how to talk to their customer.

                                    After, making various calls and various mails to this department i got nothing. Yeah, I have received a letter from the MTNL (G - Block Preet Vihar) on 09/01/2009. According to the letter, these peoples said that it has been confirmed from a lady on 3/1/2009 that the services which these peoples and their department is providing is up to the satisfactory level and we are satisfied.

                                    That day my sister picked the phone and she said that “her brother is not at the place and please call back after 10 mins, and confirmed that the speed of the broadband is still in between 190 to 205). Is this satisfactory for these peoples.

                                    What a Joke. I really think that these peoples out there are just coming to your office for time pass and for chatting. These peoples don’t know how to speak with the customer and this I can say with guarantee as I only received a call from their department and that person was using slang languages when I said that Airtel peoples are providing me better services.

                                    Today, I have received the bill from the MTNL and that cost more then Rs 1000. I had to make various calls to Mr. D.P Singh ([protected]) and to various officers of the MTNL to solve this problem. And because of these calls I m receiving this amount of bill.

                                    Further, I have told to call Mr. Jokhoo Ram (DDA Market, H PKT, Dilshad Garden, Delhi – 110 095) on 22572323. Whenever, I called him, he never picked the phone, as he don’t want to listen it only. Is this the service these peoples called a good and satisfactory service,

                                      I, Khurram Mashkoor, telephone number 26986252, had applied for a telephone transfer from batla house(okhla exchange) to shaheen bagh(sarita vihar exchange).
                                      The application was sent from okhla to sarita vihar exchange for appropriate action.Lineman from sarita vihar(telephone number[protected] called me up and confirmed about the address.He told me the adddress as B-129, 1ST FLOOR, THOKAR NO. 8, SHAHEEN BAGH, NEW DELHI -110025.But my actual address is B-129, 2ND FLOOR, THOKAR NO. 8, SHAHEEN BAGH, NEW DELHI -110025.Because of this 1st floor and 2nd floor thing, lineman asked me to rectify this mistake from okhla exchange.
                                      I went to okhla exchange and enquired about the problem, and they agreed that they misread the address in the application form and rectified the problem and gave me a copy of the transfer order with the correct address.Next day the line man again called me up from the same number and told me the address is still the same, i told him it cant be as i have the copy, but he refused to take the action.
                                      This time someone from the telephone number 26942727 called me up and called me to the office in sarita vihar.After a long enquiry i was being told to visit Mr Chander (telephone number[protected].after visiting him and showing the copy of the order he assured me of an action 10 days back.since then there has been no response from ur side.
                                      Sir/Madam, I have been an mtnl customer since 1986 at the same address, earlier it was in my father's name and now it is in my name bcause of my father's death.I work for jet airways as a cabin crew(id no.[protected] and we have to communicate with our base through email.i wanted an inter connection immediately and mtnl is the only option.It has been a lot of trouble for me and i want an action to be taken.
                                      Sarita vihar office has cancelled the tarnsfer and sent the file back .They say that i dont want th connection as the reason for cancellation.
                                      I dont know how but the system still shows my address as 1ST FLOOR as i do have the copy of address as 2nd floor! !!
                                      This confusion and carelessness on the part of your staff has created a lot of trouble already and u will lose another customer.
                                      i wait for a response from your side and giving my contact details below with both the addresses.
