Last year i bought Samsung galaxy note2 from universal store and get it insured from oriental insurance. recently my mobile screen got damaged i applied for the claim. Insurance company rejected my claim by saying this that partial damage is not covered . But policy they provided to me in that no where it's mentioned like this that partial damaged not covered. if i contact to the company they are giving me another number if i contact on that number they provide me another number. Till now i haven’t received any proper response from company. I am totally frustrated now. I have attached the policy copy for your reference.

        Mediclaim was made in the month April 2013.It was rejected erroneousely stating that the Pol.has not completed min.of 2 years though the policy was in force for the last 6 years.The details of the previous pols. was submitted on 21st May 2013.Several reminders were sent.But there was no response.

        May request your good office to help me settle the claim.

          Oriental Insurance Company Ltd — Issuance of cheque books

          Sir,

          Re: Savings bank account no.[protected] (since 1993)

          I had submitted a request for issuance of cheque books in main branch of Faridabad about a month ago. Today when I went to collect them, I was informed that since several cheques are being shown unused in my account, new cheque books can't be issued. The various series of cheque books containing unused cheques, as informed to me, are as under:

          1) 8961341
          2) 307001
          3) 307021
          4) 297221

          As per the pass books available with me since August 2004, only the last series i.e, 297221 is appearing in my records and each and every cheque of this book is shown debited in my account from 29.08.2005 to 30.12.2005. This shows that there is some error in your system. Similar can be the fate of other series, if at all they are issued in my name.

          The current cheque books bearing my name were issued in June 2009 from Mumbai office only because no cheque was lying unused at that time. Therefore, I request you to kindly look into the matter and get all these cheques, shown as unused, destroyed from your records and arrange to issue me two cheque books containing 20 cheques each as requested formally in the concerned office at the earliest. I am in urgent need of them.

            Respected sir,
            This is to bring in your notice that i have been your policy holder with policy no 233200/48/2013/1105 for last three years. I am regularly paying the premium against my policy and my policy is due for renewal on 10/7/13 . But I am very much annoyed and disturbed because my claim for the surgical treatment has been rejected, this has shattered my faith and I feel cheated .
            My wife was detected with the left eye cataract on date 9/3/2013 and she was treated for the same in SGL Hospital , Jalandhar on 13/4/2013. As this was very precise and atraumatic surgery so she was discharged from the hospital same day.
            I had informed on your helpline numbers about the treatment, got the reference number and deposited all the required documents well in time. Despite all my efforts, it was informed to me by the company that I cant get the claim amount(by the letter dated 7/5/2013).
            I want to ask the company that why I was treated indifferently when:-
            1) My policy is running for three continuous years rather than two years as mentioned in claim refusal letter.
            2) Documents were complete and deposited well in time.
            3) Cataract surgery is atraumatic and does not require patient hospitalisation unless some complication arises.
            4) If the company says cataract is chronic and takes time to develop then what about the medical examination and reports that were done at the start of the policy.
            I want the company to reconsider the case and give us the claim amount otherwise there is no reason why should I continue my policy. So kindly look into the case urgently.

              Subject : Failure to Avail Insurance Claim of my Bajaj Pulsar 220F since last 11 months

              This is to inform you that my Bajaj Pulsar 220f was stolen on 20.06.2012 which was registered on the name of my mother Mrs. Manjeet Grover. However, since then I have been on rounds from the office of the insurance company to the police officials and calling them every alternate day, but all of them are just making lame excuses.
              Kindly Help me redressing my complaint and find the latter attchached below which I have sent to the insurance company after numerous telephonic reminders.

              Dear Sir,
              Subject : Failure to Avail Insurance Claim of my Bajaj Pulsar 220F since last 11 months.
              This is to inform you that my Bajaj Pulsar 220f was stolen on 20.06.2012 which was registered on the name of my mother Mrs. Manjeet Grover. However, since then I have been on rounds from the office of the insurance company to the police officials and calling them every alternate day, but all of them are just making lame excuses. The officials of your company are just adding one or the other formality every time and just delaying the process.
              It’s adding tons of costs to me each day, starting from the interest costs, to the cost of my time, and other variable expenses including phone calls and petrol expenses. Its just that I am a decent and honest citizen of this country that they are delaying the claim. It seems as if your officials want to make money out of it. Even after fulfilling all the checklist documents now they again want the application of the FIR , what the hell should I make out from it, when they have the attested copy of the FIR in original, why do they want the application letter ? I also informed that I don’t possess the application letter as it has already been deposited with the police officials and since they have processed the file for non-traceable, so now its almost impossible to get it back again.
              Moreover, the behavior of your officials starting from the one who visited my home, also have been very harsh and unethical.
              This is my last and final reminder, and if any action is not taken immediately then I will be forced to knock the door of the consumer court and shall recover the amount of claim along with variable costs incurred till date as well as opportunity costs which amounts to around 34000/-.
              Moreover, I am even planning to shift the insurance of my other two cars from your company to some better insurance provider who can at least listen and answer my grievances. Further, your company and its officials must understand that whenever you loose the consumer he will spread bad word of mouth and that will hamper your image.
              The people of your company have made the mockery of the whole system itself. It is very sad on the part of Oriental insurance as well as its officials that they are not able to process a claim in 11 months. This is truly unethical and unprofessional as well.
              Hence, I kindly request you to please listen to my humble request and sort out the matter on urgent basis.

                    I(ravi nair) have taken insurance(policy no 421500/Gmc/2012/1731_ex) for my mother(rethi menon) through mediassist(tpa) . Her ID card number is [protected]. On 23/12/12, she was admitted in casualty(emergency ward) in fortis hospital, mulund due to severe pain on right leg. She was not able to walk and sleep. Later after doing mri and series of xray scan, it was made clear that the pain is arising as result of some irregularities in discs on the spine. She has been admitted for 2 days in the same hospital. After undergoing treatment for 2 days under the guidance of ortho surgeon(dr. Vikas gupte), she was discharged after the pain has reduced.
                    I made the final bill payment and submitted the discharge letter, original bills, mri/Xray scan reports to mediassist for reimbursement. After following up repeatedly, I was told that the claim got rejected as there was no valid and active line of treatment.
                    For the problem(multilevel disc dessication with end plate changes creating acute pain in right gluteal region on low back which affected her back and legs due to which she was not able perform any body movement)identified after the diagnosis, she was admitted in the emergency ward because of severity of the problem. However these problems can never be a treated by surgery as per ortho surgeon who treated her. This problem can only be treated by ailing medicines followed by continous monitoring. If required, the type and quantity of medicines will change. Also both feet were tied with ropes supporting heavy weights at other end. She was discharged only after she was declared fit for movements. Therefore the treatment was completely valid and had active line of tratment.
                    Require your cooperation in this issue as the claim was rejected given vague reasons. I am following up this case for a month now with no peace of mind due to huge loss in money.

                      This has reference to our problem regarding the stolen of our Tractor, I would like to bring to your notice that my Tractor - New Holland 3230 vied Regn. No. HR-30D4486 was stolen by some unidentified persons on 24.01.2011 at Mid-Night and a FIR was lodged in nearest Police Station at CAMP Police Station , Distt : Palwal on 24.01.2011 Morning.



                      In this regard, I have informed the matter to The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., Palwal as the Tractor was covered under Policy No. 272401/47/2010/2238, but, despite my repeated visits and requests to Mr. Anil Aggarwal, Branch Manager of Palwal neither I have received any claim nor any positive response as on date i.e. my each and every visits to the Insurance Office, he is telling your file is sent to Head Office, Delhi and we have yet not received the same as and when we will get it we will inform you accordingly.



                      Sir, we are awaiting for the claim around 2 years, so, you are requested to your kind goodself to look in the matter sympathetically and I would be highly grateful to you if could consider the matter on priority and take immediate necessary steps to release my claim

                      In continuation to mails, I would like to bring to kind notice that my repeated requests for my claim against theft of my Tractor No. HR 30D 4486 I have harassed by Mr. Anil Aggarwal for 25% commission of the total claim and when I refused I have received a letter dated 6.12.212 from the Office of Branch Manager, The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd., Palwal,

                      After our all the request and this communication when we have ignore to give him 25% amount of our clame then he send us a mail that the claim is nill because the insured tractor was not being used selling for Agriculture purpouse but was used for commercial purpose. I.E. Loading Yamuna reti. thats why your claim is nill. but it is not right because a farmer has the work of yamuna reti at their farm work.

                          My name is Gurminderpal Singh. last year we bought a new car on my father's name (Jaswinder Singh).
                          Our car met with an accident on 4 Aug this year and till now i have not got claim.
                          I have insurance from oriental insurance company (http://www.orientalinsurance.org.in/) with following details.

                          I have insurance from oriental insurance company (http://www.orientalinsurance.org.in/). I was made to pay Rs 80000 as they dont offer cash less at any other city than Chandigarh. At first they said that you would get this on 24 September. when we called them they said they need English translation of FIR copy. and then gave it on 1 Oct. because of their mistake they wrote my father name instead of my name as the driver name at the time of accident. when i called them they said my Driving Licence has gone to DTO office at jalandhar. and it would take 2 -3 weeks and after it come and it would take another 2 weeks to process my claim.

                          I have emailed to [protected]@orientalinsurance.co.in and anu.[protected]@orientalinsurance.co.in. but there reply was not useful.
                          This person [protected]@orientalinsurance.com is handling our claim case.

                          I have made a insurance of my car from 'Oriental Insurance Company' and approx. two and half years ago my car damaged accidentally.But they haven't given any claims for this.

                          This is to inform you that I had filed a claim for my vehicle which was theft on 12.03.2008. I claimed on 13.3.08 at Jorhat Oriental Insurance Office. After getting all required documents I had submitted the documents on 08.05.2009 for further process. I had to give one application for re-opening of claim file with the documents. The file was closed due to long time police investigation. But after submitting all documents I have not received my claim amount till date.
                          Please let me know why it is taking long time after giving all documents and police final report. I am not able to get information regarding my claim by visiting office or calling to regional office, Guwahati (Mrs Dhar) repeatedly. I think there should be a TAT for the process. Not a single communication had been made from oriental office for the delay of the settlement.
                          Please do the needful at your end and release my claim as soon as possible.

                          oriental insurance — claim not settled,

                          I had oriental group mediclaim, wen i had accident and I filed the claim, No feedback given on any claim from karwat health who is the oriental insurance company, and when i spoke with oriental insurance company, they deny to pay the claim because for late query submission. But they didn't gave any query document.

                          It is one of worst experience i have about oriental insurance and cannot believe on insurance company. As per my view these peoples wants to pull money from market and not interested to pay genuine claim by giving some useless reason to customer.

                          Pl don't make any insurance deal such worst company and gets headache forr yourself.

                              On 18th March 2010, I lost my bike Pulsar from Gurgaon.
                              Bike was insured from The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd.
                              I have submitted all the papers whatever they had requested.
                              In the month of April 2012, they told me that they require Last Insurance papers, I told them that last 2 times I was insuring from The Oriental Insurance Company Ltd. only.

                              They told me that they will take it from their office.....

                              I had taken so many leaves from my office just because of this work, Most of the time Officers are on leave or they told me to wait outside the office, I waited there 4-5 Hours then after frustration I left from there.

                              This incidence happened so many times with me in last 2 Years.


                              Last 3-4 Months I am trying to approach them but they are not reachable. Even they are not picking my Phones.

                              I am working in a private company and I can not take much leave but these guys are playing with me.

                              Please help me out I am highly frustrated.......

                                  Medical Insurance Reimbursement Claim in r/o Claim no: 2188925 amounting to Rs. 1,22,334/- (against PNB Oriental Royal Insurance Policy No. 263100/48/2012/264 ; MA-ID[protected] in r/o Mr. Anil Kumar Sharma having Saving Account no. [protected] at PNB, Argyle House Branch, The Mall, Shimla - 171001

                                  Mr. Anil Sharma, the claimant/insured had suffered Brain Stroke and immediately admitted at the Artemis Hospital, Gurgaon (Haryana) on 4.1.2012 from where he was discharged on 12.1.2012. TPA had denied cashless facility on the plea that the claimant was having history of Diabetes. When the treating doctor certified that the Brain Stroke was neither due to Diabetes nor he was being treated for Diabetes, TPA requested the claimant to submit claim papers only for reimbursement after discharge. When claim papers were submitted, TPA rejected the claim now on the plea that the claimant had a history of Hypertension which was wrong. The patient has never suffered from Hypertension till date and as such there was no question of such treatment. Despite the fact that the treating doctor repeatedly certified that the patient did not have any history of Hypertension and he was not suffering from Hypertension and an occasional BP reading of 150/80 mmHg during hospitalisation of a 67 yrs old patient does not make him a patient of hypertension and even in non hypertensive patient, blood pressure can rise after Brain Stroke, still the TPA rejected the claim. Detailed registered post representations with all related papers (61 in no.) had been submitted to the Oriental Insurance Co. on 30.4.2012 with two subsequent reminders to all concerned by emails including customer Service Deptt. but the claimed amount has not been reimbursed till date. Please intervene in the matter as the claimant (67 yrs) recovering from Brain Stroke is unfortunately under lot of mental stress due to callous attitude and injustice by the Insurance Co & TPA by wrongfully rejecting the claim without any logic, ryme & reason but by an imaginary & incorrect plea despite repeatedly certifying on the contrary by the treating doctor. Choosing the course of litigation in Consumer Court may not be medically advisable for a patient recovering from Acute Brain Stroke but in case the Insurance Co. is not considerate, there is no option but to seek remedy fighting for justice and in that case the Insurance Co. will be liable for all the consequences. An early action is requested in the interest of justice.

                                  motor claim-oriental insurance company — Claim re imbursement

                                  I have insured my car DL3C AP6886 Santro Model-2007 under oriental insurance company for 3, 25, 000.My car got stolen on 31/12/08, i hav submitted my claim papers to the above said company in the month of february, i was told the by the company by mistakenly company insured my car for 3, 25, 000 and actually the value of the car is 2, 85, 000 so they wont give the full amount but i have paid my premium for 3, 25, 000.i have been following it up with the company for the past 6 months, i am not getting any reply from their side, .i dont know the status of my claim.
