Dear Sir,
I came to know through your phone call on my no.[protected], which dialed through no.[protected] that my data card no.[protected] has generated the bill of an huge amount of Rs, 5728/- .
I am very shocked to see the bill of that much amount, as you can see the back records of my usages for your reference that I have never exceeded the limit and made payment under self-care scheme and foremost in time.
I want to mention here that I just inquired to change my plan on 9th May, 2009 and the call centre executive has given me a reference no. and told to go to nearest Airtel Centre i.e., on Pusa Road New Delhi, and do request there to change the plan with the same reference number then only the plan would be changed. But we never proceeded to change the plan and now I came to know that without any further confirmation from my side or any intimation from Airtel, the plan has been changed. My bill plan has been changed at your discretion only.
As per the advice of call center executive neither I have confirmed nor been intimated by Airtel regarding the plan change. Since I have not been informed regarding my plan change therefore, I assume that my scheme is running under the old plan i.e. Rs.350/- P.M. and 500 MB data transfer.
Therefore I don’t owe any liability towards this bill.
Please send me the corrected version of bill as soon as possible so that I could make payment in time.
Today, I had talk with call center executive Mr. Praveen but he was very adament not capable to resolve this problem.

I am using Airtel data card (No. [protected]) since last more than one year under a monthly plan of Rs.350/- and 500 MB free data download scheme.
I want to mention here that I just inquired from call centre to change my plan on 9th May, 2009 and the call centre executive has given me a reference no. and told to go to nearest Airtel Centre i.e., on Pusa Road New Delhi, and do request there to change the plan with the same reference number then only the plan would be changed. But we never proceeded to change the plan and now I came to know that without any further confirmation from my side or any intimation from Airtel, the plan has been changed. My bill plan has been changed at their discretion only.

If I could have the information that my plan has been changed by Airtel then I never use that for such huge amount. Even though there is a usage limit for me of Rs. 1900/- when my usage was exceeding the they did not inform me.
As per the advice of call center executive neither I have confirmed nor been intimated by Airtel regarding the plan change after 9th May 2009. Since I have not been informed regarding my plan change therefore, I assume that my scheme is running under the old plan i.e. Rs.350/- P.M. and 500 MB data transfer.
Regarding this problem I had talk with airtel executive and wrote the mail also but they are not listening the problem and saying the charges are valid and forcing me to pay wrong bill amount. I need your guidance and cooperation to solve this problems of Airtel please.

airtel/data card — AIRTEL DATA CARD

I have an Airtel Data card & the problem is that the connection drops every few minutes .It is impossible to work on my laptop for more than 5 minutes. I have been complaing since 7th of August .There has been Zero response from Airtel .
They asked me to get my SIM replaced, I paid & got it replaced.There is still no improvement. I have them called up many many times including their Manager.
They have no concept of Custumer Service & have no clue of how to resolve issues.
And they also tell lies. They told me that there was a service call made by them to check the status which was hogwash. I had got NO call from them.
I have paid Rs 5000 for the card & pay a monthly rental when I am barely able to use it. And also the calls which I have to make every other day to Airtel to complain are not Toll Free.
I would like to get a full refund of the above charges & get rid of this card especially as I would not need to talk to their Customer services cell again.
Can anyone tell me how to sue Airtel??

airtel Friends — regarding change plan without informing me

my mobile no is [protected]. the survice authority has changed my friends card in genral withaut informing me. because of that i m facing problem. they are not respounding any thing about my complain. i have contected customer care more than 10 times they are not responding about my problem.
I am customer of airtel prepaid plan from last 3 to 4 years.I always satisfied by airtel.I have airtel frieds 1 plan.This plan have 50ps daily rental before 5 september 2009.From 5 sep 2009 daily rental change into Rs 1.Due to this many customer of friends 1 plan not happy so airtel can lost his many customer.I suggest to airtel do anything quickly.Also I want to tell personally Ek ATUT VISHVAS is always given to me by airtel.Thanks airtel.

Airtel — internet plan change

Dear Sir,
I m a Airtel Broadband cm from Bhopal(bairagarh) location and i want to change my current bill plan 699 to 499 but as the airtel customer care asked me to send a mail on wecare.[protected]@airtel.in but i could not find any link to put my request for bill plan change so kindly help for the same ...

and change my bill plan to 499 + 150 addon pack to make airtel call free in MP CG location.

Airtel Broadband — Changed internet plan without any intimation

Since November 2009 we are using airtel's "freedom 2499" (2 mbps unlimited plan without any limitation). now problem is that since last one year we are using this broadband connection without any problem (accept some minor problem). now Airtel suddenly changed our broadband plan. the new plan is like this (Freedom 2499 2 mbps unlimited, "512 kbps after 100 gb data download" ). It means now I'm paying 2499 per month as before but getting less as before.
For this issue i complained to Airtel they said sir your plan has upgraded to new one. from now if you exceed 100 gb data transfer your internet speed come dome to 512 kbps.
My question is that how the airtel can do this without any notification or intimation, and second this is there is no need to change my plan cause I've bought it as per the old plan, and that time you could not inform us that in future we can change your plan without any notification. then why the hell Airtel can do this.
I'm dame serious about this issue, and if i need, I'm sure I'll claim compensation for inconvenience which i facing currently.

Airtel — Without notification the Bill Plan change and charged for the huge bill

My original bill was 149. Without notifying the airtel changed my bill plan to 899 and charged me unwanted huge bill of Rs. 1500. After complaint airtel changed my bill to original but they didn't change the huge bill they have charged me.

This is highly unfair. The airtel customer care just so pathetic. If airtel doesn’t changed the bill they have charged me, I am going to just disconnect there service.

Airtel — Changed my plan and validity without my intimation

Dear sir/Madam,
Am samrat chakraborty and I been using this number since December 2006.Don't know what's went wrong yesterday evening, I got so much shocked when I saw that my Airtel plan & validity has changed without my permission.Earlier I have got recharged my Airtel mobile on last December

with Rs 46 which is a Turbo plan.After that I have got validity of this Turbo plan till 6th December 2011. But yesterday they have forcefully changed my Turbo plan to normal call rate plan and with lifetime validity i.e 24 May 2014.. I mean how is this possible???? I haven't recharge yesterday with any kind of lifetime plan.so how come it has happened?? Am a loyal subscriber of Airtel and with this kind of cheating they have really lost my faith. Yesterday I called to their 198 helpline, Mrs Kanchan ,(senior executive) picked my call, but I haven't got any positive and proper comittment from her. She then told me that she has lodged a online feedback to their respective department and the problem will be resolved i[censored] deserved for your old (Turbo plan). Till now I haven't got any resolution from Airtel. This is very annoying for me. Pls anyone from Airtel who is honest, pls solve out my problem. I want my old Turbo plan, which Airtel has forcefully changed it to normal call rate plan and lifetime validity. Pls help me out.. Thank you.

Airtel — Plan not change after confirmation

We are using Airtel Broadband & Landline services vide no.[protected]. I have requested to Airtel's call center to revise our billing plan for faster internet services. I had called them in the month of August-2011 and they told me that your billing cycle is from 11th to 10th so your plan will be changed on 11th of Sept-2011.

But the plan not changed as they committed and I again called them on 13-Sept-2011 and then they told me that your plan will be changed from 1st of Oct-2011 and their representative give me the reference no. 3970074. I said OK but the plan should be changed by 1st and they assure me.

Now still plan not changed and when I called them he is again saying that your plan will be changed on 11th of Oct-2011..

Airtel is paying with us like a ball and giving date on date...

Please take any strict action upon them.

    I had airtel postpaid connection number [protected] and AcNo:[protected]
    I have closed this connection. After nearly 4 months I get a letter of pending payment. I asked for bill details. I receive a mail saying that our executive will give you the bill details at your postal address. We have not yet received any bill details from Airtel and yesterday I recieved another warning letter from Airtel regarding the pending bills. This time the amount is also different.
    For further clarifications they have given 2 numbers in the letter viz [protected]/[protected]
    I tried this number several times but no one is attending the call.
    I need the bill details as the pending amount in very incorrect. I need to tally this with already submitted bill receipts.
    Please make sure that you have send in the bill details before giving us any letter of pending bills.

      I am working in an IT firm in Bangalore. I recently got transfer from Chennai to
      Bangalore. 15 days back I submitted all my id proofs to the Airtel representative sitting in our office campus and got the post paid connection.

      I was alloted with [protected] number.

      I was called by one airtel representative in the afternoon saying that my house was locked and he could not do the verification. I told that i will not available in my house during my office hours and asked him to come either before 9.00 am or after 6.30 pm in the evening. But the next day without informing to me the outgoing facility was disconnected and I suffered a lot since i am away from my family and i could not call my family during weekends.

      The next day I reported the same to airtel representative who is sitting in our campus and he arranged to activate the outgoing facility and asked my time to do address verification. I told the same as above and they accepted.

      I was waiting in my house for the past 1 week and no one has turned to my house. but suddenly again they disconnect my outgoing connection permanently without informing to me saying that they could not trace my address.

      I was shocked to hear this and already i have deposited Rs.300 as advance amount for the connection. After enquiry they said i have to apply for a new connection.

      Already I have informed to all my near and dear about the number change. Again getting new connection and informing to all will be foolish thing.


      I and my family all having the Airtel connection in Chennai for the past 5 years. We didn't face this problem in chennai. but now in Bangalore I suffered a lot and I am unable to use my connection eventhough I have paid the advance amount.


      Also there is no response from customer care also. They are lethargic and
      not giving sufficient information.

      Now I am planning to move to another service provider for getting new connection because of the bitter experience I faced with Airtel.

      While getting the connection lot of promises were given by the airtel representatives but now no one is responding properly.

      My friends also facing the same problem with Airtel. I never seen such poor and lethargic response from Airtel. that too the representative are sitting in our office campus and verified all my identify with the office.
      Because of the foolish verification process they are loosing a customer


      With regard to customer care contact number, it is a total failure.

      First if we call 121, it is in Hindi language and it is asking us to contact another number [protected]. if we call that number it is asking us
      to contact 080-- etc number. Totally misleading.

      I am very sorry for writing this but the total irresonsible action and reply I received hurt me.

      For the sufferings i had for the past 15 days without the outgoing facility and unable to contact my family for having an Airtel connection.

      Airtel Postpaid — Irresponsible Airtel

      I am Mr. Sudip Roy chowdhury one of the customer of your organization and my mobile no is [protected].I am going to explain an incident which happened with me and I am sure after reading the whole incident you will Be equally frustrated and angry as I am right now. Today morning at 9:30 AM someone has picked my pocket in the bus And took my mobile off, when I realized the incident instantly I called up my number from a co-passenger's mobile and I got it switched off. After reaching the office I called up Airtel Customer Care at 10AM and requested them to block the out-going Call from my number and I called them twice. Whole day I was in office and I came back home at 7:30 and after coming back I called up my friend from my land number just to inform them about the incident and I was shocked when I got the reply from them.
      During the whole day those picketers called all my private numbers stored in my mobile and even other numbers it could be anywhere.
      Now I just want to know
      1.Who is going to be responsible if they use my number to commit any kind of criminal offense?
      2.Where is my personal security and safety?
      Please suggest me how do I handle this .

      Yes this bloody are doing the same for me.And i am also suffering a lot now.I lost the representative number also.I dont know what to do now.I trying to complain on this to any reasonable authourity.

      WORST AIRTEL SERVICES...
      I have subscribed a mobile phone No [protected] in the name of Manish Goyal. I have a post paid connection with advance rental of two years, Period of rent of which has expired in November 09 end. Before the expiry of this period, I requested to airtel costomer care to change of bill plan from post paid to pre paid with per second call facility. But they didnot change the bill plan to pre paid and renew the advance rental for further two years without intimation to me.

      I spoken to airtel customer care, but there is no any positive response, they are of the openion that you have to pay the advance rental of two years and there is no any other option before you.

        We had procured a prepaid SIM card ([protected]) from Laser Valley Telecom, 27, Bazullah Road, T.Nagar, Chennai 17 - Contact [protected] on 30th May 2009. The relevant documents (xerox copy attested) were handed over to the counter person on the same day and we were assured that the card would be activated in 24 hours time. After several follow ups we finally had the SIM activated after almost one and half days.



        After 3 days the SIM got deactivated automatically with no prior notification to us and no incoming or outgoing calls could be made, on making outgoing calls, the message we got was "Your line is temporarily deactivated due to non-submission of documents". We did multiple follow-ups with the AIRTEL customer care support and went down 2-3 times to the showroom to report the problem. We spoke to the showroom owner Geoffery ([protected]), where in he promised that there was some issue at Airtel end and the LW document submission no was not clearly communicated internally and he would take care of it.



        The line was not activated for more than a week, and we had been still continuously and patiently following up with another person Ram ( [protected] ) in Laser Valley Telecom, as Geoffery was not reachable. After multiple follow-ups and visits to the showroom in T. Nagar, the line was activated by the end of the day on 14th June. The next day morning when we tried making an outgoing call, we again received the same message "Your line is temporarily deactivated due to non-submission of documents". Since that day till date we have been trying to reach Ram, Geoffery and have also registered another complaint with the Airtel customer care support[protected]th June) for which we were told to contact the showroom for activation of the SIM.



        I would also like to bring to your notice that we had procured two SIM cards (one for my father-in-law and another for my mother-in-law) in April 2009 beginning from CELL.COM at T.Nagar which also did not get activated for more than a month after our constant follow-ups with the Airtel customer support centre and showroom where we purchased it. We had procured these prepaid SIM cards to attend to personal medical emergencies in the family and ultimately we could not use it. The whole purpose of having procured the Prepaid SIM is lost, as my Father-in-law expired due to illness on 17th April 2009.



        Everytime we try calling the airtel customer support centre we get standard replies that either we have to walk into their showroom to resolve the issue ( knowing the fact that this is an issue where somebody has probably lost the documents we submitted or has not submitted it properly), due to which the SIM is not activated. When we try reaching the showroom owner or customer support executive either he is not interested in attending to our problem or just notes down our mobile no. [protected] and says that he will get it activated in 24 hours, which anyway does not happen.



        It has been 2 months since we are trying to get a prepaid SIM activated with Airtel but with no proper support from any of your customer support executives or your nodal officer’s (whose mobile no.s are switched off most of the day – [protected]).



        It is pathetic to note that a mobile network who advertises on perfect service and customer support ultimately cannot cater to such a simple request like this.

        I have raised this issue with the [protected]@airtel.in on 01st July 2009, but there has been no response.

        When I tried calling the Airtel Customer care support yesterday again, the response i get from a senior executive officer is that i need to resubmit the documents as they have not got registered with them due to loss of documents.

        I hope to get a proper resolution atleast by raising this complaint with you.

          The land line is not working from last 6 days. I gave complainted for that but I din get any revert for that I also complaint on customer care they gave me a TAT for 48 hrs. so plz give me feed back for that.

          Dear Sir,

          I am constrained to lodge this complaint before you after numerous telephonic calls fail to appreciate your customer care centre, sector -37 to look into my complaint.

          I am surprised to note that none of your customer care executive came out in my rescue.

          I wish to state and lodge the following complaint i.e. as under:

          1. That, I, Mrs.Kamlesh Sharma w/o Mr.S.K.Sharma (Retd.Indian Railway Employee) is the bonafide senior citizen and a respected peace loving resident of House No.248 ASHOKA ENCLAVE MAIN, SECTOR-35, FARIDABAD-121003.
          2. I am also happened to be your bonafide customer and installed your telephone connection as I.D 11771054, Tel No.[protected].
          3. That the trauma starts after receiving the referred inflated bill for the period 08.05.2009 to 07.06.2009 raised vide Invoice No.[protected].

          4. On scrutiny of the aforesaid bill I found that the bills were raised erroneously, without any basis, even for the tall free numbers and also called numbers shown as imaginary.(I never called such numbers and not known the numbers belongs to whom?).

          6. It is also pertinent to note that how can these numbers shown as called from my telephone number and also the tall free numbers included in the detailed list and charged?.

          7. That in the sheer violation of bye laws and guidelines of TRAI.
          8. That I complained to the CUSTOMER CARE i.e. I can say with conviction that YOU’RE SECTOR-37, ”FARIDABAD AIRTEL CUSTOMER CARE” ARE NOT BOTHERING TO CUSTOMERS REQUESTS.

          9. I humbly submitted with my earlier telephonic complaint i.e. pending with the customer care, no action initiated, no on the spot enquiry conducted and even not activated the STD LOCK facility.


          Keeping in view of such aversions and contentions I once again request to your good selves to kindly intervene in the matter and stop the issuance of inflated bills and stop raising the bill i.e. not at all used by me, withdraw the referred bill and correct the same along with activate the STD facility immediately and direct your Sector-37, Faridabad officials to do the needful.

            from the day i took airtel connection problems have been started, not a single month your service was fine...

            here are my problems, and complaints raised

            1) i asked to give me the connection from the next day or the starting day of billing cycle, but they gave me just 2 days before billing cycle
            the next day after taking the connection: line was dead, raised a complaint, didn't attended, raised again then attended at last i have to pay some 170 rupees unnesasarily just for 2 days
            2) the next month my cordless telephone stopped working, i got that phone by you by opting 750 plan, it was replaced with normal wired used telephone, i demanded for my cordless but said there is no stock and they are not producing it, so what.. i'm offered cordless and i need only cordless
            3) again in the first month i guess, i was assured that telephone number would be given as per my choice, after repeated phone calls it was changed
            4) for about 3 times i raised complaints for frequent disconnection of internet and about 20 dyas i faced such problem, the problem coul'nt be fixed at all, and i came to know the feedback on my complaint is like " my lan card is not working itseems, huh! they are really dumb, mines was fine, after few months very recently my line was changed then it worked fine
            5) for 3 times raised complaints for land line getting dead, and the last time you ppl took more than 10 hours time to fix it, and when i have asked about service gaurente, i didn't get any response
            6) and most problematic thing is for about 4 months i didn't get a bill at all, i used to raise a complaint every month and then they would deliver me a xerox of that bill
            7) i really fed up and asked them to atleast deliver me the e-bill, i made necessary changes in site, but after making changes i'm receiving paper bill but no e-bill,
            8) i again raised compliaint, nodal officer, feeback team, etc ppl assured that e-bill would be delivered, but i didn't receive any e-bills till now
            9) also said to change alternate contact number, but my old contact is still there in their records
            10) registered for DND for both my landline and airtel mobile number also, but they people very cleverly call me up at my mobile and disturb me with your ads etc.
            11) the very lastest issue is this month july, even after nodal officers and feedback team assured that e--bill would be delivered and paper bill would be stopped, i still didn't received e-bill and got a paer bill...

            july 2.00pm update : a nodal officer named saritha called me up and said, i will definitely solve your problem, blah blah blah ...since 6 months i'm hearing the same dialogue...
            i made call to the brdbnd cstmrcre 1-3-10 (8.30 pm) my interaction id[protected] ... i got a cstmr care agent name senthil he never gave a good service to me... and more over he dont mind my commends also... i told him to transfer the call to superviser he put me hold lot time and disconnect my call... i thnk he is not a proper customer support agent... his communication is worthless ...am going to disconnect the broadband connection...

              I am subscriber of Airtel Post paid from last 3-4 months. Since I have started using post paid, i am not receiving hard copy of bill eiether by courier or normal post. Further on registering for several times for E- bill again i m not receiving any copy of bill via email. Airtel executives keeps calling for payment of bill several times in one day only. After explaining all things also neither my problem gets solved nor they take the matter seriously. Last month i paid without receipt of bill. No one is taking responsibility for providing me bill in time.

                We had installed Airtel Digital TV on 30/05/2009. After a week the screen started showing that this card is not valid. By contacting Airtel Call centre they told that Rs.100 is balance from our side. After recharging Rs.100 it was activated. After a week again i.e. 15/06/2009 again the TV screen showed that this ID card is not valid. We again called centre again they informed that we have subscribed for ESPN package and Rs.60 is pending in our account. While we had not sent any SMS for subscription. The fact is that airtel has deactivated free to air channels also. Is airtel collecting Rs.50-100 every week with the customers who had subscribed for free to air channels for one year on some pretext or other?
                Why are ads given for fee-to-air channels subscriptions for one year? Can I get justice from airtel? Every time we contact airtel customer service they say "You pay this amount this time and next time it will not happen? Is this the way adopted by airtel to humiliate genuine customers and harrass them by charging them exhorbitantly evey week?

                Airtel — Airtel Does Not Recognize Even After Two Years

                I have Post-paid connection of Airtel for over two years. Since I requested for a better number, I was given an old number which was not in use. But now, for any complaint when I seek help of Customer Care, I am told that the number is not in my name !!!
                My bill is regularly paid, but the company does not recognize me !!! Two years time is too short to correct records !!!

                This is on my parents behalf i am forwading the complaint against Dish TV.He ordered a new connection Through the Dish TV dealer" Best Electronics" in mount road, chennai. When questioned he said necessary changes will be made., but on contacting them several times no response is given also my father had requested packages details which is also not given till day.As the free subscription is going to expire this month he called the dealer Best electronics they refused to attend the call.They live all alone in chennai. They had taken for the connection Rs. 4300/= for that also no receipt is given. Please take necessary action against the dealer and compensation should be made for my aged parents for the amount of mental agony they are under going.

                sir i was activated free sms pack for 1month (2sep-2oct) but they cut my account from 2oct which is not valid.

                hi, i am Karan Gambhir...my prepaid number is [protected] and in the evening my today (14th October 2008) my balance got deducted by about 30 Rs for which i did not get ne msg from Airtel.

                my balance was sumwhere close to Rs 144 and on checking in the evening my balance was Rs.114.

                i tried complaining on the Airtel cutomer care but the executive did not have information about it, and he told me to call after 24 hours.

                please note i am not using ANY extra service except for Hello Tunes for which already Rs.200 was deducted from my account.

                I want a refund of those Rs.30 !!..its highly annoying.i am really really dissappointed with Airtel and request you to register a complaint from my side, and pls make sure a get a resolution for the same !

                I topped up my Airtel (Chennai) with Rs.415/- through icici mobile recharge facility at around 9 pm 24oct 08. Instead of choosing to go to the nearby shop, I had resorted to using the online facility as I was at work and had an urgent phone appointment with an important person at 9:30 pm the same day. To my dismay, I didnt get the top up message until 10:20 pm. At 10.20 pm I get a funny message ( with lots of "%20%") which I was able to vaguely make out, a top up intimation message from Airtel. Just to confirm my fears of the recharge amount, I check the balance enquiry *123# and ofcourse I get a shock.. I see I have Rs. 286.51 left;I had atleast 1 Re before recharge. And apart from the poor return of investment, in this one hour from 9 to 10 pm, I had to undergo the embarassment of asking the person with whom I had a phone appointment to kindly call me as "I had low balance"... I tried their customer care in vain.. Never did I get an option to talk to a cust care executive.. In my utter frustration, I put a no wrong when I called aircel care (Im no aircel man)... Just when I was glad to greeted by a phone operator, I discovered it was aircel, and then disappointment again..
                What a poor show by Airtel.. I swear, I am ashamed to be associated with Airtel.. My next move?? Throw both my mobile and its sim card into the dust bin..(My plan is talk more plan with 49 p per call, just for information.)

                It is more than 2 months that i am not getting any call nor i am able to call some of the airtel number. Even customer Care service is not working . I am using airtel from past 3 3.5 years but if this problem is not solved i am planning to switched to other network.

                Please look into this issue ASAP.

                Airtel — Billing Problem- no action since the complaint has been logged 15-20 Days Back.

                My wife was using Airtel post paid mobile no.[protected].
                We found that in the last few bills most of the SMS sent by this number on the local numbers has been charged on ISD tariff basis. Although on our complaints, each time those issues get rectified by Airtel.
                But, We were surprised by the last bill for the month of September-October, where Airtel has charged Rs.5000 for GPRS services, Although since the last 1.5 years the average bill is appx.Rs.1200 on monthly basis for same sort of services.

                I have logged the complaint for the same on 6/11/2008 (comp.no.[protected].

                Still waiting for any feedback & action from Airtel.

                Hi, i have brought the Airtel Digital TV, with south mega pack for rs 2500 for 6months in Oct '08 soon after the launch. Since they dont provide HBO, ZEE studio and Sports with it, i have topped it up paying rs35 for HBO, Zee Studio, Zee MGM pack and rs 45 for ESPN, star sports pack. But without showing any repect to our loyality of being among the first customers, they have started selling the same pack for same price of Rs2500 for 6months with ESPN pack and their webiste also inculdes HBO and Zee Studio in the list of channels. Can I know why i am being ripped of Rs 80per month for the same channels and that too for being one of the first customers.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Pending Installation

                Hi,

                I had marked a request for my Airtel digital TV to be relocated from my mohali address to NOIDA address on 24/12/2008. Both addresses are mentioned below for your reference. My registered phone number is [protected]. First time i called for this was on 24/12/2008. The customer service executive took my new address in NOIDA & booked the slot for technical installation executive. However next day (when this guy was was to visit my NOIDA residence for installation), i got a call from MOHALI stating that your executive in Mohali is not able to find my NOIDA address in MOHALI. Again i called customer service team who again after apologising alloted another slot. Again after couple of days i got similar call from MOHALI. This process of booking the slot has happened four times now & still i am reciving calls from MOHALI to intall my connection. I have spoken to Mr Rakesh (Floor incharge), Ms Sonia (Team Leader) still i havent got any solution. Whats most disgusting is that Airtel has already deducted Rs 600/- as reinstallation charges & still no-one bothered to inform me about the status. The incompetent team is still not able to provide any solution which in this case is arranging for an installation slot at NOIDA. Today again i called up the customer care. Today this guy Sajid, asked me to deposit Rs600/- again stating that i need to deposit this amount & later this will be refunded. When i told him that i will not pay anything now as i have already paid the charges, he disconnected my call.

                With the kind of service provided by airtel, i am made to believe that i have made a huge mistake by trusting airtel over various other DTH service providers. Its a simple case o[censored]nderstanding that a customer has relocated from Mohali to NOIDA & wants his connection to be relocated as well. One need not be a rocket scientist to understand a simple relocation case. Now i want my reintalling to be done very urgently. Also i would like some one very responsible to call me from AIRTEL AND NOT FROM AGENCY CALL CENTRE who can be sensitive about the customer's problem & "can get the things done". Its already been 12 days & if no future action is taken to my satisfaction, i will be forced to initiate legal action against airtel digital TV

                I S Ravi Kumar (Customer ID No. [protected]) resident of J P Nagar, Bangalore subscribed Airtel Digital TV on 16.11.2008 and the same was installed on 18.11.2008. The offer was for Rs. 2000/- with 12 months subscription free (South value Package).

                Now after 3 months i recieve a SMS on my mobile mentioning that my negative balance of - Rs.300/-, which i couldn't understand.
                Since i was on tour i thought i can check once im back in station. When returning from Delhi on 22nd i recd. a call from one o[censored]r call centre guy rudely mentioning about negative balance of - Rs. 300/- without giving the actual reason and any explanation. He just asked me contact Customer Care and hung up the phone on my face as though i owe him or the Airtel. What kind of stupid and arrogant people are working in AIRTEL. This is most humiliating act by any (so called) CRM person. I SEEK AN APOLOGY on this count.

                After i was back to Bangalore on 23rd Jan 2009 and found the service terminated / disconnected, i am really upset on this INSTANCE towards the dastardly act. I have been calling your customer care to get a Standard Answer that they don't know the reason and systems are down and details not available. I dont know what kind of Junk systems are installed and customer friendly approach (name sake) is followed in AIRTEL.

                I Called Customer Care for 4th time and then for my luck i could find some responsible person to give the reason for extra wire cost (from 20m to 30m slab) and registering the Customer CompLaint No. 519711 and resolution of issue by 29th Jan 2009 Committing the resumption of services & waival of extra wire charge of Rs.300 - which was not at all needed. The explaination for extra wire is as below.


                Dish has been installed on 4 storeyed building which requires approx. 40ft(12.2Mtrs) + 15 ft slack(5Mtrs) .During installation there was some unwanted length of extra wire being left coiled behind the TV during installation which the installation team said is more by 5mtrs apart from the 20 mtrs provided alongwith the system as reqd. Primarily i dont beilieve. When i questioned the installation team they demanded cash payment of Rs.400/- for extra wire. Since this team was acting dubious i.e, Great AIRTEL team. I got doubtful and called up the Franchise, he mentioned that the cost of extra wire would get adjusted in the recharge amount of Rs.2000/- and there is no need to pay anything for installation team.


                Till now the service is not resumed and i have not recd. any kind of response from AIRTEL. I feel Airtel has nurtured this habit of giving wrong commitments and then mastering the art of not satisfying the commitments made during the sale and misleading and cheating the customers. I SHALL BE FORCED TO APPROACH THE CONSUMER FORUM.

                I Sanjeev Goel (Customer ID No. [protected]) resident of Noida subscribed Airtel Digital TV in Dec 2008 .The offer was for Rs. 2000/- with 6 months subscription free.

                On 22.12.2008 I charged for Rs.200 and VIde order No.1177924 requested for addon of Sports (Rs.105) and Kids+ (Rs.25) which got activated on 23.12.2008. Surprisingly my services (including free for 6 months) got deactivated on 18.01.09 for negative balance. I got Rs.100 recharged on 19.01.09 after which the connection was reactivated. On 20.01.2009 I called customer care and talked with one Ms Sangeeta and requested for deactivation of addons. She informed that she has submitted the request and addons shall be discontinued wef 26.01.2009. Today on 01.02.09 my services have again been deactivated. I called customercare and talked to one Mr Abdul. He said that I have got negative balance of Rs.8 and told that services will be restored only if I recharge. On checking he informed that addon services have not been discontinued. For getting the addon services discontinued customer has to call only on 25th/26th of the month and NOT before as I did.

                Being fedup I have decided not to recharge any more and stop using airtel services any more.

                My mobile no. is [protected] and the thing is since i complained against airtel that they are charging me unnecessary charges, my 121 (customer care) service has barred from their side so that i can't contact them and can't inquire about the wrong billing. Even i try with other nos. then they said that i m not able to open your account technically so call again later.

                So could anyone help me out in this?

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Fraudulent charges for new connection

                I had bought your digital tv service on 15/04/2009 and the service was for Rs. 2600 which comes with all the charges and one year of free channels of supervalue.

                Till today my account shows as pending for activation and also I received an SMS saying that my account is in negative balance Kindly recharge so that the service is not interrupted.

                I need to know why I have to recharge for Rs. 850 when I was told that the service comes free for one year and i had already paid Rs. 2600 for the whole year. I Need to know why Airtel has cheated me and when I call up the customer care number they say that I have to contact the dealer who has not provided me with the correct amount of the voucher and if I want I can cancel my service.

                Does the dealer represent airtel or they work on their own selling schemes of their choice... I did not know airtel can cheat me in buying their product and then ask money for me which I had already paid...

                I had done a recharge for Rs. 400 which has also gone for waste as I cannot use that for top ups.

                I want my account to show positive Rs. 400. I will not contact the dealer airtel has to contact the dealer and find out why i was provided a lesser amount voucher...

                I would like to bring your notice that I have purchased a new sim card as my existing sim was spoiled.
                I was told by Airtel representative that sim will be activated within 4 hours, but it got 24 hrs. completed still sim is not activated this sim I purchased from Airtel gallery fort Mumbai.

                I called Airtel helpdesk 121 but did not get any satisfactory answer, I was told I will have to visit Airtel gallery again, this is very ridicules for a reputed company which is having billions of customer but providing very poor service.

                This is not first time I have similar experience earlier as well, as a customer I would recommend please enhance and find the loopholes in your service.

                I had the same problem it was repeatadely showing negative balance. The problem is resolved now. If this happen again please keep the dish with you (don't return it) and take some other connection. Let them taught a lesson.

                Airtel DTH — Lack of service and charging for service at their will

                I am a Airtel DTH customer for almost 8 months. My experience has been that they are totally pathetic in their service. There is only one way through which one can reach them, i.e. through Call Center. On average I waste 30 min in just connecting with them, there also no one is able to help

                Recently I faced problem related to set top box. The software of STB was hanging. I was told by call center agent that I will be charged Rs 300 for STB replacement. Whereas later I came to know that I have spent Rs 1100 on that. There also Call center agent behaved in a very arrogant way. These companies are operating in a purely monopolistic way, no way there is any consideration for customer. Which was the main intent behind CAS or DTH.

                I belive TRAI should make rules so that inter-operatability between various service providers in opened, so that this coterie between various DTH suppliers is broken.

                but till this day i have not got the package i have opted for.i have contacted your dealer not less than 10 times reg this but ther is no response.he has been trying to contact your customer care and says its no use even i have tried to contact customer care and i find that there i no use contacting cutomer care it is only waste of time. now i have come to a conclusion that i have been cheated by airtel dth and the dealer and public money is looted. finally i have decided to deliver back the set box and all materials back to your dealer and take alegal route.i have decided not to go for any of the airtel services.

                Airtel — Non receipt of Airtel dish connection after 6 months of getting one

                I live in Bangalore and I got Airtel dish connection in January 2009. My apartment had restrictions installing dish on terrace and hence we initiated transfer of dish to our home in Chennai. Even after 6 months and with about 50 mails, calls, the dish transfer is not done. Lately I have been talking to one Sathish, who claimed to be the Service Manager in Bangalore. He had only made false promises and no action has been done until now. This whole issue had led to a lot of mental agony from our end and waste of time, you can imagine what would happen if we had to follow up on something we own for 50 times and still do not get it done. what is so hard for a company to service its customers for the products that they offer? we are not demanding anything that does not belong to us. It has turned out to be such a bitter experience.Can someone in Airtel take a look at this and not end up with dissatisfied customers?

                I fully agree with several statements appearing in the forum that Airtel Digital TV is one of the worst of the DTH service providers added to the fact that they a pathetic record of handling or responding to Customer Complaints either by email or telephone.

                I would require an immediate explanation & resolution from Airtel Digital TV for the following:

                We had installed the DTH unit in Feb/09 with South Mega package. On 14th Aug/09, it was noticed that some of Malayalam & Kannada channels are not being received. From my online account I could check that a 6 months of South Mega subscription has been activated on 14th Aug/09 by debiting Rs.1638 from my account. My questions are:

                a) Who authorised this debit ? None of the family members have requested this. Can Airtel advice name, telephone number, date & time of this request ? (Airtel is supposed to have a call validation process in place).

                b) If South Mega has been activated, why are we not receiving some of the channels which were part of the package earlier ? (e.g: Asianet, Asianet Plus, Kairali, Zee Kannada, TV 9 Kannada etc.

                c) If Airtel has changed channels in the bouquet, that is not acceptable as my selection of Airtel was based on channels in the bouquet offered. You cannot keep changing channels available in the bouquet.

                d) I have sent several emails to Airtel Digital TV Customer Service (from Contact Us option on the website) with not a single response.

                e) I have made connection on a dozen times (after nearly scores of attempts) however either the customer service representatives puts me on hold & the calls get disconnected or they are least interested in resolution of problem at hand.

                It appears that Airtel has made connection with their customer service unit so difficult that frustrated customers are left with no choice but to grin & bear the pathetic service meted out or turn to other efficiently managed DTH service providers.

                My tv is not recieving signal since 7th october and it says that <set top box is unable to recieve signal>.I contacted customer care of airtel tv imediately at about 1 pm and they assured that service person will visit my place within 24 hour . When nobody came till 9th october I contacted customer care again they assured the same . I contacted again on 10th october but during the conversation the sustomer care person disconnected the phone. I sent an email to airtel tv on 11th .Today is 12th october and nobody had yet came to resolve the problem.Kindly look into the matter and tell me what should I do and how should these days of no service be compensated in my account.

                airtel DTH (Dish T.V) — Regarding Voucher Recharge

                i am using a airtel DTH having customer ID [protected] by the name Ashish Bhowmik. On 1st of October i recharged with three vouchers of 250 Rs, 50 Rs and 50 Rs. It was also confirmed on IVR that it has been recharged. Today 24th sep'09 my DTH got disconnected due to insufficiant balance. When i inquired it said it my voucher of 250 Rs has been recharged but rest 50+50 has not been recharged. When i again complained to customer care they said one 50 rs is recharged in my account and the other to some other id. When i asked them the details of where it has been recharged they didnt tell me, later when i asked then then why the voucher of 50 Rs which u said has been recharged in my account is not showing they tried to mislead me. When finally i asked to generate a complain and give me a compalin id they made me hold for 40 min and finally disconnected the phone. After that i didnt receive a call too on my registered mobile no.
                Please sir do something

                Digital TV - Airtel — Harrassment by the customer service of DIGITAL TV

                I changed my address and i had to shift my Digital TV dish as well. I called up the customer service to appoint me an engineer who could do it at the earliest possible time becoz i had to shift my place within a weeks time. They kept giving me the complaint ID nos. but no one showed up to deinstall it. i received somewhat 10 nos. as such. Eventually i had to deinstall it myself and take it along to my new place. Then i again called up to reinstall it Hence, i was not very good with that. The customer service guys upon calling several times namely - Neeraj , abhishek , vikas etc told me to recharge it first and then to ask for an Engineer. I did the same, they deducted my 300 rs. without even sending an engineer to fix up the problem or resolving.I am still hanging in between with the same isssue.I would request all of you , not to buy digital TV please. The staff is sick..............................

                Airtel — Without informing disconnecting the number

                As i have taken a prepaid connection of number[protected] months back .The Sim number is:[protected]. It has a credit balance of Rs 300 in it till now. And it got disconnected 15 days back without my knowledge. As i conntacted the Airtel Customer care office in Prince Manor the representative connected me to the customer care officer of prepaid section. He told that as the number is not been used for 30days so it has been disconnected & the number is free n will not get the number. And i asked the customer care person he told that it will get disconnected if it not used for 45 days. they only don't know wht is a specific period. Wht the hell they think of them self as we r earning for our self not for them My 1) it was not informed me regarding the 30days issue, 2) n if the validity is given for 1 yr how the dissconnect the numnber if i use or not use it as it my wish to use the number when ever i requried.Is that not u that decide & other network provider does not have any issue like this as my number for vodafone nuber ([protected]) was off for more than three months but it is activated till now. 3) i want my money back in this u take the number or give another number i don't care & 4) Ur customer care executive does now to speak to a customer wht will they handle custmers. And u guys a cheating on our face itself. and it not a matter of money but the way u keep a relationship with a customer.

                Complain : You have upgraded my exhisting package without my conscent. Please restore the same at the earliest.
                I got a call from their end n the cce explained me that the current pack which is running on your system i.e. the super value pack will cost you less if you'll opt for a combined rpackage of 3 months which otherwise would have costed you 78-80Rs more n never told me about the disadvantages of the pack which they are supposed to. When I got this pack activated on to my account then what I see, that my 5-6 major channels were gone (including muzic channels n newz channels) which otherwise were coming in my normal package, so now when I called them up, they are giving me the crap that it's the new pack with the same name and less number of channels whereas I was pretty happy with the earlier package running on my system...so I felt cheated...n also when you call those cce's they don't even know how to communicate with you and their behaviour is very rude n unprofessional sometimes, and due to their incapabilities if you ask them to transfer the call to their seniors they forcefully disconnect the call from their side on course of techie faults(as if they are taught 2 use these scripted reasons). My call was disconnected consecutively 9 times in a row...and would u believe that when one of the cce's was asked to connect to the senior supervisor he said ... "he is out of station due to festival, n usually seniors are not available past 22:00 hrs", At the end when I was so much irritated with their services, then he reverted back saying that I'll make a new complaint for you as your previous complaint has not been looked upon...I mean to say they didn't even knew that they are not supposed to make a new complaint untill n unless the previous case is closed...as per the word of their floor manager (taneef) they were supposed to call me back within 24 hours...but I never recieved a call from their end...I would say...they don't value professionalism, punctuality, ...and above all cannot resist disconnecting calls when they don't have a solution...at the end..I got those channels activated at the cost of my own money...no doubt you provide good digital quality but along with your pathetic services

[protected] but he also expressed his inability to help in this regard as complaints are to be registered on the nos. given.The foregoing makes me feel that I have committed a blunder in opting your offer as it is proving headache for me and we are missing important programmes in the midway.                 TCL has paid Rs.7500/- to New Ybm Inc.on 25.02.10 for recharging Airtel Digital connection for 6 months renewal.
                The dealer has recharged for 2 months after i week. and the connection has got cut.
                now the dealer is not agreeing to recharge & we would like to get the money back.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Resuming of services pending after 4 days

                My Airtel Digital TV costumer id is 30018869. I had logged a request in Airtel Digital TV for my Location shifting some 10 days back and for suspending my services for a period. After repeated calls and follow ups no body came to dismantle the antenna but the suspended my services, Finally after 1 weeks followup I asked them to cancell my request for location change and at least resume my services. Again after repeated follow ups and my services have not yet been resumed. I have recieved multiple request numbers (2614659, 2624241) but they still seem to be unable to resolve the issue. I feel pity for the boys and girls sitting in the call center and taking calls, they repeatedly say that they are sorry, but I think the company should be sorry for making them work in such condations.
                My TV services are still suspended and I am not able to find any responsible and concerned officer or person in airtel. They don't have an escalation process and there seems to be a total system failure as everytime I call them they give me a new time limit. Hope somebody is there working on issues like thisor one day Mr. Mittal would be on a fault finding mission for the failure of his venture. We are theone paying for all your salaries and at least deserve a genuien effort, a proper concern, a proper explaination and somebody who can hear and resolve. I wish there is somebody responsible reading this.

                I am the "MOST MISFORTUNATE AIRTEL DIGI TV CUSTOMER IN THE WORLD " !! From where do i start ... it has been a nightmare from the day my relationship with AIRTEL began.. wether it is teleco, broadband or DTH ..                 My issue is as simple as the spelling of AIRTEL.. i have shifted from Chennai to bangalore & i want someone to come & REINSTALL my AIRTEL digital TV.fOR THIS 4 TIMES A REQUEST HAS BEEN TAKEN AND EVERYTIME AN ASSURANCE GIVEN THAT SOMEONE WILL COME AND REINSTALL IT TOMORROW..this Tomorrow has not Come as yet!!!!Shamelessly advertising and Hiking customer Expectations with Zero Deliverance by Airtel has left a bitter taste in my Mouth about the Brand and WILL NEVER EVER SUGGEST INFACT DISSUADE PPL FROM BUYING ANYTHING THAT IS REMOTELY CONNECTED TO THIS GOD FORSAKEN FIRM....THE CUSTOMER IS MADE TO LOOK LIKE JOKE!!!
                AND WE THOUGHT THIS WAS ABOUT "ENTERTAINMENT"??????????????????????

You first need to call your so called CALL (or DO NOT CALL ) centre & listen to your boring AIRTEL music which blares away like a crow in your ears for a minimum of 30 minutes for each call.. then you WARN the customer that YOU WILL RECORD THE CALL..& suddenly..everyone forgets to pick up the call..i think they get too tired everyday by PLAYING THE LOUD MUSIC & go off to SLEEP when a customer calls..This is my second week in Bangalore & you guys dont seem to care.. I HAVE A GREAT IDEA.. I will drag you to court & make sure YOU BECOME A NATIONAL SHAME .. I expect immediate revert on my complaint from AIRTEL's end & want my connection to be reinstated with immediate effect before 12 noon.

                I had recharged Airtel Digital TV 1200 Rs last month now, my account showing -790 rs, Hence Account has been suspended for one week I have called up many times and got three complaint no 2764651, 2753925, 2756423 but no action has been taken place. Now, I have told them to disconnect the connection, they are not doing and told me that your Rs 1200 can not be refunded. I am suffering of the poor service and attitude.

                I am Gaurav Kumar Singh, an airtel digital tv user. I have shifted to a new place and had requested customer car of airtel dtv for de-installation and re-installation of the connection at my new place..they had booked my request 5 five days back for 11- June nobody turned out and nobody even called..
                We had again called customer care to know the reason, there was no reason being provided, just a complaint lodged--ref#3035713 for negligence of engineer. We were promised that our request will be taken care of before 2 p.m. -- June 14 but again no call, nothing from AIRTEL. Customers are made to wait for 15-20 min on customer care toll free number, nobody to attaend the call.. REALLY WONDER WHAT ARE CC EXECUTIVES BUSY WITH WHEN THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO SOLVE AND MANAGE SMALL ISSUES OF CUSTOMERS.

                We had faced faced similar experiences in the past when even after recharging the account, airtel dtv was not airing anything for a month. Really would want CONSUMER FORUM to look in to this seriously, AIRTEL DTV cannot take customers for granted and just do everything according to their will..

                I purchased airtel digital tv on 7th June 2009. all was ok suddenly on 4th July 2010 the screen went blank
                I made a complaint. they promised that there is some fault, so engeneer would come till 5 PM and solve your problem
                it was a Sunday, so the whole sunday went as waste.
                no one came and no call also regarding the issue was recieved. on 5th July I again called up. they said sorry madam your solution time has been extended in our system now you be rest assured your tv will be allright by 10.58 AM... at 11.30 I again called as there was no improvement. I was given another time... sme dialogue... your solution time in our system has been extended, your problem will be solved latest by 4.53 PM. but no one can explain me what the fault is.

                Airtel DTH — Non- redressal of complaint

                I Am using airtel dth. For past 5 days i am facing some problems with the set top box. I have registered too many complaints against this problem but none has ever been resolved till now.
                Kindly help me with the issue
                The airtel digital TV's services are very very bad my airtel digital TV recorder is out of service but no one is bothering to rectify the fault 8 days had passed but no one cares tell us what I can do because the dealers of Amritsar ASHA ENTERPRISES ARE NOT TAKING OUR CALL . wat should we do to solve our problem my air-tel digital TV recorder 's id is [protected]

On this basis im receiving daily message to my number [protected], the same i complaint to your customer care executives and they said they had registered the complaint and it will stop after 24hrs (this is past 2month appx.) and some lady from your end had called me for telling some offer and i explained the same thing to her and then she transfered to some other person where i explained the same problem that im recieving message from your end. But till now no action is taken from your end.

                Kindly let me know issue in stopping the message to my number and how come u can register others number to other customer id.

                Airtel DTH — fraudulent and wrong messages to the customer

                I had received a message in my DTH stating that the recharge for my pack is Rs.1000/- for 12 months and Rs.550/- for 6 months. Since my validity has expired I had paid Rs.1200/- to recharge my validity for 12 months. To my astonishment I was vaildated for 7 months only. When contacted Airtel DTH customer care they say the message dosent include the taxes. Such messages are being sent only to mislead the customers that Airtel is the cheapest DTH available in the market. I strongly condemn such messages which are very misleading. and fraudulent.
                I have done top up for Airtel digital.on 26 july TLUGU .There are total 8 channels BUT we have seen only 4 channels. WHAT ABOUT OTHER 4 CHANNELS

                DTH airtel — WRONG VALIDITY & INCOMPLETE CHANNELS

                dear sir, i paid Rs.3640/= on dt.13.10.2010 to the dealer ashish communication P-126 C I T Road kolkata-700054 dealer of dth airtel service for TV valid for first setofbox upto 14.12.2011 and Rs.160/= paid on dt.13.10.10 for second setofbox valid for one month for MEGA CHANNELSCHEME

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Airtel DTH installation pending

                Dear Sir,

                I have procured a 32" Smasung LCD TV for which I got an Airtel digital TV activation kit free. It is written clearly on the Kit that we need to recharge the digital TV account with Rs. 500. Still, the Airtel TV dealer ( Reach Telecommunications (P) Ltd., No. M75/3, Annanagar East, Chennai-600102) has taken Rs. 750 from me saying that the tariff is revised. We have paid the money on 16.10.10, and my Customer Id is [protected].Also got a message from DTH saying that Rs. 750.00 was successful.

                Till today nobody has come for commisssioning. When enquired, Airtel says that there is some problem in the kit provided by Samsung.

                Why do you penalise customers for issues btween Airtel and Samsung ? It is cheating us. You people say free kit and extract Rs. 750 and then you want to say that there is some problem in the kit ? Airtel should have told the issue before recharging it.

                Please reply for the follwowing queries :
                1. Why was Rs. 750 collected when the kit clearly mentions Rs. 500 ?
                2. As the validity marked on the kit is dated 30th November 2010, why do you say that there is an issue ?
                3. If no such free scheme exists why do you cheat customers this way ? No customer would be interested to go with Airtel for any services in future.

                Please try to resolve my isue immediately.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — No action

                I got this Airtel HD stb two months back.Firstly after buying the connection , the company did not installed the STB and dish as said by the executive.after repeated calls and threatening to return the connection , they told me that they dont have HD STB at the moment.I waited and finally after a week they installed it.Now for almost one month I have been writing to them about my STB complaint and calling them.but in vain.Airtel people are very busy and do not respond to customers.I suggest dont buy a Airtel digital TV.They are the worst and preety professional in fooling customers,they just call once or twice and visited once after that its stalemate/status quo.

                Airdigital TV — wrong package activation

                I am Nitesh Kumar Gupta purchased airtel digital tv and it was installed on 30.10.2010. At the time of activation i said customer care executive that he select the economy package on my customer id ([protected]). I got a sms on 24.12.2010 that aapka airtel digital tv account jald hi band hone waala hai from airtel digital tv then i called customer care why my account will close. He replied that in your id mega package was selected then i know that it fault was occoured at the time of activation by the customer executive. I said that i told for economy package at the time of activation and you have record of conversation hence you can listen it then talk with we and change my package give me continue service but he has not given proper response. After this i submitted a complaint online on digital tv webside but still i have not got any response. I requested you pls submit my complaint relevent authority.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — Non receipt of TV programmes since 22/01/11

                It is disgusting to note that inspite of Complaining of non receipt of TV programs since 22/01/2011 no action has been taken by Airtel Digital services.
                our adapter given by Airtel people is damaged every 6 months. Form past week, we are trying to lodge complaint. They open the complaint, and next day we get a sms saying complaint is resolved.
                We also keep on getting calls, no one comes home and resolves issue.

                I had registered a complaint to Air Tel DTH Customer Care request no. 5407613 dated 13.02.2011.But till dated 27.02.2011 my complaint is not attended.i also contacted help line and senior department many times but my case was not resolved .but today an engineer came to my house to attend the complaint but there was problem in the setup box so he contact the dealer to ask about the box but dealer called me to give the happy code unless our complaint was not attended and we were not happy.Dealer also said that unless you don`t give the happy code i won`t attend your complaint.My TV is switched off from 13.02.2011till today and i am unable to watch it.

                AIRTEL DIGITAL TV — NO CHANNEL WORKING

                No channel is was coming since 16th March except a message saying "Error code B001". I tried to book a complaint and after two attempts my compliant was registered. On the next day after noon I got a call from a Service Engineer that he can come between 11.00 AM to 5.30 PM only. I was in Noida 30 KM away and could not reach home before 5.30 PM. On 18th March I got another call in the after noon from [protected] saying that the service is done only between 11.00 AM and 5.30 PM and reach home immediately. I took special permission and reached at 5.30 PM and no one turned up to 8.00 PM (till the time I am sending this email). We missed our programs for 2 days and I had to leave my urgent office work and sit at home for over 2 hours for nothing. Even though I made several calls, the engineer is not even picking up the phone to say that he has some problem and can not come to my house.

                Today on 19th March another Service Engineer [protected] called at 11.00 AM today did not turn up in the evening as requested by me. I took special permission and reached home early and no one turned up till 6.00 PM (till the time I am sending this email). We missed our programs for 3 days and I had to leave my urgent office work and sit at home for over 3 hours for nothing. Even though I made several calls, the engineer did not pick up the phone to say that he has some problem and can not come to my house.

                When every company is providing services for domestic appliances at home from 9.00 AM to 8.00 or 9.00 PM according to the convenience of the customers, why Airtel has a Service Department not caring for the customer's convenience? Airtel can not expect its working couple customers to take leave and sit at home waiting for its service engineer who never turns up at the appointed time.

                Earlier when I asked for free Tamil top up (which I specifically mentioned before making the payment), I was told by customer care Mr. Ritish Jeriwal in an unfriendly manner to watch some north Indian regional programs like Punjabi, Bengali or Oriya which I can not even understand.

                Further I paid Rs.2,514/- by credit card and I got 2 SMS saying that Airtel received Rs.1515/- and Rs.999/-. I was told that Rs.1,515/- is for the HD STB and Rs.999/- is for the programs. In the website I saw cash back of Rs.250/- and 5 months free subscribtions. But when I talked to customer care, I was told that I will get only one month free subscription.

                You are requested to provide a customer friendly good service and get the Digital TV working at the earliest and extend the validity of free subscription by 4 months.

                And I also had the similar experience with Airtel, the response of Customer Service Executive is very bad. This was a service executive by name Pankaj and he put me on hold for more than 15 minutes and finally disconnected my call. And next time I could reach them out only after multiple attempts and when I asked the same to these executive they said that this time they won't disconnect. And it confirmed my presumption that they are doing willingly. I would hope we have a DTH Portability also soon and then they feel the pressure. How can they take customer granted.

                If they are not ready with the services why do they send out SMSes and other messages about the new services.

                Also, one more interesting thing is they are not offering a local DD channel and provide other regional channels. I am from Andhra Pradesh and would like to see Telugu DD FTA channel which is a mandatory requirement as per TRAI guidelines but they provide all other regional channel and not DD Telugu and if you ask the same the response is very bad

From 07th of april 2011 my airtel DTH set up box is not working and I have registered a complain about this. Since then I have called more than 20 times but no luck they are not looking into this. the airtel dealer also not picking the call.

                  I bought a prepaid connection from Airtel from retailer Oberoi Telecom at Defence Colony Kanpur. It has lifetime validity. The phone number is [protected]- It was bought on 30 Jun 09 and activated on the same day in the evening. On 01 July 09 I charged the phone with two top ups of Rs 888/- each. I got a confirmation that the recharges were successful. I noticed that no incoming calls were coming so I complained to the retailer who assured me that it would be set right and he would tell the Airtel company about it. He rang up airtel and then told me that the phone details were not coming on their screen/system and something would be done about it by evening. Nothing happened. At night the retailer told me that it takes 24 hours for the problem to be resolved. On 02 Jul I rang up the retailer and he said he will do something about it. I then rang up Airtel Customer complaints 121. They said that they can't do anything as the details are not showing in the system and I will have to contact Lucknow. They gave the the address of their Kanpur Office and said that they did not have a phone number of the Kanpur office. What a bunch of liars!!! This is Sunil Mittal's world class company!!! I fell cheated. The service personnel of Kanpur must be the worst. I am sorry I chose Airtel- just because the retailer told me to. I should have stuck with BSNL or Hutch. Can something be done about it!!
                  i am a retailer in mhow madhya pradesh M/s ashok electronics.in 2004-05 period airtel prepaid was launched in mhow and at that time till now april 2009 i was giving outstanding activation but from last 3 months a new Territory manager has come and saying that if you are not willing to do activation don't do activation i can complete my targets by other territory or gave an option to close my counter.i want justification that at the time when there were competitors and retailers were doing less activation over here i was the retailers with other manager of airtel prepaid we have boost up the sales of airtel and in the past month scenerio also i have qualified as navratna elite partner and in the top 10 silver partners in whole m.p please let me know what i have to do the outlet is closed from last 1.5months.

                    I have paid my Airtel Broadband[protected] bill for the period 26-04-09 to 26-05-09, which was payable on or before 25-06-09, on 03-06-09 through ICICI Bank (Madurai - K K Nagar Branch) Cheque No.648899, dated 03-06-09, which was debited from my Account on 08-06-09 towards Airtel as per bank statement. The cheque was drawn on "Airtel (A/c[protected]", as instructed in the Bill. To my surprise I started getting SMSs and calls from Airtell from 20-06-09, regarding non payment of bill. In every such calls from Airtel, I have given them all relevant details of my payment, but they have not updated in their end. Finally i raised a complaint regarding this issue in Airtel Customer Care on 26-06-09 explaining the details. The Complaint No. given was "21317850", and promised that the issue will be solved within 2 working days. Today 01-07-09 i have received the next bill for the period 26-05-09 to 26-06-09, in which I found that it shows that previous bill is unpaid, at the same time I have been charged Rs50/- + service tax for late payment of bill. Also the bill is payable IMMEDIATE.
                    I feel it Insulting and Harassing. I expect from Airtel –
                    (1) The late payment charges and Service tax their on should be reversed immediately.
                    (2) Airtel should Apologise in writing for this mistake.
                    (3) Airtel should Waive my latest bill as a gesture of Compensation for the harassment done to me.

                      I have a quick question, that is it the same Airtel who provides the best services to their users ? I had this believe in my mind but it is getting fade now.

                      I am having many Problems with the broadband connection.
                      Recently(In the month of May 2009), My connection was disconnected due to some payment issue, Then One Airtel person (Named as Manoj) called me and ask me to clear the bills,
                      He ask me to pay Rs1290.00/- to clear all the dues till June 04, 2009, so I paid the same for continuation of my broadband connection (receipt no:[protected], my connection also started at same day as well.

                      But after 4-5 days it got down again... then I called at customer care on June 11 (communication ID :[protected], for this one guy came to me to resolve the issue but he was not sure that what is the problem, and he told me that some other guy(someone his senior) will come to solve this issue, after that No One come to me, and my broadband is still dead.

                      Now after that I received one call from Airtel, one guy ( didn't remember name) ask me to submit 2000/- rupees to clear my dues, then I told him the actual situation, he assured me to make all things fine, but nothing was changed.

                      After all of this, Again today I got a call from Airtel guy (named as Rahul), and he was asking the same(to clear all my dues), but I denied to pay anything (As I didn’t use Airtel services for whole the month), but he was not ready to hear me or not trying to understand actual situation, and asking me to pay 2000/- then 500/- at last 250/- but I denied( because I was not sure that how long my services can be good going with this payment).

                      His way of talking was not a decent one, I asked him to provide me the Communication ID of our talk, but he didn't gave me.


                      Someone please look into this issue and advise me, what I need to do.

                      very big cheaters.I would suggests better go for BSNL.its some length process, but service is good and we can have some escation matix to escalate.

                        First of all I would like to know why the heck they call it "customer care"?? Well, I don't expect people to care about me but being a service provider they should at least listen to me, shouldn't they?
                        I wished to give an Airtel digital tv and tried to contact their customer care[protected]. Even after 30 minutes of perseverance i could never get to talk to a customer care executive.

                        I read in this site about their poor customer service and boy did i experience it even before getting a connection!!!

                        Wake up you so called service providers. If you don't listen to your customers you will be thrown out of business( though not immediately). I'm so frustrated that i'm going to start a propaganda advising people not to buy airtel digital tv.

                        i had given complint to customar care on 15/10/2010 the comp no 4149514 to shift my aantena/set up box to my new address still they are not respondig to my complint .i called to customor care nearlly 10 to 15 times they are just cutting my call

                          Dear sir,

                          I purchased a nokia phone (model 1209) from Chadha communication, Sarojini Nagar market, New delhi-23 on 19.6.09. There was a promotion scheme and they gave an airtel prepaid connection alongwith the phone. I got this connection activated from Cell-Com, A-20, Lajpat Nagar-II, New Delhi 24 after submission of my ID proof (FORM NO: [protected]) . They activated the mobileNo.[protected] from SIM NO:[protected] as per the sticker in the sim card cover. Later on it has come to notice that the SIM No. and the phone number outside the box is different. Chadha comunication, sarojini nagar had made a mistake and has placed a wrong sim and phone number inside the box. This is to inform you that the my ID Proo[censored]sed to activate mobile No.[protected] is wrong. Please deactivate the mobile No.[protected] as the ID proof for activation of this number is not for this number.

                            I have an airtel post paid connection [No [protected]]. When was about to cancel the connection in the month of February 2009, the customer care executive, (i think its ARUN) offered me free calls worth Rs 250, and changed my bill plan. But the offered amount 250Rs was not deduced from my account. I spoke to executives at customer relationship center so many times, all the time they just forwarded a complaint but the issue was not resolved. Finally they blocked my number. an executive called me for bill payment, i spoke to him regarding the same issue, then through the same executive I spoke to the show room manager (Airtel Customer Relationship Center, Moosapet, Hyderabad) he asked me to give a cheque deducing 250 Rs from bill and he promised me that with in 4 days incoming and outgoing will be activated.But nothing happened so. After 2 months of time again I gave complaints on the same issues at the same customer relationship center (Airtel Customer Relationship Center, Moosapet, Hyderabad) and also to the call center executives. Thet promised me that the issue will be resolved but nothing happened so. I dint get any reply from them.

                            Airtel — unauthorised deduction of bill

                            My mobile no. is [protected].I have activated this no. in 13 Dec 2008.On 24th I have got a message that your "Mitti ke Rang" servuce will be renewed.When asked regarding this to the custimer care they told that this service has been activated on your number from last four months.Then I told them the story & they have given back the money.But after that on around 24th of every month they deduct the same and after calling the customer care they return the same.Each time I told them to deactivate the scheme and they people say that sorry sir this will not happen any more.But now again on 24 Mar 09 the money is deducted.I am a custemer of Delhi and now I am at Bangalore. Every month this Airtel is harrasing me.Please help me.This time I want to take the help of the Court of Law.

                              I have taken prepaid airtel mobile connection with number: [protected] at Bangalore. On 24-06-09, I received an SMS from airtel saying "Airtel Radio will be renewed in 3 days and you will be charged 30 Rs for 30 days. To unsubscribe call[protected]toll free). In the first place I did not ask for this service, and when I dial to to unsubscribe I get a message that this number is incorrect. After 3 days 30 Rs. are deducted from my account. I dialed[protected] and even this number does not exist. I felt cheated and could not believe that a reputed company like Bharti airtel is doing this to its customers.
                              In a similar way I am not able to unsubscribe from Hello Tunes, which they are forcibly renewing by giving wrong or part-phone numbers since last month or so and deducting money from my account.

                              Airtel Prepaid — service not provided

                              I purchased a prepaid SIM no.[protected]mobile no.[protected]). At the time of purchase I had submitted all requisite documents including a copy of my driving licence. However, service on this mobile no. was suddenly stopped without any information/notice.This shows callousness on the part of airtel staff besides being deficiency in service. The service should be resumed or else my balance amount be refunded.

                              1. THE COMPANY HAS BEEN CHARGING FOR SOME SERVICE CALLED GAMES CLUB WHICH I NEVER SUBSCRIBED FOR.

                              2. FUTHER TO THIS WHEN I CALLED UP THE CUSTOMER CARE , THEY ARE VERY RUDE AND SAY THAT 'YOU MUST HAVE SUBSCRIBED FOR THE SAME.

                              3. MEANWHILE THEY CHARGE FOR THE SAME PRODUCT AGAIN AND AGAIN ...IE; THE ONE WHICH I NEVER SUBSCRIBED.

                              4. THEY HAVE CHARGED ME Rs 10/- FOUR TIMES WITHOUT ME SUBSCRIBING TO THEIR SERVICE AND THAT TOO AFTER MY LODGING THE COMPLAINT WITH THEIR CUSTOMER CARE.

                              5. THE COMPANY IS AWARE THAT NO ONE WILL COMPLAINT FOR A SMALL SUM SUCH AS Rs 10/-, BUT HERE THEY MUST BE DUPING 100s OF CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS.

                              6. THIS ACT MAKE THE CUSTOMER FEEL LIKE A FOOL....... CAN SOMETHING BE DONE.!!

                              Airtel prepaid mobile — Charging for services never asked for

                              Regarding: Airtel Prepaid Mobile No : [protected]

                              1. I became a subscriber in end of February 2010. This connection I had taken largely for use on Twitter.
                              2. My first charge was around Rs 200. I did tweet several times, but otherwise kept the phone turned off most of the time. My last two charges were for Rs 200 (on[protected] and Rs[protected] and they finished rather quickly without my having done much tweeting.
                              3. On[protected], when I turned the phone on after a long time, I received an SMS informing to the effect that "some Friendship Chat service has been renewed @ Rs 30 per month and that my balance was Rs 264. I was shocked.
                              4. I had never asked for any services. When I contacted customer service, I found out that I was being charged for two or three services -- don't know for how long -- perhaps for nearly the entire duration that I have had the phone.
                              5. I called 198 (Airtel) and wanted to speak to some executive; twice after punching numbers as I had been instructed, to be connected to an executive, I got the message that I should check the number I had dialled and call again -- and both these calls were charged for!
                              6. On[protected], I was able to connect to an executive and complain about what had happened; he transferred me to some senior who had me repeat the whole thing. I also asked him to stop these unasked for services immediately and reverse all the charges they had deducted for the same, within twenty four hours.
                              7. The time limit I gave Airtel has passed and charges levied (for services not asked for) have not been reversed, nor any message received on action they proposed to take. That is why this step.

                                I have requested to shift my landline to another house with in the same area. Due to some technical issues, Airtel people have told me that it will take at least 2 weeks of time to get it done. But I have requested them that I need it as early as possible.

                                But the Service Level Agreement date has well passed 2 weeks. Now it become 4 weeks of time, Still I didn't get my broad band connection back yet.

                                So far I have called 10 times and each and every time you are taking at least 30 minutes time to respond which has resulted in at least Rs. 600 in mobile bill. To verify this, you can refer the Mobile bill of 96000 XXXXX for the month of June 2009.

                                Each and every time, your customer care executives coolly asking apologies which routine for them. I dont need apologise, I want action item.

                                Dont these have people any sense? Each and Every time the customer has to call and follow up. Why these people are not calling and giving updates to the customer?

                                The worst part of the total issue is, Today My call has been cut down after waiting in 15 minutes in the queue. Hello Boss.. Who is paying my mobile bill? I have to give it from my pocket.

                                And I still know, Airtel people dont pay attention to this mail. Still I just wanted to send.

                                Moral of the Story:

                                Being Airtel broad band connection customer is hectic.

                                  One fine day my airtel postpaid number stopped working. I called a tolled airtel customer care number and they said that they cant help me since my account has been blocked.

                                  Again after a month, the number was active again. And finally out of ethical behaviour I called the customer care to enquire about the final charges on my account. I was told to pay a amount. I made a internet payment.

                                  After 1 more month I get a call from [protected]. Some female gundi shouts at me.. All their customer care politeness is gone down the drain. When I ask her to get polite she says that "I am from the collections department". Collections department of airtel is the offical business name of Airtels gunda department.

                                  I have paid my dues, now they can fly kites for all I care.

                                    I have a prepaid connection with Airtel Karnataka[protected]. On my Trip to Kerala in April 2009 I tried to top up Rs.350 to my prepaid number. What actually got credited was only Rs. 3.50. Since then I have been in touch with Multiple Airtel Customer Service Representatives over the phone (both in kerala and karnataka) and it’s been 3 months and I have not got my account credited nor the money is returned back to me. I have received a message from airtel that my issue has been resolved and when I called to find out what the resolution was, I have been given the following answer. “ We are not able to solve you issue. You contact the dealer and get this resolved”. I’m surprised to get such a feedback from a reputed company like Airtel. If customer has to figure out a resolution for his problem then why do companies provide helpdesk numbers. Also being in Bangalore i cannot travel again to kerala to agent to solve this issue. I’m terribly disappointed with the way Airtel has handled this issue. I have dropped 2 mails to the nodal officer and 1 email to the appellate officer but there was absolutely no reply from either of them(via phone call, email). Airtel reputation in the market will go down if they do not correct such irresponsible customer service behavior.

                                      I have been receiving unsolicited messages from number 290603.

                                      Airtel is deducting Rs. 3/- per message every day. I have been robbed of Rs. 12/- till date.

                                      My repeated requests to the company to block the number and stop deducting the Rs. 3/- on these irritating, and nonsensical messages have fallen into deaf ears.

                                      Can any one help me get respite from these unwanted messages, and protect me from this daylight robbery by the company.

                                      I am a retired person, with only meagre income from my savings.

                                      Please help.

                                      Can the Airtel Authorities help me to get rid of these charges and stop playing fool with somebody's Income, this is an offence and immediate action needs to be taken.
                                      everyday I get SMS on Thought for Today and Rs 3/- has been deducted from my account, Im presently in U.S underwent a Knee surgery with serious multiple infection for which Im beeing treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester--Minnesota

                                      Every day I receive sms sayin Rs 3.00 deducted from your account for VAS download ...
                                      this way they have deducted around Rs 300 frommy account so far

                                      the airtel service is worst and without subscribing it is presumed that the customer is happy to avail the unwanted service.
