I moved out of bangalore last year april 2018, i called the customer care several time and even sent emails to them to cancel connection, nobody responded or arranged to pick up modem
Also i got calls almost thrice a week for activation of connection to whom i told that i moved out of town and want to cancel connection. Today i received an email notice to surrender notice for submitting the modem which i disposed last year april 2018

    I register for hathway broadband, neither got connection yet nor money.

    Vinod reddy ([protected])- one of hathway employee came to my home for registration charge, i paid it (2122 for 2 month plan) next day hathway technician came they are telling that connection isnt available at this location you'll have to cancel it. I called vinod for cancellation, he told you will get money back in two days i neither got money yet nor any notification from hathway regarding cancellation.

    This guy is not even picking my phone.

    Our cable operator in Shanti Nagar, Wagle estate, Thane West charging to everyone for every month extra 50rs. For updating channels. Is this your charges for updating?

      I have been writing mails to the nodal office - karnataka and digital cable tv head updating them on the issues i am facing viz., firstly i am not able to select and activate the broadcasters bouquets online as prescribed by trai on their official website. I also met the nodal officer in person and explained him about the above but, he was helpless and directed me to digital cable tv head who sits in mumbai office to whom i have written around 20 mails.
      Secondly, i had activated online a month ago few packs alongside the fta channels after remitting the requisite fee and pack charges but, these channels so activated are giving an error message "technical problem". The money i had paid them has been of no use since the channels aren't being tele-casted due to technical issues. I strongly condemn this and demand suitable action be taken against hathway.
      I would wish to challenge this legally for the amount of mental trauma i have undergone in the due course.
      Request the concerned to initiate stringent action against hathway and accordingly assist me in getting the justice reinstated.

      Its been 3 weeks and closing towards a month but, no response to the complaint raised.
      Can you please escalate the issue and proceed to take suitable action against Hathway.
      Please call your cable#[protected]@y office to subscribe to this channel showing the tv this is problem please solve this problem why don't response this is not correct way my settop box card no[protected]
      These people are not going to respond and that's the very reason I have wished to bring to your kind attention. Kindly escalate the issue and provide me further assistance on whom to approach.
      They have just collected my mobile number but, no response till date.

        Hi team,
        After the new rules by trai, i have selected my channels in hathway cable and contacted my local operator for subscription. He told that he will not do manual selection and asked me to take his predefined pack and pay 350. The actual price for the channels i chosen was 287. He is demanding for 50rs service charge. Can i pay my amount online and continue my services?? How to proceed with this situation?

        I have called to the customer care numbers for hyderabad mentioned in hathway website. They never picked my calls. Do they exists?? Does hathway has any customer care? Do hathway care about their customers??

          Dear Team Hathway,
          I am sorry to chose incorrect category previously as Bank, hence choosing the correct one and raising the complaint against Hathway Cable.
          I have booked your connection keeping a faith in your company. But I am really disappointed with the type of cable service and most importantly Cable Operator in our locality in Chunabhatti. Our cable operator Mr. pravin, I even don't know his full name, is so unprofessional & pathetic person, that he's even not giving us any monthly receipt for the Cable charges he collect.
          Further, while applying for the connection, he has not provided us any Bill or Subscriber id for the set top box. I am now fedup of his behaviour and asked him to refund me the amount, he does not seem bother about the same. Moreover he has provided us Mutilated card along with the box. Despite of several requests, he has not changed the same. These kind of people are spoiling your name and service in the market and forcing the consumers to switch to other Dth operators. Kindly look into this matter seriously and reply.

            I was using this hathway in bangalore, in dec month beginning i told them that i won't be in the country after december so please come and collect, but they never showed up. Now after 3 months, they sent a mail telling "legal action will be taken if i don't return the modem" i called my landlord regarding she said some hathway guy came and took that modem thing"

            First, i had given 30 days time to come and collect. Why you guys didn't show up? Check call records for the same.

            Second, do you expect me to stay in bangalore till you guys come and collect?

              Hi.
              Post the recent trai regulations, i am unable to select a package for my tv. The cable operator does not seem to be bothered either.

              I downloaded the hathway app and entered the mac id or vc no but it says my details are not registered!

              I called up the local hathway person to disconnect my connection but to no avail. I am unable to connect to any representative via the the published contact numbers.

              There seems to be no way to get someone to address my concerns. Hence registering the complaint here. Please help.

                Hi,

                Hathaway brodband account no. [protected]. Ayappa Nagar, KR puram Bangalore.
                On 06-Apr-2019 Saturday there was blast happened to Hathaway modem through LAN cable socket at my laptop. That time I have seen fire at my laptop LAN cable socket point.
                After that I am not able to start my laptop. Same day I called to customer care. Two people came and they said there was issue at other end that they were looking and they did not come back with any update. I can see burnt mark on modem socket as well my laptop socket.

                Please suggest what further action I can initiate to set right. I need only tow things 1. Modem should work and 2. Laptop should work

                Since your laptop electronics parts are burnt, so contact laptop service center and get replaced parts from there.

                For hathway modem, you need to buy new modem or. get replaced from hathway.

                Power fluctuations is caused the burnt, use only supplied cable from Hathway and laptop manufacturer

                  I am pradip kr de, hathway consumer no. Pp 97.
                  During implemention of trai mandate, hathway supposed to provide us all free channels, they r not giving all.
                  Rate chart should be provided, they r using hand written on plain white paper for subscribing as well as renewal.
                  Toll free number unable to answer my desired enquiry.
                  Whole system is fussy n verbal manipulation n adjustment.
                  They r establish themself as unreliable.
                  Before trai mandate, it was easy n less time consuming, now it is becoming horrible.
                  System can't be complicated, hathway is making complicated.
                  Rent is higher, service is poor.
                  I want either they give us according to other service providers or introduce other cable operator.

                    I am, pradip kr de, consume no. Pp - 97 of hathway cable. Purchased sony gold, utv, movies ok, geo net wild on 13/03/2019
                    But suddenly they stopped viewing those channels.
                    Advised me to contact local cable operator, whenever contacted haripal cable, they made an contact with hathway.
                    I got the reply that they cannot do anything but resubscribe.
                    I don't know why hathway indulge such malign practice. I want them to stop it n compensate adequately.

                      Hi,
                      My name is vijay kumar and my account number with hathway broadband is [protected]. I live in domlur, bangalore. I am writing this complaint because i am totally upset with the unprofessional service provided by hathway. My internet connection gets disconnected every day and when i call the customer service they always say that it's a technical problem and we are raising a complaint. This is going on for more than a month and almost all the time i remain without a connection. But their billing is very organized and cut the connection without even taking to consideration the number of days that i had no internet. Even one day delay in payment they don't wait but when it comes to service which they promise to provide it's just not done. This is the worst connection i had ever taken. I had a proper and stable bsnl connection and i decided to move to hathway due to the extreme promises given by them at the time of taking the connection. Services were perfect just for the first 3 months and after that it is the same story everyday. Couple of days before i called the customer service again and i had to talk very harsh and then i received an sms stating that they are giving me certain gb free of cost to be used within this month, but what is the use of giving me some extra usage when the internet doesn't work at all. After giving several calls some guy will just show up and he will just remove and reconnect the lan and it will work for few minutes after he leaves and then again back to normal. If there is a problem with the hardware then why don't they replace it. Even if there is a cable issue in the main roads they don't do proper rectification all i can see is some patches or plastering which i'm not very sure us the actual remedy. The guys who comes to attend doesn't even listen they just reconnect the lan cable and go back. This is very unprofessional and i'm quite surprised with the service provided. I am definitely going to switch back to other connection. I am sick of raising a request all the time and it seems like every time i need an internet connection i have to give a call to the customer service which is ridiculous. Guys if there is someone who is going to take a broadband connection i will request you to please don't do that. Go for some other connection but not them as they don't meet their promises and with the worst service they claim that they provide the best service.

                        Hi team,
                        I have paid amount 2122/- to hathway for getting new broadband connection in the month of january. I was told by hathway that connection will be given within 24hours. Even after 2 months i haven't got the connection. I have raised multiple complaints with hathway asking for refund of amount but no is caring about the issue. Please help me in getting the refund.

                          I was facing some problems relating to channels blocked and also the over chargeved taken by the provider therefore called the provider but receieved very rude and abusive words from the provider never expected such a rude behaviour from them i am their custommer they always be rude with you whenever you make a enquiry relating to any issues. The way their representatives talk it seems they have no responsilibility towards their custommer they have been very unproffessional in providing their service on the top of it they will threaten you.                             Hi,

                            During the dth service regulation change, i had opted to a different package and had initial issues with the billing service as my last bill was not getting reflected. I followed with customer service for 3 weeks and had escalated but no luck.

                            I finally submitted request for disconnection which first support agent acknowledged but later came to know that was never taken and my request number was closed on no action. Submitted a second request which followed the same hathway process of no follow up by hathway team and closure.

                            I gave a final call (Thinking final call) to check on this and agent named: chaitra confirmed i had no due and the disconnection request has been taken and and agent will come to my home to take the setup box. I followed on this for a week and later had to make another call to check on this and got supervisor on call who said i have a rental due for ncf channel. I have requested for disconnection on march 3rd before my last billing cycle and had opened up 4 cases with hathway for this and this crossed 1 more month and they charging my the current month rental again..

                            Very pathetic hathway service and had sent emails to corporate head and zonal officers but no luck.

                              Hathway unnecessary charging extraorbitant amount for cable, and after this channel wise charge, every other day there is no connection. All free to air channel does not come. But they keep on charging rentals without service. The Unicable service providers do not pickup phone. They expect 80yrs plus sick people to run to their office to register complaint, else stay without service and pay rentals. Is this any way to loot money? No law nothing?
                              Expect compensation and resolution.

                                I have a hathway connection for my cable tv. There has been a issue that cable gets disconnected mostly on weekends and when i complain about it the staff is very rude. They only have one operator to answer calls and they never answer. They are also charging rs 50 extra which i don't think is in accordance with trai rules. Appreciate your assistanc

                                  Last month i had did recharge of 340 rs by selecting the channel which i wanted to see. But after a subscription is over i reached to cable service provider, he said now manual recharge is not allowed i would have to do recharge of 400 rs if i want the service.
                                  He is forcing me to do so.
                                  But by the telecom rule it is totally wrong to force anyone.

                                    My hathway broadband account number is [protected]. Fretom last 3 months hathway internet services are very poor and most of the time internet is offline and speed is very that browser itself does not open. I have multiple request to them to solve these issues but they simply closed th request raised with no response. So i have asked the company to close this account 5 days ago. But daily i get nonsense call to renew my account by a month or 3 months. I want hathway to come and collect the modem device, but instead irritatingly these guys keep calling repeatedly asking to renew the account.

                                    When i ask them what happened to my disconnect request, each such person says i will raise a complaint but i think there is no concept of closing account in hathway.

                                    Kindly arrange to stop these renewal calls as i am now totally frustrated with hathway and will never even suggest hathway broadband to any other person.

                                      Frequently i have issue with my hathway cable operator.
                                      Last 2 days my tv cable connection was not working. When i called concerned cable operator padmini keval satellite, bangalore, he said it will be rectified in 1 hour.
                                      Then i tried to book complaint in hathway website, complaint registration its self is not working.
                                      Then i called customer care.

                                      When i book the complaint in customer support, its almost 2 days, no one called me and i have been deprived of watching tv for last 2 days.

                                      Also cable operators take more money than what we really select in the website.

                                      Now after i discussion with my friends, i decided to go for dth connection.
                                      Hathway service is worst and they don't have control over their cable operators.

                                      So i suggest if some one have issue with hathway tv cable, then go for dth connection.

                                      I am now decided to approach trai authority, to complaint about the violation of recent guide lines issues on this behalf and file case in consumer forum seeking compensation against the hathway for deficiency of service.

                                        My (Hathway broadband) wifi hasn't been working since[protected], 5.30pm. When we contacted the customer service team they assured that the problem will be resolved by[protected], 10 am. When it wasn't resolved we yet again called them and they ensured that the issue will be resolved by 2 pm and yet again nothing was done about it. When we called again they said the issue will be resolved by 7 pm and nothing has been done still. When we called them again they said it will be resolved by 10 am,[protected].
                                        If you'll cannot handle a technical glitch within a short stipulated time why do you'll even have a customer cell which is clearly of no use? The reason we opt for wifi is so that we can use it but since the time we have chosen hathway half the time goes in dealing with these glitches. If you'll don't know how to resolve tiny technical glitches please give us our refund we shall opt another medium for wifi.

                                        LAN wire has not been provided and when asked they don't give a proper reply regarding the same

                                        extremely disappointed and would not suggest Hathway to anybody.
