Hi,

My debit card was expiring in March 2017 and I had been chasing the branch rep to request for my renewed debit card for the last two months. She kept telling me that my debit card will work even after the expiry date, despite my repeated insistence on being issued a renewed card. As expected, my card returned the message 'card not valid' when I used it at the HDFC ATM today on 1st April. I spoke to the same branch rep (Ms. Abha Kothari) to inform her about the card being rejected and she asked me to speak to a phone banking customer care rep to follow-up.

I made the phone banking call today at 6:45 pm and spoke to some Mr. Prince who was absoluely unaware of the bank policies and was totally incompetent in handling customer requests. He started by telling me that since I am a preferred HDFC customer, I will be issued a Platinum card and will receive it within 3-4 working days. Then he put my call on hold to check with his senior as he was not sure of the process. Later he confirmed that it will take 4-5 working days to receive the card. Again he put me on hold and a third time reverted that it will take a week, so I should collect the card over the counter from the branch instead of waiting for the card to be couriered to me.

I had lost my patience by then and had no confidence in this person being able to provide me the correct information. I asked to be transferred to the concerned manager to explain my case, upon which he put my call on an indefinite hold. He never came back to speak to me or to transfer my call, despite me waiting on hold for 10-15 minutes.

This is absolutely ridiculous behaviour. And your customer care staff just dont seem to bother. They are rude and incompetent. I have been an HDFC customer for over a decade but now with this experience and similar such experiences in the past, I wish to close my bank account and discontinue banking with HDFC.

I am hoping to receive a revert on the above complaint asap and hoping to see the concerned executives taken to task and corrective action issued against them.

    I was an employee in HDFC BANK and do have salary account products code 102 but I quiet my job in september 2015 and bank did not clear my all due as salary they assure मे that your salary will be credit and today I got my salary credit to my account but it's showing negative balance. I want to withdraw my due salary as well as to close the salary account.

      I had to open Nps account, I tried calling hdfc security people mumbai 15 times while filling the form but no one pick up the phone.Again I tried on different day still same thing happened.I couriour my form then I got the rejection mail.Again I tried to call them but still same thing is happening.still that process is in continuous state and I don't know when my nps account get open.suggesion:i[censored] don't think you are capable to provide service then please shut down.
      HDFC Securities customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.
      Their website has an option where one can enter the his/her details and they immediately get in touch on request received. I opened my account doing this and din't face any trouble.

        Hi,

        My A/c No. is [protected] Was open by my company on 2012, i left the organization on 2013 Sept. after that no transactions happen in this account.
        Now on 2017 ask any hdfc a/c, So i check from HDFC it's open or closed yet. it's still open, i got the salary and seeing approx 13000 Rs. has been deducted from my account like AMB CHRG INCL ST & CESS and INST-ALERT CHG INC ST & EC.

        Pl make it solve on priority.

          Today company credited 3000rs amount in my hdfc food prepaid card, after that they debited 410rs and told kuwait plaza mudhir nilayan claimed 403 rs on 15th march 2:20pm. Actually my balance is 1 rs as per march 10th 2017, how come they gave 403 rs to customer without i purchased from my card, even i didnt get message and email.
          Please help me to get the 410 rs amount

            Hi Team,
            I have been using HDFC Account Since 2010 and Card is using since 2013 but never face the problem but since last 6 Month i am facing lots of Problem Aditional Charges Amount Deduction Without any information.

            Last Few Month lots of amount has been debited without information but never complained. Last Month 10 K Debited but i did not complain but this month 57K has been debited without any information and when i called to customer care they asked me to call on Collection team as we can not do any thing. I dont why Customer service is there if they can not help..

            When i Called[protected], 02 they just disconnecting the call.

            So if customer can not Connect with HDFC. Please suggest what should i do..

              There was an offer on Iphone 7, i[censored] buy Iphone 7 through HDFC credit card then you will get 6000 cashback. I have contacted HDFC PhoneBanker/CustomerCare Exeecutive multiple times to enquire about this offer and they told me that offer is applicable on Iphone 7. After taking confirmation from Phone Banker, I have purchased Iphone 7 through HDFC credit card because my credit limit is 50k and iphone 7 price was 53k, Exceeded amount of 3k above my credit I have paid through another payment mode after taking confirmation from ur executive and they told me still u will be eligible for cashback. All these queries, I have already explained to the Phone Banker and HDFC abnk executive and they told me the offer is still applicable, u can do payment of exceeded payment via another payment mode. Now, I have purchased the phone and they are saying we won't give you confirmation that you will receive cashback. I have already done the payment and my credit card limit is exhausted because of buying Iphone 7 and still after taking confirmation from ur phone banker HDFC people are saying u are not eligible for cashback. Because of Fraudulent Information Provided from your side. I am 6000 bucks down.

                Sir I had taken a health policy no[protected] in the month on 23/02/2016 . Then problem started in my body in the month of September/October 2016 like gripping of hands, climbing of stairs from March/April 2016.Then I went to AIIMS New Delhi in the month of November 2016. There doctors asked me about my past history while discussion then I told them there was hardness in my finger tips and all.but It was my feeling only which I was discussed I did not know that I am suffering from so and so disease. Then at AIIMS my tests were conducted and then finally they diagnosed it is CIDP after that my oral treatment was started but I did not get any relief so In emergency I admitted at AIIMS and IVIG was injected. The cost of which is Rs. 150000/-. and some test was also done.Finally I applied for reimbursement . After seeing discharge summary company rejected the claim because doctors written paraesthesia on the basis of discussion but there is no proof because company did not ask any medical test report before giving policy and I was also not aware this hardness of finger due to this disease and that hardness is only in winter season. and this IVIG was given due to CIDP which is diagnosed not due to paraesthesia. So I request you to take into consideration as patient is mentally stressed due to this.
                As after taking even medical insurance no use.

                    I have applied for a credit card approx 2 month ago both from branch as well as online, my one application reject due to another one is in process however second disapproved due to income document, I have submitted the document in noida hdfc branch on 10th march on 17th march i received the message from hdfc that they are in reprocess of my application however till it is showing disapproved ..

                      I suppose to get a cash back offer for the oct 2016 sale. I have read through the terms and conditions that was posted on amazon site and then used my corporate credit card as there is no mention about corporate card. I suppose to get my cash back by jan 05 2017 but i did not get and when i approach them they said the offer is not eligible for corporate cards. I send them the terms and conditions posted at amazon during offer period asking them to point out where it was mentioned. But they took all these days do simply copy paste the recorded message instead of replying to my query. From day one i am asking this for which i did not get a reply till now. This is really frustrating. I copied the nodel officers but i feel they are sleeping. There is no value of ccing them in the mail. They dont even respond to me. Also i am not sure whether they are checking their mails. I have all the mail threads and attachments. If any one from the back is really interested to solve this, please get in touch with me so that i can send all the details to you.

                      Please note i did not get any response from HDFC. You just forwarded this to HDFC. The status is still open. Its not resolved. Kindly update the status accordingly still i get resolution from HDFC. I have already attached all the proofs and their terms and conditions as well.

                        I hold the HDFC Home loan with floating rate of interest for last two years. My rate of interest is not reduced. When I enquired about the same, they responded saying I have to pay to get the interest rate reduced.

                        Why should we pay to get the interest rate reduced. This won't be the case if the rates are raising.

                        This is not how I expect it to be in case of floating option.

                              Hello Team,

                              I am not using HDFC bank service since 2013 as i joined some other company in 2013 and that company have differenet bank account. So there is no salary credited to HDFC bank account and it is non operative since 2013.

                              I have also not made any transaction from HDFC account from last 3.5 years

                              Still i am getting message of negative balance, i dont want to use HDFC bank services anymore.Please close this account ASAP.

                              Please waive off this negative balance and close it as i dont need it anymore.I am not able to visit branch that's why mentioning here my problem.

                              As per RBI bank cannot charge you negative balance for so long.

                              I have been continuously trying to reach your customer care executive on phone but every time my call gets cut after i provide customer id and phone number.

                              I have also discussed with your executives 3 years back to close my account but it is still open.And every time negative balance get deducted from my account.

                              My last company opened this account and now i have other bank account as per new company.

                              From last 2.5 years i am not using this account.It is strongly recommended to close this or tell me the process to follow for closure of account.

                              As per RBI Rule bank cannot apply you non maintenance penalty still hdfc deducting amount which is not acceptable anymore,

An amount of Rs22000/- has been put on hold without my consent.Upon asking I have been told that this is because of a credit card I hold, however I do not have a credit card.Please release this amount immediately or else I am filing a case in consumer forum for harassment of Rs 1000000.

                                I hold an account with HDFC, Branch Begumpet, Hyderabad. I was offered credit card. This was in the second quarter of 2015. As I had recently relocated to Hyderabad I was busy with my work and didn't use my credit card for long, due to this my CC was blocked. Meanwhile i got a call from HDFC ERGO saying I am entitled for a HDFC ERGO insurance for which the premium will be 6200/ per year. My Policy no: is 52101531/00001. I agreed and the deduction happened. Now i wanted to activate my Credit card hence I made my credit card payment. Still the CC didn't get activated. Since then i have been calling CC department and HDFC ERGO on their customer care number which is a big challenge to get connected, but both of them have been blaming one another. I call HDFC CC department they would ask me to contact HDFC ERGO, and when I call HDFC ERGO department they would ask me to get in touch with HDFC CC department. Finally, I had cancelled my insurance as my CC was not active. I was promised by HDFC ERGo that I will be refunded the amount of pro rata bases which was around 5900/-
                                Sorry to say nothing has happened so far. I have visited HDFC Begumpet Branch so many times regarding the same. There is this helpful girl at the help desk tried hard to help me but no luck. I want to thank this girl I guess here name is Pooja or Poonam. Now please refund my money. I am shocked if this is the treatment with live people then what kind of security are we looking for if we don’t exist. It’s a shame.

                                What is the update on my complaint status. You guys don't bother or care for your customers when they are alive, and you guys give ads in TV and expect us/ our nominee to feel secure. What a shame.

                                  Today morning as my two son's are not keeping well suffering from high fever I wanted 10000.00 and HDFC ATM never has money in the city which is very bad and worst. I used Canara Bank ATM at trimulgherry center (Baggi Reddy CX) around 8:14, date: 30/03/2017 with Station ID: 08788076.
                                  However, ATM gave only 2500.00 and 7500 was not dispensed by the ATM. I was very worried and called customer care Name: Swapana she gave complaint number 1283759 and told it will take 7 days to reslove the issue. I can't wait please for God sake can some help me and I need my money back. It's my salary. Please give my money back. If anything happens I will definitely take this to higher level and will give my peace of mind...just put yourself in my place and than imagine and then resolve the issue.

                                  Dear Customer,

                                  We take this opportunity to update you on your complaint regarding Rs. 7500.00 not received but debited from your HDFC Bank account for an amount of Rs. 10000.00 /- while trying to withdraw the same from a Canara Bank ATM on March 30, 2017.

                                  As an HDFC Bank customer, when you transact at a non-HDFC Bank ATM the transaction is routed through ATM networks authorized and governed by the RBI. As per the extant RBI guidelines, disputes pertaining to non/short dispensation of cash need to be resolved by way of Charge Back, wherein the card issuing bank raises a chargeback on the acquiring bank whose ATM was used to conduct the transaction. The acquiring bank has to revert with a valid proof in the form an ATM Log indicating that the funds were successfully dispensed failing which the customer’s account will be credited within 7 working days from the date of complaint. Furthermore, as per the network operating guidelines, the ATM log is sufficient and conclusive proof of successful cash dispensation.

                                  We would like to inform you that immediately on receipt of your complaint dated March 30, 2017 we have raised a chargeback on Canara Bank vide Reference number: 1283759. If the acquiring bank whose ATM was used to conduct the transaction does not revert with a valid proof in the form an ATM Log indicating that the funds were successfully dispensed, the amount will be credited to your account on the 7th working day from the date of complaint. Incase the acquiring bank provides a proof of the validity of the transaction the same will be forwarded to your home branch. A letter to that effect will also be sent to you and the account will not be credited. The status of the complaint will also be communicated to you through SMS on your mobile number.

                                    Hi All,

                                    My current brokerage rate is 0.25%, but if buy or sell shares of transaction value less than 10000, hdfc is charging 25rs which is greater than 0.25 of trading value and DP charges for demat account is very high compared with other brokerage firms, I have sent a mail to HDFC securities several time to reduce the brokerage rate to 0.10 for delivery, but they never responded back. If my brokerage rate is not reduced to 0.10, I am going to close all my accounts associated with HDFC.

                                    HDFC Securities charges are very high when compared with other brokerage firms, so don't opt for hdfc, there customer service is very very worst

                                    The brok seems pretty competitive.
                                    I am a customer and am happy with the overall services. The rate despite discounts are subject to a minimum of Rs.25/- or 2.5% cap on the trade value.

                                      I am Vikash Kumar. My HDFC corporate account number(zero balance account) is [protected]. That was my salary account. I am trying to close this account since 1 year approximately. I was opened this account at Agra(UP). Now days the bank are telling me there OD of -10400(INR). My account statement says that there is 0 balance. I'd talked to the bank for close my account. But they are saying me 1stly I have to pay the amount for closer. Every moth they are chaging more and more amout. Requesting you that, please suggest me what I've to do.

                                        I have bank customer from since 6+ years and credit card customer from since 5+ years & I am really happy with your all services. But from last 10 days I am really unhappy with your credit card services.

                                        On 20th March 2017 I have got SMS about deducted 1299.00 for ONE ASSIST MFEE from my credit card. I have called & emailed several time to ONE ASSIST & your bank customer care but no one taking care of my request to refund my money.

                                        ONE ASSIST guys saying me they have not received any amount till from HDFC bank credit card. But I can see debited money in to online banking; I have attached credit card deduction screenshot for your information.

                                        Also I have called HDFC bank customer care on 20th March 2017 & raised complaint about this deduction & they have told me to we have raised complaint about refund my money within 7 days. But as if now no refunded my money.

                                        This is my humble request to you guys please refund my money with immediate effect & please please don’t auto debit any money from my credit card in future.

                                        As per your information I have already blocked my credit card because of this all issue. If you are not able to refund my 1299.00 which is debited without any notification & intimation to me, then I will also close my bank account soon.

                                        I am writing this email from my register email address. If you need any information please let me know.

                                        Hope you guys help me with this asap.
