Sub: regarding closing of cdma and opening gsm for reliance communications.

I'm using reliance cdma dongle for 3 years to connect to internet. It has the worst customer care service. Last month they closed cdma services in tamilnadu without prior notice and told us we will be upgrading to gsm shortly and it will take 10-15 days to activate. We were also asked to buy 4g wifi dongle for the gsm services.
We dont have any other network to connect in between period. We do want to use other networks at extra cost for the in between usage. Its almost a month now and we haven't got any message for the activation of services.
This gsm upgrade notice came to us only after 4 days after the downtime and that too one of my friend got the message and not me. They cant activate the gsm services but the bill cycles and bill mail comes as planned. The customer service is one of the very worst one i have ever seen. Whenever i call i need to wait for 25 mins for call to be attended by the representative. They have sent us a bill reminder for the same. Why i should pay the bill when there is no service provided. They are saying that we would get waive off next time after paying the bill.

Ps: heights of poor service - customer service closing the ticket without calling to the customer. Comments "spoke with the customer, closing the ticket" whereas there is no call connected at all.

We are not sure about when will be the gsm services will be activated. Bill waive off is just a eye wash as we need to pay bill and they will later say some blah blah reasons and reject the waive off. When there is no services they should be providing the bill only on prorated usage basis and not the standard bill for the whole month usage.
I know i wont get any reply if i mail them. So registering a complaint in this site to take it forward.

    Hey bro it is not only you they have charged everybody that much. I have received a bill for 12383. I had contacted them to cancel my subscription and they are charging me 12383. I am highly disappointed with them. From a true believer in RCOM I have now become the most agitated with them. Not Done Reliance. You will not be the number 1 company you once used to be.

    [protected].. same case.. first of all didn't allow to cancel my postpaid connection.. fooled me by saying they provide 4 months 25% discount for network issue because of CDMA... decided to continue.. without customer notice changed the plan and now huge bill on my plate. No one there to receive the call as well in customer support past 2 days..

      Last 15 days my data card was not working in office.. I had discussed several times with customer care, they are not ready to cancel the data card..

      Customer care peoples not responding properly i have all records in my hand phone. Also they are disconnecting my calls once after getting all information..

      Kindly help to close the issue asap.. I don' t want reliance net connection now and future also.

      They are doing this fraud to everyone. I have disconnected the netconnect number [protected] on 18th june 2016 and confirmed the disconnection by calling the customer care (call recording available). On 29th july 2016, i got a bill for the same number. i have talked to an advocate and there is no need to pay the bill after disconnection.I am going to initiate legal action against this FRAUD.

From most than 5 years in reliance and this is my personal number but it is not registered in my name. First time i know this when cdma service is converted in to gsm i want the port code for port this number but port code does not received then i called to customer care they told me that this no. Is not registered in your name and they told me that this number is registered on mr. Khan's name. Its amazing for me, the number i used from last 5-6 years is not registered on my name. I remembered very well that when i purchase this sim that time i submit my required documents, but how this can happen? I don't no. Please do something this problem is big and creating many other problems.. Thank you.

          My self bhargesh vaghela
          And i am customer of reliance communication since last 8 years.
          Before 8-9 month ago i converted my cdma mobile number prepaid to postpaid.
          At that time reliance give me a plan of 497+tax
          Scheme: unlimited net + call + ama


          But after converting in 4g reliance promise to give 10gb free data. But not giver
          After converting 4g my plan was change
          Scheme : 5gb 4g net + unlimited calls + sms

          At the same cost.

          And today i got a call from reliance communication and thay told me your plan has been changed. Now my plan is rs.1299
          Scheme : 3gb 4g net + 2500 local min.+ sms

          Without asking mw they changed my plan.

            I have purchased fwp handset with 1299/- plan from your reliance communication centre baddi dated on 27-07-16, i had deposited payment & all required documents for activate related plan. but still 02-08-16 not any response from reliance office side. they are not provided any contact number for checking our phone activation status our person visit to reliance office 8 to 10 time regarding this matter but they have not take any action or not have any satisfactory answer. it seems that reliance service is very very poor. the same problem face by us during the last 04 fwp connections these numbers activated after 15 days. now i want to know that how much time take your company to activate a connection. we are so irritate form reliance services. so sad.
            What is your further action against my complaint?

              I have been using reliance pro (Cdma) dongle at rs.999/- per month unlimited plan for ages. But last months i was consistently getting calls and emails to upgrade it 4g, as cdma was getting terminated. The email from reliance read clearly "no change in your current data plan rentals & benefits", this was again confirmed by customer care person from reliance on 15/6/16. On his assurance on data plan remaining intact, i went ahead ordered wipod for rs.899/-. Then on 16/7/2016, i received new data plan. I put them 2 emails 18/7/16 to terminate my number as the tariff plans dont suit my budget. There was no response. I again put an email reminder on 22/7/2016. I received reply only on 27/7/16 but not satisfactory. Reliance expects us to pay revised plan which they communicated only on 16/7/2016 from 27/6/16 itself, moreover they dont seem to care what their customer service or emails promised while upgrading to 4g, that old plan remains unchanged. They have emailed exorbitant bill for 27/6/16 till 26/7/16 period. Which im refusing to pay. I was lured to buy into new wipod for rs.899/- stating old plan will remain. So will only settle for by paying one month bill as per old plan rs.999/-+taxes - (Minus) rs.899/- (Wipod cost). I have come across plenty such cases on this forum elsewhere too. Please don't budge and pay whatever they ask for/ threaten. This purely illegal and fraud.

              Wish reliance will take look into this to resolve. Alternatively im also writing to rcomappellateauthority. [protected]@relianceada.Com, an email id assigned by telecom consumer complaints monitoring systems recommended by trai.

                  Took them 2 weeks to instal net, then after installing net stoped working within 1 day. It's been 1 week after it stopped working nothing has been done about complain i have registered till now. I am pretty sure i will be billed for this month charges for using nothing. When they wanted money they always come on time but when it comes to providing service for the money they turn their phones off. I am going to recommend not taking reliance net to every 1.

                      Hi,

                      I had a Reliance Post-paid number from Tamil Nadu circle, which i was using for more than 3 years. Recently i shifted to Bangalore and so wanted to convert it to a Pre-paid number.

                      I gave an application for the Post-paid to Pre-paid conversion to the reliance store, and i was given the assurance that the number would get converted within a day and i just needed to do the Tele-verification.This application was given on 7 Jun 2016.

                      Following things happened there after :

                      1. The same day, when the application was submitted, my phone number's signals vanished. No Tele-verification possible.

                      2. Next day when i went up to the Reliance store, they had no clue about the issue. They just had one solution for me i.e. Switch Off and Switch On your phone OR put your reliance SIM to some other phone and try.

                      3. When none of this worked, the Reliance store sent a series of mails to their Regional/Head Offices. This mail series continued for 2 months and is still continuing at the time i am writing this complaint i.e. 8 Aug 2016, that too without a resolution.

                      4. On my part, i also sent mails to the Mumbai Office email ID asking for the resolution of this issue. I called the Reliance Hotline number, which had costed me a good amount in 100s.

                      5. As a result of all these efforts, Reliance team came up with am excellent solution and my number got Terminated.

                      Now, since that number was from Tamil Nadu circle, Reliance can't issue the same number to me from Bangalore(Karnataka); i am now being asked to go back to Chennai and get the number re-issued there, which is of course not possible.
                      So, now i have lost my number which i was using for all my professional correspondence, just because of the negligence and incompetency of the Reliance Team.

                      In the time when Telecommunication services are offering Inter-State portability, Reliance is not able to convert a Post-paid number to Pre-paid just because application was submitted from Karnataka circle office instead of Tamil Nadu Circle.

                      A special mention of the Reliance Store(Kalyan nagar, bangalore), where the executives do not have a clue of the procedures or the problems or the protocols to be followed for any such conversions. They would always give me the same answer "I have sent a mail to the higher team, will get back to you". I had never got a call back from the store.

                      In wake of this incident, i found Reliance highly unreliable and not customer friendly. Every effort went in vain and finally i lost my number.

                      The exact same incident was repeated for another number(user was using the no. for more than 5 years) which belonged to a family member of mine, where the Post-paid number was from Delhi circle and the application for conversion to post-paid was given in Karnataka circle.

                      I am not sure if writing this would help me out getting me back my number, but still wanted to notify the Reliance Communications Team that
                      - their procedures have loopholes,
                      - their customer care helplines are of no use for the customers for serious problems, except for doing balance inquiries
                      - their hotline number is just for making money,
                      - the reliance stores do not have any authority to provide any solution to the customer except for sending mails to head offices
                      - the officials at the reliance stores do not know of the procedures or the resolution strategies for issues
                      All this is highly inconvenient for the customers.

                      P.S. Reliance lost 2 loyal customers.

                        Why is it so difficult for the rcom team to simply take up the deactivation request of a customer. So far i have made 4 calls to customer care and written 3 mails, all without any result. The only thing you are prompt is payment reminders. Please go through the mails i have sent so far for which i have not even got a single acknowledgement also:

                        This is written request to kindly deactivate my below mentioned connection at the earliest possible.

                        I tried to contact the customer care department twice yesterday and they were more keen on my to go the reliance web world and take the 4g sim. After convincing her a lot, she said she will transfer the call to the concerned department, and kept me on hold and came back stating they are not available and that i will get a call back from them within 2 hours, which i never got any.

                        As you can check at your end, i have not used this connection in the last 3 to 4 months, so i am paying free money to reliance for the services i am not longer using, still i have paid all my outstanding dues and silently tolerated all the payment calls i was getting from your accounts department.

                        As i am not using this connection anymore and i am not interested in any 4g sim, kindly deactivate this connection at the earliest.

                        The executive who attended my call yesterday also mentioned that i need to go and surrender my device to reliance webworld. I dont understand why i should go to surrender it. At the time of taking the connection i had paid for the device, so what is the point in surrendering the device.

                        With no questions asked, please deactivate and close this connection asap.

                        In the future, if i am interested i will re-join.

                        This is my fourth mail.

                        My request you register a deactivation request is falling in deaf ears it seems. Three calls to customer care on three different dates and three mails following that has not been even acknowledged forget about even taking up the request. Following are my call details wherein the executive every time says the deactivation department is currently not available and i will get a call back within 24 hours, with no calls whatsoever. You can check into my call details registered under the number as follows:

                        Does this department even exist to take up customer issues? Kindly deactivate my netconnect asap.

                        If you can check you will find that i have not used this internet connection for the last 3 months but was still paying. But now i have decided to deactivate and request is not being taken. Every call they would say the deactivation department will get back to me in 24 hours. I really doubt if they understand what 24 hours is.

                        Looking for a prompt resolution on this and get my connection deactivated.

                        16 days have passed and there is no hint of a resolution of this deactivation request. I have started getting calls again from the billing section to may payment. I am not sure if this is falling in some responsible ears, or maybe the company is least bothered about customer issues. Why can't you just simply deactivate the connection. The company has changed to 4G, and I am not interested in getting a 4G SIM so stop harassing me by making your billing department call for making payments for the services which I am not using.

                        I am more shocked at the kind of attitude these people are throwing. They have stopped their CDMA and I do not wish to change to 4G sim. Instead of hearing to my request to deactivate, they are more inclined on collecting as much money they want by asking their billing department to call me every month for the payment.
                        This is fraud and I am going to expose this fraud through media .

                          My mobile number-[protected], at this number i am having been charged excesses amount instead of having active tariff plan. As per the said plan call rate to reliance gsm number was to be charged at 15 paise per minute but it was charged at 1.6 paise per minute. I got my number recharged with ₹8 special offer (For 30 days after checking from *129#) but said benefits were reliance to reliance 15paise per min and other number 35 paise per minute.

                            I am praveen. P from vijayawada using reliance postpaid mobile with no [protected].

                            Earlier i was using aitel (Very happy with service).
                            About six months ago i received a call from one of the reliance communication agent in vijayawada offering me a very actractive offer for rs 499 + tax (After discount) which includes —
                            1) all out going call from reliace to reliance (Both local and std) free
                            2) all out going call from reliace to any other net work (Both local and std) free
                            3) all out going call from reliace to landline (Both local and std) free
                            4) incomming and out going while roaming (In india)
                            5) 100 sms per day

                            The above offer for any working call person was like blessing. So with on other thought, i have changed my service provider which was like a curse for a life time, since while make any call, insteard of the call getting connected, my screen whould show "no net work connection". This would happen for most part of the day.
                            Regarding to sms — 95% of the sms messages where failed to deliver.
                            As for reception — you fell as if you were talking from a basement.
                            Inspite of calling their customer care centre or contacting their local agent, my problen has not been resolved.

                            I have been paying my monthly bill (Aprox rs 600/-) in time for every billing cycle

                              Its regarding the attached application acknowledgment for a new connection, i have signed the application on 18th july, and your guys promised to provide the connection in 2 or 3 days, but unfortunately there is no response from your end (Only cable was laid in a week time) finally last saturday 9th july one guy came and told there was no modem available that’s why the delay, but i told him i have the modem and router we can use that, but he refused to give connection since he don’t know to configure the router
                              I have tried the sales guy balu and your team leader having the mobile number [protected] several times they never picked the call
                              It is very surprising me getting this type of service from reliance
                              Can you pl. Reverse my amount as soon as possible so that i will proceed with other service provider

                                First of all, rs.300 were charged under the security account while getting my number ported and i was told that rs.100/month will be adjusted in the bill of 4th, 5th and 6th month, which didn't happen and when i asked about this, i was told that this service has been changed. That was ridiculous.
                                Further, in every bill, you charge me for international messages every time where as i never send any international message, i don't have even a single international contact in my phonebook. When i was using a vodafone connection, that time i have never been charged for such stupid international messages, just after switching to your poor network, i am charged for international messages.
                                Then, every time the amount for the bill i pay is always more than the due amount to be paid, and now for the first time i paid less, i have been charged rs.100 for that.
                                Such a disappointing service you provide, totally fake commitments and fraud services.

                                  As per above subject i had converted in to 4g as you said that u will not be able to provide cdma network any more. And you had confirmed that u will give the same plan in my new 4g.

                                  But sudden you had cheted that you will not give 1gb for life time and you only give 2015 rs which is for only 4 gb cost that means 4 months but as commited that the plan is for life time. So please provide me that life time 1 gb plan in my no [protected]

                                  Plz do the need full other wise i will have to go in consumer court.
                                  Please provide 15 years 1 gb data free as commited.

                                    I am an 82 year old man who has been forced to change to gsm from my cdma connection two months back.

                                    I am sorry to say that i have been unable to access a reliable network ever since i was forced to change over to gsm. Despite frequent visits to the closest reliance outlet on salunke vihar road, pune, i find that i rarely, have any coverage inside my house g23 salunke vihar.

                                    I am sure you appreciate that at my age and stage in life, reliable communication is a necessity and not a luxury. I have been a loyal reliance customer for over 15 years now but will be forced to port out if you do not pay heed.

                                    The customer care numbers do not permit access to an operator who can take down my complaint

                                      Firstly your representative supplied me with old modem and when asked said it is not been supplied by the company, if the company is unable to provide then why charge for new one and why company is selling, also the speed is very low at this time when checked its showing only 50 kbps i. E less than 2g, i was old that it will take 4 days to enhance your speed, but the bill is been started

                                        Issue 1:
                                        I purchased pro3 wifi dongle an year ago. Since last month 10th (Jul'16) my internet is not functioning properly, in all 3 modes (Pro3, hybrid & 1x) there was no signal to connect the internet & use. However when i call customer care they said it is due to 4g upgrade and they promised that issues will be resolved in a day however till date i am not able to use my internet.

                                        No case number provided claimed it is know issue. So requested them to take cancellation request however call centre person didn't transfer the call to respective team rather she said one of person from cancellation team will be calling me in another 24 hrs

                                        No call from them and 72 hrs gone. I called them again i fight with them & finally i was managed to raise cancellation request.

                                        Now comes real pathetic issue.
                                        If i cancel the internet then they told it will be de-activated in next 7 days time and i need to make rs 800+ for cancellation.

                                        Out of 40gb limit i used only 2 to 3 gb between 5th jul to 10 jul (With multiple network break) and after then 10th internet didn't work contineously for an hour (Till 16h jul) and after 16th no singal.

                                        I explaned those details and they are also agreeing but for cancellation they are claiming i need to pay rs800+

                                        Issue 2:
                                        Because of 4gb upgrade i got call from reliance they said cdma will not work after 1 month so i need to buy new gsm sim and new dongle for rs1600, discounter price. :- (:- (

                                        Don't know why i have to buy one more device for their network upgrade?

                                        Please help me. I'm ready to pay the actual amount based on my usage but why i should to pay if internet is not available because of their issue. Note: if internet service is available and if i didn't use then it is my issue so should't paid it. But because of their issue if they asking me to pay then it is forgery.
