This is to draw your kind attention towards the miserable condition of Garia Railways station which comes under Sealdah South division. There is no board mentioning the name of the station at the entrance of the platform, instead an advertisement hording is put up there, no announcements are made in the station about the trains, the EVM is not working for last 4 months which causes a great trouble for the passengers. The platform is overcrowded with vendors and stalls. Hope the situation will get your immediate attention and actions will be taken accordingly.

Sir This has become a regular pain for the passengers travelling the A.C. Coaches specially in the seats near the toilets because of rats. Myself travelling on 8th September 2014 from Raipur Jn to Howrah Station by PNR No. [protected], train no.-12809, Howrah Mail, coach no. - B1, seat no. 60, A.C. 3 tier, ticket by the name of Chitra Saha. My luggage suitcase has been damaged by rat beyond repairable along with the luggage of two other families travelling with me. Myself along with other families also have lodged complaint in the train complaint's book and one can verify by that. This is nothing new, it has become regular pain for the passengers travelling in A.C. Coaches. Please look into the matter. Otherwise one can never have compliance while travelling with Indian Railways.

Dear sir/madam, i have travelled from train no 15941 from asansol to new Jalpaiguri on 27th april 2019 with pnr no [protected] . My brand new bagpak wild craft along with precious items and clothes are damaged by rats during the journey in 3rd Ac coach B2 (Seat no 41, 42, 43& 44). It is very disappointing to see the damaged bag nibbled by rats. I expect a refund for the damage as displayed in the snap else will have to approach consumer forum.

      Address: Vadodara, Gujarat

I was travelling in train no 11009 Gujarat Express in tatkal quota on 7/9/2014 from Mumbai Central to Vadodara bearing a eticket with PNR [protected] with and id proof of my Learners licence wen i was asked to present my id proof by the platform tc it was discarded my Mr Jha saying "Tumhe kya mein pagal lagta hu pehli baar khada hu yahape" and further on abusing he claimed that the license i presented to him was a xerox of orignal and wont be accepted but the license I presented was orignal license of Mumbai RTO an had the silver hologram which cant be faked and is put on to make sure if the licence is xerox it would appear dark I tried numerous times to convince mr jha to just look at it just again he also caught a senior citizen who had zerox photo id the hologram was not seen wen i asked him to compare them he got up yelled at me came charging towards me and pushed me 3 times saying"tujhe maine bola na chup karke yaha baithja chup chap baithe reh yaha nahi toh ek chapat marunga" saying this he raised his hand wen this happened there where 4 other TC and a railway staff but none of them tried to stop me with dis i picked my mob and called my driver who was outside station and called him inside wen he entered he was questioned about platform ticket and since he dint had one 2 TC caught him and took him aside . How can they expect my driver to stand in Q and take a ticket when MR Jha with his staff was getting physical . Would anyone on his place can wait when u can see through the window that someone yours is getting attacked by a man twice his size in his room under his powers . I den called my dad who had just return from a business trip after a week, exhausted he had to come there driving by himself . By the time he came I realised I had my aadhar card with him too which I presented to him which he discarded when I asked him y is he not accepting it he said " jab maine tujhe pucha tab tune bola tha mujhe, Tu bula le jise chahiye usko bula le tu bahot kudh raha tha woh bhi paisa bharke gaye (senior couple) tu bhi paisa deke jayega ab " wen I asked him u just forcefully want to extortmoney out of me he said "haa janbuchke hi lena hai mereko"... ALL This Conversation Was Taped in my mobile I DO HAVE A VIDEO!!!... When my dad came he asked him y are we supposed to pay the fine. he said "pehle batana chahiye kabse magmari kar raha hai. orignal id chahiye yeh nahi chalta when asked kya chalta hai he said jo chalta hai woh chalta hai" My dad went to station master wen he had send him pune to call hime he said" boldo jha sahab nahi aarahe hai unko chahiye toh idhar ayengey " (This was said to a class II officer by him).. Station master on listening to our case forced him to leave me ...but we wer not done yet.. He anyway just had to extract some money from us he said my driver will have to pay rs 320 just because the lates train arrived at the station was Jammu tavi express from jammu kashmir and we had to its full fare from trains first to last stop . This was the price we were forced to pay for just my drivers mistake of entering his office and try saving me from him. We moved to railway police where we wanted to file a complain we wer said ki sirf dhakka mara usmein kya complain karneka hum baat karte hai they did send a constable with us how was shouting at me for presenting the xerox license in the first place and had no problem whatsoever with yelling at me or pushing me!!! while he was talking with me, Mr Jha yelling caught the attention of a senior man who was a railway employee . He was off duty and was leaving for his house (who was a saviour for me) he did said us that entering the platform without a ticket is an offence but when told about Mr Jha physical attitude he backed off saying he doesnt knows the whole case. When I did presented him my license He CONFIRMED it that it had govt of india hologram and it was not a duplicate but a original one. He was head ticket collector and had a squad under him. the lady police office incharge of that platform still wanted us to bride them she said that by saying kuch toh abhi apne hisab se fine de dena we were against it . The senior ticket collector found a midway and asked us to apologize to mr jha and asked him to leave us . We surely did that not because we wer wrong but we just came to this bad side of indian railway . By the time we were done with this it was already past 3 my train had arrived at 12:40.. I was almost 3 hours and I had severe cold which was the reason I came baroda to my home from my collage in Pune . I had severe headache dint slept last night as was travelling from pune commencing my journey at midnight to catch my train in Mumbai at 5 dint had dinner last night was starving bad and had almost lost my voice by the time I reached Baroda due to excess cold, I yelled at every word I spoke at the station . Still I apologized, felling pity at myself standing in the land of 3rd best state in India and just been done dealing with the Asia's no 1 railways employees. This incident is something too hard to believe and even i would have if had been narrated to me but I do have evidence I have recorded video using my mobile in which my dad is been clearly threatened with 2 police in the same room "mein agar chahoo toh aapse lad sakta hu soch lijiye abhi mein naukri pe hu " .I sincerely plead indian railway to take strong action against him . Please do help to make sure nobody else goes through this ever. I do have recorded videos which i would like to share if any media person would show me any slightest of interest. Some time ago I was truly convinced that if not in whole India atleast gujarat has experienced ACCHE DIN but I feel sorry I will have to wait for some more years hope not decade... Thank You

I had booked a ticket through online from IRCTC site for journey from Howrah to Asansol on 28.07.2014(Booking Date: 25.07.2014 by Double Decker Train (No: 12385) having PNR no: [protected]. But on Scheduled date of journey i.e 28.07.14, the above train was cancelled due to some unavoidable reason. Therefore, the tour was performed by another train on spot reservation. We are supposed to stay at a place (about 50 Kms from Asansol, West Bengal) due to some emergency work for more than fifteen days and also unable to file TDR due to non-availability of Internet services. We also considered as the train was cancelled by the Railway authority without any natural calamity / man-made incidents, the refund will be automatically credited to the Bank A/c. Any fault to refund the ticket fare is not attributable to us. Till date no refund credited to our Bank A/c. We also contacted several times with IRCTC but no fruitful result obtain. Plz. do needful

                      Respected sir,

This is to bring to your notice that my wife hand bag had theft
by unknown person while shifting my luggage in
Sleeper coach at Krishna express on 7th aug
                      2014,

Actually I have plan to travel with old mother
(age 55 &handicapped) &my wife having baby (10 months old) from
                      tirupathi to vijayawada.

                      I have 2 bags + 2
polythene carry bags & my wife carrying baby so that she kept hand

Along with 4 bags. Somebody had theft my wife hand
very intelligently from out of 4 bags on right time,

After that I have informed railway protection force they have taken my
mobile no with address. After that they did not given any receipt. Simply they have
                      suggested me as

"You have to take care that is not our responsibility”

I think there is no.of thieves moving surrounding the platform.

                      why it is happen ?

Root cause: No one did not check platform ticket from passengers
& no one RPO did not perform their
                      duties properly .
                      anyone can carry any type
of things easily because of their irregularity security in duties.
i think few railway staff behind thieves then only it is

Same thing happened for my Mayiladuthurai and Mysore Express (16231 and 16232). They removed the stops CRLM and Kengeri (KGI).These are useful stations for the passengers to skip Bangalore traffic to go SBC.Pls make the stops as usual and update the same in IRCTC for ticket booking.

To, 14 August 2014 Manager Complaints Team South Central Railway Indian Railways India From, Mr. Vinin M Felix Muringampurath House P. O Vadakkumpuram Koottukad, N. Pravoor Cochin - 683521 Kerala, India Dear Sir/Madam Sub: Complaint Case Consideration / Date of Journey - 30/07/2014 Ref: Theft Incident on or after Chennai Central Station/Alleppy - Dhanbad Train My name is Vinin M Felix and am writing to you with regards to the theft incident occurred in the Dhanbad Express Train on 31 July 2014 early morning at 2am. I am writing to you with deep most concern and disappointment on this occasion as I strongly state that the above incident happened due to South Central Railway's insufficient security measures and also irresponsible attitude on ticket allocation which crucially made a negative impact on passenger safety. I was totally broken and absolutely sad when I reached my destination station. I am extremely annoyed on the fact that I have lost my valuables such as Mobile phones, Memory cards, Wallet (500 INR), Wrist watch, Debit cards, Voters Id, Pan card and other items worth nearly 1, 00, 000 INR. I have registered case against the theft incident at Vishakapatnam RPF Section and hold a current valid FIR for reference. I am totally shattered due to the amount of loss happened to the lower middle class common man in me which makes it extremely difficult for me to recover or re-build those lost properties. I am writing to you in order to request for compensation towards my loss on the below grounds:- 1. Unauthorised waiting list passengers were allowed to the compartment. 2. Insufficient Security measures on the trains i.e. door locks and night watchman duties 3. Train halt at unauthorised place in the middle of the night for whatsoever reasons I am hoping that you make necessary enquiries and arrangements in order to meet my complaint positively so that I will be reimbursed for my loss. I hereby attach the following as circumstantial evidence so that the complaint procedure will be followed up as early as possible. Copies of Train Ticket and FIR are enclosed for your reference. I am happy to provide if you require any more details. Kindly look in to the matter shortly and let me have a response as and when you are dealt with my complaint in a satisfying manner. I have taken time and effort to write to you on the above matter and considering that we will be able to resolve this on the complaint handling level or a level above. I will be forced to go higher level to prove my request If I will be dragged on the complaint handling. Hence I once again kindly request to respond with an effective reply or outcome on the complaint so that the future passengers will be secured and their safety will be measured at the most importance level henceforth. I look forward hearing from you. Kind Regards Vinin M Felix Cochin, Kerala

Dear Sir/Madam, I am Mukul Kumar Tripathi, I had booked two train tickets from Bhopal to Gwalior and New Delhi through IRCTC for the date of 1st August 2014, Following are the both PNR No's [protected] and [protected] respectively. On the same day train Punjab mail/ 12137 had been delayed more than 8 hours and according to rule if train has gone late more than 3 hours then the full amount of basic fare would be refund but in my case after filing of TDR Indian railway has been refund me only half amount of basic fare in both above mention tickets. After that when I contacted to IRCTC regarding the mention subject they reply me by below mention mail "Dear Customer, As per the policy framed by Railway Board against the PNR No.[protected] and [protected], refund is processed by the Zonal Railway under whose jurisdiction station of the train falls. IRCTC only provides access to Railway Passenger Reservation System through its server and internet connectivity to book the ticket through it. Railway and IRCTC are different entities. TDR filed by the customers are directly dealt by the concerened Railway for decision. IRCTC has no role in deciding the refund. On receipt of refund amount from the Railways, it is credited to the account of the customer through same payment gateway which was used while making booking." Please look into this matter Regards Mukul Kumar Tripathi [protected]

Yesterday my father (Asthma patient) and uncle (psychiatric patient) were coming back from Calcutta medical college by superfast express (coromandal exp) with a general ticket (70/-) in general coach from Howrah to Kharagpur. The ticket were made by ATVM machine at howrah jn south new complex (by my brother who has not come with them) not by counter (Tct. No.Z08059221/222). When they got down from train on platform at kharagpur railway station and started to leave by stairs, one running TTE (traveling ticket examiner) caught them and asked to give ticket. My father and uncle showed the ticket, then he snatched ticket from them and asked to pay fine 860/-. My father and uncle got scared and asked to TTE for what reason I have pay. TTE told whichever the ticket is not valid because it is not up to balesore (minimum distance) and TTE took them to one room and told them -'you have to pay fine 860/- otherwise i'll not give you your ticket'. Fortunately, I called my father that time to know where they are and knew everything and tried to communicate with the TTE, but TTE refused to communicate with me. After that My father and uncle had been to much scared by eight TTEs in TTE room and finally my father borrowed money from other person and gave money to TTE because they did not have money that time with them. Then they came out from room. Two points come into picture: 1. TTE checked ticket on platform not in train. So, TTE is not doing their duty in train, but he is showing to higher authority that he is doing their duty in train. 2. There is no public awareness that some trains have distance limitation in traveling. There should be some display or announcement regarding distance limitation which can help common people in traveling.

I am highly disappointing by the extent of corruption within Railway. But now I need to prove (as per IRCTC/TDR system) that Mr. Suresh Patil and Mrs. Mangala Patil had not traveled on 17th February 2014. Hence, I sent all the necessary details for IRCTC reference. At least, I expected some decency from TDR team to go through all the details to avoid further complication. Attachments : 1) Chronology of entire IRCTC event. (PDF file) 2) Photographs of Mr. Suresh patil attending "Shiv Jayanti" at Jalgaon. 3) Identity proof of Mr. Suresh Patil. Aadhar card and Passport. NOTHING HAS HAPPENED TILL DATE. What should a common person do now ? Regards, [protected] Suresh Patil
