company has provides very high speed in my idea net setter because my net setter has only 5-7 kbps speed.please accept my application.

i have IDEA NET SETER in which i get only 5-6 kps speed. what problem i shall have?in my area network is showing 96-99% .I have trend micro insecurity internet anti-virse
hi...i want to activate idea net service on my mobile, my no. is [protected] frm punjab
Idea Net setter Speed @ 1Mbpy ( 1 mega bits per year).
Items Required to connect.
1. Big Coconut
2. Very good idol of Lord Ganeshji
3. Other Pooja ites.

How to connect.

1. chant "jai ganesh" 101 times.
2. Request him to get connected
3. Break the coconut, if the coconut split into to two " OK you can click on the "connect" button.

Still you cannot connect, its not because of "Idea Net Setter", you had mis-spelled the chanting. go take rest. practicing yoga will give better results.

if you are looking for better performance and speedy internet, never opt for unlimited plan. you will be pooled into a user group with increased number of connections, more than the connectivity of the node.
i have IDEA NET SETER in which i get only 1 gb speed avalabul data
I just bought the idea net setter yesterday. well the browsing speed is fine but the download speed is very bad...it takes 1 hr to download a video of 6 mins...and i am a person who downloads lots of videos and movies and my purpose for buying this datacard was because i wanted very good downloading speed. i was goin to opt for landline but since i am not a citizen of india and i keep moving from place to place i had no other choice. i believe my RS2500 was a waste. its better that i go to a cyber cafe and download. it'll cost me much less i guess..i thought even if i don't get 236 kbps its fine atleast 200 or 150. that also seems impossible. anyways my money is gone. so can't help it

    I am a long time user of Spice / Idea ISP and sticking to it because my phone number has been sent to a huge contact list that I can't change my Service Provider. I use a pre-paid connection from this Provider.

    I own a HTC P3470 GPRS/GSM/EDGE ready touch phone. I received an SMS from Idea/SPICE mentioning "For Rs. 49/month, enjoy unlimited GPRS internet on your mobile phone and surf yahoo, google, msn, AOL ... send an SMS to ..."

    I sent the SMS to the required number and in an hours time, I got an SMS mentioning that they have received my request and currently processing it and that I should be expecting the GPRS settings that I need to apply on my phone to activate this feature. Along with that Rs. 49 from my pre-paid account was charged.

    I did not get the promised 2nd SMS and I had to call back their service center for the same. As ever, the consultant said "sorry" and she would help me with the settings manually. Unfortunately the person was not able to figure out how to get GPRS connection settings on my mobile and found it difficult to continue. Half done, she gave it to her manager who then again asked which phone I was using and mentioning that I was using HTC P3470, he reconfirmed from his manual that SPICE / IDEA "does not" support GPRS on HTC phones. (This is a big lie, as I have used this service in the past on the same phone). Now they tell me that HTC P3470 does not support GPRS.

    Now according to them they cant provide the service, which I was disappointed, but was still okay. Now that they can't offer me the service, I asked them to re-credit my Rs. 49 that got deducted when I sent the SMS.

    To my surprise, the consultant / Manager say that they can't do that. How can you charge me Rs. 49 for a service and not provide that service??? If they can provide that service, they should refund the same back to me, which is not the case here. All I am told is that I need to get a new phone which supports GPRS and use this SIM card of theirs on that phone. How silly and frustrating can this get?

    The experience left me feeling cheated outright. How can they not refund me Rs. 49 when they can't offer a service? The SMS does not carry any message about my phone not being ready to handle their service or any kind of disclaimers. How can they take entice me into a situation where I become a victim.

    Rs. 49 is not a huge amount. But it is the principle on which a company should run. Imagine Rs. 49 from one person and considering the total network that Spice / Idea has and how many they may have cheated. Irrespective, they should have a system where the users are not charged for a service not provided.

    I request the Consumer forum to raise a complaint against SPICE / IDEA Bangalore to correct their process and prove their credibility.

    HTC mobile P3470 — Phone is dead not getting activated

    I purchased HTC P3470,from hypercity store Malad MUMBAI.IMEI no is [protected] with S/N DP814GL00004 and P/N 99HERO16-00 A.
    invery first month mobile developed fault and its motherboard was changed by service center sec 32 chandigarh in warranty period. Now it is hanging and scren is not responding to stylus.when shown to service center chandigarh it has been advised to replace screenfor cost rs 4500/-.i feel very sorry with product of high cost behaving like this .what company can do now,pl help

    I have spice cell phone No.[protected] prepaid. Whenever, I deposit say Rs.100/- or Rs. 50/-, the balance comes to Rs.10 or less in no time with little or no use. This is occurring due to the connivance between the Idea/Spice official and the offender Sh.Suraj Jyoti of 451 B, BRS Nagar, Ludhiana. The offender is a compulsive conniver-cum-sadist. He is an antisocial/antinational element.

    Would you kindly surprise-check the official and the nefarious activity of the sadist offender so that the manipulation as pointed does not occur in future? A deterrent punishment to the connivers is a must.

      I had brought a fly phone and having the Idea post paid connection I asked regarding the call barring password to both of them but both are passing the bug by saying that this is phone build service and the phone company is saying that this is operator provided service.

      I dont know from where I can got that call abrring password.
      Please help me to get it ASAP

          I am Idea! Net Setter user since JAN 2009,
          i have bought Idea Netsetter (Wireless modem + one month's charge 2490+749=3239) from New Delhi's Nehru place Idea costomer relationship center till now it working good, , , , , Number :[protected]
          Now i have reloacated to Gujarat and hear i went to Idea shop for buy it's new sim card, , , , , , ,
          That time they said me that for buy new sim card for the net setter you have must buy New Modem, , , ,

          i have asked to they why should i have to buy new net setter they, so they said me be couse the Modem's IMEI Number configred with the circal's sim number, but here i try to use my delhi's net setter with here's sim card(my friend's) and it was working, , , , , ,

          so, this is not proper resone, , , , , ,

          and before i am came here i visited to Idea shop in delhi they said me that you have to buy only new sim in gujarat Rs, 89

          But now in gujarat's idea shop, they said me you have to pay Rs.2490 for new Modem, i said them i have allready modem of Idea and also your existing customer, and not provid me sufficeint information

            I activated Unlimited GPRS on number [protected] (SMS: GPRs UNLTD to 54666). According to custcomer care and idea site (ideacellular.com), the unlimited plan will deduct Rs.30 each day and i can access unlimited web pages in 24 hours. But my 30 Rs were deducted firstly and then additional 2paise/KB were deducted on subsequent browsing.
            Likewese my balance of almost 60 Rs. was deducted and now my balance is minus 30Rs.

            As stated on idea's website and by custcomer care, i should be charged only Rs 30 and not more.

            Please see that i can henceforth access unlimited GPRs with only Rs. 30 per day.

            hi iam mahesh,
            i activated unlimited aircel gprs 98rs pack, and i connected to PC.and i faced problem that data transfer is very slow, it transfer the data less than 1kbps, also browsing speed also very low.also customer care people not giving the accurate information about gprs details, they are keep on holding the line.
            i activated the gprs details by manually with the help of friends.
            before you activating the aircel gprs 98 pack, please try the 14rs pack for speed testing.

              Hi,

              I am an Idea customer with mobile number [protected]. On 9th of June I activated a service ACTSMS50 and sent a message to activate the same. I recieved a confirmation for the same on 10th of July that this service has been activated.

              After the activation of the service my Outgoing and Incoming calls are coming as rejected/Disconnected/check operator service and a variety of different messages.

              On repeated complains to the Customer care and on a lot of delebrarions they came up with the idea of changing the SIM. The cost of which has to be borne by me.

              When the problem has occured not because of my negligince why should i bear the cost of the sim. Plus the harrasment which i am going through because of the blockage of the calls.

              The other point is that from some specific IDea numbers i can recieve calls.

              could someone please look into this and help.

                Yesterday I have made a call to call centre regarding plan activation of Rs 50 in which 250 min idea to idea free scheme after confirmation from executive who have received my call & have discontinue my Idea To Idea 1 min free scheme & executive have register my request for activation of Rs 50plan & deactivation of 1 Min. free scheme.He have deactivate my 1 min. free scheme which i was availing since 3 years & activation could not possible of Rs 50 plan which i have received sms today due to STD package activated on my account & executive haven't informed me this thing on call.Due to which I am not beneficial from 1 min free nor from Rs 50 plan. As a genuine consumer please do the needful ASAP in activation of Rs 50 plan or continue my previous 1 min free scheme.Today all executives have transfered my call to supervisors but after a long waiting i am not able to connect to them.I am fed up from this.Please do the needful in ressolution as they haven't left any other option for me except sending mail to you.Hope a prompt satisfactory response from your end soon.

                  This is to inform you that I am not able to use my outgoing services from last one day my number is [protected], I’ll pay my bill and unbilled amount as per the status given by your customer care executive, I am going to your idea point at[protected].30 Pm, ur executive told me sir please pay 500 Rs amount and your outgoing services will activated shortly, but my service is not activated, then I’ll call to 12345 at 6.30 PM your customer care executive told me your outgoing will started 7.30 Pm but still m out going not start, then i am again call to customer care on 12345 their statement is sir please pay again 500 Rs so we can start your service, please tell me one thing my bill due amount is 269 Rs and unbilled is 845 rs so why I am paying extra amount, and why ur executive giving me false commitment again and again, what the hell is going on, sir I am not able to continue your services i[censored] are not activated my outgoing services.

                    I started receiving messages since 12th June2009 at many times to begin with and now after odd Hours for the last 3 days at 00-25, 01-39 Hrs. containing Childish Jokes plus advice that "Rs1 has been deducted from your pre paid account for Masti/Fundoo service.
                    This MASTI /FUNDOO Service is IDEA alone Knows why and to whom it is to be provided at odd hours.
                    I have record of messages available if someone from the police department may like to investigate.
                    I being a Senior Citizen, at my age do not like to be disturbed at odd Hours by Customer Provided Service to take liberties to send me messages and then remind me that a Bill od Rs 1 is deducted from my prepaid connection from Ideas IZ-53030 and ID-52703 and whatso ever.
                    2. Then there are also messages on select dates of M/s Idea that Rs.7 has been deducted from your Account VAS usage on 12thJune, but for Chit Chat. For the last 4 years of my use of Mobile these titbits never disturbed.
                    Has all this service been Newly introduced and has it been Blessed by the Directorate of Telephone and the Govt.'s Regulatory Authority/Agency?

                      Dear Sir,
                      I am a customer of IDEA. I am using the idea cellular card from more then last 5 Years. I had taken IDEA DIALER TONE package @ Rs.- 30/- per month rental. I am surprising to say that from last 4 Months IDEA making their ADVERTISEMENT WITHOUT my permission at my cost of Rs.-30/-. Every time whenever my friends/ collogues called me first 10 seconds they heard a ADVERTISEMENT from idea then only then after they are able to heard my PAID Dialer tone.

                      This is being serious when I heard from IDEA customer care that this ADVERTISEMENT is being endorsed by IDEA Company itself. This is the company’s policy to put down a ADVERTISEMENT at the customer's cost. This is the height of limits. IDEA Company playing with my money and does their marketing.

                      Also, when I had complained (twice in last week 19th & 21th June- 2009 ) @ IDEA customer care Ahmedabad & surprisingly no action has been taken by IDEA itself yet now (i.e. on 23/06/2009)

                      This is the clear cheating done by IDEA.I want reimburse for 4 Month dialer tone.

                      Pls. help me out and give me suggestions how can you help me out for getting the reimburse

                        sir,
                        I converted my prepaid card to post paid & took an add-on connection on that number. At that time, I was told about the intercalling rates @10ps/min between primary & add-on number. But, in the bill, it is reflecting that it is not happening & I'm being charged @60ps/min for my calls to add-on number & some calls to this number are not being shown in the bill. I had got all the information from the Idea Cellular franchisee at Karjat, dist. Raigad, shop name is "MAYUR COMMUNICATIONS". Now, the system is proving unable to answer my queries & they are saying that you'll have to use the connections with same call rates. I'm just not getting what's my mistake if their franchisee has mis-trained people working out there.

                        Idea — misguidance

                        Dear Friend,

                        I am having Idea number [protected] (maharastra goa circle)..

                        As per tarriff plan of gprs plan i had renewed the pack at the end of validity...

                        I had recharged by Rs.98.00 as per gprs plan on[protected] at 3.36am. I had got confirmation about activation of the pack at 3.38am on same day. The time when i had recharged the same i had Rs.187.37 in my main balance.

                        After that from 8.00am from the same day i started getting mail on my handset and my balance automatically got deducted.
                        Then i had complained to idea customer care about my deductions. my complaint doccect no was 1-[protected]. and was mentioned that " your concern for recharge benefits not received is under process and would be actioned within 24/02/2011 5.57pm."

                        Meanwhile i was in touch with customer care that my balance is deducting and was informed that it will be solved ... my balance got down to Rs.1.22. Nobody from customer care was taking this problem seriously.

                        Later my balance was Rs.100.22. then at about 8PM on[protected]. i had called customer care about my balance deductions.
                        They replied me that we had refunded me Rs.98.00 recharge done by me.. but will not be able to refund the amount deduceted. Also i had not even recived the single message or call from company about refund of Rs.98.00. Then after calling them they told to recharge the same again.

                        I had requested them to deduct the geniune outgoing calls made from my number and refund the illegal amount deducted from my main balance at the earliest.

                        I want proper and legal process done from your side.

                          I am raising this this as I am very pissed off at Idea service.
                          I have two complaints to make:

                          1. On 6th June, I received a call from Idea to inform me about a new scheme with which my call rates would be reduced. I told him I was busy, and he said he would call later. I find out that 299 rs have been deducted from my balance without my confirmation.

                          2. I have been following up with IDEA customer care since 12th of June. I called up IDEA customer care on th 12th to be told that my issue would be resolved in the next 48 hours. When I called on the 15th, it turns out that my complaint was not registered at all on the 12th. It was registered on the 15th. The customer care guy said it would be resolved on the 18th. When I asked him to help me escalate the issue for the request not being registered on the 12th, all he kept saying was that 'Please bear with us. Your issue will be resolved soon'. On the 19th when I called again, I was told, my balance would be credited by 4 pm. When i called again at 5.30 pm, I was told that it would take another 24 to 48 hours. When I insisted that my issues should get resolved on the same day itself, (i.e 19th), the cus care guy said I would receive a call by the next day. I got a call again on the 20th from a lady who again tells me that it would take another 24 to 48 hours.

                          All in all, I am pissed off with the whole thing. Please help me escalate the matter
                          I have idea prepaid no. [protected]. I recharged Rs.49 STD Reduce .75paisa 4th july but Rs49 deduct double times from my balance. Please look into the matter. THANKS

                            I receiveed a Call from Idea Cellular from one Mr Savio explaining to me the various schemes that Idea has launched, I requested not to deduct any money from my account if required i will recharge with Rs 297/- for the scheme of rs 0.50 from Idea to Idea and rs 0.60paise for any other call, But Inspite of my request to Mr Savio Idea cellular has deducted an amount of Rs 297/- which I have Duly Complaimed to the concerned authorities for which they have sent me a SMS saying your referance no is[protected] and the sae will be processed by 15th June 2009 by 16.26 PM, I Have Been Beating Around the Bush for my money calling Idea Cellular but to of no avail. Could Kindly come to my aid and Have Idea Cellular to Have My Money Refunded Into My Account

                              Hi,

                              I told for disconnection and at the time of disconnection told them do not call back for confirmation of disconnection. Disconnect it now. But they did not disconnect connection and asked twice to thrice for confirmation and took 10-15 days.(They were continuing for earning money.) And send bill for the period after we told to disconnect them. and still adding 50/- per month and sending bill. That card took from corporate plan of tata motors i left that company, i told this thing also them but they did not disconnected.

                              i reply to their bill mail why r u charging and for what but no reply.mail are attached below.

                              I told for disconnection and at the time of disconnection told them do not call back for confirmation of disconnection. Disconnect it now. But they did not disconnect connection and asked twice to thrice for confirmation and took 10-15 days.(They were continuing for earning money.) And send bill for the period after we told to disconnect them. and still adding 50/- per month and sending bill. That card took from corporate plan of tata motors i left that company, i told this thing also them but they did not disconnected.

                              i reply to their bill mail why r u charging and for what but no reply.mail are attached below.

                                  Since last 5 years I am using IDEA prepaid cellular phone No.[protected]. Since last Two months I am recieving lot off criket based SMS to my mobile and IDEA cellular is charging for each SMS. I repeatedly asked to the customer care for stopping all these chargeable SMS at immediate effect but still it is not stopped by IDEA. I am here by request to stop all those chargeable SMS to my mobile No.[protected] with immediate effect.

                                    My ISD Tariff Plan is Cancelled Without any Notice or Information

                                    I Have Use Idea Mobile From Last Five Six years and its give a good facility

                                    But last month I wont to call in International Call that’s way I can recharge my mobile with 101 ISD Facility in tariff of I can call USA Canada And UK Fixed Line Phone and Mobile Phone but when I tack this at that time they give me one month validity for this facility and I can you 36 minutes and I save 14 minute for last tow day I wont to call but now my ISD call is not used and when I told to idea representative told me idea can change tariff so what can I do

                                    Idea — Tariff information

                                    There was no prior intimation regarding the change of tariff.Previously it was Spice & now it is Idea, customers are not aware of what is happening regarding tariff.It was Manipal sim there was good offer of 10 paise per call, so i had took it for 2 years validity all of a sudden call rates jumped without any information.there is no network coverage also it is very bad.

                                    I have called customer care lot of times they just try to skip without any proper reason.

                                    Is there any suggestion for this????

                                        Hello,

                                        I have a mobile No. [protected] on which GPRS 0 rental plan was activated . Its working ok till today 19/6/2009 & I had balance of Rs 50 approx in the morning, after that I have never called any one not surfed at all till 2.00 PM. when I was calling to one fellow at 2 pm its telling ""You have minimum balance, I got shocked !!! I checked my balance its were 2 Rs.approx. I called to customere care & they told you have used GPRS in between 1.15 to 2.00PM, which was absolutely wrong as I was taking lunch at that time & never given to phone to anyone too..
                                        These people made me fool..& deducted my balance without any cause.
                                        After asking they inform me they will give the detail information in which they will provide the of downladed size in Kb MB.
                                        I asked them to give detail for the site or URL visted But they told its not possible..Even I had not used or surf at all, I asked for this.
                                        This is nice way to deduct money from gentleman which idea people had done.Detail = only how many byte u have downloaded /suffing KB size providing???
                                        Not giving URL name /site visited details too..is this call as detail?
                                        As I am dam sure I have not used GPRS then why should I pay? but they made me fool & cut my balance too.
                                        So I am took lesson from this compny & immediately disconnect my GPRS connection settings.
                                        I am so lucky thatI ahven't put much balance like 250+ else these people will deduct my acount balance from Rs 250 to 2 Rs without any information .
                                        Nice IDEA ...To make people Fool..
                                        Make GentleMan into frustrated people.. GOOD IDEA.. keep ahead & loose your valuble customers..

                                        Moral: Do not use IDEA GPRS. else your balance will be deducted magically thats is called IDEA..

                                        idea_gprs — without acknowledgement deduct my balance

                                        R/s sir,
                                        i m ur customer from last 4yrs .i had 5 Rs. per day deduction plan for idea_GPRS.It has deactivated without my knowledge and my 550 Rs also deducted for using of gprs .i called to c_care they told it has deducted for gprs using charges and now u hv zero rental plan.
                                        i hvn't mind for it.
                                        then i send request for 10 Rs. per day plan for GPRS on 17 jul08 after i discuss with c_care they told to me it will activated when ur 10 Rs. will deducted .On 19 jul08 at 4:00 pm i got a message my 10 Rs. has deducted then i have used GPRS after this my 260 Rs. has deducted in 40 minutes. So please you can check it with my account theny please solve my problem as per your convenient.

                                        AGAIN FOOLED BY THEMSELVES..
                                        I disconnect my GPRS by deleting its setting on 19/6/2009 on the day..I called up Customer care..Miss.. Yogini Joshi, A head from Idea GPRS dept. told me to do so & I deleted my GPRS setting.& she assured now onwords no balance will deducted wrongly on GPRS Value added service, as no GPRS setting in handset.afterwords on 20/6/2006 I recharged my balance by Rs. 100.& got nearby 90 Rs balance.
                                        & when on next day morning I cheked my balance it was showing only Rs 3. Now again Ishocked same case repeat & IDEA company's Customer care /GPRS dept people told me that I have used the internet on GPRS.even I have not made a single call/not used GPRS.
                                        Now I am become creazy..what to do? I can't recharge as balance is gets deducted automatically.If I recharge it balance is gets deducted automatically & after calling Customer care they are telling you have used internet.If I had used GPRS what is need to write this complaint on this site?
                                        But although have't used GPRS these people are deducting my balance automatically & says you have used it.
                                        What do now?

                                        My mobile number is [protected] pre paid connection.With effect from 23-12-09 GPRS Rental @ Rs 20/- per day is being deducted from my balance even neither I have opted for this service nor I want this service.Tried to resolve this problem through your Customer Care Service No. 12345,Not got connected to you.Rendering me to explore/resolve my problem through this medium.

                                        Looks like an old post, but I thought I would share some stuff...
                                        Actually, data transfer doesn't just happen only if you open a browser and visit sites. It can also happen between applications communicating with the internet. For example, if you have Email check avaiable that checks every 1hour or so, it automatically uses WIFI or GPRS to check new mail.
                                        The best way is to remove the APN settings if you are not using GPRS, and only use it when you know you are browsing.
                                        Even though their charges might just be a few ps per MB, that can easily exhaust 400 or 500 bucks easily.
                                        just leave IDEA and switch to AIRTEL which is providing unlimited internet(2gb)for 30 days for Rs.98.


                                        IDEA Stupid.
                                        idea should soon think of a better idea otherwise the idea on which they are running currently on may prove to be the idea of how to loose subscribers .
