I ordered a jacket from eBay on 15th December which was to be delivered on 21st December. The seller request for extension of delivery time, which I refused. Automatically eBay sent a message to refund my amount. The refund was initiated on 22 Dec, but according to policies eBay the refund was not done in 5 days. I have called eBay customer support three times, but I was not satisfied with the conversation. My paisapay ID - [protected] Claim ID- 368988. Kindly help in this matter, I don't trust eBay anymore.
Ebay has turned into fraud shopping website. The customer care has no answers to our questions.

In future avoid ebay. Instead buy from myntra or flipkart.

We would like to inform you that since the item was not delivered to you within timelines a refund has been initiated from the system on 26th Dec 2013, and will get approved on 31st Dec 2013 if the item doesn't get delivered to you by then.

Once the refund gets approved it takes at least 3-4 working days if the bank is a non-nationalized bank and 15 working days if the bank is a nationalized bank for the amount to reflect in your account.
In case if you haven't received it we would request you to send us your bank statement from the date of transaction till date on [protected]@ebay.com. Our team will co-ordinate with the bank regarding the same and update you via email.

    Hi I had purchased a samsung mobile from ebay.in on 27th November 2013. The seller had shipped the mobile on 30th November using Bluedart courier. When till 5th December i didn't received my courier, i contacted the courier company who informed that it was lost in transit. Now as per Ebay Guarantee i am suppose to get full refund since the product was never delivered to me. I have contacted the Ebay customer care 8 times but every time they tell me that they don't have update on the same. There website clearly tells the shipment has been misplaced but they are not ready to process the claim. Paisapay Id : [protected] Claim Id : 352261 Also i am attaching the screenshot as a proof. Please help me guys i have bought this mobile from hard earned money.

      Ebay although has good name but recently I have found it is started with all the wrong business practices the organization does not go by the rule book in rule they mention Deliver before 25 th and in practice they maintain that nothing to be delivered before 25 th but only on 25th however the before 25th means not 25th but 24th as last date now when I complained the customer support said "What ever!" So what ever I will say ebay will disregard the customer who is actually paying all the money it it shame that organizations like ebay keep such kind of staff who says so "What Ever"


      Ebay now takes no action against a seller that did not deliver per time thus delivery happens in 12 days, 5 days required to process why the item is not delivered as per specification and with lot of persuasion they will keep the refund in hold for 16 days, then fresh deadlines will be given as to when an update will come but unfortunately the update will never be about the refund but a letter stating that they have received the communication and most ridiculous 72 hours is what you can actually get a update( that your request is received, if only ebay says you will be responded within 24-48 hours else it will die by the natural law of time

And do not stop for their useless suggestion to wait as they are not doing anything to resolve your issue. This practice will compel them to think about your problem as they are concious about their reputation. It worked for many you should also give it a try.

        I work in Hyderabad, and we have desktop at home in Punjab. Ethernet Card of this desktop stopped working and my brother was not able to use desktop to connect to Internet.

        From eBay.in, I purchased USB-based Ethernet Network Card. (eBay order & seller details are given below). eBay.in 's product description clearly says that Packet will include (1) USB Ethernet Adapter, and (2) Driver CD.

        When my brother received the packet, he found that there is no disc to install Network Drivers. Without drivers, this item is of no use to anybody.

        I contacted the seller through eBay.in and also raised complaint with eBay.in. Initially, seller (shoppers_terminal) tried to say that it will be there for sure and asked to check again. Then my brother clicked photos of opened packet and shared with me using WhatsApp to prove to seller (shoppers_terminal) that Driver CD is not there. Then seller said it sometimes happen with 1 in 100 cases, and said he will resolve this issue through eBay.in Customer Care.

        I suggested the seller two options to resolve this issue:-
        (a) ship the new packet with USB Network Card + Driver CD and pick the useless item, or
        (b) ship the remaining Driver Disc.

        I told him that Driver CD is very important because in future if we reformat our desktop then we will need Driver CD to re-install Network Card drivers.


        Now, the story starts...
        eBay.in Customer Care team didn't even bother to understand customer's problem. Initially, she was so rude as if she is calling from Govt Department. She suggested that I ship the item back to seller. I promptly refused and said I am not going to bear another courier expenses. I have already paid Cost + Courier charges, and I am entitled to get items I paid for. I said this is stupid resolution. She was prompt to tell me that "Mind your language". I was shocked for a moment... and then decided to take this so-called Customer Support Rep head-on... I told her that our conversation is already getting recorded and I find it is okay to use words like "stupid resolution" "stupid ideas". Then she disconnected the phone... ahhh... what a Customer Care.


        I always thought eBay.in and Flipkart has good customer services, and these are good online portals.

        I have very bad experience with snapdeal.


        Now, eBay.in Customer Care is inisiting on sending the item back to seller otherwise I will lose my money paid to eBay.in. This clear violation trust we show in online shopping. This clearly not a proper business ethics.

        As a customer I feel cheated... I paid for Cost + Courier charges... and then eBay.in/Seller failed to ship ordered item and now they are asking me bear courier charges for return order... How can I trust eBay/Seller.

        Isn't seller/eBay.in should own its mistake? How can as I a buyer I should be asked to pay more?

        When I am clearly giving better resolution options, why Customer Care is insisting me to return the items and threatening to forfeit my money that I have already paid.

          I had purchased an item(A steel dust bin), which I received in very damaged condition. Claim id: 342443. Ref #: 1-[protected]. Only mistake on my part was I logged the claim for wrong reason, and eBay closed it. And now I can't log claim again and Ebay is not ready to give me refund for it. I wrote to seller with pictures of damaged item. He says eBay has to give refund as its damaged in shipping. I sent multiple emails to "[protected]@ebay.com" and received no response. Last I spoke with Mr.Irfan Khan with eBay customer service, and he was so arrogant and not willing to help, he even accused me of making fraud by making different statements. I was told if seller informs eBay, then only they can give refund, and seller is asking me to send the damaged item back. I am more than glad to send it back, but Why should I be paying for return shipping? when its not my fault? Is the consumer court only option available for me? As customer care rep made clear than eBay is not going to refund or help?? Has anyone else encountered similar issue??

            had ordered two items from ebay which were supposed to delivered to me through Fedex courier services.The order was prepaid and the product was shipped with following details. Ebay ID:[protected],[protected] Courier Name :FEDEX Date of Shipping :27-Nov-2013 AWB Number :[protected] Paisa pay claim No: 351036, 351025 But It was never delivered to me so I contacted customer care in Fedex and I was informed on customer care of Fedex that this product was returned to Ebay in Channai. It could not be delivered to the customer (me) in Delhi as it contained liquid and liquid can not be delivered through Fedex. But on their website it was wrongly updated as delivered in Delhi. Anyway after seven days i raised claim in ebay as it was so called protected with ebay Guarante. But soon i realised that ebay guarante is nothing but fraud as they did nothing convincing till now. Despite of making call to them several times and explaining my problem for hours to different representatives there is nothing done in this regard to resolve the claim. They keep saying that they are still waiting for response from their courier partner (Fedex). Fedex is their shipping partner and customer has nothing to do with it then why should I suffer because of irresponsible service of their courier partner. Besides, the attitude of the customer care in Ebay is like as if they are doing mercy on us by talking to the customer. They never contact you instead customer has to contact them again n again and spend hours to explain the problem. Each time some different representative would pick the call pretend to be naive to the problem. This is really a pathetic experience dealing with ebay guarantee as it is totally bogus and useless. I suggest all buyers either to avoid doing shopping from such sites or at least don't go for prepaid option. It will be better if one choose cash on delivery option as at-least one does not have to fight to get your own money back in case of any problem. I am still waiting for refund but I am left with no other option than to turn to consumer court in future if not resolved very soon. Warm regards

              I have ordered an Raspberry PI on ebay.in still not yet received I have contacted ebay guarantee service with service request no 355432 and was told to wait for 48 hours on 10th Dec and no response has been received and today when I spoke to ebay guarantee again the customer service is asking another 48 hours where I lost trust on the service. It has been around 24 days I ordered item in ebay. All the email communication has is with me. I also tried to contact be seller but he is not attending the call and responding to the email. When I saw the transit number the bluedart is showing the item is in transit since 3rd of December and still not yet delivered. I request you to please take necessary action. The email communication and other documentation will be provided based on request.

                I ordered some unstiched cotton shirts from Bhillwra textiles who cheated me by sending non cotton unstiched shirts of highly substandard nature.The item were not as described, But you ebay mockery of paisa pay guarantee by colluding with unscrupulous seller. Ebay is encouraging the sellers to cheat the public by putting up substandard items and sending them items not as described. seller Ref-Paisa Pay Id [protected]-Claim Ids 348057, 348051, 348050 and 348048.I am extremely unsatisfied and unhappy that ebay made mockery of ebay guarantee.I ordered unstiched cotton shirt fabric from the seller But he sent me non cotton fabric of highly substandard quality.quality.                   dear sir, since i have not received the item against paisa pay id [protected] and the seller unable to dispatch the item and offered me refund of the above item/paisa pay id [protected] copy of email received regarding this is attached herewith.Therefore i request you to refund me my paid amount as early as possible to avoid legal action against ebay.                     prashant. paisapay id is [protected] i bought a handset n was assured the delivery by 16 dec ..the item has not been shipped yet and the seller has also been removed.everytime i call ebay they say contact seller but seller never takes the call..i asked them to refumd my 20k that i paid but i guess ebay is into cheating people with their money..till today i havent got the shipping details or the refund.

                    they also gave me a bluedart pod saome days back saying that item has been shipped but it showed in valid and now they say it has not been shipped.

                      I bought a 32 GB SanDisk micro SD from Ebay for Rs. 1301. I put it into my Lenovo P 780 but it is showing "External storage is damaged". It was not working properly.

                      I lodged a complaint at Ebay India Customer Care. They have closed the case saying that the product is under manufacturer warranty.

                      Than I logged a call at SanDisk Customer care. They asked me the details about the product including serial number, image of the product etc and they replied on mail that the product is not genuine San Disk product.

                      I again went to ebay. They told me to send the Sandisk mail to us which I have done and written a mail to ebay but they have not replied on this since three days.

                      Now the problem is my phone is also getting hanged and switched off automatically since when I am using this card that I noticed today only.

                      I bought the phone at Rs. 18000 which is also not working properly due to this duplicate card.

                      So I am feeling apart from the trust that I had on online shopping I am losing[protected]+1301).

                      Request you to please help.

                        i ordered lg tv on e bay site on 05 dec 2013 they didn't sent the tv to me and i lost opportunity on my credit card to avail discount of rs 1300 and also wasted my precious time finally they are telling that they will refund the money but they have not done even that e bay is pathetic, useless and very poor customer support, snapdeal flipcart are much better

                          I placed the order for ipad on 2nd of this month, thinking that it will be delivered on that weekend, as it mentioned estimated delivery date as 7th, then seller says that he will only get stocks on friday and it will be shipped on saturday, I was ok with that. Then the seller sent a message saying he will be shipping on monday, I waited. He sent a mail, he couldn't ship on monday n he will ship on tuesday, I waited. The status used to say if it wont be shipped by 10th the refund will initiate on the next day, now it says "Your order was to be delivered to you by 20-Dec-13. We are verifying with the seller and our shipping partner and will inform you soon on the status of your order" since 3 days My time is being wasted since weeks, since I had call ebay n seller on a daily basis. When I ask for refund ebay says that seller has to do, seller says he cant and he has already shipped, he even gave me tracking number Carrier Name: ARAMEX Tracking Number: [protected] it says invalid number since 3 days, If I had not ordered from ebay and waited, I would be having ipad by now as its available in retail stores for 35900 and seller charged 36900 n I was ok with it, thinking I will get it by last saturday.                           Hi, I Prakriti Soni, have ordered LG Google Nexus 5 by paying online using a debit Card for Rs. 21, 231 on 11th Oct'14. Infact sim is not detected many times and phone gets restarted. I claimed for this next day and called many times to seller and requested to return my money back or replace my device i am not satisfied for this item. seller suggested me to go to authorised service center of micromax(mmx) i get time and went there where mmx care person totally denied to provide DOA that is essential to refund money according to ebay customer support, where as he accepts the problem in handset . i talked to ebay customer support and seller regarding this but seller suggest me to make repair from the mmx care and seller completely denied to replace my damaged handset . even ebay customer support has closed my claim by saying "not eligible case." i claimed on 3 Nov and got first response mail on 11th day due to this late processing mmx care denied to give DOA as 7 days have passed. so what options i have?? i got damaged or misbehaving handset, is it not come under return policy ??? Very much disappointed with this kind of support from ebay. my device is misbehaving from very first day clearly saying not satisfied with this dameged product kindly replace my handset or give my money back . i wasted my time and money for going mmx care two times but still not geting any resolution. I have ordered first time and very frustated from the service of ebay, this made me to check for other online options. after this kind of service i would never recommend to anyone for buying products from here. no one takes the responsibility of customer's satisfaction. even seller suggesting me to repair my handset from mmx care wheras i received in damaged condition. even i went mmx center at last they changed software of my phone and now telling its hardware issue and cant give DOA because replacement week have passed. this delay because of late reaction from ebay and micromax . firstly mmx care was saying that its software issue when its not be resolved from software so they saying its hardware issue even they dont know even what the problem actually is in handset or they just passing time well i left my handset in mms service center to repair.. but i want new handset from mmx now beacause i got the handset in same condition from very first day.

                              I had purchased a sony digital camera (ID[protected] from e-bay on 25th Oct'13.The due delivery date was 5th Nov'13.I didn't receive the item till date.The seller informed me that the consignment was shipped via e bays own logistic company DOTZOT .I waited till 24th of November for the item to be delivered and on 25th of November, I contacted ebay over phone for a refund.They assured me that my refund claim has been lodged and it will take 72 hours for the refund to get processed .They also assured me that I will get a confirmation via sms and email within 72 hours.But I didn't receive any sort of communication from them.Then I again contacted ebay on 5th of December and I was told the same story and was assured of a refund.Again I was told that I will get a confirmation within 72 hours .This time also, I didn't receive any sort of confirmation from them about my refund.Again, I contacted ebay on 10th of December and I was told that I will receive a confirmation about the processing of refund within 24 hours but nothing happened.My money is stuck up for more then 45 days and I don't know what to do.Ebay is only making false commitments and I think they have no intention of refunding my money.

                                I paid Rs.15, 549/- for an ASUS FonePad to an Ebay India seller, Chetan Gupta @ "Onebazaar" (PaisaPay ID: [protected]) on 9th September, 2013. This phone model was released into the Indian market sometime during April-May, 2013 by ASUS Technologies, Taiwan, and was advertised as having a one year manufacturer warranty. The seller advertised the product on Ebay India as having one year manufacturer warranty and with a free shipping offer. The phone was shipped to me by First Flight Couriers (Airway Bill No. E[protected] on 11th September, 2013, and I received the shipment on 13th September, 2013. The phone went dead in the second week of November, 2013. I contacted ASUS Technologies through their website, and was asked to approach the nearest authorized service centre. Following this, I approached M/s. Digicomp Solutions, the authorized service centre of ASUS in Hyderabad. They found out that the unit had a manufacturing defect, declared the unit as unserviceable, retained the unit with them, and issued a DOA certificate, asking me to approach M/s. Compuage, Hyderabad who was the nearest ASUS distributor, for a replacement / refund. I did so. M/s. Compuage issued me an RMA CN certificate, and asked me to claim the replacement / refund from Onebazaar. I was informed that the DOA policy of ASUS is to reimburse the actual seller for the replacement / refund, and I cannot get a replacement / refund for items bought from non-local sellers through Ebay India, from the distributors in Hyderabad. I emailed a few times to Ebay India as well as the seller regarding the problem. There is no response whatsoever either from Ebay India or from the seller. Worse, their customer-care recorded a false customer support call, and even asked me to provide feedback on their customer support through an email. It is clear that Ebay India washes off its hands once they get their commission out of a sale. The sellers on Ebay India are faceless, and they don't respond to the grievances of the customers. Ebay India does not even store the data of the products sold, or that of the sellers, beyond a 90 days period from the sale. Companies are not ready to honour the warranties for the products sold on Ebay India. Yet Ebay India claims warranties while listing the products. It is astonishing that I purchased a high value product from a reputed company such as ASUS which then went bad within two months, and despite the proof that the product had a manufacturing defect (please google for "ASUS Fonepad battery problem" on the internet, and you will get hundreds of hits), I don't seem to be getting redressal from any corner. I wish to make Ebay India accountable for whatever has happened.

This phone model was released into the Indian market sometime during April-May, 2013 by ASUS Technologies, Taiwan. The seller advertised the product on eBay India as having one year manufacturer’s warranty with a free shipping offer. The phone was shipped to me by First Flight Couriers(Airway Bill No. E[protected] on 11th September, 2013, and I received the shipment on 13th September, 2013. The FonePad’s Serial No. is D5OKBC085115.

                                During the second week of November, 2013, the FonePad started charging less and less. Two days later, it would not charge at all, and instead display on screen a green coloured battery icon with a question mark. Puzzled, I googled about this and came across a flood of complaints from consumers all over the world about the FonePad’s “green battery icon with a question mark” problem. Grapewine on the internet was that the model had an inherent incompatibility between its motherboard and the battery, and hence the issue. This being the case, the least ASUS could have done is to order a recall of the model. But they did not do so.

                                I contacted ASUS Technologies(ASUS Case ID= RWTM[protected]-077), and was asked to approach their nearest authorized service centre. I therefore approached M/s. Digicomp Solutions, the authorized service centre of ASUS in Hyderabad. They found out that the unit had a manufacturing defect, declared the unit as unserviceable, retained the unit with them, and issued a DOA certificate(DHDDKDBR5091) asking me to approach M/s. Compuage, Hyderabad(distributor of ASUS) for a replacement / refund. When I approached the latter, M/s. Compuage issued me an RMA CN certificate(INUK3B0082), and asked me to claim the replacement / refund from Onebazaar. I was informed that the DOA policy of ASUS is to reimburse the actual seller for the replacement / refund, and I cannot get a replacement / refund for the items bought from non-local sellers on eBay India from the distributors in Hyderabad.

                                Taken aback, I contacted ASUS India’s hot-line at [protected] to explore the possibility of obtaining a relief locally. Their response was that I should approach eBay India alone.

                                I emailed a few times to eBay India and Onebazaar regarding the problem. My emails were met with silence. Worse, eBay India’s customer-care recorded a false customer support call on 09/12/2013, and even asked me to provide feedback on their customer support through an email(that’s how I came to know of the fake “customer support call”). I guess they closed my complaint after recording the fake customer support call.

                                It is clear that eBay India washes off its hands once they get their commission out of a sale. The sellers on eBay India prefer to remain faceless, and are least inclined to address the grievances of the customers once the sale is complete. Unless the seller continues to sell on eBay, it is not even possible to get the details of the seller beyond a 90 day period from the sale. Companies on their part, are not ready to honour the warranties for the products sold on eBay India. Yet eBay India claims warranties while listing the products.

                                It is astonishing that I purchased a high value product from a reputed company such as ASUS which went bad within two months of the purchase, and despite the proof that the product had a manufacturing defect, I don’t seem to be getting redressal from any corner.

                                This morning, Shri. Chetan Gupta @ Onebazaar was kind enough to receive my call on his cell phone. I was told by him that my problem has now became an, “inter-state” problem, and that since the defective unit was taken by ASUS service centre at Hyderabad, and since RMA CN Certificate was issued by M/s. Compuage, Hyderabad, it is for them to deal with the problem. He added that some companies like Nikon India had announced that they would not honour warranties for their products sold on eBay India.

                                Be as it may, Peter Chang, Regional Head, ASUS India, continues to release new FonePad models into the Indian market. eBay India continues to list phones & tablets, boasting manufacturer’s warranty. Mr. Chetan gupta @ Onebazaar continues to thrive and sell on eBay India. M/s. Digicomp Solutions continues to issue DOA certificates to defective units. M/s. Compuage, Hyderabad continues to represent ASUS in Hyderabad, and issues RMA CN certificates. But all the king’s men cannot put Humpty-Dumpty together again. All of them only make Aam Aadmi like me go around in circles for a redressal.

                                These days a number of high value goods are listed and sold on eBay India. As long as there is no issue with any given product, everything goes fine. But God forbid, if there is an issue, you may not get any redressal even after running from pillar to post. I learnt my lesson after loosing Rs.15, 549/-, and after plenty of running around. I hope and wish that others take better decisions based on my experience. Best wishes.

                                  Hi! I purchased a cell phone "HTC Trophy (Verizon Page Plus-CDMA) from ebay by a seller name i2cworld_inc3. My paisa pay ID is [protected] and Item ID is[protected]. The product is not compatible with Indian mobile networks. In the product listing it is nowhere mention that the product can be used in US networks only and not with Indian Networks. I approached i2c World and requested them to unlock it for me, but they said they can’t resolve the issue and told me to contact to ebay customer service. I contacted ebay and they also told me to contact seller for resolution of my issue. I raises a claim (Claim ID : 340629) against the product but neither seller nor ebay take responsibility about the product. Today I got a call saying that they have close my claim as in product listing it is mention that the product will be used with Verizon page plus carrier. My only question is “how can you allow the seller to sell that cell phone to Indian customers when you know it will not work here?” Here, the seller is selling item which we cannot use in India, still Ebay allowing him (i2c World) to sell it on their website (to Indian customers) which will make other customers to buy it and then suffer like me get a sale and once he receives your money he never responses to your emails or helps you in any way. On top of it, ebay too helps those kind of people and reject our plea for refund when they should not be allowed to sell items which does not work in India/cannot be used in India. This is absolute cheating and fraud done with many customers who are shopping on this site. eBay mention on their home page that they will protect the customers and will refund/replace if the product is not delivered or not as it was mentioned. I am very much upset for being cheated by these type of big online shopping store.

                                      Paisa pay id:[protected] Seller name: happyseller55 I received a bad quality and wrong product.Description says that it is a embroided kurti but it was a patch work.the seller was rude and not ready to refund.ebay is not helping me out. they have a long procedure and a pathetic customer service which is fooling out people. EBay should be closed out. I have send 1000s of mails and called there customer care number of time, nobody help me. I want my money back and the compensation for the inconvenience

                                        I had purchased a cross trainer from eBay India for my parents and paid full amount with shipping charge when Item was delivered seller again charged shipping charges and the item was delivered with missing spare parts, I contacted eBay india customer service who asked me to contact seller for shipping charge as well for missing spare parts, Seller said he will return shipping charge and provide missing parts, and took bank details for refund first seller said he couriered spare parts and it got returned for some of their technical problem and told he will send it again, then after a week when again contacted he told spare is out of inventory and still having problem in refunding shipping charges as he did not received payment and asked me to contact eBay and fullfill payment their When I contacted eBay customer service they asked me to tell seller to contact them, which I told Then seller asked for providing photo of missing spare part to arrange it, which we provided and ask him to return extra shipping charge and spare part or we will go for refund then he refunded shipping charge into my account and told he had courier the missing part again... which we never received, we again ask him detail of courier so we can track, from then seller stopped responding and had not provided missing spare part till date, in all this seller had taken more than 45 days, when I contacted eBay they asked first asked file for refund and then told me it can't be done after 30 days and were asking me to cotact seller who is not responding I had asked eBay to talk to seller as I had bought this from eBay, I had many chats message and they never seems to bother, now whenever I chat with them they disconnect my chat rather taking my concern seriously where seller had cheated and eBay india is not taking any responsibility for it. It was eBay who asked me to contact seller and we trusted seller initially but look like he was just buying time to pass 30 days of guartanee period, once that gone he stopped responding and eBay whom I had always contacted within 30 days and after least seems to be concern to address my grievences Please advice
