my name is amulya kale
i have a Kawasaki bajaj 4s champion two wheeler. i am paying my bike insurance to the same company for last 10 years now. i used to get my warrant and papers every year nice and smoothly on time until from past two years suddenly i feel oriental insurance has become careless for the customers last year i made cheaque payment for my warrant but even after two months i didn't received renewed copy of y insurance . when i went to ask what was the problem i found out the agent who handled my case was out on vacation for last one month and the cheaque that i had issued was still lying with him and was not debited i complained to the branch manager after next 4 days of daily reminding them to solve my problem they finally gave me my renewed insurance it was a waste of my time and money as i had to go to the office and no one was opting to solve but just ask me to talk to different peoples in office for the solution.

This year it the same story and even worse service now i haven't even received my warrant only. thankfully i know that my due date to pay the insurance money for renewal every year is 11 of April when i called up to them the answer they gave me is even shocking that he was out on vacation and couldn't send me the warrant. and then started telling me that here the work is very lazy as its a government office and all.
but its not fare how can they be so irresponsible. am attachin in my copy of last insurance paper that i revieved from them


please look in to my problem am fed up of the oriental insurance company ltd

    My ALTO car # CH03-Y 4736 met with an accident in month of jan-2010 and after surveyor's (Mr. Manmohan Singh) inspection we had submitted claim of Rs 4000-/- to Oriental insurance ambala cantt on 09-Feb-10 (Claim # 31/10/177).The claim had been attached with estimated amount and we had paid Rs 4000-/- to vehicle denting person.

    After taking more than one months time and deduction of Rs 500 for file handling charges. Oriental insurance has released check of 2200-/- amount on last week of march-2010. Which is not at all acceptable for a customer who did not claim since last four years and eligible for no claim bonus from the insurance company.

    We would like to bring your kind notice towards malpractice of surveyor Mr. Manmohan Singh who did not handle our case properly and prepare the claim with lesser amount.Even though we had paid full estimated amount (Rs 4000-/-) to the repair vendor.

    Request you to help us in reclaiming the remaining amount from oriental insurance ambala cantt.

      Dear Sir,
      I have purchased a bike(F-Z) from Ghaziabad (Yamaha showroom) dated 22 March-09. 23 march-09 i went to my hometown Bulandshahr when i was coming Bulandshahr to Ghaziabad i got a small accident near at Dadri, in accident i loss my allele wheels both. i have repaired my bike from authorised yamaha showroom and i got a bill(4548/-), i have submit my all documents related claim in oriental office, after this i got a call from servaior , i was meet him and i show all claim related documents to him but i couldn't show my registration certificate he told me that u have to submit a copy of registration certificate and i done it in office, but till today i could not get my payment which cost was 4548/- somthing.In this time i have contact with oriental insurance office but could not good result , in August i got a call by second servaior that u meet me in any working day regarding claim, i call to servaior when i reached to Ghaziabadhe told me me i have no time today you meet me next day, i sad to him sir i am work in a private company i can not many leaves he told me u can come next sunday , sunday i come dehradu to Ghaziabad i call him morning 11 am he told me u have to come 9 pm but i told him sir i can't come in night than he told kuch pane ke lia kuch khona padega bas 2 minuts ka kam hai than i submit my report, i have many try to meet him in day but he was not ready. After some time i got a accident and i loss my phone and loss MR. R.B.Garg no. i have change my job and working in Hissar( Haryana). One day i go insurance office and meet Mr. Amarjeet singh, he was the officer who pass my claim, after this i take mane leave for this but i could not any positive responce.
      To take many leave i lost my job from my company and now i am not earning money any sourse now what can i do dear sir please tell me who is responsable for this.
      Today i have sent a legal notice to oriental insurance by court.

        i have a puechase new hyundai i10 car in starline automobiles,(satna) and my insurence done by the oriental insurence company limited and the company is wrong insured's name surendra chandra gupta
        s/o mr.heeralal gupta then i camlaint in company then my policy is correction by company then compny

          Dear Sir,
          I m Brajesh rana would like to submitt a complaint Regarding Vechicle No: DL5SZ-3004 (Late. Shri Ravinder Kumar Tomar) was crashed in a road accident in Ghaziabad in march 2008. I have already submitted all related documents for claim to Oriental Insurance, Chandani Chowk Branch to BM Mr. Ramesh and his contact no. is [protected] before 02 years. Surveyer Name Mr. Naresh thareja and his contact no.[protected]. After crash the vehicle i have servicing the vehicle in M/S. Rajeev Raj, Durgapuri and contact person Mr. Chanchal-[protected].
          I have not received any claim regarding this. So i requesting you to plse. look for the same ASAP. because Mr. Ramesh (BM Oriental insurance) not picking my phone and after reaching to office he replied me that it will take 15day.

            we have arealready submitted complaint reg.harassment in insurance of my car with cash less sheme.with Khanna branch.sir your officials in the co.are harassing in the name of verification of licence of my son manjeet but there is nothing being done by the ins. officials .they are simply depending on the vendors they are least concerned for my compulsion. only the vendor at jalandhar DTO office submitted the paper for verification and the same could be done in the start. I had undergone Kidney Transplant and not in position to go to my office whereas my vehicle is ready for the last days. I request you look intto the matter so that I can save my life from infection.With this type of service given by the co. ti me is a bitter experience . i fail to understand this cash less insurance.Kindly do the needfull thanks.

            My car PB08 BG 8690 SANTRO MET WITH AN ACCIDENT ON 29/11/2009 NIGHT AND WAS CARRIED TO PIONEER HUNDAIY BAST JODHEWAL LUDHIANA.EVERYTHING WAS DONE WITH THE ORDER OF INSURANCE CO AND THE VEHICLE IS READY FOR THE LAST 15 DAYS BUT THE PERSONS CONCERNED IN INSURANCE IS DILLY DELAYING FOR THE REASON BEST KNOWN TO THEM .
            MY INS.POLICY IS UNDER CASH LESS SCHEME AND MY VEHICLE IS NOT BEING DELIVERED TO ME

              Respected Sir,

              I had insured my house for 16 years from Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd Satna (MP)-485001 vide policy No.272/2007. On 08/04/2009 a fired accident ocurred in my house due to coocking gas Cylinder and a lot of loss of my insured house becomes. On 09/04/2009 i.e. on day later I informed to said Inusrance Co. in this regard. A survey team of Oriental Insurance co. has come my house and sueveyed the deffected rooms of my house and has assessed loss for Rs.23,413/-. As per direction of Oriental Insurance co. offical all required documents have been deposited to Oriental Insurance co. on 22/04/2009 for claim of insurance cover. However, Orienatal co. Satna(MP)-485001 neither given insurance claim nor any information given in this regard.

              another reminder also given alongwith all enclosures deposited earlier for claim but no information received as yet

                Dear Sir/Madam,

                I would like to bring to your attention the kind of services that are being offered at some of the branches of 'Oriental Insurance'. I write this mail because of not one instance that the company has shown to its customers, a behavior totally un-appreciable and unprofessional.

                I happen to go to the 'Oriental Insurance' branch in Edapally,Near Modern bread factory, Ernakulam, Kerala for a vehicle insurance. I explained to one of the managers there, that my vehicle insurance (which was previously done on Oriental Insurance, Mysore) had lapsed and that I wanted to
                apply for a fresh insurance cover. I had all the necessary supporting documents and my vehicle ready for the general inspection. I was filled with not only awed, but also disgust on the blunt reply of the manager, which was, that the entire office ("we") was "too busy" to be filling up new applications and doing the needed "data entry". Inspite of the fact that I was ready to wait, he repeatedly said that they could not make me a fresh insurance.

                This was not all, the first instance I visited the same office I saw the papers of one of my friends thrown across the desk when one of the officers read that his insurance had lapsed.

                I ask, is this the ‘customer first’ policy that the company follows?

                "National insurance" which was across the street, thereafter promptly made me a fresh insurance in 20 minutes flat absolutely without any hassles and they happen to be very polite as well.

                I do anticipate a reply and I hope steps be taken against those responsible, or rather should I say, irresponsible.

                  my bike pulser 180(DL 9S V 0690) was lost on 1 nov. 2007,
                  i fulfill her all conditions except non tracing report, because my bike engine was found and police said that the another no. punched on it, so we just filling your case in the court. In between a letter come from them, that you please submit your non tracing report within 1 week, so i was go there office and telled about the story, they said that we just want non tracing report otherwise we will close the file. A another letter come from them 4 days before that you will not fulfilled our conditions so we are closing your file.
                  please help me out what will i do.

                    Subject: Deficiency in service promised by the insurance company
                    [--Policy No[protected]MDI[protected]/48/2010/20 Validity[protected]]

                    Dear Sir,
                    I was admitted in Sir Gangaram Hospital, New Delhi on 12.07.09 under diagnosis of Adeno Carcinoma Stomach and was operated by Dr S. Nundy on 13.07.09.I was discharged from hospital on 19.07.09.

                    The relevant papers of the policy handed over to me clearly underlines that I am entitled to a room rent of 1% of the sum assured that is Rs.5000 per day for Rs 5,00,000 policy bought by me. No where it was qualified that it is related to nature of disease etc. However in the authorization letter received from MD India, TPA of M/S Oriental Insurance co. ltd, a restriction of Rs. 1,750 per day on room rent was imposed (1% of the sum approved this illness) without any reason.

                    I had to pay Rs. 33,600 @ 4200 per day for 8 days to the Hospital against a reimbursement of Rs. 14,000 @ 1750 only from Insurance co. This is not in line with rate agreed at the time of renewal of the policy that is Rs.5000 per day.
                    Vide my letters dt 22 0709 n 28 08 09 I requested them to reimburse the difference that is Rs. 19,600 at the earliest, but the Insurance co failed to respond.

                    I feel this is a fit case of deficiency in promised services on the part of M/S THE ORIENTAL INSURANCE CO LTD.
                    I therefore request you to kindly help me and instruct the insurance co. to pay me the balance amount without further delay.

                    Did you appeal in consumer court?? I am also looking to purchase the family floater policy from oriental insurance.
                    Hello this is really an exception. We are servicing a large no. of Oriental Happy Family Floater policies and have never faced this issue. It would be really interesting to find out what happened to this case eventually?

                    I am going to admit my mother for some illness. I have HAPPY FAMILY FLOATER POLICY with Sum Insured 2.5 L. I am keen to know whether they approve 2500INR per day according to this. However, my mother had suffered this kind of diesease earlier and there too we admitted her for the same disease, though mediclaim policy was individual at that time. So my query how much they will pay per day charges and per day nursing and medicines charges?

                      I am a Mediclaim policy holder ( My Last Policy No: 313303/48/2009/423) of Oriental Insurance Co., Barrackpore Branch (W.B.), Branch Code:313303 since[protected]. Then my yearly Premium was Rs. 2491/- for full family of three members.Within 3 years of my continued policy I claimed twice for Rs. 3400/- & 20, 000/- .Due to two claims my present premium had reached at Rs. 6, 200/- for imposing extra loading on premium .Actually mediclaim is supposed to incur the medical expenses on requirement and premium is paid for that purpose as per agreement . It is obviously a hiden condition of the Co and it is not disclosed to the customer when he is becoming a Mediclaim policy holder . It comes to knowledge of a customer when premium is paid next year after claim .This hidden condition i.e. imposing extra loading on subsquent premium after any claim should be stopped or disclosed clearly to the customer while purchasing a mediclaim policy. It is also observed that extra loading varies from a branch to branch of the same Insurance Co. It is also experienced that officials of the Oriental Insurance Co. gives importance to agent than interest of a customer and despite of a written complaint against an agent a customer is not permitted to change his agent . I hope, IRDA will look into this injustice matter .

                      I paid Rs 13100 in Dec, 2007. Then my wife suffered from Angina, for which she was treated in hospital for something called Angiography and later angioplasty and stent. I am having policy from 1994 0r 1995. Regularly paying premium year after year. Because the hospital charged the amount under cashless policy, I was asked to pay in December 2008 an amount of 23608 citing loading. Now the notice has come asking me to pay almost Rs 43000 because of loading second time. They know I can't migrate to another company because of age and health. After all the other companies are also Birds of the same feather flock together. The mediclaim policy appears to be sort of a loan repayable. If the central govt introduces a scheme of medical deposit with a little more interest for a long term which can be withdrawn only by hospitals till the date of maturity/death of the insured it will not cause any heartburn. AK

                        Sub: Complaint for the arrangements for the health check-up against obtaining a medical insurance
                        Dear Sir,
                        I would like to bring to your notice the hardship your customers are going through for the unfavourable arrangements made for going through the health checkup before obtaining the medical insurance.
                        My father, who is looking for medical insurance at the age of 63, had to struggle a lot and was abused in turn, while trying to get the health check-up done.
                        The complaint is against:
                        The Sagar Clinic
                        No. 200/5, 9Th Cross, 7th Main
                        Jayanagar, 2nd Block
                        Bangalore – 560 011

                        1. The authorized centers where health check-up for Oriental is limited to kind of outlets such Sagar Clinic in Bangalore which is primarily run by rookies.
                        2. The charges are no less at Rs 2550, comparable to one stop and friendly hospitals such as Apollo or Wokhardt
                        3. Form reception to Doctor to Technicians for TMT etc, everywhere there are 2 to 3 learner employees trying to work around their job with conflicting views… a scene more prevailing in a college laboratory
                        4. The irony is, none of your authorized outlets are capable of providing service to senior citizens at one go.
                        a. My father was called at morning stating all work will be done in 2-3 hours.
                        b. We had to wait for more than 1 hour just for the eye specialist to turn up
                        c. Yet, after 3 hours we were told to come back in the evening at 07:30 since the Ultra Sound technician failed to turn-up
                        d. We went back at 07:00, until 08:00, no sign of the person who can complete the remaining test o[censored]ltra Sound
                        e. Upon enquiring again at 08:30, the receptionist Ms Shamim, she claims she is not the one who asked us to come at this time and she cannot help us unless we keep waiting.
                        f. When pressurized again, she rudely asks us to take our money and leave the premises
                        g. We opted for the money after this disappointment
                        h. Yet, while leaving my father was literally pushed out of the premises by one Mr. Sadath Delvi who claims to be the in-charge of the outlet
                        This is a gross disrespect to a senior citizen and a matter of discouragement to look up again at oriental Insurance for the basic needs.
                        I am sure, you will notice this compliant with immediate attention and take necessary steps to avoid repentance of such incidents, especially for elders. Such outlets should be straight away disqualified to conduct health check-up on your behalf.

                        My motor cycle No DL06S R 3297 Bajaj Hoodibaba model 2004, got accident on 16.4.2009, I repaired with Royal Motors Najafgarh, New Delhi.                         Sagar Clinics are notorious for their indifferent attitude. They are only interested in making money by cheating people under the guise of a high tech hospital. I had a bad experience with them which is posted as a separate complaint on this site. In spite of my repeated letters to their Director, Vice Chairman and Chairman, nobody has bothered to respond. People should be careful in dealing with Sagar Clinics and Sagar Hospitals in Bangalore.
                        Sagar Clinic is well known for the services they render kindly retract your statement and apologise for the same with management for bettering your services. kindly we have a very good relationship with the doctors and staff at sagar Clinic jayanagar 2nd block.

                        I bought a new bolero slx on 29/06/2009 from Ranchi in the name of my wife Mrs. Kanchan Lata D'cruz as it is my native land and i brought it to Ambikapur (Chhattisgarh) as I work in Central Bank of India, Ambikapur. Unfortunately it met with an accident on 03/07/2009 as we where coming back from Akaltara, Korba after getting our vehicle blessed.

                        But I am sorry to inform you that till date we have not received our claim and your respected Officers are postponing it day by day by telling us some or the other reason although we have submitted all the documents and in opinion all the things are fine and valid. And i also want to inform you that we got it repared our vehicle by taking money from my Friends and i have to return their money but because of your officers grace i have not been able to do it till now.

                          Dear Concern,
                          Refer claim no 272300/31/2009/441, Vehicle no. UP14 AF 3498, (Chasis no 00527, Engine no-38721) in the name of Mr. Pradeep Kumar, 1/592, Vasundhara, Ghaziabad,

                          Claim has already been passed but at the final stage claim cheque has not been released and the claimant has been asked to manage and submit "NCRB" report, though it is not mandatory on the part of claimant and never communicated to the claiment during the entire process of claim.

                          Claimant is shocked, disappointed and feels harassed by such attitude of The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. and requests immediate release of cheque.

                            My grievance :

                            All the documents to the company(Oriental Insurance) have been furnished as and when demanded and some of them have been submitted even twice ( NCRB Report Dated 22/Sep/2008 and 21/Jan/2009). The FIR, Both the Keys of the vehicle, FIR duly accepted by the hon'ble court, Letter to RTO (about keeping the file of stolen vehicle in safe custody) and all other required and important documents have been submitted to the Company over this span of 9 months.
                            Whenever I call the Sector-2, Noida office, i either get no response or a response that the case has not been processed yet" with no further information. The Consumer Commission has clearly stated that "A policy holder who

                            The reason given for late intimation to Company" about theft of the above vehicle well explained in the application submitted by me and is very much factual. I am giving the details of incidents in order of chronology.

                            17-06-08 = Date of Accident
                            17-06-08 = Intimation given to the Police (Submitted a copy to oriental for this repost)
                            18-06-08 = Intimation given over phone to

                            I was asked to submit a written application regarding the Accident with a copy of FIR.

                            19-06-08 = The FIR was written by the Sec-24 Police and was handed over to me in the evening ( Submitted to the Oriental Insurance )
                            21-06-08 = Saturday, Oriental office closed
                            22-06-08 = Sunday, Oriental office closed

                            23-06-08 = The written application was Submitted on Monday morning with a copy of RC, Insurance paper, FIR copy and filled up Motor Claim Form.

                            After around 9 months of the accident, they have stopped the processing of my claim for no apparent valid reason and they dont entertain any phone call and emails. I have been spending all my time and money in
                            i) Hiring lawyer to get the FIR duly accepted by the hon'ble court
                            ii) Taking Leaves from my work and running to the NCRB office for the report
                            iii) Sending the bank Account Statements, Statements required from witnesses and all other documents demanded by insurance agent (Rajeev Bhusan, Ph: [protected]) .

                            I reserve the right to take action and demand the claim money and charges for harassment from Oriental Insurance.

                              I don't know exactly. But can help you from my legal and experience in insurance industry background. Just ask the officer to give in writing that he doesn't want to renew the policy or send the mail to the regional in-charge of the company along with your email id to send you a link to payment of renewal premium citing all the facts. your policy will be renewed.
                              I am having oriental mediclaim cashless policy in corporate account please change my mother name on card.please tell me the procedure.

                                my big brother have mediclaim from oriental insurance company from last 5 to 6 month.
                                last month he admit in hospital for 10 to 11 days .my brother making a mistake when he admit in hospital he forget to inform insurance company. after few days he remember he have mediclaim .
                                he took all bills and report from hospital and go to the insurance agent. insurance agent clearly say
                                u r not inform thats why your claim is not pass. plz told me wat iam doing . hospital bll is 13000/---

                                  I have Purchased a bicycle from one dealer of Bangalore. The dealer suggested me to get Insurance done of my Bicycle from The Oriental insurance company. I did that thought the claim procedure will be easy.
                                  I am visiting Police station from past three days for the FIR of the theft. First of all the Police People are laughing at me why i did the insurance for a cycle second they are not ready to file my FIR because the value of the product is just 3400 Rs.
                                  when i contacted the bank they are saying first u file a FIR and after 30 day the police will issue some certificate which says the bicycle is not found.
                                  What to talk of Issuing a certificate when the police is not ready to file a FIR of the same.
                                  If i ready to pay police the amount for FIR which may be equal to the cost of the cycle i believe there are very less chance the insurance company will respond my claim.
                                  I am really recommend all of my friend not to get the Bicycle Insurance from any of the Insurance company.
                                  I appreciate if some one will suggest on the same.

                                  Hi,

                                  You should get the FIR from police. If you are not getting in the local police station, take it to the next level. The FIR has nothing to do with the value of the stolen item. It is the right of the citizen to get the FIR filed. Any insurance company will ask you for the same if you are claiming insurance. I had a similar experience some time back. It was regarding my stolen shoe. The price was around Rs. 4000/- The other thing that one of my lawyer friends suggested was to send a complaint to the police station as registered post. It is better if you just paste the stamp on the letter itself, without putting it in an envelope. And, after couple of days, invoke the right of information act to get the status of your complaint. I know it is painful, but if we do not do it, things are not going to change.

                                  Any lawyers reading this, please suggest what my friend should do.

                                    I am holding mediclaim policies since 1996 for maximum amount for myself, wife and 2 children and have not made any claims. The accumulated no claim bonus on 2 policies was around the maximum allowed till 2006. from 2007 onwards the cumulative bonus has been withdrawn and the company is not providing reason for this even after an apllication under RTI.
                                    iT SEEMS THE COMPANY WANTS TO cheat its cumstomer out of benefits occuring to them after 10 years and does not want to even reply.

                                    i want to ask weather company has stopped providing bonus.if so will chane over to some other company
                                    Co have not provided cummulative bonus. Made it zero in the current renewal and shown it as a new policy.
                                    On query they say that bonus has been withdrawn.
                                    They have not provided any discount either in premium also.
                                    Why cant insurance authority take these as complaint and proceed with Oriental insurance to sort it out
                                    Mediclaim policies suitable for me and my family
                                    I am also seeking cumulative bonus from Oriental Ins., But co. refused,

                                      I was getting mediclaim insurance since september 2001 from Oriental insurance co.Ltd, Divisional office No.15, South Ext-part-I, New Delhi and paid regularly premiums and got the policy renewed year after year.No claim was taken till date.In the year October, 2007 i paid the premium for renewal of mediclaim policy by cheque drawn on State Bank of India, Flyover market, Defence Colony, New Delhi.Though there was sufficient balance in my saving account but the banker wrongly dishonoured the cheque which later on confirm by the banker and banker requested to the insurance company to represent the cheque admiting the mistake.The Oriental insurance company neither return the cheque to the complainant nor represent in the bank.

                                      The complainant is a Senior citizen and the insurance company wanted fresh cheque alongwith medical report for a new mediclaim policy instead of renewal the older one.Due to that the complainant would be denied the benifit of any disease for 2 years from the date of new policy.

                                      We seek your valuable advice and oblige.

                                      Sir, My PUB-Oriental Royal Mediclaim policy No - 144000/48/2014/18355 - period of insurance from 20/12/2014 to 19/12/2015. Next Premium payable as stated by my PNB branch Bodakdev, Ahmedabad is Rs.6930.
                                      As on 20/10/15, I am going out of India, I want to pay the cheque immediately. Please, let me know whether this will be acceptable or not. Every time I pay the premium cheque to my bank branch. This time the bank denied to accept the cheque stating that the insurance company will not accept cheque so early. Please clarify how can I submit the cheque before I leave Ahmedabad.
