Hi,

I received a legal notice from someone claiming to be from Idea Cellular when in fact I do not own an account in Idea and have been out of India for 5 years to use any other telecom service in India. Please take action against these imposters as they are misusing personal information and trying to threaten people. Below is the email as it is received.

Dear Customer,

Greetings of the Day,

As per agreed terms and conditions of Customer Service Agreement duly signed by you, we have provided cellular services towards your Account No.

As per the agreement signed, you have agreed to pay your monthly bills on or before due date of bills raised and if in case of Non Payment therein you will be charged Late Payment and Interest charges as applicable.

However, you have failed to keep your commitments and not paid the billed amounts on time which has lead to outstanding of Rs.354/- Towards your a/c.

Thereafter, despite of repeated requests and reminders by our representatives, you have not paid the said overdue amount till Date.

You are now hereby requested to make the payment of the outstanding amount of Rs. 354/- within next 2 days from the receipt of this notice.

      Today I got a call from unknown number([protected]) and asking for ICICI card information.
      Initially refused to share card information but she told that she is calling from ICICI bank to give cash back Rs 4, 800 rupees.
      She told that she will send the official SMS from ICICI bank then you will share the card information.
      I received the SMS similar to ICICI bank and shared card information and OTP also.
      After that 4 unauthorised transaction happens for the amount Rs19, 200. Please help me to get this money back

        Im the citizen of nizamabad telangana.recently my sim was not working so i went to idea showroom for the replacement and the girl asked me for my id proof. And then i submiteed my id then she gave me a new sim card. There was on it the MRP was RS:5. But she took RS 100 from me. And on other network stores it was upto RS:30 only how can idea take 70rupees extra.please take action

            previously using BSNL prepaid service port to idea post paid.
            idea agent took the id and sim and then gave me the activated sim after a couple of days.
            i am paying my bill regularly but now they added some other number bill to my bill and blocked my services.
            i visited to idea office they told that my number is connected with other persons id that not paid the bill so now i have to pay the bill.
            how can my number can be port to any other persons name?
            idea agent also not receiving phone

              How pathetic service is of IDEA, i have never seen such a bad bad bad operator. I think Idea thinks it is a smart enough to cheat the customer and feel enjoy if customer suffer. Customer Care executives are knowledgeless, moodless and eager to cut the call.

              Yes friends, Above statements are absolutly right for mumbai circle IDEA operator. I have given request for MNP in same operator from MH to Mumbai on 24th Jan and after that i have visited IDEA office couple of times just to know what status of my dead sim but each time wrong commitment received by IDEA executives. then i called on CC mumbai postpaid, yes executive who received the call in total sleepy mood, he was not able to resolve the query so escalated to supervisor Pankaj who was also not capable to answer for simple query. He told me that he is the senior only on floor and disconnect the call.

              Hope this massage will help IDEA in its service improvement. Call me if you have any resolution on [protected].

                  I am experiencing a very bad 4G speed in my 4G LTE enabled device in the Chennai region.
                  Now I am getting an advice from my friends to PORT my Idea 4G sim to other network operator (Airtel) & I think it's better to use Airtel than wasting my money on Idea.
                  I also tried to see Idea coverage in my region but it is showing N/A.
                  The plans Idea is providing to it's users like:
                  Pay Rs.146 & get 6GB 4G/2G data is not that much worthy till the time Idea adds 3G also as the customers are not getting it's 4G speed everywhere.
                  So, sir please see into it & improve your service in the Kattankulathur (Chennai) region.

                  I am facing very bad range for 4G since I choose daily 1 GB plan. Before that I am getting good range at my home and office. The daily plan seems to be have some trick by giving slow speed and user cant use 1GB quota fully.
                  Home area- Bavdhan pune
                  Work area - Hinjewadi pune
                  Worst internet speed of Idea, (Visakhapatnam -Andhra pradesh). After I updated to daily 1 GB plan (Rs449). The speed became worse. The 4G Speed of Idea is not even matching the 3G speed of Airtel. I am getting only upto 300KBps speed on Idea. Please improve your Speed Speed Idea And stop Bluffing around by giving us 2G/3G in the name of 4G. My SIM no. [protected]
                  I am experiencing very poor and fluctuating idea 4g speed in kothrud, Pune region. Fix this problem as soon as possible else i am porting to Airtel.

                    Today afternoon i recieved a call for reward points on my SBI credit card. They have asked for the details and told me the correct amt of rewards I had. It was a lady on the other end. It asked for my cvv and otp no. Within the span of two mins four transactions has been done. I just looked that many using SBI credit card users are suffering from this fraud. This should be stopped and all the people responsible for this should be put behind the bars.                       I recharged with sum of rupees 200/- They deducted 180 rupees without any call or service . I tried to call customer care and sent mail as well but they are not responding with appropriate reason either they put the call on hold for very long time etc ..

I had made the complaint for excess charges for the month of November, December'16 but the same has not been addressed.                           Sim No-[protected] is permanently deactivated on 07th October 2016.

                          A bill amount of Rs. 531 along with already paid amount of Rs. 265.17 is charged on that sim for the period, 15th Oct 2016 to 15th Nov 16.

                          Bill amount which is carry forwarded (I.E RS.265.17 ) was already paid by me.

                          The transaction details are as below:

                          Because my sim was discontinued the services from 07th October 2016. Since my billing date was 15th October 2016, i paid the bills till 15th October 2016.

                          For the rest amount ; ie billed from October 2016 onward, I am not responsible for the same.For the discontinued time period, why the bill is generated? I have paid all the bills till oct 2016.

                          Kindly check with your billing status and intimate accordingly.

                          Please note that, this issues was already put in consumer forum on 16th Nov 2016 also . One lady replied from your end and told that she will check with the status and update me. But, till no reply has given.

                          After that on 24th January 2017, i visited idea, kalyaninagar showroom . Their also no detail billing was available, so, they put e-mail to idea, office and said will intimate me within 1 working day. No reply from their also was given.

                          If it is entered incorrectly, requesting you to waive it off.

                          Fed up with your billing system and calls.

                            I have been received a mms .there is instruction that please go the the http;//www.ideacellular.com/webmms and then type UR username & password . but still i am searching where is it. i am dosent found above mentioned web site, instead of this http://115.69.159.205:8080/webgui/. when i was trying to log in there has been an error, showing login id or password is wrong. what to do.? this has been to much irritated.

                              It is brought to your notice that i have been ported from vodafone prepaid to idea prepaid on 25/01/2017. i had been told to dial 59059 from my new operator for the activation of my number. i tried atleast 100 times for the tele verification on 59059 but there is no response from 59059. Every-time call disconnects whenever i dial the same. look into the matter for the solution. I think that was my biggest mistake of porting from vodafone to idea. my no. is [protected]

                                I would like to inform you that one juice up service is activated today 25 jan 2017from web for my no [protected]. for this it took 35rs.charges per week. After calling to customer care I am not satisfied with his response that call after 4hrs to know the status and if you use any service then it will be chargable. As I stated that I haven't used any service or download anything named juiceup services is activated without my knowledge. I request you to not to fool people by activating such services and apply charges in their bill for the service that they have not used So please deactivate and refund my valuable money. waiting for your prompt reply ...

                                  On 23rd Jan 2017 Glamour Zone got activated automatically on my phone without my consent.

                                  I was surfing a website on my phone and on clicking on a link to go to the next page of the article the page opened in a new tab and I continued browsing. After a few minutes, I got an SMS saying that Glamour Zone VAS has been activated on my phone and Rs. 75 have been deducted from my balance. I called Idea Customer Care immediately and the customer care executive deactivated the Glamour Zone VAS and assured me that the deducted amount would be refunded within 24 hours.

                                  I waited for 48 hours and still there was no refund. On calling Idea Customer Care again, they said that there was no request made for a refund and there is nothing that they can do about it. Moreover, they said that I had knowingly activated the VAS and it is impossible that it has got activated without my consent. I am an engineer and well-versed with how to operate mobile devices and surf the internet, so this hasn't happened due to any mistake on my part.

                                  I expect a refund and action to be taken under Glamour Zone as there are multiple incidences of fraud by this VAS provider.

                                    I used [protected] Mobile Number Since Last 4 year, presently it is in MTS. but Idea Cellular Also Issued Same Number In idea from last 1 year.
                                    I complained about 4 time in idea but they did not respond me
                                    And now this number is in Mts As Well As idea. I m totally mentally haressed s by this, I visited 3 to 4 time in idea, and they ignore my issue all time.
                                    Presently my number is the helpline number of Blood volunteer, and due to unwanted calls m too frusted.
                                    One person didn't get blood in right tym due to this
                                    Please solve my issue

                                        Hi,
                                        In 5 to 10 Jan 2017, I converted my postpaid (Two no, [protected] & [protected]) to prepaid. At 6th Jan 2017, I paid my bill which is 808.46 (Ref No[protected]. As it is registered for the smart play that's why again on 12/01/2017 paid 808.46.
                                        Now my both card converted into the prepaid. I call Idea customer care but they weren't responding me in the correct way. I visit Idea gallery also but they also told me to go to the main branch.

                                        Please help me to back my money

                                        I got a message today that my balance is 2.34 rs and 3 rs deducted from my account. I didnt activate any scheme. before 2 yrs i got the same problem and they deducted 249 rs.
                                        They are always trying to do wrong balance deduction. I tried to call them but after few minutes phone call automatically drop.
