I had booked to and fro flights from blr to cok on august 13 and 16 respectively through make my trip in air pegasus. Flights were cancelled and we were informed on 10th august and hence called up air pegasus to which they confirmed the same and cancelled the tickets. But till date, i. E 16th september 2016, amount is not yet refunded. Make my trip says airlines have not paid the amount back and hence they cannot pay. Airlines is very generous to not pick the calls at all.

Where is our hard earned money gone? Has the airlines started a new business of duping people? I am not sure if at all i would get my money of 11000 rs back or not. But i swear, never ever i would see this airlines page in my explorer. Make my trip also sucks.

Further, in reference to your complaint, please be advised that, we are working with Air Pegasus's airline regarding refund towards your booking. As of now MMT has not got the refund from Air Pegasus's and we are following up with the airline. In some cases Air Pegasus call centre agents have communicated that they have refunded the money to MMT however it is not true. We shall update you once we hear from the Airline team and process refund as soon as we get it from Air Pegasus.

    Cancellation of service without informing us. I request repayment of complete fare.

    We were supposed to board the bus from Silk Board, Bengaluru at 5.30 p.m. We waited till 8.00 p.m. We received sms to arrive 15 minutes before the departure. Accordingly we arrived at 5.15 p.m. We waited till 8.00 p.m. No sms was sent to us. When we phoned at 8.00 p.m. we were told that bus was cancelled. This was gross responsibility on your part.       I had booked flight for bangalore to Chandigarh . but due to some reason i had to cancel that flight . there is cancelation charges Rs 2250+300 charges but they had deducted Rs 5100 because they are saying it two different flights . but actually i had booked one flight from bangalore to delhi which had one stoppage. not two different flights. it had one invoice for that flight and one PNR and one payment detail . no details there for diffrent flights . so now they are almost charging full amount of booking as cancellation charges. its really painful to bear full booking charges as cancellation charges . we are from middle class family we cannot afraid there type of charges . we had book flight because of long distance, otherwise we afford only train etc . but now we are cheated by makemytrip . so kindly take action against them and get back our money to us .

        I had made flight booking for 29th jan 17 through make my trip... However, i have been overcharged than the actual amount shown on their website while booking... Also, after several complaints... I have not received any resolution... My booking id number is nn[protected]... I have still not received any resolution and each time i contact their customer call centre there are different agents taking us on a ride since past few days... Request you to kindly look into the matter.

          This has reference to my international travel ticket booked via makemytrip.com. I purchased flight tickets of air india from delhi to singapore. Travel dates 25.08.2016 (Delhi – singapore) and 22.09.2016 (Singapore – delhi) viamakemytrip.com.
          Due to some medical reasons in the family, i needed to extend my stay in singapore and suddenly the battle began, i was shocked with the insight this whole thing has brought to light. Thinking all would go as planned, i got my singapore visa extended, which happened in less than a day’s time. Post which i tried to change the flight ticket return date from 22.09.2016 to any date between 21.10.2016 to 24.10.2016.
          Now my agony began. At the age of 65 years, i am being harassed to the core between makemytrip.com and air india. I was unable to proceed with the changes online and was asked to contact makemytrip.com via an online message. So i called the makemytrip support number in gurgaon[protected] and was on an idd call for about 50 mins. From singapore. The singapore no[protected] given on their website does not exist, wonder why it’s still mentioned there.

          The call was answered by makemytrip executive deepak, who after taking all details confirmed to me that the ticket change is possible and that i need to make a payment of rs.5411 as penalty charges for change in date (Rs.2705 per passenger) and also that there is no difference in fares for the changed date. He confirmed twice that post making the payment, the return travel date would be changed to 21st oct 2016. So i went ahead and confirmed all details with him twice and post confirmation, made the payment of the said amount. (You can cross check in their accounts and also hear the recorded call).
          Now, once everything was done, he suddenly tells me that since it took me some time to make the payment, the fare must have changed. Next, he tells me he is unable to get the fare from the airline and the fare must have changed and he will refund the amount i paid. I insisted that after confirming everything, how can he go back saying he will refund the amount of rs. 5411, which i had anyways confirmed twice before making the payment.
          After a lot of argument, he finally transferred the call to his floor supervisor mr. Deepak kumar. Now this gentleman tells me a new thing that the validity of my ticket is only one month as the fare was booked in the lower economy class. I was shocked to hear this now as at the time of booking it nowhere said any such validity of one month. Nor is the same mentioned in my ticket (Please have a look at any of the tickets issued by makemytrip.com). Now he says that if i need to change the dates i need to pay an amount of rs. 30788 for two passengers (Me and my husband for a one-way return date change) as the validity is of one month. If this was the case, why was i charged rs. 5411 in the first place and confirmed twice that there is no extra charge towards the date change for that date and the revised ticket amount of rs. 47395 sent to me via email.
          I really don’t understand where was it mentioned when i booked the ticket online that the validity of the ticket is of one month? If it was so, i would have given it a second thought before booking. No such choice is given at the time of booking. Makemytrip.com says it is one month and the same is fixed by air india, so they can’t do anything and you can speak to the airline directly. This is ridiculous. Why should i need to call them? I booked through makemytrip.com and i was never informed about the validity of one month. If they are a medium though which we do the booking, it should be made clear to begin with. The site mentioned that it’s a non-refundable ticket which i agree but there was no mention of any validity anywhere on the website nor on the ticket.
          Just to check if air india is able to help, i did call them up too, but they directed me to makemytrip.com as the booking was done through makemytrip website. So once again it left me with no choice but to write to senior officials so that something can be done in this regard.
          Please note i am very senior doctor (Just retired from maulana azad medical college) and really didn’t want to waste so much time over this if it didn’t concern me and i didn’t feel cheated. My husband is also a very senior doctor and i would like to request makemytrip.com to acknowledge the fact that we are senior citizens, stop harassing us and do the needful at the earliest.
          Please help honour what they commit and display on their website, prevent others from being a target for such kind of tactics employed by organizations like makemytrip.com.

          My ticket details are as below-
          Booking id: nn[protected]
          Current date of return travel: 22.09.2016
          Proposed date of return travel: 21.10.2016 (+ or – 1 day)

          Please note i was confirmed that i need to only make a payment of rs. 5411 towards the date change to 21.10.2016 and there are no other charges to be paid by me, post which i have made the payment which is reflecting in makemytrip system. I should not be expected to be penalised for a fault made by their agent.

            Welcome hotel, new delhi

            Every hotel booking was done through app through normal procedure. Every time while booking a room, 2 guests were automatically selected. So 1, 2, 3 bookings were done and with no issues check in and check out done and i have given feedback for every hotel (4 star).
            4th booking in new delhi was done in a similar way but while check in the receptionist informed me that the booking is done for a single person. I called mmt customer care he checked everything and informed me that the booking is done for only one person. I had not changed anything, followed the same procedure for all bookings, how come will i book for a single person on my honeymoon???.

            It was really humiliating as the customer care person was convincing us "there will be no problem sir just hold on for some time" and finally said send me the screenshot of your app while you book in mobile. He said i will send you a link in which you must send the screenshot. I'm still waiting for the message.

            And finally he said you have to wait for 24 hours to resolve the problem. Sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour talking to the customer care finally the result was i have to wait for another 24 hours. It was really embarassing. Even the receptionist was laughing. Is this the way you treat a regular customer. I have paid for a room, in that there is no fare difference for a person or two. What else do you want???

            Finally i have to pay for another person which was very expensive.
            We prefer your app as your offers are really good. But at the time of emergency you just pull out.
            What is the solution for this???

              Cancellation amount not refunded - Air Pegasus has cancelled the flight due to technical reason

              Hi,
              I've been cheated and have given false promises by the makemytrip guys that the cancellation will be refunded. But as of today my amount is *not refunded *. Air Pegasus has cancelled the flight due to technical issues and communicated to me that full amount will be refunded.

              I've spoken to Air Pegasus airlines, they have confirmed with pdf that the amount has been refunded. I've send mail with the confirmed pdf...

              I had booked return flight tickets for my office colleagues from coimbatore to new delhi on 4th july 2016. The return tickets were for the date 28th august 2016 i. E., sunday.
              On make my trip site the flight details were stated as:
              - indigo flight (6e-882/244), 1 stop flight from coimbatore will departure on 14:10 and will arrive on 19:25 to new delhi. Total journey duration is "5hrs 15 mins"
              - however after payment process had been done & when i received the tickets the scenario was something different indigo flight 6e 882 will fly off from coimbatore at 14:10 and reach chennai at 15:25 and there after indigo 6e 704 flight will fly from chennai at 22:35 and reach delhi at 1:20 which make the the total journey duration as "11hrs 10 mins"

              Ticket (Booked on 04/07/2016) & snap shot of the site (Dated 23/08/2016) has been attached. Spoke to makemy trip customer care (Personnel names are: javed, parv and sheetal) were you can check the call record too, but did not provide satisfactory reply to me. I would require full refund of money.

              Respected forum please note that the matter has not been resolved. You can please check the call records & email conversation that I have asked for full refund and make my trip personnel have accepted that they have made a misrepresentation but still they have deducted al the penalty and make my trip charges and credited my credit card account with INR 5640 only instead I have asked for a refund of INR 16593/-. Further please note I have not even given my consent to proceed with the refund process they initiated the process on their own.               Make my trip debit account but doesn't issue ticket ! Be very careful avoid using make my trip it will give u only trouble & they are fraud because they debit my account but did not issue the ticket!
              I booked a hotel in the name of Deepak Kumar, Booking ID:NH[protected] . Booking was from 9/9/16 to 10/9/16. Due to some inconvenience I cancelled the trip but still I haven't receive the refund.
              Please look into the matter at the earliest. Please understand our condition and there's no charity in snatching other s money

                I had booked bus ticket from Delhi to mussoorie with pnr [protected]...I had intentionally booked seat number 9, 10 because my female friend has a serious problem of travel sickness...but the bus operator forced us take the front seats which really caused a lot of suffering for her...most importantly the bus operator misbehaved with my friend and abused us...

                  We had two bookings for 1 night stay at Mahabaleshwar on 10th Sept 2016.
                  NH[protected] and NH[protected]

                  We wanted to change the date and the hotel confirmed that the date change was possible without any charge 24 hrs before the check in and makemytrip should contact them since the booking was done through makemytrip .

                  Accordingly, we raised the request at makemytrip [ ref :[protected] dated 07 Sept 2016]. No response received. I called them 4 times and every time they told me that they will call me back and need not worry .

                  Finally I called themon 09th Sept 16 morningat 10 am - they told me that the system was down and I should call again at 12 noon.

                  I called at 12 noon and I was told that 50% cancellation charges would be required since it is less than 24 Hrs.

                  There was complete lack of communication between makemytrip and hotel and hotel manager ( Mr Sachin) toldme that they never received any request until on 9th Sept 2016 for change of date otherwise they would have done it free of cost.

                  So due to negligence and delay, we lost 100% booking amount. We expect to get two days stay at the hotel at some date in future as a compensation since this is not our fault and entirely fault of makemytrip's negligence.

                    My uncle booked a round trip ticket from chennai to mumbai thru makemytrip. Inspite of having a valid PNR & ticket he was not allowed to board the Indigo airlines saying the flight was full.The staff at the airport behaved rudely with him and asked him to pay a base fare of Rs.12k so that they can accomodate him in the next available flight. After raising a complaint with the helpdesk - makemy trip has now arranged to refund Rs.500 for no fault of his.

                      We availed a trip to Sri Lanka through make my trip, booking date was 17th August 2016. We are highly dissatisfied with the trip and the quality of the agency/chauffeur/hotel provided throughout the tenure.

                      Day 1 - In the Pinnawala Elephant orphange, the Chauffeur sent us to the river bank had a deal with the person incharge of the elephant ride which we notice. Further, on return the same approached us with a deal of RS.3000 per head for an elephant ride which we refused. The chauffeur was forcing us to get an elephat ride done for his commission which we did not entertain.
                      The chauffeur took us to a Spice Garden where his friend works instead of the Spice garden mentioned in the itinerary and h and his friend forced us to buy products there. Later, in our journey he halted by the Spice garden mentioned byy the agency and asked us to spend few minutes inside for an eye wash as he needs stamping to be done.

                      Day 3 - Kandy to Bentota
                      As the Chauffeur had to visit his home, he asked us to start the journey by 7.A.M whereas our check in was only by 2.P.M in the hotel in Kandy. After several discussions we started at 9.A.M. He asked us to complete the To-Do as on Day 4 in the itinerary on Day 3 only so that on Day 4 he can spend with his family and we need to spend the whole day in our Hotel. We had to remind him continuously to stick to the itinerary which was a tedious task.
                      The Hibiscus Hotel which was more than 20 kms from Bentota was poorly maintained, only three rooms were occupied out of 50 which was lonely and not safe for a family to stay. The bathrooms were stinking, there was a party going on with high volume which was a nuisance to us. Cats and lizards were littering in the restaurant, there were not much options in the menu nor a safe place to take a stroll to outside restaurants. Upon several levels of escalation with Apple Holidays they changed our room which was quiet satisfying.

                      Day 4 - Bentota Beach
                      The Chauffeur took us to a lagoon where adventure sports are done. We paid for the sports and before our ride the Chauffeur instructed the Boat Captain to go on high speed and make us fall at the end for thrill, which we refused as my wife is aquaphobic. The chauffeur left to get his commission as usual and meanwhile we were made to fall into the lagoon. After great struggle we were brought to the shore and the Boat captain offered us another ride, when inquired about the money they said it was a free ride as we fell. Post the ride, the owner and the chauffeur returned, we were asked to pay Rs.3000 for the second ride which my wife refused as it was supposed to be a free ride. The crew there yelled out at my wife "You disgusting Indian women, such a liar you are" and much more which were too intimidating and insulting to us in front of fellow tourists. One of the tourists came forward and spoke the truth after which the crew asked us not to pay, they neither apologized nor our chauffeur supported as he was just enjoying the show. This is how they lure the tourists money and the chauffeur knew all of it. It is so insulting on how they term "disgusting Indians" infront of huge crowd.

                      Day 5 - Bentota to Colombo
                      The Chauffeur again started a story that his daughter has an interview so he would drop us in Colombo early and leave. We were in disagreement to it but he won and he took us to the city visit only on Day6 on the way to airport.

                      We regretted every day for this tour with Make my trip. We have been to four tours in India through you and this is the worse, we would definitely not recommend to our friends and family. We were humiliated by the Chauffeur on every single instance that we are Indians and we cant afford much.
                      You have disrespected our customer by all chances and we have all evidences on the Hotel quality we were accommodated. We need a justification for every humiliation, insult and amount we paid.

                          It is regarding booking id-in1607b4s1312110 for swiss paris delight package for me and my husband booked with your website (Make my trip) on 27/07/2016 for 5 nights and 6 days starting from 25/08/2016 to 30/08/2016 by an initial amount of rs.20, 000 (Screenshot no.1 attached) booked with your agent mr. Trinath banarjee.

                          Issue number 1 (One) we were guided to apply for visa for but when we asked you to provide us what all documents will be required to apply for visa then we were specifically told to deposit further amount of rs.84, 000 only then you will be able to connect us with the concerned visa team but as we trusted the "brand make my trip" and we proceeded further and deposited the amount rs.84, 000 on the very next day of the booking i. E.28/07/2016 (Screenshot no.2 attached).

                          Issue number 2 (Two) now after the payment of rs.1, 04, 000 was made we were contacted by the concerned person mr. Piyush balda he guided us with the documents which were required till then we were already planning and preparing for our upcoming trip as we were told that we have ample amount of time for visa application and it will be done very easily and your concerned visa team cross checked the documents and we submitted the documents with the vfs global and being a first timer we were blindly relying on your so called visa team whom we thought were experts in this because you guys are such a big shot in travel industry and this was our biggest mistake and mistake number 1 but being unaware of this mistake we submitted all the documents on 5/08/2016 (Screenshot no. 3 attached) and we were told that you will get visa by next week.

                          Issue number 3 (Three):- now in our dreams we were all set to fly on 25th of august, 2016 and all the preparation were going on with full enthusiasm and after that there were no communication with your team no mail no call nothing but suddenly on 11/08/2016 i. E. Thursday evening (14 days before the flight) around 7. P. M i got a call from mr. Trinath banarjee asking to deposit full balance amount of 104, 981 but we denied to do that so he agreed for paying an installment of rs.50, 000 by eod and mentioned that if you do not make the payment your booking will stand cancelled, we were asked to deposit 50, 000 immediately at such a short notice and at this point i had some institutions that there is some serious fraud going because no one ask for money on such short notice of 5 hours but we were in the dreams of our euro trip which made us forget everything and since beginning we were blindly trusting the "brand make my trip" so we continued our blind trust again and deposited rs.50, 000 more on the same day before midnight (Screenshot no. 4 attached) which was our mistake number 2.

                          What happened after the deposit of rs 154000 that is nearly 75% of the total package cost - on 13/08/2016 in the morning a i got a call from ms. Shazia who mentioned that visa application has been refused and then i was connected with mr. Piyush again who told me that “you have not provided proof of sufficient means of subsistence for the duration of intended stay” which we understood that there is some lack of documents from your side but mr. Piyush told us some different story which was not clear at all and then he sent the letter of rejection to me (Letter attached attachment no.5) here the point to be noted is that how can the documents gets rejected when they were approved by your specialized visa team and i have submitted all the documents only after approval forms your visa team only as it was a part of "brand make my trip".


                          Issue number 4 (Four) biggest fraud done here: after receiving the refusal letter we were exposed to most shocking part of whole incidence that visa refusal letter (Attachment no.5) issued to me was dated 10th ausgust, 2016 and that was a day before when we made further payment of rs.50, 000 at very short notice then it clearly clicked my mind that i have been cheated with our rs 1, 54, 000 and also it shattered our dreams of going on this euro trip because when you guys already got the intimation of refusal on 10th august then how can you ask for remaining money and the biggest fraud was that this letter was provided to me on 13th august.
                          We are not in stone age that a letter took 3 days to travel to me and which made my intuitions more clear that i am being cheated since i was not dealing with some local agent i was dealing with such a big brand and this couldn’t happen but i was completely shocked and clueless of what happened and it was a serious disgrace for your brand and was not expected from mmt.

                          Issue number 5 (Five) after all this sad news and shattered dreams of euro trip we were told that you do not have sufficient amount of time to reapply for visa and one of your executive mr. Rehman clearly told me that if you want us to do any further action in this matter then you have to pay the remaining amount of rs.54, 981 that too by end of the day only and then he will see what can be done these words should be noted that after i am 100% sure that i have been cheated by rs.1, 54, 000 and i cannot get the visa i was again asked to give remaining installment and on which he didn’t even committed anything he just bluntly denied to listen to any other thing and mentioned specifically that “make the payment otherwise i won’t listen anything and i[censored] don’t make the payment we will cancel the booking” which we obviously did not make because there were less than 7 working days left for the flight and there was no chance of visa re application why should we risk our remaming rs.54, 981.

                          After all this i got a mail from mr. Reham (Screenshot no.6 attached) saying that “due to non-payment of remaining amount all your amount has been forfeited.”


                          So what was my fault in all this due to discrepancy in visa application provided by you and not given us proper guidance our application got rejected and even after the rejection you guys took one more installment of 50k and at end i am being told that nothing can be refunded because visa has been refused.

                          I mean what did i get after dealing with your big "brand make my trip”???
                          A bag full of shattered dreams as now i cannot go this trip and risk of rs.1, 54, 000 but i am sorry guys i am not going to sit silently on this matter and don’t let you guys take my 1.5 lacs so either you guys take some serious action and provide us with some definite solution by refunding my amount or adjusting this amount toward some other country package or provide me with some other satisfactory resolution else i have to apply to the consumer forum regarding this matter and take some legal action against this matter and it is also going to affect your public image

                          In reference to your email and as per our discussion with the Mr. Manas Mehra on 30th august, we have conveyed him that we would cross checking the pointers raised by him and based on that we would be reverting further.

                          Now on the visa discrepancy issue, customer has already accepted in his previous e-mail that “Mr. Piyush reviewed those statement and on telephonic conversation he stated that the balance is not sufficient to which customer added that we will submit statement of her account and his husband’s account and jointly the balance will be more than the package total cost”. Now based on this discussion whatsoever document was offered by the customer to Mr. Shera (submission agent), same was forwarded in the order in which mandatory documents are filed. Now he cannot check or comment on the outcome of the case.

                          Secondly Visa was rejected on 10-Aug. Passport then goes to VFS & then to customer/MMT. It takes at least 48hours to get the passport from embassy.

                          Now as you group booking i.e. fixed departures we have only contracts with the suppliers for hotels (the cancellation impact is on the group reduction) and on the airfare contracts which are applied across the season (again in this seat are being blocked for the customer for which we have to pay a penalty to the airlines on utilization at end of season). Hence if you have might opted for individual package then we could have able to you share you the respective cost, but in this case we won’t be able to as the respective cancellation would applicable.

                            I have booked 3 tickets in make my trip on 4th septemper 2016 from delhi to guwahati for 2333.70 inr {make my trip booking id:[protected]}
                            After the payment i got an sms that my booking is n progress, we will confirm either its confirmed or fails, we will email the ticket and if it fails, we will refund 2333.70 inr in your same accont.
                            But ticket booking got failed and they have refunded only 2243.00 inr, remainibg 90.00 inr they have not refunded, please consider this complaint and take necessary actions..

                              My name is rupal baphna. I had booked a flight ticket for my daughter anokhi bafna through make my trip in jet airways. The travel was from indore to bangalore on 02nd aug 2016. The flight got cancelled and anokhi had to take another flight for the travel. For the refund of the flight charges, we are continuosly following up with make my trip, but not getting a satisfactory support. The flight number is 9w 7178. The e ticket number is[protected].                               We are expecting the complete refund of rs. 6272/-. But we received only rs.780/-

                                  I booked the flight from delhi to zurich and return for my father and uncle there was some name modification that was suppose to be done i called makemytrip they said you need to pay some amount and it will be done its been more than 10 days i have been calling makemytrip and sending mails that i am ready to pay the amount please do the name change.
                                  They are not responding i have been calling customer care and they are saying that we will call u back within 48 hours.
                                  I haven't received any calls from make my trip the flight is on 12th of september 2016 and today is sixth of september i called airline as well because the make my trip customer care ask me to call the airline directly that they will do the name change but airline refused it that it can be changed through makemytrip only and they do it every time like this only to every customer i really don't know what to do i have enough document to file a case against them.

                                    I had flight tickets booked via mmt to and from srinagar for july end 2016. There was some cashback offer then with citibank (Code appfest) for transactions above 5000. I got a cashback of 1500.

                                    I had to cancel the onward journey due to the uncertain condition in kashmir during that time. The carrier refunded the full amount for the journey. Whereas mmt deducted 1500 and refunded the amount to my account.

                                    On first enquiry they agreed there is some discrepancies and cashback will be refunded back. Later on they started changing their statements and started saying cashback is not applicable on partial/full cancellation. However, in the terms and conditions of the offer code, only full cancellation details are mentioned.
                                    Customer care is showing international flight offers terms and conditions with me when asked. My remaining journey ticket cost is above the minimum transaction amount, yet, they are not ready to refund the cashback amount to me.

                                    If they have any such condition they have to mention it clearly. Showing terms and conditions of different offer and not responding properly is unethical from mmt.
                                    I need the cashback amount (1500 rs) back to my account.

                                      Dear All,
                                      Please be aware while making bookings through Make My Trip...I am an employee of a company and manage their Corporate Travel, , , , i often do booking online...we have faced it several times with Make My Trip that at the time of Booking it shows as a refundable booking but later on due to some unavoidable circumstances we try and cancel the booking it shows as it was a non refundable booking and no refund is received...we have faced this issue both in Flights and Hotels Bookings...Also when we call at their call Centre for such issues they simply say they will not be able to help us in this...Because of this Fraud done by them i have ended up paying this amount from my Salary...This is very sad that being a regular Client we have to face such Problems...
