I have requested to close the account, well in advance, through mail.
No action is taken and they are accumulating the bills and sending reminders every month.
On number of occassions, replying to bill payment demands, i am asking them to close the account.
At one time i have tallked to custcare rep and i was informed that they have received the mail and the same has been forwarded to concerned department in last week of sept itself.
But no action has been taken. frankly i dont remember the date but before the concersation i heard that, that call will be recorded for quality purpose.
I have received calls and i explained what i have done. They listened to me and said that they will come back to us.
but instead of call, i will receive a mail that no request for closure of account is received.
i received auto generated acknowledgements for my mails and some tome tickets also raised.
even then, i am receiving mails that i have not requested for closure of accounts.
(email reference i have received in auto generated mails viz:mail reference Id E1-[protected].
some times tickets also raised viz:Ticket Date : 07/Nov/2016---Ticket Number : TCT[protected])
on 22nd september i have sent mail to close the account with effect from 1st october 2016.
on 25th september i have reminded them with another mail requesting to close the account.
on 12th october i have received bill payment mail and i replied to close the account.
(other mails as per dates mentioned on them)
there are some more mails, i can provide, if necessay.

i have sent all related mails and acknowledgements. and still they are telling that i have not requested for closure.

team - i have paid this Rs. 1392 amount, not that i have used and done something wrong.

just to not waste any more time on this issue...

you have demanded 3800+, then came down to 2200+ and now to 1392.
this itself shows that how erratic you are.

no response for mails and every one wrote that they have not received mails.
blatant lie.

i know, i can win even if i go to consumer court.

but this is not worth it...

feeling that my hard earned money was robbed by you... sorry to say...

my complaint is very clear... mail sent for closing account...as per above correspondence, final amount Rs.1392 paid by me... now i have received bill for february... what is happenning??? account is not yet closed??? very irresponsible...
today ie. 23 Jan i have received SMS and mail that a credit note has been created for my account[protected].

I have port-in my number [protected] into idea. Yesterday i got the message of port in request approval. Then i inserted the new sim card and gave the call on 59059 but no body is giving any response since last night.

This is pathetic. I am suffering due to this because incoming and outgoing both restricted.

Resolve it ASAP.
My number 744742*** show bill of 2932 and services are barred. Last month bill was 949 that was generated on 15th of this month. Now suddenly after I had request change in plan, Idea App shows 2932 Rs outstanding. And services are barred.

People at customer support are very abusive. Please tell where to clarify these issues.

    after successful process idea rejected my mnp..
    I want idea to let my porting done..i complained a couple of times before regarding the problem but no one is ready to address it and idea even denied to take complain...due to which I m facing problems and my complain is not addressed further I am going to case against idea cellular of mental harrassment

          Hi my idea number [protected], i had 11.51 rs balance in my number idea company deduct 3 rs charges for dialling number *123 .but i did not dial any number like that, when i called in customer care and i talked to mr rahul and he said i will not deduct your balance because you dial that number then he transfer to r sandeep he is superviser and again i explained everything but no one give my balance and say only i will not give you and without info disconnect the call 45 times (RAHUL, SANDEEP, ASHISH, RANJAY, SWATI).
          I want my money return please help me.

                I have ported out my mob. no. [protected] from Idea to BSNL in November 2016. At the time of porting, local Idea franchise (then) asked to deposit a security of Rs. 350/- (Receipt attached). It is also come to know from present local Idea franchise that a sum of Rs. 46/- (approx) is also pending in my account for refund. Thus a total sum of Rs. 396/- is pending with Idea for refund. There is no proper place or contact/email etc. at Idea portal to claim or complaint in this regard. Kindly arrange to get my above refund.

                  Dear Sir,

                  Idea Cellular is harassing me from last two moths i got fed up with them .My bad luck is that i cant port my mobile number before 90 Days.

                  My number is [protected] on the name of Akash Kumar . Recently on 17 dec 2016 i received my first bill from Idea . I checked and found there are some wrong charges occurred to my account and i put up a complaint about that on the same day and asked about reversal of the same.

                  Now today i am receiving a call regarding that complaint and the person over the phone told me your complaint has been resolve but we can not reverse the charges .

                  I just can`t understand that to say me this company taken three days and where was the resolution i hardly found.

                  Untrained Staff and not very helpful at all for everything they will book back call for you and back call will receive after 24-48 Hours.

                  By all this i just feel looted and feel very upset with my decision to port my number in idea.

                  Now from last more than three days i am trying to change my bill but customer care unable to help me in this and told me to activate through the idea app. I tried more than 8 time but every time failed .

                  I Just can`t understand why this pathetic company advertise so many big things and show in their that they have best services and support.

                  Further i enclosed herewith email copies of correspondence with them for your reference.

                    Dear Sir,

                    Its further to Police Complaint Acknowledgement No. 41/17 dt. 18.01.17, I received a call from [protected] at 11.23 am on 17.01.17 where she said we are calling from bank online reward points department and she asked the credit card details for the purpose of transferring my reward points from payback account to my credit card directly. As I did have Rs. 4, 886 worth of points in my payback points, I assumed it is a genuine call and I gave the card number and she asked the CVV & OTP. I checked my SMS and there were 2 transactions of Rs.4, 800 done by then and they disconnected the call.
                    I immediately checked with the ICICI customer care and they mentioned it was fraud call and asked me to raise a police complaint as I had disclosed my CVV and OTP. I have currently blocked my card. I tried to contact that person but the mobile no. comes switched off.

                    Please request you to help me on this matter to get back the amount.

                        Hello, i converted from postpaid to prepaid on 11th Jan 2017.
                        After conversion recharged with Rs.50 on the same number after recharge automatically SMS pack was activated resulting deduction in Rs.33 then there was again deduction of Rs.5 stating zero call duration.

                        so i raised a complaint against it at your idea office with SR no.1-[protected]. then i received a call from this number [protected], she was not at all understanding what my complaint was so i requested to transfer the call to her supervisor on which the answer was its not possible and will get call back for which i said ok.

                        till 18th Jan 2017 i havent recieved any call, so i raised a complaint again on 18th jan 2017 with SR No.1-[protected] for which again i recieved a call from same number again the same lady was talking naming Priyanka, when started asking for the complaint she started talking some rubbish as your call rate are so and so you will be charged so and so for STD call but when i asked her about my concern she was abusive as to u will be charged and u have done it etc.

                        You will have to take the issue seriously and do the needful ASAP .
                        Or else i have to use Legal form.

                        The complaint has not been resolved when raised for the third time also. The reply from idea customer care people is that you have activated it and we cannot resolve it, in a very rude manner.

                        i`m totally unsatisfied with the Treatment and porting it to another and will also tell all my friends and relatives to do so.

                          I had made a complaint that my postpaid no [protected] has not reinstalled even after 1 and half months.

                          There was a call from company that my number will be reinstalled in 48 hours last week.

                          Actually office here in Pune is not responding to my queries
                          They say that they have no information about what has happened with my installation form submission.

                          Also there was a call about my address varification
                          that is also too many days ago.

                          yet there is no feedback from Idea company.

                          But still it has not reinstalled.

                          I have not applied of any fashinz facility or products .it is fully bakwas that illigaly and automatically deducted rs 35/-without my consnt pl refund it
                          I recharged for spl offer and got balance. Next day they send sms for spl offer and recharged it.
                          They totally deleted old balance 5GB internet and they recharged new one with 6 GB.

                          But it should be 5GB + 6 GB.

                          They are cheating customer.

                            I think company wants to make good money in a short period by way of claiming high bill from the customer. They do not respond to query at all. They do not even clarify our queries for increase in bill amount. Sent many emails to customer care, not even a single email from them or clarification over phone.

                            My post paid plan is i plan 199 and my bill amount is Rs1158=40 for Jan 17. What is the use of selecting our own plan and paying high to them.
                            Bill says data usage and when I check balance data by using SMS, i got reply sms stated bal 200MB. Who can clarify my issue.

                            As per Idea Cellular customer care's response, no one has contacted or emailed to my query on 17th January 2017 as my mobile was out of service. Only on 18th January 2017 have contacted over phone and said bill is raised as per usage. Requesting simple calculation as like what was the total data used and how much freebie data adjusted against it for my understanding. Already in the bill, data used is given in vol/Dur. date wise.

                            On 21.1.17, executive from Idea customer care called me over phone and tried to explain the billing details which is not correct and I told him to send his explanation by email but they have not sent as of today. My postpaid plan took was i-plan 199 for which 7 freebie packs are eligible. Accordingly I have selected initially 2 packs of 3g data i.e.300MB, 3 packs of local calls i.e. 330 min and 2 packs of STD calls i.e. 180min.
                            Idea have confirmed that I have consumed 418MB during the month cycle of Jan 2017. I have agreed that I have consumed 418MB and I told them submit how they have charged me Rs 811=47 after adjusting my eligible freebie 300MB. For which they said that I have consumed all 418MB data in six days against eligibility is only 18MB i.e. (3MB X 6 days) for six days and 400MB has been charged at the rate of 40p/10KB. How it is possible and they never explained when I took this plan. I was told 300MB for bill cycle.
                            From my experience, please go in depth about plan details when anybody takes plan from the mobile operator.

                            From Idea Cellular called me today and said they have clarified by email for my query of how data was calculated when I eligible of 3OOMB as per my plan. I have consumed 418MB and they have charged me for 400MB deducted 18MB as freebie against 300MB as per my plan.

                            When I checked the email which has no relevant to my query as explained and email is only contained introductory information. Copy of email snapshot attached.

                              Hi, My name is srikanth I am using idea prepaid sim for more than 2 years. Recently have i upgraded my mobile phone which got nano sim. So i visited the nearest idea showroom(adambakkam, chennai) on 13th jan 2017 and store guy told it will take 24 hrs to proccess. Even after 24 hrs i didnt got any sort of reply. So i visited store again and the same guy told it will activate to night. But it didn't got activated even after 2days. I went there again and same guy was telling that there is an issue in store server bcoz of that your request hasnt processed and it will be activated soon.                                 I wanted to PORT in from BSNL to IDEA MPCG. I applied at the Idea Local Store in Sagar MP (Shri Parasnath Enterprises, Gujrati Bazar, Sagar) on 2nd January 2017.

                                First complaint: Initially the store incharge denied to accept passport as ID/address proof but later agreed when I resisted, they need to be educated about GOI rules.

                                Second complaint: store incharge called me next day that he has given me wrong SIM card, so I had to go to idea store again to take a new sim card.

                                Third complaint: After 7 days when I enquired, the store incharge informed me that my application form is rejected because I have not signed it. While filling application form, I did what store incharge said me. If I didn’t sign the application, its fault of store incharge who guided me. Later they said me that the person who guided me to fill application was not the appropriate person (he was field incharge, not the office person), WHAT? A field incharge was doing office job? And his inability made a huge mistake and I had to repeat all over again. Is there any sense of responsibility?

                                Fourth complaint: Even my form was rejected due to not being signed, NO ONE FROM IDEA informed me (or on my alternate phone number) and I only had to enquire about it. So I had to make the application process all over again on 10th January.

                                Fifth complaint: several further passed and I didn’t any response from idea whether they are interested in MNP or not. I inquired the store and he said my signature didn’t match from the ID proof and form application. No problem, but why they didn’t inform this to me. They said me that probably information was send on alternate phone number, but no information came. When I inquired about this the store incharge (Abhishek Vishwakarma) and his team became rude, irresponsible, talking in improper language etc. Then he talked to Idea Sagar head Deepak (as said to me). But no help came. Highly irresponsible and unprofessional behavior.

                                Even though, I have applied all over again on 16th January and hope it gets done.

                                But I need clarification from you people (if any one responsible in Idea Cellular) about wasting my time & money (in four travels to Idea Store), and misbehave done by store people. I hope someone responsible can handle this matter and will seek the reason behind this matter, and take strict action against store peoples and Deepak (so called Idea head Sagar).
                                Make my number ported in Idea immediately and send me written apology for this matter.

                                  Please be inform that I have taken new SIM but offer is not given for the same per promise, They have promise to give 1 GB 4G data and 30p call rate for one month, but they have activated and given 2G data 100MB for 28 days.

                                  I have call to idea customer care but they are arrogant and not ready to take the complain. Very bad experience with idea.

                                      Sir, I am the Wallet Holder of No. [protected] from that I transfer my money of Rs. 2000 through NEFT on 3rd January but that amount yet not deposited in my Bank Account.
                                      I contact with Customer Care officials many times but they told the transaction was successfull and they told to talk with Bank Officials. I contact with the Bank Manager also they told that I Return Your NEFT amount of Rs. 2000 to Idea Money due to incomplete Name and they give me a written letter of Return NEFT Amount with Ref. No CMS[protected].
                                      I complaint Two times in Idea Money Customer Care centre with Complaint No. 572612 but they are not find my problems solution.
                                      So please take action against this problem and sort out my problem as early as possible.

                                        I buy the 4G long term Plan with -1GB @ Rs. 103 for 6 month @ of Rs.749. After one month Idea given option to recharge Rs.103 to get 1GB 4G data as per above package. But after that they removed the option from the site and no other option provided to recharge Rs.103 for same. I called customer care to inquire about the recharge. customer care person said my package has been expired. i surprised that within 3 months my offer expired. I took it on 12/10/16 for 6 months. I try to explain but customer care person said. "Pls dont follow the Idea website offers as your offer expired, we cant do anything", " you recharge Rs.251 for 1GB /4G.

                                        The offer still available in the Idea 4G site as "4G Long Term Plan – 1GB @ Rs.51*". but still no option to recharge after that to get the monthly Data for Rs.51/- .

                                        I requesting here with the team Idea. Dont make make money of common poor people by offering such foolish plan. or you must provide an option to recharge after that.
