Dear Sir,

I have very bad experience of booking tickets with you. As per below confirmation I have booked 2 ticket through you on 11/8/16 at Sameera Travels for Borivali to Kolhapur for dt 3/9/2016.

On Journey date 3/9/2016 I called Bus operator on mobile no. provided by you to confirm timing and that time bus operator told that madam this bus has been cancelled and we inform all passenger and return money also. I never received phone or email neither from Sameera travels or Make my Trip regarding cancellation I argue with him, but he told and neither ready to take my call also. I forward SMS received from you at 7.30 pm for journey wishes also.

Just imagin what whould happen with me and my son at last minute operator told for cancellation. I request for alternate arrangement also but he denied for that.

Due to Ganpati festival all travels are packed, S.T. buses are packed, I am in lot of tension standing at NAtional park till 11 o clock at neight.
I make so many calls to travels but not o[censored]se. Ultimately at 12 o clock with private car with other passenger ready to take upto Kolhapur at Rs 2000/- each.

Request to refund my money Rs. 4000/- for travelling & phone calls Rs. 200/ totalling to Rs 4200/- earliest at my account which caused because of you.

    I made a booking with MakeMyTrip with booking id: NH2P[protected]
    There was an offer that I will not be charged now but I can pay at the hotel directly. I made booking for the same and got an email confirming the same. Yet few hours after the booking, they charged me for the full amount.

    I contacted customer care and they are not being helpful. Please assist.

      I booked a flight from Bangalore to Trivandrum through Makemytrip. The air carrier was Air Pegasus. The onward journey date was August 13th 2016. The ticket was booked on 6th July 2016. The operations of Air Pegasus was cancelled within couple of weeks on booking the tickets. Makemytrip cancelled our tickets to Trivandrum and asked us to make other other arrangements. Makemytrip assured us that the entire amount will be refunded within 1 week. It has been more than 45 days since the ticket was cancelled and we are yet to receive our money. Everytime we call makemytrip, their response is that they have not received refund from Air Pegasus and they can refund us the money only when they receive money from the Airline. However Air Pegasus informed us that they have made partial refund to Makemytrip, but Makemytrip is denying this claim. We would like to request both Makemytrip and Air Pegasus to initiate the refund process and give us back the amount.

      This email is regarding the refund claim for your Air Pegasus flight.

      The current issue is not isolated to you but to many others who booked to fly on Air Pegasus through not only MakeMyTrip but other agencies including airline’s own website.

      When you make a booking, the fare amount is transferred to the airline. When a flight is cancelled or when a passenger decides to cancel, the due amount is received back from the airline which we refund back to the Customer.

      At this juncture, the airline has not refunded the due amount back to us. I hope you will at least appreciate that we don’t run the airline. The situation of Air Pegasus is well known to all of us. What I can assure you is that MakeMyTrip is not holding your money and never will. The moment we get this back from the airline we will start the refund process. I also assure you once again that the issue is faced by all flyers regardless of where and who they booked their ticket from.

      We are constantly asking the airline. We will begin refund the moment airline directs us to do so.

      Request your patience under these force majeure conditions.

        I had made a booking with id nh[protected] and nh[protected] on make my trip website. On booking site there was stated that "no penalty on cancellation" till the second day before check in. Meanwhile i had a social problem and cancelled the booking. On cancellation they forfieted my whole amount and stated that it was non refundable price which is given in policy. My question is if it is non refundable why it is given on site in big letter that "no penalty on cancellation"
        They are making customer fool as who reads cancellation policy if they stated "no penalty on cancellation" in big letter on select room page.
        They make customer fool and on cancellation gives nothing and on calling customer care number they deny to refund and tell to send screen shot what pathetic behaviour. They change their policy at any time.

        In reference to your complaint, we have validated your case and found that customer has made two hotel booking on 1st & 2nd Sep and cancelled his booking on 29-Sep-16. No refund has been processed from our end as according to the Hotel cancellation policy the booking is non-refundable which is also mentioned on the Hotel voucher sent to customer. Also, in regards to your concern that, we have mentioned on our website that there would be not be any penalty if cancellation done one day prior to check-in. Please be advised that we were running this scheme earlier and this has been closed now. This was applicable for the booking made till 31-May-16. So, we regret to inform you that no refund could be possible on these bookings. If you have any screen shot of the same at the time of booking, request you to please share so that we can validate the same with our relevant team. We thank you for contacting us.

          I have experience very unprofessional and unplanned behavior from the reps as bookings were not confirmed by them with local tour companies and I had to go through a lot of grief an discomfort during my trip because of the mistakes made by Make My Trip reps, would never recommend anyone to use your service. Also will now make sure to post this entire mail as review for Make My Trip.
          This trip was a present by me to my husband and because of you guys it became a nightmare.

          Issues Faced :

          1) To start off with I was given wrong Airways name for which my flight from Mumbai to Bangkok, attached E-ticket. I was told by Rep flight is for Thai Airways whereas the flight was for Jet Airways.
          2) When I landed at the Phuket Airport I was made to wait for 3hrs and 45mins for drop to Hotel as the person our drop was clubbed with they had a flight delay. ( reached at 10:30am and left airport at 2:15pm)
          3) I had Tiger Kingdom booked for the first day for which I had paid extra, because of this drop delay from MMT, the company which had booked cancelled our booking with no refund as the Tiger Kingdom tour was planned for 11:30 am which MMT NEVER informed us about and is no where mentioned in the Voucher provided to us. Voucher attached for reference.
          Nishant Kumar Singh who was my point of contact told me I will be refunded the money but this never happened.
          4) On 7th June we were supposed to catch a flight from Phuket to Bangkok and we had a Private Car hotel Transport to Airport booked. We never got the Private Car a shared transport came 30 mins early and when we asked them to wait they left. Later when I checked the voucher I got from Make My Trip it was for a different company all together. When I called the POC they said that Make My Trip never confirmed the booking so the car will not be sent. I had to finally book a private Car myself and pay for it from my pocket as Nishant did not answer my calls at that time and never even called back after multiple msgs he and he told me that the money will be refunded which never happened. Voucher attached for reference.
          5) While discussion with the Shared transport company because we did not know that they have come to pick us up in error and we were trying to check why our private car was not there the driver and the other couple in the car waiting started screaming and created a huge embarrassment scene which is not what we expected or wanted when we have come to enjoy our trip.
          6) Once I came back from my trip I tried reaching Nishant multiple times he never answered my call, also he msgd and told me he has requested for refund and will get back to me. Today it has been almost 4 months and he has stopped answering my call and msgs.

          Nishant who has been fooling me and not replying to my msgs anymore, I hope some action is taken against him as he kept telling me his mother is not well because of which I did not put a bad review or escalate until now expecting he will have the decency to revert back which he never did.

          Also before my trip I had escalated as once I had booked the trip I did not get any information back from Kajal and has to put a complaint and followup by multiple times just for these vouchers to be shared to me.

            Refund not given as promised and responses are baseless (refund discrepancy)

            I have canceled a ticket for booking id nf[protected] and i was supposed to receive 4850/- but initially they displayed 100/-. When i have complained then they refunded 2425/- and claiming that i have not paid that much as it is showing in the system. They simply making it 50% lesser than their system. Make my trips customer services are pathetic and they are treating customers rudely. Also they are asking me to share my credit card statement...

            I booked hotel misty heights, nanital from 23-24 june 2016 on 23 june at 3 pm from make my trip vide booking id no nh[protected].
            At the time of booking hotel address was shown on portal is thandi sarak, mall road nanital.
            We reached nainital late in the evening and start searching hotel then some body informed us the hotel is 15 km away from mall road and advise us in the late hours not to go because the weather is not good.
            We also trying to contact hotel reception at numbers given in the voucher but not get any response.
            Finally we book another hotel at mall road and make a request for full refund to make my triip team but till today we did not get any response from make my trip.
            When we contact make my trip they accept their fault but not refund any single peny

            as per map given by make my trip location of hotel is at Nani Lake. i agreed address is given but we are not the resident of nanital so we are not aware that the address is how long from the naini lake.
            at the time of booking i select Naini Lake in location and slect this hotel but this hotel is accutaly 12-15 km from the naini lake

              I booked my flight on MMT app few days back with booking ID NF[protected] and when the transaction was complete, my itinerary showed booking of different flight on the same day but different timings late at night which I didn't chose.. I immediately tried to modify which asked for rescheduling charges. Game over. Just because of the erroneous application, you need to pay more if you want to again rebook the flight which you want. I also booked hotel before I booked the flight. I explained simple logic that why would a person book late night flight and waste day of the trip when he has booked the hotel for the same day noon check in that too from the same app. But after all explanations, MMT staff is absolutely uncooperative and they didn't help me in their own mistake and it has cost a loss of a day in my trip and waste of money.. This is the 3rd time bad experience for me from MMT. But this time, it was heights. My trip is during early November and I'm looking forward for the positive response. If I don't get it, I would neither use MMT nor recommend to others, in fact will write worst reviews for MMT.

              Though very late and after escalating complaints again and again till the management department came in, finally makemytrip helped me and resolved my issue. They communicated with me on phone. Though initially, response was poor and I had to keep on escalating the complaint, at the end, Mr. Pranab Deka from management department helped me and rescheduled my flight. Though I gave him an option to make my stay free of cost for a day if they can't resolve my complaint(which could cost them lesser than rescheduling flight), he took care of my comfort in the trip, and chose to reschedule flight (which cost them much more than the previous option) just to avoid any discomfort during the trip. I really appreciate that. Truly a customer caring response by makemytrip. Only thing which I didn't like was a great delay in response. Every customer might not have this much time before their trip. I thank makemytrip for this. And I would definitely recommend it to everyone after the response I received.

                Holiday from Hell!!! It is shame that having raised the below mentioned issues during and after returning from our so called holiday in Bali Makemytrip has not acknowledged the email below or reached out to discuss out issues

                Sun Boutique Hotel – Room 1 :

                I had booked Hotel Grand Marian for my stay in Ludhiana from 18/09/2016 to 23/09/2016 ( 5 nights ) but due to unavoidable circumstances I had to cut short my trip and have to leave on 21st Morning. So I am staying only for 3 nights.
                I paid in advance thinking that there would be normally taken as good gesture to pay in advance and relying in your brand.
                But to my shock when I asked for refund, you blankly refused to give any refunds.
                Since I am not staying I should get refund but you are denying it. What kind of company you are. Had I booked it from some other company, perhaps I would have got refund I am stuck with you.
                Keep my faith in you by refunding the amount or you may get my money this time and you would a corporate customer for ever.

                  I have booked the kerala holiday package for my mom and dad on 11th of August.

                  While planning for the package I used to get so many calls from makemytip agent swati sharma for the planning and then we finalised we will book the Winter special kerala package.

                  While booking the package she gave me the list of hotels and I chose the hotels for the trip and she commited that you will 100 percent get these selected hotels as you are booking 3 months prior to your travel and when I asked her when will I get the confirmation mail. She very confidently said sir within 24 hours. As the package is scheduled from New Delhi, I told swati my parents will be travelling from jammu so we need to know the flight details accordingly I can book their train tickets such that next day they can catch the flight in time. She gave me the commitment once you transfer the booking amount she will send it to the operations team and within 24 hours of time you will get the Hotel vouchers and flight details.

                  Next day I got the call from makemytrip operations team and the person (Mohammed Arif) wanted to confirm the details about the pacakge. When he was explaining the package to me he was saying this hotel or similar type. I got annoyed and started questioning him that boss your agent has committed me that you will get these selected hotels. Now you cant use the similar term with me and somehow the call got disconnected due to network error.

                  I called swati the next day who booked my package and she said sir we have already forwarded your details to backend team and just wait for 3 more days and you will get everything and dont worry about it.

                  I waited for another 3 days but I didnt receive any mail from their end. So I called at the makemytrip customercare again and spoke to some random agent and what I came to know was very surprising.
                  He said its a group deparature package and you will get your hotel vouchers as well as the flight details 7 days prior to your travel.

                  I called up swati sharma and she said sir it all depends on the backend team. I cant help you in this case. Her words totally changed. Then i decided to follow up with Mohammed Arif as i thought may be he can help me out.

                  I told Mohammed Arif that your agent swati sharma is befooling people by giving false commitments to people and in turn it is affecting the reputation of makemytrip.
                  He said he'll speak to swati sharma and if she has given you these commitments she has to arrange them and he told me after speaking to swati he will call me back.

                  But I never get any call back and in all this incidence 20 days passed, I again called back on makemytrip customer care and wanted to speak to swati but whenever i call up both swati sharma and mohammed arif are either busy on other calls or on leave or have already left the office.

                  So I decided to take up the matter in fresh and called up on the makemytrip customer care and told the person in call to connect me to the complaint cell, he said you can please explain the matter to me and he will put a complaint and you will get the call within 24 hours.

                  But I never got any call back.

                  One can imagine how annoying is when you have to tell the story again and again to the person and he gives you the assurance that you will get the call back within the 24 hours. But that 24 hours never happens to come.

                  This time I decided to put up the matter seriously with some proofs in my hand, I called up the customercare and they connected me to Rikesh and he listened the matter carefully and assured me he has sent the mail to higher authorities and some strict action will be taken. As I wasnt sure so I decided to record the conversation between me and Rikesh.
                  As the same thing happened makemytrip didnt take this matter seriously and I didnt get any call.

                  After 48 hours of wait, I called up Mohammed arif and some how my good luck I was connected to him and he said he has spoken to swati sharma and she said she hasnt given any commitment to you. I told him when your agent calls up the person says this is a recorded call, so why dont you check her call records with my number. Doodh ka doodh aur paani ka paani ho jayega. I again recorded the call between me and mohammed arif.

                  He assured me once again he will speak to swati and higher authorities and told me to wait for 24 hours but the problem is 24 hours of makemytrip never ends up.

                  Its been more than a month and going through this is such a bad experience for me. For this 1 complete month I am totally harassed by the people of makemytrip but now I am not going to leave like this I am going to knock the doors of consumer court for justice.

                    I was trying to book an international flight on MakeMyTrip website .My dates were flexible so I wanted a refundable ticket .I searched for the flight which was showing refundable and cancellation charges were Rs.500 .I was about to make the payment but I just thought to make sure. I talked to the customer support and then they told me the details.the cancellation charges were actually Rs21500. Think if I would have made the payment. Then I would be trapped.
                    This is not an acceptable thing. You must mention the details of this during booking only. You are just making fool out of people. A consumer should know about this during booking. I made this complaint just to let you people know about this glitch.

                      I had booked to and fro flights from blr to cok on august 13 and 16 respectively through make my trip in air pegasus. Flights were cancelled and we were informed on 10th august and hence called up air pegasus to which they confirmed the same and cancelled the tickets. But till date, i. E 16th september 2016, amount is not yet refunded. Make my trip says airlines have not paid the amount back and hence they cannot pay. Airlines is very generous to not pick the calls at all.

                      Where is our hard earned money gone? Has the airlines started a new business of duping people? I am not sure if at all i would get my money of 11000 rs back or not. But i swear, never ever i would see this airlines page in my explorer. Make my trip also sucks.

                          I had booked flight for bangalore to Chandigarh . but due to some reason i had to cancel that flight . there is cancelation charges Rs 2250+300 charges but they had deducted Rs 5100 because they are saying it two different flights . but actually i had booked one flight from bangalore to delhi which had one stoppage. not two different flights. it had one invoice for that flight and one PNR and one payment detail . no details there for diffrent flights . so now they are almost charging full amount of booking as cancellation charges. its really painful to bear full booking charges as cancellation charges . we are from middle class family we cannot afraid there type of charges . we had book flight because of long distance, otherwise we afford only train etc . but now we are cheated by makemytrip . so kindly take action against them and get back our money to us .

                              This has reference to my international travel ticket booked via makemytrip.com. I purchased flight tickets of air india from delhi to singapore. Travel dates 25.08.2016 (Delhi – singapore) and 22.09.2016 (Singapore – delhi) viamakemytrip.com.
                              Due to some medical reasons in the family, i needed to extend my stay in singapore and suddenly the battle began, i was shocked with the insight this whole thing has brought to light. Thinking all would go as planned, i got my singapore visa extended, which happened in less than a day’s time. Post which i tried to change the flight ticket return date from 22.09.2016 to any date between 21.10.2016 to 24.10.2016.
                              Now my agony began. At the age of 65 years, i am being harassed to the core between makemytrip.com and air india. I was unable to proceed with the changes online and was asked to contact makemytrip.com via an online message. So i called the makemytrip support number in gurgaon[protected] and was on an idd call for about 50 mins. From singapore. The singapore no[protected] given on their website does not exist, wonder why it’s still mentioned there.

                              The call was answered by makemytrip executive deepak, who after taking all details confirmed to me that the ticket change is possible and that i need to make a payment of rs.5411 as penalty charges for change in date (Rs.2705 per passenger) and also that there is no difference in fares for the changed date. He confirmed twice that post making the payment, the return travel date would be changed to 21st oct 2016. So i went ahead and confirmed all details with him twice and post confirmation, made the payment of the said amount. (You can cross check in their accounts and also hear the recorded call).
                              Now, once everything was done, he suddenly tells me that since it took me some time to make the payment, the fare must have changed. Next, he tells me he is unable to get the fare from the airline and the fare must have changed and he will refund the amount i paid. I insisted that after confirming everything, how can he go back saying he will refund the amount of rs. 5411, which i had anyways confirmed twice before making the payment.
                              After a lot of argument, he finally transferred the call to his floor supervisor mr. Deepak kumar. Now this gentleman tells me a new thing that the validity of my ticket is only one month as the fare was booked in the lower economy class. I was shocked to hear this now as at the time of booking it nowhere said any such validity of one month. Nor is the same mentioned in my ticket (Please have a look at any of the tickets issued by makemytrip.com). Now he says that if i need to change the dates i need to pay an amount of rs. 30788 for two passengers (Me and my husband for a one-way return date change) as the validity is of one month. If this was the case, why was i charged rs. 5411 in the first place and confirmed twice that there is no extra charge towards the date change for that date and the revised ticket amount of rs. 47395 sent to me via email.
                              I really don’t understand where was it mentioned when i booked the ticket online that the validity of the ticket is of one month? If it was so, i would have given it a second thought before booking. No such choice is given at the time of booking. Makemytrip.com says it is one month and the same is fixed by air india, so they can’t do anything and you can speak to the airline directly. This is ridiculous. Why should i need to call them? I booked through makemytrip.com and i was never informed about the validity of one month. If they are a medium though which we do the booking, it should be made clear to begin with. The site mentioned that it’s a non-refundable ticket which i agree but there was no mention of any validity anywhere on the website nor on the ticket.
                              Just to check if air india is able to help, i did call them up too, but they directed me to makemytrip.com as the booking was done through makemytrip website. So once again it left me with no choice but to write to senior officials so that something can be done in this regard.
                              Please note i am very senior doctor (Just retired from maulana azad medical college) and really didn’t want to waste so much time over this if it didn’t concern me and i didn’t feel cheated. My husband is also a very senior doctor and i would like to request makemytrip.com to acknowledge the fact that we are senior citizens, stop harassing us and do the needful at the earliest.
                              Please help honour what they commit and display on their website, prevent others from being a target for such kind of tactics employed by organizations like makemytrip.com.

                              My ticket details are as below-

                              Current date of return travel: 22.09.2016
                              Proposed date of return travel: 21.10.2016 (+ or – 1 day)

                              Please note i was confirmed that i need to only make a payment of rs. 5411 towards the date change to 21.10.2016 and there are no other charges to be paid by me, post which i have made the payment which is reflecting in makemytrip system. I should not be expected to be penalised for a fault made by their agent.

                                Every hotel booking was done through app through normal procedure. Every time while booking a room, 2 guests were automatically selected. So 1, 2, 3 bookings were done and with no issues check in and check out done and i have given feedback for every hotel (4 star).
                                4th booking in new delhi was done in a similar way but while check in the receptionist informed me that the booking is done for a single person. I called mmt customer care he checked everything and informed me that the booking is done for only one person. I had not changed anything, followed the same procedure for all bookings, how come will i book for a single person on my honeymoon???.

                                It was really humiliating as the customer care person was convincing us "there will be no problem sir just hold on for some time" and finally said send me the screenshot of your app while you book in mobile. He said i will send you a link in which you must send the screenshot. I'm still waiting for the message.

                                And finally he said you have to wait for 24 hours to resolve the problem. Sitting in the lobby for nearly an hour talking to the customer care finally the result was i have to wait for another 24 hours. It was really embarassing. Even the receptionist was laughing. Is this the way you treat a regular customer. I have paid for a room, in that there is no fare difference for a person or two. What else do you want???

                                Finally i have to pay for another person which was very expensive.
                                We prefer your app as your offers are really good. But at the time of emergency you just pull out.
                                What is the solution for this???
