Its with great regret, disappointment & deep sense of betrayal i have to tell that ICICI Lombard fails to fulfill the commitment of Insurance Claim. Contrary to the promise made by ICICI, during enquiry if the opted treatment was covered under the policy. I was requested me to provide me a letter from the hospital on all the details of the treatment and the cost of the procedures to be performed. We have provided the details to Anil John who is the main Point of contact for ICICI insurance. Anil John confirmed a reply mail stating that my treatment will be covered. I was admitted in Arth hospital for 3 days (17Jul-19Jul) due to problem with Slip disc in my Spine and i was unable to even stand up. I was treated with the below mentioned procedures - Kadi Basti - Greva basti - Abhyanga and PPS - Nadi Sweda - Matra Basti (which is the same as in the letter provided to ICICI to confirm if the the treatment procedures were covered). The treatment provided are PROCEDURES performed on me and clearly not OBSERVATION. I contacted the ICICI call center as my claim was rejected, who told me that the treatment was not provided and it was mere observation. The problem i was facing is Slip disc in my Lower back and just by keeping me in observation will not cure me of the pain/problem The treatment was provided continuously for 3 days and when my body reacted positively and i was in a slightly better state, i was discharged and was advised to continue the same PROCEDURES as my treatment for 28 days by the Doctors which is done accordingly. The following actions were taken by me to opt for the claim: 1: Check with ICICI if the treatment is covered under Insurance - Contacted the In-charge of Medical claims in our Office (Deutsche bank) with the letter from the hospital on details of the treatment. I received a email stating that all the procedures mentioned in the letter is covered. 2: Admitted in the hospital from 17th Jul to 19th Jul during which the all the PROCEDURES provided in the letter from hospital to ICICI is performed. Discharge summary for the admitted period is provided along with all the PROCEDURES of treatment is mentioned on the same. 3: All hospital bills like Admission/discharge fee along with Discharge summary, Bills for the PROCEDURES perfomred, Bills for Medicines and MRI SCAN reports are submitted to ICICI to avail the claim. We have also provided the Medical treatment prescribed by other Doctors (Apart from ARTH hospital) where we consulted for second/third opinion on the treatment. 4: As directed by ICICI insurance, we are requested to make payment of the entire treatment and then submit for the claim in Insurance which is done accordingly. All the polices/procedures required in duly followed. This is absolutely unethical, unprofessional & devoid of any fairness, to me this looks like our hard earned money being used for the treatment by false promise used for rolling purpose without honoring the commitment made at the begining . Which is exactly what i read in the reviews online before the payment inspite of that i trusted ICICI on your words but to no avail. The only reply i get from ICICI is that the claim is rejected as it doesnt meet certain terms (Term 2) which states that the patient has to be hospitalized for 24hrs and procedures to be performed during the period and i have been hospitalized and procedures were performed and the same is stated on the discharge summary. But the call center tells that the ICICI doctors are not approving the claim.. I really feel cheated here as i have spent huge amount on the treatment and followed all procedures as stated by ICICI but invain. Please help!     I have policy of ICICI Lombard, I claim against Medical bill Approx RS. 32000 for reimbursement, we have submitted all original bill, report and inward report but after approx 1 month my claim has been rejected with some common reason “Rejected As per the Part III of the schedule, exclusion under 14, Fraudulent claims? If any claim is in any respect fraudulent, or if any false statement, or declaration is made or used in support thereof, or any fraudulent means or devices are used by the insured or any one acting on his means or device are used by the insured any one acting on his behalf to obtain any benefit under this policy not payable” My baby admitted due to dengue fever and policy no is: 4128I/HPR/90444221/00/000 date of addition is: 11-AUG-14 I want my claim amount, and why they rejected my claim without any proper reason. I requested to share the reason and let me know which document has false statement. I’ll certify with hospital and provide you. In this case if am not able to furnish document, then you have valid reason to reject. During the claim process you haven’t ask any single query.. Even I vested your support office located in thane. They said your all paper is correct and nothing is wrong. I have at least 4 health policy icici Lombard if there is no proper action taken I this policy then I’ll go with other company.         Please Register a complaint against ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. In furtherance to our complaint dated 1.11.2014, it is regretted that no payment has been made till date by ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co. Ltd. The mail is repeated herewith for your convenience and further delay being caused is detailed below : Extraordinary delay in passing Claim of Car No. CH01AP0054, Skoda-Superb Policy No. 3001/82412279/01/000, Claim No. MOT04065746, disgraceful service in settling the claim taking more than 45 days on 0 dep policy having IDV of Rs. 17, 06, 250/- The above car met with an accident on 13.9.2014 at about 2.30 a.m. and car was deliver for repair same day to Giri Raj Motors, Gurgaon but till date the claim has not been settled. The brief particulars of bad service of your officers especially Mr. Rajeev Dhawan handling the claim are as follows:- Date of accident - 13.9.2014 Inspite of various phone calls senior surveyor was not appointed between 13.9.2014 onwards On 25.9.2014 the Investigation Officer visited our office to whom the required undertaking and details were provided On various phone calls and personal visits, nothing concrete was informed, only it was informed that the investigation has been completed On around 17.10.2014 it was promised by Mr. Sidhanshu your officer that it is a full loss and the claim amount would be paid by 22.10.2014 Your officer Sh. Rajeev Dhawan never responded to various calls of ours On 27.10.2014 it was informed by Sh. Rajeev Dhawan the car has been put on online auction to pay the full loss which will be settled by 31.10.2014 But on 31.10.2014 your officer Sh. Rajeev Dhawan refused to various phone calls made to him, lastly various messages were sent to him in the evening but and the response received was that the exact information will be provided on 3.11.2014 and if the full loss is not paid by 3.11.2014, the repaid of the car would be initiated on 4.11.2014. It has taken 52 days to settle the full loss and now it is being informed that on 4.11.2014 the repairs will be initiated. We hereby give you a notice to settle the full claim by 4.11.2014 or else we will file the damages case against the company and its officers for providing disgraceful services in settling the claim. After several phone calls made from 11.00 a.m. till 4.00 p.m. to Mr. Rajeev Dhawan on 3.11.2014, the following mail was received at 4.00 p.m. on 3.11.2014 Rajeev Dhawan <rajeev.[protected]@icicilombard.com> 4:01 PM (20 hours ago) to pavansacheva, me Dear Sir, Plz find below list ...if settled as Cash Loss basis 1) Original RC. 2) Original keys (All) 3) 5 Photos 4) Foreclosure/Financier NOC if hypothecated with bank. 5) AML Docs ( PAN Card, Address proof ) 6) If Superdhari on vehicle then Sale letter issued from court. 7) Service Manual 8) Original Invoice if Hypo not mentioned on RC. 9) Indemnity as per cash loss settlement. ( on 100 Rs stamp paper attested by the notory, attached ) 10) Request Letter ( As attached on plain paper ) 11) Form 28, 29, 30, in triplicate 12) Cancelled cheque with printed name. ( if name not printed then pls attach bank statement ) Address/Signature on the claim form should match with AML docs provided. Rgds Rajeev Dhawan ICICI Lombard - Nibhaye Vaade. The documents required above were made ready by 5.30 p.m. on 3.11.2014 and it was requested to Mr. Rajeev Dhawan that if they can be delivered at Gurgaon office by 6.00 p.m. but he declined to receive the same day and called the CMD to deliver the papers at Green Park Office between 11.00 and 11.30 a.m. on 4.11.2014 so that the full loss payment can be made immediately. The required documents have been delivered at 11.20 a.m. on 4.11.2014 which have been duly checked by Mr. Sunny Bhalla of your company’s office at Green Park, New Delhi. It is important to note that the required documents delivered did not specify the claim amount as they were asked to be given blank. NEFT form has also been sign and submitted. Further the balance amount would take another two weeks thereafter to be remitted from Bombay office. It is important to note that as per Mr. Rajeev Dhawan the online auction was completed on 31.10.2014. It is regretted that we are not concerned whether you sell the car and when you sell the car. We are concerned with the cash loss which occurred on 13.9.2014 but still we have been told to wait for another 20 days to get our claim. This is what your insurance company is upto keeping the claim of Rs. 17.00 lacs to earn interest on the money holding to settle for more than 60 days. We again reiterate that if the payment is not made immediately by 6.11.2014, we will be constraint to file damages case against the company in all forums.             I took my car policy on 20th August. (Cover Note No : I-­[protected] I was supposed to get my Car Insurance in next 20 days. Till date I only received a cover letter & Insurance papers never came. The cover letter date is now expired and I was fined for not having Insurance even after paying for the insurance.

              Dear Sir/Madam, I am your customer holding ICICI Lombard Comprehensive Insurance Policy in Policy No: 3001/HI[protected]/00/000 for my Fludic Verna car with registration No: TN22 CM 3366. My car met with an accident while I was traveling at Velacherry – Madippakkam Road, Chennai. A two-wheeler suddenly jumped from left side crossing the road and to avoid hitting the two-wheeler, I was forced to apply sudden break. However my car dashed the two-wheeler despite of applying the sudden break. Since I had applied sudden break another two-wheeler which was coming behind me has hit on my back without control. No person is injured. Due to which my front and back bumper got damaged. I have registered a claim in Claim No: MOTO 4120550 and the inspection was taken place on 16.10.2014 by your Surveyor Mr.Hari Prasad. The Surveyor without considering the above incident and without considering the common factors in the city traffic, he has approved my claim of the front and back damages as two claims. It is a single accident, single cause of action for making an insurance claim. Though I have explained him clearly over phone, he has not come forwarded to understand the reality and allow the claim. The vague/act of your Surveyor is arbitrary and without any basis. Your Surveyor cannot take a decision on his own according to his whims and fancies. There should be some reasonable approach. When I had made one claim your surveyor has considered it as two claims in an unfair and unjust manner and further told me that “he is employed only for the beneficial of the Insurance Company and not to the customers”. For a single claim, I need not pay Rs.4000/- (Rupees Four Thousand Only) towards claim charges. The act of the surveyor is illegal and against law. Your surveyor forgets that the customers are valuable and insurance is beneficial system for the public/customers and not to make money by the Insurance Company. I am being your customer, I am totally dejected by the act of your surveyor. When all the issues are explained to him clearly over phone, he has abruptly called me to the service spot immediately which is impossible and he has finished the survey in my absence in a biased way on his own imaginations. The act of surveyor without going into the proper analysis is deprecated. Fair and reasonable approach should be adopted in all fairness. Kindly give suitable instructions to your Surveyor to do survey or resurvey in considering the nature of accident and also inform the DSC Hyundai Service Station, Chennai in allowing my claim as a single claim. Please confirm whether my claim for front and back bumper damage is to be considered as one claim. Any delay in this regard will result in retention of my car in the service station and insurance company is responsible for my day today conveyance expenses which I am spending for taxi. I request your goodself to kindly advice your surveyor to give clearance for single claim. If my request is not considered, I will be forced to approach the legal forum, Consumer Court and also Insurance Ombudsmen claiming compensation for my loss, mental agony and sufferings.                 My claim was both for wind shield and condenser. However as on date the company did not reply my attached letter. B.V.Shetgovekar, H.N.!84/1, Gujrabhat, Talaulim, P.O. Goa Velha, Ilihas, Goa, 403108 September3, 2014Associate Vice President, Service Quality, ICICI Lombard Madam, I have to state that somewhere in thefirst week August my car was parked on the road of city of Panaji, Goa.Onecement brick fell on the wind shield of my car and very same day the car wasbanged by some unknown vehicle and the in the process the bumper and condenserof the A/C system was also damaged. Subsequently I took my car to M/S AutoIndustries Margao authorized dealers for Tata Motors. I lodged 3 complaints 1.Wind ShieldDamaged, Bumper Damaged and A/C not working. To my surprise your valuer Mr. SarveshChari inspected the vehicle and did not response on telephone and I was told bya person that only one claim can be made and amount of Rs.4305/-was paid to thegarage. Subsequently it was found that the condenser of A/C was damaged. I wasinformed that no other claim can be settled after claiming one claim TheCondenser was damaged because of accident. Now I had to pay Rs.1153.78 forbumper and Rs.3392.00 for condenser plus Gas refilling Rs.1500.00. If thecondenser would have been damaged the Tata Motors would have replace the sameunder warranty period, I had paid an additional amount of Rs.Rs.1153.78+Rs.3392.00+1500.00 Total amount Rs.6045.78. Your claim was only for windshield. The copy of my complaint about Wind shield, bumper and A/C is with me. The new address on my policy for theperiod 23.09.2012 to 22.09.2013 and subsequently old address on my new policy i.e./30/09/2013to 29/09/2014 on my new policy also spelling mistakes in my surname and that ofmy wife shows efficiency or in efficiency of your Panaji, Goa office. If we goto Public Sector Insurance Co there is officer to welcome the customer howeverat your office the customer is welcomed by a security guard that too in frontof a TOILET and policy is given at later date. In all 4 general insurance companiesthe policies are delivered immediately. I am a retired official of aNationalized Bank and got the vehicle through Shri Ratan Tata under managementquota. Now I request you to settle my claim for Rs.6045.78 else give arejection letter to enable me to take up the matter to consumer court. Thanking you, Yours sincerely, B.V.Shetgovekar hacu

                  my self MOHD.TANVEER KHAN we have our car MAHINDRA QUANTO C2 having 0% DEPTH insurance with ICICI LOMBARD. Due to some issue they are not giving/issuing insurance against CHASIS. They are saying that they will repair it but, i m not satisfying myself in this type of repairing i want them to replace it. I have handed the car to them 21 sep, but from last 15days they are not responsing about this. I have getting too much problem due to the absence of car. I have talked to MR. ANKOOR SAXENA (suveyor) ph.no:-[protected], MR.VIVEK CHANDRA ph.no:-[protected], MR.SANJEEV YADAV(manager) ph.no:-[protected], MR.AKHIL CHOPRA(Delhi HEAD) ph.no:-[protected]. I have talked to them 100 times but not even one person is taking interest in this issue.But, the Manager is not approving the insurance for repairing.car details are given below: car no:- DL 3C AS 4514 name of owner:- Anwar Ahmed colour:- Black I want them to solve my problem as soon as possible.                     Dear Sir, i am a customer of icici Lombard vehicle insurance, my vehicle met with an accident. and the collision was with a dog from the front . At the same time a stone from the dog hit the screen creating a spot on the screen, the wording of surveyor is that this accident is not justified, you go for second claim for windscreen which is very unjustified.look into the matter

                      Hello, I am an Motor Insurance holder with ICICI Lombard with policy number 3001/W[protected]/00/000 Car number = MH01BF3392 Car Model = Skoda Fabia Before entering into Insurance policy I was made assure that complete car will be insured under the policy and the policy is under zero depreciation module where extra premium is paid by me for zero depreciation. Now, when my car met with an accident the survey report covers only partial insurance(right side dent) and left me paying for the partial (other dents and other expenses). This is something very much frustrating from a customers point to pay extra to get covered as per the companies policies and later left paying from our own pocket. I request you to take up this matter ASAP as i have asked the Skoda service centre to fix the car as per survey report and leave the remaining damage as i do not have extra money to put into servicing and fixing after paying huge premium.                         Hi i have given my car swift dezire DL9CAC 7501 to maruti Service station naraina, new delhi for sevice and insurance claim on Sunday i.e.21.9.14 Claim asked was for front and back Bumper, scratch on left side doors.I informed Mr. Gaurav of Maruti that how my car was hit by the acccident on 12.9.13. Monday i received a call from mr. Rohit Khandari no.[protected] (agent - icici lombard) and he told me that they will not give full claim to me as the story mentioned by me is incorrect and i told the guy he might be right because when i was hit by car from both the sides i was in mental shock and didn't noticed the minute details of the accident that where was my car and other asked details, whatever i had into my knowledge i tried to explain them. And i also mentioned this guy Rohit that there are other scratched also on the car but i haven't mentioned those as I was not making any stories about the same. Well he responded the same way till afternoon. I asked him to give me the no. of any senior so that i should tell him the case and he forwarded me the no. of Mohit tanwar [protected]. I called him in the afternoon, after listening to me he said by the evening i will receive the file from Rohit than only he will sort the matter. Since yesterday evening till today i have called mr. mohit four times but with no response. My question is: Is this the services being offered by ICICI lombard to their customers after selling claims. When i was taking policy from icici lombard, the representative told me that I will get bumper to bumper claim. And now when i am asking for the same they are trying to settle me for half... i want to know the reason? Have i done any misrepresentation or done anything intentionally. i have genuienly asked for claim which actually happened to me, no old scratches on door or both side of the rear view mirror was asked by me then what is the problem giving it to me.                           I requested for CNG endorsement on 4th sep 2014 and aksed for the premium and other formalities from ICICI lombard general insurance team, initially they delayed the process in telling premium amount, then they lost the cheque, when I escalated issue to service quality team, they tracked and further delayed the processing of cheque, it has been more than 16 days they have not issued the endorsed copy(not even in the soft copy so that I can run my car on road). I am really fed up and require IRDA to intervene in this. they have the poorest service team among the insurers. I have escalated many times this issue with higher authorities but no comments have been received. they are just delaying the process so that when it comes to claim they can easily escape out of the situation. No response from support team and service team even after escalating many times, to my highest level of frustration i added complains in IRDA and consumer complaints department of indian gov.                             Hi, I had filed a complaint in sep 2012. Claim no- mot02828760 for which all the documents were submitted in march 2013. We still havent heard from the respective department in the company regarding the claim settlement. I was told that the settlement would happen within a months time. Would you kindly look into this ASAP.

                            ICICI car insurance sucks, i have applied done a claim for my car, the surveyor thinks i hit a bike, (now i should really hit a bike to prove him right). he wants to put some investigation. ICICI car insurance sucks.

                              Dear Consumer Complaints review team, Firstly thanks for creating such a forum for general public to post their grievances. Well appreciated!! My mother got hospitalized in Sydney on 17-Mar-14 for breathing problems. After detailed tests &amp; examinations in Emergency department, doctors diagnosed her with a heart failure and chronic kidney problems (CKD). Luckily she was travelling with cashless travel insurance policy from ICICI Lombard which had a limit o[censored]SD $100, 000. We lodged the claim with ICICI and submitted all documents as requested by the insurer, after detailed review of all medical reports &amp; contacting my mother's regular doctor in India, they accepted the claim and Australian hospital was placed a guarantee “in writing” that “Claim is Medically Admissible” and will be paid by ICICI Lombard upon receiving final invoice. After 16 days of hospitalisation, my mother got discharged and 2 weeks later, i flew her back to India for further treatment at Medanta hospital in Gurgaon and to avoid further medical bills in Australia. In the mean time, we also submitted all medical reports and invoices for settlement to the insurer. After 2 months of reviewing, ICICI informed us that claim is “Rejected” as her kidney problems were pre-existing. So ICICI changed their mind after looking at invoices of worth AUD $32, 000 (Approx. USD $30, 000/ Rs 17 Lacs) and found a reason to reject the claim. ICICI clearly took 2 months to search hard through all reports just to find a reason for rejection. The rejection was based on medical reports issued by Medanta hospital in India for mum's treatment after her return to India whereas the claim was related to Australian hospital. One of the medical reports issued by Medanta had an error stating that mum is suffering from kidney problem from last 2yrs whereas Australian medical reports clearly stated that her kidney &amp; heart problem is newly diagnosed. Anyways, we took up this mistake with Medanta and they told us this is a common problem with insurance companies in India. As suggested by them, we submitted an Affadavit to them and they issued us an certificate after through review of reports. The certificate said that the patient is not suffering with CKD from last 2yrs instead since 17/3/14 (date of hospitalisation in Sydney). I forwarded the Medanta certificate to ICICI and requested for re-assessment. Along with that certificate, I also attached all the proof documents to support the claim like Australian medical report, My mother's 2 yr old Australian medical report, Pre-history report signed by mother's physician in India which they already had with them. I submitted all these documents on 26/July/14. It's been more than 5 weeks now but so far they have not replied to me. Whenever i call them for follow-up, they tell me that this is under review with higher management. Honestly this claim is becoming harassment for my family now in India and in Australia. I don't know why an honest person has to still stay deprived from his rights in India. Such incidents are bringing so much bad name that even Indians like me don't want to live in India, who else can we expect to come and settle here. I don’t know when we will get justice in this matter but on behalf of my mother, i request this forum to kindly come forward and help the genuine person.                                 i talked with customer care from cell my phone (12.02 am, 11 Sept 2014) where he was not aware of details and took lot of my time..even kept me awaited for more than 15 mins just to get my coverage details. i wanted to renew policy but with such frustrating experience, i feel like cancelling all my and my network relations with ICICI and Lombard services. It was deliberated attempt to disconnect me..and even he disconnected my phone after 25 mins of holding it. My policy details : 4034i/FPP/73798732/00/000 if ICICI is doing like this just to cheat and not to inform correctly through your customer care, just stop this business. I am going to mark this mail to all higher authorities involved with health and policy. Sorry to say, this is harassment.

                                  Dear Sir/Madam I have ICICI Lombard corporate group medical Health policy no-4016/85361626/00/000. I admitted my wife CHETANA JHALA in condition of severe headache last 3-4 day in ADITYA BIRLA HOSPITAL, CHINCHWAD, PUNE on 08/08/2014 at after noon. After examine by doctor, they told it is a migraine and they told for admission. Doctor started medicine regarding treatment and also done MRI which is required for diagnosis. Then I have submitted all necessary documents at TPA desk for Cashless Madiclaim Pre-Approval and I got 15000/- Pre-approval intimation by SMS and also confirm by TPA. The AL no is[protected] Till evening my wife feel better & Migraine Pain under control, so I have applied for Discharge. For billing final bill amount and detail send to ICICI LOMBARD by hospital then ICICI Lombard rejected my claim due to reason that the document sown like patient admit in hospital only for checkup not for treatment Then I have discussed with my doctor and she given me verification letter for detail treatment given to my wife and confirm the patient condition at the time of admission. I have given full payment for discharge which is 21439.00 /- It was very pain full then I received such type of response from Health Insurance Company. Please suggest me what should I do now.                                     Sir, This is regarding the Health Insurance policy taken in the name of my Wife V. Muthulakshmi. This has been taken in the year 2008 and will get expired in Aug 18th 2014. The Insurance amount was 3, 00, 000 and we used to pay below 7000 p.a as premium. And now we got to know that the company has upgraded the policy and the amount has been increased along with which the premium will also increase (18000 p.a). This was without our consent. My wife has not under gone any medical treatment during this tenure. Hence it is not yet claimed. And we would like to continue with the existing policy of Rs. 3, 00, 000 and would like to inform our unwillingness to go with the up- gradation (3 + 3). Kindly permit us to continue with the existing health insurance of Rs.3, 00, 000 itself. We will not take any further responsibility if the policy get lapsed. Expecting an immediate reply.                                       Dear Sir, I am an cashless card holder of ICICI Lombard. Card no –[protected] and policy no 4128i/IHR/75396409/01/000. On 15.7.14 my daughter was admitted at nursing home due to blood spot appears on full body. After admission the initial insurance section comes from your side was 15000/-. My daughter was admitted at nursing home for 10 days and total bill comes 3, 36, 469/- out of which only medicine charge was 2, 66, 841/-. But at the time of discharge your co not sanction any amount of money rather than initial 15000/- for which I was totally disappointed. It is surprised to me how a good branded co can cheat me like this? Even the Dr.s also surprised how a big brand is cheating like this way... Kindly look into this matter seriously. Thanking you.                                         That means though the policy has been expired, lombard is deducting the premium amount from credit card. I don't want to renew the policy and want my money back with interest.
