Dear Sir,

I have been having worst experience with Citibank. I am holding a credit card of Citibank. One day I got a call from Citibank's representative at Chennai and he informed me about health insurance policy. I had clearly asked him to send me the details of the policy and start crediting me the premiums ONLY AFTER I go through the policy details and give my consent. But they started premiums without my consent. I raised this issue with their officer and despite his assurance, this never get solved and they kept on crediting insurance premiums and its interest. Please let me know what I can do in this case.

    Hello, I am rajesh khanna from trichy tamilnadu. Due to unavoidable circumstamces i was not able to pass the cheque issued (rs 4909 from my wife account ) towards the mentioned card number. Instead of that from delhi they asked me to pay Rs 3000 everymonth on or before 22nd. I paid that amount. But again due to payment delay not able to make it on time. This was happend on may. Mr Ashish called from Delhi and asked me to pay the amount immediately. At that time really i was not able to. I dont know to whom i have to interact locally. I asked for the settlement He said Rs 35000 as the final amount instead of Rs 90000(i am not sure)
    I agreed. Because continous phone calls from delhi to my office or mobile really created a problem in my office which leads the management to force me to resign due to personal calls. Really i am frustrated and fed up.I told him not to call. We (myself and me) planned to sell a plot and do the settlement. So we have committed the date 12th of this month for the final settlement But due to some delay, nothing happened as per plan Still there is a delay. I dont know what to answer him. Yesterday he was shouted and asked me about the commitment. I also agreed with him. I told him that i will pay part amount and the rest before end of this week or month He said settlement is not possible please pay either rs 5000 / 10000 etc towards the card payment.

    I need a solution for this problem. Now he is threatening me like will speak with MD or HR..I already informed them abt the situation. But i do not know, how far this will work out.

    Please please advice.I am in trouble. That guy and his executives continously calling...

    This is Tarun Babbar from Pune. I am continuosly getting phone calls because I refuesed to take the credit card. I hereby request whoever is the owner here kindly do not make any other call on my number otherwise i need to seriously take some action and file a report against the BANK.

        Dear Sir/Madam,

        It as been a very long Association for me with Citibank since 1994.
        During the past 16 years I have never missed any payment or EMI
        and have a proven track record.I always feel pride of my association with Citibank.

        But due to recession I was unable to pay your EMI and you have put myself in the Defaulter's list.
        When I enquired about the how my name will be removed from the Defaulter's list,their representative told me the amount which if I will pay will make all the things normal and my name will be removed from the defaulter's list.
        After paying that amount there was no change in the situation as my name continue to be in the
        defaulter's list.
        The recession has left me with huge debts and Citibank can know the impact of recession as it was
        one of the greatest sufferers of it.
        Because of inclusion of my name in their defaulter's list , my loan application of LAP was rejected three times with three different banks and reason was same everytime as indicated above.
        I want to pay the debts of the banks including theirs also ,which now i have a great difficulty to clear.
        Now with Association with Citibank, I feel ashamed which I earlier felt to be pride.
        I will not suggest anyone to take Citibank Card as it will create a havoc in their lives.
        The treatment of theirs will not be forgetable for me and will try to spread the message of your treatment with me.

          Dear Sir,
          I have taken the Birla sunlife insurance polcy through CITIBANK,the citibank representative has taken the signature on the forms he filled the forms later.In that he opted for insurance coverage of Rs. 260000/-.Even i dont know this will cost me 850/- per month.Recently when i checked the policy statement in they are deducting this amount .When i asked Birlasunlife they says your advisor could have explained to you this.Now we cant change the coverage.This is freezed for 3years. You need to pay 850 permonth for 36months.If you surrender this also you need to pay more amount.This guy has never told the insurance charges.CITIBANK cheating us.Dont take the policy through CITIBANK.
          How can i get the change the insurance coverage from 260000/- to 90000/- atleast my money will be saved in future.

            From past few months we are getting phone calls from citi financial and how much-ever we ask them to not to call and delete our phone number, they agree and do it but again we get the calls from next day onwards and the person who speaks through the phone is very rash and abuse us in very bad words through phone. We have aged people at home and they will be sleeping that is what we want to convey the citi financial services but they doesnt seem to understand. One person called and he is talking in so many bad words and threatening us that from now onwards our number will not be deleted in database and everyday we will receive the call. We don't know what to do. Can someone provide us contact of the director of the bangalore branch so that we can give a complaint. Kindly help us.

              Hi,

              I have taken a Car Loan from Citibank in 2006. At the time of taking the loan Citibank Rep asked me to setup an electronic clearance of EMI from my Bank Account, different bank. It was easy and convient so I have agreed for the same.

              I failed to pay one payment in 2008 and since then my problem started. They have started presenting 3 ECS to my bank since then. First one for the actual EMI and other two for the mising EMI. Since I have changed my account, I was just depositing the loan amount an was unaware of the fact that my money was going into penalties.

              Each time they present the ECS. I was charged with ECS failure Charge + Late EMI + Bank Charged me for ECS failure.

              Since[protected] I was simply depositing the money without actaully looking at the statements. Now, I was informed that my bank account is closed due to failure ECS. I have been charged around 60,000 for all these in 3 years.

              Can someone please guide me whom I can seek help on this matter?

              The same was happened with me. In the statement, they are mentioned "others Rs.58, 000/-" I don't know what it means. How to over come this amount? Please guide me

                Two online transaction for Rs 9999 each using my credit card details was made on the web. i received an alert SMS for the same, as i had not done these transactions i was shocked and immediately called up citibank and informed them about this fraud transaction and requested them to hold the transaction. but the bank did not take any preventive action and the transactions were debited to my card when i requested them to take action they asked me to file a police complaint which i did and now after two months they are saying that it was legitimate transaction and i have to pay.

                i had visa protect password hence i questioned the bank how can the bank allow transaction with date of birth when password protection is available on the card. they should have declined the transaction. then they asked me to file a complaint with the police and the scanned copy was send to the bank and then they reversed the amount.

                On Oct 20, 2018 I received an alert message saying that "Rs.3499.00 spent on my Card xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx at CITRUS PAY MCAFEE was processed without PIN/OPT as prescribed by RBI. Available balance limit is Rs xxxxxxx " Since I was shocked the alert, presuming it might have a fraud, I tried to contact you thru email/web- contact etc., as presently in I am in USA and contacting on phone was possible. Even I mailed to CITRUS questioning on the authority of drawing my money without my consent. However there was no response from both of you instead you have sent me your monthly statement including above fraud amount. Now, I realized that this is a possible fraud jointly operated by you and CITRUS.
                I therefore request you to kindly return the above illegal payment processed to my credit card account and cancel my credit card immediately as I have no trust in your card any more. In case If there is no response from you I may have to approach consumer protect authority to do the needful.

                  Sir,
                  I have an a/c with citibank having a/c no:[protected]. On 20/3/2010, Rs1500/- was transferred to others a/c through cheque no. 51271 which was not signed by me as I did not receive that cheque. When I called citibank customer care, they said that they will refund the money in my a/c. But as on 28/6/2010, I have not received the money yet.

                  Hi,

                  I have a Suvidha A/C with Citibank since September '07, it was a salary account, i left my previous company in January 2011 and didn't make any transactions in the account since February 2011, I've joined a new company and want to get that A/C transferred to the payroll entity of my present company. However, the bank representatives would not accept my driving license as an ID proof; as per the bank representative who was very rude, " We don't accept driving licenses as ID proof due to bank policies especially if it has been issued by U.P govt." I've requested them to give this statement to me in print but they are not ready to do so. I am very upset as I am unable to deposit my salary cheque and I've got bills to pay. Please help me.

                      Hi,

                      I'm want to file a complaint againt Citibank as I received a call from one of the representative stating that I'm qualified to increase my credit- card limit but I was busy so I called the customer care after 2-3 days asking them to increase my credit limit but they stated that I'm not eligible and when questioned on speaking with a supervisor was placed on hold and then transfer to a supervisor and I was not happy with the service provided so I asked to speak to a Manager who can assist me on the same and after a very long hold of around 10-15 minutes the supervisor said the manger will call back within 2 days (48 hours), I mentioned that the manager needs to call me b/w 10AM - 3PM but I never received a call from the manager even after a months time. I have wasted money calling the customer care as I didn't receive any response even after being on the phone for close to 2 hours. I need the bank to componsate for their mistake as I was under mental stress for the time I was on call with the contact center people and waiting for a call from the Manager for an answer. Please do the needful by helping me and all the other customers who are taking for a ride by the bank.

                          This is in regarding cancellation and reversal of charges on Citibank CC no [protected], as i have never used this card for any purchases but in CC [protected] i was charged with mediclaim policy fees and this mediclaim policy was issued by Citi bank to me with out any approval or intimation. So when i came to know about the false charges been imposed on CC no [protected] i opted to get it cancelled and i cut the card in 4 pieces and sent to your chennai office by registerd AD dtd 13/03/2006 for cancellation of card.But till time CC no [protected] is not closed , so request to send us closure intimation and reverse all the charges on CC [protected].also i now from sourses Citi bank had enter my name in CIBIL , so pl do needful for remove the my name from the CIBIL & canceled the all amount which i never used the CC

                            Refusal to deliver courier (Credit Card from Citibank) on false basis

                            To Blue Dart & Citi Bank

                            This is regarding refusal to deliver the courier (Credit Card from Citibank) on false basis of "NON AVAILBILITY AT ADDRESS" by the courier delivery executive of Blue Dart.

                            The executive called on phone for delivering the credit card at 3:17 PM on 22/06/2010 and said he will arrive within 1 hour BUT he did not come. When I called he said that he had visited and there ws no one at the given address.
                            I told him that he could have called me up as he had my contact number. To this he said that he did not have a phone & he is not going deliver the courier.

                            ACTUALLY THE COURIER EXECUTIVE HAD NOT VISITED AND WAS LYING THAT THERE WAS NO ONE AT THE GIVEN ADDRESS. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT THE BLUEDART COURIER SERVICE HAS NOT DELIVERED MY CARD. THEY HAVE BEEN GIVING THE SAME FALSE EXCUSE AND NOT DELIVERING MY CARD & THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON SINCE ONE MONTH.

                            CAN'T THEY FIND A SIMPLE ADDRESS EVEN IN ONE MONTH?
                            SINCE I AM RECIEVING ALL CORRESPONDENCES AT THE GIVEN ADDRESS, THEIR EXCUSE IS TOO LAME TO BE CONSIDERED & SHOWS THAT THEY HAVE MADE NO EFFORT AT ALL TO TRY TO DELIVER THE COURIER.

                            THEY ARE SIMPLY LYING!

                            By the quality of services the Blue Dart is offering, they are NOT RELIABLE SERVIES and CitiBank must reconsider using their services.

                            TO THE CITIBANK :-
                            BY MAKING THE ABOVE COMPLAINT I HAVE MADE IT CLEAR THAT DUE TO THE INEFFICIENCY OF BLUE DART I HAVE NOT RECIEVED MY CREDIT CARD. THE BANK WILL HAVE TO HOLD BLUE DART RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY MISUSE OF THE CREDIT CARD & IT WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CITIBANK TO RECOVER THE CREDIT CARD.

                            Courier boy who came in morning does not have civilised manner and further does not have sense to judge the genuity of ID Proof that ha has asked for as my name on DL appear as N.K.Ishwar.
                            Take tha matter seriously to deliver the courier at an earliest otherwise I am free to take legal action after completion of all formalities.

                            Citibank Credit Card — NON-DELIVERY OF CITIBANK CARD IN TIME

                            Sir,
                            One shipment as you informed no.[protected] sent by Citi Bank on 25.08.09 came to my residence on 28.08.09. Due to not availabilty of myself one msg. came to me asking for my availabilty. I confirmed my availabilty on 01.09.09 within 12 to 2 pm as you said. But your third class and callous delivery man did not turn up within that time.Then I left my residence at 3 pm. I talked to your customer care several times but failed to get any fruitful service. I have a good idea about your service but came to determine your most worthless, irritating and callous service. To regain your service please remove that type of your third class and callous delivery man save and except your organization immediately thogh that man suffers from starvation.
                            As a lawyer in the High Court at Calcutta, I can bring you before that Hon'ble Court. You are also well aware of the consequances thereof.
                            Pl. rectify yourself and return that document to the sender.The bank will arrange to send that document to my address.

                              I Have applied personal loan through online, the executive has come and collect the document from me.
                              I got a mail from citi bank for your application is being processed. after two days i called to the processing centre they are saying sorry to inform you, your loan application is rejected due to you are not got score of 750 points.
                              what is the meaning of collecting documents ?
                              I think CITI bank are playing game with us for just getting application and not processing any loan.
                              I'm a suvitha account holder alos, even i didn't get the loan.

                              I'm totally unhappy with CITI bank performance.

                              I totally agree with you. I too suffered the exactly the same today. I am a suvidha account holder for the last 5 years even then they rejected for just a loan amount of 1.5L. Poor service!!! God save the bank!!

                                dear sir,
                                my father has taken loan from citifinancial and unfortunately he lost his job and could not pay a few installments for the same. after several requests they agreed for a settlement. the settlement letter states that we should pay the money in six installments. we paid the first installment regularly and after that we started receiving threatening calls from a female recovery agent called VAISHNAVI (contact no.[protected]).
                                she uses abusive language every time she calls and she calls up my father's office and abuses his colleges.my father is a heart patient and every time the female calls he suffers from low blood pressure.
                                yesterday when i received the call she started abusing me in foul language. we are really very much harassed because of such a behavior. we will not make any further payments until any action is taken against this female.Also i would request to make this female touch my father's feet and apologize for making threatening calls.

                                Citifinancial — threatening for payment

                                Citifinance have taken 2 emi in one month wheni enquired for clarification they are giving more over the guy who called me for payment is shouting and threatening me over phone. I am an individual women. Please do something for this
                                we will not make any further payments until any action is taken against this female.Also i would request to make this female touch my father's feet and apologize for making threatening calls.

                                  I would like to make a formal complaint against Sandeep Sharma from citibank for rude behaviour on the phone with me and my mother. The tone in which he interacts is completely unacceptable. If this has to do with my account the interaction should be with me and not anyone else. Your complete organisation lacks the knowledge of DPA (Data Protection Act) and telephone etiquettes.

                                  DPA is not only sharing someone’s personal information with someone else however it is also asking questions about that person from someone else who is not responsible. My major concern is the rude and appalling manner in which Sandeep interacts. Constant over talking, a very negative tone, sarcastic use of words.

                                  In future I would like to interact with associates like Sandeep Sharma or Reshma Shetty (FYI..Who was not any better) and any further interaction happens with me directly and NOT WITH ANY ONE Else.

                                  I hope this email is taken with some level of seriousness unlike another helpless customer’s letter and any further interaction happen with you.

                                    I Neeru Takkar applied for the citi bank credit card. I submitted all my documents asked by your executive, salary slip, ID proof, add proof and my bank statement and while applying that was very clear that iam looking for the credit card with good credit limit Cos i travel domestic as wel international.
                                    Today i received the Delhi Metro card ins ted of credit with the limit of rs.10,000/ with wrong name on card it is written Neeru Thakkar, while all my docs saying the right name and i also confirmed it 4 times on ph as well.
                                    Am really disappointed with the services that applying for credit card and without any information am getting Metro card with the credit limit of rs.10,000. Am no more interested in keeping the card please close the card and i want all my documents back.

                                    i loged this complaint 2 years back for the deactivations of creditcard, but it no action was taken, & neither i was informend for anything. after 2 years when i applied for finance that time i came to know that my name is in cibil. when i logged another complaint to citi bank since that is the only credit card i ever applied but never used, bank was showing transction of rs10,000. when i spoke to Vikram one executive he promised me that if merchant copy sign wont match with my signature he will make tversal of that payment, but once they got merchant copy and sing didnt telly, the collection department made another story that i have misplaced the card so nothing can be done and the guy Somnath was so rude, and
                                    talking to me like i am criminal.
                                    My biggeset complaint is if any tranction has been done in my account why i was not informed????
                                    How can they declare me a defaulter without sending me any statement or calling me????
                                    How have they put my name in cibil????
                                    I am working with Future Group as senior trainerfrom last 2.5 years.

                                    i have only request please delet my name from cibil.Through out my life i never used any credit card, and after this i cant even dare to use. If without using a card i bank can do this to you dont want to imagine that what would they have done with me if i had used the card & denied to make the payement???

                                    CTIBANK CREDIT CARD — Cheating

                                    this is regarding citibank credit cards...
                                    This particular bank is harassing people in intellegent manner. what they do is ---they send you your credit card statement always late so that late charges and interest charges can be accumulated. I have faced such situations seven times in one year. moreover I dont understand why these banks use telephonic conversation for complaints or queries and always deny face to face conversation....there is no transparency in such departments / systems.

                                      I subscribed to Citibank Jet Airways Platinum card paying very high (Rs 3000) subscription. The agent told me that they give 4000 JP Miles for this subscription and that this card entitles me lounge access at all the airports.

                                      Recently, I was flying from India (Mumbai) to US and wanted to access the Clipper Lounge at the Sahar Intl airport. I was denied access and was told different stories/reason by different lounge operators. Receptionist told me that the lounge has recently changed the policy to not allow Master card members during rush hours (note that the flight time was past midnight). The reason I was given was that during rush times the lounge is kept reserved for premier class passengers. I called up the platinum card member services, they said there was no such policy change and I am entitled for lounge.

                                      I escalated the matter with lounge and this time and spoke with Mr. Amitabh Dike who is F&B executive. He told me that they are unable to meet my request, because the lounge was full. It was a complete lie because in front of me, they continued to entertain, foreigners (especially white/Europeans). This was a clear case of discrimination to Indian passenger although I was a legitimate passenger.

                                      I would like to file this consumer complaint against:
                                      1) The Oberoi Airport Services who runs the clipper lounge and its team leader (Mr. Mukesh Devlekar and Amitabh Dike) for falsifying the status of availability of the lounge and and discriminating access on the basis of color and race.

                                      2) I would also like to file a complaint against Citibank Mastercard who makes false promises for getting business from consumers. They are conning the consumers with high annual subscription fees for the card by alluring with the benefits which they do not meet. They have not fulfilled any promise they made including access to the lounge and crediting miles for subscription.

                                      Dear Concerns, it''s a humble request from me for my elder brother.He got his credits cards from citi bank but lost his job thereafter. in result what he had utilized from his master card could not be paid. now he has got his job again but recovery people from citi bank want their money atonce. please forgive him for total amount at once for he has a small baby to norish and remained jobless for many months and allow him to pay 8000Rs per month above which he cannot afford. Please please please he is ready to pay, don''t harass him every day, he is ready to pay 8000Rs per month please higher authorities accept this request he cannot even job properly in this tension. try to understand sir we wish we can but cannot give you atonce money and cannot afford more than 8000Rs per month. we are educated people and sincerely need your help and liniency to get out of this trouble. i''m his younger brother and i appologize for any word i used if has hurt you all.                                         My self Vinod Bhagat. I want to complaint against the citibank customer services. i am using a citi bank credit card [protected] which is exp in feb 2010. when i called to customer care they told me that it will reach to u within 7 days. i am again called to customer care after 1 month she again told me that sir it will reaches to u within next 7 days after many repetition till date i am not getting my card. when called to head customer care there is a lady samya introduced me as head of depp. and told me that your called will be reaches to u within 48 hours. i called u personally till that there is no response from there side. when i accelerated that matter to NODAL OFFICE DELHI (MR. Rakesh Singh). he revert me that your problem will be solved within 4 days and if not then revert. i am wait for 7 days but problem is same every time cc executive tell me a new story. my card is exp in feb and till after 4 month am not get my replacement card.
                                        When a customer is not able to pay the dues on time.Bank Charge him penalty and what about the bank if he is not giving there services to customer. why not charge any penalty to bank. When a bank not responding in issuing a card u can imagine how can he response if there is any matter of Money.
