The information given at the time of taking this policy by your insurance advisor (Mr anup bhandari) was that i will be getting my total paid premiums as well as the bonus accumulated - 10% of total deposit value once i surrender my policy (After minimum 5 yrs lock in period). Now the email that i received from maxlife grievance team shows a different calculation.. Which is as follows

As per email — the cash surrender value will be at least 30% of all premiums paid (Excluding first years’ premium)..

That means i will lose the maximum 70% of the premium amount which i paid from my pocket. I want to know why this was not told by max life appointed agent at the time of applying for the policy. Why should i lose my hard earned money to this company's agents fault. I spoke to the agent (Mr. Anup bhandari) today. He told me the same thing again. He says he was trained to give the information that he gave me initially to apply for this policy.

Also this company is not giving any replies to my email about claiming my bonus or the surrender value if i surrender my policy on a later date.

I want to take strict action against this company and agent.

Dear Consumer complaints team,

I have a received a call again from Mr. verma [protected], he has assured me to refund my entire policy premium amount to my bank account, provided I give him my debit card or credit card no.

As soon as I realized that hes trying to cheat me and its a scam call I shouted at him on the phone and later he hung up.

Kindly take action on this guy immediately. Also please inform members to stay alert.

    This is to inform you that my salary account is with axis bank, dalhousie branch, clive row, kolkata-700001. While discussing with one of the staffs in the bank, (Mr. Prasenjit paul) regarding parking of some amount of rs.1.50 lakhs, mr. Prasenjit paul had told me that i can put the money with your max life. I had, in fact, told him that this money i require after 3 or 4 months when my daughter’s marriage would take place. He also clearly told me that i can withdraw this money any time after 2 months and with that clear understanding only i took up this max life under his assurance that the money would be returned back to me with interest. He never told me that i have to pay rs.1.50 lakh every year and that too for 8 years with maturity of 20 years. All this he never informed me at the time of taking the money from my bank account and kept me in dark by telling all lies. I trusted him because he being an axis bank employee, i just believed his version without a second thought. Later on now when i went through the policy, the actual thing has come to light that i have to pay every year. This fact i informed your agent, mr. Prasenjit paul within the validity of 15 days look in period, but he vehemently denied that whatever mentioned in the policy cannot be taken for granted and that he will arrange the money to be refunded to me anytime i wanted within 3 to 4 months. All along he was bluffing me and wanted me to continue with this policy by hiding the facts to me and now when i wanted the money back from this deposit, he says that he is no more in that branch and that the money cannot be refunded unless i pay for another 2 premiums in the next two years etc. Etc. This matter he never told me in the initial stage within 1 month after taking the policy and he has been forcing me to take it telling that nothing to worry about and he will arrange the refund etc whenever i want the money. If i do not pay any further premium next year (After one year), i will not get back the premium already paid and if i continue to pay another 2 premiums, at the end of 3rd year i will get 30% only. This fact he never told me and repeatedly he was telling me lies that the 1st premium of rs.1.55l which i paid would be available for me to take back any time, i. E. After 2 months with interest, etc. Now that my daughter’s marriage has been finalized to take place within 3 months, i require the money very badly and this i explained to him at the time of taking this policy and with his full assurance i agreed to go ahead with this investment. If he had told me the truth and facts in the beginning itself, why should i take the risk of blocking the money in the first place? He misled me and dragged me into this investment telling all lies. Even when i got your telephone call saying that i have to pay every year, the agent told me to not worry and that my money would be refunded any time i want, etc. Etc. He totally misled me by hiding the facts. I was misled by mr. Prasenjit paul of your branch (At that time) and told me all lies. He even told me that i have to pay only once and this money can be withdrawn any time as i had clearly told that this is for the marriage of my daughter and parking only for 2/3 months. Despite knowing everything clearly, he trapped me and took me for a ride. He had clearly done cheating with me by giving wrong guidance.
    Under the circumstances, i would request you to kindly arrange to refund the amount which i kept for my daughter’s marriage only as temporary investment and not for long term investment.
    Kindly consider my request in the right perspective and return the amount at the earliest.

      I have applied for maxlife fast track plan on as application no[protected] and premium amount has been received to you on 12th june 2017. But still application is in process. It is very sad that you are trying to hold the amount unnecessarily in the name of processing. I have responded all the queries. Nothing ls left with me. Kindly check the delay in finalise the application no. If it is not feasible to accept it kindly revert the payment immediately.

      no progress has been communicated. Still case is pending with CMO. He isn't taking any action since last one week. The max is continuously using Rs 75000/-paid as premium from last 35 days. It seems delay in processing is doing purposely .

        I have puchased term plan online and i made the payment on 3-7-17 my medical also done on 4-7-17 but after payment there is no followup by maxlife and they don't update anything. Even after several call from my side the customer care didn't raise my compliant. They are not for customer support they are just trying to make fool and giving excuses. Today is 13-7-17 but they said my policy are on initial stage and they don't know why. Means once you make the payment they didn't bother for ur money ur time they just harass you. Please don't take any max policy.

          I am hold a policy with max life insurance (Max life gain plus 20 yrs 6 pay) policy agent yes bank agent id 450986 told me that policy is for 6 years only after 6 year i can surrender my policy and i will get double of my paid amount but when i am contacting max life customer care they told me that my policy is for 20 year instead of 6 years and i can't surrender my policy before 20 years if i surrender my policy before 20 years i will get only 30% of total paid amount. Why this clarity are not being given to the client at the initial time itself, so it means are they cheating the public, how to raise voice against these insurance companies, will the government extended help to close such insurance companies who are cheating the public money. Can anyone guide us how to challenge these fraud insurance companies who do fraud with innocent people.

          I have paid 1 lakh rupeed (20, 000 rs yearly from 2012 to till date) and when i was asking for surrender value max life insurance company is offering 40000 rs. 60, 000 less then my paid amount this is a open fraud.

          Dear Mr. Yuveraj Bali how long you will take to investigate my Policy complaint Ticket No #18357362 almost 2 weeks over.
          Mine is a similar case too- I had paid all my premiums and now I wish to surrender my policy and all they say is I only get 48k (I paid about 90K+). It makes no sense to give only 30 % of what we paid so far, even though I have no premiums left. And none of this was explained when I signed up for the policy.

            I have a term life insurance policy number[protected] with max life insurance. The renewal premium was a due in 7th july, i had sent policy service form requesting not a to deduct the premium automatically as i don't intend to renew. Told i will i pay by cheque if i want to renew.
            The request letter was scanned and sent to their mail id, a it was processed and confirmed​ that it is processed.
            On july due date recently, the amount was debited from my credit card statement.
            I called them and call center executive said... We cannot refund.
            Please help in returning my premium back to credit card.

            Happy to see your response, will be more happy to find a resolution amicably at shortest period. Please identify your position in the company, so that i can believe who has responded to my question. You can listen to the call tapes on my conversations on this issue.
            1. All the communication is available at ur end, still u ask when mail sent, date, mail id etc which u needn't ask and waste customer time.
            2. The language option 1 for English doesn't work. When press 1 it says invalid entry... Googebumps to customer... Wait one more... I had selected other languages, and selected Telugu... The call was answered in Hindi ... Whose English is not good.

            Received the refund...Thanks a lot.
            Even after request is sent for not to deduct amount through ecs that too after processing your request & confirmed is very bad & not in accordance with IRDA guidelines. Only thing is once ecs opted which holds good for 5 years & cannot be revoked until such time, whereas in this case insurer will have to refund the deducted amount.
            You may pl be put in writing requesting insurer to refund the amount & if no reply is received or not satisfied lodge a complaint to the insurance ombudsman for non refund of premium along with interest for delay.
            Happy to see your response, will be more happy to find a resolution amicably at shortest period.

                  I have filled partial application on 18/06/2017. I have paid the amount for 85 lacs term insurence and 25 lacs for accidental coverage. I have paid online rs.20383.
                  After that system shows some different/wrong values for the equote (Equote no. Orsx1808). It is showing the coverage around 45 lacs and premium some rs. 11500. Also it is showing my annual salary rs. 4 lacs instead of rs. 14 lac 30 thousand.

                  I have send more than 28 mails to maxlife customer care and they told they will revert but no action has been taken. (I can provide details of all mail communications)

                  I have called more than 60 times to maxlife customer care they also confirmed the receipt of the payment but were not aware what to do in this case.

                  Worst experience is that they are even disconnecting my calls now.

                  I even remembered many names of maxlife customer care persons.

                  After this experience i dont want to continue with max. So please help me to get my money back so that i can get insurence from proper provider.

                    My premium amount is 20k. I took policy on 2015 sep.. Till now I Paided two premium 40k. if I will be closing before 3rd premium or after 3rd premium what is the surrender amount I will get ..
                    I asked Maxlife customer they said if am closing after 3rd premium they will return only 15k but they mentioned in document if am closing 2nd year surrender value is 30k... But now they are saying only 15k that also after 3rd premium..

                      Hi am nitin tyagi i am a 4 years old max bhupa customer when i upgrade my policy to add my mother and wife in my health insurance that time max bhupa executive saying in this policy maternity plan delivery time all expenses will be paid by max bhupa health insurance and after baby born baby will b covered in insurance for 1 year all vaccination and hospital charges am saying ok you can add my mother and wife in my health insurance... I am paying every year 19, 100/- after renewable max bhupa wordings we are paying only 25, 000/- delivery time.. If my bill will b 85000/- max bhupa only paying 25, 000/-

                      My only concern ke jhuut bol ke policy mat becho...

My policy number is[protected].I had surrendered my policy after 3 year lock period as all time I want to surrender the policy they said that you have to deposit your policy till 3 years only after that your amount will be refunded but now they are not returning our amount and saying that lock in period is 5 years ( earlier all time they said lock period is 3 year )

                          I had taken a policy on 2012 and in that very year I wanted to switch my policy to some other policy which I was told that I can do so after 3 years.

                          Now after 3 years they say that the policy which I took cannot be changed to any other policy.

                          Now when I send them mails regarding to surrender my policy I get a message Which READS

                          I am sending a copy of it.

                          Max life claims to give honest information to the policy holders but in my case I was totally misled just to sell one policy.

                            I am a policy holder of Max Life Insurance and I have to filled a complaint that I have been misguided about the policy also in all the policy documents my signature was missing in (illustration, policy acknowledgement) documents.
                            Without my signature in the acknowledgement receipt they have processed my policy, so I have never accepted that policy .
                            So now since I have paid from 2011 amount of 88000 every year for 6 years I want my money back with 2011 FD compounding interest till date .since my money have been locked for 6 years with Max Life .
                            I am giving 2 weeks of time to the company to refund my money with complete FD compounding FD rate interest from 2011 till date .
                            If company paid my money within 2 weeks I will accept the money otherwise I will file a complain against Max Life Insurance in consumer court for misguided and cheating .

                              Hi Consumer Forum Team,

                              This is indeed disappointing to find that the max life insurance customer care informed me about my surrender amount to be only 30% of the invested amount till date with Max Life Insurance.

                              I was not given and told complete information about the policies being followed and applicable for the given life insurance. The details were hid from us and we're misled by providing incomplete information to opt for Max Life insurance.

                              Looking at the number of complaints against Max Life Insurance itself suggests that the company and its agents are doing all kind of frauds and are Misleading the customers very often.

                              I want to surrender my insurance and I want to receive my entire investment back. I will not let anyone take my hard earned money on fraud basis.

                              The number of complaints will itself prove the legitimacy of the complaints which are being made. I will file an official case against the company if I didn't get my entire money back then.

                              I have been receiving agent's call again and again, when there is already a complaint made against Miss-selling. I also received a call, stating to be from Max Life Insurance office Head-Pune, seeking for a discussion, where I tried my best to justify the reason of making the complaint. The sole intention to receive his call is to communicate the reason of making the complaint, and should not be used otherwise/against me by Max in any way.

                              I am very much disappointed with Max-Life Insurance service overall. I received a call from Max-Life Customer care and now they are trying to justify their fraud by giving reference to the policy document's 15 days return policy. The policy was made to sign up-front first, without handing over any document and without giving entire information about the policy being given.!

                              If I didn't get my entire money back at the earliest then, I would like to take this matter in the civil-court, and would involve each and every customer who has suffered from Max-Life Insurance misdeed and fraud.

                              Dear Mr. Tiwari,



                              Greetings from Max Life Insurance!



                              This is with reference to your email dated Jul 07, 2017 and our telephonic discussion regarding the same.



                              As discussed, we wish to draw your attention to Protection of Policyholder’s Interest Regulations 2002 issued by Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India, wherein the policyholder is given the option to cancel their policy within 15 days from the date of receipt of the policy bond, if he / she is not satisfied with the terms and conditions of the policy.



                              We also wish to inform you that the Max Life Insurance does not encourage alleged discrepancies or issue any insurance contract based on incorrect information. The Company as a part of its internal policy always sends the policy bond with all the supporting documents to the policyholder for reiterating the terms of the policy.



                              The said policies were issued on Jan 06, 2014 basis the receipt of completely filled proposal forms signed by by you, accepting the terms and conditions of the policies. As per our internal policy, a copy of the proposal form and the policy contract was handed over to you on time and the same has been confirmed by you. The contract included a detailed benefit illustration explaining the returns for various investment yield scenarios was also a part of the policy packs received by you and the same was duly signed by you.To this effect, we express our inability to cancel the policies and refund the premium paid as the 'free look period' has lapsed.



                              Further, we would like to inform you that surrender value of a policy is strictly governed by the terms & conditions of the policy contract and these terms & conditions are part of our product approval processes which follow a due approval process by the regulator. We also wish to draw your attention towards the surrender clause mentioned in the policy terms & conditions. It states as below:



                              After the Policy has been in force for at least three years and provided all the Premiums have been paid for three full years, then the Company will grant a cash surrender value which will be not less than 30% of the Premium(s) (excluding the first year's Premium) received but never more than the base face amount of the policy. The cash surrender value payable will be subject to the condition that the Policy is in full force and that there are no statutory or other restrictions to the contrary.



                              The current surrender value of the aforesaid policies are Rs.46, 745, Rs.36, 959 and Rs.47, 572 .In case you wish to surrender the policies and take the surrender value, you are requested to visit any of your nearest Max Life office and submit the following documents:



                              • Surrender Form duly filled and signed by the policyholder.

                              • Original Policy packs.

                              • Copy of PAN card (self attested).

                              • Cancelled Cheque with pre-printed name and account number. (If not printed, copy of the bank passbook/statement with printed account holder details)



                              We sincerely urge you to continue with the policies keeping its long term benefits in mind.



                              The above complaint registered under reference number 18348606 has been resolved by the undersigned in my capacity of grievance redressal officer.                                 I have purchased max term plan online and after that go through their medical process. Blood report, urine report and ecg. I got email that i have impaired glucose tolerance. I socked...

                                As per my attached reports before one month it was normal and today again i confirmed from their laboratory partner my reports are normal.

                                They mailed me because they want high premium send me wrong information. Thing is they are cheating with customers who don't know about their medical.

                                Please take action on max life insurance. I also raised complain to insurance authority, grahak surkhsha and other who can provide justice.

                                  No my complaint is not resolved as i already told u i didn't got working contact no. Of the agent and didn't received call of the agent from her working contact no. And that day u are saying that agent called me she misbehaved with me by using abusive language and said call only on office number and whenever i call on office number she is not available these types of agents u recruit. Very shameless people i want my money back even a single penny by the company or by agent or i'll go to court regarding the issue u know ur company's reputation is not that gud now. I want agent to call me on my no. And apologise to me but from her personal contact number and politely apologise not again misbehaving by using bad words.

                                    Maxlife a fraudulent company please beware before investing your hard earned money. There is heavy data leakage of policy numbers, premium data, personal data and other internal information. Maxlife also had accepted the same. There are lot of people in market using this data and forging premium paid towards the policy.
                                    Maxlife when asked denies all complaints please check in internet for number of fraud cases filed against maxlife,
                                    As a victim of these incidents i would request all the existing policy holders and people who are investing newly to check in the internet and go through all the complaints.
                                    Maxlife is not taking any responsibility in solving these issues and also they are not returning anybodies hard earned money. I myself have registered complaint in irda, tried filing case in police station, cybercrime and civil court, no use.
                                    Friends as a common man and citizen of india i can only educate people not to invest in this company or any insurance company before checking.
