I applied for a Tata Titanium credit card as I needed a card with balance transfer option without any charges. I was told that this card has 0 balance transfer charges for upto 60 days and I can receive the card within a week, therefore I applied for it.
First thing, I received the card in 2 weeks and then came to know that it had 2% processing fees for 2 months balance transfer option. This made no sense. There was no reason for me to apply for a card with annual charges when it did not even fulfill the one requirement that I had. I felt cheated.
I straightaway raised a complaint (11th Aug) against those people and wanted a resolution right away, otherwise I was willing to close the card. I was told that resolution would be provided max by 25th Aug. When I heard nothing from you till 24th Aug, I asked for an a/c closure. I was assured that the a/c is closed and a waiver request has been placed.
I confirmed the same once again. Still, this month I receive a sms stating that there is a due amount on my card. I was surprised and agitated, therefore I called customer care and was shocked to find that even though I had closed my card on 24th August, I was still charged late payment charges. He also told me that he could take the waiver request but still I need to pay the minimum due otherwise again late charges would be fined.
I was really shocked and surprised to see the extent to which card companies could go to rob innocent customers. There was no action against that fraud person who lied and lured me into applying for the card, but I am suffering here as the company wants to extract every bit it can from innocent customer.
I did not expect this thing from brands like Tata & SBI. My CIBIL report is suffering because of you cheat guys.
