My name is Rohan Maskay. I had booked a round trip flight Bangalore-nagpur- Bangalore. Due to bad weather conditions Indigo airlines cancelled the flight from Nagpur to Bangalore, flight no. 6e498 on 29th December 1635 hrs, PNR I6BTRI. The airlines customer care cancelled the tickets and asked to coordinate with mmt.
It's been 2 weeks. The people who booked from ibibo have already received the refund in 3 days even the bank is the same as mine. The customer care service for mmt is the worst and one cannot talk to an executive even after repeated attempts. If any mmt representative is reading this please call me on [protected] as I have no other way of contacting you to know the status of my refund

    I booked a hotel in meerut on 14-1-17. The hotel name was Hyphen premium hotel. The money was deducted from my bank account but the booking was unsuccessful.
    There's no refund till now.
    Please help.
    The cost of the booking was ₹1365 and Booking ID was

    I really need the refund.

    Please note that as we have checked and found that full refund has been initiated on 14Jan17 with RRN number#HSM[protected].

    Within 3-4 working days, depending upon your bank's processing cycle the refund will get reflect in your bank's account.

      On 7th January I was booking a flight and when the transaction was under process I cancelled the booking of ticket due to some reasons. However the ticket was not booked but the money was deducted, after consulting with the concerned authorities I was told that my money would be refunded between 72 hours i.e 3 days but now it has been 5 days and even after reminding the authorities continuously my problem is not resolved.

        We have cancelled E ticket no. 706-[protected] to 35 for four (4) tickets from Mumbai to Abidjan dated on 14th of Dec.16 against PNR X3BTSC.
        I am surprised that, despite of so many calls / reminder, you people least interested to resolve our matter, as you know your company is service base company, and if you people not solve and refund full money, we will have to take legal action.
        As you were refunded partial amount, you were assured for rest payment would be credited, once we confirm with Kenya airways, while we have been talked with them, they people charged only 100 $ charges for cancellation.
        Please do the needful and resolve the above matter asap.

          I booked a flight on 7th june 2016 for travelling from madurai to bangalore on 15th june 2016 through make my trip. The flight details are op-126 (Air pegasus).

          One day before the travel date, i got the message from air pegasus team for cancellation of flight due to technical reasons.

          Later it was discussed with air peagsus and got confirmation mail for refunding the amount to make my trip. When contacted make my trip it was communicated that the amount has been not yet refunded by air pegasus and has to wait till they receive it.

          Air pegasus website conveys the refunding procedure shall start from 31st october 2016. But now in january 2017, make my trip ask me to contact the air line service provider directly for refunds.

          The question here is i have booked the flight through make my trip,
          - then how come make my trip ask us to contact airline service provider directly.
          - then why does make my trip charges a convenience fee from us when they don't offer any service to us.

            I am constantly in contact with make my trip executives since 3 weeks but I have'nt received a satisfactory answer to my query. I always get an reply that you will be contacted in 3 working days, but that 3 days never come!!!

            I tried booking a truejet flight with makemytrip and it did not get booked. The money got transferred to my wallet. I tried booking the same flight again with the wallet money which failed again. Now, I am unable to withdraw the wallet money to my bank account. It has been lying around for almost a month. Resolve the issue and refund to my bank account the amount of Rs.5507/-.

            My constant calls to the customer care number has been futile and waste of money, time and energy.

                I had booked my hotel plus flight voucher from make my trip 2 months well in advance for travelling to goa on the 29th of december.
                So on 27th october i made the full payment for the air tickets plus the hotel on the same day and got the emails confirming the e-tickets and the hotel voucher.

                But on my flight to goa from mumbai i called up the hotel since i needed to ask them if they had scooties available and to my surprise they told me that there was never a booking under my name and they didn't have an rooms available now.
                Apparently makemytrip never forwarded any information to them and sent me a confirmation voucher in which it was clearly mentioned that 'your hotel booking is confirmed and you do not need to contact the hotel'

                At the goa airport i was on the phone with the makemytrip executive where he kept giving me really really bad options. When i have booked a 3 star hotel well in advance why the hell would i go for a bad property that too because of their fault!

                The mmt executive also had the audacity to tell me at that moment when we both clearly knew that all hotels are booked now for the new year's.
                He told me he was ready to refund me and i should go find a hotel myself!
                I have never seen such weird and disrespectful behavior. Disgusting services. After 3 hours of waiting at the airport i got a hotel! That too where the water was pretty dirty and they were not ready to accept that it's dirty! They kept telling us it was the lighting so i finally took a photo without the lights and you can see that it's water. The hotel that was given to us later was soooo far from all the beaches! It was absolutely a waste of money. Since we spent so much on the conveyance because of this ruckus!

                I have made this complaint twice and they're not resolving it. It's so sad how they're behaving!
                I want makemytrip to compensate for this.

                  Respected sir / madam,
                  As per our package promised by make my trip company, we were supposed to visit andaman islands along with niel island but unfortunately due to whether condition s the neil island was not covered during our visit to andaman.
                  Have sent 4 emails to make my trip company representative (Swati and vaidehi) for either refund of our money or some workaround but there is no response from make my trip. They have taken money from us for neill island and have cheated us.

                      I request the make my trip team to please look into their website and desire to bring their attention to an obvious glitch.
                      Whenever the flight timings are altered by the respective airlines the same is not being updated in MMT website. This leads to a lot of confusion and flight getting missed. Other portals like ibibo are promptly updating the timings in their websites.
                      For me, i have always preferred make My trip but recently proper care is has not been taken for updation.
                      My flight timings of Delhi to Nagpur still shows 21:10 as the departing time for flight 6E-894 whereas it has been changed to 19:55 on flight 6E-221.

                        Well, I get a call from makemytrip and the associate promised a discounted rate for ticket booking and provided me the booking ID.
                        immediately after making the payment the associate says, price hiked pay more money or you get your refund in 10 days.
                        What a cheating scheme! If this was the situation then the associate would have conveyed that on call but she was only requesting to make the payment. Immediately after I said that the payment is made.. she says price hiked.. this is absolutely not fare and if you guys are not sure about the price then why did you call for bookings.
                        This is absolute cheating. these unethical crooks should be penalized.

                            I have booked my airline e ticket of Air India AI 9866 from Makemytrip.com (Website) on January 6, 2017 from Raipur to Bhopal of Rs. 5413.

                            Due to sudden change in plan, i tried cancelling my e-ticket from the Website but there was some technical failure. I then called the customer care of the website to inform them and requested them for cancelling my e-ticket. I was given to understand that some portion of the ticketed amount will be deducted as penalty and cancellation charges. I asked them to proceed with the same.

                            The customer care due to some reason or the other failed to cancel my ticket and informed me that they are requesting the airlines directly for my cancellation.

                            I, customer care and a representative from the airlines side, commenced our conference call. In the call, i was informed that the airlines also cannot cancel my ticket and i will be considered as a NO Show and thus will not be entitled for any refund.

                            My contention is even when i am informing both the parties that i have to make sudden change in plans and it is a failure on their part that they are not cancelling my ticket, why and how i can be subjected to such a situation.

                            I kept on requesting them to cancel my ticket and refund a minimal amount but they refused to even try cancelling my ticket. I have already informed them that i will not travelling today then how can they consider my a NO Show case and decline my refund.

                              Its been 6months and on that MakemyTrip has not refunded the amount after the flight went non operational. MakemyTrip has not taken any action to recover the money from AirPegasus where as Air Pegasus had already confirmed that they have paid the money to Make My Trip and MMT are nt refunding the money back to customers.
                              MMT is a big cheat company. they have money to pay Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh but they dont have money to refund customers.
                              SHAME TO MAKE MY TRIP Managmement. Fraudsters.

                              GIVE OUR MONEY BACK.

                              Again the same response that MMT wl give is Air Pegasus have not refunded. Bloody What the hell have you done wince 6 months to recover from Air Pegasus. DAMN. BIG CHEATS.

                              We appreciate your note below. The current issue is not isolated to you but to many others who booked to fly on Air Pegasus through not only MakeMyTrip but other agencies including airline’s own website.

                              When you make a booking, the fare amount is transferred to the airline. When a flight is cancelled or when a passenger decides to cancel, the due amount is received back from the airline which we refund back to the Customer.

                              At this juncture, the airline has not refunded the due amount back to us and the entire industry is chasing Air Pegasus. We hope you will at least appreciate that we don’t run the airline. The situation of Air Pegasus is well known to all o[censored]s. What we can assure you is that MakeMyTrip is not holding your money and never will. The moment we get this back from the airline we will start the refund process. We also assure you once again that the issue is faced by all flyers regardless of where and who they booked their ticket from.

                              We are constantly asking the airline. We will begin refund the moment airline directs us to do so.

                              Request your patience under these force Majeure conditions.

                                Bought 10 flight tickets (5 tickets x 2 times) through @Makemytrip. They charged me Rs 225 per ticket (Rs 2, 250) as the convenience fee. It is a hidden charge and that I came to know through the emailed invoices. I requested them for a refund of the amount but in reply, the customer support termed it as the Website Maintenance Fees and hence is non-refundable. Insane!!

                                  I had booked 3 online Bus tickets from Makemytrip website for Somnath to Ahmedabad on 30th December, 2016. The total ticket fare was INR. 1, 656/-. Due to change of plans, I wanted to cancel the tickets. However, the website didn't allow to cancel the tickets online and asked to call customer care for cancellation. On 27th December 2016, I called customer care to cancel the tickets. Although I had called for cancellation, the customer care representative advised that first they will check and inform the cancellation charges and then call back for further process. I agreed and they dropped the call. They did call back, however I was not able to attend the same as I was travelling. [I am not sure whether the call back was just a miss call or a full call]. I called back but couldn't get through. Neither did they call back again. Later, I checked the complaint status (Attachment enclosed - Complaint MMT Bus Cancellation) which was shown as resolved. So, I was under the impression that the cancellation has been processed. However, later when I checked on 30th December 2016, the tickets were still not cancelled. Unable to reach the customer care via call, I raised a complaint on their website regarding the issue. In reply they quoted that as per cancellation policy cancellation charges between 720 to 0 minutes before travel was 100% of total fare and thus no refund is applicable in my case as they were considering cancellation request to be made on 30th December, 2016.

                                  The main issue I would like to raise here is that on 27th December (3 days before the trip), I had called to cancel the tickets, but it was they who requested to call me back to inform me about the applicable cancellation charges. This was not my requirement/ demand but their process, which now seems unnecessary as cancellation request was made 3 days prior to the trip, thus there should have been only 25% of cancellation charges as per their policy (Attachment enclosed - Bus ticket cancellation policy Makemytrip). Further, this could have been notified in the same call which would not have required a follow up call. Also, they didn't call back again after trying once which in any way I am not sure whether was just a miss call or actual attempt. If they were genuine, they would have called again. Because of these reasons, it seems that Makemytrip carried out this deliberately and in bad faith.
                                  And also, why online cancellation is not allowed when bookings are made online? Calling customer care for cancellation takes too much time and most of the time you can't get through.

                                  The way this issue has been handled by Makemytrip and their customer care is completely unethical. And I want refund of the bus ticket considering the cancellation was requested on 27th December, 2016. If cancellation charges is 25% applicable on that date, please deduct that and refund the balance.

                                    I had booked my hotel plus flight voucher from make my trip 2 months well in advance for travelling to Goa on the 29thbof December. So on 27th October I paid fully for the air tickets plus the hotel on the same day and got the emails confirming the E-Tickets and the Hotel voucher.

                                    But on my flight to goa from Mumbai I called up the hotel since I needed to ask them if they had scooties available. And to my surprise they told me that there was never a booking under my name and they didn't have an rooms available now.
                                    Apparently MAKEMYTRIP never forwarded any information to them and sent me a confirmation voucher in which it was clearly mentioned that 'your hotel booking is confirmed and you do not need to contact the hotel'

                                    At the goa airport I was on the phone with the makemytrip executive where he kept giving me really really bad options. When I have booked a 3 star hotel well in advance why the hell would I go for a bad property that too because of their fault!

                                    The MMT executive also had the audacity to tell me at that moment when we both clearly knew that all hotels are booked now for the new year's.
                                    He told me he was ready to refund me and I should go find a hotel myself!
                                    I have never seen such weird and disrespectful behavior. Disgusting services. After 3 hours of waiting at the airport I got a hotel! That too where the water was pretty dirty and they were not ready to accept that it's dirty! They kept telling us it was the lighting so I finally took a photo without the lights and you can see that it's water.

                                    Really disappointed. I want Makemytrip to compensate for this.

                                      My friend srikantha thavanappa booked flight tickets from make my trip with family and daughter, trip from belgaum to delhi via mumbai and return ticket from delhi to belgaum via mumbai, it costed him almost 34000/- inr. But due to some unavoidable circumstances he had to cancel the journey. As cancellation charges they have deducted 30, 000/- and paid back only 4000/-inr, this is a clear cut case of loot, monopoly, .no matter if they would have deducted 50% of money, but here they deducted almost 88%, real case of consumer helplessness. Needs aviation ministry and pmo to look in to the matter where customers are being looted and they are helpless.

                                      We are sorry to read about the issue, In reference to your complaint regarding the wrong penalty quoted.
                                      Please note that we tried calling you twice but the call was not answered.
                                      Kindly note that after cancellation we received the refund of INR 4074/-.
                                      Please find below the break-up for the cancellation:
                                      cancellation penalty for spicejet- INR 2136/- per person per sector and refund initiated of INR 5424/- from spice jet and refund from Go-Air we received the refund of INR 279/- in all total. For Jet airways the cancellation penalty is INR 4000/- per person per sector.
                                      Hence no further refund can be process from airline, but as a good will gesture we can waive of the makemytrip service fees and convenience fees which is equal to 4500/-.

                                      Kindly give us go ahead for the same.

                                      Its completely unethical, just because of our helplessness you people are looting, I agree regarding the rules of deductions by airlines, but logically and morally if you think how can you deduct 30, 000/- INR out of 34, 000/-within 05mnts of booking time and cancellation time, its the clear cut example of Monopoly, Loot and Bullying, I will file legal complaint against you all no matter I will loose Million Rupee, but i will definitely teach you a lesson.
