Most humbly i would like to draw your attention towards my grievance. I had booked for a tour package with make my trip for indore and ujjain for a pilgrimage with my old parents. I had booked the tickets in june, 16 and my travel was for 12th august, 16. The cost of the package is 31000/-.

On 12th of august my tickets were not confirmed as per the railway chart and my tickets got cancelled. As the tickets were not confirmed i could not take the journey and i contacted make my trip team to consider changing the dates of my tour.

I requested make my trip to change the dates of my travel keeping the package as it is.

They are neither changing the dates of the package nor refunding my amount.

Request to please look into my case and help me to get the dates changed of my package or refund of my money.

    I had booked my stay through makemytrip for 15-17 august 2016 for lans castle hotel, lansdowne. We were really looking forward for this trip. The booking details are as follows.

    Booking id: nh[protected]
    Guest: gaurav singhal
    Total amount paid: rs. 8, 547

    It may be noted that the total amount was rs. 12047. But, at the time of booking, a discount coupon of rs. 3500 was automatically applied by the makemytrip app.

    But, due to delhi"s changing weather, our baby who is just 8 and half months old developed cough on the evening of 14 august 2016. We, as parents could not take a chance with the health of our baby and thus could not think about going to lansdowne (Which is a colder place than delhi). Our baby required immediate medication, attention and care. Hence, we had to call off the trip. The same was advised by the doctor when we spoke to him. Also my wife developed fever and thus travelling was out of question.

    Now, i communicated our situation to the hotel and requested them to refund the booking amount which had already been paid on humanitarian grounds. The hotel staff told me that as i have booked the stay through makemytrip, we need to talk to them about refund. When i called makemytrip, they told us that the cancellation policy of the hotel will apply in this case and that a complete refund may not be possible at all. They also asked us to communicate with the hotel people at our own end as well my sending them a mail.

    It should be noted at this point that makemytrip staff were literally harassing me saying that we do not know how hotel will react in this situation. They also told me to call them again and again and ask them whether a final decision has been made. Their behaviour was completely inhumane because i had already told them that my baby is not well and requires my attention.

    Anyway, i sent a mail to the lans castle hotel explaining our situation. They reverted back to us by saying that complete refund will not be possible at this point. They would have to charge us for one night stay. We still requested them to refund the maximum possible amount.

    I was expecting that they would deduct 50% of the amount paid. But to my horror i got the message from makemytrip that the refunded amount will be rs. 2522. When i asked them about this discrepancy, they told me that the amount deducted will be 50% of the initial amount i. E. Rs. 12047. I felt this as the total manipulation of policies to harass the customer and to the benefit of the company.

    I would like to question the higher authorities, whether policies are above all the humanity in this country? Why should young parents bear such a high cost just because their baby fell ill one night before the trip?

    I hope immediate action will be taken and the maximum possible amount would be refunded.

      Today I booked a ticket in bus at Makemytrip. tried to cancel that ticket unfortunately customer care contact person dono what will be the cancelation charge and there is no proper communication to customer. this will be my last booking in Makemytrip . And the real fact of cancelation is due to bug in bus timing in which I booked. It's completely their fault . Customer care is worst to core please don't book in Makemytrip and get cheated like me

        They are providing Wrong hotel details, Actual condition of hotels are attached with the complaint. They can not waste our money by showing the attractive images, they must atleast inquire the hotels first or if they can't, then must not show this on their website. For This Shouldn't happen with anyone else after this I am posting on this Forum.
        Check the attached images and either remove the hotel details from their website or change the description as per actual condition of the hotel.

        hope to have a strong action on the culprets.

          Dear sir/madam,

          My make my trip booking id: in1606b3s1068659

          Holiday trip to: thailand

          No of persons included : 3

          Start date: 2nd september 2016

          End date: 7th september

          I was pressurized to make payment stating that the package will not last for long. Hence, i had to make payment with oral promises that same will be included after making payment.

          The package i had been promised had indian lunch at corol island, pattaya, the pdf file, did not include the same and the reason given behind, i should not worry as all mmt trip of corol island has indian lunch, it is just template problem, after making the payment, i will get final confirmation. After making payment, i did not receive clear confirmation, i therefore sent email on 30th june 2016 for which i did not get clear reply. I later got busy with my work and did not follow-up, which i admit is my mistake.

          Further, yesterday, i. E., 10th august 2016, i received a call from mmt executive for balance payment. When i checked with him, he too was not sure of the details. When i told him to check the pdf file, page no4, where indian lunch is not included in the corol island, he checked his system and confirmed that it was not included.

          He then transferred the call to ms. Chandrima chatterjee, who was handling the same. However, now she refuse to accept that she had claimed anything like this. I also wish to bring the attention that on the payment day, i. E, on 30th june 2016, she was absent and mr. Deep, was corresponding on her behalf for entire day to make payment and even too claimed that indian lunch is included in corol island. I feel cheated that mmt wrongly promised me for payment.

          I feel more cheated now, as i received email from ms. Chandrima chatterjee stating the following "the"go ahead"e-mail which i have sent you is correct. All the tours and transfer is in seat in coach basis. It is mentioned in your pdf. Please check it. However, its a printing mistake from our technical site. Private transfer will cost you high." i do not agree for such mistake as the same mistake as i had paid money for the trip based on private transfer and not sharing. The same printing mistake (So to say template) excuse was given when indian lunch at corol island was not included. I am quite disappointed this time with mmt as they have not been able to fulfill the committed service to me.

          I have attached the package offered and the email received today in one single file. Does such mistake from mmt end is accepted?

          I therefore do not wish to make balance payment transfer till the two issues (Private transfer and indian lunch at corol island) has been resolved.

            Dear concern..

            I had two rail bookings which are automatically cancelled due to waiting time. As per makemytrip term and conditions, the amount must be refundable in 3 working days but from last 60+ days to till date i did not get my refund. Very bad service.

              I cant use my make my trip wallet there is no option to pay with make my trip wallet will you please solve it. When i am trying to book a railway ticket from dhanbad to mumbai it will confirm but when its turned payment mood there is showing debit card, credit card, other option and my wallet but my wallet have only 3 payment option mobikwik, paytm, pay u money.                 Very bad experience with makemytrip, extremely disappointed. I booked flights tickets (Nf[protected] on 5th aug 2016 for november' 2016 from bangalore-delhi (To and fro).
                I applied coupon appfest which was to cashback flat 1500rs on citi bank debit and credit cards. I booked using my citi bank debit card
                And makemytrip app confirmed my cashback of rs 1500 with a pop up. I proceeded with payment of 8200rs.
                On successfull payment, i got my tickets on email but did not got any information regarding cashback. I called and these people told me that coupon
                Is not applied and hence no cashback could be reason though they were unable to provide any reasons for the same. My bookings was fulfilling
                All the terms and conditions for this coupon.

                I am extremely pissed off at this application. Last time also, i booked a hotel under free cancellation but on cancelling the voucher due to change in my plan
                They refused to made the refund

                They will send fake notifications and will not give the offer promised

                  I booked a return ticket from Boston-New Delhi but due to some reason, I cancelled the ticket. The customer care guy sent me a refund receipt saying that it will be available in your account within 4 days. Now it has been more than 15 days, the money has not been refunded to my account. I called the customer care lot many times but either they will drop my call or will say my system says there is a problem in your refund. They will send me an email with no updates only the subject line will be changed saying "refund". I will never ever book any ticket with MMT. A sum of 48000 RS has been stuck with MMT and I am not sure if I will get my refund. I will suggest everyone not to book any ticket with MMT.

                    Makemytrip is cancelling my flights and saying emirates cancelled the flight. I had a discussion with emirates and they mentioned there has been no change in the flight and flight is still available and makemytrip has only changed the flight. I have been raising this issue as makemytrip is lying to the customers and cancelling the flight from their side and providing different alternatives from where they first charge more from the customer in advance booking and later change the flights to gain more margin in the tickets. Please take any action against the same.

                      I wanted ro cancel a flight booking but before proceeding for cancellation i have confirmed the same with make my trip executive that whether the money will be refunded in original mode of payment and he said yes.                         Had took flight from mumbai to chennai on 18th of july, but flight was delayed beyond 2hrs due to this me and my family faces many problem and financial burden (As we reach late night). But airline and travel agent decline to give compansation.

                          Hi, I got flight ticket from Jaipur to Vijayawada.
                          But the airlines from Jaipur to Hyderabad has cancelled, so I had to cancel my ticket from Hyderabad to Vijayawada, which I had to travel as respectively.
                          But after all, I paid for ticket 9000 rupees,
                          But I am getting refund of 3769 Rupees only.

                          I tried to call customer care, but there I got only for booking or other things.
                          None is there to converse.

                          I really don't use make my trip again...

                            Respected Sir,

                            My booking id is NF[protected].I have book a flight ticket online and i paid the money.After dat i want to change the flight date to next month. then i contact the toll free no.an officer told me that the money is not refundable...am very much disappointed.I dont know the reason for this.                             In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case at our end and found that the booking has been cancelled with the airline directly and airline has provided us a refund post applying a cancellation charges of Inr 3600/-.                               I had booked 2 tickets from mumbai to sydney via makemytrip.Com. At the time of booking i was given a "grand total" of rupees 69, 528. Out of which i made a partial payment of rupees 14, 000. However, once the payment was processed through, i was given the balance figure of 56, 980. When i called the customer service desk, i was told that a convenience fee of rupees 1398 was charged on top of the "grand total".

                              My question is a) did the makemytrip people ever go to school? Because they clearly don't know what "grand total" means.
                              B) how can you charge a convenience fee after a transaction has been made? It should have been added in the grand total and i would have made the payment accordingly.

                              When i spoke to the supervisor in charge, i was told that the "grand total" is the total of the airlines fees. When i asked him where does it specify so, he had no answer.

                              As i was really disappointed by the experience, i decided to cancel both the tickets. The website clearly specifies that makemytrip charges would be rupees 649 per ticket otherwise the tickets were refundable. No other information was provided.
                              When i called for the cancellation, i was told that i would have to pay rupees 12, 450 per ticket. I mentioned that this information was not provided at the time of making the booking. The customer service rep replied that he will send me the info now.
                              Again, why wasn't this information provided at the time of making the booking?
                              How can makemytrip keep their customers in dark and then suddenly pounce on them with all these charges once a transaction has been made?

                              I have all the conversations with the makemytrip recorded for evidence purposes.

                              For the mental harassment that makemytrip has caused by not sharing necessary information before the transaction, i would like makemytrip to refund the entire 14, 000 rupees.
                              Never again booking through makemytrip. Worst travel website ever!

                              First of all, read my name carefully and you will understand that my name isn't "Mr Mitra"
                              Secondly, it is now October and I still haven't heard anything from your side. I have emailed several times with all information required, yet no response from you.
                              Posting an update on the matter.

                              I have now received an email from MMT quoting more than Rupees 13, 000/- cancellation fee per passenger. It seems that minute by minute and call by call the rates keep changing.

                              I have also confirmed from the airlines that the cancellation fee depends on the agent now since I have booked through them. The conversation is recorded and I have contacted MMT regarding this, however, I am yet to receive a reply.

                              Thanks MMT for ruining my trip!

                                Refund not processed - each time, customer service representative closes the request saying that it will be refunded in 7 days.

                                I just don't understand why MMT is deducting any convenience/processing charges, when you don't even provide any service, instead looting customer's money by not refunding anything.

                                Never ever going to use the useless website again!

                                  I booked a round trip ticket to and from a destination i needed to visit.
                                  The amount for the round trip flight ended up being 5049 inr.
                                  I also opted in for the insurance they provided which was displayed as having a total cost of 249.
                                  Now when you get to the booking page, they show a 'convenience fee'. I am sure it was more but when i go to my itinerary page, the convenience fee is 175 inr.
                                  The total cost of my trip being 5691 inr (Fare-.5516, convenience fee - 175)
                                  As a break down, i am giving the website the benefit of the doubt and assuming that this includes insurance for both my flights (To and from) which would be 249 x 2= 498, although they failed to mention this during booking.
                                  So my fare jumped from what i saw as 5049 to a total of 5691 inr.
                                  My question is: what is a convenience fee?
                                  Nobody has even overcharged me for using my debit card before, and i would be very interested in knowing how many customers are being fleeced in this way.
                                  I have looked around and have found no explanation for these hidden charges that drive up the amount the customer think they are paying. Granted, the total amount is shown by both the website and the bank (When they send the one time password to your phone), but usually a customer is "all in" by then and just chooses to pay instead of haggle over the extra amount.
                                  This seems unethical and maybe even illegal.

                                  They are pretty dodgy with their convenience fees. I was suddenly charged a convenience fee after I made the partial payment for my tickets. Why isn't a clear break down provided at the time of making the booking.

                                    I booked flight ticket yesterday but some technical issues process will stop 2 3 time at the payment mode but finally my jetairway flicht get confirmed and i got the message but i got two messages two flight ticket was booked unfortunately i booked non refundable flight i talked to make my trip CSR and i told them because of network issue it all happened so please you refund my money of one flight but they are saying that there no such problem occur. Sir you tell one person have to travel why he or she will travel with two seats in same flight. By the way i cancelled my one ticket. Refund amount of INR 426 for MakeMyTrip Booking ID NF[protected] has been processed to card holder Sumit Dharmendra Shukla, ICICI Bank card with last four digits 5857. Amount will reflect in your account in 3 working days if your issuer bank is private or SBI, else may take up to 12 working days. MakeMyTrip unfortunately has no influence on these timelines post refund is processed. Thank you.

                                      I was booked a hotel from make my trip on 29 july in amritsar for 30 to 31 july for me and my girlfriend. The hotel is hotel fairway a three star hotel on mall road amritsar. When i was going to the hotel on 30 july the receptionist said they are not allowed unmarried couples in the hotel. You can call to make my trip customer care for any enqiury. I can't see anything of that unmarried issue in the mmt app. Even we both have their original govt id proofs. The mmt care person said sir we can't help you for this issue and we are unable to refund your money also. My time is wasted my money is wasted. You should mention that such policy in the app. What can i do when the hotel denied to check in it is very irritating moment. Now, i want my money back yes or no, mmt is useless. In the hotel policy chart said they will not allowed accomodation if the couple do not have their their id but we both have their govt id.

                                        Cancelled the ticket on 12 july 2016 (delhi - srinagar) i shold have received the refund with in 7 days, you mail confirmed it to settle if before 21st july 2016 - but till date the refund has not been effected to my account

                                        Past 4 days i am in regular touch with the customer care of makemytrip - rely says will contact you within one hour time from accounts department. but no call received from the accounts department yet

                                        Kindly take up the matter in priority basis and settle the issue

Initially they have not provided any refund stating that the passengers were no-show. Now, we have claimed full refund from them.
