Sir,
I am a big tv customer for few years. My set top box adapter stopped working on the previous month. I registered the complaint and they said their service engineer near my location will call me within 2 days..nobody called me..again I called them and they again said the engineer will call me.. I waited 1 month, since there was no response from them I bought a new adapter myself..Till now nobody called me from big TV. But they deducted Rs. 175/- as service charge..Sir is this come under consumer law to deduct service charge without solving the problem...

Reliance Big TV Connection ID No.[protected].

The above connection we have taken on 03.08.2010 and subsequently we have
remitted Rs.800/- vide PIN[protected] and another Rs.800/- PIN.[protected]
in order to avail the service for 2 years. Now the service has been
disconnected. Since we do not know the reason kindly let us know and if you are
not in a position to restore the same immediately please cancel and refund us
the balance amount immediately.

    Now I am regretting, because I am Big TV customer. I took this connection, as this product from Reliance group.

    Let me come to point. We took a Big TV connection nearly 6 months back from my native place Kerala. For the last 3 weeks, we are facing some technical complaint in set top box. But one great part is that every day money is getting deducted from our account. But due inefficiency in customer service the technical issue is still not resolved.

    For getting a better picture, I can explain you Customer Care (am not sure whether its for serving customer) conversation history.

    Day 1 : We called up the customer care and explained the issue. Finally they end up with saying that this issue is due to our electrical connection. But there was no issue in my house the electrical connection

    Day 2: Same story as Day 1

    Day 3: No proper response

    Day 4: Information has been passed saying that they will look from their side. At last technical complaint has registered on 3rd December 2010.

    Day 5: Customer care executive promised that issue will be solved by tomorrow as tomorrow never dies.

    Day 6: Keep saying tomorrow issue will be solved.

    Day 7: Keep saying tomorrow issue will be solved.

    After 2 weeks: Customer care executive Sudha from Chennai told issue will solved and if any customer care executive promised, then you should inform their name so that we can escalate to higher management. We had some hope in her, but as usual nothing happened. Finally customer care executive told that you can cancel the connection. But no amount will refunded and I can keep the set top box and dish in my show case.

      I had registered a complaint (no.[protected] & no.[protected] on 06/12/2010 requesting for re installation of my Reliance Big TV dish.The viewing is discontinued for more than 1 month due to want of re installation. After making the said complaint on 06/12/2010 i have been regularly pursuing with the customer care executives for early action against my said complaint.I had been assured that the issue would be resolved within two days of making the complaint. However a week has already passed since my complaint but no action has been taken by Reliance Big TV till today i.e 13/12/2010.

      I regret to say that it is really harrasing for the customer.
      I have came across a similar problem regarding the reinstallation of reliance BIG TV. My signal has lost a month before. I have made 3 complaints on this issue. Each time their representatives came only to visit my home. For treating my guests I have been charged 175 per visit. Apart from this one of these representatives had taken 250 Rs for making some clamp, which according to him, is necessary for window side installation. Now he is not picking up the phone. I assume he has gone out of the country to make these special clamps. I really can't understand why relaince is not having accessories for window side installation. When I requested for cancellation of this connection they keep on saying it will be resolved within 2 days. Now many 2 days are gone. Now even customer care executives have started disconnecting the call after informing about their poor service.

        I purchased Onida TV 30 Oct,2010 and i get free offer of RELIANCE BIG TV set top box and one month subscription in 399 rupees (Cable cost is excluding).Reliance big tv said due to lot of sail of Onida tv they have to install relince big tv in various place that's why they can install my big tv after some time and my 1 month offer period will be start from my installation date . and after some time they install my big tv 19 nov,2010.but they are showing my installation date 2 nov,2010.and they stop my services on 2,dec,2010.i called to big tv customer care many time but they are saying they are not responsible for that issue dealer is responsible (third party ,Naresh kumar ,devic enterprises).and when i asked to Naresh kumar (third party) he said i am not responsible company is responsible .
        so,sir please solved my problem.

          I tried ordering, choice pay movie on my reliance big tv via sms like 4-5 times with repeated error saying, the service is currently busy. I then opted to order it through their toll free no. I did manage to purchase the movie but few mins later realized their system has selected some other movie instead of the one I had opted for.

          When called on the toll free no. again to change the movie, I was told by the executive the movie can not be replaced or the money can not be refunded either. Instead I will have to follow the whole process again and opt for the movie i wish to watch. But again no guarantee, their system will get it right. My call was then transferred to some senior executive in the company who was rude, manners-less and more importantly barely seem to be understanding english (had opted for english communication through their system). He repeatedly kept telling me its impossible, to do a refund. I mean, how stupid is that !! when you don't have a limit on accepting the payments then why limitations on refunding?? When asked for a name to register complain, he reverted with 3 different names (Salim Pathan was one of it, not sure if its the original one).

          This was my first knot with reliance big tv's interactive service, and must say it was really pathetic !! I am not going for any of their paid services from here on. Highly disappointing !!

            Hi...

            I have applied for a Reliance Big TV DTH connection.One representative came to me to offer the connection.I agreed with all the terms and conditions.I have submitted a post dated cheque. I was promised that i will get the connection with in 5 days from the day i applied.I got confirmation call from the customer service also.I was waiting for the connection from last 20 days.Nobody called me.Today i got a call from reliance big tv regarding the same connection.They ordered me to give the cheque againAs i took out the money from my a/c,I couldn't trust the person,as he lied to me that i will get the connection within 5 days.Now i am ready to pay the amount.But i didnt like the serivce at all,as they are misleading their customers.So here by i want to consumer complaints forum to take an action against the servic provied by the people who are with reliance big tv.I like the company,but this kind of servic may spoil their name in the market.


            Hope i will get some positive responce from the forum

              while im talking with one of the Customer Service Assoiate named Akshay at 1:06pm dated 02/12/2010 from the mobile number [protected] of Bigtv Customer Care, then he harrased me for long 28-30 minutes, and after that he wanted to talk with the customer.
              when I educate him that customer not able to talk in hindi or english any language except Bengali , then he said that "customer must have able to speak in those two languages,."
              for this reason only that customer not able to speak in hindi or english , so he wasn't do the activation as per his company norms.
              what ever I know that we are living in a contry named india, and as a country man we all respect all the languages all over in the country. So my question is that how a man sitting over a call centre in bombay can disrespect the other languages except our national language ??????????????????????????

                I have a Bigtv DTH connection with smart card number :[protected], reistered in the name of Abdul Khader. I face a problem whenever I get the connection recharge using my registered credit card and face a serious customer service problem and nobody at the customer care has a convincing answer to my problem.

                I got my connection recharged on 28/11/2010 morning using my HDFC bank credit card for Rs 248/- which is registered with BigTV for my monthly top up. The services were not resumed even after the recharge and getting the confirmation from the BigTV that the payment from my credit card has been received, I kept calling the customer care all day long and I was told that the payment is not received, when I called up my Credit card bank HDFC , I was given the transaction number and told that the payment has already been done to BigTV, I again called up the BigTV customer care and gave the transaction number given by HDFC (transaction number : 5699).

                My complaint was registered and I was given a complaint number[protected] and was told the services will resume in three hours, again after three hours when the services didn’t resume I called up the BigTV and after a long wait of one hour over the call the service to my connection was resumed after whole day making calls to the customer care at [protected].

                To my surprise again after one day on 29/11/2010 and I got a message on my phone saying my connection has been disconnected and I need to recharge my account and I have a negative balance.

                Now I also got a message on my mobile saying the service request number[protected] is closed and trust the issue was resolved, whereas my issue is further deteriorated.

                I don’t expect such a pathetic service from such a big and respected company like Reilance which takes pride in calling itself ‘India’s best digital TV service’. I have been its customer since the launch of this product in the market when the product was given for double the price than what it is being offered now.

                I am now fed up of this problem every month and now I am switching over to another company for connection for lack of proper service but before that I hope the company gives me the service for which I have paid for which if I do not get I will have to claim from the consumer court.

                BIG TV — Pathetic services

                Big TV has absolutely parthetic service, and they should not operate in a competitive marketplace.

                When I got Big TV in November last year, the team that came home to install the box never told me that most of the channels will be paid for. Then, I had to call the customer care number, which was hardly answered, to get the channels I wanted. Shockingly, they did not have packages for the channels I wanted- including Star World, MTV, Channel V and Colors. In fact, they did not even have Colors as an option.

                The least that Mr. Anil Ambani's 'prestigious and trusted' company can do is to provide channels that the customers want,

                Then I made the second biggest mistake (the first being choosing Big TV) of getting the connection recharged. The Big TV agents came home, charged some Rs.280 for giving us the channels we wanted (we were lucky enough to have the options of Colors, Star World and the music channels this time). However, because their systems were down, Big TV was unable to update their systems, and revive the channels we had requested for. It has been 10 days today, and nothing has come out of it. And you want to know the best part? They have been cutting Rs.6 everyday from our recharged amount as penalty for late recharge from our side. The buggers are yet to realize that we are suffering because their
                systems are down, not because we have not paid the recharge amount.

                While I take this officially to the consumer court, let me be your well wisher and advise you that cable TV is perhaps the best option till private players like Big TV decide to pull up their socks, and look beyond making money out of the services that they provide.
                I strongly agree with the remark that now reliance has entered into cheating business they even not bothered to reply when e-mail is sent to their customer care team. Sorry that they have trapped me to install this...

                Reliance Big TV — pathetic services

                Reliance big TV services are pathetic and they are chatting with customer it my comments closed the all big tv office due to pathetic services mo. [protected]
                I had similar experience of pathetic service of bigtv. I obtained the connection 'SOUTH GOLD' from its direct business associate APPCO Marketing (India) Pvt.Ltd on 7-6-2010. Their executive who had called on me had told me that all the chanels that I was receiving through Cable network would be coming at a price of Rs.135/- per month. I agreed for the offer as it was very attractive pricewise. To my surprise, I noticed that some chanels like pogo, cartoon network, HBO and zee studio were not in the pack.Since then I have made at least 50 local calls and 3 STDcalls to their Mumbai office for inclusion of these chanels. But so far no action has been taken.Big tv's customer service has told me that the chanels I had asked for would be available at additional charge only. As I had no other option, I agreed for the same. However APPCO has so far not taken any action. If the situation does not improve, I am seriously considering to go back to my Cable Network connection after the lapse of 3 month free period. I hope Bigtv takes immediate action in this regard.

                My name is Nand Kumar and have been using Reliance Digital TV since April 2012 (Smart Card ID:[protected]. On 2nd April 2015, I have added a credit of worth Rs 1779 into my Reliance Digital TV account. My total available balance was then Rs 1834. I had to make 3 online transactions on 2nd and 3rd April 2015 respectively just because Reliance Digital TV customer service agents didn't provide me with the updated price list of the Bronze 8 package. Neither they nor their website had that updated information even till 3rd April 2015.

                Now coming to the main issue. Since the first week of April 2015 I have been getting 'No Signal' message on the screen whenever i'm starting up the Reliance Set-Top Box. And after waiting for 2-3 hours, it's working automatically. Everytime I'll have to wait for that long to see the Reliance logo on my TV. I rang up Reliance Customer Care and lodged a complain (Service Request:[protected]. The agent told me that Reliance will be sending an engineer within 48 hours and will fix the issue. I confirmed with the agent if they'd charge me for sending the engineer and he said they will NOT. The only charge will be of Rs 500 if incase the Set-Top Box is replaced. After 56 hours a local guy came saying that he was from Reliance and without any troubleshooting was replacing my current Set-Top Box with a very old model of Set-Top Box. Why should I accept a very old model of Set-Top Box? After couple of mins I received an SMS saying that Rs 175 has been taken off from my account for sending the engineer. The issue is still not fixed and when I rang again to speak to a supervisor, the customer care agent said that supervisors are not available. Everytime I rang up customer care (between 9am to 6pm), the agent said that the supervisors are not available. I was also told that Rs 175 will be refunded back within 48 hours but even that didn't happen and it's been 7 days now.

                Now, I'm NOT interested in getting my issue fixed. I'm really pissed off with the kind of service provided by Reliance Digital TV and would like Reliance to refund my total amount of Rs 1834 (balance before taking the bronze 8 pack on 3rd April 2015) and close my account forever. And then please feel free to come and take your Dish and Set-Top Box.

                channels are not clear

                people on custmor care are not picking up the phone continuously and channels such as hungama, pogo are not clearly visible to us

Money deducted through my a/c within 3days to APPCO Marketing (I) Pvt Ltd Account at AXIS BANK, STATION ROAD, PUNE BRANCH. but till I didnt get Big Tv Connection. Is it any responsible person available for this company ? if yes, solve all complaints within 5 days & apolize all custmers through phone.

                  Reliance Big T.V. — Refund of Charge

                  i have lodged a complaint regarding Stb problem on Dt.03/10/2010 but The company engineer or Offricer neither visit my home nor resolve my STB probelm and then after a Week Means saturday the company has closed my complaint and deduct the charge of 175/- Rs. from my deposit without any solution of my complaint. then company has blocked broadcasting at my Big t.v. connection. It is the mistake that company has deducted Rs.175/- without resolve my problem, I face too much problem at your side. So you are requested to look inn the matter and solve my problem to refund of Rs.175/- and start the broadcasting at my Big T.V. Connection

                  When ever we switch on the TV, we are frustrated to see the same message all the time "Error 400 - no signal due to bad weather condition". Earlier we never faced this problem except when weather conditions are really bad.

                    It was a sunday moring and suddenly one sales exicutive came into my home telling that she has a good news and best offers as they are celebireting there 3rd aniversary. she said that the costumer who already have the DTH connection are offered the big tv setup box for free and booked one bigtv by taking a cheque of amout Rs1390 on (10/10/10) cheque no:317381. telling us that the connection will be given in 2 or 3 days. but it was more than one month and no one even made call or came for connection and after making complaint again and again in coustumer care center for more than one week after that also they didn't came and suddenly at last they came on 18/11/10 and they installed the setup box and said that the chennal will be avilable with in one hour but after 24 hours the chennal didn't at all. when we again made call to the costumer care center they said that the ID is still not suscribed yet and it will take 2 or 3 working days.

                    its really very bad repond from the relinace company and i request you to take nessary action for this bad kind of service.

                    The company name is APPCO company and the number given by the company such as[protected]/32222448/32222542/[protected]/[protected]. are not at all working and they are fake.

                      We have ordered the Reliance Big TV through the APPCO Marketing agency on 30th October and provided a check of Rs 1390 and they said it will take 7 days to install after all the verification.

                      It has been 20 days now and after lots of phone and calls still we did'nt get installation, the agency is not picking up the phone and not responding to our calls if they pick up the phone they say they will install today evening but they are not doing it.

                      Suddenly one day they said they did receive the cash so they required the bank statement as a proof, we also spent our money and time to get the statement and sent them through e-mail and they said they will do the installation within two hours but they are not doing it.

                      Reliance Big TV — No Installation - Over 1 month

                      I bought Reliance Big Tv on 2nd-september-2008. And now its been more than 30 days and still the installation has not yet been done.
                      On 26th sept a person had come to install the dish but after the installation he says that the Set Top box is faulty and said to get it exchanged.
                      Now when i went to the dealer at Reliance Web World he says they wont replace the set top box and somebody from the backend will come and replace the set top box.
                      Today its 3rd-Oct-2008 and still nothing has happened.

                      I have complained many number of times and one of the complaint number is 75202689
                      Installation is not a problem now. before it was because in the begging BIG TV has lots of installation calls and because of lack of their installation team they might not reached to many customers but now they have improved their installation team numbers and its not a issue any more.

                      I took Airtel connection instead.

                      My Mail sent to their customer care:

                      Last Wednesday (17th November), I brought a Reliance Big TV subscription from one of a dealer outlets in Chennai -Ramapuram [Rs 2490 - 12 months subscription]. The delaer immediately phoned the person in charge of installation of the same in this area & told me that installation will happen in 48 hours [By Friday end of day]. It was fine with me.

                      However I did not get any calls from out customer care or for the installation concerned person regarding the installation. No installation happened till Friday. Then shop dealer told me that Saturday (Nov 20) by afternoon it will be done. So I waited till noon, yet nothing happened.The serial number given to me was [protected]XXX. I don't what number it is but it was present in the start up kit given to me by the shop dealer. My cell number is 98XXXXXXXXXX.

                      Then I made calls to your customer care 4 times on Saturday afternoon & evening & they assured me that till evening it will be done. Hence I waited & did not go out for my weekend outdoor activities.

                      However no one turned up & no calls came to me as to why the installation was not done. Then the shop dealer told me that there are no set top boxes available which made me literally angry. This could have been communicated to me earlier so that I could have gone for other connection.

                      Frustrated, I took a Airtel 12 Months Subscription today (Sunday Nov 21st morning) & by evening 4 PM, just 4 hours back, they gave me a call, asked location to my residence & completed the installation within 45 Minutes.

                      If you guys continue the same manner of dealing with customers, you will soon loose the goodwill that is attained over a period of years.Had I got one call form customer care stating me a a genuine reason about not completing the installation, I would have waited a bit more. But in fact, I had to call your customer care 3-4 times & got only promises of installation but nothing happened.If you guys cannot keep up commitments, dont promise the customers.If you dont have set top boxes or some shortage of any installation devices, convey the same to the customer so that he/she can go for another installation without having to wait for it.

                      In future also, if I have any signal loss or other complaints, its obvious that you guys will respond in the same manner.

                      Due to this bitter experience, I am forced to advise/suggest my friends & relatives not to take your connection.Rather I shall ask them to take Airtel or Tata Sky or Videocon. It's my experience with Rel - Big TV that has forced me to decide like this.

                        No one came to check why the dish was not functioning even after several local and national(all India Head Office) complaints.Both the purchaseof DTH service and recharge money have been wasted,and I have suffered ba loss of many thousands.

                        Reliance-Big TV DTH Service — No after sell service

                        I have purchased the set after apealing advertisement (mainly promt service)of the above company.My Set up Box is out of order for the last 10 days and not anyone visited to attend the problem yet..I lodged my complain through Toll Free Number.And they promised to solve problem within 48 hours.Whenever, i followed them after completion of time frame, each time they alloted me a new complain number with different statments.And the most socking thing is that, they closed my complain, without attending the said fault.I think Big Tv customer care, is one of the best example of procastination and 420.

                        BIG TV — No after sales service

                        Iam past two years customer of BIGTV. They are good Marketing persons but not service oriented people. My BIG TV connection was not working stating " Signal Lost in Transit due to Rain/ Fore cast". When I complaint to the company the Call center personnel stated they will send the service executive within 48hours but they will charge Rs.175/- for that. Even though it is there service problem there reason is as it is one year over and as the guarantee period is over they will charge for the service charge. Even after a long conversation I have agreed to solve the problem. The Call center executive told the problem will be get solved in 48hours and the service engineer will come to us after calling me. The complaint has been registered by them on 01/02/10 and the request no is[protected]. Till today no one from the company has called us. They are deducting every day the charges for viewing the channel (even though nothing comes for viewing) . But the issue is not sorted out. As a consumer, if the payment is not paid the company will not telecast the programmes. But if the same is done by the company there is no answer.
                        I request the forum to take this issue and take this problem to the court of law since I am having the only hope on them.

                          Here is my drastic experience with BIG TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          DAY 1:

                          On Monday ie Oct 26,2009 we bought a BIG TV on the assurances of the Retailer (Reliance webstore,Parrys Chennai) that it wud be installed by EOD.

                          We were very particular abt the installation. But the installer never turned up in the evening.

                          SInce both me and my hubby are working,we had informed the Retailer. We could not have it done during work hours.

                          DAY 2:

                          The Installer called up around 1 PM and asked if he could come and have the same done.But my hubby replied that as no one was home, it was not possible and requested him to come in the evening.

                          In the evening after office,at 6:45 PM,we called him and requested him to come.But he very rudely informed that he could NOT COME AFTER 7:00. We told him that it was not informed at the time of purchasing the Product.To which he replied,PLZ CONTACT THE RETAILER.

                          DO THESE PEOPLE MAKE FALSE COMMITMENTS TO SELL THE PRODUCTS.

                          Then on contacting CC< they informed that the installation wud be done within 24 hrs.

                          DAY 3:

                          We had given the kit to our neighbour and requested them to have the same installed in their house as it was adjacent to our home.

                          The Installer came and just put the DISH,but he do not complete teh connection. But he stractched the Cash Card of Rs.300.00 and got it activated w/o the complete connection. WHY??????????????????????????????????.

                          He toldus he would come the next day by 10 and have the same done.

                          DAY 4:

                          I took 2 hours permission from my office for the DAMN installation,but the XXXX installer did not turn up until 12:30.So after complaining to the Customer Care I left for office after giving my house keys to my neighbour.

                          The Installer calls up at abt 1:oo PM and is asking permission to come. I told him that the house is locked and the keys are with the neighbour.

                          Some he reaches there,he connects the wire,but says that the ADAPTOR is not working and goes away.

                          He TAKES THE ADAPTOR FROM THE KIT AND THE GET STARTED VOUCHER.WHY???????????????????????????????????????????????

                          I call him up, he says tat the adaptor is not working and he wud come in the morning and have it connected.

                          DAY 5:

                          Called him up and tld to come at 12:00 as my hubby would come to have it installed. Asked abt the voucher he says he took it for activation.

                          At abt 2:00, another installer comes,calls my hubby. The installer has brought 4-5 adaptors,none work. He says that he will come in the evening or morning with a new one.

                          AFTER ALL THIS NONSENSE I HAVE LOST MY PATIENCE NOW.

                          ALso, why have your agents activated the cash card and taken the get Satrted voucher w/o intimation and when the connection is not completed. CLARIFY.

                          Have completely lost faith in Relaince now
                          They said when we purchased the Big tv connection we can pay through online, but i have tried to connect the services thousand times, but it says error occurred while processing... what is this???

                          cable wire connection is not working

                            This is in continuation to the earlier complaint on Reliance Big TV to present missed facts.

                            The company has arbitrarily deducted some amount resulting in negative balance. When asked about deducting without service, the customer care executive says it was the charge of Rs 175 for service visit. Earlier, when I talked to to the customer care, they said it was service charge. See how they twist the content!

                            I could clearly say the set-top box trouble is artificially created to fleece the customers.

                              I bought ONIDA slim TV on 4 th of November 2010. with Reliance BigTv connection free in Banglore. That day on 4 th i told to customer executives with clear information ie my coupan number and my addres where i want connection. I told to them like LKG kid i pronounced each letter while telling phone number and email id also. But they entered wrong data and wrong address. Realy i feel very iritation about this Reliance BIG TV conncetion. I called to customer care daily.

                                We bought Reliance Big TV DTH two years back at around Rs[protected], which included one year free subscription. It went off well for a year. Nearing a year of completion, the set-top box started malfunctioning. One of the service people from their service franchise came and casually checked only to say that the set-top box has to be changed and that will cost Rs 800. I told them I wont pay and let the connection go off. after a 2-3 days, the same set-top box that was declared faulty started working as usual. At that time, there was no balance amount on my side. So the people in contact from the Big TV side were polite.

                                Again now, after a year, the same set-top box failed one fine morning. In fact, it was functioning well till midnight the previous day. When I called the customer care of Big TV, they said the complaint was registered and the service person will come in 48 hours and service charge of Rs 175 has to be paid as warranty period has been over. I clarified with them whether they would ask me to change the set-top box saying that if that is the case, I wont accept. The customer care executive said replacement is not needed and it would be rectified at my place itself.

                                Given that understanding, the sevice person came within hours of my complaint. But he stayed for seconds to say that the set-top box has to be replaced and the cost would be Rs 500. In those few seconds, he just played with the remote of the set-top box and he did not check the set-top box at all. I told him it is not possible and he should check the set-top box, but he was adament saying he cannot do that and it would only be replaced, that too, with a serviced old one only. Not accepting this offer, I sent him back and called the customer care of Big TV. In between the chat (this was more than testing or servicing the set-top box), he revealed it may be sotware error.

                                This time around, their response was arrogant as we have already subscribed for a year, which ends by May 2011 only. During the argument, I told the customer care executive that they are forcing us to this situation arbitrarily and wantonly. But the person on the other side was adamently saying that if we want contiuous viewing, we have to pay Rs 500.

                                In that case, I told, return our balance subscription and we cancel our subscription with Reliance Big TV. But he replied arrogantly that if we are closing our subscription, the company will take the equipments automatically and wont repay balance subscription adding that " do whatever you would like". All as per rule, he said.

                                I asked him to give the name and address of the person to be contacted in Trichy. He replied there is no Big TV office and we have to contact the Reliance Webworld in Trichy. He added he cannot give the Big TV management details as per rule. (I dont understand howcome rules restrict; RTI does not appply to them?)

                                I am very sure from these episodes that it was their articulated plan to fleece the public, wherein I believe there is no need to replace the set-top box for long. (This is my softer stance.) I lose by way of phone calls, about Rs 1000, some of my energy, which I am not bothered. But I want Such fleecing operators learn a lesson or two. Really, I did not expect such things from younger Ambani firm and he does not need to do.
                                I too faced same problems two times from Big tv. I am trying to contact the management. But not able to... How to go about this?

                                  we wanted to have a relocation of the connection in our new address.
                                  it took 32 calls just to disconnect at my old address. The promise made
                                  was within 24houre but it took more than 72 hours and interference of the top
                                  official Mr.Kumar for disconnection. After making 20 calls reconnection nothing
                                  happened. Fedup by the poor response we were forced to go out and opt for
                                  Tata Sky.To our satisfaction just 1 call was enough to get the connection with
                                  in 4hours.

                                    I opted for a renewal of 12months subscription before 18th October 2010 and paid the amount on line for my subscription no.[protected] very much in time.

                                    I also got confirmed from reliance bigtv on phone that the amount is received and a free gujarati channel also is active in addition to main package for twelve months.

                                    But today when i opened TV, I received message flashing that my discount period is over!
                                    Amazing that even after paying for twelve months recently(last month) how can it be over?

                                    I immediately called up bigtv and had a thorough talk with Mr. Sai vide interaction recording no.[protected] at about 5.30pm who explained me that it is my mistake that I have not asked to activate the subscription!

                                    I told that after making payment, i got it confirmed from bigtv that the payment is already made for twelve months. In addition I also got confirmed about one free gujarati channel together with main package.

                                    Now it is bigtv's responsibility to do necessary updates of records in their system. And a customer can not be punished for the lapse at big tv staff.

                                    Hence I have requested them to please do the needful and make my account to run for twelve months for which i have made payment.

                                    I have also sent this info with CC to Anilbhai Ambani to get a better response soon.

                                    I brought the BigTV on October which included one year free for list of channels including NDTV Imagine, NDTV Profit etc. But after one month these channels (NDTV group) restricted. When i contacted customer care, initially they told that when i bought Big TV that time NDTV was free, but presently it comes in separate package, so the issue is from our side and will fix within 48 hours.
                                    After calling several times, at last they updated that these channcels are not available for free for now and need to pay Rs.60 per month if required.
                                    My experience with BIG TV


                                    This is with reference to my smart card number[protected] in the name of Thulasidasappa.

                                    I am just bring to concern people notice, I had taken BIG TV connection almost 3 months back, at the time of installation one of your executive had come to my house and he had furnished all the formalities in front me, when I bought this connection for yearly package in that package I got 2 recharge coupon one is for Rs, 200 other one for Rs, 500. After some time suddenly the connection got disconnected, same time I had contacted your customer care people to resolve issues, with in day I got back my connection.

                                    And same problem had repeated in the month of 24th Nov 08, I had contacted your customer care representative on 25th Nov 08, during my discussion he was mentioning that the executive who had visited my house not recharged worth of Rs.500, he was saying we can’t do anything about this, you need to contact the same person to get it recharged my balance. Same day I contacted that person he was saying there was no issues, according to him he did recharged worth of Rs, 700 at the time of installation and he also told me that please share my contact information to your call center for further clarification, I did shared the number on 26th Nov 08.But till today I been calling your call center representative about final result, no one can able to give exact status till today.

                                    As customer I am suffering along with family members without watching TV from more then 32 days. And I am ashamed talk to my friends about this BIG TV connection.
                                    I am just not able digest this about the big companies in INDIA like reliance I don’t know whom trust this matter.

                                    Finally I just decided to pursue further on enquiry more about how to go about to the consumer court and other various channels to bring to the public notice about my experience with BIG TV.

                                      Purchase DTH on[protected].But till date DTH Big tv damage four times.Last damage on 3 November.I call customer care & say about problem.C Care representative tell that i solve your problem in 48 hours.but till date no solution for my problem.I also call Sales manger of Reliance & give detail about all problems but they do not solve my problem.

                                      What i can do for this.

                                        Reliance Big TV provides pathetic service after sales. I have subscribed to Long Term Pack of Reliance Big TV DTH. A week back , my Big TV connection started showing Poor Signal. I contacted Call Center and registered a complaint on 26/10/2010. On 27/10/2010, their service engineer visited my Home but he left without solving the problem. To my utter surprise I got a message from Reliance Big TV on 28/10/10 announcing rectification of my problem to my satisfaction. I enquired call center but they informed that as per feedback available with them, my problem has been solved. Frustrated, I had to register another complaint on 29/10/10. Since then, I am getting only assurances. it is 01//11/2010 but no service engineer has visited my residence to attend the problem. However, I receive the calls from anonymous locations, giving me information " Sir, my service engineer shall visit your home today". God knows, from which country that invisible man is taking off to reach my home. I am sure that Reliance Big TV is a Big failure in customer service area.
