Friends, Please be careful with the recent software update on Tatasky HD recording set top box introduced a bug which was causing frequent re-start of set top box. I made this complaint recently, these so called helpdesk guys were not able to resolve the problem and they sent an engineer to my house, you know what he did he just change the power saving mode from 'Yes' to 'No' and it got resolved. Now Tata sky asking me to pay Rs.150 towards visiting charges, I refused to pay and I am closing my connection with Tata Sky. They are charging for their own bugs now... Friends please be careful Tata Sky has become Cheating company... My VC No. is [protected] from Chennai Think about no. of Connection X Rs.150/- how much they swindle over night from consumers. regards Logamoorthy

    We are using Taata sky since last more than 5 years. Till now we never faced any problem in the service. However in mid of February 2014 Tata sky representatives visited our residence and changed the set top box ( From Old silver colored box/0 to a new Black box saying that the same is being done due to some software upgradation( This was done free of cost). Since than we are facing problems in the device. The set top bow responds late on the remote. Whenever we want to change channel of change volume etc it responds very late. Today when we raised this issue atTat Sky they told us that the warranty on the set top box is only for one month and it is charge able to replace same. We have told them to return our old set top box only as this was performing well, it was only due to there software alteration that the box was replaced and we are facing this issue. And now we are being told to pay for the box

    Tata Sky customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
    Tata Sky underwent complete shift to MPEG-4 technology for increasing their bandwidth of channel carrying capacity. With this move they have brought on board around 50 channels and still counting.. Even my old set top box was replaced for free but I paid Rs. 500 for 1 year warranty. You too could pay Rs. 500 on warranty so that you can enjoy 1 year maintenance cost. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and try fixing the issue you have been facing.

      Sir, One of the Tata Sky Representatives called me on my mobile number registered with them ([protected]) on 5th December 2013 and explained me about of their packs called Actve Vedic Maths. He just activated the pack without my consent and cut the line. When I checked the Tata Sky website (http://mytatasky.com/), it said that the pack was activated for 4 months and did not provide any option for dropping the pack. Moreover, they are showing that the pack costs Rs. 4 per month on the website but actually they are deducting Rs. 137 per month for it.         I am forwarding my grievences, which is against Tatasky. I have talked 15 times to tata sky customer care and 10 times i have lodge the complaint via mails regarding english movies channels are not coming for the last 40 days but no technician has visited my home for the last 20 days. The service of tata sky is just pathetic Further, I want to know consumer court in/around Fazilka, where I can lodge complaint and also a PIL (procedure) against Tatasky besides various concerned ministries... Pl. read and advise...

              Since 24th Dec'13, I am not able to view all the channels for which I am paying monthly charges. On receiving my complaint, you had send technician and deducted Rs.150/- from my account on 26th Dec'13. Inspite of your technician visit, when I could not see all the channels, he had told me that due to change of Tatasky software and set top box, I will be able to see all channels in due course. But I regret to inform you that till date, I could not able to view all channels. Moreover, you are regularly deducting monthly charges for the channels, which I could not view, since Dec'13.

              If you could not permit me to view all the channels for which I have subscribed & you are regularly deducting monthly charges, please deactivate it with immediate effect.

              Even I face similar issue fewmonths back. I was browsing through my channel list and found I couldn’t access many channels. Some message that said your current box does not support this service. I called the customercare at tataky and found out that I need to upgrade my STB to the new MPEG-4 technology. They also said that they would swap the box at no extra cost. I however paid Rs. 500 for one year warranty of the set top box. Ask them to provide an MPEG-4 set top box and you will be able to view all the channels. Try addressing your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky.                 tatasky representatives kept calling me asking me to activate karaoke on my hd pvr box which costs 1950.and when i did it didnt work from the very first day and i have been calling them only to hear that my request is in process. and finally after calling them almost 10 times i got the karaoke pack deactivated for which i got a refund of Rs. 600 only.

                I have also purchased TATA Sky karaoke. I was very excited to use it. First of all I found that albums which they have provided are not suitable for karaoke. secondly, I observed that set top box is adding lag or delay in between two words which i am singing, it gives me the feeling of singing in slow motion. After contacting helpline they recommended to switch off and then on the setup but that did not work. Overall i am very frustrated buying this new product.
                You guys can address your complaint to tata sky’s official handle @tatasky. They will arrange for a callback and assist you accordingly. I once faced an issue where I paid for the package amount but my account was de-activated. I tweeted regarding this complaint and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and my account was activated. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and provide appropriate resolution.
                Tata Sky karaoke is pathetic. Its not a true karaoke system, what this does is it tries to overlap your voice on the background voice of the song. But it never works that way, the background voice is always there even when you are shouting on top of your voice to drown it.

                  I sri.Khilip ku. Sahoo state that i have a tatasky dth connection with a monthly package of rs.220.00/- but for the month of february the company had change my package to rs.498.00/- without my permission.I opposed this monopoly and ask for change it to earlier package but they are not do that till date.

                  Therefore, kindly take necessary action regarding this matter as soon as possible.I will be greatfull to you for you concern action.

                    Name: Pratik S. Garibe Tata Sky ID: [protected] I had called Tata sky helpline center dated 16 February 2014 for relocation and immediately got the work order number. Then I got a call from their representative saying they need society permission. Taking the same I informed them but no representative came from Tata sky. Also, I came to know from a Tata sky representative (on Phone) that there is a problem from the Local cable network, but will sort out and will send the installation guy. but again I got no response from them. So again I called and again logged the complaint for the same and got the work order (dated 19 Feb 2014) and this time, a representative came, did the survey of home for installation and said that cable from Dish to TV is not sufficient and will be back in few minutes by bringing the sufficient cable. From that date to till date i.e. 03 March 2014 I keep calling them and nobody came for the installation. Because of this I have lost my money which was remaining from date 16 Feb 2014 to my next recharge date i.e 27 Feb 2014. After such a long wait, I got frustrated and again called Tata sky helpline number (03 March 2014, 11:51am), and asked them to give me reply in next 1hour or send me the reason(s) to my email id saying why you are not going to complete this relocation work order. As per my latest complaint on phone, I came to know that work order was not completed because of incomplete address details. This could not be the reason as the Tata sky representative has visited us as stated above. For reference I am attaching the proof of the SMS's which I got from Tata sky regarding work order. We have made a written complaint to Tata sky dated 02 March 2014, but didn't get any reply. I am hoping by logging this online complaint, I will get justice with my money which I lost on Tata sky.                       I Recharged my account bearing subscriber id [protected] on 24th July 2013 with Rs.3, 000/- for a annual package which should have been applicable up to July/Aug 2014. To my utter surprise i started receiving sms'es from tatasky that my validity is only up to 2nd March 2013. I called up 24Hr helpline number three times i.e. on 24th Feb, 26th Feb and again on 28th Feb (complaint number 1-[protected]) and discovered that some half yearly package worth Rs.1750/- is active on my account alongwith Active learning and Colors channel. I also lodged a written complaint on your website on 26th Feb but did not receive any response till date from your end.On 28th Feb i spoke to your customer care executives Vishal Kade who was extremely arrogant in his speech and on my repeated insistence he did not transfer the call to his senior/manager and disconnected my call. This kind of a service is not expected out of a reputed company like Tata's. Tata is a highly regarded brand in our Country and should not loose respect like this.I would like to reiterate that neither have i subscribed to the so called half yearly package, active learning or to colors. I only recharged for Rs.3, 000/- for an annual package. I request you to refund entire amount in my account with a validity up to Aug 2014. Today i got call .RegardsP.P. SHRIVASTAVA[protected]

                          Hi, My tata sky installation is not completed and by the time of payment they said installation can be on the same day of day after tomorrow for sure. when i am calling them when will be my installation done then they are saying it will be day after tomorrow again on tomorrow. what is wrong with Tata Sky brand ? I was happy when videocon D2H guy said installation will be on the same day anyhow. Theare are no assurity no contact person on Tata Sky side ? nodel officer not picking up call as this is sunday. so whom should i contact what will be the solution ?                               I got tata Sky installed on 3-Feb-2014. Ever since it was installed no volume was coming.The person who installed told that he will check it later. So I called the customer care, asked them to fix the issue. They told me that the set up box was faulty, they will get a new set up box installed. I kept calling them 3 times, every day, for the past 15 days. They keep telling me that they will fix it in 24 hours. But they send no one to check the issue. So i asked them to disconnect and give me a full Refund . Now they are saying they can not give a full refund for the equipment. But the Equipment was faulty in the first place, and they are not willing to Refund Or Replace.

                                I have 2 HD boxes installed in end December 2013. Both the boxes are not displaying channel content on random channels. Both are HD boxes. At times the channels are displayed. On my complaint technicians visited but did not rectify the problem as they did not have spare boxes and I heard them commenting, how many boxes we replace. The message we got was there are large no of failures of these HD boxes and they are unable to cope up with the work. One of the technicians indicated Rs 300 bribe for faster response. The service team closed the complaint without attending and the call center kept on assuring me that it will be attended. So far the issue is not resolved. I would like to have a permanent remedy for this issue or refund so that I can go else where.

                                Hi, I have the same problem were few of the channels are not getting displayed, talking to customer care executive they provided few steps which I tried but still the channels were not getting displayed. Finally the customer care agreed to send the technician to my place but saying they will charge 150Rs extra, why they are charging this amount when its not our fault? It a need to get the something like mobile protabilty in setup box too. :(

Even I was unable to view some channels which was due to shift in MPEG-4 technology by Tata Sky. I tweeted regarding this complaint that I was unable to view some channels and tata sky immediately responded to my tweet. All I had to do is submit my subscriber ID. The customer service team instantly gave a callback and they replaced my set top box for free as I had the oldMPEG-4 STB. I paid Rs. 500 for warranty of set top box. I suggest you too should provide your subscriber ID either here or tweet regarding your issue with this complaint link. I am sure they will look into your matter and resolve your issue.
                                Thanks Lalit for the info. However I have 2 settop boxes 1 is HD and other is already MPEG4 which was replaced by them 1 month back.

                                  ID. But these crooks did not credit my Tata Sky DTH. I had call to Tata sky cusmercare ( [protected]) on 15th feb regarding flashing massage of recharge is showing on my Television, but executive was saying that contact to your bank for deduction of your amount, when I am said that give me a complaint no. He says that hold your phone. After holding he was disconnect my call without any solution or without my complaint no.my complaint as usual no

                                    Hi, Recently I am not getting proper signal with Tata Sky set top box . I always see 'No signal' message . I did the pre-requisites(power off/on, tighten the cables, clear weather by the way) I have called customer care to address my concerns. They are charging me 100 to 150 Rs for this service . This extra service charge is not correct, I have not done anything here to Tata Sky signal, its there mistake of not having the signal strength enough or they have some technical issues . This is not at all customer oriented, why would a customer pay for the companies bad service of not getting the signal in the first place. There is no guarantee that the problem will be fixed ? what if this is a new way to get some extra money out of customers. Complaint No : C4VQQL1 Complaint Date : 14th Feb, 2014 .                                       My customer id is [protected]. It is since the last 3 months, I have been complaining of not being able to view the channels that I have subscribed to. I receive only verbal commitments on the phone as well as when I mail my complain, with no technician coming to my house to solve the problem. It is several times during the last 3 months I have been complaining with no action from Tatasky employees.

I am sure they will look into your matter and fix your issue asap.

                                        Some of the channels in the Tata Sky package (Subscriber ID : [protected]) aren't viewable. "No Signal" is display. Had raised the issue with the Customer Care on 25 Dec (Service Request Number: SR[protected]. Two days later, this request was closed without providing any resolution. Raised a new request thereafter A Service Engineer was sent. He could not fix the problem. He went back saying that there was a problem with the set top box, and that they have run out of stock of the set top boxes. New boxes would be available only after a month. He said the box would be replaced when the new stock arrives. It's been more than a month now. The box hasn't been replaced yet. I have called up Customer Care and reported the issue many times there after, but there has been no resolution yet. Customer care would respond that some one from the local service team would call up within 2hrs and a service personal would visit to rectify the issue. Nether do I get a call from any local service personal, nor does any one visit to check the issue. Please assist in having the issue fixed. Thanks and Regards.

                                        I think I have cleared mentioned in my complaint that "other sources" were contacted before logging the request in this source. The service request number has also been mentioned. Nonetheless, the issue has now been resolved. The service engineer came and replaced the box.
