I am not receiving MTNL bills from day of my telephone connection as a result every time I will have to collect the duplicate bill copy from MTNL website(online) /or pay the penalty for late payment. Also Wi-Fi connection is not working. I have complaint many times but no action has been taken.. My ph connection & Internet is temporary suspended. I have checked my bill online in cyber cafe and trying to pay online through credit card but I am getting the following errors.

"No response From Payment Gateway or URL not Found
Unable to connect to Payment Gateway. Please try after sometime."

I would request you to kindly post the bill as well as make functioning of Wi-Fi connection and also let me know when I can pay bill from MTNL website( online). I will be grateful to you, if you active my telephone connection asap so that I can continue using the MTNL services.

    Dear all,

    In response of the my previous mail some action has been taken place
    by MTNL for my complaint.I would like to share my experience after
    that complaint.It is kind request to pay some attention in the same.

    On 6th April 2008 I registered a Handset for Garuda ' Vidyarthi
    Plan'.I went for delevery on 7th April but could not get the delevery
    due to reason mentioned in prevoius mail.

    On 8th April 2008 visited there at 10 :30 am at sanchar Hut -Dabari
    Extn but due to nonavailibilty of Store Keeper could not delevered
    again.Mr Ashish[protected] recieved all documents and asked me to send
    somone for at 3 to 5 pm.When My father went for receive they simply
    rfuse by saying "issued handset not available here contact where from
    you get it registered.

    On 9th April 2008 I spoke to Mr Nigam at sanchar Hut he suggested to
    re-registration or coordinate with Sanchar Hut Dwarka Sector-6.

    On 10th April 2008 I discussed this matter to Mr. M. L. Kureel. He
    assured me that problem resolved soon and route me to Dabri Sanchar
    Hut again.

    Same day my father visit Dabari Extn for receiving and meet with Mr.
    Om Prakash.He again routed him to Mr. Vats([protected]) Dwarika sector
    6.Mr. Vats asked for coming tuseday for delevery but could not pay his
    promise.

    I am still waiting for delevery MTNL employee routing me here to there...!

    I am still following up for this but could not get my mobile which I paid for.

    Plz help as nobady is listening me ...!!!

    time is hanging over the gate written there Open from 9 :00 am to 7 :00 pm.

    Today morning when I visit the above location at 9:15 am no bady is there to
    assist me for my querries.when I asked to security person for the same he
    state that public dealing start from the 10:30 am itself.

    It is requested that everything should be clearly mentioned on the gate so
    that we can schedule our work accordingly.

    I applied a New Dolphin Connection from Sarita Vihar against my Account No. 9119240 Dt.[protected]. I had not yet get connection till now. I talked with your customer care No. 1503. Your customer care tole me between 11.00 and 11.30 I will get connected with MTNL Dolphin Network. Now 4.00 P.M.. I neither received any call from MTNL not received MTNL Network. This is your service which you are providing to the Customer which is radiculous. Such type of service if you are providing to the customer how you think customer will go long run with you.

    I purchased a recharge coupon of TRUMP value money of Rs. 340 (talk time Rs. 300) on 15th April, 2009 from Hauz Khas market. While scratching the card during the recharge the 16 digit number got deleted from the coupon. Immediate contact was made to customer care executive and I was informed about submitting the card to Idgah Exchange, Room no. 401, 4th floor Karol Bagh, New Delhi. The card was submitted to Mr. Veer Singh on 17th April, 2009 at 12.00 a.m. at Idgah Exchange. He promised that my number will be recharged within 24 hours. From customer care service I got to know that I have to just keep my serial no. of recharge coupon with me. No other such information was told to me. After 24 hours i.e. on Saturday I had again talk with the customer care executive they told me that Saturday is half day and till Monday you have to wait for your recharge. On Monday I waited till 4 p.m. i.e. on 20th April. At 4.15p.m. I made a call to customer care executive they gave me the telephone no.[protected] of G.M., MTNL Mr. B.L.Singh (C.G.O complex). I made a call to him too but there I had talk with a lady who in very rude manner told me “ki apko job hi karna hai kar lijiye, hum yahan se kuch nhi kar sakte aap Veer Singh se baat kijiye ” Beside this I was trying the landline no. of Mr. Veer Singh since morning but he didn’t responded me not even single time[protected],[protected]. If he is not responding on his phone then why such no. are give to customer for contact.
    indeed this is bad, when they hav networked system, and any window system in MTNL, forcing one to go IDGAH can cost ha;lf day and may be more of petrol thaan the cost of recharge card, when ever such scrach problem occurs, they must do either over phone, or by nearest sanchaar haat, the fact, that this can be done automatically, like, system will ask cell number, then, the serial number of card, and then the missing or rubbed numbers, and finally to test again ask customer to feed any visible number, say, he got scrached 13 n 14 digit, then he may be asked say puting any of the erest 14 say keyin 5th and 9 th digit, if he keys the digit, the rechartge should be instant and automatic, ONLY BECAUSE MTNL HAS OLD THOUGHT MODEL for solving this scratch problem, we customer face so much harrasment, as the petrol and time cost for me is much higher, i did not even bother to go to idgah, while i still have my card with me.
    I registered a request for installation of wii fii internet through my tel no;27890159 on 2 may 2009, reg id 48000118, and i was promised that the connection would be made within 7 days. But now it has been about 12 days and no action has been taken despite repeated complaints on 1500, who asked me to contact my tel xchange ...But the telephone exchange operator never picks up the phone...After reporting the prob on 1500 again they ask me to call 1504 .1504 ppl say call 1500 or ur tel xchange .How can i contact the xchange when nobody there picks up the calls .Pls look into the matter asap.

    the telephone is dead from about a month and not a single action has been taken by the MTNL department the people rely on MTNL thinking it as their source of communication but i think these people are careless and deaf to people's questions about their working .It is better we use mobile phones indeed ! at least on them we can rely.     MTNL Idgah Exchange Delhi - Customer Review

    This review is for MTNL Idgah Exchange, where i visited to get my Phone services disconnected as they were not up to the mark for past 4 months. Despite numerous reminders, when i got nowhere, i decided enough was enough.

    I took with me all the MTNL equipment and a handwritten application for service disconnection request. I reached MTNL Idgah on[protected] at 10:00 am and the Sanchar Haat hall was empty, i was asked to go to Desk 5, where a long list of must-do's awaited me for disconnection rules. I was given an application form and told to bring the registration slip issued 3 years back at the time of taking services, a pan card for signature verification and come between 3 and 5. Heck, its friday and how can i take off from office for something like this..

    Its not that i see then working. They are sitting "velas", doing nothing.With no choice, i left MTNL for my office and got an Affidavit made for loss of registration slip for Rs, 100/-. I got my PAN card copy and took an early leave from office to reach MTNL Idhag at 3:20pm. After showing the documents at Sancaar haat desk 5, i was issued a pass from next desk for Room 302 in the adjacent building where the process was to start.

    At 302 i was told to get documents signed from someone at Room 101. I waited patiently as i observed a slower than dead MTNL officer in 101 who was attending to someone who came ahead of me. It took him 10 mins to punch on his computer 2 phone numbers. By the time it was my turn, he opened his tiffin for lunch. It was 3:35pm! When i asked him for signatures, he was quite rude and told me that it was not his area and sent me to find someone in room 110. From there i went to 112, where the Divisional officer told me to go to 301 to get signatures, as without those, he won't sign.

    At 301, i met a decent chap, and i told him that i was totally frustrated with running around, so instead of making me run, he should sign and help me. He could sense my discomfort and signed, and asked me to attach the latest bill - payed copy, as otherwise it won't be processed. I went again to sanchaar haat for latest bill, only to be told that cash counter is closed! It was 4:00pm! The only window open was for cheques- and i thanked my luck that i had my checkbook with me. I made the cheque and submitted it.

    Sweating and huffing, i went back to 112, only to be told by the Divisional Officer that he can't accept my application as it states- services not up to the mark! Mr. Divisional Officer told me to take another form and write anything except that, else he won't sign it. He was sitting with 2 chamchas and told me that getting the phone working was his job and he will get it working. I told him, i was through with his services and do not want MTNL anymore. He told me he can do nothing in that case. I told him that if he does not sign on my application - as its my valid right to choose as a customer - i will escalate the matter to higher authorities, to which he said - "go ahead".

    This - told his chamchas in front of me that SDM, was particular about customer reasons for disconnect and this form was not appropriate to be sent to his office! This frog faced dimwit was just worried about his . Delivering services was not his concern. So long till the seniors did not get to know, was all on his mind. He next called the gentleman who had last signed my application and told him rudely that he should have read my application before signing and he should now be charge sheeted for this action. It happened in front of me.

    Never before i had seen such nautanki at such close range. I wanted to give this a punch on his face. Instead, I gave him a few verbal slaps. He was so gutless that he refused to give me his name of allow him to take his pic. Later i got to know that the person is on leave and currently person occupying his chair is Mr.Gahlot! MTNL sure knows how to find just the right for its high posts! They have the guts to refuse a customer if he is unhappy with services and chooses to disconnect?? What is this ?? British Era? This Divisional Officer seemed straight out of the ZOO!

    Angry and Frustrated, i came back to sanchar haat, where i was told to visit Room 202 where there is an IAS officer, young and efficient and it was the only place where work gets done. By this time i was totally worn. my 4th time back inside and 6 time going up and down made me realize a fact - This country is Hell. Its not just politicians, the administration is also crap. Such inefficient people gobbling up public money as salaries for doing nothing. All the rules for customers, none for them!

    At 202, it was a different environment. Clean office for a change. I sat down and told the officer's PAs all the issue, who called Mr.Gahlot and sent a peon with my papers and got them signed in 2 minutes. Mr. Divisional Officer had added comments that he had tried his best to "Convince" me but i did not relent! Thanking them, i next went to 302 from where i had started and got a hand written note for store in-charge, for return of equipment.

    To basement i went worried that its almost 5 and who works here this long, submitted the equipment and met 4 very humble and genuine MTNL workers, who listened to my ordeal and offered me some tea. I forgot all the issues and thanked them for being so humane. In course of discussion they told me quite frankly that it was officers like Gahlot responsible for MTNL being in the state it is today. I was now given a serial number for return of equipment.

    Again back at Sanchar Hat counter 5, i showed the documents and serial number of equipment return and got my account updated by the MTNL officer in charge. It was 5 pm and i could see just 2 people on the counters. No wonder we are where we are.

    My experience with MTNL was nothing short of sheer harassment. I have never seen such shoddy management and such callous working. While people like us work hard to earn, laggards like Mr.Gahlot run down the whole organization like a cattle farm.

    Without mincing my words, i say such MTNL officers should be fired. They earn their pay because o[censored]S customers which they fail to support in any way. It was an ordeal to get my connection terminated. If you are planning to get an MTNL connection, i humbly request you to think again before you do.

    Here's my rating for MTNL Idgah Exchange Delhi - POOR!

    Services - Not up to the mark
    Complaints - Will take days to resolve - No guarantees that it will work next few hrs!
    Behavior - Don't ask
    Process - Pathetic and Slow - Rickshaw pullers can do better that MTNL
    Customer Service - Don't Expect any
    I have complain via 10 numbers of mail and by personaly visiting okhla office branch but my problen is still the same Even no one is answering my mail.

      I had applied for Triband services around 6-7 months ago, at MTNL Panvel they didn't had certian services for my area so then they didn't bother to call. When we plan to disconnect the landline number they inform us now they have Triband in our area so not to disconnect the landline.

      However due to some personal reason I decided not to take these services and called them to inform about the same. When called one of the employee at New Panvel Exchange very rudly informs me that I need to give an application for cancellation as this service is already been activated on my name n number, that to without informing me or without visiting my place. Also added I need to pay the bill for activation of theis account. First thing the employee was very rude and didn't bother to listen carefully blaming me for whatever has happened.

      I deceide to call the DGM and inform him about this incident, who sits at CBD-Belapur's office. Being at this level(DGM) I expected he'll listen n then suggest what to do, however to my disappointment the DGM was again very rude, he stated that I should give an application and disconnect these services, which I was going to anyway, but to my surprise he stated I was wasting his time by calling n discussing this issue, he personally won't waste time listening to irrate or complaining customers.That was pretty rude and scarcastic. He mentioned I won't be billed for any installation, however wasn't intersted to even listen to what am I saying. Not worried atall about loosing a customer. Least bothered about what I was trying to bring to his notice.

      Looking into what happened I have decided to disconnect my MTNL number. These government employees do not respect their consumer and I feel these people desperately need to undergo CUSTOMER SERVICE or CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT TRAINING.

      Pathetic experience.Would never call and talk to such employees again.

        Phone went dead on 14th April 2008. Compalint lodged on 15th April 2008. Docket No 3870. Phone still not working. Spoke to the Shimpoli Exchange Officer he said he will be sending a phone mechnaic home but to this day no one has come & the phone is still dead

        Services of MTNL Delhi is very poor. I have lodged complain of my landline number on 20th May 2008. None of them have reacted so far. This is a very dissatisfying attitude of MTNL which will lead them to another corporate merging.
        There is much noise in my telephone line.

        In response to an advertisement in newspaper, I booked a telephone on 29.08.08 at Sanchar Haat, Rohini, Sector 9, Delhi vide receipt No. 2SLS/00095301/08 under the package 'LIFETIME' FW set 2456 level. I was allotted phone No. 24563818. I was assured that the instrument/handset will be delivered within 2 days of booking at the given address and the number will also be activated on the day of delivering of the handset, though signature on the handset delivery receipt were taken at the time of booking.

        13 days have elapsed but neither the handset has been delivered nor the number has been activated despite my persistent visits and requests to Sanchar Haat officials including the SDO Sanchar Haat, Sector - 9, Rohini, Delhi.

        I request you to kindly look into this lapse and take action against the erring officers who are bent upon to harass the hapless customers. Hope for immediate action and activation of phone number and delivery of the handset.

        i give application for home m.t.n.l phone for use last 2/5 month ago but the officesors not do thrire job proprely. they always say come affter two or three days; but they do not work.

        Due to poor internet triband service to me from MTNL with Ph.no.28107086 at Mira road(E), i went for disconnection of internet service & handover the modem on 25/04/2009.But the guys taking handover were not there in the office & they made me waited from 10am to 10.45am, I think MTNL starts at 10am.
        I went to see their Assistant Manager, the gentleman was great & was covering his people telling "Govt. organisation mein patience rakh na padta hai" & didnt even bother to ask why i am discontinuing internet service of MTNL.
        After my greviance to him he quoted " Govt. ne Private companies ko license diya hai unka bhi toa stomach bharna cahiye".

        This is what continues then day will be there that MTNL shall be in hands of Private companies.

        Thanks GOD I got rid of MTNL.

          I am very dissappointed with the service of mtnl internet connection nobody responsing properly whenever i dial 1504 mtnl complaint no. either nobody is receiving the phone or get the reply our executives are busy and your are not in que. Out of 30 days only one or two days i can work on net otherwise rest all days it is not working.
          Kindly take action otherwise i will surrender mu MTNL Land Line connection with Internet connection.
          Please do revert.

          I am feeling no glad to tell you that the service of MTNL broadband is so poor that when i got this wireless connection only i could use it one month after that it got disconnected then i complained on 1504 nothing happend. many of the times I tried then one day they sent line manager instead of sendi ng an engineer so again i got dissapointment. so now after that day I agm still trying to 1504 till date but i am not getting any response.sir I only bought this MTNL connection (having so many option in the market)coz i used to believe in MTNL. now i am bugged up of calling on 1504 because nothing happens there.

            I regret to bring to your kind notice, my sad experience with getting an
            MTNL internet connection installed at my home.
            I had registered for an MTNL Broadband connection on 13 January 2008.

            After making repeated phone calls, i got the connection installed on 25th
            February.(i.e. after more than a month)

            Then on 10th March, the connection got disconnected.
            From that day onwards till today, nothing has been done about it.

            I have made many complaints but the internet connection has not been
            restored.

            When called, the reply I get from the official is, "i dont know when ur
            problem will be solved. Im not a docter. Dont call me again and again"

            I have'nt even used the internet for two weeks.
            Please look into the matter and arrange to get the internet restored at
            the earliest.

            I would also like to khow wheather the monthly charges towards the
            internet connection would be proportionately discounted for the no. of
            days the internet was not working.

            i have mtnl broadband connection and the mtnl person are like ideats in hell. they dnt pay any attention to complaints. even the directory is full of numbers and emails from je to Gm to seniors. but noone pick up the phone it somehow rarely they pick then they talk like a animal or take complaints like a humour.


            MY broadband connection automatically changed from 590 plan to 749 nu. without any notification . strange naa..

            even for getting resolved complaint i have to keep calling again and again. but still not resolved more than a month. past now.

            The broadband connection on my telephone number[protected] has been performing erratically. The ADSL light never remains stable for more than a minute and starts flickering off and on.

            I registered a complaint about it on customer care (1504) and they gave me complaint number : 41601394 on 4th June'2008. They said the problem is with the frequency on my telephone line and would be rectified in 24 hours.

            Nothing happened after that. No one from MTNL even asked me about the problem. I again telephoned customer care and this time they said that I should get in touch with Area Manager (Dwarka), New Delhi. I contacted him on 9th June'2008 after many dial attempts and he said that it will be done. Thereafter I received a call from MTNL asking me "aapka phone theek hai?" Before I could say that it is not the phone but the internet which is faulty.. the official disconnected the phone.

            Nothing has been done by MTNL so far.
            Even contacting Public Grievance Cell of MTNL on 23356666 and[protected]fax) has not yielded any positive response from MTNL.

            Broadband (MTNL) — Disconnection of broadband

            I am facing problem with my disconnection of existing Broadband connection .I have applied for disconnect the same on 23rd Jan.09 .But the same has not yet been done inspite of my several visit to the nearest Sarita Vihar Sanchar Hat & moreover the charges are impounding everymonth without any use of the said broadband.

            I have completely stopped using the broadband since Dec.2008.

            I have visited many times & meet the concerned persons who gave me false promise of makign the disconenction very soon.But still the charges are added up to my telephone bills every month.I am fade-up with the services & will be very happy to disconnect totally the Phone no.

            I am not going to pay the extra charges been added-up since Feb.09 for the Braodband connection.You are requested to see the matter & deduct the extra amount being added to my phone bill at the earliest.

            The people sitting at Sarita Vihar Sanchar hat always takes the matter casually, for which consumers are suffering.

            It is requested to disconnect my Broad band & deduct the amount added for the last months & send me the fresh revised bill only for my telephone.

            A total amount of Rs.1700.00 has to be deducted from my telephone bill & then only I will continue to pay my telephone bill otherwise I will be very happy to disconnect my telephone no.

            Hi,
            I m using MTNL broadband for the past 5 years.
            Since past 4-5 months I have been facing problem with my internet connection. It frequently gets disconnected some time the is not ADSL line and most of the time there is no ping from the DNS server.
            I lodged many complaints with MTNL over phone (called on 1504) and have personally gone to telephone exchange to meet Dwarka Area Manager they noted done my complaint. They reconfigured my ADSL moden but nothing happend then they told me that it there server that is giving problem. But non of them have any clue.. My connection still gets disconnected frequently.

            I have came to know that MTNL's higher managers are bribed by Airtel broadband. So that we people leave MTNL and move to Airtel which is other alternative to MTNL. That is why these people deliberately create problem in there servers.

              For four weeks now (yes, four weeks) our triband connection has been down, and despite numerous complaints to the helpline 1504 and calling up the exchange folks, all we have succeeded in doing is piling up complaint numbers at home.

              You will think in these days of stiff competition MTNL will at least let us know what is wrong with our connection (if at all) and how much time it will take to set it right, but till date we have been fed various theories from various authorities.

              From our computer being faulty (which we disproved by having a technician check our computer out) to internal wiring being faulty (which we again disproved), we now are told by 1504 that the fault lies in the exchange!

              This, you will think, should lead to the problem being solved, but no, it has taken four full weeks and our triband line is still down. And worse, we are none the wiser for the reason behind it.

              My wife even wrote about our triband woes in the widely circulated Mumbai Mirror which you will think should spur anyone in MTNL with some self-respect into action. But no!

              But does anyone in MTNL care at all?

              MTNL's Triband goes off and on frequently as their server is not able to take the load. I actually went to the Borivli telephone exchange and yelled at the engineer. The guy was very helpful and told me that the dedicated power supply provided by Reliance Energy keeps fluctuating because of which MTNL's local server crashes.

              So the private sector seems to be even worse than the PSU!
              Despite repeated COMPLAINTS to MTNL on phone & online, the WEBSITE "register.mtnl.net.in " functions erratically & intermittently. Therefore, it becomes virtually impossible to ascertain one's TRIBAND USAGE. Please rectify this situation as soon as possible. Thank you.

              I too have made several complaints but the same thing only compaints numbers have been piled up at my place .

              MTNL Triband — No Connections available

              I have been waiting for 6 months for an MTNL broadband connection and today they tell me it will be another 5 months before I get it. I stay in the Borvali (W) area. I suggest looking for other plans and leaving MTNL as a last ditch option. I sugggest they take down advertizements on their site if no connections are available instead of wasting everyones time and effort.

              I agree to this. The MTNL just sucks. They care a for our problems. Atlast government office will always be government office only. World will change but in India, these government office and their employees will never change.

              The meaning of MTNL is:
              M = Mujhe
              T = Tension
              N = Nahin
              L = Lena.

              They don't take tension but yes they are just good to give tension.

              MTNL Triband — Poor internet connection from MTNL

              I have registered for MTNL Triband internet service, though i got connected with this service, I am not satisfy with this service. My internet link is flapping every time because of that i get poor connectivity to internet. My landline no. is 28227088
              mtnl call centers are totally useless.
              If you want any results you should submit a written compliant in the mtnl office itself.
              You will be provided with a slip that can be used for any legal actions.

              The attitude of MTNL employees when addressing a customer complaint is nothing short of pathetic, there seems to be a total lack of accountability, with the customer care officials blaming the inefficient line man who does not respond to the complaints while the line man returns the compliment by saying that he never recieved any complaint.

              MTNL Triband — pathetic speed

              I have an mtnl broadband connection from past 3 yrs. recently they changed the connection line from ericson to alkatel. Due to this my broadband was down for more than 3 months. With regular visit to mtnl office and hundreds of complaints I got the connection back again, but my agony doesn’t end here. Now the speed that mtnl claim to be 2 mbps is worse than a dial-up connection. It gets disconnected 10 times in 10 minutes and you have to wait for 2 mins to open a google page. In the process of getting my connection back, I came to know that these guys don’t even have a knowledgeable person in place who can figure out the root cause of the problem. It sucks.

              MTNL Triband — No connection

              I applied for broadband connection 3 months back but no connection as of now. I visited the MTNL office and they assured that it will be done soon but no action has been taken.
              The officers behave irresponsibly and everybody puts the responsibility on someone else
              Last 3 days internet is not working it is totaly shut down, and I had given a complaint on 1504 its complaint no. is 25.

              So far there is no action from ur end.

              Kindly look into the matter to get the earliest repairs.

              I am using MTNL triband, from last six or seven months the service provided by MTNL is totally null. i have to pay approx Rs 750/- every month for no service. Today's situation is that I have lodge complent everyday.
              The response I got from our honorable SDO sir that “150 mtr ke lambi line mai Internet nae chalta",
              please sir i am loosing my hope in justice.
              As no other company have Availability in this area thus why I have to tolerate this connection

              internet is on My Father's Name, he is also an employee of MTNl thus why i am afraid of lodgeing this complent in the hope of some pleasent action without giving any harma to any one..
              Our Area Exchange is Dilshad garden MTNL and Area is shahdara..
              yes i do agree with this. In MTNL nobody cares about the customer problems. I think they go to their offices, so that they can enjoy, have fun and for chat.

              If somebody calls them, they don;t even think to pick or attend the call.

              MTNL — Low Bandwith

              I have taken a mtnl broadband service of limited download of 400mb in which i supposed to get above 50kbps of speed, which am not getting instead of paying large amonut of bills, please do something as the customer care of mtnl is so unhelpful they disconnect the call when thier is some serious queries.

              I faced a similar problem. My broad band connection was down for two months & I made N-number of complaints. The problem with MTNL is non availability of qualified man power. Those poor line man can not solve the broad band problem. They can only check that telephone is not dead. For ADSL to reach shielding of line must be very good, which can be checked from exchange itself by a qualified engineer and if required line pair to be changed with a telephone connection that does not have ADSL. BUT THERE ARE PEOPLE IN MTNL WHO WORK AND POLIT TOO. I know people in Mankhurd Telephone exchange region, worked whole day for me on 14th August and restored my ADSL connection at 7-00 pm, talked to me on phone over half an hour and admitted that MTNL does not have enough qualified man power and line infrastructure for providing Broad band services. The shielding properties of old line are not capable of carrying broad band signal. They changed the line pair from exchange to my residence.

              I truly agree with Saisuresh Sivaswamy. My internet connection has been down since 4 days. i had raised the issue with MTNL on 1504 only to receive four different complaint numbers. Inspite of my parents, who are working in MTNL, using all their influences are still not able to get the connection up.

              Im fed up with the way the call center of MTNL works. In case of any complaint brought up with them, they thing they do is raise a ticket number. All the follow up has to be done by the customer himself !!! They have altogether changed the meaning of call center...Dont noe why MTNL is wasting money on this call center which is of no use to us???

              Unless the top brass, who still enjoys government benefits, are removed from the organization it will still function in the same way. With the kind of support it gets from government and the infrastructure it has it should have been one of the best ISP, which unfortunately is not the case.

              All i can say is it truly sucks!!!

              I applied for broadband connection 3 weeks back, they installed everything effectively within 2 days turn around time.Its almost 2.5 weeks I was never been so blessed by the MTNL folks to see the internet running in my home. Several times they tried they could not set up the internet connection in my home. The link light is keep on blinking. Surprisingly no one is there to listen anything. No one is capable of doing anything.

              MTNL Triband — Connected to ADSL but no internet connection

              After starting ADSL Router, all required lights are glowing but IP address rcvd is 10.117.2.234. Hence, we are not able to connect to internet. Previously I used to receive IP as 192.168.1.2.

              We have no clue what has gone wrong. I have been trying to contact MTNL 1504 since many days but cant reach the call center as yet.

              MTNL is trying to bluff the customer, MTNL triband helpline are really worst. My internet connection is down since last 2 days. I had trie dto call on 1504, 1500, 1505, [protected] at least 5-10 times each, but nobody picks up phone. It is not new. It has been always found that helpine nos are not at all working. This is really disgusting, inspite of paying regular bills, we are not getting basic service.
              even i am having problems with my internet speed the speed i get is max 20 kbps when downloading anything thats too less i am having unlimited download and i was getting speed upto 70 kbps when i took it for a month it was fine but since last 2 mnths its down i made a complaint 20 times i have 20 different numbers of mtnl personals and every one gives me another number to contact when i called 1504 to register my complaint they take my number and then just put my call on hold for atleast 10- 15 minutes its really disgusting behavious...

              MTNL Triband — Fake MB Usage

              I am using my MTNL triband from past 3 years. But from past 2 months they are billing fake Usage Summary. Sometimes my Router is on but I am not using any Internet bandwidth but they charge any fake MB ranging from 5MB to 50MB.

              MTNL Triband — Low bandwidth and frequent disconnection

              I have been facing the problem of frequent disconnection (sometimes the internet disconnects every 5 minutes) and low bandwidth (lower than 256 kbps occasionally otherwise maximum 256 kbps) since mid June thus making it impossible to surf on the internet.
              I had complained on 1504 (MTNL Helpdesk number) in July, some of the complaint nos being 9378 and 7815. After that I have been calling 1504 and other exchange numbers provided by them every 3 4 days to no avail.
              I have visited the CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai exchange thrice but no action has been taken.
              They are a fully loaded , and they are a total foocking, bestardly, essholes!! Simple!! They eat our money for free!! Everyday I feel like throwing away my computer in anger. I just can't work, a 2 minute thing on internet takes my day and still won't work. I will just keep trying and trying looking at the computer screen and pushing all wires again and again in sockets, and staring and staring and keep complaining and complaining but just can't do anything. It has simply eaten away my soul and giving terrible grief since the day I started using it months back. I feel dead, helpless, lifeless in my life in this internet age, where you cannot do anything, but snatch your own hairs in ultimate frustration, and your internet won't work, due to these foocking, bestardly, essholes, who simply are deaf. Every day I feel like I want to go to their office and slap on their faces with full force every day.               MTNL mumbai has the worst customer service, when ever a complaint ticket is issued there is no action taken it will take days for the mtnl officers to initatiate anything. How fair is it to pay for a service which has not been available to us. MTNL Mumbai is a SCAM. They will not provide internet service for a month but charge us for that month. We have to plead to them it get our internet up and running. India has completed 60 years of independence but nothing has changed. MTNL on whole is run by DOGS.

              My triband connection is not working since the last week . when I try to register a complaint I get the message that the phone is disconnected due to shift. What shift? Who asked them to shift?

              When I try to lodge a complaint on their website the complaint does not get accepted due to the reason "Your phone is closed".

              I know my phone is dead they don't have to tell me that!!! And what do they mean by Phone is closed? Is it a cupboard or a shelf?

              I suggest you file complaint under TELECOM CONSUMERS PROTECTION AND REDRESSAL OF GRIEVANCES REGULATIONS, 2007 with the NODAL OFFICER.

              If the Nodal Officer does resolve the issue within 10 days than file appeal with APPELLATE AUTHORITY.

              MTNL is by far and large the best Broadband service, providing consistency and reliability. BUT, there's a catch. "All Is Well" only till everything works fine. If there occurs any problem (the worst being a Line issue) .. All Hell Breaks Loose.!

              I've been having problem with my MTNL broadband since March 10. So thats more than 2 months now. Frequent disconnection problem at first, then gradually more frequent disconnection, and finally ending up with NO Internet at all. And this has been the status since past 10 days.

              I've complained, now, countless times, at 198, but it has been of no use till now. Realizing online help wont solve the problem, I've made so many trips to the MTNL Exchange myself. Situation becomes even more pathetic then.

              Even after explaining them the story each time everytime, they are soo irresponsible towards solving the problem, I feel soo very disappointed.

              It is difficult for me to take leave/half days off from office and attend to this problem. And when i have taken some days off, there's never been a sign of those MTNL guys.

              I'm on the verge of bursting into frustration, and disconnecting the service.

              If only someone could help me regarding this.

              I agree with him. MTNL is the world's no 1 worst service provider. In mtnl department totally illiterate person are working over there that they don't have any sense how to talk with customers. MTNL just give temptation to give cheaper service but worst quality. and some areas, peoples don't have any choice to retain other company services.so that's why mtnl have monopoly in such areas...i think so that mtnl should be privatized.

                Since 1 Month i am using MTNL Broadband at home....i took a plan which is called TribUnlimited....with the download speed of 256 Kbps.... i got the speed and worked fine for me but from last15 days my download speed reduced to 30Kbps only....i made many complaint but they replied that this speed is ok in this plan....but in their website and adds you can see the minimum download speed is 256Kbps....my friend is using same connection with same plan his speed is coming 256Kbps download...but why they reduced my speed....still no action from MTNL yet....I am paying Rs. 1000 for the month & still not getting the speed....even their customer care guys dont have any resolution they just hang up the phone when i asked about my complaint and speed problem....from 1 month i was download on 256 Kbps and suddenly what happen....i want to complaint this to the higher ranked officer....coz MTNL guys dont know here how to maintain their systems.my complaint no. is41100068

                Coincidently, i am also using the MTNL TRI B unlimited plan since January and as Jonny told that it worked fine at 256kbps speed for 15 days, well for me it worked at that speed for a month and half and then the speed dropped to 20kbps.I have done my best to bring this upto MTNL customer support several times, and the outcome of all the complaints was that this is the right speed.I am fed up as well because i have the similar issue as Jonny do, why the internet speed worked for 1month and so and after internet speed went really down that sometimes i cannot download anything.The browsing speed has also been affected but MTNL concerned employees are not ready to listen to us so, i am concerned about my money.I am conerned about my time that i spend over internet waiting for a webpage to load completely, in sometimes to download Pdf files.I pay the same amount as Jonny and other MTNL TRIB unlimited subscriber do, then why few o[censored]s get slow speed and rest would enjoy the internet as we also suppose do.Please this is getting really disgusting service from Government ISP provider and i really like to disconnect the connection but i really don't find that a positive solution to this problem.Since march till now i have paid for the cost of TRI B unlimited service, now if i disconnect the connection then what do i i get in changing to a different ISP.What do i get by paying for the kind of service which i haven't been to use for past 2 months, i meant who will bare the cost and if MTNL is responsible to bare this cost then i will be happy to change to another best competitive ISP provider in the market.I have walked and discuss this problem with various MTNL personnel and what i get to hear is this that MTNL is not putting up with the capacity of connection the can handle and they are providing connection to each and everyone without putting any cost in the production or so called not putting money to make sure all the including existing and new gets the the same kind of services what is being promised while taking the connection from MTNL.                 I have got exactly the same problem as Aditya, I had thought that cutting my broadband speed from 256 to 30 kpbs from MTNL was a deliberate act. Its been only two days and I am replying to the inane questions from the consumer care department, waiting to hear their not so easy to understand technical explanation if they have any.

                Something needs to be done.
                My internet connection is not been working since past 8 days.
                My bill payments are regular and the last bill is also paid.

                Have applied for MTNL Broad band connection on my land line No 26536582.
                Understand it has been approved vide MTNL ORDER No 11637 dated 15 Jul 2008 as provided by your staff on personal visit.
                However neither the Modem has been positioned/installed nor Broadband activated till 1640 hrs on 16 Jul 08.

                May I request the Commercial Manager, MTNL New Delhi to look into the matter and get the BROADBAND service activated IMMEDIATELY.

                Its shocking to see the NEGATIVE attitude of MTNL staff when approached by any customer.

                Is it not appropriate for Chief Commercial manager, MTNL or higher ups to IMPROVE the services rather DUPING the innocent customer who PAY for the services and MTNL deprives them.

                Am sure some responsible staff will take a note of it and RECTIFY the system how long you can fool people.
                Lets rise and make PROMISE to ourself to do atleast 40% of work in a day to justfy your SALARY.

                Its my bad luck there is only MTNL that provides broadband facility. If there would have been any other option I would have never opted MTNL.

                MTNL have worse connectivity and customer care server. They don’t even bother to pickup their phone. If pickup they guys just pick and hung up, if any executive has nothing else to do and he/she talks to you. Don’t think your problem will be resolved. There are here just to take salary.

                MTNL — BAD MANAGEMENT

                Actually MTNL is a state owned telecom which operates under the policy of " Whether i work i or not my salary is sure " which is why complaints are hardly ever attended to. I complained to MTNL help line, customer care.. kept calling them daily. Until now it hasn't been resolved, they keep telling one and the same thing.My Internet is not working, phone calls breaking up. I want to think MTNL suffers structural management problems. Maybe i made a mistake subscribing to MTNL in the first place.

                  From 19/January 2008 I lodged 5 complaints on MTNL garuda helpline--1502 and Online also, complaint numbers are--23309, 109721, 109573 and 109456.
                  Problem is that till from the day i purchased the connection i.e. from 16/02/08 , I am not able receive the incoming calls, if somebody calls me , I am not able to listen his / her voics and the same case happen with the caller...
                  Kindly do the needful,

                    i have garuda walky phone i want to connect internet with garuda 300 monthly unlimmitied downloading plane but the mtnl office have no C D to connect the connection in last two weeks . please connect internet as soon as possible . my contact no -[protected] thanks
                    my garuda internet wll no[protected] is very slow customer care does not repair this problem so garuda internet is very bad.
                    i am very unhappy with the service of FWT (gardua 300 unlimited). every 3 to 4 minute the signal is break down therefore i cannot download any study material and software from the any website. i am very disappointed with the FWT connection . the internet speed not more than 6 to 7 kbps. please provide me good speed so that i donot interupt during the work. this is my very humble request to you please solve my problem as soon as possible.

                      I am a customer of MTNL broadband Internet and have been using it from last few months. From 11th January 2008, my Internet is not working. As i was not been able to put a complaint on saturday & sunday, i filed a complaint on monday, on the phone numbers provided to me.(Complaint no.[protected], for your ref.) with a reply that i will be heard in next 24 hrs,i would like to inform you that i never heard from those people after that.

                      I have been talking to a man regularly on this matter daily and he keeps on telling me," today i will definietle send a lineman to check things" but that lineman also never came to check. (ph. no's[protected],[protected],these were the numbers where i spoke with this man. And sometimes twice-thrice a day.
                      I kept on postponing urgent work of mine day after day, that what if lineman came when i am not at home. But i was such a fool to waste my time thinking that they will send somebody.
                      Finally on Satuday (19th January) i took number of some head person of the region, with a hope that he will understand my problem and will help me out. The person (MR CHOPRA) satisfied me over the phone that it will be done in hours. Its already 3 days after that and its not done till yet. Now, from morning i am trying Mr Chopra's mobile number, but either he's not picking or attending my call.

                      I am paying a monthly rental of Rs 399/- for internet connection. Please tell me why are they charging a monthly rental if they cannot help their customers.
                      I am a working professional and have taken broadband internet connection because i need to do my official work at home also, but i am not being able to do my work.

                      I am really pissed off now by the, Behaviour..Poor services...lack of customer relation capabilities...of the MTNL people, and have contacted you.

                      Hoping to get a positive reply and action from your side now, keeping in mind that you can surely provide justice, after when i feel cheated by them.

                      We have your Internet connection on this Number[protected] but we don't satisfy, we would like knowing your new high-speed Internet plain.

                      2. The fault has been earlier reported telephonically on number of times. The basic problem is non reciept of the signal in the hous, may be a booster is needed to enhance the signal strenght as a permanent solution.
                      3. Request urgent action to remedy the problem.
                      I am using dolphin connetion. I paid dolphin bill of month Jan and Feb 2008 through Cheque No. 961297 on 27/MAR/2008. Also It was deducted from my account to DOLPHIN as usual. But this amount is again deducted to DOLPHIN through ECS in the next month. I asked customer care hundreds number of time but nothing happened. I faxed passbook entry to MTNL officials number of times but nothing happened. I also e-mailed it to MTNL officials but nothing happened. Each time they say that this record does not exists with them. My bank persons says that they has debited the amount to DOLPHIN and the has nothig more to do with this regard.

                      What can I do next? I can not go to MTNL office physically as I am very busy these days.

                      If nothig happened in this regard, I has to disconnect my self from DOLPHIN service.

                      I am a fool customer of MTNL Delhi braudband, I applied MTNL braudband before some days.
                      The connection never work properly, It always disconnected after few minute and not connecting during the long time.
                      I am getting a good speed and connected status on welcome page but when I browse the net it shows the page can not displayed.

                      I called to their customer care lot of time and feel that they are the head and we are just low level of people. They never speak in a polite way, told that we can not do anything if you want mailing you can.
                      Their customer care has a very poor attitude. Always said that today i will definietle send a lineman to check things" or sometime when I called them they disconnect their call after saying hello.

                      The complain No. 41601214 has reset by 7 times by 249 seat number.

                      But nobody providing the solution. I think MTNL should stopped their services.

                      A month back a guy on phone designated as SDO of the area assured me that a lineman would inspect and rectify the problem in a day or two but it has been a month and since then nobody has taken an initiative in this regard.

                      Please stop using MTNL broadband services. This is the worst experience you can have. Private providers is a much better option eventhough they charge a little but atleast provide you quick service if anything goes wrong.

                      ADSL Box or so called router has been defective since the installation. All the lights do not show. Today one person came from your office and attempted to handle my complaint, but tells me that I have to go to MTNL myself to get the box replaced, Mr Redkar Business office has promised me categorically that he would assit me all things since I am a senior citizen with serious arthritis. Mr Shishant tells me that I have to do it myself. Would look after my complaint reg Shafiq who took Rs 500 from me on 28 8 08 to get things done.

                      MTNL Trainband is good but the People who is working with it they are not compatible or not willing to support. What ever is reason but bad service from there side. This may the government employee don't care for the customer which is normal rutting for any Government employee.

                      MTNL — BroadBand Internet Connectivity

                      Dear Sir/ Madam,

                      I have been regularly complaining at your help desk number i.e 1504 regarding the connectivity issues that I face in my area i.e. Ghatkopar (e), Near Odeon Cinema, Mumbai 400075.

                      They ask me to call the MTNL offices (GM and AGM offices) and provide me with the numbers[protected]/[protected] to the same. However all they say is that we are facing a lot of issues today so we don't know when we'll solve yours.

                      The ADSL light on my triband modem goes off every alternate day and even if the internet is working the net speed is very slow. There are times when the complaints have remained open for over a period of 15 days.

                      Can you kindly look into this and let me know what is they way around this.

                      MTNL broadband Services — Internet not yet connected

                      Sir,

                      I had applied for internet connection around last week of June and accordingly on 1st week of July telephone set and a modem was placed in the house, thereafter they asked me to upgrade the system. After upgradtion they did not come to connect the internet till date. I have also given complaint to MTNL and the complaint was Registered vide docket No 47507 on 13/15 July 2009 and by then even the telephone set became dead and complaint was lodged in 198 and complaint No given 1207. It is really pathetic that the mtnl being one of the premier organisation is not doing their job.

                      An early action is requested.

                        A. What is the total amount paid to Huawei and Himachal Futuristics Communications ltd. to provide and maintain the hardware, software and maintenance of Garuda Internet Services.

                        B. Who are the officers / govt. officials who have passed this tender because the responsibility of non availability of services lies with them and the should be answerable for such public waste of money.

                        My original complaint is given below for your convenience.

                        Dear Sir,

                        I own a Garuda FW Landline phone number[protected]. I have been using the Garuda internet services under the plan 299 unlimited since more than 6 months now. From the beginning of the service till date, the internet service has remained unreliable and has never given proper speeds of even a dialup connection of 56 KBPS.

                        I have several areas to complain and want to know information as below

                        1. When will the Garuda services be at par with other CDMA services such TATA Indicom or Reliance CDMA and provide proper dialup speeds of atleast 144 KPBS without disrupting the service every other day.

                        2. When I call your call center number 1502, they always have a reply that the server is down and for any further information contact Bandra Kurla Exchange. Sadly, no one ever picks up the phone at Bandra Kurla Exchange, hence, I would like to know why you are maintaining such a USELESS call center where they have no answers to any questions related to Internet service. Moreover the call center is manned only from 7 am to 8 pm and not round the clock (although it would not make any difference). The latest information I got was that servers are down and service will resume on 15th Dec 2007, the date I had called was 6th Dec 2007, so it takes 9 days to rectify a problem, or this is a standard answer provided to consumers.

                        3. I have been repeatedly told that Mr. Gholap is the chief engineer who looks after the Internet services, but, he is never reachable either on his desk or his mobile number provided, nor an email is provided. The DGM Mr. Rahat Kumar is also not traceable, so who is the responsible person who can answer or solve my queries related to Internet.

                        I had registered a complain with your department on 28th January 2008. It was regarding my bill which I was charged before using GARUDA HAND SET. I received the first bill on 3rd January 2008 , where as I didn’t had a handset at that given point. I received the handset on 8th January 2008. I was told that the amount would get reverse in the next bill cycle , but it was added instead of it. Sir / Madam is this the practice of telecommunication giant to charge the customer before using the phone ? I had to pay Rs.87.00. Please do explain me why shall I pay the said amount before using the phone. This is a case where some one in your department is putting down the name of MTNL. Which please note. Yesterday ( 11th February 2008 ) I received another bill from Garuda stating that I had to pay previous balance of Rs. 87.00. + 160 monthly charges from 1st Jan to 31st Jan 2008. So total I have to pay is 248.00 ? In spite of many calls to the BKC nothing happen It seems no one is bothered but here I’m as it is my hard earn money and I cant give any one just like that for what services I haven’t used , I think I’m right in thinking that.When I received the phone on 8th January 2008 why shall I pay for 7 days which I haven’t used? Its my hard earn money. Please check the account in your department that who is fooling around.

                        I have a garuda mobile 20262954. Bill of July 2007 i made payment in cash vide Receipt No. : A2702 dated 18/8/2007
                        amounting Rs. 247/- in Dareeba Post Office. I made complaint
                        no. 54473. I talked with related person, they told me why you deposited the money in post office the payment will come automatically within 2 or 3 months. but now 9 months has
                        gone no action has been taken so far nor payment has come in my account. I am very much surprised in this tough competition how you survive.

                        please look into the matter and adjust as soon as possible.

                        mtnl garuda cdma service — unnecessery harrassment

                        Sir,
                        my garuda number was[protected] which is disconnected from last several months due to non payment of those bills except one for which the service is not provided to me. First time my phone was disconnect when i was not paid the bill because no bill was received to me and when i complained to customercare, he/she replied that first I should pay the bill with penalty then the phone will connected. I objected that it was not my fault as i had not received bill with in the time limit which is duty of company becaused it is a post paid service so that why i should pay penalty which was not much in amount but it was unfair and fault of company. I requested that i will pay only actual amount but he/she refused. Since than my phone is de-activated continously even after my repeated request. But now from last 3/4 months i have received bills of huge amount and for that service which is not used by me. Company neither sattle the my complaint nor finally disconnect the phone. it is requested that either the company sattle my matter or completed disconnect my phone service.

                        I am Sumit Kumar. I applied for the Garuda services in April 2008. I was given a handset with the assurance that if any problem the handset is in warranty of one year. when I first encountered problem, it was september 2008, and afterwards it never became fully functional. My days started with complaining to the call centers and ended with the comment. "The call centre is not responsible you go to sanchar Haat." Whenever I got time I went to Sanchar Haat, as I was not working there to be in Sanchar HAat daily. They said the set is good and working and who told me that it is out of order. The question whose responsibility is to repair the cell took 15 days. I was also using 299/- unlimited internet access plan of Garuda. 15 days means I had lost my 150 rupees without any service. The phone was never repaired, and I was scolded by the call centre persons for making calls and warned to go to anywhere I can go against them. Lastly I decided to discontinue with the service.
                        I also had another number on my name being used at my Home. When this set started malfunctioning, call centre people started saying u better throw the set in the drain.
                        1- i want to ask why MTNL is maintaining call centres to tell its customer base that they should not use MTNL services. If So then Please MTNL officers you do not need pay so much for this little problem. I suggest you to end your services and let other network owners provide the service. Why under the umbrella of Govt protection, you people are befooling the public. Shut down your call centres which are of no use and shut down your services which would be left of no use without call centre facilities. TRAI would not allow u to continue without having grievance redressal cell.
                        2- It is 12.5.2009 when I was grossly misbehaved by the call centre respondent and was again suggested to discontinue the service????????????
                        3- I want to know what is your modus-operandi behind maintaining such a nonsense system. Not every one can approach customer court and the higher authorities. I would suggest you people make a survey of the average life span of a new connection. It would be eye opening for you. It can not be more than 5 months. Your services are running because BSNL is maintaing the quality throughout India, and Delhi receiving approximately 50000 immigrants daily from the far corners of the country, and these innocent people blindly go for your services. And it is this influx which can provide you an ever stretching customer base. Also have a survey of average educational qualification of your customer base. They are mainly daily wage laborers almost illiterate not knowing even the number of your call centre.
                        4-There are thousands other problems with you people, and I am surprised that in such a cut-throat competitive market, how you people are maintaining yourself. I will provide thousands of other suggestion how to raise the annual turnover without being dishonest.
                        My respective two numbers are
                        20305255 discontinued when it became migraine
                        20305245 in the row to be discontinued. It has stated becoming migraine.

                        I agree to the above complaint 100%, as i am also using the MTNL Garun internet 300 plan, every now and then it disconnects and does not work at all, on contacting the customer care, they always reply that server is down .Plz do something

                        I own a Garuda FW Landline phone number[protected]. Our MTNL is Najafgarh New Delhi 110043. I have been using the Garuda internet services under the plan 299 unlimited since more than 2 months now. From the beginning of the service till date, the internet service has remained unreliable and has never given proper speeds of even a dialup connection of 28.8 KBPS.
                        I am very tired by this garuda service. I hope you understoodmy problem.

                        Mumbai MTNL - Garuda — Charging Problem

                        I am having two Garuda Phones but inspite of chaging battery gets empty after talking for 5/10 minutes so whenever I have to talk to someone I have to keep charging those phones.
                        I am very surprised with MTNL Garuda internet speed. MTNL should have to compensate for such service and wasting our precious time.

I have been using the Garuda internet services under the plan Rs. 75/ (inclusive of taxes)from last two years. In beginning the internet was working fine but now I installed window 7 in my system so internet is not working now. Kindly provide driver for window 7 operating system.
